Things are really fucked up. And people do some really, really terrible things. And it's human nature to want them to be held accountable, to want justice,

to want to feel like a right or wrong will be righted. And that's not always the case, is it? And we would hope and want that the justice system or God or some chance or happenstance will bring justice

before our eyes will bring justice in our lifetime so that we can see it and we can feel it and we can know that justice was served. And how interesting that that would bring some kind of peace, some kind of relaxation in the muscles in my neck, in my shoulders, in my back, that it would bring, we feel it would bring a better sense of

calmness and a restful sleep at night and hope, hope again in humanity and in the future and in ourselves. But that doesn't always happen, does it? Justice very often isn't served in front of us or in our lifetimes and very often the justice system.

It's not set up to write the wrong.
Faith in Spiritual Justice

And it's when I lean back on, it just is. And I get to trust that there is a law of cause and effect, that there is a law of karma.

and that the wrong will be righted. Maybe not what I would believe would be my satisfaction in this fleshly state as I sit here seething in anger and frustration because what happened to my nine-year-old son and to my daughter

doesn't look like justice will be served in my lifetime. It's fucked up. What I have is my belief, my spiritual belief that what goes around does come around. That there is law of cause and effect and there is the law of karma.

I don't have control over the justice system and I don't have control over the perpetrators. I don't have control over evil people, neither do you. I don't have control over their actions. And even in our power of desire and powerful thoughts and manifesting energy,

there's still universal workings. And so we have to allow for that.
Cultivating Personal Peace and Positivity

What can we do then? We can work on being at peace in ourselves. Because we are really all we have, aren't we? We can work on

loving those that are in our presence to love. We can work on being a better us every day. We can work on spreading light and positivity and goodness and our gifting and our purpose and making our environment

as best that we can, right? Contributing to the world that we would want to see, right? Like Mahatma Gandhi said, being the change that we want to see and being the love and the care and the peace and the light and the hope

and the joy and the forward movement and the spiritual elevation that we would want our kids to see and enjoy and experience and move in. These are the things that I know I have influence over. And so rather than be in depression or kill myself over the things that I

don't have control over. I choose. I choose to focus. I choose to give intention and attention to what I do have control over. What is within my grasp? What is within my power? And really what is within my calling and purpose? That's my choice.

And every one of us has that choice.
