Introduction and Guests
00:00:15
Denis Tyrell
Yo, welcome to the Triple T for Knife Makers podcast. I'm your host, Dennis Terrell of Terrell Knife Works, and today i have the one and only bald man from Bald Man Knife and Tool, Mr. Brent Smith.
00:00:28
Bald Man
Yo, what's up, guys?
00:00:31
Bald Man
What's happening, Dennis?
00:00:33
Denis Tyrell
geez, lots, lots is happening. I'm, I'm,
00:00:36
Bald Man
Busy, busy, huh?
Chicago Trip and Boot Camp Graduation
00:00:37
Denis Tyrell
I'm back with very little sleep coming in really late last night from the airport. But um yeah, it's all right.
00:00:47
Bald Man
Yeah, good, yeah. Looked like you got to spend a lot of time with the boys.
00:00:52
Denis Tyrell
I did. i did. That was so yeah, I'll kick that off. I, I, when we, yeah, Wednesday. i'm like, when do we go? Seems so long ago. Wednesday morning, we headed to Chicago, me my wife and my oldest son, Logan, to see Parker's boot camp graduation, which was Thursday morning.
00:01:16
Denis Tyrell
um And when I say morning, I'm using that term loosely. It was... Uh, we get there, we have to, um, pick up our tickets and like the tickets you have to like show ID.
00:01:29
Denis Tyrell
It's like a whole, you know, it's military thing, right?
00:01:33
Denis Tyrell
it's and It's not actually on the base, but it's at the next, the Navy exchange. And then we went to this meet and greet dinner whatever, but people start lining up to get into the ceremony 5.00 AM. Uh,
00:01:51
Denis Tyrell
i the gates don't open until six 30 and the ceremony starts at nine.
00:01:58
Denis Tyrell
oh ah yeah, it is ridiculous. Like the trend, like people are lined up for two miles down the road to get into the base.
00:02:07
Bald Man
That's crazy. Wow, that is crazy.
00:02:12
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. And I'm reading all these horror stories about, Oh yeah. You know, people sitting in line and moving like a quarter mile over like two hours. Um, and okay I'm going to tell a funny story. So I mapped it, right? I just went Google Maps and i mapped it to the gate, right? But I picked, I guess there's two gates.
00:02:31
Denis Tyrell
So I picked the wrong gate and that's the gate that like they don't they don't let um people in. That's for like people that actually work at the base, right? So they send us like, oh yeah, just obviously this happens all the time. And they say, oh yeah, make two, three left turns and you'll be there.
00:02:48
Denis Tyrell
Okay. So we get there and then, and we were there like 520 or something, 530 maybe. But instead of everyone, there's two miles of people on this road to turn right into the gate.
00:03:05
Denis Tyrell
We're the fourth car turning left.
00:03:08
Denis Tyrell
It took us about eight minutes to get in the gate.
00:03:11
Bald Man
Nice. You got to just come the other way, right?
00:03:13
Denis Tyrell
yeah and And Kim's like, if and she's like hounding me, like, I think we're in the wrong thing. I think we're the wrong thing. and i think we should be in that line. And I'm like, no, no, trust me. She's like, you're not going to be able to turn left.
00:03:24
Denis Tyrell
i' like Watch me.
00:03:26
Denis Tyrell
um Yeah. So I was the the downside is we had to sit on those cold like bleachers. It's like high school bleachers inside there for three hours.
00:03:38
Bald Man
At least it wasn't outside in cold bleachers.
00:03:41
Denis Tyrell
Oh, it couldn't have been. We'd be dead. question It was cold. the Actually, the the day of the graduation, like it went up to 60 degrees. Every other day, it was like in the 20s.
00:03:57
Bald Man
That's crazy. Well, at least you found the backdoor Willie
Family Reunion and Chicago Adventures
00:04:00
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, exactly. yeah um It was great. It was great ceremony. There's like a thousand... um recruits that are going through graduation every 48 times a year. Uh, it's insane. There's a lot of, uh, there was yeah, nine, nine to 10 divisions with 90, 90 something people in each division.
00:04:00
Bald Man
and you got in quick.
00:04:31
Denis Tyrell
And, um, yeah, but it was really cool.
00:04:33
Denis Tyrell
It was really cool.
00:04:34
Bald Man
that is That is really cool.
00:04:36
Denis Tyrell
Um, the big door opens and they all start marching in and, uh, and then they do this little circle look like around like the, the main floor and like the the band plays. And there's one, one, um, uh, division that's all they do is like, they're, they're the flag bearers.
00:04:55
Denis Tyrell
So they have all the States, all the territories, all of that. Um, And then they do like the they introduce every single state and they lift the flag and stuff. So the whole thing takes like 40 minutes for them to go through the whole thing. but Oh.
00:05:11
Bald Man
That's really cool, man.
00:05:12
Bald Man
um That's got to be like a super proud, proud dad, proud parent moment to be able to watch Parker go through that and see him, you know, taking those next steps.
00:05:22
Bald Man
You know, it's always cool to see your kids grow up and take steps.
00:05:25
Denis Tyrell
Totally. It was a very proud moment. um And then eventually, like after, it feels like forever, like the the um the
00:05:37
Denis Tyrell
master chief of the Navy, which is like the highest enlisted rank, he was actually there. And he did this speech on like... Honor, commitment, and
00:05:50
Denis Tyrell
honor, commitment. I can't believe I, he said like, he said each one like 50 times and had like 10 different definitions. His speech went on for like 20 minutes. I think everybody fell asleep through it. But yeah.
00:06:04
Denis Tyrell
But after that, um you know, and they finally and they announced that they're OK, they're sailors, whatever. And then they do they say Liberty call, Liberty call. And then everyone races down to the like the floor. Right.
00:06:17
Denis Tyrell
And we were in the second row because we got there so early and I was on the floor. like kim was Kim was laughing later. She goes, you do you took off. like you like i was like on the floor. Her and Logan were still in their seats. I was on the floor hugging Parker in like about three seconds it took me to get down there.
00:06:39
Denis Tyrell
But yeah, it was it was really cool.
00:06:41
Bald Man
So did you do Jared proud and did you shed a tear and get emotional with him?
00:06:47
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, many. um Just seeing him come in was awesome. It was really, really cool.
00:06:52
Denis Tyrell
And he's in his dress blues, which he actually had to stay in uniform the whole the whole three or four days.
00:07:00
Denis Tyrell
um Even like when he's on liberty.
00:07:03
Denis Tyrell
he Yeah. Yeah.
00:07:06
Denis Tyrell
So what did we do? We went to, yeah, we hung out at the, you know, the first day he just wanted to relax. Actually, the very first thing he wanted to do was go to McDonald's.
00:07:17
Denis Tyrell
So that's what we did when we picked them up. And then I went to the hotel and, you know, went to the pool and stuff like that. But then um ah we went to Chicago and had deep dish pizza at Giordano's, which is like a famous deep deep dish pizza place.
00:07:39
Denis Tyrell
ah it was It was good. It's not my thing, but... um Yeah. And all you people from Chicago, don't be sending me hate mail. I'm sorry, your pizza sucks.
00:07:51
Denis Tyrell
but ah ah Oddly enough, um the day before we went to a pizza place that was in the middle of nowhere, we just had, we dropped one of his friends off at a hotel.
00:08:05
Denis Tyrell
We stopped at this pizza and he's like, okay, let's go in. It's all you can eat pizza for $13.00.
00:08:13
Denis Tyrell
and it comes with like a salad or whatever, whatever side you want. This might've been the best pizza I've had in 15 years. Wood fired pizza. Like we wanted to go back there the next day.
00:08:25
Bald Man
Go back to the all you could eat.
00:08:27
Denis Tyrell
It was, the boys were raving about it. It was so good, but anyway, yeah.
00:08:32
Bald Man
Oh, that's funny.
00:08:34
Denis Tyrell
And then we saw the bean, which is the the big thing in Chicago. the
00:08:38
Bald Man
Yeah, you got to see the bean. Did you give it a little?
00:08:39
Denis Tyrell
all the bean. and
00:08:46
Denis Tyrell
of course I had it banged on.
00:08:47
Denis Tyrell
I'm like, how thick is this thing?
00:08:51
Denis Tyrell
It's shinier than I expected. There's no seams. That's a very interesting feat of engineering, of metalworking engineering.
00:09:01
Bald Man
I wonder how often they polish it.
00:09:03
Denis Tyrell
That's exactly what I said. Because you can take your picture in it. Like, it's mirrored.
00:09:08
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, I don't know. Like, you can see water spots on it, but it is winter, and it still was pretty polished.
00:09:10
Bald Man
Interesting. Yeah.
00:09:15
Bald Man
Yeah. Nice. Well, man, that's awesome. I, that was super cool to see, um, see you getting hang with the boys. So Logan was in the Navy, right?
Parker's Future and Chicago Driving
00:09:25
Denis Tyrell
No. No. um Their stepbrother.
00:09:30
Denis Tyrell
Kim's son, Cameron, is currently you still in the Navy now.
00:09:32
Bald Man
Okay. Got it. Okay.
00:09:36
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, he's...
00:09:36
Bald Man
Well, that's really cool, man.
00:09:37
Bald Man
I, uh, just to be able to see you enjoying time with the boys, see celebrating Parker. That's a huge achievement. So kudos to Parker.
