Whether you are familiar with the Gene Keys or not, whether you have Gene Key 28 in your Hologenetic profile or not, this episode is super helpful to ANY SOUL on the Purpose path. If you struggle with embracing your shadows, if you struggle from time to time of feeling like your Purpose is so far away, far out of reach, taking too long, unattainable, etc.

In this week's episode I explore Gene Key 28: Embracing the Dark Side.

We often talk about the Purpose path but what does Purposelessness look like? I explore:

  • what it looks and feels like to be in the frequency of Purposelessness
  • the Repressive and Reactive shadows of Hollow and Gambling
  • what it looks and feels like to be in the Gift frequency of Totality
  • how we can move from Purposelessness to fully embracing our Purpose
  • the sacred formula to living our Purpose

Introduction to Spirituality and Personal Growth

00:00:01
Speaker
Hello, my friend. Welcome to the It's Happening For Me podcast. If you are obsessed with all things spirituality, personal growth and development, and living as your highest self, you are in the right place. I am your host, Alyssa, and I spent the majority of my teenage years and young 20s living totally out of climate. As I started to question my patterns and behaviors and actually got to know myself at the soul level, I realized that everything was happening for me.
00:00:30
Speaker
Now, as a spiritual life coach and human design guide, I am here to share my voice, personal stories, human design wisdom, and learn from incredible individuals living their purpose. Join me each week as we walk the spiral path of purpose together.

Exploring the Shadow of Purposelessness

00:00:47
Speaker
I cannot wait to dive in.
00:00:54
Speaker
Hello, hello. Welcome to the It's Happening for Me podcast. I'm your host, Alyssa, and I'm so happy that you are here today. So today, I'm super excited to talk about a super juicy topic. You know, on the spiritual path, on the soul purpose path, we have this idea of what it means to be living our purpose.
00:01:15
Speaker
But I really want to dive in today and just dissect what does it mean to feel purposeless. So purposelessness is the shadow frequency of the 28th gene key. So we're really going to dive into that today. And that GQ's name is embracing the dark side.
00:01:37
Speaker
So I think it's super important on this path to just understand what it means to feel purposeless and really see that there's actually a very clear pathway to transmute this into the gift, what is called totality. And we are going to be diving into all of that, like what these words mean. And I think it's just going to give you a lot of comfort, a lot of clarity and just like guidance on the sole purpose path.
00:02:05
Speaker
So for those days where you feel like
00:02:09
Speaker
nothing's working out or like what is the point or things aren't happening fast enough or you're really projecting your your purpose into the future and you know you're like okay i'll be happy and i'll feel successful when i get here or once this happens then i'll know that i'm living my purpose or that i'm successful it's like we really tend to project out our purpose and it can tend to leave us either
00:02:37
Speaker
freezing, like feeling paralyzed and not taking any action. It can leave us feeling confused. It can lead us to taking so much action, like unnecessary action that kind of just throws us more off course on our purpose path, or it just leads to burnout and doesn't really give us
00:02:58
Speaker
quote, unquote results. And we're going to talk about all of this. And I think that it's going to just make you feel a lot better to really see this through the Jane Keys perspective based on this like ancient, ancient wisdom.
00:03:13
Speaker
um like sacred ancient wisdom and yeah so what really led me to this topic is I my mom sent me this real not a real I think it was alive on instagram um on monday and it was basically the woman was talking um all about spirituality and how like it's really important that we don't bypass our dark sides that we really learn how to
00:03:41
Speaker
look at our fears and look at our inadequacies and really learn how to transmute them and accept them instead of just like avoiding them. And so that's kind of like what spiritual bypassing is. It's where we're kind of like, oh, I only want to look at the light and I don't want to look at the dark or I don't want to acknowledge that.
00:03:59
Speaker
And what we learn through this gene key that we're going to talk about today is that the only way that we can really live our purpose and be fully alive is from embracing our dark side and not turning away from it, but rather facing it and really learning how to integrate it into our life. And that just creates such a more dynamic,
00:04:26
Speaker
beautiful, juicy life. It's the people who have been through some shit that are very transparent that they just feel a little more trustworthy.

Embracing Change and Growth

00:04:37
Speaker
I don't know if you get that, but I really get that. I just relate more to people who have been through some things and have been able to go to the depths of that, go to the depths of the fear of the
00:04:49
Speaker
lack of the shame, guilt, and really come out on the other side or even still be in the process of working through that instead of avoiding that or never allowing yourself to access
00:05:03
Speaker
those kind of darker emotions and experiences. So my mom sent me that video. So I was like, okay, interesting. Noted, you know? And then I started seeing crows everywhere. So I took Peanut on a walk and there was this really funny crow in the middle of the street and he was just like eating
00:05:22
Speaker
a cracker or something that was on the floor, but it was very unusual. I've never seen such a huge crow and I've never seen one trying to eat something off of the floor. So I was like, oh, interesting, a crow. Okay. And then I was driving this week and I was driving through my neighborhood and there was this huge massive crow on the back of this pickup
00:05:43
Speaker
And he was trying to break into the car with his beak. He was trying to break into the back of the car through the back window of the cab. And I was like, what the hell? I've never seen a crow do that. That's so interesting. And then, you guys, this is the third time a crow came to me. I saw this reel on Instagram where it was like, oh, you've probably never known how intelligent crows are until now. And then it basically showed this guy saving a crow from
00:06:13
Speaker
the ocean or like a lake. It was like a crow that was just like floating on the water. He saved him and then he started like training him. And this crow was able to like become friends with this cat and dog and like eat food, like human food and like solve puzzles. Like he was so intelligent. And I was like, whoa, I've never seen a crow, you know, be trained by a human and be so intelligent. So I was like, okay, that's the third time I'm seeing a crow. I got it universe. I got a spirit. Let me look up what genki is related to the crow and let's see.
00:06:42
Speaker
And it's so funny because, um, I was kind of unsure of what topic I really wanted to dive into this week until I got that third hit of the crow, like literally today. And I was like, okay, like I have to look this up. And then I was, um, contemplating the gene key, which is related to the crow.
00:06:58
Speaker
And that is Jean Key 28, which is embracing the dark side. And so that is the shadow of purposelessness. It is the gift of totality and it is the city of immortality. And so for this conversation, you do not need to know anything about Jean Keys. You don't need to know anything about those terms. I just said, um, if you do under like, have a basic understanding of Jean Keys, if you know what your Jean Keys are,
00:07:25
Speaker
Um, if you have the 20th jinky, this will be super juicy because you can really like think about yourself and your life in whatever sphere that that jinky happens to be in and see like, how does this resonate with you? And if you don't have the 20th jinky, this also will still hit home and resonate with you because we have these, um,
00:07:46
Speaker
Like we have these genetic codes inside of us. Each of us have all of them. It's just if you don't have it in your hologenetic profile, it's just not super predominant of like a reoccurring theme that you're going to see a lot in your life. But you absolutely, I'm sure, can relate to this as we can all relate to the feeling of purposelessness.
00:08:07
Speaker
And then another kind of way that this has really showed up for me and been reflected to me is, as you guys know, last week I talked about in the episode about how I was fired for the first time ever in my life from a job and that was from my own boyfriend. So George had fired me from
00:08:26
Speaker
working with him at the sunset market. And so I talk about that all in the episode if you ever want to go and listen, but it's honestly improved our relationship you guys like 1000%. It's opened up like new like ways of being and new things that we've never seen before. I also talked about in the last episode how he, George had like this new big business venture that he is like expanding. And so yeah, he was able to
00:08:55
Speaker
He's been working on it for a couple months to open up a kiosk at a mall that we have here in San Diego, and it's one that he's been trying to get into for a couple years.
00:09:05
Speaker
and they always told him no but he just like never gave up and was really persistent and he ended up getting it you guys and so for the past couple of months that's what he's really been working on like the measurements like getting the cart wrapped like getting everything prepared figuring out exactly what merchandise he wants to sell there um we've been hiring people so that's where you know i was fired from the sunset market of like the
00:09:29
Speaker
helping him at the booth but I'm still obviously helping him in other ways at the in other ways in the business and I'm saying firing like lightly it's like I was getting paid to work for him but obviously I'm still his girlfriend so
00:09:44
Speaker
If you just listen to the episode, you'll see how it got really confusing. Um, but yeah, so I've been like his recruiter and his like HR team member, which has been super fun for me because I've been able to use my skills and my gifts to really get the best team members. And so it opened on Friday was his first day and he's been training them. So he trained them Saturday and today is the second day of training.
00:10:05
Speaker
They're literally like chef's kiss, the best team members we could have gotten. He said, they're just like doing so good. And it's so funny because it's like, Alyssa, they're literally like the opposite of you. Like they listen to everything I say. They don't give me any attitude. Like they're so good. And I'm just like, Oh my God, like good. That's so awesome. You know? Um, and so that you guys really made me look at a shadow aspect of myself and a darker aspect of myself because
00:10:34
Speaker
I have this thing where like, I feel like I've been, I'm literally like the best employee ever to like all my other jobs and bosses. I've never been fired before. I always like move up the ladder and, you know, with gene key 54 as my life's work, which is like aspiration. It's like, I'm always, um, moving up the ladder essentially. And so,
00:11:00
Speaker
to really see that like, oh my God, like I'm so, yeah, I am great at what I do in certain parts of my life, but then there's a certain aspect of my life where I wasn't that great at what I did and I was like not really taking it seriously. And that was hard to look at, but it's actually helped me so much in acknowledging that and seeing like, oh yeah, it's better that I'm not trying to like hold onto this and like,
00:11:26
Speaker
There was a fear of mine of like, oh, if I stop working for him at the actual market or say even at this kiosk, then I'm not really going to be a part of it anymore.

