Opening Banter: Sushi Cravings & Fashion Choices

00:00:22
Speaker
Yo, yo, yo, How are they hanging? I'm jealous of your sushi. And then we've been talking about sushi now for like 10 minutes and I'm like, God damn it. I want sushi.
00:00:37
Speaker
And maybe that's what I'll get. If I feel inclined to put on a shirt and properly go out rather than like, just put on a,
00:00:50
Speaker
well, wrap this up around my two, my, my titties. You got a tube top on, don't you? Yeah. Well, it's a bandeau. Yeah. So, but point being, I might swing myself over to the grocery store and grab me a sushi.
00:01:05
Speaker
Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Whee!

Introduction to Midsummer and Solstice

00:01:11
Speaker
Yeah. yeah What are we talking about tonight, Miss Molly? I think you know.
00:01:21
Speaker
You guys, if you've been here before, you know, well, you might, we hope, you know what's coming up. And you know what we're going to try to talk about today.
00:01:33
Speaker
Yeah, well, i yeah, try try to talk about is the right word. um We'll see how on topic we can stay. But we are talking about that Sabbath to end all Sabbaths.

How Do You Pronounce 'Litha'?

00:01:50
Speaker
Midsummer. also known as litha litha which is just known as the summer solstice weird to me that it's pronounced litha because i would think it's letha don't don't know but i've never pronounced it differently so yeah yeah and nobody has ever told me litha is wrong Yeah, and I've heard other people saying that now.
00:02:20
Speaker
and Yeah, I've only ever heard people say, i don't know if it's Litha or Letha or Lytha. and I'm like, Litha sounds the least like it's trying too hard, that makes sense.
00:02:34
Speaker
Like ah the other ones sound like they're trying too hard. Gotcha. Litha rolls off the tongue.
00:02:42
Speaker
But you could also just call it Midsommar. Yeah. For the summer solstice. Because it's all the same thing. Yeah. and we have some big ass plans.

Celebration Plans in Philly

00:02:54
Speaker
I know. For our summer solstice. I'm so fucking excited. Oh my god. So am I. We've like fully talked about it before. Both like on our bonus episodes. And on our regular episodes.
00:03:08
Speaker
um Probably not too in depth. But we've at least hinted at the fact. That we are meeting up with. Some of our Anahata's besties around the Philly area. And we've got an Airbnb.
00:03:24
Speaker
And we're going to hang out. And we're going to do little bit of summer. can't wait. Oh, my God. It's a almost a week away for you.
00:03:35
Speaker
Because I'll be there by this time next week. But you will be there this time next week tomorrow. yeah I'll be there by hopefully dinner time Friday next week I bet y'all will get there probably by like 4 or 5 p.m.
00:03:58
Speaker
yeah that's what I'm guessing yeah yeah hopefully um yeah ah yeah it depends on how early my my friend that I'm meeting up with decides to leave her hotel like how early she wants to get on the road from there Right, right.
00:04:18
Speaker
Then after we get on the road, we're picking up another friend in Ohio before we cross over into Pennsylvania. so yeah oh my god It's going to be crazy.

Craft Ideas for Midsummer

00:04:33
Speaker
We're going to like descend upon this place like vultures. Turkey vultures. Dude. It's going to be good. dude me it' gonna be good So we're probably going to, you know, either directly the week after or, you know, within the couple weeks after, you know, we'll do a little episode recapping it.
00:05:00
Speaker
um So stay tuned for that. Yeah. We're going to base that off of my photographs and your notes.
00:05:10
Speaker
Because I will be photographing. That's how I remember things best. And i I mean, like, my memory is pretty damn good.
00:05:21
Speaker
So I don't even need to, like, take notes necessarily yeah. yeah We'll see. We'll see how it turns out. Because if it is anything like the way that Anahata's affects me us,
00:05:34
Speaker
ah time ceases to be a thing. So... Yeah, everything sort of jumbles together. It's crazy. yeah But this is going to be for a shorter time. This is going to be for ah like 48 hours, effectively. Yeah.
00:05:52
Speaker
Thereabouts. Less than that for me, for sure. but Yeah, for y'all that are driving from out west.
00:06:02
Speaker
But... you know, even still, I think it might become a little bit of a jumble just because we get so like, I just, I don't know. I have this feeling we're going to get so attuned