00:09:46
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, it was good. And the the next the the Navy exchange there, very cool. it's like a It's like a target. And everything is like no no tax.
00:09:57
Denis Tyrell
No sales tax. um And then there's a commissary beside it where you, well, that when you have to show IDs. We had to go in with Parker, but it's basically a grocery store. Really cool. So he'll have lots of options living on the base.
00:10:11
Bald Man
So does he know what the next move is? What's what's the next steps for him?
00:10:16
Denis Tyrell
He will be, he will stay in, heat there's a base right beside it, like not the training base, but there's, I guess it's still a training base, but there's a base right beside it, which is like an A school.
00:10:27
Denis Tyrell
So he's in, um ah he's going in for electronic technician. So he will be there for at least another six months.
00:10:38
Denis Tyrell
And then he has a C school, which we don't know where it is yet. And then he'll get put in the fleet at some point in over a year from now.
00:10:49
Denis Tyrell
So it'll be at least mid to late next year before he's in the fleet.
00:10:54
Denis Tyrell
And we have no idea where. So we'll see.
00:10:58
Denis Tyrell
but But he's um he's not an airman. He's not he's not aviation. So probably won't. I'd say probably. I don't know if it'll be an aircraft carrier. It could be a destroyer. could be a base.
00:11:14
Denis Tyrell
I don't know. We don't know where.
00:11:18
Bald Man
Well, super cool, man.
00:11:21
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, it was good. to And it's good to see how we got some, he got professional pictures taken. So we got some of those. So, yeah, it was very proud proud weekend to see your kid graduate from something like that.
00:11:35
Denis Tyrell
So all the parents out there that have gone through this in different branches, I understand. why i know i saw it with Cameron because I was at Cameron's um graduation. A little different when it's your own son kind of thing. But yeah, it's cool event.
00:11:54
Denis Tyrell
The one thing I did realize when I was in Chicago, Chicago drivers are terrible.
00:12:01
Denis Tyrell
and I don't know what it is about Chicago drivers and tailgating. Like I'm in the middle lane. Several times this happened. I'm in the middle lane. Someone comes up and sits on my, like I'm talking, like he could have been hitched to my car. He was so close to me. um And there's a left lane beside me. I don't know what this guy was doing. And it's happened. It happened many times. Like the boys were commenting that,
00:12:28
Denis Tyrell
they couldn't believe how many people were tailgating. was very strange.
00:12:32
Bald Man
Yeah, i ah listen, i don't have any sympathy. Right now, we're in the middle of snowbird season down here. and so I'm convinced we get the worst drivers from every state.
00:12:44
Bald Man
um We went to the grocery store today, and it was jam-packed. And it's like Illinois, Idaho, Michigan. like You got plates from all over the country, all the northern states. And you know most of the people are in their Yeah.
00:13:00
Bald Man
That adds to it. um
00:13:03
Bald Man
It's horrible. So right right right now, we're dealing with the worst drivers ever. And it's being down here in Southwest Florida, snowbird season, wintertime, traffic ramps up, everything, just all the stores get busier.
00:13:20
Bald Man
There's traffic that seems like all the time. versus during the summertime, it's pretty dead here traffic wise.
Brent's Week and Knife Making Insights
00:13:28
Bald Man
So yeah, we're in the middle of that.
00:13:30
Bald Man
We were just getting frustrated. My wife and I were out today just getting so frustrated at drivers.
00:13:37
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, my ex-wife's parents go down to Florida every year, and then my mom used to go down to Florida every year. and She doesn't anymore.
00:13:46
Denis Tyrell
So I know a lot of Canadians do it. And yeah, I can verify all all three of those.
00:13:53
Denis Tyrell
Four of those are terrible drivers. They're adding to the problem.
00:13:59
Denis Tyrell
So how you been?
00:14:02
Bald Man
Man, I've been doing good. been ah I've been sick this last week. I got like a sinus cold, a little sinus infection. So, and just, you know, when you get sick, especially when it's head cold stuff, you just move slower and takes you a while to wrap your head around things. So, I've just been trying to stay busy while not overdoing it. And, um,
00:14:30
Bald Man
You know, it's just, yeah, trying to get through all that. But I'm on the tail end of it, feeling a little better and, um you know, lot less green stuff coming out. That's good.
00:14:42
Bald Man
So I've been doing it.
00:14:43
Denis Tyrell
You want the green stuff to go in your wallet, not coming out of your face.
00:14:47
Bald Man
Oh, man. Oh, it's ridiculous. um I don't know. if i don't know. Maybe listeners can chime in on this. and But I am a huge fan of the neti pot and I've been neti potting it up. So I'm all about that thing.
00:15:02
Denis Tyrell
Every time I see one of those, um I can't do it. I'm like, just the, just the thought of it is, i don't know something about sending all that water up my nose.
00:15:05
Bald Man
Oh, they're so great.
00:15:14
Bald Man
It's such a good feeling. My wife makes fun of me for it.
00:15:18
Bald Man
Liz makes fun of me for it all the time. and And the kids make fun of me. And I'm like, I don't care what anybody says. It's great.
00:15:25
Denis Tyrell
i used to do the natural variety when I went scuba diving. Cause you'd always get some seawater up your nose and I can tolerate that, but doing it on purpose,
00:15:36
Bald Man
Yeah, so between Neti Pot and had to go get the good Sudafed to dry me up, the you know
00:15:47
Denis Tyrell
The stuff behind the counter that the methods use.
00:15:47
Bald Man
behind-the-counter stuff. Yeah, that therere that they make you pull out your ID and they make you sign it over and you can only get so much every 30 days, which crazy.
00:15:59
Bald Man
Yeah. crazy but yeah
00:16:02
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. Well, you get, you get a lot done in the shop. You powering through.
00:16:07
Bald Man
Yeah, I've been powering through. I've been doing so this week. I've been working on a few knives. While I was not doing so hot and I knew I wasn't gonna be able to crank out a bunch of stuff, I decided to tackle a Damascus. I got some Baker Forge steel and did a thick truss in that. So, you know, that's a lot of heads down just cleaning up hand sanding and heat treat, you know, doing all the detail work. So not, not cranking out, trying to run around like crazy. So yeah, that was good.
00:16:47
Bald Man
Got that knife pretty much finished up just a few little things left to do to it. But man, it turned out, I'm really happy with the way it turned out. You know, etching is a thing. Go ahead.
00:17:00
Denis Tyrell
I was to say, I've been seeing a lot of like higher end knives coming out of your shop, like a lot of Damascus, a lot of... ah lot I look at them and go, oh, brent Brent's doing a lot more hand sanding than he normally does.
00:17:13
Bald Man
Oh yeah. lot more hand sanding. um Yeah. I've been, ah you know, taking now that I have more time to do it with it being all that I'm doing it frees, you know, it gives me the, the opportunity to,
00:17:28
Bald Man
to do that, to spend a little more time, you know, doing, doing the things that take more time, right. Doing more Damascus stuff where, you know, part of, part of doing the Damascus, everybody knows you got a hand sand, you got a polish, you know, you need to get a good finish on the steel before you etch.
00:17:48
Bald Man
Otherwise it's going to be garbage. So, and then the etching, you know ah you know, we've we've talked about this. You know, you walked me through doing some etching.
00:18:00
Bald Man
It's so funny. I was just talking to somebody this week because they were asking about it. And I said, you know, they were asking me about etching and doing Damascus.
00:18:11
Bald Man
I said, the funny thing is, As soon as you think you've figured out how long you need to soak something for, what you know what grit you stop hand sanding, what the polish looks like, the next knife, it etches totally different, even if you're using the same steel.
00:18:28
Denis Tyrell
Totally does. it it
00:18:30
Denis Tyrell
You think you have the magic formula figured out and then the next one just punches you in the gut.
00:18:36
Bald Man
Yeah, so this one, I was fully prepared for that. So i think I... I etched and re-sanded and polished like five or six times before I got something I was happy with.
00:18:51
Bald Man
And I fully expected to do that. So again, I didn't have other knives lined up that I was, you know, chomping at the bit to get to. So I spent a whole day sanding, but better part of a day, sanding, etching, re-sanding, buffing, etching, um and yeah.
00:19:09
Denis Tyrell
We're using coffee? Like what's your process? the ge Give everyone the 10,000 foot on your process here.
00:19:15
Bald Man
Um, yeah, so I will use, uh, some Gator piss on there. That's the normal Gator piss. Um, do a quick etch. Actually, I'll do a little bit of a prolonged etch to pull the pattern out, get, get those contrasts, get a little depth in there. And then after I get done doing that, I'll hand sand it back down, buff it.
00:19:36
Bald Man
And then I go into coffee. Uh, actually that's, uh,
00:19:39
Denis Tyrell
can't sand are you saying just sanding the oxides off is that what mean
00:19:44
Bald Man
Yeah, so I'm sanding the oxides off, getting all that. So it's cleaned up um at about 2000 grit, 2500. And then hit it on the buffing wheel, clean it up.
00:19:56
Bald Man
And then I go into ferric or gator piss, whatever your normal etching is, just for a quick dip, just to pull out some of that black. Neutralize that, just clean it with some soapy water, dry it off with the compressed air.
00:20:12
Bald Man
And then I go into coffee and I, you know, again, every time it's a little different. um So I usually start with like five minute soaks and then work my way up and do that. Neutralize, soapy water, air dry, all that.