The Role of Gene Keys in Understanding Purpose

00:11:34
Speaker
And it's more just like his business, even though a hundred percent is his business. But it's like I kind of felt like I was going to get left behind. So I was making myself hold on to something that I just was not happy in. Like I was like.
00:11:46
Speaker
obviously not happy. I didn't want to be there. I was already so tired from working the full day. And then going and doing that was just stressful. I was tired. I wasn't even in the best customer service vibes. And so now he's gotten people that are really good and they're obsessed with anime. That's another thing. I don't know anything about anime. So I only know what I've learned over the last couple of years. So I can help people. But
00:12:11
Speaker
It's different when someone's obsessed and passionate about anime because they become like the best salesman in the world because they just freaking love this stuff. So that's what we got from these two guys. They're so incredible. And yeah, just like looking at that and seeing like, oh, this was actually the best thing that could have happened for our relationship and for his business was to let me go from that. Um, and then I've had so much room open up because now on the weekends, um,
00:12:39
Speaker
George is there at the mall, it might be just temporarily like he might he might eventually switch them to working on the weekends but those are like the highest sales days and he's an incredible salesman so he really wants to like kind of take that over for a while.
00:12:54
Speaker
So I have now the weekends opened up. And so now I realize like, Oh my God, I haven't really been doing that much in my business. Like I thought I was, but now that I have all of this free time on the weekends, literally I'm alone for like 11 hours a day. I have so much freedom and time space opened up so that I can work on my business and really pour into like my passions and what I love to do instead of.
00:13:16
Speaker
You know, it was like, it took me looking at that darker aspect of myself of like, why don't I want to let this go? And instead of trying to hold onto something or even try to say like, Oh, I can work there on the weekends. It's like, no, I don't want to do that. You know what I mean? So anyways, that was just a little update from the last week. I'm super excited for him. And let's get into this episode all about purposelessness and how we can transmute it into the gift of totality. And I'll explain to you exactly what that means.
00:13:46
Speaker
Okay, so we're looking at Jean Key 28, which is called Embracing the Dark Side. Also, you guys, I have notes and I'm going to kind of be like integrating examples and kind of expanding on things. I do have notes that I took directly from the Jean Key's book from Richard Redd, so it's Embracing Your Higher Purpose. It's the blue book.
00:14:07
Speaker
So I just want to like notate exactly where I'm getting this information from. But the languaging can tend to be a little bit like very poetic and beautiful and like so rich.
00:14:20
Speaker
But sometimes it's a little confusing to understand if we want like a practical understanding of it. So I'm just going to be kind of going through everything and then putting my own words to it and giving you guys examples of what this means. So when we're looking at Genki 28, first of all, it is Scorpio energy. So it's very intense. It's honest, but secretive. It's passionate. It's deep. It's like the dark side. It's mystical.
00:14:44
Speaker
So if you have any Scorpio energy, um, in your astrology, really kind of look at this, what I'm about to talk to you about through that lens of like, okay, this is Scorpio energy. Um, this is also this gene key and Gates in human design is in the splenic center. So the splenic center is all about instincts, survival, intuition, and really knowing like what is healthy for us. Okay. And as you're going to see in this gene key, it's really like, it's really on that survival aspect.
00:15:16
Speaker
OK, so purposelessness is really the greatest fear that we could have collectively as humans. And the root of this fear really stems from the fear of death. OK, so this shadow is part of our genetic survival equipment that has led us to the success of the human species. So if you think about it, the fear of death, right, it has literally sharpened our instincts and led us out of these like darker ages.
00:15:45
Speaker
into the current age where individual survival is more insured than ever before. So essentially, this shadow of the sphere of death used to actually really serve us as a species, right? When we were living in darker times, literally we had to rely on our instincts to survive. We had to view death as
00:16:08
Speaker
like right around the corner. And so that really led us to sharpen our instincts, to become survivors, to become fighters, to do whatever it takes, right, to live and survive. And that led to the evolution of our species into this new day and age where today we don't have to worry about that. Like that fear of death has now transmuted into a fear of purposelessness because we're no longer trying to survive. We're no longer trying to
00:16:35
Speaker
keep the tribe alive, right? We're already alive. And so now, instead of this fear of death, it's really this fear of purposelessness. So one thing that I've always loved to do, and I've talked about this before, is I really like to contemplate my death. When I contemplate my death, it really lights this fire under my booty to get going on my purpose and to realize that
00:17:02
Speaker
I don't have this like infinite amount of time. I can literally die tomorrow. So it kind of takes away a lot of those like a lot of those deep fears that we have that are actually not real. For example, the fear of like going live on Instagram is such a scary fear for a lot of us, right?
00:17:22
Speaker
But are we actually going to die by pressing that button of going live and then just talking to a camera where there's literally no human around us, right? No, we're not gonna die from that. But it can lead to this anxiety in our body and this really uncomfortable feeling of almost feeling like we're gonna die. And that's because our body is still running off of these very old instincts.
00:17:50
Speaker
And so it can lead us to fear a lot of things that aren't actually going to lead us to die. But anyways, getting back to the point. So if we think about death, right? If we think about dying, it really leads us to think like, okay, if we're going to die, what is the prime purpose of us as a human being? And so if we look at it at the physical level, it's really for us to like maintain our health for as long as possible, right?
00:18:17
Speaker
like we know that we need to maintain our health, or we will die of some sort of disease, some sort of illness. You know, if we didn't have food and water, like the basic instincts, or the basic necessities, then we would die. Another way to really look at death is to face
00:18:38
Speaker
the fear of purposelessness. Another main reason that we're here to live is to evolve. Literally, we need to maintain our physical health, and then human beings are here to evolve. Our souls came here for a reason, and that reason is to evolve. According to this GeneKey, it's really evolving through creative uniqueness.
00:19:02
Speaker
So each of us humans carry a very specific uniqueness and we can look at that in our gene

