If you would like to download my FREE calendar for keeping track of your commitment to read the Bible every day, you can find that on my site, here: https://www.inthefamilywaycoaching.com/pages/read-the-bible-in-1-year

Monthly memberships to support this event can be purchased on my site, here: https://www.inthefamilywaycoaching.com/offering_packages

Today's reading will cover the books of Matthew Chapter 21:1-16, Mark Chapter 11:1-18, Luke Chapter 19:29-40, 45-48, and John Chapter 12:12-19.

Today we will read about Jesus' entry into Jerusalem as He fulfills prophecy by entering by riding on a donkey's colt. In response to seeing Jesus arrive we will see the people, both adults and children, fulfilling prophecy of praise for Him. We will read about the fulfillment of scripture when the leaders are upset with the peoples' adoration for Jesus and tell Him to tell the people to be quiet, but instead, Jesus turns the tables on them and inform them that the stones will cry out if the people stop praising Him and shouting about Him. We will see Jesus' great passion for God's worship house when He once again overturns tables in the temple square, reminding everyone that God's House is meant to be a house of prayer FOR ALL PEOPLE, not a den for robbers.

In our discussion for daily application we will talk about "the big picture" of God's Scripture in today's reading. Today we see that Jesus fulfilled several scriptures of the Old Covenant JUST IN TODAY'S READING. What does this mean for us and how does it apply to our daily application? Christianity is not meant to be a separate religion. Jesus came to fulfill the law, not abolish it. We cannot have a New Covenant without the Old Covenant. Our adversary wants to cause division in the spiritual family. We need to remember that we are ALL CONNECTED and are part of ONE SPIRITUAL BODY, not many little ones. We have God's Holy Spirit in us. WE HAVE THE KINGDOM OF GOD WITHIN US. God's Spirit is in us; We live in Jesus; Jesus lives in us, therefore YOU AND I ARE CONNECTED TO ONE ANOTHER SPIRITUALLY. Our battles are all spiritual battles trying to be forced into the physical world by our adversary. We need to recognize the signs and remember that we are not slaves to our sin. We do not have to continue in any behavior that is separating us or causing division between believers. We need to remember that the Son has set us free from our sin and therefore, if the Son has set us free, WE ARE FREE INDEED. Let's not let the adversary lead us into sin by being divided against our fellow spiritual brothers and sisters. A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF CANNOT STAND. We need to both recognize the signs and choose not to allow the adversary to tempt us into making a spiritual battle into a physical battle. WE ARE ONE IN THE BODY OF JESUS! Let's act like it and be intentional in being unified with people in our relationships, whether at work, at home, or out and about in the world with our neighbor.

Introduction and Daily Reading

00:00:03
Speaker
Hey everybody, welcome to the daily reading for September 22nd out of the Day by Day Kids Bible written by Karen Henley. My name is Robin.
00:00:13
Speaker
i am within the Family Way Coaching and I am so glad that you are here joining me for today's reading.
00:00:21
Speaker
We are going to take out our bookmarking commitment calendars and get ready to mark that off so we know where we've been listening, so we know where to pick up again. And we're going to mark that day off today because we are about to hear the Bible.