00:20:28
Bald Man
But again, took me a handful of times until.
00:20:32
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. The last time, the last two or three times I've coffeed something, I've had to do it at least three times, and which I don't mind having to do coffee again.
00:20:44
Denis Tyrell
It's screwing up the etches is a pain. Like if you get whatever, you don't get all the soap off or you do something stupid that because that you have to sand clean. That's a pain in the ass.
00:20:55
Denis Tyrell
But at least if for coffee, you just got to rebuff it and
00:20:58
Bald Man
Yeah. Yeah, the first time i left it in the edge a little too long, And it and i I think I didn't have the steel clean as well. So when it etched, it had some, like, they look almost like sand marks or gouges where it'll etch deeper in one spot on the the mono core, right?
00:21:21
Bald Man
um So I did have to do a little bit more hand sanding to get that all even and cleaned up. but Yeah, it's... ah I don't know. I don't do a lot of it, but it is a process and it's, ah it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one that' struck that's
00:21:31
Denis Tyrell
It's a process.
00:21:37
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, I had the same discussion with Marekko when I was there. Like, even him, same thing. It's like, as soon as you think you got it, it's just going to, you know, give you a swerve every single time.
00:21:52
Denis Tyrell
Or or it'll it'll go it'll go well twice, then the next one will be totally different, and you follow the exact same steps.
00:22:00
Bald Man
Yep. So I'm really happy with the way the edge turned out and I used, uh, the handle i did on it was a little, I've never used before and I'm really stoked on it. It was a jigged Ram's horn, or the scales.
00:22:14
Denis Tyrell
Oh, interesting.
00:22:15
Bald Man
Um, and man, and so like, you know, jigged antler, so antlers white with Brown on the top. Right. Um, The ram's horn is black with the brown on the top.
00:22:28
Bald Man
So it's it's all really dark.
00:22:30
Denis Tyrell
Is it dyed or is it just that?
00:22:32
Bald Man
I don't think it's dyed.
00:22:38
Denis Tyrell
It's black with brown on the top?
00:22:43
Denis Tyrell
Interesting.
00:22:44
Denis Tyrell
because a ram's horn is not um it's a horn not an antler right so it's uh it yeah it's a bit because they're ha uh aren't those hollow
00:22:44
Bald Man
Let me see. Right.
00:22:56
Bald Man
but So I got these as a set of scales.
00:22:59
Denis Tyrell
okay so maybe they were filled i've never actually used ram's horn so um my you can tell my from my comments, i don't really know what I'm talking about.
00:23:13
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, I've never used it. I've used Stag and I've used, well, the MuskOx, which I'm a huge fan of, but never RAM.
00:23:22
Bald Man
Yeah, the musk ox looks really nice. Yeah, I'm pretty sure this was Ramshorn because I had to look it up to see what it was because I couldn't remember it had been so long ago that I bought it.
00:23:34
Denis Tyrell
Was it expensive?
00:23:41
Denis Tyrell
ah contoured a lot? did you like Did you take any of the color off when you ground it?
00:23:47
Bald Man
Uh, no. So it's the, on the thicket tross and the thicker clippers, I usually do those kind of like, uh, 40 degrees, 35 degrees on the sides and then hand sand them. So they've got really very little contouring.
00:24:02
Bald Man
Um, so the flats are flats.
00:24:04
Bald Man
I just sent you a picture of it. Um, but yeah, really happy with the way that knife turned out. Um,
00:24:11
Denis Tyrell
Oh, I see. I see. Yeah, yeah, that's cool. Yeah, i saw um i I saw the blade before. I just didn't pay attention to the handle, I guess.
00:24:19
Denis Tyrell
But yeah, it looks really good. ah And this is
Knife Projects and New Tools
00:24:23
Denis Tyrell
a great time. if ah If you guys are looking for some premium steel, ah go see our friends Baker Forge and Tool. They've got some amazing steels over there now, especially with the core lines that you can get that will stay in stock. And they are unbelievably priced. um
00:24:43
Denis Tyrell
Just I couldn't believe how cheap they were. I was i was talking with a... um a student of mine who was thinking about selling some damascus and then i you know he wanted some examples and i sent him over there and he's like i can't even compete with this i know but you just can't uh
00:25:00
Bald Man
Yeah, some of those core steels, they're like $70 for a billet.
00:25:03
Denis Tyrell
yeah yeah i saw one uh it was um
00:25:08
Denis Tyrell
eight or 10 inch, I don't remember, but a eighth inch thick and it was $72. And you can use the discount code triple T 10 and get 10% off that. So you're now you're close to 60 bucks ah for a piece of steel. That's insane for the quality of steel coming out of the Baker boys.
00:25:28
Denis Tyrell
So go check those out.
00:25:31
Denis Tyrell
Um, They just ran an auction yesterday, which is now closed. They seem to be doing those a little more often these days, so go check those out as well. ah Use the app for early access to their special drops.
00:25:45
Denis Tyrell
And while you're there, get some Gator Piss and all the flavors, some Grime Reaper to clean up your blades, and then some Gator Skin to lock in that beautiful look, keep it nice and clean, and keep it from ah from rusting. So go check all that stuff out at Baker Forge and Tool.
00:26:06
Denis Tyrell
And like I said, use the discount code TTT10. um Yeah, I'm anxious to... Well, I still probably got another, I'm a week or two out of etching that dagger that I'm working on.
00:26:23
Denis Tyrell
and I'm in fitting hell right now, but it's not it.
00:26:28
Bald Man
getting all that Getting all the guards and the the end caps, all that stuff fit up.
00:26:32
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, I mean, you know, i'm I'm making my own life hell by selecting certain things that I'm doing to them. um I spent the whole day, I got my new laser.
00:26:44
Denis Tyrell
Actually, it came in like the day before I left. and so i i haven't even gone in the shop today except to go down and get this guard um because i needed it uh to uh to play with um but yeah i've just been playing with this new laser um which is i was confused at first because this was it's a you i haven't even haven't even tried the uv part of it i i'll do a video on that at some point but the the lens
00:27:15
Denis Tyrell
um unscrews and you can screw in the the the lens for steel, which is which is really cool.
00:27:24
Denis Tyrell
And the reason it's a 60 slash 100 is because, and maybe maybe other lasers do this, but i none of the lasers that I have, um the Mopa laser head is removable and it's a separate box.
00:27:42
Denis Tyrell
so So you can order it with the 100 or you can upgrade from the 60 to the 100 just by replacing the box.
00:27:49
Denis Tyrell
But the like the head that goes up and down the lenses, all that stuff, that's all in in a different box.
00:27:57
Denis Tyrell
So it's it's a really cool um system so far.
00:28:02
Denis Tyrell
And when I'm.
00:28:03
Bald Man
Yeah, I'm excited to see what you get done with that, because that laser sounds like it has a lot of uses.
00:28:10
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And it'll be, you can, I know you, the folks at home can't see this. I didn't do this with the laser, but this is like, this is what you can do with the UV laser. I'm showing the, the glass.
00:28:22
Denis Tyrell
This is a glass cube rectangle or whatever. Um, which is like, has my Patty, it's my Patty service award, but it's one of those etched in, in glass. And you can do that with these lasers.
00:28:35
Denis Tyrell
So I'm probably going to do a handle with something etched inside of the handle.
00:28:43
Denis Tyrell
Like a shark inside of the handle the handle scales.
00:28:44
Bald Man
That would be, I wonder if you could, yeah, because you could definitely do acrylic. do some ultim, something like that. I wonder if you could do anything with some of the more translucent G10s, the Jade G10.
00:29:02
Denis Tyrell
I don't think it would do that because...
00:29:03
Bald Man
I wonder if you'd be able to do any that.
00:29:05
Denis Tyrell
it's not clear enough for the laser. Like it's basically got to be clear for the laser to get through. I think you'd probably see, e maybe you wouldn't, I don't know. Um, I would imagine it's gotta be pretty clear.
00:29:17
Denis Tyrell
Uh, I think, um, acrylic will work and that's what I have in the shop.
00:29:21
Denis Tyrell
I have clear acrylic and of course glass works. Um, so, uh, yeah,
00:29:27
Bald Man
Or even if you did your own resin pours.
00:29:30
Denis Tyrell
that's too much work. I'm not doing that.
00:29:34
Bald Man
I just i wonder if you'd be able to etch into those.
00:29:36
Denis Tyrell
um Yeah, it it all depends how how clear it is. Because basically that's acrylic, right?
00:29:42
Denis Tyrell
You're just clear resin.
00:29:46
Denis Tyrell
But what what I'm using it for is...
00:29:49
Denis Tyrell
um One of the issues on the la on the feather buoy that I did was that the the the channels for the wire inlay, which I did with the pneumatic engraver by hand, um I'm still not a pro at that. So if you really eagle eye it, you can see like little, you know, shuddering parts of the line. i mean, you hold it a foot away, it looks beautiful, but...
00:30:18
Denis Tyrell
you know, master smiths are going to be looking at this. Um, so, uh, for the dagger, I'm going to be lasering in the channels for the golden light.
00:30:29
Denis Tyrell
So they will be perfectly straight.