Confronting and Transcending Fears

00:19:10
Speaker
keys. Like in all of the gifts that you have in all of the cities, that is your divine creative uniqueness that you're here to really carry out in this lifetime. But the problem is in order for us to really access those, we have to meet our dark side, right?
00:19:30
Speaker
we have to face our deepest fears of death. And the way for us to do that, like if you're wondering like, okay, how do I do that? That's where we can look at our shadows and our jinkies, because our shadows really are like muted down to the simplest form of what they are is just a fear. And if you keep like going deeper and deeper into what this fear is, it's going to be the fear of death, which is what this jinkie is all about.
00:19:57
Speaker
So when you face your death, you actually give an edge to your life. And it really lights that fire under your booty, like I said, to find your purpose and to take the risks of following your dreams. Now, most people are afraid of death.
00:20:15
Speaker
Like if you were to take a poll on people's biggest fears, um, I actually don't know if this is true because I haven't even looked up the statistics. So let's just like scratch that. But most people are afraid of death, right? Now there are a couple of ways that people avoid their fear of death. So the first way that people avoid their fear of death is by adopting a fixed mental philosophy.
00:20:39
Speaker
and then living within that philosophy rather than living through their fear. So what this means is that, for example, it's like our religions, our beliefs, our sciences, our systems, anything that can become a dogma to really numb your fear is going to be a way that people use philosophies to avoid their fears because the mind does not like surprises. So this makes so much sense.
00:21:09
Speaker
If you ask people, and I used to be like this too, I used to honestly be really afraid of dying and I didn't want to look at that. And so I kind of just like really was following what I had been told from growing up Christian and growing up in the Lutheran church is like, Oh, since I'm still afraid of death and I don't want to think about death, I would just think about, Oh, how can I live the best life without sin so I can be accepted into heaven, into the kingdom of God?
00:21:39
Speaker
so that I can live this like eternal life in heaven, right? And so it's like, okay, instead of actually facing my fears of anything, it's more like living in a state of fear because I didn't want to
00:21:52
Speaker
be in trouble, quote unquote, for sinning and like going to hell, right? Which is like an indoctrination. Um, and so a lot of people, and that's not to say that like religions are wrong or science is wrong or beliefs are wrong. It's just that when people use those things so strictly and like so in a dogmatic way to avoid fear, then that's really keeping them stuck in this purposelessness energy. Um, because if you really live in this like,
00:22:22
Speaker
continued acceptance of death, it means to live in a continual state of unexpectedness, which the mind does not like. The mind does not like uncertainty. The mind does not like unexpectedness. And so yeah, it's like how, it's like really like, so our minds will have us believe that
00:22:46
Speaker
purpose lies in the future rather than the here and now. And so what most people do is they keep postponing their life until they meet all their fears face to face at the end, which is at their deathbed, right? We hear it all the time of so many people talking about like their biggest regrets in life. It was not spending time with the people that they loved the most. It was not going after their dreams. It was not taking the chance, not taking the risks. You know, it's never that
00:23:12
Speaker
They wish it's never about money. It's never about material things. It's about like regretting things that they didn't take the chance on doing, which is really taking the risks in life. And that's so sad that most people don't face that until they're on their death bed. So in order to live your purpose, you have to look deeply into your fears now because your purpose actually lies within your fears. And that's why most mystical traditions say that you must die in order to live.
00:23:43
Speaker
And if you really think about it, think about the times where you went through the gnarliest, hardest shit. The times where you felt like, I don't know how I'm going to get through this. But instead of avoiding it, instead of ignoring it, instead of
00:24:03
Speaker
just like sitting in it, you looked at it head on and you just went through it, right? Think about how you felt afterwards, like literally unstoppable. And you felt like you probably felt this like course of like energy running through you. And it's because you realize that you can get through anything. And it's when we really look at our fears face on that we're able to live in the now in our purpose. So the majority of the collective
00:24:31
Speaker
really kind of compromises on their purpose and kind of falls in line with the belief that they're trapped by money, responsibilities, taxes, right? That's kind of what the matrix is. If we talk about like, oh, being stuck in the matrix, it's like, I feel like I'm being stuck or trapped in this
00:24:50
Speaker
society's idea of success of like, oh, I have to go to college and accumulate a shitload of college debt. And then I have to like, find a great job afterwards, climb the corporate ladder, marry my partner, have children, buy a house, work this job for like, till I'm 65, 70 years old, then retire, and then maybe I can start to enjoy my life and have fun. And that's the majority
00:25:19
Speaker
of the way that a lot of people live and that is why so many people feel unfulfilled because there is not going to be one path to purpose, right?
00:25:29
Speaker
if we're being honest with ourselves, we're kind of, a lot of us are turning our eyes or, you know, really ignoring the signs that our body is giving us that we don't like who we're in a relationship with, that we don't like the job that we're working, that we feel unfulfilled, that we have this like dream or this calling, but we're too scared to do it because what will our family members think? What will our friends from high school think? We don't want to come out of the spiritual closet because we don't want to look crazy. And it's like,
00:25:59
Speaker
We're literally just staying trapped in this matrix path that is
00:26:05
Speaker
keeping us freaking numb because we don't want to look at the scary things of like, Oh, well, it's scary to come out of the spiritual closet. It's scary to start talking about these concepts that you're absolutely obsessed with and love on social media because you don't want to get judged. It's scary to leave the relationship because you know deep within your bones that there's something just better for you out there. Like the love is not there anymore. The connection is not there anymore. The,
00:26:31
Speaker
passion and just the vitality, the growth, the evolvement is not there anymore. That person is not growing with you, especially if you're on a spiritual path. That's a huge thing that can happen is you're becoming this completely different version of yourself. You're shedding all of these layers and your partner just isn't. They're not growing. Whether they support your growth or not, if they're not also evolving, that becomes very unattractive and it becomes
00:26:58
Speaker
it becomes energetically out of alignment. There's not a resonance anymore because they're not also growing and evolving. And it doesn't mean that they have to be into all the spiritual things that you're into, but it's like, are they growing and evolving as a human and learning new things and becoming a better version of themselves? That also happens when you go on a sobriety journey. When I went on my sobriety journey, I had to stop being friends with a lot of people
00:27:24
Speaker
And I grieved each one of those friendships because that was so painful for me and I had moved away to college. And so there was already kind of like a break there, you know, like where I was no longer in physical, um, vicinity of my old friends and my old friend group, which kind of helped. But then it's like, I still had to mourn the loss of them because these were my friends, you know, and we just weren't on, um,
00:27:52
Speaker
similar life paths anymore or similar lifestyles anymore. And so it can be very lonely when you go on the spiritual path or the sobriety path. It's like a lot of grieving. It's painful, the spiritual journey and awakening process, the purpose path is so painful. But it's like, if I didn't leave those friends and grieve that and feel the loss and look at the dark side of myself, and if I just stayed there because I was comfortable, I would have probably like
00:28:22
Speaker
I don't know, really, like, I don't even want to be dramatic, but I would have had, I would have like really had a destructive life. Like maybe be in jail, maybe be dead, you know? It's like, I don't know. For sure be super unhealthy. It was just completely spiraling into, um, destruction. And so, but it's not easy to look at yourself and to see that you're the problem.
00:28:49
Speaker
that like, Oh, you need to look at your coping mechanisms and now completely change your life and leave what's familiar. Like that's really hard to do. And so that's what this whole gene key is about. It's like really looking at the dark side of ourselves. It's hard to leave a relationship. It's hard to leave a codependent relationship. It's hard to leave an abusive relationship. It's hard to leave
00:29:11
Speaker
codependent friendships. It's hard to do these things, right? But if we look at these fears head on, that is what is going to help us move forward. Okay, so let's keep going. So when we look at Genki 28, we can also look to the programming partner Genki 27, and that shadow is selfishness. So most people
00:29:39
Speaker
are really afraid to appear selfish and to follow their dreams through. And if they only knew that if they followed their dreams, like their true dreams through, that they would be a far greater service to the planet than anything they could possibly do, right?
00:29:56
Speaker
The thing about programming partners that's really cool and really interesting to contemplate is that they kind of create this loop, this feedback loop. So if you look at the shadow of purposelessness and the shadow of selfishness, you can see how you can get stuck in this cycle of like, oh, I feel like super
00:30:24
Speaker
dead, stuck. I'm not really evolving, but I don't want to be selfish and take the leap. What would that do for my company? I'm not happy in my job, but I play such a vital role. I have so much responsibility here. If I was to leave, that would be so selfish. That would leave the team leaving them hanging and dry or whatever the saying is. I really don't want to let my boss down, so I'm just going to suck it up and I'll just stay here for five more, 10 more years.
00:30:51
Speaker
I really don't want to leave this relationship. Nothing is really wrong. My partner has not done anything bad to me. There's nothing toxic here. It's just that I'm really not in love anymore, but I'm being selfish. I'm being selfish to think that I deserve more when we've already been together for 15 years. He's done so much for me. It would be so selfish now that I'm going through a spiritual awakening and learning more about myself to want more.
00:31:18
Speaker
I think I should just stick it out and that would be so unfair to him. I really need to just stay here and maybe he'll get on the growth train and evolve someday, but I think he'll just stay here. Another example is
00:31:34
Speaker
if we look at our fitness journey, like, Oh, I feel so uncomfortable in my body. Like, God, like, I just, I wish like, I could eat better. And I wish that like, I could go to the gym, but my partner is really not on board. And like, that would be selfish if I, you know, take time away from my kids and my partner and I start prioritizing my fitness, like, no, I need to like, really focus on them and make sure like the house is taken care of and make sure that like, their needs are met. I don't really have time right now to go to the gym. I don't really have time to like,
00:32:03
Speaker
meal prep, I need to focus on them. That would be such a horrible mother of me to put myself first. Or if we look at the sobriety journey, it's like, man, I'm so sad right now with where my life is at. I just keep going out and drinking with all my friends and my partner, but I just feel like it's not for me anymore. But I don't want to be selfish and ruin date night, or I don't want to ruin girls' night.
00:32:33
Speaker
completely change things up. So I guess I'll just have a drink. I guess I'll just go and have some wine. Like I really don't want to like shake things up. Like we've had these traditions for like years and you know, I don't want to rock the boat or change things. So I'll just continue or like, Oh, my husband really likes when I drink. My friends say I'm like so much more fun when I'm
00:32:54
Speaker
drunk. And so I don't want to like change that. You know what I mean? So it really is like these programming partners just stay in a loop.

