Holiday Greetings and Family Time

00:00:38
Eden & Briana
What is up, my beautiful bitches? Hello, hello. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, all. That's it. Oh my gosh. I hope everybody had a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Year's. um We had a wonderful time going to Wisconsin to spend Christmas with your side of the family. Yes. First time in years. And it was the first time we got to meet, it would be my first cousin. My great nephew. No, second cousin. Your second cousin. My great nephew and oh my gosh. You're so cute. Wow. What a good little baby. She's perfect.
00:01:20
Eden & Briana
ah He's just perfect. i There's no words to say other than he's just perfect. And? He looks like Colin Wann. Well, he's a beautiful blend of both. See, I see more of Connor. I see more of Connor, but I see Seishin there. ah He is a beautiful blend of both. Good enough, feller.
00:01:42
Eden & Briana
Connor and Seisha are very beautiful people inside and out. oh And to think that they could have a baby that wasn't as beautiful as him is crazy. right For sure. col He's beautiful. i'm not go say his Did I say his name on air? I didn't know if I had permission to do that. Whoops. Oh,

Challenges of Winter Podcasting

00:02:00
Eden & Briana
it's fine. It'll buff. It'll buff. So we would like to apologize. This episode took so long to publish.
00:02:10
Eden & Briana
the when it was supposed to be published, um it was freezing rain. That was at Rainstorm, yeah. ye Yep, and then... um Then we went to Wisconsin, didn't we? Yes, but I think we could have done it remote, but it's so touchy and we struggle with kind of setting it up. oh That one time it took us like an hour and a half.
00:02:37
Eden & Briana
Yeah, I don't know what the deal is with that, but I would like to, because we're in the throes of winter, I did take one of the microphones home with me, yes and I'm gonna get a little spot set up, and we should probably just practice a few times so we can, yeah instead of, oh, I can't get there today, let's remote, great we should plan yeah and have it set up, because I can almost bet there's gonna be times i I can't get here. Because we go under the same account, it's a pain in the butt, so it's like,
00:03:07
Eden & Briana
once we finally get you into the joined session or whatever, either I can't hear you or it's lagging or you can't hear me. I think the lagging part, I think that's part of the video. And if we just wouldn't look at, if we would shut the video off and just maybe audio, maybe I would quit watching your face and waiting for you to say something, you know? Yeah.
00:03:37
Eden & Briana
Why is my brother calling me? We'll figure it out. We better answer it. That's really weird that he's calling me. I'm going to pause real fast. And we're back. So yeah, we'll try to get that all figured out and have some remote episodes for you. Because it's like, like it's an all day process actually for me because like it's an hour to get here.
00:04:01
Eden & Briana
And then we record, we listen. Yup. And then why did it do that? I don't know. No, we don't just tell it to pause. Stop.

January Updates and Milestones

00:04:10
Eden & Briana
There we go. There. Okay. My computer's trying to update.
00:04:14
Eden & Briana
And then by the time we're done with that, that's two, three hours. And then I got another hour drive home. So getting a remote option would be great for the days that we have like a ton of shit to do. Yeah. Oh, she excuse you. I said snooze. It's not listening to you. It doesn't. It's kind of got a mind of its own today. I'm going to just clear all. Clear all. Should we hit or hit and do not disturb? It's already on. So why is it doing that?
00:04:44
Eden & Briana
I don't know anyways okay so yeah updates um excuse you oh sorry this is yours no what what do we do before we get into it I don't know it's been so long I don't think I can remember okay what are we doing today no no what do you got for true crime news there you go Um, you're not going to like this and I'm not going to like it either. And we also have, um, January awareness month to do since it's the new year. Okay. So I can't believe we're in 2025 already.

