00:00:07
Speaker

00:00:22
Speaker
I'm doing well. Okay, I was going to say, you first, Kate. Doing well. Had a nice ride out today and yeah, feeling good, feeling healthy.
00:00:36
Speaker
So great. I'm feeling great. i am not feeling healthy. I have not spent a bunch of time outside, but I have been rather productive. And we spent time filling out scholarship applications.
00:00:49
Speaker
Woo-hoo! And, um yeah, I'm just excited. And I'm excited that I got to see through the little screen our little fourth co-host today. We do. We have our fourth co-host. Kate and is 10-week-old, 9-week-old, 10-week-old granddaughter, Linny, is in my lap having a bottle as we speak. So if there's a coup, a scream, a shout, a barp, or a fart, that's where it's coming from.
00:01:19
Speaker
Sure it is. It is. That's who we will blame. That's who we will blame. and She's doing great. Well, before we get started, I'm terrified I'm going to forget.
Milestone Celebration
00:01:28
Speaker
So, wo listen, I have some news for you.
00:01:31
Speaker
Oh, I do like news. And it's very good news. This week, drumroll... um but We hit 10,000 downloads and listens. 10,000? 10,000 people have listened.
00:01:46
Speaker
10,000 has been downloaded listened 10,000 times. 9,863 of them were my brother. Well, I love that. I'm just teasing. I know. I do know my brother listens regularly. ten thousand times and nine thousand eight hundred and sixty three of them were my brother well i love that tea i know i do know my brother listens um
00:02:11
Speaker
It's part of his routine. But if he downloads it or listens to it like every day, like Kate will do it on the Alexa, that only counts as one. so So you can't just listen, listen, listen, listen listen and sort fudge your numbers. Like they're on to that kind of game.
00:02:27
Speaker
Wow. well so So it's pretty exciting. So we have to thank everybody who has listened to one episode, a couple, every episode, whoever you are.
00:02:38
Speaker
That's amazing. It's exciting. That's much. It's so much, and we started just under a year ago, so to hit 10,000 downloads and listens in one year, I think is pretty impressive.
00:02:50
Speaker
I think that is amazing. I'm very proud of our little purple door community that we have going on. Yeah. Oh, man. Wow. that's it That's amazing. So a little celebration to start the pod.
00:03:05
Speaker
I wish I had my little button. That's right. We did little buttons. Yeah.
Friends Trivia Game
00:03:11
Speaker
I love it. Well, this week is no, it is not the one with two parties. I forgot to change the address.
00:03:17
Speaker
It's the one with the chicken pox, which I know dear you are quite excited to do to talk about this one. Do you know what? I just really enjoy the episode. It makes me laugh so much.
00:03:30
Speaker
And um yeah, I just really, really like this episode. I love it. well I am pumped to talk about it. Well, Kate is here doing her very best Vanda White impression.
00:03:41
Speaker
She is the hostess with the mostest, who will be doing um Bamboozled this week. I think she has maybe a dozen-ish questions for us. Yeah, we need the button again. I know, right? Uh-oh.
00:03:55
Speaker
Somebody's at the door and they rang it. I will pause our recording. All right. Sorry about that interruption, everyone. Our neighbor was at the door. So we will continue. Kate has, i think, 13 questions. sir 13 questions. 13 questions.
Episode Discussion: Friends
00:04:14
Speaker
I will be scorekeeper and DM will probably demolish me as usual. But let's see what happens this week in Bamboozled.
00:04:22
Speaker
All right. I got to tell you, this was a hard one to... find questions for because I feel like they're so obvious. Um, and maybe it's because I know you so well, both of you so well, but I'm like, okay, so we'll see.
00:04:39
Speaker
We'll see. All right. Jeebs, you ready? Ready. Okay. I just see you playing with that. Okay. All right. Oh, oh and the cu she's ready too.
00:04:50
Speaker
ah yeah She's ready. Okay. All right. What color is the mug that Monica licks? I know. I know. Well, listen. Yellow. You are correct. correct It is yellow. All right.
00:05:07
Speaker
Starting off with an easy one. Okay. Whose group has an opening, a job opening? I know. I'll set it first. Fleischmann's?