Solstice Preparations: Solar Water & Homemade Wine

00:06:17
Speaker
and like, maybe not attuned.
00:06:19
Speaker
That's not the right word. ah Aligned. don't know. We're going to, we're going to sort of like come together in like a particular vibration yeah that will sort of just cancel out the meaning of time.
00:06:34
Speaker
huh so you know we'll see what happens there i feel like the word in the zone is like the phrase in the zone is like get in the zone zone we are not sponsored we are not sponsored But not opposed.
00:06:55
Speaker
From AutoZone, though? I don't know. Christina does drive for a living, so... i Yeah, I do. But i just spent I just spent a good chunk of money at O'Reilly's, so sorry, AutoZone. Oh, oh, oh, O'Reilly's! Oh, no.
00:07:11
Speaker
oh Okay, look. a Look what I got. i got my Midsommar book. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, Louis. The one's Sabbat Essentials.
00:07:24
Speaker
Rituals, recipes, and lore for Litha. Fucking love it. I found something already that I want to share. Oh boy. i am excited. i want to do this. I know like your one friend wants to make a broomie things.
00:07:40
Speaker
Oh yeah. Um, what did she call them? Brooms? No. Beesoms. Beesoms, yeah. Yeah. yeah She wants to make the beesoms, but I found something that I really like and I want to make.
00:07:56
Speaker
Oh my god! I love the way you said that. She wants to make the beesoms. Yeah. like And I want to touch the bosoms. No, I'm just kidding. oh whoa um just Consensually.
00:08:13
Speaker
Always. oh Not that I've ever just touched bosoms, but yes. um Gifts for the birds, dude. gifts for the birds yeah dude uh midsummer is a celebration of the glories of the natural world and the summer birds are part of

Book Discussion: 'Sabbat Essentials' & More Crafting

00:08:32
Speaker
that beauty and abundance so why not share the party with our feathered friends by making up these simple treats that also do double duty as decorations for your yard this is another fun one to do with kids you will need pine cones apples ribbons peanut butter
00:08:50
Speaker
bird seed knitting needle or skewer to poke a hole in the epil optional um but i could see to do this the the easiest would be like even just a piece of yarn a long kind of long piece of yarn or ribbon whatever yeah um and some pine cones and you i definitely made that kind of a craft when i was a kid you smear peanut butter on it and then you yeah sprinkle bird seed on it yes yeah or you just roll it in the bird seed There you go.
00:09:20
Speaker
Yeah, yeah. So um want to do that, and I want to hang those around the trees where we're going to be so we can have birdies be amongst us a little bit more, like, communing-wise.
00:09:33
Speaker
See, because it's an Airbnb, I get so nervous. I'm like, what if they come back and they're like, what the fuck is this? And then they charge us for something. Bird treats. It's all natural and it's outside.
00:09:46
Speaker
but it's still their property you know like that's that's the thing that's the other thing where i've been like oh man people want to bring incense and i want to burn incense but we should not burn it inside yeah i was i was wondering about that i was like do we should i mean there might even be signs that say no burning candles or no burning anything indoors you know so which is fine it's gonna have to be outdoors and like i have seen um
00:10:13
Speaker
use you know the stick incense that has a little length that's not incense at the bottom um yeah that's what i have yeah like those if you like stick them in the ground yeah like that works then light them you know in the grass yeah i don't think it'll catch on the grass i think it depends on how tall the grass is probably but how and how wet it is yeah that's true but even still it's it's not even like really a flame by then it's just a little teeny and also like if we're burning if we're around it because we don't we're not you know number one rules of witchcraft is fire safety wow you don't leave it unattended
00:10:54
Speaker
right It's not technically a flame, but you don't leave it unattended. If we don't have an active fire lit, we can just stick it into the fire pit somehow. Yeah. And we could probably just have our incense like holders on the like concrete porch or whatever. Yeah.
00:11:09
Speaker
On the ground. Yeah. um But even if we do the pine cones, we could take them down before we leave. Yeah, or, you know, hang them further into the trees where they might not notice them until, like, much later.
00:11:22
Speaker
Yeah, or the weather will get them or bigger animals will get them down or something like that. Yeah. Okay, don't read all the things.