Rosh Hashanah and New Year Blessings

00:00:38
Speaker
I also want to wish everybody a very happy new year! Today is the very first day, it is the new year of the biblical calendar. I like to call it the biblical calendar versus just the Jewish calendar because I feel like that's a little bit more accurate.
00:00:55
Speaker
If we're not Jewish but we are still looking out for those days that are part of the biblical holy days, then we want to kind of call it the biblical calendar, I think. That's to me, that's a little more unifying.
00:01:08
Speaker
So Happy New Year. That is also known as Rosh Hashanah. And today, i forget what year it is. It's like 5500 something. Let's see.
00:01:19
Speaker
What day did Mickey, what year did Mickey tell me it was? Hey, Mickey, shout out for you. Thank you for wishing me Happy New Year today. rosh Hashanah, 5786. So this is year 5786 in the biblical calendar. so this is the year fifty seven eighty six in the biblical calendar So happy new year, everybody.
00:01:38
Speaker
Tomorrow we will be celebrating the feast of the shofar, the blasting of the shofar. And I'm going to try to have a shofar recording that I'm going to try and find so that I can blow the shofar for us in tomorrow's reading.
00:01:56
Speaker
So let's open with a blessing today. I feel like this is very appropriate. I don't know about you, but God has just been amazing for me this week.
00:02:10
Speaker
And if you are a regular attender and you watch regularly, you may be saying, what happened? She didn't get this posted on the right time or the right day. And no, I didn't. It is almost 1 a.m. m But I am still up and I'm still getting this done.
00:02:27
Speaker
I have been reading and I just have had the most incredible past two days. It has been so full and so busy that I have been up very late to try to get my recordings done ah so that we can get them out.
00:02:43
Speaker
But I didn't make it on the day. But I did not go to bed without getting it done. So my day is not yet over. So I just, God has been so amazing.
00:02:54
Speaker
And I just want to let you know that I am just so thankful for all God is doing. God both ended the new year the old year and started the new one in incredible ways for me. He has just been providing for my family this year.

Upcoming Festivals and Thankfulness

00:03:11
Speaker
in just incredible ways and I am just so grateful so thankful and I am just in awe of our gracious God and how he is providing for me so I just want to share that so thank you for sharing in my joy as i am so thankful and grateful for the many ways that our God is providing for us we are and now fall which is harvest time So this is the time of the year.
00:03:43
Speaker
ah We have a lot of Moadim going on here, appointed times. We have the Feast of ah that Blowing the Shafar, which is tomorrow. We have the Day of Atonement coming up.
00:03:56
Speaker
We have Sukkah coming up, which is the Feast of Tabernacles or the Feast of Tents. And we we just, we have a lot to be thankful for.
00:04:07
Speaker
We tend to call this time of the year, it's our fall as well. And we tend to call this our yeah our time of the year of Thanksgiving. And I just, I really want to encourage us to be full of thanks.
00:04:20
Speaker
for our Lord and his many provisions throughout this past year ah that we have had, because I know I'm not the only one that he is providing for. So I know that you have a lot to be thankful for.
00:04:33
Speaker
And I just really want to encourage you to be thankful for these things that our Lord is providing for us and for the ways that he is active in our lives every single day, especially as we are in these situations ah festival times for all of these things happening right at about the same time.
00:04:51
Speaker
We are two weeks away from the Feast of Tabernacles, also called Sukkah, because that is what the ah the tents are called, is a sukkah in Hebrew.