00:30:31
Denis Tyrell
And, uh, I know again, folks at home can't see this, but these little channels in the, uh, in the pommel and stuff like, which I did on the lathe, but, um, that's what I want to do on the guard.
00:30:45
Denis Tyrell
So that's why I need this laser. And I might even do some more fancy designs, like I'm going to do a little, you guys will see it, some little fancy inlays that then I can just press the gold into.
00:30:58
Bald Man
Yeah, i'm I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
00:31:01
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. And I decided i was going to, since it's got a spiral fluted motif on the handle, this is when I was saying I was making my life hell, I decided I was going to spiral flute the back of the pommel.
00:31:18
Denis Tyrell
um which I think came out really cool.
00:31:20
Bald Man
Oh, my goodness.
00:31:23
Bald Man
That did come out cool.
00:31:24
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. And when this is like black, black, um I think that'll look awesome. Plus it'll have, you know, the gold around and stuff. So lots of little fancy things on this one.
00:31:33
Bald Man
Yeah. Super cool, man. Yeah, you're going all out with this dagger. I mean, I know you have you have a vision for it and you have plans. um So, yeah, you're you're pushing yourself. And it's cool to see you know see that you're you're pushing that beyond what's just easy and convenient.
00:31:57
Denis Tyrell
Well, and just for things like this this pommel, which I turned on the lathe, I figured I had to do something to the back of this pommel because just turning it on the lathe is, I mean, it's pretty easy. Like most anybody can do that, you know, if assume you have a lathe. um So I had to do, I felt like I had to do something to spiff it up, something to make it challenging, which is why I did the fluting in it.
00:32:24
Bald Man
Yeah, I mean i think right when i when you and I are both saying easy, there are skills that you've done that you know how to repeat.
00:32:35
Bald Man
And so I think it's cool to see you doing a skill, learning a new skill, pushing yourself to do something you haven't done before um to to level yourself for that knife up is, you know, pushing yourself to so learn a new skill or learn a new trick, right?
00:32:54
Denis Tyrell
Right. and And really that's what these MasterSmith knives are all about. In fact, this ah pommel that I'm showing Brent right now is actually number two of three.
00:33:06
Denis Tyrell
This is the test one. um i've i had I had to do three of these for this knife because i just couldn't get the size right on the first two. So.
00:33:17
Denis Tyrell
But i'm I'm happy with how it's going so far. I got a couple of weeks before, well, I guess a month, four weeks before um Blade, Texas.
00:33:29
Bald Man
Yeah, buddy, Blade, Texas.
00:33:31
Denis Tyrell
That's right. And I heard the other day that Mr. Brent Smith will be going to Blade, Texas.
Blade Show Texas Preview
00:33:38
Bald Man
That is right, Dennis. I will be at Blade, Texas. I will have a table, and I am super excited. I'm going to have a table at Blade, Texas, so it's going be a good time.
00:33:48
Denis Tyrell
um I'm kind of upset with you that you weren't. So Brent and i bret told me that he was thinking about going like a week and a half ago. and he he would go only if he could get a table.
00:34:00
Denis Tyrell
But he told me not to tell Jared.
00:34:02
Denis Tyrell
And I thought, oh, that's going to be really fun. I'll get to like take Jared in and then take him to Brent's table and then he'll be all surprised. And then Brent went and told him the other day.
00:34:13
Bald Man
Well, that was the plan. And it would have been a great plan. The only thing is, so as soon as I got the email that they had a table available, they had a cancellation, so they had a table available, I was, you know, jumped right on it, got the table, locked it down.
00:34:28
Bald Man
um And then i texted you shortly after that um to let you know and, you know And then the reality set was, I'm not going to able to keep this a secret because I'm going to post to social media and customers, let them know that I'm going to Texas, that I'm going to be there.
00:34:47
Denis Tyrell
Of course, of course.
00:34:52
Bald Man
um So yeah, that quickly I was like, well, it defeats the purpose of holding out to tell Jared. So if I'm going to have to tell him eventually anyway, even though, man, it would have been great to just show up and you know, walk up and tap them, tap them on the back and give them a hard time.
00:35:12
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. And you're, you're like right near the front, right? You're like row three.
00:35:17
Bald Man
yes, I'm in row three. Uh, when you, I guess when you walk in, I've never been to Texas. So just looking at the floor pan, when you walk in and you go to the right, um, all the way to the end, um, you know, one table off of the end, uh, table three V.
00:35:34
Denis Tyrell
Three V yeah. Uh, Like the you go in the doors in Texas, there's half the tables. Like you're facing the tables. Half the tables are on the left. Half the tables are on the right. Like it's like the small it's like the size of the – it's a little bigger than the small room at – actually quite a bit bigger than the small room in Atlanta.
00:35:53
Denis Tyrell
itlin Probably twice that size.
00:35:54
Bald Man
Yeah, i I'm excited for Texas. I've never been. um i' wanted to go. i almost went last year just as a spectator just to go, and it didn't work out.
00:36:06
Bald Man
So I'm really excited to go. Everybody I talk to that's been, most everybody says it's their favorite show, you know, that does
00:36:16
Denis Tyrell
I really like it. It's it's a little lower lower key than Atlanta, um which is good and bad. um it's I love the venue. I love Fort Worth. The weather is great there in March.
00:36:32
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, it's, it's to I don't know, something about Texas is a cool place to have a knife show, is my opinion.
00:36:37
Bald Man
Yeah, it'll be cool to go I'm excited, man, because I grew up about an hour away from Fort Worth and I haven't been back and close to 30 years, if not 30 years.
00:36:49
Bald Man
So it'll I was a teenager last time I was there. so and So it'll be kind of cool. I'll probably go and swing by and see the old house and neighborhood. and Yeah.
00:37:01
Denis Tyrell
The only thing that confuses me, i don't understand why they do that show Friday, Saturday. Same with same with um Blade West. I don't understand why they do those shows Friday, Saturday instead of Saturday, Sunday.
00:37:16
Denis Tyrell
um I mean, it's
00:37:16
Bald Man
Yeah, that is a little weird, but I'm with you. because most Because I do a lot of gun shows, right? And the gun shows are always Saturday, Sunday. Because that's when people are off of work.
00:37:26
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, that's a weekend. um
00:37:28
Denis Tyrell
It just makes sense. I don't, I mean, I guess they figure like high-end collectors are going to show up anyway. um i I don't know.
00:37:36
Bald Man
Yeah. Yeah. mean, even even when when you talk about Atlanta, Sunday is a half a day.
00:37:44
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. but Most people are like, yeah.
00:37:46
Bald Man
I guess they do it so people can travel and, you know, get home sooner. i don't know.
00:37:52
Bald Man
It is weird. I agree with you. Should be all day Saturday, all day Sunday.
00:37:58
Denis Tyrell
uh we're gonna see a lot of our sponsors there in addition to baker forge uh they won't have a table but uh they will be uh koi will be roaming around uh frank anita from two bastards texas smithian supplies will be there so if you see frank say hello um i don't think he's gonna have a table there but he'll certainly can get you set up with a hammer and uh answer any questions you got about orders and things like that so uh If you're looking for a hammer, go check out Two Bastards because ain't it grand to have a fat peen in your hand. The straight, the curvy, the diagonal, you name it, they got it. So go check them out.
00:38:41
Bald Man
Frank's got all the peens.
00:38:42
Denis Tyrell
All the peens. um I still haven't heard if Matt from Griptech is going, but let's talk about those guys. um So they are Griptech official on IG or griptech.com, makers of the amazing GripX product.
00:39:04
Denis Tyrell
Brent, I know you use it. I've used it. Jared uses it. All the cool people are using it. um Super grippy. Comes in amazing, cool colors.
00:39:14
Denis Tyrell
And this week, they their color of the week is the Graphite Diamond Edition. I haven't seen this one, but it sounds cool. Um, I actually, I want I want to get some of the, I don't, I don't know if the graphite diamond edition is one of their limitless ones or if that's just a color, but yeah.
00:39:37
Bald Man
Yeah, I'm not sure. I am looking, and Matt does have a table at Blade, Texas.
00:39:42
Denis Tyrell
Oh, awesome. Awesome. Good, good, good. So we'll ah we'll see him there. So, yeah, stop by the table and bug him and see if he can use the discount code TTT10 at the show. i think he think you' let people use it at Atlanta. So hit him up and, yeah, get yourself some GripX. It's cool stuff.
00:40:08
Bald Man
Yeah, I love using Grip-X. It pairs really well with like carbon fibers.
00:40:13
Denis Tyrell
Yes, that's what I use it.
00:40:14
Bald Man
like Yeah, I really like pairing it with carbon fiber. It just sets it off even more.
00:40:21
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, i I love doing carbon fiber, like um segmented scales on like a like ah on an angle, whatever, and putting like the carbon fiber up front so you get a little you know little rigidity on your fingers for like chef knives and stuff like that. And then you got the grippiness in the back. Ooh, hello. um In the back of the knife to make it easy to hold on to.
00:40:51
Denis Tyrell
So yeah. What other cool, any cool things you're gonna buy are you're going to look forward to in Texas?
00:40:58
Bald Man
Man, I'm just, I'm looking forward to experiencing Blade Show Texas, hanging out, meeting some, you know, meeting some new people. um I'm sure there's going to be a crew of people that,
00:41:11
Bald Man
don't go to Atlanta, they're going to be in Texas. So I'm excited to, you know, meet some of those guys that maybe some customers and other knife makers that I just have never met, but we talk online and, and that's going to be fun. Just a different experience.