Wine-Making Techniques & Tools

00:11:31
Speaker
No, because i have one here okay that i want I want to I'm just flipping through.
00:11:39
Speaker
And it might be easy, although it's not going to be easy for the people who are flying in. to our solstice event. But making solar water.
00:11:50
Speaker
o Yeah. And I'm like, I'm curious. And I want your opinion on this. I don't want whether it's in this book or not.
00:12:02
Speaker
Okay.
00:12:04
Speaker
To make solar water on the solstice, do you think it should be exposed to the sun for the entirety of the day um solstice like sunrise to sunset i don't think that would matter as long as it's getting some energy from the sun from that day and don't think it has to be the entire day yeah so so i'm making my homemade wine ah yeah
00:12:35
Speaker
um i did making it Have you made it or started it already? Yeah, it's already. it has to It takes two weeks at the very least. So I started it this past weekend. Like Friday. um But I did not start any microgreens.
00:12:51
Speaker
So I might not. I mean, I could potentially still start some radish tomorrow because that only takes a week. But. Yeah, but it would have to be ready.
00:13:02
Speaker
I would cut it next Friday before we, yeah, before we drive. I mean, Friday. it would be like It would be like Thursday night before we drive. Okay, yeah.
00:13:14
Speaker
If I started it tomorrow. But, like, I don't know if I want to bother with all that, to be honest. Yeah, that's okay. i mean, ah it's understandable, but it is a lot. And it would have to survive...
00:13:27
Speaker
a car ride it would i would ziploc it and like put it in a cooler with ice and stuff it would be fine okay when they're super fresh cut they usually can like survive room temperature even for a while so but i do think um it'd be cool to make some solstice water yeah oh so what i was gonna say is because i'm making the ah the homemade wine i would like to put that out in the sun for a little while
00:13:57
Speaker
Yes. Would that be Friday day? um Friday is technically the solstice, but I think Saturday counts also. Because it's, I mean, it doesn't officially count. It doesn't, like, technically count.
00:14:14
Speaker
But, like, it's the same length of day. Yeah, because it's the night that's the ah longest, or the shortest night, I mean.
00:14:25
Speaker
Right. home Okay. oh yeah But you can always just put it in like direct sun in the car as long as you don't leave it for too long. Right. Because you don't want it to spoil. Right.
00:14:37
Speaker
and actually there's two different trains of thought on that that schools of thought oh yeah um yeah somebody was saying that it's okay to have some sun direct sunlight on it because it helps to kill whatever bacteria may be growing potentially oh or other pathogens um but it's yeast and yeast is I don't know weird but like yeah it's It's interesting.
00:15:08
Speaker
I mean, obviously, i am just learning about all this, but this is supposed to be the easiest possible thing to do to make homemade like alcohol. Yeah. Which is cool. I can't wait to try it.
00:15:21
Speaker
I bought a cool thing that people use who bottle wine. okay So when you have got your big, your bottle of your empty bottle that you're going to put your wine into, um there's a a thing you stick down into the bottle.
00:15:38
Speaker
The bottom, the bottom of it has a little pressure release button thingy. and then it's attached to a hose and the hose is got another kind of thing on the other end of it that goes into where the wine is being made, like the barrel or whatever they're making it in.
00:15:56
Speaker
So you put the thing in the empty glass wine bottle and you touch it to the bottom of the wine bottle and it like auto siphons from the other thing through the tube into the wine bottle.
00:16:11
Speaker
And then as it's getting full, you start to like lift up so that it's not going as fast. And then when it's full where you want it, you just pull it all the way off the bottom of the bottle.
00:16:24
Speaker
it's really ingenious i i found it on amazon but like it was it's a company like a home brewing company like they make this stuff and they invented this thing that does that that you put in there and it touches so yeah it's just and because you have more control over how much goes in without like accidents spilling over and things like that you know yeah would say i wonder how that is easier than like using a funnel and pouring it in you can visually see how how much is in there i will say because the container where the wine is being made has a lot of sediment at the bottom and you don't want that getting mixed up so you're trying not to tip it ah like you could technically take a cup and yeah like that's like a like out a measuring cup with a spout kind of thing and you know what i mean skim off the top
00:17:24
Speaker
Yeah. But it's just easier if you have the one end of the hose thing at the top of the liquid and then it's automatically going over and and and into the other thing. And it's just, you know what I mean? Okay.

