Anecdotes and Morning Antics

00:00:27
Speaker
So today is a full moon. it is a It's a full moon in Aries. And you want to talk about your your little activity this morning? Why, of course.
00:00:43
Speaker
yeah the This morning, I mooned the moon.
00:00:52
Speaker
on my way to my car before going to work. Which was what, 4.30 in the morning? Five. Five in the morning? Yeah. 5.03 I think was the timestamp on my security camera in the front of my house, which recorded me.
00:01:08
Speaker
yeah ah Of course, my but my butt was not actually on camera. Thank God. No, was it like toward the street or something? Like I didn't, I i couldn't tell where the moon was. The moon was, if if you walked out onto my porch and looked up to the left, it was a hard left. Okay. So you couldn't see it from the camera. Technically, yeah, I was gonna say in the direction of the camera's angles, but like further. Further back and way up high. Right, right.
00:01:38
Speaker
I walked out and I looked up and saw it and went, okay, it's now or never. Yeah. Yeah. When it's that ah early in the morning, there's not really a risk of anybody kept like seeing you. so I looked around and like all the houses were dark and there's no lights on in any bedroom windows or anything weird. like so you know, it looked like everybody was sleeping. So I was like, yep. And then the second I had my pants down, I heard a car coming up the street and I was like, Oh, shit. So I pulled them up as fast as I could. And like my half my butt was still hanging out.
00:02:16
Speaker
there about And then I just pulled my shirt down the front and turned around and faced the street so like nobody would suspect anything weird. And then god and then they they passed by and I walked down the three steps to like my driveway and decided to do it again because I was short changed.
00:02:36
Speaker
this So I did it again and I held it for about a second or two longer. good honestly honestly i mean you said that oh like the energy of aries full moon is maybe too intense and you mooned the wrong kind of moon but personally i think that aries full moon is exactly the right moon to moon ah so that's awesome It's just like chaos energy i but So, you know the credible the video and the message that I sent you about it this morning Yeah, I sent them to Amy and Julie as well
00:03:17
Speaker
Oh my God. What did they say? Well, the funny thing is actually amy Amy's bus is two buses over from more mine parks and she's already on her bus getting ready to leave when I get there. So I ran over to her bus really quick and I told her. And like the thing is she's having a hard time lately. Her sciatica is flared up really bad. Oh.
00:03:40
Speaker
and um She's been in a lot of pain in the last couple of days. So I, I just thought, I hope that this makes her laugh. It brings her a little bit of relief for a couple of minutes. yeah Sure enough, she was just like laughing. She was just like, Oh my God. Are you kidding me? That's incredible. Nope. Oh my God. The flame looks like a tiny little witch hat right now. um I wish that you could like see it, but it's too bright in the camera. It just looks like a circle.
00:04:08
Speaker
Yeah, it was like the perfect shit, because it was, it was like in a perfect circle on the top with the perfect point. Like it wasn't like a big long flame, it was like a perfect point, and it was flared out at the bottom. Oh, cute. Yeah. It was really cute. um o And now I'm getting dust everywhere, or ash everywhere. And I forgot to send you a picture, but I'm gonna cut it right now.
00:04:33
Speaker
Julie picked out a couple of amazing, they're not Squishmallow brand, but they look just like Squishmallows and they feel just like them. Sam's Club had them for sale and she found them on her website. thanks Excuse me, I'm going to lose my voice again.
00:04:49
Speaker
for no apparent reason, just because, you know, we're recording. So of course my voice is going to fucking take a hike on me. Okay. I'm sending you pictures. o The first one is the one I got on the second one. She, she bought for you or? Yeah. Oh my goodness.

Birthday Celebrations and Plans

00:05:06
Speaker
It's a purple witchy cat. And it's a squishmallow. It's super soft and squishy and it has pockets. Oh my goodness. You know, like, you know, you know, like the old fashioned muff things that you like put your hands in.
00:05:19
Speaker
yeah or like Yeah. Or like your sweatshirt pocket that goes straight through. Totally. Touch your hands in the middle. Yeah, it has pockets like that. You can stick your hands straight through. hu It's so cool. Those are precious. They're really cute. And they actually even had a skeleton one and a pumpkin one as well.
00:05:37
Speaker
The pumpkin one was hard to pass up. I was like, I don't know if he's going to like a pumpkin one or not, but I thought the black vampire bat would be a little bit cooler for a boy. Yeah. So did you all go together or? Oh, she bought she found them online and ordered them. Oh, okay. I got you. Nice.
00:05:55
Speaker
So, you know what Tuesday was, Molly? Tuesday was your birthday. Hee hee. Happy heavy birthday to me, bitches. Happy birthday to you. Uh, so, okay. Y'all went out to dinner. Um, and I don't think I heard how, how it was. Me and Julie and, yeah, ah me and Julie and my kid We all went to a pizza place called the Green Lantern, and it's pretty good. and um We've been there a couple of times before, and they have gluten-free pizza crusts, so Julie can mow down without being sicky. Good, good, good. Yeah. That's awesome. and We each had a drink, just one drink. Nice. But I'm having one right now. Oh yeah? What'd you get? What do what do you got?
