Ep 30: First Blood

We kick off Rambothon with what is definitely the BEST movie we have ever covered, 1982's FIRST BLOOD directed by Ted Kotcheff and starring Sylvester Stallone, Richard Crenna and Brian Dennehy. This deep dive into America's mistreatment of returning Vietnam vets and dismissal of mental illness is heart wrenching, moving and also infinitely exciting. THIS IS NOT A BAD MOVIE but we wanted to cover it before we dig into the proceeding schlock-filled sequels that bastardize the first film and make you forget everything you were supposed to have learned.