00:41:29
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, I think there is a fair amount of of folks that go only to the Texas one because that one's been around for a while.
00:41:34
Bald Man
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Texas has been around for a while. it was, wasn't it like a custom knife show for a while?
00:41:43
Denis Tyrell
apple i don't I know there's ah there's another custom knife show. It's either, I don't know two weeks before. No, it's two weeks after, which is the Texas Custom Select Knife Show, which is supposed to be a really popular one too.
00:41:56
Denis Tyrell
um But I think the Blade one's been there for a long time. I don't know if it was something else.
00:42:00
Bald Man
Yeah. um I'm really looking forward to it. Everybody I talk to, like you said earlier, it seems like it's a way more tight and intimate and just more of a relaxing, you know, it's Blade Atlanta. There's very little relaxing about it.
00:42:15
Bald Man
whether Whether you're an exhibitor or whether you're going as um as somebody to a spectator, some a buyer, it is so busy and so overwhelming and so much to do that there's not much.
00:42:30
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, that is
00:42:32
Bald Man
It's fun, but it's not relaxing.
00:42:34
Denis Tyrell
yeah that is like the sleep deprivation tour for me. um Atlanta.
00:42:39
Denis Tyrell
I mean, Fort Worth will be too, but ah not quite as bad. Well, I don't have a table, so you know i'm I'm not going to show up until 10 or 11 every day, so it doesn't matter.
00:42:49
Denis Tyrell
But um yeah, getting up early every morning and having a table in Atlanta after partying in the pit the night before is kind of rough.
00:42:59
Bald Man
Yeah. Yeah. So Texas is going to be good. I'm excited. I'm just excited to experience all of tech, what a Texas blade show has.
00:43:07
Denis Tyrell
ah Did you get your flight already?
00:43:10
Bald Man
I did. So I'm going to be driving actually.
00:43:12
Denis Tyrell
Oh, you are a sick puppy.
00:43:13
Bald Man
um so i was looking at flights, debating on it and, um, uh, ultimately So it's about a 20 hour drive for me, 18, 20 hours, you know, 20 hours by the time stops and all that.
00:43:29
Bald Man
So solid two days of driving. um But going to drive because I believe my wife is going to fly up and we're going to take like a, you know, take three or four days, maybe five days and drive back and hit up some spots.
00:43:48
Denis Tyrell
Is she going to be there for the show?
00:43:50
Bald Man
She'll probably, she's either going to fly up on Saturday or Sunday. So if,
00:43:57
Denis Tyrell
Tell her to fly in Saturday and join us for dinner ah Saturday night.
00:44:02
Bald Man
yeah, it'll, it'll depend on if, if flights are stupid expensive one day versus the other, that's what it'll depend on.
00:44:08
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, that's true. Yeah, that's true.
00:44:10
Bald Man
Cause sometimes they, they like to do that.
00:44:13
Denis Tyrell
Well, we hope to see you, Liz, at at the show. It's been a couple of years since Maker Camp.
00:44:23
Bald Man
Yeah, yeah, a couple years.
00:44:24
Bald Man
We had a good time at Maker Camp.
00:44:25
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. Yeah, it'll be good to see you.
00:44:27
Bald Man
That was fun. Yeah, I know she's excited to be able to come out there, and, you know, she's never been to a Blade show. um just So I think part of her wants to come um to be able to just see what it's about. And being that it's in, you know, Atlanta, part of the deal, she's wanted to come to Atlanta a few times, and every time I talk to her about it I'm like, listen, you can come. I'd love to have you. You are going to be bored and there's nothing like immediately around. so you're going have to drive wherever you go.
00:45:01
Bald Man
But it looks like Fort Worth. You know, it's pretty central and downtown where you could probably walk around and hit some shops and some restaurants.
00:45:09
Denis Tyrell
Oh, totally.
00:45:11
Denis Tyrell
The whole downtown area is walking distance, like two blocks away.
00:45:15
Bald Man
Yeah, so I think she would enjoy that more Atlanta. I'm like, you will not enjoy Atlanta because you'll be in the car driving around.
00:45:22
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. Yeah. There's more tables and exhibits, but I know she's not really into, like, she's not goingnna walk around?
00:45:29
Bald Man
No. She wants to go so she can go shop and you know find some stuff to do on her own, not to go to Blade Show.
00:45:37
Denis Tyrell
Right. Yeah, my wife's same way.
00:45:39
Bald Man
So I think text Texas is the move.
00:45:41
Denis Tyrell
Yes, absolutely. that That is the move. And it'll be a little more relaxing.
00:45:46
Denis Tyrell
Won't be as crazy. Yeah. So you're not bringing any of the boys. Dave's not going. None of those guys are going.
00:45:53
Bald Man
No. No, Dave and John, will I'll give them the weekend off. and
00:46:01
Denis Tyrell
How are you going to sell? to be so busy. You're gonna have Jared back there pulling people in.
00:46:05
Bald Man
Oh, yeah. I already got Jared's name is on one of the passes, so I told him, I don't care if you have tickets already. You're you're the backup.
00:46:15
Denis Tyrell
Yes, definitely.
00:46:17
Bald Man
So, yeah, it'll be good.
00:46:19
Denis Tyrell
Cool, cool. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I just got to get some some projects done before I get there. But I got a month. I'm feeling kind of comfortable. Talk to me.
00:46:29
Denis Tyrell
Talk to me in two weeks.
00:46:30
Denis Tyrell
I'll let you know.
00:46:32
Bald Man
Reality started setting in today where I was thinking about all this stuff. like, oh, yeah, ah it's no big deal. It's a table. i do gun shows, so I know the setup. It's like all the stuff I i can fit my car.
00:46:44
Bald Man
I know what it is. i do those a lot. And then it dawned on me and I'm like, wait, I got to order a bunch of stickers. I got to do all this stuff, you know, all the little things that you got to plan for. so I'm like, oh, I need to do that. And I should probably order some more, you know, this and that. And I need to, oh, what am I going to make? Should I make something special just for Bladeshow? And yeah, all those little things.
00:47:09
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, I just ordered shirts and hats since I tend to wear that my the shirt. The shirts I wear to the show, I wear in the in the shop and they get all disgusting. So I need a new set for the show.
Popular Knife Models and Future Plans
00:47:25
Denis Tyrell
um I wonder if actually I know our other friends at Ameribraid will not be at the show, unfortunately. but, uh, they'll be there in spirit. If you guys need a grinder, go get yourself an Ameribraid, a fastback two by 72.
00:47:41
Denis Tyrell
Mr. Jared finally has his set up. So, uh, he'll be, uh, ready to he might've, he might've done it.
00:47:48
Denis Tyrell
Well, no, actually he's been in, uh, um, Washington. So, uh, he probably hasn't done anything else on it, but, uh,
00:47:56
Bald Man
Yeah, every time I talk to him, he won't shut up about how good that grinder is.
00:47:59
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. Yeah. Oh, believe me.
00:48:01
Bald Man
he's He's over the moon.
00:48:01
Denis Tyrell
I heard it nonstop for the last four months about when his was coming. so yeah. If you guys need a grinder, go check out the Fastback. Use the discount code TTT10 for 10% off accessories or just TTT for discounts on machines, which is awesome.
00:48:22
Denis Tyrell
Also, while you're there, check out the HyperDisk. the it's a It's a buffer. It's a disc grinder. it It has all kinds of other tools you can use with it. So go check them out. And, yeah, let them know you heard it on the Triple T podcast.
00:48:40
Denis Tyrell
Um, we got a couple more to do. We'll save those. Um, Oh, um I wanted to ask you actually, how many, how many main, I think I asked you this last time, but I'm losing track. So your main seller is still the, would you say is still thicker clipper or what what, what's the main one you sell the most?
00:49:02
Bald Man
Yeah, the the thicker clipper between the drop point and the Tanto, those are the flagship. those Those are the main sellers.
00:49:11
Bald Man
Followed by, you know, i recently, it's hard to do because I released just within the last six months or so, um i released the Forager and I released the Basque and the Basque Compact.
00:49:26
Bald Man
And those have been selling really well. Yeah. both the full size BASC and the BASC compact. And then the foragers are a little bit back there. So um it's really hard.
00:49:38
Bald Man
I realize I have way too many models I need to scale back and really zero in. I think a month or two ago I did a tally and um if you count the different variants, like 14 different models, I'm
00:49:52
Denis Tyrell
Oh, wow. I thought it was half that.
00:49:55
Bald Man
Yeah. um Again, if you count um Thicker Clipper, the the Tanto, the Drop Point, and then the Albatross, Albatross Sheepsfoot, Thicatross, even though they're similar, there's still different grinds with them and all that.
00:50:13
Bald Man
So... um And then the Serpico, Serpico XL, XXL. There's a lot of lot of models. So, yeah, thicker clipper, thicketross, and the basque line.
00:50:26
Bald Man
um you know i tend to bundle those into the clipper line, the albatross line, and the basque line.
00:50:35
Bald Man
Those three lines are the the top three clippers.
00:50:38
Denis Tyrell
The BASC is one I'm not familiar with. What does that one look like?
