 In this new series, I’m going to discuss a topic related to mental health with the hope of motivating you to improve your mental game! The reason I frequently talk about mental health is that gaining control over it can significantly enhance your life and overall quality of living.

Now, let’s talk about ANXIETY. Where does it come from? Anxiety has a source, and it’s important to identify it. I’m discussing this today because I want you to really reflect on where your anxiety might be originating from.

Sometimes, we need to confront our own issues to truly become better people.

Personal Journey: Overcoming Anxiety

And basically what was clicking in my head as I was sitting here before I started to record this was I don't remember the last time I had anxiety. I don't remember the last time I really, you know, had like just a bad like feeling of anxiety or guilt or regret, you know what I mean? And I started to think about why.

what what like Yeah, sure. I you know ah just did ayahuasca. It's very life-changing. um I microdosed to do the journey. I do all those those things, but ah I have done those things before and still managed to get anxiety or like you know all this these bad feelings coming in, like old patterns come up. right I'm sitting here and thinking, I'm like, well, I'm just looking at my life.

and Everything is just going good. And there's no stress. There's no bad decisions being made. There's no arguing you know with with with my my partner. There's no arguing. There's no bullshit. There's no drama. There's nothing. There's just, we're just living.

And things are good. And I'm like, what well, well, shit. And I feel like now, you know, I'm just talking about my own experience, but I feel like in the past, I did deal with a lot of drama, a lot of uncertainty in my relationships, um, a lot of arguing, um,

Life Changes and Finding Peace

Like it it my life was always having these issues. And I feel like that's obviously why I was having anxiety. And I feel like because of all these issues that was happening in my relationships and all the trauma and and the fights and the lies and this, that's why I was You know, very jealous and very, you know, I would overthink a lot. Um, I would think the worst of everything. And like, I was just in this like fight or flight mode. Right. And that's, I do strongly believe that is why I had anxiety. That is why I was overthinking, you know, but now it's like, it's like I've removed all that from my life. And I'm just really like focused on.

being happy and living a good life, focused on you know my my work, content creation, making this podcast. like I find I'm just very driven and focused. And because I am very driven and focused, and um and I want to create the best possible life I can, and I just want to be happy, that that's just yeah obviously you know creating a snowball effect with the people around me because they obviously want the same things as well.

And I feel like the people around me don't have anxiety, don't is not really stressed when they probably were in the past before because they were also around people that was causing stress and anxiety and all these things. you get You get where I'm going with this, right? So as I sit here this morning, I'm just kind of reflecting on my life and thinking about all the years that I had anxiety. And I feel like a lot of us

got anxiety, but like, why? So like, as you're listening to this podcast, like if you do have anxiety, why? Is your is your husband, ah you know, really super jealous? Or maybe you're with somebody where you feel like you're walking around on eggshells and you could make one wrong move and and that person is just going to blow up. And then that just brings you anxiety.

You know, um, are you yourself doing the best you possibly can, or are you going out and getting really fucked up drinking, doing drugs? I don't know. Make it, making wrong decisions, which is causing you some guilt or maybe causing you to fuck up, which is then going to result in a big argument with you and your partner, which is going to cause anxiety. You go, you get what I'm saying? Like, where is this anxiety coming from?

because it obviously stems from somewhere. We're not just born with fucking anxiety. Like think about that for a second. Babies don't just get born and there's, I have anxiety now. No, it's not how it fucking works. It's, it's, it's what happens in your life, who you're surrounded with, the choices that you make and what type of life are you living? I get it. I totally understand.

um Like people are diagnosed with depression and and stuff like that. But like I said, it stems from somewhere. Whether that is you know how you were raised as a child and maybe your father had depression, you were rounded a lot. I don't really know, I'm not a doctor, I'm just you know um just talking about how I kind of view it. But it all stems from somewhere.

Maybe it's it's fucking perfect, but there's still some areas of your life where, you know, it it could be a little better. You could put a little bit more attention there to to make it better. Deep down, I don't know, you're just kind of not really wanting to be with your husband and that just, that like when you're not really fully in that committed relationship, then you are, you know, making decisions kind of behind this person's back and so on. And you get what I'm saying, right? So I want you guys to really think about where the fuck is this anxiety coming from? Maybe you don't have anxiety. Maybe you're listening to this, you're like, Adam, I don't have anxiety.

I always just talk about my personal experiences because I know for a damn fact there's so many of you out there that has dealt with or are dealing with the things that I have dealt with in my life. And that's why I just talk about my experiences because there is a better way to be living your life instead of just living in fear and anxiety, your whole freaking life and and never doing anything to to overcome that anxiety or get rid of it because I used to have it.

And I feel like just over time, obviously it doesn't happen overnight, but like over time I really started working on myself. And then by me just constantly, constantly, constantly working on myself and getting myself better to a better place in my life, mentally, physically, emotionally, everything that now has really shaped and formed the life that I'm living, which is just fucking happy and calm and normal.

And this is how it should have been my whole life. It's just I didn't know any any better. And I was just stuck in all these shitty relationships. I'm not going to say shitty relationships. I'm only talking bad about stuff. But like I wasn't mentally well. And um some of the people that I was with probably was was in the same situation as me. And then that just creates chaos.

Why do you have it? Where is it coming from? Where does it stem from? Who are you surround yourself with? What choices are you making in life? what What are you doing that's causing this fucking anxiety? Because like I said, you don't just get born, pop out of the womb. I got anxiety, everybody. So just ask yourself, where's it coming from? Sit down, bust out a journal. I know it could be a cluster fuck in your mind when you're thinking about it. Sit down with a pen and paper and ask yourself the fucking question, where's my anxiety coming from?

And if you can't think about what to write, just whatever comes to mind, you know, just say anxiety. Maybe your partner pops up. Maybe your job part pops up. Maybe when you go into work, it's like, you know, break that down and then break it down. Why? Why wouldn't I show up to work? You know, and then around this certain person, why do I get anxiety? You know?

And when you really just like dissect it and break it down, ask yourself these questions, journal ah journal about it, meditate on it. you know And like when I say meditate, like um maybe meditation don't look like sitting there closing your eyes and breathing in and out for 20 minutes. Meditation just could be simply journaling and then going for a walk and thinking about it. you know A lot of people think when you meditate, you you're not supposed to have any thoughts and you're supposed to be very clear minded.

when i like When I sit down in meditation, I find that my brain don't stop. like Yes, sometimes it's very calm, but like that's when I ah get all these like ideas and stuff coming in when I actually sit down and meditate, but I know I'm getting off topic here. um But yeah, sit down, journal about it, think about it, process it. Talk ah talk to somebody about it.
