That's awesome. Yeah. So what are we doing today? Oh, you want to do true crime news first? Oh, yeah. True crime news. We got to get back in the hang of things here. I know. We're a little rusty.
00:03:36
Eden & Briana
So in true crime news, this is going to make anybody and everybody angry. And if you don't get angry over this, then I don't know you. Great. So in true crime news, well, it's actually not new news because it would be last month's news, but...
Tragic Child Abuse Case in Virginia Beach
00:03:54
Eden & Briana
We're going to go to Virginia Beach, and there was a 27-year-old man sentenced to 30 years in prison in connection with the death of his two-month-old daughter.
00:04:06
Eden & Briana
Apparently, relatives heard him yelling obscenities at the baby over an Xbox gaming headset. The baby reportedly stopped crying and was discovered unresponsive shortly after.
00:04:19
Eden & Briana
She was transported to a hospital, put on life support, and she succumbed to her injuries days later. The baby suffered multiple injuries, including 26 rib fractures in various stages of healing, bruising to her chest wall, a fractured clavicle, a skull fracture, bruising to her skull, and a severe brain bleed.
00:04:42
Eden & Briana
Wow. For more information on this and other crime news, go to truecrimenews.com. Yep, that one just had my bull blood just boiling. You know, I'm a gamer. I love gaming.
00:04:55
Eden & Briana
There's no doubt about that. You're a gamer. You love gaming. Yeah. But I will be damned if I'm going to ignore my crying child so I can keep playing my freaking game. My kid comes first.
00:05:06
Eden & Briana
Right. So what the hell? And over a headset? like I mean, like, no, the relatives heard him over a headset. Oh. That's how they knew to go in there or go over or do whatever. Yeah.
00:05:19
Eden & Briana
Yeah. So I don't know if he was playing with somebody. I don't know the specifics, but I'm assuming he was playing with somebody. ah family member. A family member. And the family member heard that.
00:05:33
Eden & Briana
Wow. Mm-hmm. That's sick. Disgusting, huh? Yeah. okay Okay. Great way to start. i Well, I wanted to bring you in hot and heavy, so the next few episodes that I do won't drag you down to the mud. Okay.
00:05:50
Eden & Briana
Well, i'll try all true crime is heavy. Oh, I know. It's horrible. Some hit different than others, but they're all terrible.
00:06:00
Eden & Briana
Yeah. So for this episode, this one is going to... Yeah.
History of Danvers State Hospital
00:06:08
Eden & Briana
We're going to Danvers, Massachusetts. massive said Why can I not say that state? Anyway, that one.
00:06:17
Eden & Briana
We're going to the year 2013.
00:06:20
Eden & Briana
Danvers is a suburb of Boston and it was originally called Salem Village and it's known for its association with the 1692 Salem Witch Trials and also for being the site of Danvers State Hospital also known as the Danvers Lunatic Asylum and the Danvers State Insane Asylum that was built in 1874.
00:06:46
Eden & Briana
so I kind of knew you would love this, so I decided we'll talk about it for a second. Okay. Okay, because I knew you were just going to be like, So if you didn't figure it out by the various names, this place was a mental institution.
00:07:02
Eden & Briana
It was built on 77 acres of land in area. ah pretty isolated area most That's huge for back there. 77 acres. That's quite large. So it kind of reminds me of the spread of the Sandhaven up there.
00:07:18
Eden & Briana
It reminds me of that. So um where was I? Most of the buildings were connected by an underground tunnel system.
00:07:31
Eden & Briana
Sounds like Sandhaven. Yep, sounds like Sandhaven. Originally, the hospital was designed to house 500 patients. Wow. Yeah, with the potential to house 1,000 more patients by utilizing the attic space.
00:07:46
Eden & Briana
but By the late nineteen thirty s over 2,000 patients were living there, with some of them actually being housed in the basement. Oh. Yeah, they were overpopulated big time. So there was actually reports made that shock therapy, drugs, straight jackets, and the good old lobotomies were actually being used to control the overcrowding.