Manifestations of Purposelessness

00:33:01
Speaker
It's like you're feeling purposelessness. You're feeling like you want things to change. You're not evolving, but it's a loop of being afraid of being selfish. And so that's why it's so important to understand the programming partners. Okay. So
00:33:18
Speaker
There are two ways that people can express purposelessness. And I kind of wish I actually talked about this first so you can get a really good idea of how this shows up. But again, if you are someone who has 28 in your jean keys, this is super cool because these are two ways that you can really see how this might show up in your life when you're in the shadow aspect. And the shadow aspect is really like in that victim state.
00:33:40
Speaker
And if you don't have Genki 28, again, this can still really relate to you. Like I can relate to this so much. So there's two ways that purposelessness can be expressed. The first one is the repressive nature, which is hollow. So this is really when you're kind of like, you can think of the repressive natures as kind of like falling into yourself. It's like getting smaller. It's like you're doing this to yourself. So hollow is where you really repress the darker sides of your nature.
00:34:10
Speaker
So your life really appears to be hollow and devoid of any real juiciness. You turn away from your fears to really live a lackluster life with no sense of purpose.
00:34:21
Speaker
Your life may be glamorous and successful or dull and mundane, but it has no center. So these people often try really hard to appear happy and easy going even to themselves. But anyone who really owns their dark side, they don't hide anything. Like, you know, those people that like own their shame, they own their past mistakes, they own those parts of themselves. Like they're not trying to hide anything. It's almost like they have this like sense where like,
00:34:50
Speaker
nothing really bothers them anymore because they know their dark side. That's different than the person who is hollow. And they don't want to express that. They don't even want to look at that. So the deeper you really go into your fears, the more authentic you feel to others. And those who don't face their demons really live a half life and are so unaware of how transparent they are. Other people can feel them, that they're not really being authentic. Because there's just something about them that
00:35:21
Speaker
It's like they're not accepting, they're not addressing. These people often pretend to be happy or evolved, but they lack any true depth and deep understanding of those who have dared to look deep into the dark mirrors of their soul. So they often don't really even understand
00:35:43
Speaker
They often don't even really understand other people who have access to these. It almost might be like those who look down on shadow work or who look down on people who are really looking at the darker side of things. It's often the people who want to be kind of like, love and light, and only looking at the light aspect, where it's like, you have to look at both. Both of us make up the whole of a person.
00:36:10
Speaker
So yeah, so for my example, for this was really the people who are on the spiritual path. You can really tell when people have been through shit, right? Like there's something that is just like light about them. They just own it. It's like, it's like it rolls off their back. It's like, yeah, like, and what? Like they fully accept themselves.
00:36:28
Speaker
Whereas the other folks who are kind of more love and light aren't really looking to look at the ugly parts of themselves and they actually kind of feel very surface level and that's not actually evolving, right? And again, there's like no judgment. It's just that that's what it takes to evolve is to really look at the kind of darker aspects of ourselves.
00:36:52
Speaker
Yeah, and if I look at myself in my past and things that I have like really had a look at and grow from, it's like abusive relationships, like both ways, emotional, physical abusive relationships, codependency with past boyfriends and friends, you know, like best friends, like this feeling of never wanting to be alone. My alcohol abuse, like there's so many things that I've had to look at and really understand and also look at the shadows of my genetes because that is giving me so much insight.
00:37:20
Speaker
Okay, now if we look at the reactive nature, okay, there is a reactive nature of people that express this purposelessness and it is called gambling. So this shadow is all about taking risks. So these people react to the fear that they feel by transforming their fear into activity. Okay.
00:37:39
Speaker
So this results in rash and impetuous acts that temporarily cloak the fear, but really they're kind of just taking action and just like making decisions and living kind of recklessly because they don't want to look at the fear, right? And these people can quickly become addicted to the risk-taking patterns and to living their lives at the extremes at such a fast and unpredictable pace
00:38:02
Speaker
that they can't really stop and examine the fear that is driving them. So there's not a lot of reflection. There's not a lot of inner assessment, no time alone. And these people really try anything and everything to give themselves a sense of purpose, but they can't stop moving. Their most terrifying space is their own inner silence and stillness.
00:38:25
Speaker
girl. This literally, so I don't have this gene key, but I can relate to this because this is literally how I live my life in college, my younger years of college. So I was working multiple jobs at a time, going to college and partying nightly, like almost like probably every night of the week. And the reason is that I did not want to be alone. I felt such a purposelessness. I wanted to feel purpose.
00:38:53
Speaker
And I was getting purpose, I was seeking purpose from every way that was outside of myself. So it was through my friends, it was through validation, it was through like going out and partying and meeting new people and having new experiences. It was through like fun and just like trying to have fun all of the time, pleasure seeking, not really looking at any darker parts of myself, not taking accountability for my actions.
00:39:22
Speaker
Um, it was like, I was always on the move, always on the move. Um, it was, yeah, through like shopping and any distraction that you can think of. It's like, I was trying to find my purpose and I was grasping. I was grasping for purpose.