00:05:18
Speaker
Yes. Yes. Bonus point, if you can tell me what you're not allowed to touch. No, I know. I don't know. Don't touch his sandwiches. That's right. Yes.
00:05:30
Speaker
Bonus for Wollison. Okay. ah What does Ryan wish? yeah jeeps He wishes he'd rubbed his face all over his friend who had chicken pox when he was a child.
00:05:49
Speaker
No, I know. Yeah, he does. He wishes he had a time machine. He wishes he had a time machine to go back when he was seven years old when Jimmy Houser had a chicken pox and he rubbed his face all over
Personal Stories and Chicken Pox
00:06:01
Speaker
I think you each get a point. All right. that was point yeah Okay. Yep. I like that. All right. ah At Chandler's work, what is Jeannie's position? What's her title?
00:06:13
Speaker
Willison? I know. She is the something. ah Hang on. She's the the East Coast. Oh, my God. Are you kidding me right now? The head of East Coast um operations. Yes, ma'am. Yes. Yes. Hold it out. you didn't even look at your notes.
00:06:35
Speaker
That was impressive. oh I was hoping to get a half point there when you didn't get the last warrant. but I keep talking until I get there. it Gerrymandering. ah No, not Jerry Manor. What is it? ah It's... Filibustering. Filibustering, yes. Filibustering. Just talking and talking and talking until you think it.
00:06:57
Speaker
Okay. What is Jeannie's husband's name? Oh, man. I meant to... I heard him say it because they were going to out on the boat. They were.
00:07:09
Speaker
And I was like, dang, I should probably go back. It's not Steve. Is it? Jeannie and... I'm just going to... Can I just guess? ja jack no jeff jeff no not jeff still all right milton milton never would have known anybody named milton no and i want to know that family like the baby pops out and they're like that's a milton like If any of our listeners have a baby named Milton, we apologize.
00:07:45
Speaker
But if your baby or if you or your baby's name is Milton, I would really like to meet you. Yes. Because I have never gotten to meet a Milton. I'd kind of like to know the origin story. Is it a family name?
00:08:00
Speaker
What's the reason behind it? I was just thinking, isn't Milton? Is it like Milton Bradley? They're going to be a billionaire one day. True. It's like a rich people name.
00:08:13
Speaker
I can say that. Yeah. That's why I haven't met any Motons. We don't run in such circles. Is that Monopoly or is that Parker Brothers?
00:08:25
Speaker
Is what what? Who made Monopoly? Is that Milton Bradley or is that Parker Brothers? That's a very good question. I'm not sure of Thank you. I don't know.
00:08:36
Speaker
It'd just be a big game. I don't know either. would be great, though, if it was Milton Bradley because they play Monopoly. And so that would be amazing.
00:08:47
Speaker
oh Oh, okay. Let's see. Monopoly. and And are Milton Bradley two last names of, like, you know, the partners in the business or something?
00:08:59
Speaker
I wonder. Like Dunder Mifflin? Like Dunder Mifflin. Exactly. we' We're off on an early sidetrack. I like it. Yeah, we are. Yeah. That's what happens when Kate's getting involved.
00:09:11
Speaker
So Monopoly was created by Elizabeth Maggie, who it was really called the Landlord's Game. Oh. And it was to teach about the negative effects of land monopolies.
00:09:26
Speaker
Okay, Parker Brothers. The game was later adapted and sold to Parker Brothers. Yep. So there you go. All right. All right. Yep. There you go. I see the tie in if it had been Milton Bradley.
00:09:40
Speaker
But anyway, friends I digress. Okay. What are the names of Joseph's family? Oh, I know. I
Monica and Richard's Quirks
00:09:47
Speaker
know. She's got it. That is his kids are Ashley and Brittany and his wife is Karen.
00:09:52
Speaker
That is true. Yes. That is true. um All right. You already talked about that question. So we're nixing it out, which was was the game they were playing.
00:10:04
Speaker
That was a game. That was an easy one. Yeah. ah Who is Chandler's boss?
00:10:16
Speaker
I raised my hand, then I got scared. Is it Mr. Douglas? Yes. It is. Okay. It is. is I'm assuming it's boss. I mean, he's the one that tells him what to do.