Packing for the Solstice Event

00:17:38
Speaker
It's really fast and and simple and it's not, it wasn't super expensive at all. So I was willing to like, yeah, buy it. You know, what are you making yours in then?
00:17:50
Speaker
The container, the, the ocean spray bottle. ah The juice came in. Okay. So I don't think I knew what you were originally starting with also. Cran pineapple.
00:18:03
Speaker
Fucking dope. Yeah. Yeah. the the The video that I found that like talked about how to do it. He used four different types of juice and the best one that they made like they they did four bottles like all different types one was the apple juice one was like welch's grape juice one was like i can't remember and then there was cran cran pineapple and they said that the cran pineapple tasted the best that they were like super excited about it it was super yummy so that's what i bought you know
00:18:45
Speaker
Fuck yeah. i'm I'm honestly so excited to try it. And I going to say, you know what all of this is reminding me of? What? Do you remember Tequidla? Oh my god!
00:18:56
Speaker
The Tequidla! Tequidla! Oh god!
00:19:02
Speaker
Crazy. Oh man. Oh and it was so funny because it was from the guy that had made several different kinds yeah of infusions with varying, like various different types of liquor yeah and but he'd never tried it with tequila yet right and i was like well that's the one i want because you and i do margaritas yeah and uh so tried it out and he was like this is the best one he was like it's perfect like it it um
00:19:39
Speaker
I mean, it didn't fully mask the taste. Yeah. But it say it's from what it sounded like, it worked the best with the taste of oh fresh, not fresh flour, you know, dried and baked flour.
00:19:54
Speaker
hu ah Crazy. Yeah. I've got to make me some infusion. i got the i got technically the recipe from our other friend.
00:20:07
Speaker
Um, but hers was to make an Everclear, but I'm sure that it would work just fine with tequila. That'd be fucking fun.
00:20:18
Speaker
Yeah. It's going to be dope. I'm excited about it, dude. I can't wait. Oh, and I wanted to show you the but glass, um, wine bottles that I have.
00:20:29
Speaker
Cause I actually had a couple already from Meyer. Cause back when I first became a witch, I bought glass like jars and hello. Sorry about that.
00:20:41
Speaker
John's computer just made a crazy noise. um Like, cause I wanted to make moon water and stuff. So I bought these wine bottles to fill with water and put it on. You just started collecting jars the way that witches do.
00:20:55
Speaker
Yay. Yeah. So I was at Meijer when I was starting to think about doing all this and I found two more exactly the same as the ones I already had. So those are going to get put through the dishwasher and then those are will be what I fill. I'll have two, hopefully. Hopefully they'll both be full.
00:21:13
Speaker
um And bring them both with me and then we'll put them in the sun a little bit. Yeah. that day Before we partake. Yeah. And we can...

Witchcraft Tools & Personal Stories

00:21:25
Speaker
charge our crystals and stuff too. true I haven't done this yet, but I intend to message the group chat and give like a sort of preparatory overview of what to bring for ritual partaking.
00:21:45
Speaker
um And one of those things will be for for those that can bring them crystals, tools, etc.
00:21:55
Speaker
like whatever you would want to charge on a communal altar during ritual. o Do you know that I have ah bought myself an Athame that I have never used?
00:22:07
Speaker
I did not know that. Because I have never wanted to put it somewhere where a little man would find it. Right. And it's been in the box since I bought it. And I want to use it and I want to charge it and I want to do all the things.
00:22:22
Speaker
Do it. It's a, it's a sword. Wait, how long is it? It's probably like a foot long or something. It's pretty long. Damn. I wonder if I could, if I know where it is still and I can find it right now.
00:22:36
Speaker
just has an idea that you think I might bring it yeah yeah yeah um but for real and like you know I have you remember that like giant chunk of jade that I bought when like the first time you came out here when I was living here yeah yeah I want to bring that because that shit is so just like ah so powerful money baby money money baby So I'm going to bring my own like bag of witch stuff that's like just for altar and usage with ah magic.
00:23:16
Speaker
yeah Not even like crafty stuff. right That's like completely separate. I'm going to have so much. I'm going to have a clothing bag.
00:23:27
Speaker
going to probably have to have a snack bag, obviously, because it's a road trip. I'm going to bring my cooler so that if we do decide to do a picnic, we have a cooler to transport stuff in. Yeah.
00:23:38
Speaker
um goingnna have ah like I'm like, going to have to designate a tote to craft supplies that Sierra ordered it and shipped it to my house so that she wouldn't have to like fly with it.
00:23:49
Speaker
hu And then and don't know if there's any like craft tools that I'd be able to bring. i mean, scissors, but like there might be scissors there in the like kitchen and stuff.
00:24:01
Speaker
True. Um, I, thought I used to have a glue gun. I don't know where it is. It might still be at Matt's house. oh um And so I'm not sure. i have one, but i don't know exactly where it is. Yeah.
00:24:15
Speaker
But like, I can't actually, I might know if I find it. do you want me to bring my glue gun? Do it. Okay. Because as long as we have at least one, so that people can make uh brooms bisms even uh bosoms even if we had even if we have to make them all one at a time we can we can pass the we can pass the duchy the communal uh communal glue gun dude i it is a which is sharing the glue gun
00:24:47
Speaker
So I'm listening to Kushiel's Dart on... Yes! Finally! And I keep hearing the word duchy. And I have no idea what the hell that means, but there was that song in the 80s called Pass the Duchy or something like that.
00:25:02
Speaker
Oh yeah. I know it. When they're referring to... When they say duchy in Kushiel's Dart, they're referring to the estate of a duke.
00:25:14
Speaker
Like a dukedom. Okay. Okay. Like, a it's not just the title, but, like, all that comes with the title as well. Interesting. If there is somebody who knows more about that kind of stuff, and I'm not exactly right, please email us and tell us.
00:25:30
Speaker
Yeah, correct us. That is effectively what it means, is, like, you know, it's not the Duke, or if they're not referring to the person that is the Duke, but referring to, like, his title and entire estate, then they call it a duchy.
00:25:45
Speaker
Gotcha. But it's spelled differently. okay D-U-C-H-Y. Okay. ah Rather than D-U-T-C-H-I-E. Okay.
00:25:56
Speaker
I have no idea how either of them were spelled. Well, now you know how both of them are spelled. You're welcome. Okay, you know it all. I'm a Virgo!
00:26:10
Speaker
Anyway. Oh my goodness. Yeah. Yeah, gonna have that. Gonna have my but if after but but Biblically accurate angel wreath that I'm bringing to Alyssa. That's actually not mine. It's hers because she owns it because she paid for it. It's just living in my basement. The biblically accurate angel wreath.
00:26:33
Speaker
Oh my goodness. Which we talked about on our bonus episode also. um But gotta bring that. Gotta to make sure I don't forget it because holy fucking shit.