00:50:41
Bald Man
Um, so ah it, it's named the bask, the basic ass survival knife, because to me, it was a design that I really wanted to do, but to me, it looks a lot like every other kind of drop point hunter, even though there's some differences to it. So I, I thought it'd be fun just to name it the basic ass survival knife. Cause that's what it reminded me of.
00:51:05
Denis Tyrell
Nice. Nice. What's your favorite one to make?
00:51:13
Bald Man
I've really been enjoying making the Basques lately. The Basque Compacts to be specific.
00:51:20
Denis Tyrell
Is it a different process?
00:51:21
Denis Tyrell
What what about it turns you on?
00:51:24
Bald Man
um Yeah, so the handle, you know, the handles have some contours to them. They're kind of a more traditional, cur like a belly to the handle.
00:51:34
Bald Man
um And so you're able to pull a little bit more pattern out of the handles and do a little You know you can kind of do the sculpting of the handle to add a little bit more just design or appearance to it versus the thicker clippers. are Actually, the clipper line and the albatross line, you know those I do, a the they're fairly flat scales um and then just chamfered edges. um
00:52:08
Bald Man
which goes with the design feature of those. They're very angular blades. And so I wanted them to have that angular look to the handle as well. So yeah, the Basques, maybe just cause I've been making the Albatross and the Clippers so long, being able to do something that has that, you know, that palm swell and, you know, give some of that.
00:52:33
Denis Tyrell
It's a little different. When are we going to see the the whatever model that's a folder?
00:52:39
Denis Tyrell
When are we going to see those?
00:52:43
Bald Man
It's going to be a minute. um I'm still debating on what I want to do with it. um I've been playing around in Fusion with do I want to take that thicker clipper and turn it in into a folder versus do I want to come up with something totally different?
00:53:04
Denis Tyrell
you think ah You think you're going to do a line are you going to do a frame on one side?
00:53:09
Bald Man
I think it'll be frame lock.
00:53:10
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, figured it'd be a frame.
00:53:11
Bald Man
I'm really leaning. I like, I like being that I like the thick knives um so much. I really, you know, something in me really wants to do a ah thick beefy frame lock, you know, a three sixteenths or quarter inch thick blade.
00:53:30
Bald Man
Just have a a tank of a knife.
00:53:34
Bald Man
Just, ah I really like them. So that's,
00:53:37
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, no, I could, I could totally see a, like a, whether it's the, the, um, the thicker clip something like that.
00:53:47
Denis Tyrell
Um, you know, with the, like the ridges on the top and the, it would, I've seen other knives like that.
00:53:53
Denis Tyrell
Uh, I could definitely see you doing one of those.
00:53:54
Bald Man
Yeah. yeah Yeah. So it'll probably be in that, in that vein. Yeah. Still got to play around with it some and figure that out.
00:54:04
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, I've actually never done a frame lock. I've done a ton of liner locks, but well a ton, a bunch. um Still never done a frame just because of the whole, like, all titanium on one side.
00:54:17
Denis Tyrell
But for what you want to do, that makes more sense, for sure.
00:54:21
Bald Man
Yeah. Yeah, I think that'll make more sense.
00:54:26
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, I mean, it's the same basic process, just a little milling out of the the side of the frame, so shouldn't be too bad.
00:54:35
Bald Man
Yeah. How about you? you doing any more folders or are you just so deep in and doing your MasterSmith stuff that you can't see?
00:54:44
Denis Tyrell
yeah like once i i'm going through phases once i get through um the dagger and i have one other buoy on my um on my bench that's been ground and i just have to do finish work on it which i'm hoping i get through that one for um for texas as well uh i don't know if i'll finish that one we'll see but um then i'll probably go back to uh folders The Copper Damascus folders are just, you know every time I make one, it sells in a day. So I figure I should probably make some more.
00:55:26
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. ah The last one i with the Muskox scales sold pretty quick.
00:55:33
Bald Man
Yeah, that one looked really nice. So when you you were going, you've been going on for a while about the muskox, you know, waiting to get that in and all that.
00:55:43
Bald Man
And when I finally saw it, totally made sense. Like you had that, you had I could tell you had that in your mind.
00:55:51
Bald Man
You knew what that was going to look like and it and it turned out great.
00:55:53
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. Yeah. And actually, um ah the guy, Levi McDonald is the guy got it from. He's like a way, way up in Canada.
00:56:05
Denis Tyrell
Like way up, like Arctic Circle, like as far, like way up there. Um, uh, but he sent me, not only did he send me the two blocks that I ordered, he sent me a bunch of off cuts and actually the, that knife was just off cuts.
00:56:22
Denis Tyrell
So the scales for that finger were off cuts.
00:56:23
Bald Man
Yeah. Oh, that's great. Yeah, because folders, you can get away with some small small pieces.
00:56:30
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, they were like, you know, just little eighth inch, one inch by four inch little pieces. So yeah, I made it work.
00:56:38
Denis Tyrell
so I still got the two big chunks that I can probably make four four or six folders out of.
00:56:46
Denis Tyrell
So they're pretty wide. So, yeah.
00:56:51
Denis Tyrell
But I got to get through this this this dagger first and get all that ivory and all that crap done. Yeah, I would...
00:57:01
Bald Man
You finally got the ivory, right?
00:57:03
Denis Tyrell
I got the ivory. I got it fluted already. It was a little smaller than what I wanted, but i made it work, and I think it's going to look really nice.
Material Challenges and Customer Requests
00:57:12
Denis Tyrell
But i um' I don't remember if I talked about it last week, but I i was doing the the spiral fluting on it, and I was planning for four spirals and four flutes.
00:57:27
Denis Tyrell
Like the the hollow between the whatever. and it just doesn't it It had too many flat spots.
00:57:32
Denis Tyrell
just wasn't looking right. So I had to like double the number of flutes and double the wire. Yeah, that's what cost me an extra 500 bucks in gold. Yeah, I talked about this last week. The price of gold is just stupid.
00:57:47
Denis Tyrell
But yeah, that's what you get when you put this kind of stuff into a knife. You know, cost a lot. Hopefully I get it out of the knife. We'll see.
00:57:57
Bald Man
Yeah, you will. You will.
00:57:59
Denis Tyrell
yeah But my my plan for Atlanta is to have a bunch of folders on the table, probably mostly Kumai folders, in addition to like fixed blades and stuff, but probably a bunch of Copper Damascus folders for for Atlanta.
00:58:17
Bald Man
Nice. You've been working on any other, any new patterns for your your billets?
00:58:25
Denis Tyrell
No. um Yeah, I'm kind of in. knife mode right now uh i do yeah i did a pattern ah for the knife that um i actually put it on instagram it it just didn't come out the way the pattern didn't come out the way i wanted but i actually cut that billet in half before i manipulated it so i have more steel in that pattern than i can do some more on and hopefully get it right this time which is the plan to do that and then have another knife based on that pattern for Atlanta.
00:59:03
Bald Man
Okay, cool. Mm-hmm.
00:59:03
Denis Tyrell
um Yeah, just, you know. I haven't done a lot of the the Damascus that like that has a lot of these S's s's in it, and which then you flip every other, and then you get kind of a sneaky pattern down the blade. I just haven't done enough of those to know the proper manipulation, even though i have Marekko's pattern guide staring me in the face, I just didn't come up and actually look at it.
00:59:32
Denis Tyrell
um You know, paid for that course. And then, you know, I probably should look at the pattern guides once in a while. on how to do it instead of trying to free ball it um but yeah um i need to uh to do that pattern ah that's a lot of what gabe fletcher does he does a lot of those s's um in the patterns and i was trying i was trying to replicate anything he does but um something a little different with little some pure nickel and things in it but
01:00:02
Bald Man
Cool. Yeah, no, I'm being like one of those, I'm being like a customer that's like, Hey, you know what you should make? You know what you should do when you have like a million other things going on? You're like, yeah, I'll get right on that.
01:00:14
Bald Man
You know what you should do? You should make, you should make a bowie. You should make a fillet knife.
01:00:19
Denis Tyrell
I had a request for a ring a copper Damascus ring the other day. I'm like, no, not doing it. Cause it's like, I got to figure it out. I got to get the tooling. I got to get the little Arbor for, I'm like, by the time I'm it's like three, $400 in tooling just to make that ring.
01:00:34
Denis Tyrell
And odds are I screwed up the first time. Yeah. I don't have time for that right now.
01:00:41
Denis Tyrell
Um, but we should mention our buddy Lawrence Lake over at Maritime Knife Supply. if you need anything, I'm talking to anything knife related abrasives, handle material, steel, uh, tooling equipment, you name it. He's got it. Go check them out at Maritime Knife Supply. And with all of the grumblings about maybe there's going to be some changes in tariffs, uh, things might be a little easier to purchase over at Maritime Knife Supply. I know, uh,
01:01:12
Denis Tyrell
Lawrence will appreciate not having to do all this tariff paperwork, which is really tearing him up right now. I know that I spoke to him a couple of months ago and i think he was pulling his hair out over that stuff.
01:01:24
Denis Tyrell
And he doesn't have a lot of hair left.
01:01:26
Denis Tyrell
So, you know, you and Brent, you and and Lawrence can't afford that kind of grief.
01:01:37
Bald Man
We got to hang on to every bit we can.
01:01:39
Denis Tyrell
Right. How's the beard? let's It's hide behind the mic.