Embracing the Present for True Purpose

00:39:38
Speaker
It was like this. I talk about it. I've talked about this in another episode, but it's really like the hungry ghost realm that the Buddhists talk about where you can think about like,
00:39:50
Speaker
It's kind of a creepy image of this like ghost where he has a very fat belly and like a very thin neck and he's just like eating everything like food, Netflix, validation, consumption, dating, swiping, you know, guys, new guys, like trying to get a boyfriend, friends, partying, trying a new brunch place.
00:40:17
Speaker
anything they can think of that's like acting as a distraction where you're trying to get your purpose from, but we all know that it's just like a dead end, right? So that's kind of how it shows up for these people who are in their reactive nature.
00:40:30
Speaker
Okay. So now let's move into the gift, right? Like, so, okay, we've completely understand now the shadow of it. Um, there are certain ways that this is going to show up in your life. I just give examples of how this can show up for me. Again, I don't have this gene key in my hologenic profile, so I will never understand it as much as you will if you have it. Um, so it'll be really fun for you to contemplate this on your own and really see like, how is this shown up in your life? Because you're going to be the expert of your experience and it's going to show up differently for everybody. But.
00:40:59
Speaker
Let's move into the gift of totality. So how can we move out of this feeling of purposelessness, this fear of death, this fear of living an unfulfilled life? So we can move into the gift of totality.
00:41:15
Speaker
So totality really means to live alongside the fear, to live with the unexpected and to stay open to continual change while remaining committed. Okay. So that's what's so interesting about this gift is that it's really a balance between the two extremes. Okay. The extreme of the person who cannot change, right? Which is like the hollow side, the re the hollow side who the hollow aspect, um,
00:41:41
Speaker
who is afraid of change, they're pretending to be happy, but they're pretending to evolve, but they're not really evolving. And then the person who cannot commit. So the person who's constantly taking action, constantly moving, searching for a purpose and everything outside of themselves, but not really committing to themselves and committing to looking at their dark sides, right? So totality is combining these two, balancing those extremes of committing and change.
00:42:08
Speaker
And the gift is really about embracing the whole of your nature and the whole of your life, like the pleasure and the pain, right? It's like acknowledging the pain and not constantly grabbing and seeking the next things without actually seeing like what is really going on inside.
00:42:27
Speaker
So to be in this gift also means to live without allowing your mind to dictate your life. So I love this so much and so many Jean Keys point back to this, which is about living in the present moment. So this Jean Key is all about living in the present moment and knowing with full knowledge that your purpose can only be found in the present moment rather than the distant future.
00:42:52
Speaker
Okay. This is a huge theme, like throughout a lot of the jean keys. And when I find myself in any of my shadows or fears, doubt, pressure, I know now from really like contemplating these to just return to the present moment and find solace and complete contemplating my jean keys and like contemplating my life. Like it literally gives me a sigh of relief. Like you guys, I literally, like I had,
00:43:20
Speaker
I was kind of anxious today because I was like, I don't know what I want to do this week's episode on.
00:43:26
Speaker
I knew that it was gonna come up in the present moment. And so I caught myself kind of worrying about it this morning of like, oh, like I really don't know, like I have a lot of ideas, but I don't really know what wants to come through. And so instead I was like, you know what? I'm not gonna think about that. I'm gonna live in the present moment. And that's when I saw the last kind of like crow, you know, little sign that I needed. And I was like, oh, let me just look up the gene cube. And like all of the topics that I was gonna try to talk about would kind of feel forced. Whereas this has came through just like pretty naturally.
00:43:56
Speaker
I hope it comes across good because I I've never done this kind of setup where I'm like going through the notes and then like talking about it, but I Hope it's resonating for you. So yeah, I just want to say that anytime that I feel Caught up in the fears of oh my god, my purpose is taking so long That right there is a
00:44:23
Speaker
uh lie I guess you could say of the mind your purpose can't take a long time if you're living your purpose in the current moment right like when I realized like oh wow that thought is actually a dumb
00:44:37
Speaker
lie thought because if I'm thinking about like, oh, I just wish like my purpose would hurry up so I could live my purpose. It's like, how can that be possible if my purpose is in the moment? And so then I take a sigh of relief. I'm like, oh yeah, I am living my purpose. I'm literally doing the things that I want to do. I'm expressing myself. I'm like, today I yesterday I cleaned and like, I'm just enjoying the space in my apartment and like having time alone and playing with peanut. That's part of my purpose. Studying and contemplating the jinkies, this like mystical knowledge is part of my purpose.
00:45:06
Speaker
doing this podcast. So it's like, I can return back to the moment. So if you ever find yourself in that fear and doubt, just remember this beautiful gift is teaching us that the present moment is the only place that the purpose path can be found. Okay, so totality appears as you continue to take risks. So not the unfounded risks found in the 28th shadow,
00:45:33
Speaker
but the risk of building something that you cannot see until it's complete. How beautiful is that? Again, totality appears, so the gift of this appears as you continue to take risks, the correct risks in building something that you cannot see until it's complete. So if you think about that on your purpose journey, if you want to
00:45:57
Speaker
build your own business. If you are a healer, if you're a coach, if you're an astrologer, if you're a human design guide, if you're a gene case reader and you are wanting to live your purpose by helping others and like sharing this knowledge, for example, or helping other people transform, there is no way that you can see how it's going to turn out. You don't have the whole picture. And so oftentimes we're so
00:46:22
Speaker
paralyzed by fear of not seeing the bigger picture of how is this going to turn out that we don't do anything. Perfect example is like I told you guys when I, um, when I scheduled my masterclass and then I saw that nobody signed up and I decided to just not do it anymore. Um, that was really living in this fear of like the fear of the unknown, the fear of like, Oh, I don't want to take the risk. I don't want to continue to put that on because if nobody comes, what if I look dumb? What if I have no one there live to talk to?
00:46:51
Speaker
What's the point? Obviously, nobody is interested in this work. Nobody cares about the gene keys. Nobody cares about transformation. But it's like, no, I need to fully trust and take the risk of following through. Do the masterclass even if nobody signs up. Because you know what? I can share the replay. Now I can take that free masterclass and I can make it a paid masterclass. There's so many things that can come from it. There's so many things I can learn about myself.
00:47:16
Speaker
from following through on these things before we actually see the outcome of what's going to happen. Same thing with starting a podcast. You don't really know who's going to listen. You don't know if anybody's going to care about it. There's no way to guarantee that, literally. There's no way to guarantee that anybody will care enough to listen to your podcast. But guess what? If you take the risk anyway and start sharing your voice and just start talking about things that you're interested in, who cares about coming up with this
00:47:43
Speaker
perfect concept to try to get this perfect audience. It's like how will you just be yourself and then the people that resonate with your
00:47:50
Speaker
voice, the people that are in your fractal line are going to show up and it's going to resonate with them and it helps them. And I've experienced that. I literally, you guys just got the most beautiful comment this weekend from a beautiful woman who I did a reading for a couple of months ago and she reached out to me and told me a voice note. Hey, Alyssa, I just want you to know that I got a reading from you or we had a reading a couple of months ago and I've really been falling into this fear
00:48:18
Speaker
um and doubt and like you know when I'm not getting readings or when I'm not being coached I fall into this doubt of my purpose and I feel like what is it or I'm feeling a lot of like uncertainty and she's like so I was like looking for a podcast to listen to I saw yours pop up I decided to like just search for a random one and she listened to this random one that was like weeks ago
00:48:39
Speaker
And it happened to be one where I talked about the reading that I did for her. And she was like, Oh my God, you said in there how like, I'm, I don't even realize how gifted I am. And she's like, that was what I needed. Like that boost of confidence is what I needed. So divinely guided to like,
00:48:55
Speaker
keep moving forward, to keep like conquering my purpose and to live the Dharma path. And she's like, and I feel like we're so connected and like we're kind of in this together. And then I told her, oh my God, you reaching out to me and giving me this voice note, you don't even know how much that did for me and my confidence and my like confirmation that I'm on the right path and that my podcast is reaching people.
00:49:19
Speaker
because it is kind of like a dark hole and you really don't know who's listening until they send you those comments and they reach out or they send you the voicemail or they send you the message and it's like those messages and voice notes you guys mean the world to me and to anybody who's a podcaster because excuse me it lets us know that it's working or like it's not that it's working but that like it has a point that it's if it's even making someone
00:49:44
Speaker
feel that good on their purpose path and give them that confidence that they needed to keep going, that's what it's all about. And you know, because we get those little signs and those little riffs from the people that we listen to and that we look up to, or our friends, or just little angels in our life that
00:50:04
Speaker
are reminding us that we're on this path together. But I would have never expected that before I started the podcast that I would get anyone reaching out and telling me