00:08:14
Eden & Briana
The hospital closed its doors in 1992. Now, this place would have made it on my need-to-visit list, But in 2005, the property was sold with the new owner's intentions to build 400 plus apartments.
00:08:31
Eden & Briana
So in 2006, the hospital was demolished, but most of the wood was salvaged to be reused as flooring in the new apartments. Oh, just think about Let that sink in for a minute.
00:08:45
Eden & Briana
In 2007, the
00:08:47
Eden & Briana
Four of the apartment buildings and four of the construction trailers burnt down in a large fire. Coincidence?
00:08:59
Eden & Briana
That's creepy.
00:09:03
Eden & Briana
Don't they say that like spirits attach themselves to things and then repurpose Something from a place like... That's why I don't buy, like... Antiques? Antiques, like ah dressers, jewelry, anything, really. Yup.
00:09:18
Eden & Briana
It's just creepy. I was thinking the same exact thing. I just did. When I went to South Dakota with Amanda. What'd you buy? We both... Well, it was more of like a... It wasn't like... It was an antique store, but there was a lot of modern stuff in there, too. Uh-huh.
00:09:35
Eden & Briana
But we just got these metal signs with... a
00:09:41
Eden & Briana
ah sun moon and stars oh yeah and there was two of them and it was like oh well that's our sign yep because we actually got matching tattoos of a sun and moon oh i love it yeah so nothing creepy is happening so that's that's a bonus well well okay had to wet my whistle i haven't talked this much in a long time right Okay, so happenings in 2013 were the Boston Marathon bombing and the day the world cried, Paul Walker's car crash.
00:10:28
Eden & Briana
Some key fashion trends included athletic wear, black and white color combos, sheer and lace fabrics, bold patterns, anything leather, flats and low heels, and neon colors.
00:10:44
Eden & Briana
That's quite the variety. That's quite the variety. I'm trying to think back to 2013
00:10:51
Eden & Briana
I remember 2013, but I don't remember really any of that fashion just jumping out and biting me. Me neither. But maybe I was just in my own little world. Who knows? we probably were. Mm-hmm.
00:11:08
Eden & Briana
I don't even know. Okay. So should we get into it? Yes. Yes. Let's get into this case. No, I don't want to, but this one's going to blow you away. and yeah Sorry, Brad.
00:11:20
Eden & Briana
wo You're coming back strong, Bree. and know.
The Disappearance of Philip Chisholm and Colleen Ritzer
00:11:24
Eden & Briana
On October 22nd, 2013, two people from the town of Danvers were reported missing.
00:11:32
Eden & Briana
24-year-old Colleen Ritzer, and 14-year-old Philip Chisholm. Chisholm, excuse me, I can't read. Colleen was a math teacher at Danvers High School, and she was described as, quote, a brilliant ray of light, unquote.
00:11:49
Eden & Briana
She was the teacher who used Twitter to send assignments and inspirational sayings. Her Twitter profile read, quote, math teacher often too excited about the topics I'm teaching, unquote.
00:12:05
Eden & Briana
She was the awesome teacher that everybody would, you know, she was everything a person would want in a teacher. She was passionate. She was dedicated. And she was 110% invested in her students' She still lived with her parents.
00:12:22
Eden & Briana
So when she didn't come home at the normal time, it really did raise concerns for her parents. She's 24, you said? Yep. She was always the kind of person. She was very considerate of her parents. you know She was still under their roof. So if she was going to be late or miss the supper table, there was not one time that she didn't let her parents know that, hey,
00:12:47
Eden & Briana
I'm not going to be home by this time. She was very considerate and, you know, she was under her parents' roof. She was doing the normal, the thing that you should do. Respect. Respect. So this really, you know, her being like that, it really prompted them to call the police department and report Colleen is missing.
00:13:09
Eden & Briana
The very same evening, evening another worried parent was reporting her 14-year-old son, Phillip, missing. Apparently... 14. Apparently, Phillip was supposed to have soccer practice and then supper with his teammates afterwards, but he didn't show up for either one of those. so The police department put photos of Phillip up on their website asking for people to keep an eye out for him and to come forward with any information that may help figure out where the boy was.