00:06:51
Speaker
She found these pink Jose Cuervo margarita things, and I think it's like a raspberry colada flavored margarita. Ooh, that sounds really good. Yeah, I can see it's pink. Yeah. That's nice. Is it just like individual bottle sizes or cans? No. Oh, okay. It's just like a full size bottle like the kind I get at Costco. Noice. Yeah. Deskewed.
00:07:18
Speaker
But yeah, did you do anything else for your birthday? You are youre our celebrating again tomorrow, you mentioned. Yeah. Where are y'all going tomorrow? Ooh, my new favorite restaurant

Thanksgiving and Holiday Excitement

00:07:29
Speaker
in the besides, of course, Mexican Village. Nothing will ever top Mexican Village. It's ah it's a new second favorite ah called O'Hallerans, and it's like an Irish pub. Oh, fuck yeah. I went there twice this summer. Yeah. um One day when I had time by myself.
00:07:48
Speaker
And it didn't work. So I had a couple of these amazing martini drinks that they had for the summer that were super fruity and super yummy. yu And then maybe it was like a week later, me and Julie and my son went o like for my second time. And her and I each had that drink and it was like a August special for the month. And then the day before John's birthday, we went there again and we had a couple of those as well.
00:08:16
Speaker
So yeah, those drinks were so good. And I don't know what they have for October, but I'm sure it's something really good because you know, October. So that wait, so that's where you're planning on going tomorrow. Yeah. So yeah, I was there three times this in August, actually three times. Nice. So I'm excited because I'm having a couple old friends join me and Julie and they can all meet each other. Hell yeah. No, that's gonna be awesome. Yeah. Love that. I'm excited. Yeah.
00:08:45
Speaker
Oh my god, I would wish that I could join. I totally wish you could join too. Yeah. Sorry about my voice. You're fine. I don't know if we're going to cut it out, but like I just want to take a brief moment and like talk about the flight you bought. Yeah, I was just going to bring it up. Yeah, I wanted to talk about it just like just in general because we haven't really gotten the chance to. There's also a special thing about the time that I'm landing back in Detroit. 444. Yeah.
00:09:19
Speaker
Yeah. Told you. That was the number that keeps popping up for me. Yes. That's great. Yeah. Okay. So it's Wednesday night. Yeah. Wednesday night, 8.51 PM. Okay. And then you have to have me back at the airport by like probably one o'clock. Yeah.
00:09:37
Speaker
After I purchased the flight, a thing popped up that said, I had a free two month trial for the clear thing, which is like you get through security without waiting in line. Oh, fuck yeah. So I took it. Oh my God. That's amazing. Because the night before Thanksgiving, I'm guessing travel might be a little hellish. It's going to be fucking nuts. Yeah. Yeah. And so I thought, well, if I can skip like an hour long security, I mean, potentially not that long, but you never know. Yeah. In any case, I'm really glad that you're coming.
00:10:09
Speaker
I'm excited. I'm so fucking excited. I can't wait because you've sure talked up Boston and and New England for Thanksgiving. Oh it'sgiving The leaves are gone by that point, but like there is just such like an energy, like ah like a magical energy to New England in thanks like during Thanksgiving and during like the holidays in general. Cool.
00:10:32
Speaker
Yeah. Um, and I'm going to plan on getting everything like for Thanksgiving ahead of time, like groceries and stuff. And and we can talk about like, obviously we'll do a Turkey, but like we can talk about any other like sides we want to do. Um, cause like, I like to sort of change some of those up every so often. Like I like the green bean casserole, obviously. Oh yeah.
00:10:57
Speaker
But like you know I've done like mac and cheese on the side before. I've done like chili cranberry sauce meatballs before. I've done pumpkin risotto.
00:11:10
Speaker
mashed potatoes, obviously, and stuffing and stuff. Yeah, amazing. But yeah, we can like see if there's anything particular that we want to make. I don't think we should go crazy, though. like i don't It's not gonna be like crazy crazy, because some of the stuff is easy as hell. like The stuffing, I always just do stage stuffing, and I usually do instant mashed potatoes, but like we can do real ones if you feel like it.
00:11:36
Speaker
because also like if we both make it together like it'll be that much easier like rather than just like one of us so yeah okay i'm so so happy i'm so happy um yeah let's record let's talk about aliens and then we can talk more about the trip oh and i want to say thank you for my birthday presents
00:12:00
Speaker
Super cute, super adorable. And I cannot wait to read them two awesome books. I can't remember the exact titles, but one is like the Libra Witch or something like that. And like, yeah, yeah. The other one was la something about mushrooms and... Mystical mushrooms. yeah Yeah. I'm just like so excited. But I have so many books to read and I'm like, ah, what do I do? I'm gonna bring some with you.