Significance of Yeshua and Messiah Blessing

00:05:01
Speaker
It looks like Sukkot, S-U-K-K-O-T, but it's actually pronounced a sukkah.
00:05:08
Speaker
Not a sukkah, just it's pronounced sukkah. And then the tents are called a sukkah. So I wanted to open with a blessing today.
00:05:20
Speaker
It seems very appropriate to begin our brand new biblical year with a blessing. There is a type of ah blessing for just about everything and in Judaism.
00:05:33
Speaker
And i love it. We take um what we would look at as kind of communion, but really it's the blessing for the bread and the fruit of the vine on Shabbat when we have services.
00:05:46
Speaker
And so I'm familiar with some of the blessings. But I use the Tree of Life Bible app, and they have and a lot of other blessings listed that I was unaware of.
00:05:57
Speaker
And there is a blessing of Messiah Yeshua. Now, you may not have heard the name Yeshua before, but that is actually the Hebrew word for Jesus. Jesus is the Greek translation for Yeshua.
00:06:11
Speaker
So it's actually encouraged that if you are speaking with a Jewish ah person who is not yet familiar or is a believer in in our Messiah, that just to be ah unified, that ah that we use the native language and we refer to him as Yeshua.
00:06:30
Speaker
And they don't say Jesus Christ because ah Christ is is Greek Christos, Christos. um And that means the the Messiah. So, ah or means salvation.
00:06:44
Speaker
So, Messiah means salvation. So, but they they just use the Hebrew. Instead of saying Jesus Christ, he is called yes ah Messiah Yeshua. Or Yeshua the Messiah.
00:06:55
Speaker
Yeshua Messiah. So, this is called the blessing of Messiah Yeshua. And you may have heard me do a similar blessing every time we did the daily reading for Shavuot, where we said, Blessed are you, O Lord, our God, ruler of the universe, who commands us to count the Omer.
00:07:16
Speaker
um my oh mayor And then we would say today is the such and such day of the such and such week and say, I have counted the Omer. And for this blessing, this is how it goes. It's very similar.
00:07:29
Speaker
It always has the same beginning. And then there's the blessing for what we are blessing. So today's blessing is the blessing of Messiah Yeshua.
00:07:42
Speaker
Blessed are you. Adonai, our God, King of the universe, who has given us the word of life, Messiah Yeshua. And that's it.
00:07:57
Speaker
And then I think we will end on a blessing as well. I have one that I found in the app, and I really like it. And it just seems very appropriate.
00:08:11
Speaker
and And it just seems very appropriate. So I will be sharing that as well, if I remember at the end. It is my intent to do it. So I hope I remember. So we are going to get into our reading for the day.
00:08:27
Speaker
i need to pause this for just a moment.
00:08:32
Speaker
My Scooby was squeak, squeak, squeaking. He wanted to leave the room. He was squeak, squeak, squeaking to get in as I was getting ready to start. And then he was squeak, squeak, squeaking to get out and go back to bed. And I thought, I can't listen to you squeak, squeak, squeaking the whole time.
00:08:49
Speaker
Alright, so we are going to start with our reading, and we are picking up that, remember, as we left yesterday's reading, remember there is a lot going on in our readings, but it is actually taking place over a very short period of time.
00:09:06
Speaker
We have two weeks of reading, and ah it's one week of time. It's actually less than one week of time. So this is the time that's leading up to Passover,
00:09:22
Speaker
So we are picking up where Jesus is traveling and he's traveling to Jerusalem, remember?

Prophecy Fulfilled: Jesus Enters Jerusalem

00:09:29
Speaker
And now Jesus, as he's traveling, he came to Olive Mountain.
00:09:34
Speaker
And Jesus asked two of his special helpers, his friends, to go do something. He asked them to go into the next town. You will see a donkey and her colt just as you go into town.
00:09:50
Speaker