00:13:38
Eden & Briana
Okay. Okay. So Philip was born January 21st, 1999 to Stacey and Diane Chisholm in Clarksville, Tennessee.
00:13:52
Eden & Briana
Unfortunately, like many marriages, theirs fell apart due to in infidelity issues on Stacey's part. Stacey's the husband. Okay. Okay. This prompted Diane to move to Florida for about a year when Philip was 10 years old.
00:14:09
Eden & Briana
As he was a very young age, Phillip appeared to have really adjusted well to living in Florida. He was said to have been really helpful around the house, and he enjoyed doing the things that most 10-year-olds enjoy doing.
00:14:24
Eden & Briana
But after living in Florida for that year, Diane and Phillip moved back to Tennessee. During middle school, Phillip excelled at soccer, and he was actually said to be one of the main reasons their team won the league championship.
00:14:41
Eden & Briana
He was known to be a very respectful boy and one of the friendliest on the soccer team. After Philip graduated from middle school in 2013, mind you, middle school, he's already got his roots set. He's got his teammates. He's got, dang.
00:14:59
Eden & Briana
Friends. and Yeah, my heart bleeds a little bit at this part. but So after he graduated from middle school in 2013, Diane and Philip would make one more move, this time to Danvers Massachusetts.
00:15:13
Eden & Briana
I kind of said it. Again. Just say mass. Mass, there you go. Again, Philip seemed to just roll with the move. Throughout my research, it was stated over and over that he adjusted well to all the moving.
00:15:27
Eden & Briana
However, his mom, Diane, said the exact opposite and also m emphasized how stressful the divorce from Philip's father was. So he was putting on a show for everybody. Well, you read my mind because my next sentence was, so maybe he just put on a brave face for his classmates and friends.
00:15:50
Eden & Briana
And 14 year old boys really don't go around talking about their feelings. You know what I mean? Oh, how do I get rid of my keyboard? Darn it. I don't want it anymore. Okay.
00:16:06
Eden & Briana
And, you know, they don't show their feelings a lot either. They're 14-year-olds. They're just, their hormones are whack, and that frontal lobe is all messed up Yeah. So anyway, Phillip began his freshman year at Danvers High School in the fall of 2013.
00:16:21
Eden & Briana
He did join the junior varsity soccer team and seemed to get along a well with his teammates. One student who worked on a history assignment with Phillips said, quote, he was always a really, really quiet kid, but he was nice, unquote.
00:16:37
Eden & Briana
Another student said, quote, he's quiet, just keeps to himself, probably because he's new to the society, but I mean, he's a good kid, unquote. Phillip did make friends in the new school, but he chose them very carefully.
00:16:52
Eden & Briana
He certainly wasn't outgoing, but you know he was the new kid and that would seem pretty normal to me. But overall, according to everyone aside from Diane, Phillip portrayed a well-adjusted team.
00:17:05
Eden & Briana
He was an athlete, he was respectful, and I can only assume that he had decent grades due to eligibility requirements to participate in extracurricular activities. right So I'm assuming that he kept his grades passing.
00:17:18
Eden & Briana
And I didn't find anything that would suggest Philip abused drugs or alcohol.
00:17:25
Eden & Briana
As the weeks went by, Philip became a different, more dark, broody, and sullen person. According to one of his teammates, quote...
00:17:37
Eden & Briana
Phillip quieted down. Every time I tried to make a conversation with him, it'd either be very short or he'd just ignore what I had to say, unquote. He wasn't getting excited about making goals anymore, and when one of his coaches said that he should be thankful that his teammates set him up for a goal, Phillip said nothing and just turned away.
00:18:00
Eden & Briana
Something's clearly wrong. Something's clearly wrong. That's like a light switch. Keep talking, and I need a drink. Well, he just, it's like a light switch went from one straight to the other.
00:18:11
Eden & Briana
So what happened?
Philip's Troubling Behavior and Tennessee Conversation
00:18:13
Eden & Briana
Well, I don't know, because maybe this is what Diane was talking about. Maybe he was like this all the time, but he was putting on that brave face, and then maybe he couldn't keep the act up anymore.