00:12:25
Speaker
Oh God. i get him I guess then we are soft launching that you're coming to Thanksgiving. I don't know if I'll have room because I'm not bringing a carry on. It's going to have to be a personal item again. That's true. Yeah. Because they just want way too much money. It's so stupid. Yeah. Maybe you have room for one book, a little one. Definitely. Sweet. Love it. I also have tons of books here though, if you ever get bored. I won't get bored.
00:12:50
Speaker
I know you won't. you will I don't get bored. That's true. That's one cool thing about being severely ADHD.
00:13:00
Speaker
Not to mention, we just have way too much fun. We definitely do. When we're together. And I know like you always want to keep me entertained, so I will never be bored.
00:13:11
Speaker
I'm like the ultimate host. The hostess with the mostest tail. Yeah. Plus like, we're going to figure out, uh, recording, like how to record here. yeah So, um, do I need hope that we can. I can't bring my microphone, can I? Probably couldn't.
00:13:29
Speaker
Oh, if you're not able to fit it. Yeah. And I would be afraid of damaging it. That's true. Well, that's a good point, but you know, we can make it work. Cool. It can't get any worse than when we recorded for the Anahata's episode. Yeah. so if yeah we We made it work then. Yeah, it was just really quiet. It was like, if we can make it work there, then we can definitely make it work here. But yeah.
00:13:59
Speaker
Yeah, tons

Alien Abductions and Beliefs

00:14:01
Speaker
of stuff. But you wanted to talk about aliens. Yeah, I got aliens on the brain. I'm reading a book. Yeah. It's kind of freaky. o But it's good. So far, it hasn't scared me away from finishing it. And I'm actually a little more than halfway through now. And that's pretty good for me. Damn, that's good.
00:14:20
Speaker
I'm impressed. It's only a 300 page, you know, a small book, but it could take me a couple of weeks to read a book like that. And I haven't been consistently reading every single day, but it's really easy to get sucked into. It's one of those ones where I'm not like, my mind isn't constantly floating off. yeah like hard It holds my attention. Yeah. I was going to say like, that happens to me too often where I'm just like,
00:14:48
Speaker
completely unable to focus on a single paragraph. and'm like ah I guess when I hit that point, usually I'm just like, okay, I just can't. I got to like put this away and come back later. like yeah yeah yeah This one isn't like that. um It might take me a couple seconds to like get into like you know get reabsorbed into it. but Yeah, for the most part, I can stay really focused on it. But anyway, the book is called, you know what, give me one second, because I want to be able to say his name without screwing it up. Okay. I did want to ask like, what's the like structure of the book? Is it like one person writing about their own experiences? Is it one person who did a bunch of research about a bunch of experiences? Like,
00:15:32
Speaker
No, okay it's a true story of his actual abductions. And it's very- Is it the one that was mentioned or talked about on the Wish Bitch Amateur Hour? I don't know. It might have been. Okay. No. i know there was there was There was one that was referenced for like at least one or two spooky codes that Macy used.
00:15:55
Speaker
No, this that one was the one where the guy was the psychologist or something and he was interviewing people and like he had one guy in particular that like I remember the story at was really scary. No, this guy, it's his firsthand account of his own experiences and he was an author to begin with. So he was he had written so a couple of books.
00:16:20
Speaker
before this happened to him. Okay. Wow. Because usually when people have those experiences, apparently they're like well over the course of their lives, multiple different, like starting in childhood. Right. Let me clarify. kind had He had abductions in childhood, but he didn't remember them. right like His memory was very skewed about a number of different things throughout his life.
00:16:43
Speaker
Gotcha. And it turns out that they have a mechanism to be able to put fake memories in our brains so that we can't remember what happened. But he went under um hypnosis and then he was able to recall.
00:16:59
Speaker
a lot of detail. So the book is called Communion. It's a true story. It says it right underneath Communion. The author's name is Whitley Stryber. And I don't know if I'm saying it incorrectly or not, so excuse me. But it's W-H-I-T-L-E-Y. So I think it's Whitley, but it could be Whitley or some other thing. Whitley sounds right. Yeah. And then Stryber or Strieber. S-T-R-I-E-B-E-R.
00:17:29
Speaker
Anyhow, it came out in like 86 or something, 86 or 87. For you youngins, that means 1986 or 1987. Oh my God, so weird.
00:17:44
Speaker
There's a lot of youngins who are not familiar with the 1900 phrasing. I hate the whole like, you were born in the 1900s? No shit. Oh my God. Because we're only 24 years into the 2000, except for like people born in the year 2000 are 24 now, which is fucking weird. Anyway, that's not what we're here to talk about. Yeah, this book is so good. um it's It's kind of freaky, but he kind of does a good job of talking about how when he starts recalling the experiences, he relives the feelings, the emotions of what he was going through during the times of the abduction abductions. And he talks about being terrified and like scared and all these things, right? But then they have like, I don't know, the aliens. They're so far advanced for Moss.