01:01:43
Bald Man
but It's, it's, I know.
01:01:44
Denis Tyrell
Did you trim it?
01:01:47
Bald Man
I see. I can't. I grow like, I have patches on my cheeks, which is why I never have grown a beard. um So, yeah, um I'm struggling through it.
01:01:58
Denis Tyrell
i said I saw you in a video. I saw you in a video a couple weeks ago, and it was like, it looked much longer. Like you were you were starting to you know give Jared a run for his money, but...
01:02:09
Bald Man
I don't know. Jared has the most glorious beard, so I can never compete with that.
01:02:14
Denis Tyrell
So he keeps telling me.
01:02:14
Bald Man
But I, you know, i noticed when we got on, i saw Dennis has quite the stash going. I mean, I've seen, i've seen the scruffy that, I don't know.
01:02:22
Denis Tyrell
I always have mustache.
01:02:25
Bald Man
It looked way bigger. than You're getting the porn star stash there.
01:02:28
Denis Tyrell
No, I just trimmed it. I just trimmed it. I hate it when it when it gets when it gets past my lip and I can feel it on the top.
01:02:30
Bald Man
Really? Yeah. Yeah.
01:02:35
Denis Tyrell
Oh, that drives me nuts. I don't know how people do that.
01:02:38
Bald Man
Mine's like right there. I just trimmed it like.
01:02:41
Denis Tyrell
if i can If I can take my bottom lip and feel my mustache, it drives me crazy.
01:02:46
Bald Man
Yeah, whenever you when you chew on mustache hairs while you're eating, that's that's the move.
01:02:50
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, that is no, it's either gotta be like an inch past your lip or yeah, that's, drives me nuts. um You gotta make your spotlight. Maybe we should jump onto those.
01:03:06
Bald Man
Yeah, I got to make a spotlight for you.
01:03:09
Bald Man
Let's see here. I have Eddie over at OEG EDC. He makes everything EDC from fixed blades to folders to EDC NUCs. He's up in Pennsylvania, so he's got the the Keystone NUCs. I got my son one at Bladeshow.com.
01:03:32
Bald Man
uh, Atlanta last year. and, uh, that thing resides on his key chain. I always play with it. Whenever he comes home, I grab his keys from him and mess around with that.
01:03:43
Bald Man
Uh, but yeah, Eddie does some awesome stuff. He's, uh, got really cool fixed blades right in my, my alley, the smaller EDC fixed blades. Typically he's got some chef knives, uh, just, and he does solid work. Everything he does is just top notch.
01:03:59
Denis Tyrell
Is they one the one, the two knives in the second row, are those fixed plates, those folders?
01:04:06
Bald Man
He has folders. So I think the folder.
01:04:08
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, those are folders.
01:04:10
Bald Man
Yeah, those are his Windsor folder. And he's been doing those for two, maybe three years now.
01:04:18
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, see, this looks exactly you like, well, not exactly, but something like what I see coming out of like, like your shop, like something like you could do like that.
01:04:27
Denis Tyrell
That looks like, That could be yeah like one of your knives, one of your blades.
01:04:32
Bald Man
Yes. Super clean work.
01:04:35
Bald Man
Way cleaner than I would do.
01:04:38
Denis Tyrell
Oh, come on.
01:04:39
Bald Man
And he's got some really cool slip joints too. He's been messing around with.
01:04:44
Denis Tyrell
Flip joints are hard.
01:04:44
Bald Man
He had, he yeah I mean, if you look, he's got some photos of doing the slip joint, um the, the lock bar there.
01:04:52
Denis Tyrell
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:04:54
Bald Man
but Yeah. He's got some cool slip joints, really classy looking all of his stuff there.
01:04:58
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I've made one or two slip joints. They're not easy to make. Not easy at all. They're just a little finicky.
01:05:10
Denis Tyrell
You know, I never took a course on how to make one, so I was just shooting from the hip when I made it. But, yeah, they were harder than I expected. Maybe when I know now they'll be easier.
01:05:22
Bald Man
Yeah, i um i don't know. that's That's funny. So you think they're harder than doing the folders, huh?
01:05:29
Denis Tyrell
uh i do i think i think because they're just really the that arc that um you put like first of all you got to get the spring to drop just right into the back um and then it's you know especially if you want that half stop on the knife you have to like perfectly calculate where the flat spot is on that arc um that rides against the spring so that it stops, you know, halfway, i they're, they're tricky. I think they're a lot trickier than what people believe.
01:06:07
Denis Tyrell
Um, with, uh, um, with, uh, a frame lock a liner lock, you're just, you're just working with a stop pin. It's open and it's closed and it just rides in that track. You don't have to worry about how nicely, how stiff the spring is or anything like like that's pressing against the blade. Well, I guess the aligner lock does, but in a different way.
01:06:31
Denis Tyrell
So I can see why all the slip joint cartel guys at Atlanta, they're, yeah, they're serious into those things.
01:06:31
Bald Man
Yeah. Interesting.
01:06:43
Bald Man
Yeah, slip joint guys, that don't play around with them.
01:06:47
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. But OEGXXX.
01:06:48
Bald Man
Slip joint guys are serious.
01:06:50
Denis Tyrell
EDC, 11.4 thousand followers. So go check them out.
01:06:59
Bald Man
And I know he listens to this. So what's up, Eddie?
01:07:04
Denis Tyrell
I have, um I'm going butcher this, but Muzolic Knives. That's Milan Muzolic. Muzolic.
01:07:15
Denis Tyrell
I don't know how to say that, but M-O-Z-O-L-I-C knives, Moselik knives. i just I just love the just the form of some of these knives, like beautiful, um just really good flow between the handle and the blade.
01:07:36
Denis Tyrell
which I really, really appreciate.
01:07:37
Denis Tyrell
The top four, just like on his profile, are just perfect examples of just beautiful flow between the handle and the knife.
01:07:51
Denis Tyrell
Like I love the contours on on the on the handles on these.
01:07:51
Bald Man
Yeah, no, those are crazy.
01:07:56
Denis Tyrell
to And mostly folders.
01:07:58
Denis Tyrell
Most of what he's doing are folders. couple of fixable.
01:08:02
Bald Man
Yeah, that, that,
01:08:02
Denis Tyrell
Actually, it's a good
01:08:04
Bald Man
Man, that first one looks like a fixed blade. And I was like, I saw a clip on it and I'm like, what? Yeah, that is clean.
01:08:15
Denis Tyrell
yeah Actually, i thought that was I thought that was a fixed blade.
01:08:18
Denis Tyrell
i Now I've got to scroll through it.
01:08:21
Denis Tyrell
Oh, it is a folder. Jeez.
01:08:23
Bald Man
That's a look. Tasmanian Blackwood scales. Yeah, that is crazy. Crazy.
01:08:33
Bald Man
It looks like a fixed plate and it is not.
01:08:35
Denis Tyrell
um That's because there's no bolsters, which is very...
01:08:41
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, very cool. You don't often see a knife like that with no bolsters. And it's just, it's like the, I forget the the opening, like the top flick or whatever you call that.
01:08:53
Denis Tyrell
But it's a liner lock with um with hidden, not just hidden um pins or hidden pivots, but yeah, no bolsters either.
01:09:04
Denis Tyrell
So that's really cool.
01:09:07
Bald Man
Yeah, that is super clean work.
01:09:09
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, that's ah that's tough to do.
01:09:13
Bald Man
And that Mazalik knives.
01:09:16
Denis Tyrell
yeah beautiful stuff yeah he's got one that's like i don't know four four rows down or something like that it looks like a oh no it's damascus cladding with a core i thought it was a stainless from the other stainless sand white but it's and it it's got some i don't know if makumagane uh bolster with looks like that same um
01:09:17
Bald Man
Milan Mazalik. Yeah, super cool.
01:09:45
Denis Tyrell
wood that was on the top one. Yeah, it is McComb. Yeah.
01:09:52
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, that's beautiful. Yeah, Tasmanian blackwood for the handle as well. Just really slick looking.
01:09:58
Bald Man
yeah. So crazy. Yeah, at first I thought he had fixed blades and folders here.
01:10:04
Bald Man
And I'm looking. They're all folders. It's crazy.
01:10:07
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, no, i I did the same thing. The exact same thing. In fact, he's got one... Oh, it does have a bolster on one side. I thought it was like he was doing ivory scales um both sides.
01:10:20
Denis Tyrell
But one one side has a bolster. But yeah, he's really into the hidden um hidden pivot, which is cool.
01:10:28
Bald Man
Yeah, super clean work.
01:10:30
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. Very nice. ah Yeah, go check him out. He's only at 2,700 followers, which is amazing to me. This guy does just incredible work. So go give him a follow.
01:10:43
Bald Man
Yeah, good pick.
01:10:44
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, that one just, one of those ones just comes across your feet every once in a while, and man.
Tools and Platforms for Knife Makers
01:10:51
Denis Tyrell
If you had heat treat some knives, Brent, what would you use?
01:10:57
Bald Man
I would go for an even heat and i would want to get a tempering oven with it.
01:11:00
Denis Tyrell
That's right.
01:11:07
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, well, so would I, but we can't all be Jared.
01:11:10
Bald Man
I would want an even heat. I would want an even heat oven and a tempering oven to go with it.