The Mystery of Life and Soul Work

00:50:13
Speaker
these things. There's no way that I could know that. In my wildest dreams, I wouldn't have guessed that. But I get those messages and I get those comments and it makes my freaking day. So you don't even know how much you're going to help people until you just do it. So continue to take the risk of building something that you cannot see until it's complete.
00:50:32
Speaker
This is also why I wanted to say that business plans, five-year plans, having a year-long vision for your business sometimes can be very detrimental. So there's actually an exercise that I had with a business coach that I took, also in a certification I took, where we really had to plan out our business and map it out, even come up with a five-year, 10-year plan. Anyways, that was so hard for me to do. It was literally impossible. And I felt like a failure.
00:51:02
Speaker
Okay, maybe I'm not supposed to be an entrepreneur because I cannot come up with this goddamn business plan. And I realized, especially through this Gene Key is like, if we're doing sole work, right, for following our purpose, and the path is supposed to unfold naturally, step by step, there's no way, there's no way that we can build a year long, a five year long, a 10 year long business plan.
00:51:27
Speaker
It's freaking impossible, in my opinion, in my experience. Because if we're allowing things to unfold, if we're just taking the courageous acts, taking the courageous risks step by step, building something that we cannot see until it's completed, we're never going to know what that plan was supposed to be. And so that kind of stuff, I think for us, for sole-aligned businesses and for business owners and people on the purpose path,
00:51:50
Speaker
I think it's actually a detriment and it makes it harder for us and it makes it feel like, well, maybe I'm not cut out for this because I can't come up with a freaking year, five year, 10 year plan, but we're not supposed to.
00:52:02
Speaker
Right? This gift is telling us, literally, it's in the gift. Totality appears as you continue to take risks, not the unfounded risks found in the shadow, but the risk of building something you cannot see until it's complete. You cannot see it. So this is your permission to say, fuck a business plan if the business plan is not planning for you. Okay? We don't need that if it's making us paralyzed.
00:52:28
Speaker
And again, that's not to say that there's not a place for that, especially if you're more far along in your business and you're hiring people and you're creating all these business things. I'm sure there's a place for that. But if you're just starting out and you're really in a solo line business, don't let that stop you from even taking any actions because it's unnecessary.
00:52:51
Speaker
This path that we're talking about right now, right? This path of really building your true destiny is a path of deep trust in which the individual strikes out on their path, surrendering their whole being to the mystery of life and its hidden rhythms. So what does that mean? That means that you are surrendering your whole being into the mystery of your purpose path and its hidden rhythms.
00:53:22
Speaker
like really look let's really dissect hidden rhythms you guys there are so many ups and downs on the purpose path so many times that i'm like what am i doing like this isn't impacting anybody nothing is working like should i even be doing this i've been doing this for a couple years not seeing anything really happen
00:53:42
Speaker
There's so much self-doubt, there's so many things that come up along the way where we wish we were further along, but there's hidden rhythms of life. There's going to be times where we're up, there's going to be times where we're down, there's going to be times where we're confused, there's going to be times where we have clarity, but it's surrendering to the whole mystery and being okay with it.
00:54:06
Speaker
right? It says to be total is to be alive in every sense. It's to be acoustically alert in the vitality of every moment as it comes. So what that means to me is like,
00:54:19
Speaker
accepting all of the emotions, all of the ups and downs of the purpose path, of the entrepreneurial path. It's being okay. If there's times where you're hermiting or you're hiding away from months and you're not showing up on social media, that's not a sign to give up. That's a sign that your soul is hermiting. So whatever you're doing, maybe that's a part of the path, right? Maybe that's part of your plan. Maybe you need that time alone to come back to yourself, to come back to inspiration, to recalibrate. There's going to be
00:54:48
Speaker
hidden rhythms of other bigger things going on in your life where maybe things have to be put on the back burner or whatever it is, right? But it's really, I think it's really getting away from the hustle culture of like having to be so quote unquote consistent, posting five times a day, never taking a break. It's like that might work for some people, but also there's these hidden rhythms that we can like
00:55:11
Speaker
be alive to and be in every moment aware of as it comes. And this isn't just in people who are in business or on the entrepreneurial path, but it's like when you're on the purpose path, like there's going to be seasons of your life where things are working out and where things aren't. There's going to be seasons where
00:55:32
Speaker
you're going to go through grief or you're going to go through loss. It's just being aware of these and taking it from moment to moment. This beautiful quote also says that, in the vessel of each moment, fear cannot survive and thus you experience a deepening of calm and quietness growing naturally within.
00:55:59
Speaker
Again, in the vessel of each moment, fear cannot survive. And thus you experience a deepening calm and quietness growing naturally within. So this is so beautiful because like I said, anytime that I start to feel pressure, to hurry up, to have things done, fear, I come back to being like, okay, I'm probably thinking about the future right now. I'm thinking about
00:56:21
Speaker
Why aren't things over there? I'm really projecting my purpose out into the future. Come back to this exact moment. What's going on right now? Oh, nothing. I'm literally enjoying my dog. I'm literally enjoying sitting next to Peanut and petting him. I'm enjoying this decaf latte. I'm enjoying this beautiful, like, hot girl walk.
00:56:37
Speaker
I'm getting my steps in, I'm looking at the trees, I'm looking at the water, I'm looking at the flowers. Oh, I'm so in this very moment consumed and driven by my corporate job, by what it's asking me to do for it, right? What it's asking me to show up, it's asking me to be in this very present moment and give my all and my attention to what I need to do today at work.
00:57:06
Speaker
Could there be fears coming up of like, Oh, I wish I was living my purpose and not working at my corporate job anymore? Oh, of course. But what does that do? That just leaves me more into this fear where I can actually be in the moment and be like, Oh my God, right now I'm at my corporate job. I have a, um, task that I'm working on. And if I can be so fully like in it and just like so immersed and like so lit up with my generators, state girl being of like, yeah, I'm like doing this and like, wow, this feels so good.
00:57:36
Speaker
Then literally I get a calm quietness that grows within me and I don't feel that pressure anymore. I feel like I know exactly where I'm at, exactly where I need to be right now today. And everything is unfolding in perfect timing. So your life becomes a romance that includes both comedy and tragedy when we're living in this gift of totality.
00:57:56
Speaker
Your demons, as we have learned, are really your angels in disguise, and every situation in your life is devised as a form of initiation that allows you to either remain as you are or to evolve. So how beautiful is that that we can really view our life as like a romance when we're in this gift of totality and like we're accepting the good and the bad and the challenges and the breakthroughs and
00:58:19
Speaker
we're realizing that every demon that I thought was a really scary, challenging demon in my life actually turned out to be an angel in disguise, and it's actually helped me evolve and move forward. I also love this where it says, on the inner planes, totality gives itself to every situation, allowing the game to play itself with no expectations, but with absolute conviction.
00:58:46
Speaker
So how I really see this is like if we're living in the gift of totality and really accepting all sides of ourselves, like the fear and the darker parts and also our gifts, it's like we're allowing ourselves to be so convicted on our purpose with no expectation of what's going to come from it. So like I love
00:59:08
Speaker
gene keys, right? I'm obsessed with learning about them. I'm obsessed about talking about it. So if I can be so consumed with doing this podcast episode and sharing what I am taking away from this gene key with absolute conviction and excitement and joy without any expectations of this doing anything for me, getting me anywhere, providing me with anything,
00:59:34
Speaker
that is what is truly living in my purpose and living in totality because I'm so encompassed with what I'm doing. I'm so convicted and passionate about what I'm doing, what I'm learning, what I'm being without trying to get somewhere. So the difference would be if like, the difference would be if like I am
00:59:59
Speaker
doing a podcast episode because I have expectations of like, oh, I want this episode to become viral. I mean, I don't really know if we can do that with episodes. Let's talk about an Instagram. OK, this is perfect. Let's talk about Instagram. So the people that I have worked with and that I'm obsessed with, they're coaches, healers, my own mentors.
01:00:27
Speaker
They are not concerned with becoming viral. Viral content is very generic so that it can reach the masses and be really relatable to shitloads of people. If you're creating content that's very specific and you're speaking directly to the person you want to speak to, that's probably not going to become viral, but it's going to land so deeply with the person.
01:00:50
Speaker
And if you're doing this because you genuinely love to share this information and you're like, Oh my God, I really want to teach about X, Y, and Z. And I really want somebody to be able to take this and like apply this to their life. So I'm going to become, I'm going to be very specific in this content piece I'm creating so that I can help this person.
01:01:10
Speaker
like literally changed their life as opposed to like having expectations of like, Oh, I really want this piece of content to become viral. Do you see where there's like a difference? It's like, that's having an expectation and that's not really being, that's not living in totality of yourself and in the situation. Cause you have expectations.