And nobody has ever ridden the colt before, said Jesus. It will be tied up there. You are to untie it and bring it to me, and someone might ask you what you are doing.
00:10:02
Speaker
Just tell them that the Lord needs it. So Jesus' two friends went to town, and they found the colt. And it was in the street, tied by a door.
00:10:13
Speaker
So they untied it. Now some people were standing there and they were watching. And they said, what are you doing? Why are you untying that colt? And Jesus' friends told them just what Jesus had said to tell them.
00:10:28
Speaker
Then the people let him take let them take the colt. Now Jesus' friends took the colt to Jesus and they put their coats on the little donkey's back.
00:10:39
Speaker
And then Jesus got on it. Off they went down the road. And that made the words of the prophet Zechariah come true.
00:10:51
Speaker
He wrote to Jerusalem. See, your king is coming to you. He is kind and good. He rides on a donkey.
00:11:03
Speaker
It's a colt, a donkey's baby.
00:11:08
Speaker
I don't know about you, but that always makes me laugh a little. Here, Jesus was full-grown man, but he's riding on a baby donkey. And I think donkeys are much smaller than horses.
00:11:18
Speaker
And so I just keep thinking of him like what it would look like a full-grown man on a pony's back. It just, and that always makes me giggle a little bit. So Jesus's friends did not understand why he wanted a colt.
00:11:34
Speaker
they understood later, after Jesus died and came back to life again. And then they knew that the prophet had written about him. And they saw that they had helped these words come true.
00:11:49
Speaker
Can you imagine how connected they would have felt to scripture once they realized that they were a part of the fulfillment of prophecy written about ages ago?
00:12:02
Speaker
Man, that must have been really amazing to experience. Lots of people were in Jerusalem for the Passover holiday. They had heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem as well.
00:12:15
Speaker
So they got big branches from palm trees, and then they went to meet Jesus. "'God save us!' the people shouted. "'May good things come to the King of God's people! "'May good things come!' He is coming into the Lord's, he is coming in the Lord's name.
00:12:36
Speaker
And they began to follow him. Now some of the leaders of God's people were in the crowd. And they said to Jesus, tell your followers to be quiet. If they are quiet, the stones will shout, said Jesus.
00:12:55
Speaker
This was also a fulfillment of prophecy. It was written about in the Old Covenant.
00:13:02
Speaker
Now Jesus went into Jerusalem and everybody in the city was talking about him. Who is this? They asked. This is Jesus, said the people who had followed him.
00:13:17
Speaker
He is the prophet from Nazareth. Now people told how Lazarus had come back to life. That's called being a witness. And lots of people who heard about it went to see Jesus.
00:13:32
Speaker
Look how everybody in the world is following him. This isn't getting us anywhere, said the Jewish leaders. And Jesus went to the worship house.
00:13:44
Speaker
He looked around, but it was late. So Jesus and his 12 good friends went back to Bethany and they spent the night there. The next day they headed for Jerusalem again.
00:13:57
Speaker
Jesus was hungry. he saw a fig tree ahead. It had leaves on it. So Jesus went to see if it had any fruit.
00:14:08
Speaker
But when he got there, he found only leaves. And it wasn't the season took for figs to grow just yet. But Jesus spoke to the tree. No one will ever get fruit from you again, he said.
00:14:23
Speaker
And Jesus' good friends heard him say this.
00:14:29
Speaker
We are going to read more about what happened about that fig tree tomorrow. I was tempted to put it in today's reading, but it's actually part of tomorrow's reading.
00:14:42
Speaker
So when he got to Jerusalem, Jesus went to the worship house and people were buying and selling animals there.