00:18:40
Speaker
so They have things that calm him down almost immediately and it's like just looking. I don't know, like just looking at him. Like methods or something. They can like psychically send stuff or something. But then there was a thing that they touched him with that was like a silver wand, like a little rod. They just touched the side of his brain, like side of his head. Brain, sorry. Head. Because you're going with me. Most of the time your brains aren't hanging out of your head. Let's hope that God is not ever happening for you.
00:19:15
Speaker
Anyway, so yeah they touched like his temple or the side of his head with this thing and I don't know exactly like what they did with it but he's I think at one point he said that he he it hurt like but gave him a headache, I think at one point, but I could be wrong about that. But yeah, so the one, there's another podcast that I listened to. The one host um mentioned that he read it when he was younger and now I don't know if he was a teenager or like early twenties or some kind of thing like that, but I believe he was still living at home. I'm not sure. Anyhow, he said he started reading this book and it was freaked him out so bad that he couldn't sleep and he was freaking out at night and his mom told him to stop reading it.
00:19:57
Speaker
So I think he was living with his mom at the time. So um I mean, that's how it felt anyhow. yeah yeah So he was a younger person, but obviously that piqued my interest because I'm a glutton for punishment. I was like, yeah, bring it on. I can't wait to be terrified and shit my pants. I mean, like, you know, let's do it.
00:20:20
Speaker
Oh my God. So anyway, there's been, you know, there's been things that made me think and get a little freaked out at night lying in bed, but I don't know. I guess I could say that they typically, they're sneaky fuckers. Oh my God. They, as for the impression I'm getting.
00:20:44
Speaker
is that they typically go to areas that are remote trying to get people. So like people who are driving in the like in a remote rural road. Yeah, not like somebody living in like a 14th story apartment in New York City or something. like yeah Yeah. But this guy had a place in New York as well, and he made it sound like stuff happened to him there too. so Okay. That kind of freaks me out. but anyhow It's less likely to happen when there's a lot of people around apparently, you know. ah That would kind of be like par for the course, I guess. So anyway, he grew up in Texas, which we know some people there. And I don't know how rural the area was that he grew up in, but then he had, you know, had this like apartment in New York at some point. And then there's like a cabin that they go to. And I want to say it's upstate New York, but the cabin is where
00:21:42
Speaker
that there was two recent occurrences happened before he started writing the book. Okay. In the like mid 80s, like 84, 85. And they were around the holidays. One was in October, like the first week of October. And the second one was like right around Christmas, the day before or day after or something kind of like that. Anyway, it's it's pretty freaky. and I mean, I don't really know and if I want to talk about what's in the book too much, but yeah I want to bring in like, i I guess first I want to like address the fact that you are talking about it like you do believe everything. Oh, yeah. And so like, where do you stand on that, like on all of that?
00:22:27
Speaker
like Yeah, exactly. Okay. So I think that most people have heard this reasoning before, but like as a teenager or young adult, I would say, I think it's kind of arrogant of us to think that we are the only people in this entire universe, like the only intelligent life in this entire universe. That's kind of stupid.
00:22:49
Speaker
um Because look at how vast it is and it's like it goes on forever and ever. Like they haven't found the end of space yet. You know what I'm saying? So there's no way that we're the smartest ones because look how fucked up we all are.
00:23:05
Speaker
There's got to be smarter ones out there. like And so that's my belief, my reasoning. It's like, yeah. And then, uh, you know, you hear enough stories and people have so many similarities between how they are describing what these things look like. And the cool thing, or well, I don't know if you might call it cool, but whatever in the book, the writer, the author, he describes a few different types that he'd encountered over the years.
00:23:33
Speaker
Hmm. Some of them are scarier than others, but I wanted to say, this is really interesting. I can't remember which episode we were recording, but I want to talk about that show, the Gaia channel. Oh, the Great EU is the power of green episode.
00:23:51
Speaker
was it? Oh, yes. Okay. Yes. So I think I was talking about how this a series called channeling dead smack in the middle. There was this one random episode that was nothing like the rest of the episodes. It was so weird.
00:24:08
Speaker
a panel of like four guys that are like scientists in different areas. And the one guy was like, I don't know if you want to say scientist, he must've been a scientist of some sort, but he was in the military. So he's privy to certain things. And like talked about the Roswell thing. Talked about how they actually did have alien bodies, like, or at least an alien body or something like that. Like captured or held in some place.
00:24:38
Speaker
in some facility on the grounds there. And he said that this one got out and they had to chase it down in the woods or whatever, like the area like near where this facility was.
00:24:51
Speaker
Yeah. I don't think there are woods in Roswell, but. Yeah. Yeah. I know. It's like, that's a desert. I know, but it was like, so maybe it was a little off from there, but it was like, I don't know. I think he, I think he may have described chasing it in the woods. I don't remember for sure, but they had to chase it down. I think it was at night. He said that this one looked like a praying mantis and I shit you not. I just read a page in the last couple of days in this book.