True Crime Story Reactions

00:05:20
Eden & Briana
I can't believe I'm a year older already. Oh, happy birthday, Brad. I missed your birthday because I was pissed at you, but I love you and happy birthday. It was on the 30th. I usually call him on his birthday, but he forgot to call me online. So, uh, two wrongs don't make a right.
00:05:36
Eden & Briana
Thank you. Sorry Brad. So for true crime news, in Henrico County, Virginia, 26 year old neonatal intensive care unit nurse. No, Erin. Stop right there. Stop. Erin Strutman has been arrested for unexplainable fractures in infant patients.
00:06:12
Eden & Briana
You should. i'm If looks could kill, I would be dead right now. um Can I just have five minutes with that woman? Yeah. Yeah. there was and She's a neonatal nurse. Correct. Did she become a neonatal nurse just so she could hurt babies? I don't know. Because being a neonatal nurse is hard. Yeah.
00:06:38
Eden & Briana
because your patients can't talk to you. no You have to figure out what's wrong with them. you Why? Fricking why? yeah It hits a little home for me because when my son was born, he spent three days in the neonatal. That is the first thing that popped into my mind when you said neonatal was my grandson and how much time that he spends in the hospital with nurses, period.
00:07:03
Eden & Briana
And if I ever caught anybody hurting my grandson, I'm sorry. I am a big time mama bear with my children, but my innocent little grandchildren, you better run for your money, man. you know You better just run. For more information on this story, you can find it at truecrimenews dot.com. What I need you to do is follow this case because I want to know what happens to her to this woman. um She needs to be put away for life. Yeah. I want an update on this.
00:07:34
Eden & Briana
I will draw that out. And I'm sure everybody's thinking the same thing as me. Me too. And I want it now. Yeah. So for January Awareness, it's National CBD Month. Well. National Bath Safety Month. For elderlies, I'm assuming, and probably children too. But that comes down.
00:08:03
Eden & Briana
I don't. that can i All I have to say here is you can't fix stupid.
00:08:11
Eden & Briana
but That's common sense. Why do we have to have an awareness for something that's common freaking sense? Well, there have been accidents where it takes you just step out for two minutes and it's too late, you know?
00:08:26
Eden & Briana
But they shouldn't, it's common sense. Yeah, not to leave, yeah. It's common sense. Why do we have to remind people? Old people, infants. Common sense. Yeah. That's just like my blow dryer. Don't blow dry your hair in the bathtub. Well, why would I do that? Why do you need to put a tag on there to remind me not to do that? Right. That's ridiculous, but okay.
00:08:47
Eden & Briana
um It is National Blood Donor Month. I like that. This one hits home for me. um National Braille Literacy Month. Oh, I love