Jesus Cleanses the Temple

00:14:49
Speaker
Others were trading money that people brought from different places.
00:14:55
Speaker
And they traded it for money that people could use to buy things.
00:15:01
Speaker
Jesus started chasing those people out. He turned over the tables. That's where men traded money from other places for money that people could use. And Jesus turned over the seats of the people selling doves.
00:15:16
Speaker
He wouldn't even let people carry things across the yard at the worship house. My home is supposed to be a house of prayer. It's a house of prayer for all people, said Jesus.
00:15:31
Speaker
But you have turned it into a hiding place for robbers.
00:15:37
Speaker
and The leaders at the worship house heard this. They wanted to kill Jesus, but they were afraid of him.
00:15:47
Speaker
But there were crowds of people around Jesus and people were listening to what he said. How about you? Are you listening? People who couldn't see Jesus came to yeah people who couldn't see came to Jesus at the worship house and people who couldn't walk came and Jesus made them well.
00:16:11
Speaker
And so it was hard for the leaders to catch Jesus. Now the leaders saw the wonderful things that Jesus was doing, and they saw the children shouting, Cheer for the king!
00:16:24
Speaker
cried the children. Can you say that, Diamond and Jedi and Forest and Pearl? Cheer for the king!
00:16:34
Speaker
Good job. Thank you. The worship house leaders were upset. They talked to Jesus about it. Do you hear what these children are saying? they said.
00:16:46
Speaker
Yes, said Jesus. And haven't you read from the Psalm? It says that God planned for children and babies to praise him.
00:16:59
Speaker
And that is the end of our reading today.
00:17:05
Speaker
Wow. That was exciting, don't you think? Oh, I can't believe, I feel like feel like it's a soap opera right now because the story is just drug out so long, but there is so much information in every day.
00:17:19
Speaker
i just, I feel like it's just, it's just going so slowly sometimes, but yet so fast at the same time. Such a paradox there. ah Well, we see in today's reading, we're not going to talk about specifically one particular thing.
00:17:37
Speaker
We're going to look at all of our big picture. Remember, sometimes it's it's best to look at the whole picture to see what is everything showing us. What do they all have in common?
00:17:51
Speaker
And what we are seeing today is Jesus fulfilling scripture. We see Jesus fulfilling scripture when he entered the town riding on a baby donkey, a colt.
00:18:05
Speaker
And we see scripture being fulfilled when the people were shouting and the the followers ah were shouting and the leaders said,
00:18:19
Speaker
Tell your followers to be quiet. And Jesus responded with with scripture. He said, if they are quiet, the stones will shout.
00:18:31
Speaker
Then, and which is actually, I don't remember where exactly that's written. i don't have that handy, but I looked it up. And I think that's out of like Isaiah or Micah. And then we have Jesus saying,
00:18:47
Speaker
overturning the tables. And when he did so, he said, my house is supposed to be a house of prayer. It is a house of prayer for all people.
00:19:00
Speaker
And he said, but you have turned it into a hiding place for robbers. And this was written, I think, in Zechariah as well. So Jesus is fulfilling the scripture.
00:19:11
Speaker
He is what we call zealous. He feels very passionate about God's worship house. And hes he sees that it is not being treated correctly.
00:19:23
Speaker
And this is the same thing that that had been written about. And so this was all being fulfilled. And i want to point out that this is where God had also prophesied that Jesus' salvation would be for all people, and that included the Gentiles.
00:19:44
Speaker
Remember, there are not a whole lot of people. There are the people who don't believe in any God, and they are considered pagan. Then there are the people who followed the old covenant and they were Hebrew or Jewish.
00:19:58
Speaker
And then we have the Gentiles, which were ah believers who were not Jewish. So we are Gentiles and we believe in the Messiah.
00:20:13
Speaker
We are Gentile believers in the Messiah.