00:25:18
Speaker
where he described one that he encountered that looked like a praying mantis. Hmm. And now we have two different accounts, two different people. I kind of doubt that Whitley would have like had premonitions of like this guy in the 2020 somethings talking about a praying mantis looking alien. And like, did that guy read communion? I don't know. Maybe, but like he was there and witnessed some of that shit. And he had heard about this, this, I don't think he was part of the chase down, but like he had heard of the story about that.
00:25:52
Speaker
And he told that story and I thought, well, praying mantis, that's freaky. And then I read that in the book and I went, huh, this can't just be a coincidence, right? yeah yeah So yeah, that's a little, little freaky, but you know, it's I feel for these people who've dealt with these encounters that are suffering from it, like PTSD shit, you know, yeah I would not envy them. Not at all. But I think they need to be believed. Like their stories need to come out.
00:26:29
Speaker
more. um would time so I mean, there are plenty of stories, but I feel like there's still a lot of stigma that people are just not telling stories. So like, there's probably a lot more people out there that have had these encounters that haven't talked about it. Yeah. And that's, that's the thing is that like, there is such a stigma that like, I feel is crazy. I think it's crazy that there is. And yet I'm still like, I still feel it. I'm feeling it like in my body right now.
00:26:57
Speaker
where like as we talk about this, like there's still something in me that gets on edge about how much disbelief there is out there about it, and how those people who don't believe tend to receive hearing about people who do believe, whether they've had an encounter or not, like that they tend to get almost like hostile sometimes to be like you can't like you're such an idiot how can you possibly believe that stuff and it's like it makes me nervous
00:27:31
Speaker
I don't know why, like it's making me nervous I think from like a like this is a public platform now where we're talking about this shit and like anybody can listen to it and like not that I feel concerned about the way that people would judge us for talking like we believe but that like that I think that's just it really is just like coming from the intense stigma yeah where I'm just like I don't know. People people get so upset over people believing about these encounters or about these like stories. and like I don't know. Maybe it is because of fear that people get that upset. Yeah. That's what I was going to say. I think people live so small. People live so... I don't even know how to describe it. In their little bubble.
00:28:25
Speaker
Yeah, and sheltered. that Yeah, but like they don't want to like think largely like large. They don't want to think big. They don't want to think of stuff that's outside of their own little tiny reality. you know It's not necessarily sheltered, but it's just they're not open-minded, so yeah they don't want to believe anything that anyone else has to say about something different, right but right whatever.
00:28:49
Speaker
i mean We could be completely wrong and I'm completely fine with that. Yeah, like and i'm I honestly like I am in the same boat as you where I'm like, it's not necessarily that I think like, oh, it's so arrogant for people for humanity to think that we're the only ones.
00:29:06
Speaker
the intelligent the only intelligent like species or or like life planet out there. um I just think like it's straight up not possible that we're the only ones. like it's It has like arrogance for me. It doesn't come into it. It's just like it's just not possible right right from a from a probability standpoint. but yeah like and just Personally, I don't think it's possible that we're the only ones out there. But also, like I feel like it's impossible for me to speak with any sort of confidence You know, right like, just because like, I've never had an encounter. And I don't, I don't have repressed memories. Like, I know people who have repressed memories say that because they don't know that they do. But like, I don't, like, I really don't, like, I've never, I've never, you know, gone unconscious, like, ah outside of like, a medically induced, you know, like, ah anesthesia induced sort of state, like, I've never gone unconscious in my entire life. like I am hyper aware of like everything that happens to me at any given moment. and so like i just like i i amm like i I don't feel confident in talking about like what I believe is actually out there, or what's visiting us, or what you know what people are having all these experiences with. but i also like I do have a little fear, but I'm also not afraid yeah either.
00:30:31
Speaker
like I think that if I were put in a position of the people who are adopt abducted, then I would absolutely experience that fear. But I'm also like, if they're out there and they're watching us, like how much worse can it get? yeah Don't ask that question. yeah Don't ask that question. Knock on wood. But honestly, like ah just I'm just...
00:30:57
Speaker
yeah There's a part of me that's just sort of like, whatever, man. They're really theyre out there like, what the fuck ever? You know, like, and I, like I said, I think it's statistically impossible that were the only ones, so like I know they're out there, but I also like kind of don't care. It's it's not something that's ever, aside from the occasional like documentary about people's experience watching it like seeing UFOs and stuff, like it's not something that's ever really
00:31:31
Speaker
intensely grabbed my interest or attention, but I think that's mostly because like so many of the like experiences people talk about like are like it's like impossible to document. you know right like Even UFO sightings, like you get like one clip and it could be like a smudge in the sky yeah and like you you have no idea what it actually is. like The best we get is like people's accounts, which I am perfectly fine believing, but it's like hard to stay interested when there's like not like evidence to back any of it up. Right. So for me, I'm just like, sure, they're probably there. But i yeah, like, i you know, for from a creep factor standpoint, like having the interest in like, Oh, like, I want to be scared, like, sure, but also, I don't know,
00:32:24
Speaker
Like it's just a, it's such a weird subject. Cause it's like, it's right on the border of like everybody who's sane and believes in aliens, but also everybody who's insane believes in aliens. Like it doesn't, like it just, it's like it exists in such a gray area that I have a hard time making sense of it. You know? Yeah.