00:18:25
Eden & Briana
yeah mean Now, this is not me. I'm just throwing ideas out there. I couldn't tell you another. Well, everybody's got a breaking point, too. Well, right. But that it was so contradicting to read that he had adjusted well and then to read what she said. Right.
00:18:43
Eden & Briana
It's like I could only assume that he just put up that face for as long as he could and couldn't do it anymore. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. But. That's speculation.
00:18:54
Eden & Briana
That is exactly what it is. That is our opinion. I'm not trying to say that's exactly what happened. Just that would be my best guess. Yeah. Yeah. So one more drink because, you know, parched.
00:19:10
Eden & Briana
So let's, uh,
00:19:14
Eden & Briana
Let's go to the day. Let's go to October 22nd. Now, mind you, I just told you Philip's attitude has completely done a 360 how many ever's? 180. 180. Yeah, it's done something.
00:19:30
Eden & Briana
So on October 22nd, Philip was talking with Miss Ritzer when she brought up Philip's home state of Tennessee Now, no one knows exactly what was said, but as Philip became visibly upset, Miss Ritzer quickly changed the subject.
00:19:49
Eden & Briana
But nobody, nobody knows what was said. Nobody knows what set him off, what she said about, nobody knows. Okay. So we're going to skip forward.
00:20:03
Eden & Briana
Because things kind of run in tandem a little bit here. So I'm going to be skipping back and forth. So if you get lost, I am so sorry. So let's skip forward. The search for Colleen Ritzer was underway.
00:20:14
Eden & Briana
The obvious place to start was the school. Colleen's car was still in the parking lot. That's the one that brought up Tennessee? Yep. that's the This is the teacher. Yep. so their searches So they're both missing.
00:20:27
Eden & Briana
Phillip and Colleen are both missing. Same exact day. And they've both been reported as missing. So shit is going down at the, you know what I mean? Yep. Okay.
00:20:40
Eden & Briana
So we're going to go what? Okay. So her car was still in the parking lot. Her classroom room was searched. Sorry. Tongue tying myself. But there was none of her personal, like personal belongings in the room. No purse, no cell phone.
00:20:55
Eden & Briana
That stuff was not there. You know, those are those are things that she would have taken with her had she gone somewhere. Right. So, who knows. I've lost my place.
00:21:11
Eden & Briana
So, down from her room... Is a ladies bathroom. And that bathroom was searched. And there was ah small brownish red smear in one of the stalls.
00:21:24
Eden & Briana
But it was absolutely nothing that would set off alarm bells. I mean, it is the girls bathroom. So there are a number of rational reasons why a smear of blood would be in the girls bathroom. Right.
00:21:36
Eden & Briana
Somebody could have shaved their legs. Somebody could have had shark week. Somebody could have got a bloody nose. Yeah. Any of those things. So. No alarm bells on that.
00:21:49
Eden & Briana
After a thorough search inside the school, they expanded their search to the school grounds, and they worked their way out into kind of a wooded, you know, kind of a surrounding area.
00:22:02
Eden & Briana
In this kind of wooded area, they found a purse, and it appeared as if it hadn't been out in the elements for very long. It wasn't sun-faded. It wasn't crispy.
00:22:13
Eden & Briana
You know what I mean, right? It's kind of hard to explain, but you know what? Yeah. You can tell when something's been sitting in the sun for. Yeah. Yeah. So this did not appear to be out there for very long.
00:22:24
Eden & Briana
um Unfortunately, there was nothing in there, no wallet or identify identification inside the purse. So don't know whose it is.
00:22:38
Eden & Briana
Are you laughing at me because I keep tripping over my tongue? Yeah. ah Oh, my God. Stop.
00:22:46
Eden & Briana
you Okay. I'm just saying. I see that. Okay, so the search continued, but not for very long.
Discovery of Colleen Ritzer's Body and Investigation
00:22:59
Eden & Briana
Under a pile of leaves laying face up and naked from the waist down was the body of Colleen Ritzer. She was bruised and bloodied and appeared to have been dragged.