Podcast Updates and Revisiting Episodes

00:09:00
Eden & Briana
that. Yeah, and National Slavery and Human Trafficking Month. If you or know someone who might need help or is in danger, the Human Trafficking hotline number is That is
00:09:27
Eden & Briana
eight Your shorts. but I couldn't help it. I thought it down. God. So as you may know, this is our brain washer after the Junko Furuda case. um So we're just going through. I'm starting at episode number one, and I'm going to do a few of them. And we decided not to do updates on all of them because later down the road when we need another brain refresher, we'll have more updates to go through. Yeah, so we figured about 10 to 12 each time. Yeah. Yeah. yeah um And I started from the other end. She started at the top and I started at the bottom. And I know why she did that to me. Because she didn't want to touch the bone breaker case and she didn't want to touch the jinkle ferruda case. You are correct. I knew it. Excuse me. Wow.
00:10:18
Eden & Briana
Excuse me. Good push, babe. So for episode one, Daniel William Marsh, as you all know, what, that was our first episode and it was, it was kind of a rough one for our first one. He broke into an elderly parent's house and killed Oliver Northrup.
00:10:42
Eden & Briana
and Claudia Maupin by um stabbing. Yes. Yes. Yes. um That was a rough one and I love the name Oliver and I still do. Yes. In an article from July 2023, the California Supreme Court denied Daniel's petition to review an appellate court ruling. What? Appellate. Okay.
00:11:08
Eden & Briana
I love you. Which says a 2019 law, state law granting relief to juvenile offenders doesn't apply to his case. He is now 26, still serving his time at the R.J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego. The family of Oliver and Claudia are relieved. I would Yeah, I bet they are. I bet they are. ah For sure.
00:11:39
Eden & Briana
um to From episode two. Wait a minute. Over here. Should I jump in and do my bottom one? Or are you going to save those for last? Well, let's save those. Yeah, let's get them out of the way. So we're going to kind of. We'll go back and forth because I've only got three updates and you did the rest. So okay I'll just throw one in in between you. And I did.
00:12:04
Eden & Briana
Joe Clark, the bearable bone breaker. And that's from episode 40. So a little recap, 14 year old Chris Steiner went missing on July 4th. And six days later, if you remember, cracked his body was found in the Wisconsin river. Okay. And they determined it to be an accidental drowning. And the case was basically done until the ultimate bad-ass 13 year old bad Phillips went missing.
00:12:31
Eden & Briana
He endured severe torture at the hands of Joe Clark, but made a miraculous escape, bringing a voice to Chris Steiner. My nose is running, dammit. Chris Steiner, as a second autopsy and stuff, he he didn't accidentally drown, but they determined that the injuries were so and similar to Thad Phillips, that he also was a victim, but he was still alive when he threw him in the river. But because of all the bone breaks,
00:13:01
Eden & Briana
he couldn't save himself and he drowned. So yes, he did drown, but it was not a damn accident. Clark is still in prison and actually I truly believe that he will never see the light of day. um As of today, not one single penny has been paid to Phillips, even though they won a lawsuit against Clark and he was ordered to pay them $21 million. dollars So Olga Johnson from Baraboo, Wisconsin,
00:13:30
Eden & Briana
Organized a GoFundMe account for Thad Phillips called support Thad Phillips, the real hero of Baraboo stating, quote, if not for Thad Phillips, Joe Clark would have continued to kill our community's children. Unquote. The last I checked, there was like 548 donations for a total of $15,352.
00:13:56
Eden & Briana
Miners of Mayhem will be opening up an account just for the pod and we will be getting our donation in. It won't be much because we are a broke ass podcast, but all amounts add up big or small. And he is a hero and he will forever be a hero. Yes, he will be. And that was it. That guy will never see the light of day. And if he does see the light of day, I hope there's some vigilante justice. Just saying.
00:14:22
Eden & Briana
I don't believe in it, but you know, sometimes if the shoe fits. Right. I agree. OK. What you got? So episode two was Koya Brothers, Batsig, and Morley. Oh. These four boys. That was my case, wasn't it? Yes. Oh. Murdered Jason Sweeney for his paycheck. Oh, gosh. And was dating Justina Morley, who lured Jason to the woods with a promise of sex.
00:14:51
Eden & Briana
And the boys were waiting. And they got him in a really vulnerable position too. They waited until his pants were down, yeah around his ankles. yes Yeah, that was a shit case. Judge said that there were no factors that would remove Nicholas Koya from the original life sentence. yeah Other than that, I couldn't find much else.
00:15:17
Eden & Briana
It was just all like talking about, um, so we don't know if moral is out or bad. I don't there. Um, I, like I said, it would, it just would talk about like what happened. Well, yeah no not cool, but okay. Is that all you got on that one? I do. Okay. Well, this one wasn't my case and I don't like this case because I am a mom.
00:15:45
Eden & Briana
You probably don't like it cause you are a mom. I am going back to episode 41, the murder of James Bulger. Two year old James was a duck, a duck, a bit abducted. Let me clean my tongue. He was abducted from a shopping center by 10 year old Robert Thompson and 10 year old John Venables, who then went on to torture and ultimately murder James.
00:16:14
Eden & Briana
They were released in 2001. Both received new identities under the protection of the of a worldwide injunction. Venables has been in and out of prison and is currently in lockup for has possessing child abuse images. Thompson has not reoffended since his release, and his identity remains protected. But I have more. Here comes the but.