00:32:48
Speaker
Well, nothing is black and white. Nothing is. Nothing is. Especially not the greys. Oh, they're for sure not black and white.
00:33:00
Speaker
Because that's actually what some of them are called. I know. The greys. aliens aliens aliens oh my goodness you know what the fuck is his name uh yeah yeah yeah george georgios georgio suculos something like georgio suculos i remember that sucralose sucralose um I remember Jenna Marbles would talk about him all the time. Oh God. Georgios Zukulos. So did I ever show you the picture that we took of the wee child when he was like a month old or two months old?
00:33:41
Speaker
ah When we would wash his hair after baths, his hair would get kind of curly. ahhu And you know, he was born with a full head of hair, like long hair, kind of like you were. Just like me. Yeah. And so after his bath, his hair would curl up and we made it stand up.
00:33:58
Speaker
Oh yeah. He took a picture of him. I held him off to the side as best as I could, like one hand under his butt and one behind his back. And John took a picture of him and did the whole like, oh, what was the phrase that he said? It's aliens or whatever it was, the phrase that he said. I honestly don't know. I only, I've only seen the meme where all he says is aliens. Oh no, because aliens or something like that.
00:34:29
Speaker
anyway Yeah, so he made the whole like the history channel logo in the picture and everything. Yeah, I have to look for that. Oh my God. We we watched that show quite a bit in the past. Yeah, I used to watch it too.
00:34:45
Speaker
And so, yeah, i I know that it got a lot of... caught a lot of slack or whatever you want to call it for... It's a backlash, yeah. Backlash for being, you know, BS or whatever. ah That's not necessarily the backlash that I saw. Oh. um the The backlash that I saw, because it was specifically... the show was specifically geared around it being ancient aliens. Yeah.
00:35:10
Speaker
Basically, the backlash that I saw was people criticizing it for effectively just taking the credit away from ancient civilizations for building certain structures and like certain advancements. For the most part, the civilizations that they talked about on that show were civilizations that were later colonized and like oppressed no and like wiped out in some cases.
00:35:39
Speaker
And so like that was the criticism that I saw, where it was just like, this is effectively taking away the ah credibility or the like the truth of the reality that like actual human civilizations built these incredible structures. right like And you know in some cases, people took it took it to like, a this is racist.
00:36:01
Speaker
Right. Okay. Place, but like, I don't know. I am being not a person descended from any of those cultures and also not a person who 100% ever got on board with that show. Just was like entertained by it. ah You know, and just it was very, very fleeting entertainment for me. ah Sure. Like, I don't feel like I have the like, not the right, but like, I don't have the like,
00:36:31
Speaker
authority or knowledge to really speak to either side. But I am more inclined to step back and be like, no, this is not something I'm willing to completely buy into because of the potential issue there is there. Right. I was just going to say- I can see it from both sides, but at the same time, there's the side that actually matters where the people exist in our world.
00:37:00
Speaker
and the side where it's like, sure, even if I believe in aliens, like they're not here to like cry about not getting credit for things that they probably didn't actually build.
00:37:13
Speaker
so um Sorry. Anyway. It's perfectly fine. oh um i I was just going to say that the one podcast that I have referenced a couple of times in this episode,
00:37:28
Speaker
ah they had a guest on who alluded to that most of the crap or most, if not all of the crap but that that show presents to people is, um, pretty accurate. And so it kind of re-sparked my whole, oh, I probably should, uh, watch it again. Cause, you know, piqued my interest a little bit again, but yeah, ancient aliens, man.
00:37:57
Speaker
Yeah, I mean I watched it for its entertainment value. I think in general I have more interest or I take more seriously the like documentaries or docu-series of like recent accounts of like UFO sightings and and things. I'm more interested in those overall.
00:38:17
Speaker
Just because like, I don't know, it's something like when it's in living memory, makes it feel more real to me, I think.

UFO Sightings and Evidence

00:38:26
Speaker
And like, and the one that I keep thinking of through all of the time we've been talking so far is not even like a whole series, but just like one episode of the show. Is it called Unsolved Mysteries? hu And there's like one episode that actually takes place in Michigan. Yeah, of like some insane not it wasn't because oh actually this is I think this is why I'm so interested in it because earlier I mentioned like that the main thing that I have interested is seeing like hard evidence. Yeah, of things and like this guy had gotten like like radar evidence of the way that the ships were moving who that he could see
00:39:09
Speaker
like now that I'm thinking about it I'm like I'm gonna go back and rewatch that particular episode because it was so cool but he was I can't remember if it was like a I can't remember where he worked what it like I don't think it was military but I don't remember for sure I could be wrong but he was like literally working in some sort of a an office space that had all this like radio or radar equipment that was reading the location and the like ah love not elevation. What the hell? What's the word? Coordinates? No, it maybe be it is elevation. like the The height yeah of like what like how high ships are up near. Is it elevation? Basically. Okay. Is that?