00:10:31
Speaker
Well, and that's the one that he was scared of. Yes. and get So, okay. And then, so what does Mr. Douglas want, and when does he want it by?
00:10:44
Speaker
ah who jeeps. He wants like the numbers, not the rough numbers, but the numbers by Tuesday. The final numbers. The final numbers. Yes. Can I just say, we've got to be getting close to only a couple of questions left, and I believe it's four each.
00:11:00
Speaker
Whoa. Jess, don't want to be unfair. i want you to I want everyone to be aware of the score. All right. Well, let's keep going. We're number 10. What is on Richard's t-shirt?
00:11:15
Speaker
when they're her bedroom. It's brown. It's an unusual thing. Because I read it.
00:11:30
Speaker
it's It's some kind of like restaurant place to eat. But I don't know if that's enough for an answer. Even if it's right. No. I mean, you're close, but it's not enough.
00:11:42
Speaker
Oh, yeah. Sorry. Try harder. Wow.
00:11:47
Speaker
Yikes. season It is the Mallard brand quick cooking. Mallard. Okay. Yeah.
00:11:58
Speaker
yeah I didn't know that that's what it was, but I remember Mallard because I was thinking about the chicken, the duck. So, oh yeah. Okay. But I mean, like I was not thinking of that, but that's what I thought about whenever I saw it.
00:12:12
Speaker
Weird. Okay. no la la la la la la How many minutes fast is Monica's clock? yeah less than Six. Six. It is six. It is six. Yes, it is.
00:12:25
Speaker
It is. And what is Richard's thing? right No. Jeeves. He has to sleep on the on the west side because the ocean has to be because he grew up in California. Yep.
00:12:39
Speaker
Yep. All right. And then the last one. Okay. I get Wilson. I must like it is five each. Dang. Okay. Okay. All right.
00:12:50
Speaker
Come on, Kate. Ask the one that I want you to ask. What are the three things Rachel needs to do before Ron carries her away?
00:13:01
Speaker
I know, I know, I know. She forgot to turn off the cappuccino machine. She forgot her purse and then the light in the women's bathroom. Yes, ma'am.
00:13:12
Speaker
Your streak is alive. Your streak is alive. not even the one I wanted you to ask me. That was? It wasn't. What was the one? I wanted you to either ask me the taxi cab number.
00:13:25
Speaker
I had it and I undid it. I took it off because I had too many. Or I wanted you to ask me about the lobster claw oven mitt.
00:13:37
Speaker
I thought it was going to be too easy. I thought it was going to be. I thought that one was going to be too easy. And I thought the taxi cab was too difficult. What was it? to c eight six Uh-huh.
00:13:51
Speaker
It sure was. Uh-huh. Yeah. I had it and I took it away. and I had both of them. And then I was like, nah, too easy to walk. Because when we when we started, I had 23. And Al said I had to, you know, pare them down. That might be a little long.
00:14:04
Speaker
So name that's what I did. So, all right, you won. Yay! Woolison wins 6-5. Dang, you're getting too close, Al. Yeah, next week or next time the kick hosts is on.
00:14:19
Speaker
i know. i believe it. I believe it. Well, yay. Well, thanks for letting me bamboozle. Thank you. Thanks for playing. Absolutely. Thank you. Thank you.
00:14:31
Speaker
I'll call you Wednesday. For those of you that don't know, well, I guess nobody knows except for Al. Wallace and I will be at science camp with our respective schools. um yeah we will a wednesday at the same science camp coincidentally at the same time yeah guess the completely accidental so i'm so excited so i am so excited i'm so excited and this is the first time that the school i'm at has gone to this science camp so i'm so excited are you guys horseback riding
00:15:06
Speaker
o o I don't know. I have not been as um involved with the planning as I would have liked to have been. ah got you ah Because I don't know if you know this or not, but things have been crazy lately.
00:15:24
Speaker
I feel like I'm on a a treadmill and just so not stopping. I should be a lot thinner.
00:15:33
Speaker
i hear you you know i came home today and i asked
Saltwater Taffy Discussion
00:15:37
Speaker
macy i'm like because you know we went riding i'm like do i like thinner she's like yeah and i quoted joey by saying my shorts are a little loose yes i'll paraphrase paraphrase joey all right well you guys have all right and how do you want me to exit out because i know i always mess it up well You never mess anything You don't mess it up. um You just need to sort of leave the room somehow. It it always works out. Do you just want me close it?