Book Recommendation and Emotional Excerpts

00:16:42
Eden & Briana
so I haven't read this book yet, but it's in my wish list in my Kindle. It's called, quote, I let him go. The heartbreaking book from the mother of James Balger. oh I'm going to read you some of the prologue and I'm going to warn you that all the mothers are probably going to tear up. And, and your, your presenter here is probably going to tear a little bit too. I'm an asshole. I know.
00:17:10
Eden & Briana
So from that book is this out of the prologue. um So this is all in quotes, but I'm going to say quote at the beginning and quote at the end because I don't want to get in trouble. So quote, when I gave birth to my baby boy, I was full of hopes and dreams for him. But the one thing I didn't ever imagine was burying my son's tiny body after his murder. No parent wants to outlive their child or say goodbye. That wasn't in there. That's just me trying to not cry.
00:17:41
Eden & Briana
It's impossible to imagine, but my final hours and minutes with my beautiful James will be etched on my mind until my dying day. Getting my purse out to buy two pork chops for tea was the last thing I did before my world imploded forever. I went into the butchers holding my little boy's hand, making one final stop before heading home. And I left without James's hand in mine. That was how our last moments together went.
00:18:09
Eden & Briana
no long goodbye, no last cuddles and snuggles with the baby who meant more to me than life itself. Just me letting go of James's hand for a split second, rummaging around in my purse for the right change and my two-year-old son being led away to his death by the 10-year-old boys who murdered him." unquote Although I truly want to read this book, I'm not sure emotionally that I can. This book is available on Kindle for those who use e-readers and on Amazon for those who prefer paperback. And a little side note here, James was a rainbow baby. His big sister Kirsty, or Kirsty, I'm not sure how it's pronoun pronounced, I can see the spelling, but died right before or during labor.

Parole Hearings and Victims' Families

00:18:56
Eden & Briana
And I truly draw comfort from thinking of them being together in heaven. ah Okay, I'm done with that now. And what was the book called?
00:19:06
Eden & Briana
um I let him go, the heartbreaking book from the mother of James Bulger. Yeah, okay, okay. First one of the, say it again. oh My emotions ran hot from that one, sorry guys. All right, um episode three is Alyssa Bustamante. Oh, jeez Louise. Alyssa Bustamante murdered nine-year-old Elizabeth Olsen just to know what it felt like to strangle and stab someone.
00:19:38
Eden & Briana
Um, Alyssa is now 30 years old and the Missouri board of parole denied an early release from prison. She has been convicted since 2009. This information was published in July of 2024. Elizabeth, Alton's stepfather said the parole hearing was quote, another day of grieving for the family. Unquote.
00:20:05
Eden & Briana
Wow. Yeah. She should never see the light of day anyway. no My nose. Okay. Um, and thatmo sir yes. The next parole hearing will be in 2029. You know, that really sucks because every time these guys come up with parole, you know, dang well, that Elizabeth Alton's mother and her, her family, they're going to go to these and they have to relive every stinking moment and it's never going to end.
00:20:35
Eden & Briana
Every time they come up for parole, it's not going to end. ye And I believe there was something about that being said in the article as well. Enough. Well, another day of grieving. Yeah, enough. They went through it. why Why do they have to relive it? They're not getting... Do you think they're...
00:20:56
Eden & Briana
it It's got to be like ripping the band-aid off of a wound, man. Yeah. They're trying to heal it, trying to heal it. And then they pull that band-aid off and rip it wide open again. Gosh, dang it. I couldn't imagine. No. I have a hard enough time presenting some of the stuff that we present. students To live through it would be unimaginable.
00:21:21
Eden & Briana