Unity Among Believers

00:20:16
Speaker
We're not Gentile believers in just the old covenant. And that's why we're a little bit more specific. And so ah we would say we are Gentile believers in the Messiah.
00:20:28
Speaker
Because you can be a Gentile and still follow Judaism and not be Jewish. So yeah God told us that his house would be a prayer house, ah a house of prayer for all people They mention this often where I attend at the synagogue or the congregation is that the rabbi, he confirms and he is he is ah affirms for everybody.
00:20:59
Speaker
He says, this is a house of prayer for all people. And he always says, there are no second class citizens here. He says, we are all part of the one family.
00:21:14
Speaker
And it is so important nice to be part of one family, not a segregated group of many, but to be considered part of God's one fold of sheep.
00:21:29
Speaker
And we have one more before I talk more about that. The last thing that we see is when Jesus told the leaders that Or he asked them rather. He says, haven't you read from the psalm?
00:21:42
Speaker
It says that God planned for children and babies to to praise him. So that's exactly what is happening. And so Jesus is fulfilling the prophecies.
00:21:55
Speaker
So why are all of these fulfillments important in our daily application today for our lives today? Well, it has to do with what I was talking about a moment ago, and that's that we are unified.
00:22:10
Speaker
We are all part of one tree of life, one family tree. but I've got my family tree here behind me, and that is why i i liked the name In the Family Way Coaching, is that we are all part of one family.
00:22:30
Speaker
We are all part of the body of Jesus Christ. We are all part of God's sheep pen. One pen with one shepherd.
00:22:41
Speaker
Not a bunch of pens, all separate. Judaism and Christianity... are not two separate things. Christianity is not a separate religion.
00:22:55
Speaker
You cannot have Christianity without Judaism. And so I want us to just get rid of that title and start calling us Gentile believers in the Messiah, because it is, it was never meant to be a separate religion.
00:23:14
Speaker
It was meant to be that Jesus came to fulfill the law, not to abolish it. So if you think that because you are a Christian, you are not ah it's not important for you to follow God's appointed times by observing his festivals, you would be incorrect.
00:23:34
Speaker
Because these are things that you cannot have Christianity without understanding the Judaism. This is the fulfillment. Jesus is our Messiah.
00:23:45
Speaker
He is the one that was prophesied about clear back from the time of Moses, when Moses said that God would send somebody to save us. He would raise up a prophet among us.
00:23:58
Speaker
We are one family tree. We have been grafted in as a wild olive branch, as as our rabbi tells us. So whether you are a natural born part of the tree or whether you are grafted in wild branch, we as Gentiles are the grafted in wild branch.
00:24:20
Speaker
and But we are grafted in to one vine. Jesus is the vine where he is the true branch from the root that sprung up from David.
00:24:35
Speaker
And so our daily application today is to be unified. Everybody, we don't realize how connected we are to one another.
00:24:47
Speaker
We are one with God, which means we are also one together. We are one with each other. If God's Holy Spirit is in you and God's Holy Spirit is in me,
00:25:02
Speaker
then we all together have God's spirit, which means we are part of God. And that means that we are part with one another. We are connected.
00:25:14
Speaker
We are connected together and in a deeper way than what we realize. And our enemy, he knows that. The adversary knows that.
00:25:25
Speaker
And he tries to cause division. And he causes division first but in in a spiritual way, which causes us to have physical division.
00:25:36
Speaker
We will learn later on in our new covenant here in the letters that our battle is not one a flesh. It's not one ah of the physical nature.
00:25:47
Speaker
It is a spiritual battle. Every single thing is a spiritual battle. I promise you it really is. And our adversary takes the spiritual battle into the physical world.
00:26:03
Speaker
And that's why we have things even as far back as the very first brothers with Cain and Abel, where one killed the other. Cain killed Abel.
00:26:15
Speaker
He took that spiritual battle. his his jealousy, and he he took it into the physical world until he finally killed his brother.
00:26:28
Speaker
We need to stop trying to kill one another. We are all part of one another, and our enemy knows this. And that is why he tries so hard to make sure that there is division in the family.
00:26:44
Speaker
a house divided against itself cannot stand, Jesus told us. Our house needs to be unified. This daily application is one ah very great importance.
00:26:57
Speaker
We need to view one another in our daily lives as being part of our family, someone that we need to be unified with. I was thinking about this today.
00:27:11
Speaker
And I mentioned this ages ago in our daily reading, but I haven't mentioned it in a while. So sometimes you will meet someone, whether at work or just in life, and you will just be irritated with them.
00:27:26
Speaker
You just, whatever it is, you just don't like them. You can't put your finger on it. You just know that they rub you the wrong way. There's something about them you don't like, or maybe you can see why you don't like these people.
00:27:39
Speaker
But you know what I have found? Remember, Jesus tells us to recognize the signs of the times. So this is the same principle. It's not a sign of the time.
00:27:50
Speaker
It's a symptom of a bigger spiritual battle, a symptom of a bigger spiritual problem going on. And that's because what I have found is that whenever there has been anyone that I have been just particularly annoyed with from the very beginning, and it doesn't seem like anything they can do,
00:28:11
Speaker
is is is just simply not annoying. And I just decide, oh, i just don't like that person. That's not very godly. that there's When we do that, there's a lot of judgment involved.
00:28:23
Speaker
I don't like the way they do this. They're doing that. They're doing this like this. They're not doing it like this. They should be doing it like that. And those are all judgments. That is the adversary.
00:28:36
Speaker
We need to recognize that.
00:28:40
Speaker
And I have found that every time there has been somebody where I was like that with them, it turns out that they are part of my spiritual family already.
00:28:52
Speaker
They're already a believer. Now, I didn't know it, but our adversary, he knows it. And he wants to keep us apart because he knows what happens when we come together.
00:29:04
Speaker
When two or more are gathered, Jesus is there in our midst. He is there. And I'm convinced he is here, whether we are specifically praying or not.
00:29:17
Speaker
We bring with us the kingdom of God. We learned that recently. God's kingdom is not something you can say, oh, it's over there. Oh, it's over here. That means it's not with that church. It's not simply with that group.

God's kingdom is within us. And together, we are God's kingdom. And the adversary knows this. So we need to be aware of all of these things because we are fighting a spiritual battle that he wants to keep us apart.