The Loop of Seeking Purpose

01:01:30
Speaker
Another, I don't know if that's a great example, another example we can think of if we're thinking of it in terms of like,
01:01:39
Speaker
let's think about it in terms of relationships. So like, it's literally, if you're thinking about it in terms of relationships of like dating a new person, it's like you date someone, you met someone you really like, right? Like you guys both really like each other. Instead of having expectations of like, oh my God, like I'm only dating to Mary or I'm only going to give it like this many dates until he commits or she commits and wants to, um,
01:02:08
Speaker
make this really serious. Instead, if you can just be in the moment and truly be like, oh, I genuinely want to get to know this person. Like, I don't know if I want to marry them. I don't know if I even, I don't even know if you believe in marriage or care about marriage, but it's like, I don't know if I want a commitment from them, but I'm going into this by genuinely seeing if I like this person and like wanting to get to know them.
01:02:27
Speaker
That is allowing yourself to be in totality with absolute conviction because you're fully being yourself in that moment. And you don't have an expectation of trying to get into a committed relationship. Therefore, you aren't going to only present the good sides of yourself. You're not only going to present the positive sides and try so hard to be what they want and really mirror them.
01:02:48
Speaker
You're going to, with absolute conviction, fully be yourself. Give yourself to that situation. Really allow yourself to open up and allow that person to see you for who you are because you don't have expectations of making this be something committed. So therefore, you aren't hiding any parts of yourself. You're literally allowing yourself to be fully in the moment and share the darker sides of yourself, too, because you're not afraid of that person walking away from you.
01:03:14
Speaker
Do you see how beautiful that is? Like that is totality. That is so freaking beautiful. Okay. So the 28th and the 32nd jinkie make up the binary genetic codon group of the ring of illusion. Okay. If you don't know what that means, essentially different jinkies make up different codon groups, right? And each different codon group has like a different kind of, um, a different kind of like meaning or purpose. And so the ring of illusion.
01:03:45
Speaker
is what causes human beings to postpone their lives and seek a sense of purpose in the future. So that's really what the ring of illusion does. And these two GenQs share a common fear within each other, which is a fear of death. So GenQ28 fears death itself, where GenQ32 fears dying unfulfilled.
01:04:07
Speaker
So together we can say that together the ring of illusion causes human beings to postpone their lives seeking a sense of purpose in the future. So your thinking is based upon the fulfillment rather than now when we're stuck in that shadow cycle, right? That when we're really stuck in the
01:04:31
Speaker
Oh my goodness. When we're stuck in, basically we're stuck in those shadows like together and we're looping in those, we're really stuck in this thinking that it's really based upon achievement. So the gift within this codon group is that the illusion can simply be broken through understanding this. Okay. So the gift is we can break the fear of
01:04:57
Speaker
seeking a sense of purpose in the future, like, oh, I'll be happy when in the future, oh, I'll be living my purpose in the future when X, Y, and Z is present. I'll be successful when, oh, finally, I'll know I'm living my purpose when, blah, blah, blah, like pushing it out to the future, right? The way that we can break this illusion is through understanding this, is that true purpose is found in giving yourself 100% to every moment rather than having to do with any kind of achievement.
01:05:27
Speaker
Okay. I'll repeat that because that is literally how we can break the solution. So true purpose is found in giving yourself 100% to every moment rather than having to do with any kind of achievement. Again, if we think about our purpose, you guys, this is fricking revolutionary. If you are a healer, if you love Reiki, if you love tarot readings, you love giving tarot readings.
01:05:51
Speaker
You love astrology. You're an astrologer. You're a human design guide. You are a Gene Keys guide. You are a life coach. You are a relationship coach.
01:06:01
Speaker
You love these systems, right? You freaking love these systems and you love the transformation that is given to your life and you can't wait to transform other people's lives. If you live 100% in every moment, in every piece of content that you're creating because you truly want to just share this information with others, if you live 100% in the moment of every
01:06:23
Speaker
like session that you're in with your client, instead of worrying about, oh my God, I wonder if they're going to get anything from this. If you're an Akashic records reader and you're giving an Akashic records reading and you're fully 100% in the moment with that person reading their records, instead of wondering, oh my God, I wonder if I'm going to achieve some sort of transformation for them. I wonder if they're going to get anything out of this. I wonder if it's going to resonate. If you're giving a tarot reading and you're 100% in the moment,
01:06:51
Speaker
giving your freaking intuitive guidance instead of wondering, oh, my God, I wonder if the other person is like, if this is resonating or I wonder if I wonder if I'm going to transform them today or I wonder if they're going to even like think that this was worth it. That.
01:07:06
Speaker
is when we're living our true purpose, right? It's when we're in every moment, we're giving ourselves 100% to the moment instead of having to achieve anything. When your fulfillment comes from simply being alive and in the thrill of the role life is bringing you in the moment, only then are you total. When your fulfillment comes from simply being alive and the thrill of the role that life is bringing you in the moment, only then are you total.
01:07:36
Speaker
Whatever role you are playing in the game of life, whether it is the lover, the villain, the healer, the artist, the coach, the partner, the mother, the daughter, the friend, the master, the disciple, the seeker, as long as your commitment is total, you will discover a mysterious detachment running beneath the role itself. And this detachment is the reward for your courageous totality. Okay, so let's break that down. What does that mean?
01:08:07
Speaker
when your fulfillment in life comes simply from being alive in whatever role you're playing. So when you're in your mom role, right? Say you're a business owner, but you're also a mom, you're also a wife, and you're really struggling to find the balance. You're struggling, like, how can I live my purpose, create a business, but also be a mom? You guys, the gift in this totality is realizing that you need to be 100% in the moment in whatever you're doing. If you're with your kid, be with your kid.
01:08:35
Speaker
If you're playing with your child, if you are listening to them, if they're talking to you, don't also be on your computer.
01:08:44
Speaker