Midsummer Magic & Spell Work

00:26:45
Speaker
um I just know like there's something I'm going to forget and it better just be a toothbrush can you just like start making yourself a list of shit not to forget ADHD Christina ah fu but you're the list girl can still forget stuff but every time you think of something add it to the list so that way you've done that I've still forgotten things okay it's happened you're less likely to forget though It's inevitable.
00:27:17
Speaker
So I just hope that the thing that gets forgotten is a thing that's easy to buy and replace. Right. Like a phone charger or a toothbrush. Right. And even a phone charger I could probably borrow because like half the people in our group have iPhones.
00:27:30
Speaker
So. Yeah. Anyway.
00:27:34
Speaker
So much to bring. Yeah, dude. You know, i one of my new favorite decks, tarot decks that I purchased for myself back in October. has been like missing and I didn't know where it was.
00:27:49
Speaker
And I, it occurred to me and I still haven't checked to make sure that it's there, but it occurred to me that I believe I brought it with me to your house in November and just never took it out of my suitcase.
00:28:00
Speaker
So um it's probably in there. Oh, so it's still in your suitcase. It's probably still in my suitcase. I thought for a second that you were going to insinuate that you brought it here and then left it here. And I was I don't think I've seen an extra random one.
00:28:16
Speaker
paro deck. I don't think I ever completely finished unpacking my suitcase, so I need to like go through it But I remember the last like the last... Obviously, the last time I used it was when I came over there.
00:28:27
Speaker
So... there so When I pulled it out to pack Maisie went under the bed and didn't come out the whole day. Because she knew.
00:28:39
Speaker
Like, the suitcase, like, she knew. And I think that either she knew I was leaving and and was afraid I wasn't coming back, or was afraid of going... of traveling, like, like that I was going to take her with me and she didn't know either way. Right.
00:28:54
Speaker
So something bothered her about that. And she stayed under the bed like the entire day. And I didn't get to pull her out of there and take her to my friend's house, which is what I was going to do. Right. So this time around, um, this weekend, I'm going to pull it out and start cleaning it out and making sure there's nothing in there that I don't need, you know, and then putting things into it that I want to make sure I bring.
00:29:18
Speaker
And then I'll put it back in my kid's room out of the way. a You know, like, yeah, just till I'm ready to keep packing. But like, I want to keep from seeing it when you bring it out.
00:29:34
Speaker
Like this weekend? Yeah. I'm not worried about that. Because After I put it away and I'm still here, she will come out because she will know that I'm not going anywhere. Right.
00:29:47
Speaker
She'll, cause I'm, I'm here. She knows my smell and my sound. Yeah. so that's what I'm to try to do is ah desensitize her to it. So I'm going to get it out like two or three times between now and when I leave so that she gets used to me using it or going in and out of it without actually leaving Right. And then by the time I do leave, I'm probably just going to take it out to my car the night before I go.
00:30:16
Speaker
then I'll still be home. And then she'll know that I'm home. and then in the morning when I leave, it'll be like at any other morning when I leave, which is like a work day. Yeah. So hopefully she won't be like traumatized and stay under the bed like the entire day, you know? Yeah.
00:30:34
Speaker
Yeah. That made sense. Yeah. That's what I'm hoping is going to happen. Yeah. Anyway. Anyway.
00:30:45
Speaker
What other stuff do you want to talk about regarding Midsommar? Magic. What kinds of magic do you think is good for Midsommar? Because I have a little, not even a list. I have like a couple of bullet points, but like, I'm sure there's more than just what is here.
00:31:00
Speaker
Like I've got fairy magic, which always just makes me think of like a Midsummer Night's Dream. and and also divination specifically about love relationships and marriage ah i feel like there should be well there is for sure more that can be implemented in terms of like magical intention midsummer hmm midsum
00:31:32
Speaker
And I'm thinking in terms of like solar themes. I think of the sun. and i mean, I think abundance is not a far stretch because the sun provides abundance.
00:31:46
Speaker
The sun provides life. Yeah. um i In that vein too, the sun provides like, well, yeah, provides and is required for our health. And so I think health spell work.
00:31:58
Speaker
Yeah. Is a fucking excellent. idea for the solstice especially if it's something that's like been a major theme in your life like it has for been for mine for years and years now and ah feel like anything that's very action oriented like if like if you're manifesting things that action oriented such as like travel like opportunities for travel opportunities for work
00:32:31
Speaker
work what else help me I don't know I like the health thing yeah like energy like general yeah life force energy stuff exactly yeah that sounds right on the money as well as well as mental health because of like you know in the vein of vitamin d yeah like it's the longest day 100% yeah yeah
00:33:02
Speaker
Get you that d girl.
00:33:08
Speaker
Sex magic. Oh my goodness.