00:23:10
Eden & Briana
And there was a handwritten note and found next to her body which read, quote, I hate you all, unquote. Oh. Also located nearby was a green trash bin. Now, they called it a recycling bin, but we don't do we don't have recycling facilities up here, so...
00:23:28
Eden & Briana
I'm thinking it's the same kind that we have for our trash. Yeah. You know, the green flip top. Anyway, that was not far. And also found was a pair of bloody gloves.
00:23:43
Eden & Briana
Okay. Okay. So the school has nearly 150 cameras throughout the school. It was a really good up-to-date system, but according to the information that I found, it was hooked up through an old computer system.
00:24:01
Eden & Briana
So getting through all of the different footage was going to be quite an undertaking. Like you couldn't just say, hey, I want to see the schoolroom footage of classroom, whatever. Apparently they weren't marked or they weren't set up.
00:24:18
Eden & Briana
It was something. I don't know what. okay So getting through that footage, they were going to have to put it together. And it was going to be one hell of a job because you're looking at whatever time in the morning you're going to want to watch the footage for that whole damn day. Right. Right.
00:24:35
Eden & Briana
And to try to put it together. Right. So I guess it was going to be quite, quite something. But they got her done. And the video from that day revealed pretty much the normal for any school day.
00:24:50
Eden & Briana
Colleen was wearing black pants and a purple shirt and is seen standing by the doorway at the end of her class. A fellow teacher enters into the frame in a matching outfit to Colleen's because apparently it was dressed like your friend Day at Danvers High.
00:25:08
Eden & Briana
So they were twinning. In the meantime... while you know, they're still working on this video and we're still got another missing, right?
00:25:18
Eden & Briana
who Apparently there's a stretch of road that doesn't have any streetlights and there's like a bridge on this road that becomes very narrow and it doesn't have a walking path. So for safety issues, when someone's spotted on that not so so safe road, usually a police officer will respond.
00:25:39
Eden & Briana
Oh, okay. Because I guess it's just unsafe. So anyway, they got a tip that there was someone on this road, and an officer did respond, and it didn't take long to figure out that they had located the missing 14-year-old, Philip Chisholm.
00:25:55
Eden & Briana
There's something that I don't think I added in here.
00:25:59
Eden & Briana
um When you think of a 14-year-old, I don't think I put this in here anywhere.
Philip Chisholm's Arrest and Evidence Discovery
00:26:05
Eden & Briana
When you think of a 14-year-old, well, look at look at Eli. 12. he's twelve He's not very, I mean, just great just think about your average 14 year old.
00:26:16
Eden & Briana
Yeah. Philip chion Chisholm is nothing like that. Oh. He is hulking tall. He's a very large kid. Like not fat.
00:26:27
Eden & Briana
Just. He is very tall. Yes. And I'll pull up pictures and show you later because, oh, I can't tell you now. I was just going to give something away. Gosh, dang it. Mm-hmm.
00:26:45
Eden & Briana
I think I can kind of see where this is going, but I don't know. Okay. Back to it.
00:26:55
Eden & Briana
So what did I just say? Oh, crap. On the bridge to find. Right. So they located him. And when he was asked where he was going, he replied, nowhere.
00:27:07
Eden & Briana
And when he was asked where he was coming from, he responded, Tennessee. And that he'd been walking for a couple days. when he was When they asked what was in his backpack, he said survival survival gear.
00:27:19
Eden & Briana
Oh, I guess I did put a little side note here. If you were to run into this kid in the street, you'd never guess that he was 14 years old. He's a very, very tall kid, and he appeared older than his actual age.
00:27:30
Eden & Briana
So I guess I did have it written in there. So search of Philip's backpack revealed a driver's license, insurance card, and credit cards all in Colleen's name. a ski mask, a box cutter, and a pair of women's underwear.
00:27:45
Eden & Briana
His explanation for having Colleen's wallet was that he had stolen her things from her car that was parked in the school parking lot.
00:27:54
Eden & Briana
Closer examination of the box cutter revealed what appeared to be dried blood. When Philip was asked about the blood, he flatly stated, quote, it came from the girl, unquote.
00:28:08
Eden & Briana
Okay. Oh, shit.