00:16:05
Speaker
um That's what she did you did last time. Yeah, can you go back? Is there a button that says back to session?
00:16:14
Speaker
I've got a hand. I also wanted you to ask about what song Richard sang. I had that too, and that was too easy. yeah Yes, I've got a little question, Leroy Brown. Leroy Brown, but then mine was, what was the name of the singer?
00:16:30
Speaker
oh that's um Jim Croch, Croches? Croch Cheese. Croch Cheese, excuse me. I put Jim Croch-ee. So I looked it up. That's the only way I knew. I had to look it up because I'm like, what is that? Croch Cheese?
00:16:43
Speaker
Croch Cheese? All okay, I'm looking. Call settings. Oh, I've got nothing that says return to settings, so i'll just maybe I'll just do this. Yeah, do whatever you have to do.
00:16:54
Speaker
It's all fun. I passed the health check. Yeah. Alright. Yeah, you did. Alright, she's out of here. Alright. Bye. Bye. I'll touch you this week. Okay, cool.
00:17:05
Speaker
Love you, bye. Love you, bye. Alright, and Kate is gone. I know. had is a little sad. It is.
00:17:18
Speaker
Yes. Yes, Kate's going to go do a couple things. i have The baby right here. And she's behaving wonderfully well. Well, that was a good bamboozled. You got me again. That's okay. I did.
00:17:31
Speaker
But man, by the skin of my teeth. That is okay. Well, let's see. We're going to start this week. We're in Central Park. It's kind of a funny opening.
00:17:41
Speaker
With this whole banana, is it a banana nut muffin? I loved this opening. It made me laugh so hard. And it just, with Chandler and Monica going back and forth and back and forth and all of that. And then and then her messing with him whenever he takes the bite of the muffin and all the jokes for him to have spout on.
00:18:06
Speaker
I feel like it's one of the first times, I'm sure there's others, but like they're almost flirting with each other. They're not really, they're just friends. But we started, to me, we just start to see a little bit of what will become later on. Yes.
00:18:20
Speaker
That comfort, all of that stuff. and So whenever they were in the hospital waiting for Ben to be born, you kind of saw that too. Yes. And then you see like in little bits and pieces like where they're ah together.
00:18:35
Speaker
You know, and they play off of each other. And, yeah, I love that because it does. It foreshadows so nicely. And I wonder if that was the plan from the beginning.
00:18:49
Speaker
You've got to wonder. You've got to wonder. I Yeah. yeah i I really, really do because, um yeah. But it's, I don't know.
00:19:00
Speaker
It's so fun. It is. Now, I've got to be honest. I've got to make a confession here. I have zero idea, no i mean absolutely no idea what saltwater or taffy is.
00:19:13
Speaker
Are you for real? For real. i don't i know i well you know I know it's some kind of like sweet treat. It's a candy, it's a sweet, it's something. I don't know what it is. I've missed that in my life.
00:19:26
Speaker
ah Weird. it Every time you go anywhere that has a beach... Or is near the ocean or anything. And they have a candy store.
00:19:38
Speaker
They are always. it's a big There's a big machine. And it like goes like this. Okay. I've seen that machine. Yes. I know the machine you're talking about. it's Taffy.
00:19:50
Speaker
That's the machine that makes the Taffy. Are you being for real? like Like if I'm doing this. Yeah. I know the machine. I know the machine. and it's yes often like a bright color.
00:20:03
Speaker
The thing that's in there. Okay. Okay. I don't think I've made the connection. I've seen that machine. Is taffy the same as salt water taffy? Yeah. Okay. It's the same thing. Okay.
00:20:15
Speaker
Same thing, except that it's made with salt water versus regular tap water. Like, to be fair, like, I do enjoy, like, a bit of chocolate. I am not averse to sweet stuff.
00:20:26
Speaker
But, like, like, this this this, you know, sort of the the sweets and stuff that are not chocolate, I don't really ever eat. So it's not something I would ever look at buying. Yeah. but I've seen that machine. That machine's pretty cool.