Humor and Wordplay on Self-Love

00:33:11
Speaker
and That's action oriented. That was Beltane, Molly. you Listen. Sex magic is for all of the holidays.
00:33:21
Speaker
And every other day. And like in that vein too, self-love. Uh-huh. And especially, well, okay, because that ties back into where it talks about, where the you know note that I had was divination about love.
00:33:39
Speaker
But like spell work about love. hu Self love and other love. Right. right Consensually. For your shizzle. Is it possible to have non-consensual self love? Yeah.
00:33:57
Speaker
That's the stupidest thing I've ever asked before. The absolute pretzel that my brain just tried to tie itself into. Oh my god, that's perfect. I love that.
00:34:13
Speaker
I love that visual. yeah
00:34:17
Speaker
Molly's pretzel brain.
00:34:26
Speaker
Oh no! That's the best. Oh my god. That's better than mental gymnastics. Just call it pretzel
00:34:43
Speaker
Oh my god. Wow. Non-consensual self-love. Self-love spells. I did not get my own permission to perform this spell.
00:34:59
Speaker
That's literally when the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.
00:35:09
Speaker
stop it no you stop it no you stop it i'm such a nerd i god
00:35:33
Speaker
oh just heard the ugly laugh We got kicked in the giggle dick. Oh my Love it.
00:35:46
Speaker
We're too much. I love that we just both muted ourselves at the same time. You just slurp and need a cough. Yeah. Seasonized mutation.
00:35:57
Speaker
Oh my god. We are definitely mutants. Yes.
00:36:10
Speaker
now i'm tired damn you was tired before that well

Coffee Habits and Energy Routines

00:36:15
Speaker
you know i'm always tired yeah i actually felt pretty fucking good today oh me too you know what i think i know I think I know what the secret is, honestly. What is my problem is when I make coffee in the morning, and because it's hot coffee, I can't just suck it down really fast, right? Yes.
00:36:37
Speaker
I'm like sipping on it throughout but the morning. Yeah, you need something to like chug. Right. So here, like quite a few times lately, John hasn't finished the pot of coffee from the day before.
00:36:52
Speaker
Like I leave him like half, like, you know, I make some and take half and leave him half. And then like, he doesn't drink it all. So the next morning I'm like, I'm not wasting this shit. So pour it into a cup and I put ice in it and I put, and I put some creamer and I just like tried to chug it down like as fast as I could. And I swear to God that that's made the difference a lot of times for me.
00:37:17
Speaker
So I'm wondering if I just need to buy Red Bull and chug a Red Bull in the morning before I go to work. I would not recommend that. um You could just brew ah pot of coffee the night before, pour it into a bottle, put it in the fridge. True.
00:37:37
Speaker
And then it's cold yeah in the morning. And you can put it into a, you know, a tumbler with ice or just like take it cold, like from the fridge right um you know and and mix it with your your creamer and everything yeah and then like and then you're good to go yeah and then you don't even need the hot coffee later right this is why i am like listen this is it's cold cold brew maintains supremacy over all other types of coffee and admittedly that's not cold brew that's iced coffee because iced coffee is brewed hot and then uh chilled but
00:38:18
Speaker
Cold brew is superior in all ways. Does it actually get like a lot of the caffeine out of the bean when it's cold brewed?
00:38:30
Speaker
Yeah, because it's it steeps for a long time. Yeah. Like between, i mean, absolute minimum 12 hours, but then it's still a little bitter.
00:38:42
Speaker
Ideally, Starbucks recipe steeps for at least 21 hours. Wow. wow And so 21 to 24 hours but is ideal.
00:38:53
Speaker
So if I buy a bottle of that stuff you buy from the store, is that cold brew? ah Yeah. I mean, there's some that are iced coffee and some that are cold brew. You just have to what's on the bottle. Okay. I'll get either one. don't like Starbucks iced coffee from the Starbucks, you know, locations.
00:39:16
Speaker
It just doesn't taste as good. to me um but your own brew my own cold brew right yeah um but i also if i'm going to starbucks i only get the cold brew but on the flip side i don't like the duncan cold brew but i do like duncan iced coffee interesting so um yeah It's weird that Duncan has any level of superiority over Starbucks, but whatever. Yeah. But yeah you should you should just brew some the night before, stick it in a bottle, hu bring it with you.
00:39:56
Speaker
Not a bad idea. Do it.
00:40:00
Speaker
And just chug it like all the way to work. Yeah, or just like drink half of it to start and then you can sip it after that. Right. You have to check it the whole time. that'll just like That's like unsustainable.
00:40:14
Speaker
he I know. I need to have something to be able to drink a little bit while I'm driving. yeah i don't really always want it to be water because i don't like to have to pee really super bad by the time I get to school.
00:40:28
Speaker
I'm like, I'm going piss my pants. And water will do that to me if I'm drinking it consistently enough. Well, that's the point of water. Exactly.
00:40:39
Speaker
yeah Exactly. Can talk about why my day wasn't terrible?