00:39:56
Speaker
When they say like 30,000 feet in the sky. Altitude? Altitude? Altitude. Altitude, if you're talking about spacecraft or aircraft or whatever, then altitude probably. Yeah, that's the word. I was like, what the fuck is that word? I think altitude is correct. But like, yeah, like where they were geographically, where they were in terms of altitude, like, and how fast they moved was fucking fascinating. Crazy. So I was just like, that shit was caught on radar. And they like recorded. Wow. Yeah.
00:40:25
Speaker
Like even if it wasn't like a video recording, like in some ways, radar is a little more believable. So yeah. I mean, and there's been other things I've seen on various other shows um with like the military captured a thing that they called a tic-tac um that moved so fast and went straight up and straight down and it went down into the water and disappeared. And like oh yeah they they had their little tracker on it and they're like, there's no way anything that we have on this earth moves like that. Right. Yeah. And that's what multiple people who have seen or recorded UFOs
00:41:09
Speaker
like have said, like there is no spacecraft on that created by humanity that is able to move that way to like come to a complete stop or to move that fast. Like it's not possible. Exactly. Based on anything that we know that exists that we've created. And like, that's, yeah, having multiple different sources and and witnesses say that, particularly, you know,
00:41:39
Speaker
credible ones like military personnel who know what the fuck they're talking about. yeah Like that's the kind of shit I'm into. For sure. So I just thought this was a good, appropriate topic for, you know, the season. 100%. It's a spooky season. And it's time to talk about spooky things. True. so Indeed. And I love it. Aliens are a little bit of a, like, off the beaten path spooky thing, in my opinion. Like, I don't, when I think of, like, Halloween season, when I think of October, I don't immediately think of aliens.
00:42:16
Speaker
No. you know I go to like, no, nor should you. know Monsters and cryptids before I go to aliens. right but it is but it But it's accurate. yeah it's ah it It fits. It's one of those unknowns and it's creepy and weird and scary to a lot of people. And yeah and more real than like a werewolf yeah or a vampire. No matter how much we how much we might wish that a vampire was real.
00:42:48
Speaker
Yeah, to our own demise. But it would be such a sweet, sweet demise. You know, it kind of made me made me think of something I was going to say, you know, you talked about how You didn't think it would be too scary to be abducted, but when you hear the kind of things that they do to people? Well, I do think i would i I would be scared. That's what I was saying. yeah like I don't think about it, and it it like it's not the kind of thing that scares me the way that like hearing about possession and demons and stuff scares me. like I don't know. When you're being held against your will and and tested on and things like that, it's pretty scary.
00:43:30
Speaker
Yeah, ah no, i I yeah, like i I don't make that claim that I'm not scared of that. It's just that like, at this point, if it hasn't happened to me, it probably never will. Because they usually stick with one or like, a person that like, they started with early on. Yeah, yeah. And you know what else that lady um in that one podcast episode said was,
00:43:58
Speaker
that we actually make agreements with them. We just don't remember. Like but before we come to this life. Which I feel personally, I don't feel is like actual consent. Because it's like, if we don't remember it. Well, yeah, that's the thing. Like, you know, it's like, and that doesn't comfort me in the slightest. Right. To know like, oh, like if they've been abducting me,
00:44:21
Speaker
It's because I made an agreement with them. Like, that doesn't make me feel better, you know? Right. Yeah, exactly. Oh, and you know what else? I guess there are more things to talk about.

Speculations and Astral Experiences

00:44:33
Speaker
It's just, it's probably not going to have a good flow. But yeah they say that, you know, I mean, I've heard this more than once, that aliens walk among us, like literally, and, and that there are some alien-human hybrid people Oh, I heard that too. Yeah. Yeah. That's, that, that kind of stuff is kind of freaky. ah You know, and they also, they, there's also talk about people who can astral project oo and
00:45:03
Speaker
this one interview that this one, a different lady on that same podcast. So that she like has monthly meetings with a whole, uh, I don't know what the word is for that when there's just like a whole bunch of different ones and they all get together. Like a Congress. Kind of. Like a UN end meeting. Yeah. Yeah. It's like,
00:45:31
Speaker
I'm trying to think of the word that I probably heard in Star Trek or something, but... Oh my God. Hold on. That was weird. I just like bumped my my stand here. Yeah. No, I don't... I don't know. arc take It's like a summit. A summit. That's the word. Those kinds of accounts I tend to just sort of take with a grain of salt. she She got very detailed about how it all started for her.
00:45:58
Speaker
of how they came to, they kind of materialized in her bedroom through the wall and um told her that they needed her to ah be there at a certain time back in her room where they were.
00:46:14
Speaker
And then they were going to take her somewhere. And she had a lot of interesting things to say about the kind of stuff they talk about um because they all have different languages. So it's all like psychically yeah messages are conveyed psychically in the meetings. I'm going to once again tell you to watch Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
00:46:35
Speaker
I did. What? I did, but I didn't really pay close attention. Well, you got to actually watch it. I mean, come on. it is That was the whole point. Super close attention. That was the whole point. I'll have to try it again. I'm sorry. You didn't even tell me. That's like one of my favorite movies. Because I thought I was trying to pay attention to it. Sorry.
