Cause it's like, it's not, there's no similarities between the two characters. And so it it will, it probably will challenge him as an actor to kind of portray the craziness of Barty Crouch Jr. So I like that. Yeah, that's a good one. I like that one.
Casting Aunt Marge: Traditional vs. Unconventional Choices

I think I'm finding a trend in myself where these one-off characters, I really want to bring in somebody who would just be awesome to have in for just the time period of the piece and like i'm knowing that they'll never have to like come back. So like if I were a producer of the show, I would definitely be more wanting to like negotiate with bigger said-named actors.

But somebody who kept coming into my mind as I was thinking about it, because they can slip into like any um aesthetic love in ah such a lovely way is Tilda Swinton. Oh, yeah. But I do really like that the route of having Haley Atwell be like evil or somebody like her who's always charming. Right. End up being an evil person. Yeah. And I also kind of went with Ruck because I know that like we were focusing on more younger characters to play Vernon and Petunia because James and Lily were

we' were younger as well, but like I figured Marge was older than Vernon. So her being in her 40s right now would necessarily kind of fit the bar because she's older than Vernon and would be able to play with a much younger Vernon character.

Well, and the thing with Aunt Marge is it doesn't necessarily have to be Vernon's sister. Like it could be Vernon's aunt and be played by an older actress, um, because it doesn't go into the history of them growing up. Like it would Lily and Petunia, for instance, like they have to be sisters because of plot purposes. Um, not saying I chose an older actress, but I don't think age matters as much for a character like Aunt Marge as it would the Marauders.

Um, with that said, I chose Catherine Tate for aunt Marge. And again, I agree. I didn't want to go. Oh my goodness. So yeah. It's not because I think she's disgusting, but I feel like she could really nail a good aunt Marge. She would be so, okay. Yeah. No, she would be so perfect. Thank you. That's actually a really good choice. I love that.

This is the only time that we ever see Ernie and it's such a fun, wacky moment that it would just be a really fun and cameo. Yeah. So I think Anthony Hopkins is a good choice. I went with Ricky Gervais. Oh, my God. He would be so funny.

She was bringing up all of these people that we had never heard. Yeah, now that was amazing. Yeah, it makes sense. but um So I know them by face. So by name, I had to like, I learned what their names were. Lewis Cunningham, from Stranger Things, I believe.

Tom Holland. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Something like that. No, Tom is going to be James. Yeah. That's the one Marauder I didn't change. I still have Tom as my James. That's right. You chose Tom Holland as James Potter, didn't you? I did.

All right, well, let's move on from I think it could be. um I think that the reason why I had a hard time casting Stan Shempike is because I thought he was supposed to be more like a ah teenager, although I guess he can't be. He has to be over 17 because he's graduated Hogwarts, we would assume. I was under the impression he was like 19. Yeah, like newly out of Hogwarts because he because he's like described as all pimply. And usually you think of pimply like high schoolers.

I'm okay with putting someone like that. like I liked her performance on Loki and from what I researched on her role in Game of Thrones, it looks like she did a really good job. like Put a big funky set of glasses on her and let her do her thing and she might make a very convincing trilani. But at the same time, like I feel like when you're trying to find people that can fill the shoes, but also take the time to like put energy and effort into the character that the ah that the movies didn't have. Like this would be somebody that I feel like over time would be able to make trilani really good from three to seven. Well, Migs, can you sell James on your trilani?

Revisiting the Marauders: Have Choices Changed?

um I don't think so beyond what we've like already said about fan casting other than it's going to be so exciting to see who they choose for the marauders. Yes, and really. yes i know I know, I know, I know, I know. And and I believe, if I'm not mistaken, the casting call or like the open casting, whatever, ended October 31st. So they have looked through all the people And I'm hoping casting news comes out soon. That is really exciting. I know. I cannot wait. We're going to have to have an emergency episode soon when the casting news comes out. It's like crazy to think about actually having news. I know. All right. Well.