00:28:13
Eden & Briana
Let's go back to the video surveillance that's being put together.
00:28:18
Eden & Briana
On this surveillance, just before 3 p.m., Colleen left the classroom and went into the bathroom. Then Phillip is seen sticking his head out of Colleen's classroom, and he starts walking down the hallway in Colleen's direction.
00:28:34
Eden & Briana
As he is walking, he pulls up his hood and puts on a pair of gloves and enters the bathroom. Approximately 11 minutes later, you can see a female student enter the bathroom and quickly exit.
00:28:48
Eden & Briana
You then see a barefooted Philip step out of the bathroom. His hands are bloody and there's blood on his jeans. He then changed his clothes and is seen wheeling a trash bin into the bathroom.
00:29:02
Eden & Briana
Mind you, he had to go down two floors, go outside, and collect the trash bin and bring it up to the second floor. I do believe the school was equipped with elevators, but still.
00:29:16
Eden & Briana
How did he manage to do this without his movements being noticed? Right. I mean, the kid was taking a trash bin through the school. That's... Yeah, okay.
00:29:29
Eden & Briana
Yeah. So, anyway...
00:29:32
Eden & Briana
Sometime later, he is seen pushing the trash bin out of the bathroom, down the hallway, and ultimately outside. Again, unnoticed. About 30 minutes later, he returns.
00:29:47
Eden & Briana
He changes clothes again, goes to his locker, and then to the second floor bathroom, and then leaves. Who brings that many pairs of clothes to school? Exactly.
00:30:01
Eden & Briana
At this point, he goes to the movie theater, buys a ticket to a movie, and goes to Wendy's to grab a bite to eat.
00:30:10
Eden & Briana
Which eventually leads to him being spotted and brought in, and he used Colleen's credit card for dinner and a movie. How nice of him to help himself.
00:30:27
Eden & Briana
That's so quite the dick move.
00:30:33
Eden & Briana
You reckon? That's pretty dirty. Yep. So witnesses did start coming forward with information.
Witnesses and Suspicious Activities
00:30:46
Eden & Briana
One mother said she saw Philip running from the school long after classes were over. Another pertinent person witnessed him pushing the trash bin outside And yet another said she saw him changing clothes in the bushes.
00:31:00
Eden & Briana
So. And as far as the student seen quickly. If you see something, say something. But as far as the student that was seen quickly exiting the bathroom, she explained that when she entered the bathroom, she seen a flash of naked butt and she assumed that someone was changing clothes or two students were engaging in sex.
00:31:24
Eden & Briana
And her immediate reaction was to leave. I would have done the same exact thing. Yep. You know, not not one of those situations, changing clothes or finding students having sex. Not one of those situations screams murder.
00:31:39
Eden & Briana
No. It screams Okay, somebody's either changing clothes or somebody's doing something really nasty and I don't want nothing to do with it. Bye. Or, hey, they they're changing.
00:31:50
Eden & Briana
I'm going to give them their privacy because that's weird. Yep. I mean, seeing a naked butt was enough. Yeah. If you were to go in there and say that, you know, they were changing. Yeah. Yeah.
00:32:05
Eden & Briana
it Yeah. Anyways. So I don't blame her, but I would have done the same exact thing. And kids are weird. Nobody wants to walk in in a situation like that anyway.
00:32:16
Eden & Briana
Especially a damn teenager. And you're not going oh, let me go look. its Like, that's weird. yeah So her actions are very valid. Yes.
00:32:28
Eden & Briana
So in the meantime, Diane was contacted and went to the police station where her and Phillip were taken to an interrogation room.
00:32:37
Eden & Briana
Apparently, Philip didn't want to talk while his mom was in the room, so she said she would leave if that's what he wanted. He basically said, i don't know why you're here anyway, to which she replied, I am here because I love you, and his response was, I don't care.
00:32:54
Eden & Briana
Oh. Yeah. So at this point, she does leave the room, and he tells the detective that very bad things happened. You think?
00:33:05
Eden & Briana
Yeah. Yeah.