00:46:57
Speaker
ah Um, I was gonna say that all the way back when you said, like, there's, like, alien-human hybrids, and I was just, like, thinking of, um, Ford, the friend, that, like, is actually an alien, but shows up on Earth and thinks that cars were the dominant life form, and tried to shake hands with a car. Oh my god. Oh my god. If you don't remember that, you gotta fucking watch that movie.
00:47:20
Speaker
I probably remember, I mean, I just wasn't paying super close attention. Like I said, yeahy no yeah watch it again and actually watch it this time and LOL at it. Okay. Okay. Good. um Good. but then um Okay. So then there's like a friend of mine who said that she had like this dream and I'm not sure if it was sort of a lucid dream or what, but she feels like she was asked for projecting in this dream.
00:47:49
Speaker
And that she met up with like alligator people, like reptile people. And that's another thing. Like loser people, reptile people, whatever. Like that's another thing I hear a lot. And then they may or may not be this word, but like the one word I hear a lot is Pleiadians. Like there's a planet called Pleiadia or something like that. And so they are called Pleiadians. Interesting.
00:48:19
Speaker
Yeah. And I think that she may have referenced that or a similar words, like sort of like that. That those people were like, they were like there. Like she walked into an establishment that was full of them and they all turned and looked at her like, what are you doing here? Like who are you? Oh my God. And I think she felt like it was a little bit hostile or something. I'll have to ask her to recount her dream for me.
00:48:49
Speaker
if she can remember it. I would imagine it would be hostile. Yeah. She felt a little freaked out about it. I would too. Like, goddamn. Yeah. Well, this has been aliens. It's the ADHD version. Everything with us is the ADHD version.
00:49:13
Speaker
I think you already said that. How do you feel about it? I know. How do I feel about it? Yeah. How do you feel about it? I don't know. its I mean, I wanted to talk about it and I did. but Okay. Mission accomplished, right? I feel all right. I hope that I know, but honestly, I hope that if somebody out there has some like shit that they could like offer to correct. I'm not necessarily looking for corrections because I don't believe that there's like anything wrong about any particular experience that we hear about, you know?
00:49:48
Speaker
Like, so what I'm more interested in is if you've had an experience, like, yeah we want to hear about it. For sure. We want to hear. And also, that would be great if if you've had an experience and you're comfortable with us reading whatever you send, please tell us, because that would be really cool to be able to do. yeah But of course, if you want to send us stuff and don't want us to share, we won't share. But like, still, like it'd be really fun to be able to to talk about that.
00:50:19
Speaker
Definitely. Well, thank you, Molly. Thanks for entertaining or whatever you call it. Indulging. Indulging me? Yeah, you're welcome for indulging you. I was like, I just, I knew that you were going to talk about your book because you've been, you know, reading it pretty consistently, but like I didn't know where else you wanted to go with it. So I was like, it's interesting. I found out that there's been a few more subsequent and books since that one. I had the same out there. Yes. Ooh, you'd read those too.
00:50:48
Speaker
more stuff. I have to figure out, like, there's even one that was put out in 2023. So I need to see, yeah, how many there are and what order. I'm like one of those people. I have to do it in order. So I've got to figure out which one's next. And then I will probably be buying them one at a time. Hell yeah. Yeah. I'm into it. That's awesome.
00:51:08
Speaker
Well, then this may be, this may be a subject we revisit occasionally then. Oh, o and and I found out, well, he's got an Instagram. Oh, really? Yes. And he was interviewed for an episode of a show on Gaia as well. So I need to like watch that stuff. He's like in his seventies. Yeah, he would be. But yeah.
00:51:31
Speaker
Whitley, what was his last name? Stryber. S-T-R-I-E-B-E-R. W. Stryber? Probably, yes. I just found him. Oh, yep. I see that you're following him. I'm going to follow him too. Oh, he has his own podcast. Oh yeah, that's right. Sweet. I did see that. All right. Well, everybody check out Whitley Stryber on Instagram and check out his books, I guess.
00:51:53
Speaker
not sponsored but not sponsored doesn't matter but if but we're a fan but we're interested absolutely but yeah aliens man i feel very like the dude about it aliens man cool yeah this has been fun yeah thanks for like i said thanks for indulging me you're welcome it's my birthday it's yeah birthday subject matter. ah Super fun. But yeah, ah we hope everybody had a good time listening. And we hope that people do write in if you've had experiences. The shizzle. Yeah, yeah, we're super interested. Even just like UFO sighting experiences, we'd love to hear about those. um Any of it.
00:52:44
Speaker
We're into it. We love you guys. We're so grateful for you. Yay. I second that emotion. Hell, yeah. And we hope you guys have a beautiful day. Yeah, I must enjoy. Ciao. Au revoir.