Plant Medicine & Mental Clarity

00:40:45
Speaker
Today? Yeah. yeah Because I had brought it up and then we got sidetracked. You're right. Because I was talking about my coffee situation that actually helping Yeah.
00:40:56
Speaker
What's think, I really think, I mean, it's the plant medicine. Mm-hmm. um it's like affecting so many different things. It's like not only affecting my mood, but it's affecting my ability to like, I keep everything in my brain. I keep being like, but not only this, but also this, but not only this, but also this.
00:41:21
Speaker
And i'm like, okay, I don't even know where to start. So here we go. It's affecting my mood overall. Better for the better. so For the better. it is also affecting my Ability to break out of like routine ruts and just like do something different because I can and not have to have a reason for it and just do it, which also affects or it like it's a it's impacting you know in a sense, my flow state, which is kind of kind of the same thing, but not exactly the same thing.
00:42:04
Speaker
But like my ability to like maintain a flow state where I just where I'm able to flow with whatever I do. And not have to have like jarring like mental battles to try to get myself to do something different than what I have always done.
00:42:23
Speaker
Yeah. Because for some reason those things those two things are registering as separate. Cause it's like, there's the ability to deviate from my regular routine in the first place at all.
00:42:35
Speaker
And then there's also my ability to have that, have those deviations go well internally that my inability to deal with abrupt change is for sure ah like one touch of the tism for me um and i don't even know if it's a thing that's actually comorbid with adhd it might be i ah could be i think it could be but like they say that tism is definitely comorbid well it is it is it's like 80 comorbid with adhd and so i'm like i'm not sure if this
00:43:18
Speaker
The, like, inability to to deal with abrupt change is one of those things that crosses over and occurs in both circumstances or if it's just a tism thing.
00:43:31
Speaker
Right. But, like, even still, it's fine. Like, yesterday, i told you, when I got breakfast in the morning yesterday, when I, like, started to turn...
00:43:47
Speaker
out to the left out of my driveway saw that there were cars backed up all the way down like the cross street.
00:43:58
Speaker
Yeah. And like, that's the the way I would go to the Duncan. That's super close that I can get, you know, zip through the drive through super fast usually. And I was like, that's weird because there's never traffic there.
00:44:12
Speaker
So I don't trust that and I'm not dealing with it. So like I was able to, and this is so minor. It's, it seems so minor and yet it like, it was so significant to me.
00:44:24
Speaker
was able to just like flip the switch, turn the other direction, go the other way out of my neighborhood and down to the like cool local place.
00:44:34
Speaker
That's not a chain and, and get delicious coffee, coconut iced coffee. because it's summertime bitch an amazing because what because it's summertime bitch okay gotcha what did you think i said i couldn't understand what you said just didn't make any sense like it didn't sound like words
00:44:59
Speaker
it's summertime bitch um coconut iced coffee and then what and a breakfast sandwich yummy what kind um mass breakfast sandwich reuben breakfast sandwich oh on a garlic bagel i was stanky yesterday oh i bet was you farting too after sauerkraut no no that doesn't make me fart oh god sauerkraut makes me fart everything makes you fart Literally everything makes me fart. That's a gaseous vegetable like by nature. You're a gaseous human. No, I'm telling you. no I'm telling you. habitbbage
00:45:40
Speaker
there is so much that makes you fart that does not make me fart. Yeah, it's true. yeah I have stomach issues or something. i don't know what the fuck. you have You got that vata in you. That vata disposition or whatever they call it yeah I need to do my research about that and change stuff.
00:45:59
Speaker
I think. yeah But I love cabbage and I'm never going to stop eating things that are made out of cabbage. yeah um It's I mean within reason because I think the thing with vata is you can't do so much. I mean cabbage raw vegetables are a little harder on vata.
00:46:20
Speaker