Charges and Sentencing of Philip Chisholm
00:33:07
Eden & Briana
Colleen's autopsy showed that she'd been stabbed 12 times in the neck and strangled. She'd been sexually assaulted and not only by Philip himself in the bathroom, but also by a large tree branch out in the woods. oh
00:33:25
Eden & Briana
Philip claims Miss Ritzer used one of his trigger words, but to this day, no one knows what Miss Ritzer said to Philip. He also tried to claim that since the age of 10, he has been hearing voices, but the kid is full of shit.
00:33:44
Eden & Briana
Evaluations did not show any evidence for any type of schizophrenic disorder, and all of the psychiatric testing determined that he had no auditory or visual hallucinations.
00:33:58
Eden & Briana
Philip was charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, and aggravated rape. He was sentenced to life with a mandatory 25 years served before being eligible for parole.
00:34:10
Eden & Briana
He is to be held in a juvenile facility until the age of 21 and then moved to an adult facility. I truly do not think this kid will see the outside for a very, very long time.
00:34:22
Eden & Briana
True to what I believe is just a downright evil soul. He's an evil soul. Sorry ass excuse for a human. He attacked a female staff member eerily in almost the same manner that he attacked Colleen.
00:34:36
Eden & Briana
He removed his shoes so he wouldn't be heard. He stalked her to the bathroom where he crouched down and waited for her to exit. When she did come out of the bathroom, he jumped up, shoved her against the concrete wall and started choking her.
00:34:49
Eden & Briana
She was unable to yell for help until she managed to get one of his hands loosened up, but then he started punching her over and over in the face. It took co-workers, it took two co-workers to get him restrained.
00:35:04
Eden & Briana
And for this incident, he was charged with kidnapping and attempted murder and got another 20 years. And if I don't have any more, but if I'm not mistaken, I do believe that not too long ago, he tried to, you know, because because of that adult law that they came out with or whatever, he tried to get a retrial or an appeal or something.
00:35:28
Eden & Briana
What adult? Oh, you know, everybody's getting, trying to get a retrial because they were minors when they oh were convicted. And they just said that it's unconstitutional or whatever to lock minors up.
00:35:43
Eden & Briana
So, but I believe it got thrown out, rejected. So that's great. He's not going anywhere. And somebody like that, I don't, yeah, they don't need to be gone anywhere. So it makes you wonder, like,
00:35:58
Eden & Briana
He was, according to like his peers and stuff, he was so thoughtful, respectful, all things. What was the breaking point for him to unmask himself in public?
00:36:19
Eden & Briana
I don't know. That's crazy to me. Don't know, and he doesn't talk. He's mute? No, I mean, he's just not telling. Oh.
00:36:30
Eden & Briana
i Nobody even knows what what Mrs. Ritzer said. Or Miss Ritzer, sorry. hurt And he hasn't said anything to this day that I could find. So how old is he now?
00:36:43
Eden & Briana
This happened in 13. He was... He was 14. 26. 25, 24, he was fourteen twenty four five twenty six
00:36:54
Eden & Briana
Oh, you're asking me to math? I can't believe I even mathed that around mid-late 20s. Yeah, but he's got to serve another whatever before he's even eligible anyway.
00:37:08
Eden & Briana
Right? He's only served... So he could still be...
00:37:15
Eden & Briana
I don't know. Because didn't it say 20 years, served 20 years? 25. 25. Okay, so he's still in there for a hot minute. 10 more, ten at least 10 more years.
00:37:27
Eden & Briana
Right? I think so. My brain ain't mouthing. It ain't mouthing either. Nope. Crazy. Mm-hmm.
00:37:38
Eden & Briana
Thought I'd bring you back with a doozy. just makes you want, like, makes you wonder. I know.
00:37:45
Eden & Briana
oh I hope he talks one day. Because I'm sure there's a long list of people that would like to know. Oh, I'm sure. But maybe he's doing it like that's my power over you.
00:38:00
Eden & Briana
Yeah, I suppose. I didn't think of it that way. Yeah. Another dick move. Of course.
00:38:11
Eden & Briana
Way to come back. Way to come back. Right? Right, right.
00:38:20

00:39:27
Eden & Briana