Because that's the only word I can think of. Agreed. I couldn't. So for my next episode, and final one from me that I did this time, was Junko Furuta, the girl encased in concrete. This is from episode 42. A quick recap without the horrific details, because if you guys remember right, this one was awful. Every one of them is awful, but this one was 40 plus days awful. Yeah.
00:21:48
Eden & Briana
so um She was a beautiful, Junko Furuta was a beautiful 17 year old girl who was kidnapped and horrifically tortured and raped over a 40 plus day period by Hiroshi Miyano, Joe Okura, Shinji Minato, and Yasushi Watanabe until she succumbed to her injuries. Her body was placed in a metal drum and filled with concrete. Hiroshi Miyano was released in 2009 He promptly changed his name to Yokoyama. He has shown no remorse for the crimes against Junko and apparently lives the high life cruising around in his BMW and likes to brag about his ties to organized crime and multi-level marketing schemes. So still a piece of shit. Upon serving a very light sentence. And Junko will never have that opportunity even though she was so dedicated to her schoolwork.
00:22:47
Eden & Briana
I know, I know, her future was so bright and it was snubbed out by these little freaking pond scum suckers. But upon serving a very light sentence, Shinji Minato moved in with his mother. He married in 2006, had a daughter. Later his wife divorced him and won custody of their daughter. And in 2018, 45 year old Shinji was arrested for attempted murder. So, you know, he didn't learn either. So you got two pieces of shit.
00:23:17
Eden & Briana
Joe Ogura was released in 1999. He changed his name to Joe Kamasaku. Joe married, but this ended in divorce. And in 2004, he assaulted a man and spent four years in prison. In 2009, he was once again a free man. Wow. Yeah. Don't you see the pattern here? Yeah, there's quite a good pattern. Except Yashushi Watanabe served his sentence and has not yet re-offended.
00:23:46
Eden & Briana
He must be living a pretty quiet life as there is no information on him whatsoever. Before that dreadful day in 1988, Junco was a normal teenager getting ready to graduate and start on the next chapter in her life. Honor this and remember her name. I'm done with that. yeah that one That one was a rough one for sure.
00:24:12
Eden & Briana
yes it very Um, episode four, Krista Pike. Oh, another pile of shit. Yeah, and just wait. So episode four, it was episode four, was Krista Pike and Krista murdered Job Corps classmate, 19 year old, Colleen Slemmer, who she was jealous of and thought Colleen was trying to steal her boyfriend. So she killed her.
00:24:43
Eden & Briana
um As many of you know, Krista is the only woman sentenced to death in Tennessee. um She has spent most of her time in solitary confinement at, and she's 30 years old right now, at the Deborah K. Johnson Rehabilitation rehabilitation? that That center in downtown Nashville. However, in an article called Nashville Banner published on September 17th, 2024, Krista's attorneys finalized a settlement with the state that will end her isolation. The agreement will grant her the behavior dependent opportunities that the men on death row at get.
00:25:31
Eden & Briana
meaning she will have more time out of her cell to work a job and share meals with other incarcerated women. Angela berg Bergman, which was one of Krista's attorneys, said about her confinement, quote, for nearly 30 years, Ms. Pike has been subjected to solitary confinement in a cell the size of a parking space, wow where she has had nearly no meaningful human contact. She doesn't know how to have meaningful human contact. These conditions have had a devastating impact on her mental and physical health. Why? For Krista, this not only means a reprieve from decades of harmful and unconstitutional conditions, but an opportunity to have meaningful, positive impact on those around her, unquote.
00:26:27
Eden & Briana
She deserves not one of those things. And to her, I say, get fucked. Yes. So was there an outcome? It it was granted. It was granted? Yeah. They they finalized the settlement, which was having more time. So she gets to socialize now. Yes. And have her job. And have more mail. Oh, I'm sorry.