But cooked is a little different. So cabbage stew manageable cabbage soup yeah cabbage soup is the bomb stuff can i I've got the uh what was mine pitta yeah the pitta one that's the fire one just a furnace you put anything in me and it'll like ah burn all the way up we've got that stomach acid that'll just consume it has no effect um yeah
00:46:54
Speaker
I'll fart, but just normal farts. Unless I've had like an enormous amount of beans that make everybody fart.
00:47:07
Speaker
Does broccoli and cauliflower not make you fart? No. God damn, dude. They're cruciferous. You're vata as fuck. They make people fart like normal people.
00:47:19
Speaker
They don't make me be fart in a way that's noticeable. Okay. Okay. If I fart, I'm just like, that was going to happen anyway, I'm sure. ah It's like, yeah, I don't know. i just don't have that that kind of constitution. That's the word, constitution, that um is heavily impacted by but I consume.
00:47:43
Speaker
hu You just think you're special. No, i'm not special. There's a lot of people like me. Yeah.
00:47:53
Speaker
There's a lot of people out there like me. my god. my god and
00:48:01
Speaker
oh but yeah super special because i fart all the time you are the specialist i
00:48:12
Speaker
i walked into julie's earlier and i stopped like and you know like you walk in and you turn left down the hallway and then it like opens up into like the kitchen area so I mean, don't know, but, like, I believe you. I've never been there. As soon as, like, where, you know, i I walked into where she could see me where she was sitting in the living room, I stopped dead in my tracks, looked at her, and, like, farted.
00:48:44
Speaker
is our normal bullshit stuff that we do. It's, like, always centric. It's hilarious. Ugh. yeah woof
00:48:55
Speaker
anyway i just I the last like yesterday and today were totally manageable for me like that's awesome ah in just a way that I was like i mean I wasn't even like the last time I had to miss or the the last time i had to work through lunch I was consumed with rage about it mm-hmm And like, I even had eaten while I was working.
00:49:26
Speaker
So I wasn't, it wasn't even that I was hungry. It was that like, I was so angry at how hard, ah how much I had to do and how hard I had to work. And there were other factors, but like today and worked through my lunch and I wasn't necessarily hungry, so I didn't eat, but like, was like, it's whatever.
00:49:46
Speaker
It's fine. I'm getting paid for it. True. True. staying clocked in the whole time right so yeah so like it just it was okay and then i left work and i didn't even leave directly at five i left at 5 30 so nine straight hours and i drove home and it was sunny and i put on music which like i haven't been listening to music a lot lately and it's mostly because i've been listening to audiobooks too much but
00:50:20
Speaker
I put on music and the sun was shining and I like pulled my truck off while I was sitting in the car and I pulled the straps of my tank top off. So i was actually wearing a tube top then. Cause I was just like, i just want like, you know, full open shoulders, you know, i mean, this is with every tank top or cami or whatever, but like they're always sliding off or rolling off my shoulders.
00:50:49
Speaker
And I was like, I don't to fucking deal with that because I'm always just hiking them up. So I've been lately solving that problem by just bringing the cami straps down, wearing it like a tube top.
00:51:04
Speaker
And it's like, but that's, again, that's the thing. It's like, and only just started doing that. And cami straps have been driving me crazy since I was like 13 years old. Oh my goodness.
00:51:17
Speaker
but And it's like, it's suddenly... Like I, I'm just experiencing life as being bearable because I am making accommodations for myself without having to have a whole debate about it internally.
00:51:35
Speaker
hu Yep. And it's just like, I'm just doing it and it doesn't matter. Yeah, exactly. It's like, there's no consequences to doing things differently now.
00:51:48
Speaker
And it's so fucking freeing. Yeah, dude. Yeah. so That's awesome. I love that. And it's changing like the energy that I reside in.
00:52:01
Speaker
Which is hopefully going to change more things about life.
00:52:09
Speaker
Better manifestation. Exactly.

00:55:08
Speaker
Four weeks from now will be about when we started to actually record. Was it in the middle of July? July. yeah Oh my God. It was like at least middle, maybe two more toward at the end. I can't remember the exact date, but like, yeah, because we, I know we didn't release anything till August 13th.
00:55:31

00:56:02