01:11:18
Bald Man
Could double-decker that thing.
01:11:19
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. Um, yeah, I just haven't pulled the trigger on that. Uh, I'm still, most times I'm still using the kitchen oven to do tempering just cause, I don't know, too lazy to get, to get the other oven.
01:11:32
Denis Tyrell
But if i if I was going to get one for sure, it would be an even heat.
01:11:37
Denis Tyrell
Um, family-owned and operated since 1948. They build the best heat-treating ovens around. You can get any controller you want for them. Just awesome. I have two of them. um I do, I have a guy coming, wants to come for a sword class, but that got postponed. So I don't know if I'm going to be doing that before Blade Show.
01:12:03
Denis Tyrell
But I do have plans to use that big oven, i think, for my build for the ah next Knifemaker challenge that will be coming after Blade Show, which is the sci-fi challenge.
01:12:16
Denis Tyrell
So, yeah, I got some ideas for that one.
01:12:20
Denis Tyrell
So haven't done a sword in a while since the last one. don't remember what the last sword was. oh Oh, the military sword, the Marine officer sword.
01:12:30
Bald Man
I don't know, but I think.
01:12:33
Denis Tyrell
That's what it was.
01:12:33
Bald Man
Oh, yeah, the Marine officer sword.
01:12:35
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, yeah, I'll probably do another one.
01:12:36
Bald Man
That was a good one. So now you're so you only make swords for challenges. Is that what you're saying?
01:12:42
Denis Tyrell
No, um I was going, he was, this guy was supposed to come in April to do um a falcata. And then I was going to do one as well. And then have a falcata on the table for blade show.
01:12:55
Denis Tyrell
But since he postponed that, um, yeah, uh, I don't know. Maybe I still will. Maybe I'll still do a falcata for a blade show. That'd be kind of fun. I love that sword.
01:13:10
Denis Tyrell
um what else oh pelican paste so if you guys are looking to maintain your knives put a nice sheen on the wood uh or just taking care of making sure you don't get oxidation pelican paste is the way to go they've got hard wax soft wax pelican oil hand salve to keep those hands nice and soft and soap to get all the grime off him. Also, he's got the butternut cast iron seasoning. So he's got it all.
01:13:42
Denis Tyrell
Go to pelicanpaste.com. Use the discount code TTT10. And tell Travis we said hi. And... That's
01:13:51
Bald Man
sla Slather up those micarta handles, make that micarta pop again.
01:13:55
Denis Tyrell
right. That's right. And protect the steel.
01:13:57
Bald Man
Get some Pelican paste on there.
01:13:59
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, for sure. And the last one to pay the bills... is the drop point. If you're a knife maker and you know you can't just use, you can't just trust social media algorithms to get your your drops out there. You want to get in front of real buyers and not just try to sell your stuff to other makers like what most of us have as followers on on Instagram, use the Drop Point. This is a free newsletter spil ah spilt built trying to say built specifically um built specifically to connect makers directly with their buyers.
01:14:40
Denis Tyrell
ah No throttling, no shadow bands, no none of that. So get your stuff up on the Drop Point, that weekly newsletter, and get yourself out there to the people that actually buy what you make.
01:14:52
Denis Tyrell
I know Brent, you use it, right?
01:14:53
Bald Man
Yeah. I use it all the time. i use it every week, every week. Uh, hit up Steve with an email and he gets knives on there. Um, it's foolish not to do it. He offers it for free. Uh, I talked with him at blade show about it and, you know, it's cool to see his passion for it. You know, he makes awesome bearings. He's, he's got the, the skiff bearings and all that stuff going on and tools. Um,
01:15:20
Bald Man
But the drop point he wanted to do specifically, he watched his dad as his dad made custom knives for years. I think he still does. And he watched him just struggle to find an audience. um You know, part of we talk about it, selling knives is half of the half the part of making knives. Yeah.
01:15:41
Bald Man
And so he wanted to just create this for knife makers to give them a platform to be able to sell on. And, you know, he did this thinking about makers, thinking about how hard of a time we have selling our stuff. And super cool that he offers it for free. So, yeah, foolish not to do it. It's a free place to advertise your knives and tell people about what you've got going that week.
01:16:04
Denis Tyrell
Absolutely. We all love free. So, uh, get on it. Um, as far as my triple T this week, um, not, I don't really have a topic yet. So, uh, this one might, uh, be a shooting from the hip this week. I'm definitely going to have a video this week. I just don't know quite what it's topic it's going to be on.
01:16:27
Denis Tyrell
Um, So you guys have any ideas or anything you you want me to cover, hit me up on Instagram, send me a message, and maybe I'll do a video on your question.
Video Plans and Community Engagement
01:16:40
Denis Tyrell
any ideas for a video?
01:16:44
Bald Man
Um, yeah, i you put me on the spot right as I was coughing.
01:16:44
Denis Tyrell
I'm on the spot.
01:16:50
Bald Man
Um, you know, i really enjoyed the the video the last week. Um, I watched your video on doing the magnetic, um, surface grinding attachment when you converted your surface grinder somewhat, uh, um, to the on off magnets.
01:17:07
Bald Man
Um, yeah, I don't really, i don't know. It's a toss up.
01:17:14
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, I think this week is going to be one of those like talking about a topic.
01:17:18
Bald Man
Because you're not ready to do laser stuff yet, right?
01:17:20
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, in fact, I can't do laser stuff because this laser is not going to get released until next month. So I can't really talk about it publicly yet. um they don't want me to release any any content on it until uh end of march so uh it's got to wait anyway i think uh it'll be in my dagger video and then i'll do a dedicated video on uh lasering those um blocks and things like that um i might even just do the knife handle and play around, see if I can do an acrylic knife handle set, maybe for one of the chef knives I have on my on my board.
01:18:02
Denis Tyrell
So, yeah. But as far as other topics, i yeah, this week will probably just be ah like a ah talking video about a topic, maybe do a couple of demos. I just, don't know, haven't figured out. Maybe I'll go back to some my old videos and see.
01:18:18
Denis Tyrell
um some topics I haven't done in a really long time and maybe just recycle one of those with some new info.
01:18:27
Bald Man
Updated processes maybe.
01:18:29
Denis Tyrell
Right. Yeah. And, um, and it's funny being being a YouTuber, people will watch like your old videos and they'll, they'll ask you questions and and you're like, oh yeah, I don't do it that way.
01:18:40
Denis Tyrell
ah so I've had that happen many times. with like, oh yeah, the, to watch the newer one or I, yeah, I need to update that video. I don't, uh, I don't do any, yeah don't I don't even use that process anymore.
01:18:52
Bald Man
So that's what you can do. You can go, that's the, that's the idea for the topic is go through all your old videos and pull, pull a handful of videos that you've changed your process on and talk about why you changed your process or maybe just pull one.
01:19:06
Denis Tyrell
That's not a bad idea actually is a progression, you know, ah a process progression video on on a few things.
01:19:15
Bald Man
Like we were talking about earlier with the etching, like if you have an etching video, Go in pull that and say, here's the updated process because this is what I learned and whatever.
01:19:26
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, in fact, I need to, I actually, because when I was doing the Damascus classes, people would always ask me about etching and I'd kind of, I'd tell them the process. And I thought, why aren't I just, I always do course material for all my courses. i Like, why don't I just include this as part of the course material?
01:19:45
Denis Tyrell
So I actually wrote down in detail, step by step, what my etching process is. So I need to put that up on Patreon for the Patreon members.
Closing and Upcoming Events
01:19:59
Denis Tyrell
So I got to get on that. All right. Well, I think that's it for today. We've been on here for almost an hour and a half. So I'm excited to see you in March next month.
01:20:13
Bald Man
It's going to be awesome. I can't wait.
01:20:14
Denis Tyrell
Yeah. Yeah. How many knives think you're going bring? What's the number?
01:20:21
Bald Man
don't have an exact number yet. um
01:20:24
Denis Tyrell
well Come on, tell me give me the goal. I've got to hold you to your goal.
01:20:27
Bald Man
It'll, It'll be upwards of
01:20:32
Denis Tyrell
fifty 50. that's a good number
01:20:32
Denis Tyrell
That's a good number. That's a good number. That's at least 50 or 46 more than I'm bringing. i don't have table, but you know that's a lot of knives.
01:20:43
Bald Man
Yeah. Yeah. It should be upwards of 50 unless all those people want just go in and buy stuff before I get there.
01:20:47
Denis Tyrell
Awesome. Awesome.
01:20:52
Bald Man
So yeah, then, you know, I'll, I will enjoy to have that problem if,
01:20:53
Denis Tyrell
Yeah, that's a good problem to have too.
01:20:59
Bald Man
That's what happens.
01:21:00
Denis Tyrell
That's right. All right, Brent, thanks for joining me. We will will see everyone next week when Jared is back and we get to hear all about his golf.
01:21:04
Bald Man
Yeah, man. Thanks for having me.
01:21:13
Bald Man
We didn't talk about golf once, Dennis.
01:21:15
Denis Tyrell
I know this has been the best episode ever.
01:21:18
Bald Man
ah Even though Jared didn't have a good golf session on Saturday.
01:21:22
Denis Tyrell
I'm sure we're going to hear all about it next week.
01:21:22
Bald Man
All right, everybody.
01:21:26
Denis Tyrell
All right. Later, folks.