Justice, Rehabilitation, and Crime Case Updates

00:26:55
Eden & Briana
Can they provide those services for the girl that she put in her grave? Exactly. They say oh they say it's unconstitutional and inhumane. But um what about Colleen Slemmer? She never got to put a meaningful, positive impact on those around her. And she had a future. Yeah. She was, oh. a Call me sick, morbid, or whatever you want. But um I think she shouldn't have that opportunity.
00:27:25
Eden & Briana
Not to mention, in 2001, she attempted to kill another incarcerated woman by strangling Patricia Jones with a shoestring and was convicted of attempted murder in 2004.
00:27:40
Eden & Briana
But let's let her socialize with the other inmates. Are these unconditional? Oh, they made conditions? Because we don't possess free will at all, right? Jesus.
00:27:55
Eden & Briana
Yeah, that one really pissed me off. I have no words on that one, but shame on you. Whoever, just shame on you. She doesn't deserve any of it. It's bad for her mental and physical health. Who cares? What did she do to Colleen? Who fricking cares? Wow. Tennessee Aide is doing it right by keeping her in there.
00:28:22
Eden & Briana
and my Yeah. I'm glad they're keeping her in there. Is she still on death row, I'm assuming? Yeah. um She's been in there since what year? 30 years, right? 2009. Yeah. She's been okay kind confin in solitary confinement for 30 years. So are her appeals over? she I'm not sure on that. I didn't come across anything. Because I just have one question.
00:28:49
Eden & Briana
What? Why haven't they pushed the plunger on the needle? Yeah. It's 30 years. Yeah. Pretty much. I want to update on that, if anything comes out too. Okay. By the time we get around to this again and get through all of our updates, there's going to be more updates on the ones that we already updated. Right. So it'll be kind of cool.
00:29:15
Eden & Briana
um Okay, so for episode five, Harvey Miguel Robinson. um sorry Harvey was a known serial killer for raping and stabbing three women, Joan Burghart, Charlotte Schmoyer, and Jessica Jean Fortney.
00:29:36
Eden & Briana
and Wasn't that Denise Samcali? And one survivor, Denise Samcali. And they used her for bait to catch him later, didn't they? Yes. She was a badass. Yep. A damn badass. Yep. um Harvey was not eligible for parole, yet at his capital sentencing, the judge first speculated that the parole law might change.
00:30:02
Eden & Briana
He then retracted that speculation and correctly told the jury, quote, there won't be any parole, life is life, unquote. So the district, yes. ya yeah So the district courts were denied of habeas corpus, which means um a writ requiring a person under arrest to be brought before a judge or into court, especially to secure the person's release unless lawful grounds are shown for their detention. I'm a lawyer. So the article I got this from didn't make much sense because it was like the people versus Miguel or whatever. It was the lawyer jargon. It was the lawyer court versus. They didn't dumb me a down for us. No, they didn't. And I feel so stupid because I shouldn't know what that means. But I don't. Oh, this one's rough too.
00:31:00
Eden & Briana
Oh gosh. Well, no, it's not really rough because I only got a couple. So update on episode six, Loveless, Rippey, Tackett, and Lawrence. um Melinda Loveless, Lori Tackett, and Hope Rippey, and Tony Lawrence tortured and burned 12-year-old Shanda Shearer because Melinda was jealous of how close Shanda and Heverin became. yep So the jealousy and the whatever.
00:31:35
Eden & Briana
um Tony Lawrence was released from prison in 2000. Hope Rippy was released in 2006. On Facebook, there is a post showing Hope at a birthday party and the comment section is wild. Oh, boy. Saying she should have never got out of prison. She shouldn't be allowed around people or children and Oh, yeah, they were nasty. Good. Yeah. So just go to the Justice for Shanda Renee Sharer page, and you'll be able to find it. Did you get Reddit for any chance on that one? I didn't. I bet Reddit's got some good crap on it. Probably. In 2018, Mary Lauren Tackett, um who is 43, was released from prison on the anniversary of Shanda's murder.
00:32:31
Eden & Briana
What a slap to the face to her family. i Yeah, okay. That's really shitty. um That's pretty much all I could find on them. um Like I said, with the other one, every time I would type in their name, it would just go this story. and yeah Yeah, I get it.
00:32:53
Eden & Briana
yeah um and Update on episode seven, Craig Price. Oh, he was a really big kid, right? Yeah. Yup. And this is is this the wrestling? No, no, no, no, no, no. He's a serial killer. Let me see. Maybe I'm confusing my murders. You're probably thinking of... I'm thinking of the wrestling. Wasn't that Paris Vuitton?
00:33:22
Eden & Briana
Was it he and Orison? No, he murdered his sister. Oh, I don't know. Anyway, well, I'm sure we'll get there. No, it was sometime. um
00:33:34
Eden & Briana
It was, the cop was babysitting that tiny itty bitty little girl and then he... Yeah, who was that? Shit, we'll have to look after this. Yeah, that's gonna drive me nuts. Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you. My bad.
00:33:49
Eden & Briana
There aren't any updates on Craig because after his four victims um and getting convicted while he was in prison, he had another attempted murder charge adding 25 years to a sentence. And I believe we went over that in his episode. of na He killed a neighbor and then two years later killed a single mom and her two young kids. I believe there were 10 and seven.
00:34:19
Eden & Briana
Um, yeah, that was a brutal case. Uh, update on episode eight. Um, who is John Silva who murdered John Lee Alley still has Jerry, Jerry Lee Alley. Oh yeah. I don't know why I put, I don't know. Um, that he still has no eligibility for parole. He is the one who strangled Jerry and dumped his body into a septic tank. Yep. Yeah. He still has no... That's the psychic. The psychic. Oh, yes, that's right. The badass psychic. Yes.