Spiritual Connection and Adversity

00:29:50
Speaker
And we need to not be separated because a house divided against itself cannot stand. So we need to recognize those signs and then we can open up in conversation with that person and say, do you have a background in faith?
00:30:04
Speaker
Or you might see that they are wearing a cross or something that identifies them that you can see. Maybe they have a tattoo. Nowadays, I actually see a lot of people with tattoos of like a cross on their fingers or something, a tattoo on their arm.
00:30:18
Speaker
Now that we are more visual with our tattoos in society. and And if I see something, that gives me the idea that this person has faith in God, then I know like immediately what it was, why i was annoyed with this person. And that's because the adversary was putting it into here. Because remember, everything starts in the mind.
00:30:43
Speaker
We start entertaining these thoughts. And whatever we are looking for, we will find. So let us deliberately look for unification.
00:30:55
Speaker
Our God is a God of reconciliation. We need to be strong together, not separated, because a house divided against itself cannot stand.
00:31:08
Speaker
We are one. We are one in the Father. We are one in Jesus. We are one in the Holy Spirit and you and me. We are one.
00:31:22
Speaker
So I hope that you feel that today's daily application has just really lit your light, opened your eyes, opened your ears to make you aware of those spiritual battles that our adversary is trying to have with us.
00:31:37
Speaker
And I'm convinced that they will become more and more because Jesus will tell us that the as we get toward the end times, that the love of most, not some, not many, but most will grow cold.
00:31:49
Speaker
So those of us must persevere. Those of us with God's love must persevere. And we must fight that battle, that spiritual battle that wants to become a physical battle where we are just fighting with one another.
00:32:07
Speaker
We need to become one because we are one. We are already one. And also, we have won because Jesus won. He has won over death.
00:32:19
Speaker
He has won over sin. He has set us free. And if the Son has set us free, we are free indeed.
00:32:30
Speaker
That means we don't have to be a slave to the sin that we are tempted to follow when we are feeling adversarial or confrontational with people. No matter who it is, it doesn't have to be with somebody that we're not familiar with, that we just have irritation with.
00:32:46
Speaker
This can be in our families, with our children, with one another as brothers and sisters, with our spouses, with our next door neighbors, with everybody.
00:32:59
Speaker
When we feel that urge to be confrontational, we do not have to be confrontational. our Our physical body may want to, but that is the adversary trying to turn a spiritual battle into a physical one.
00:33:14
Speaker
Let us be aware of that and remember to back it up and recognize the signs. There is always a spiritual battle going on. Think about it and try and ask God to show you what spiritual battle is going on.
00:33:29
Speaker
It's always of a spiritual nature and he is trying to draw it into the physical world because that is what causes physical division.
00:33:39
Speaker
Well, once he starts getting spiritual division, let's not let him have that. Remember, we are on the winning side. We are already won. And we have won.

Conclusion and Call to Reconciliation

00:33:53
Speaker
So thank you for joining me today. i hope that you feel that God has lit your light. And we have a blessing for that. That is the blessing that I was going to read today.
00:34:06
Speaker

00:34:19
Speaker
Now, you know that every day, for the most part, I ask you that if you feel that God has lit your light, to click that light button. And it looks like a heart. It looks like a thumbs up.
00:34:30
Speaker
It could be a share, ah subscribe, a follow, whatever it looks like that you feel God calling to you. That is our light because we are the light of the world.
00:34:42
Speaker
And we are trying to spread the word about reading God's word. We want to spread his message of love, of salvation, of unity in him
00:34:54
Speaker
And this is the prayer, the blessing that is given at the beginning of every Shabbat, every Sabbath, as there is a candle lighting ceremony. And there are many prayers that that go along. And I shouldn't many, but there are several prayers or blessings that go along with with the welcoming of the Shabbat, the Sabbath.
00:35:16
Speaker
And here we are. It says, Blessed are you, Adonai, our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with his word and has given us Yeshua, our Messiah, and commanded us to be a light to the world.
00:35:37
Speaker
actually a blessing. We are commanded to be a light to the world. So it's not just whether you want to, it's that we need to obey. We are a light to the world.
00:35:50
Speaker
And part of that light is to be unified in one. So thank you for joining me today. i hope that you are feeling very lit today, that you are just bright with joy, that you feel the Holy Spirit reconciling you to somebody who is on your heart, who has been bothering you or irritating you, whether it is your husband, your wife, your children, um your neighbor, your coworker.