creating content. Don't also be on your computer doing your nine to five job. If you are with your husband and your husband is talking to you about his day, don't also be on your phone, ignoring him and like half listening, right? If you are in the role of being a disciple, of being a seeker, you know, if you're meditating, allow yourself to fully be in that role. Don't also have the distractions of your family around you. Allow yourself, give yourself time to be in silence and to be meditating in silence.
01:09:14
Speaker
Right? If you're playing the role of working your nine to five, be that. Be the best in your role that you can be instead of also on the side, like scrolling Instagram and being distracted or voice noting your friend. It's like fully give yourself to that job and do a great, incredible job. This is how we're truly living our purpose is from being in the totality of the moment of who we are.
01:09:38
Speaker
And when we do that, that is where we discover this beautiful detachment that runs beneath the roll. Right? It's like it, it detaches us from having to get any sort of outcome. For example, say if you are
01:09:56
Speaker
Akashic Records Reader, give myself for example, and I'm so lost in the moment of fully giving them 100% of my focus, of my attention. There's this like mysterious detachment that is going to unravel where I'm no longer worrying about the outcome that I'm going to give them and I'm fully living my purpose in the gift of
01:10:24
Speaker
like intuitive channeling. Like I'm intuitively giving them the gift of channeling and I'm sharing the message that they need to hear. I'm so fully in it. I'm not in my mind. I'm not worrying about, Oh, what I'm saying is coming through. Like, I don't know. This is weird. Should I say it? I don't know if that's going to resonate. I don't want to like hurt their feelings. I don't know if this is like too much for them or I don't know. Whatever. It's like letting go of all of that and being so fully a hundred percent in the moment. And that is when they will receive the best Akashic Records reading
01:10:54
Speaker
that I could have given them, right? Life changing. That is when they will receive the most downloads because I'm not psyching guessing myself. I'm not worrying about how it's like going to come across to them. I'm just giving it to them. I'm being a channel. And it's almost like us being a channel and those roles that we're in. And that is how we live our purpose.
01:11:12
Speaker
And when we can fully do that, you will see, and I've been really playing around with this. And I noticed that when I allow myself to fully be in my nine to five and be okay with it and be excited and good at what I'm doing, when I fully allow myself to listen to George, my partner, and ask questions and fully be present for him sharing about his day.
01:11:34
Speaker
our relationship becomes so much better and I feel so fulfilled as a girlfriend, right? When I'm being a friend and I'm fully like listening to my friend and I'm in that role a hundred percent and I'm not
01:11:45
Speaker
giving them like a half-assed listen like I have this thing too where I've really had to work on this in my life is like becoming a good listener because there's so many times where it's like I'm so in my mind that like I had a tendency to not listen to what the person was telling me whether it was me trying to think of what to say next or me just completely zoning out when someone's talking to me and then I'm like oh yeah like giving like really half-assed like
01:12:08
Speaker
comments back because I'm not actually seeing that person and listening to them, that was a life skill I've had to develop, you know, that I work on all the time. So it's like, how can you fully give yourself to the roles that you're playing? And that is you fully living your purpose in totality, right?
01:12:24
Speaker
That takes away the fear. That takes away the purposelessness. That takes away the fear of death because we are in the moment and we're being the best versions of ourselves. We're fully evolving in every moment too. Like the more present we can be, the more that we're always constantly evolving and becoming masters at what we do in every role that we play. And that takes away the fear of death.

Invitation to Personal Growth and Connection

01:12:50
Speaker
So that is it. Oh my gosh, so that is really all that I have about that Jane Key.
01:12:57
Speaker
I feel like that feels really good and complete, and I hope that really gives you something to contemplate. If you want to read more about that actual Gene Key, you can get the Gene Keys book, Embracing Your Higher Purpose, and read all about it. I haven't gone into the city at all, so there's also the city, which is immortality. And so that's really like the enlightened state, that's like a very mystical state.
01:13:20
Speaker
little difficult to describe but for the purposes of today's conversation I really just wanted to like talk about the difference of purposelessness and how we can really embrace the gift of totality to like not feel purposelessness because
01:13:31
Speaker
it sucks like I know how it feels to feel purposeless and it's not a good feeling but it's really like allowing ourselves to just to sum it up it's really allowing ourselves to go to the depths of our darkness to embrace the pain and the joy to like know those parts of ourselves and if you want to learn more about those parts of yourselves a beautiful way that I love to do it is through contemplating my shadows in the jean key in the jean keys so you can um
01:14:01
Speaker
book a reading. I'll put the link below. If you want to book a reading, I would absolutely love to dive into this with you. It is so freaking fun. And it's honestly so life changing to have a reading by somebody who understands the actual pathways and the spheres and what the jinkies are. Like it's literally life changing.
01:14:20
Speaker
I'll put the link below and just really getting to know your shadows is shadow work. It's like first having awareness and then having an actual path, which I love the jinkies is like, the jinkies is so gentle. Like this is, I honestly think my soul is here to really help people like do shadow work and really be fully really be in just like the mundane everyday day to life, day to day life.
01:14:48
Speaker
slash spirituality. I don't think that I'm really here to be super heady or super up here. I feel like my big three in astrology, I have a Capricorn Sun, Taurus Moon, Virgo Rising. So it's all Earth, very grounded. And so I feel like I'm really here to literally translate these jean keys, this beautiful wisdom,
01:15:15
Speaker
to help people understand their shadows so that they can work through this in their day-to-day life. It's so gentle. It's all about awareness. It's all about in the mundane in your day-to-day life. You don't have to go away to a retreat. You don't need to take plant medicine. You don't need to do any of these things that are so outside of yourself. It's really in your life, in your relationships, in your work, in your purpose.
01:15:37
Speaker
that you start to evolve and grow from having awareness of your shadows and knowing a very direct way to transmute that into your gifts and then into your cities, the United States. So anyways, I'm obsessed with this work. I hope this was helpful. I hope that you loved it.