um yeah Um... Episode 9, which is Eric Smith. Oh, the redhead. Yep. Eric only spent 28 years behind bars for killing four-year-old Derek Robbie.
00:35:16
Eden & Briana
He was released from prison at age 42 in November of 2021, and he is roaming free in Queens, New York. And I believe we had said that in that episode, um but there wasn't much after that. I think I'm not 100% positive. I thought I saw something.
00:35:42
Eden & Briana
Aww.
00:35:45
Eden & Briana
I don't think he's re-offended. I thought, I think he got help. i could because Wasn't he a fetal alcohol baby or something like that? There was something yeah wrong. Oh, mom was on seizure medication. yep And that affected him. Cause he had low set ears and he looked like a little drape. I think he got the help he needed. good But I'm not, don't quote me yeah because I'm just kind of pulling it from the back of my brain. but yeah i Nothing excuses what he did, but I think he's coming around and being better, getting what he needs to whatever. Function. Workout. I think so. Being a psycho? I think so.

00:36:42
Eden & Briana
so no so episode 11. This is going to be my last update for this episode. um Episode 11 was Nicholas Browning. Oh, Nicholas murdered his parents and two younger brothers because he didn't want anyone telling him what to do and his brothers because if they were dead, they wouldn't get any of the inheritance. Yep. Yep. Nicholas is still incarcerated and may become eligible bull for parole in the year

2031.
00:37:19
Eden & Briana
He doesn't deserve to be out. No, I don't. You know, if you murder somebody, life ah like wife is life. You take a life, you serve life. Here's my thoughts. If it's self-defense, that's one thing. like If it's either your life or somebody else's, if somebody's breaking into your home, you have the right to protect yourself. Or somebody's trying to kidnap you, you have the right to protect yourself.
00:37:43
Eden & Briana
that kind of murder I'm not putting on the plate. But if you viciously murder somebody just to viciously murder, it should be automatic life and no parole. Quit putting the families through this shit. I don't. but then we But then we also look at that one case where on was it, I don't remember the name, but he,
00:38:11
Eden & Briana
He was, when he was incarcerated, he did, he got his GED. He has college degrees in- Didn't he become a lawyer? To help other criminal people that went through? I think so. A criminal lawyer, defense attorney. Even though he took a life, does he deserve to serve a life? like you know I'm trying to remember this case. There's so many, um,
00:38:40
Eden & Briana
Each circumstance is different, but for the most part, if you take a life, you should serve a life. Yeah, you should. And I'm talking about the vicious ones, like the- Oh yeah, you did say vicious. The vicious murders, like now- But he was- The Cody Posey case? Cody Posey had to save himself. Oh yeah. He was going to be abused so much that one of the times it was going to turn out bad. And he never re-offended.
00:39:06
Eden & Briana
No, he didn't. He turned into one of the nicest people on earth. How about that other guy? um
00:39:14
Eden & Briana
Oh, what was his name? The one that was brought up in this Brahm. David Brahm? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Look at that one. I can't. His brother was kicked out of the house because he listened to rock and roll.

Closing Remarks and Listener Reminders

00:39:34
Eden & Briana
Yeah, satanic panic case.
00:39:37
Eden & Briana
It was the parents' strict religion, yeah very strict religion. Yeah, and that that that brother that got kicked out of the house just because he liked music and he liked the goth look and he liked the black clothes and he went on to do good things in life. yeah His life was cut short. Yeah, I believe he had a heart attack or something like that. Something took his life. Or cancer was it cancer? I don't remember. I can't remember, but yeah. But yeah, that's all I got.

I didn't like, not a one of them. That, that Christa Pike one really pissed me off. but That Christa Pike one, I don't understand why the needle hasn't been plunged. I don't get it. Yeah, it's been 30 years. Get it done and over with. But do you know how much it is? ah Apparently the number to actually do that is in the millions. And I, I'm not sure I understand why.
00:40:36
Eden & Briana
The medication don't cost that much. It takes millions to come in now. I guess so. I guess so. Why? I'm not sure if that's everything, like the appeals process. I'm not sure if that's everything all hyped together on a death penalty. That I could see. But it is, I'm not sure. If anybody knows why it's so expensive to do that, fill me in because I don't have the patience to look. I'm lazy, not lazy. I got shit to do, man. I do too.