00:20:40
Speaker
Yeah. See what? That's what, and then you get it and it comes like wrapped in wax paper and it's twisted on the ends and it's normally like a little circle like this and you can get different flavors and stuff like that.
00:20:54
Speaker
And um ah Haley recently brought, she went, I can't remember where, It was that she went, but she brought us back taffy, but it had ah like tahini and it was kind of like spicy, sweet. Right.
00:21:11
Speaker
Okay. yeah Now we're talking through it. feel like I've seen it, but I didn't make the connection. That's what it was. Yeah. Yeah. Right. And so it's good. And normally, like you wouldn't go and buy it at Walmart because that would not be...
00:21:27
Speaker
You've got to be, do you kind of have to be at the beach, the salt water area, all of that, right? Yeah. You got to be on vacation. And then chances are, if you buy a big bag, unless you're giving it to somebody or and whatever, you're not going to eat it all.
00:21:42
Speaker
Right. ah But yeah I mean, I don't know. An impulse buy when you're, when you're at the beach. At the beach, in the candy shop or the ice cream shop or whatever. with It's being made right there.
00:21:56
Speaker
That's okay. You've joined the dots for me. and know what you're talking about now. See, you knew. I did know. I just didn't know it was that. Yes, got it. So I'm quite happy about that. That's specific.
00:22:07
Speaker
Yes. You touched on the jokes, like, the or the the, you know, Chandler can't get the jokes out because he's, you know, the muffin is it's taking a lot chewing. And poor old Chandler. is Yeah.
00:22:21
Speaker
Yeah. it's funny It reminded me of the, the ah it's a New Year's episode where he makes the New Year's resolution where he's not going to make all the jokes.
00:22:34
Speaker
Yes. And then they say all the things trying to get him to say stuff and he's trying really hard not to. That's right. I'd forgotten about that one. Yeah, it makes me think of exactly that.
00:22:46
Speaker
I love that. And just, you can feel his pain through the chewing. Yes, and you can almost like feel like, oh, and you know his throat's dry and his mouth's dry. yeah And it's just
Charlie Sheen's Guest Appearance
00:23:01
Speaker
And then I did think of you at the very next moment as our dear old friend Ross comes in and goes, hi. oh God.
00:23:12
Speaker
Yeah. My notes, it does say, Ross, sad hi. Sad hi. And like, I get that he said his his kid has chicken pox. That's not fun, but it's not, it's not the end of the world.
00:23:27
Speaker
I say as I have a 10 week old in my arms and that would, but yeah it happens. It happens. yeah yeah Did you have chicken pox growing up? Yeah. Oh, she's, you agree.
00:23:39
Speaker
ah You know, I did. i did. Yeah. Yeah. But I feel like we all did. I don't know. We're both of a similar vintage. Well, I didn't have it until I was 15.
00:23:52
Speaker
Goodness. I had to probably... I remember it. So let's say between five and 10, I must've had, I'm thinking. Well, I got it from my little brother. um He was, that that must be why he's on my mind.
00:24:06
Speaker
But because I was thinking about him, but he got it whenever he was in kindergarten. right And then he gave it to me and I was in high school. And um it was, he had like four chicken pox.
00:24:19
Speaker
It was no big deal. He felt great. whatever but you know the older you get the worse it is and had them in my mouth i had them everywhere it was terrible had them in my ears yeah it sounds terrible it was it was sad but then and what's funny is we talked about this um we went to dinner the other night and george was talking about how he'll never have chicken pox because he's been vaccinated Good for George. That's really cool.
00:24:51
Speaker
Right. There will be other diseases. Yeah. Don't you worry, George. Don't you worry. but Don't you worry. Well, we'll touch on the vaccination topic a little later on.
00:25:04
Speaker
Cause I have a ah thought obviously related to the episode about that, but yeah, Phoebe hasn't had it. She feels left out. Yeah. yeah Poor old Phoebe. Neither has her grandma.
00:25:16
Speaker
Right. Which is very convenient. Yeah. um So the so the Phoebe has to stay at, um I'm guessing she's staying for two weeks at Rachel and Monica's house. Yeah.
00:25:29
Speaker
But speaking of, we oh, sorry, go ahead. maybe man And her random Navy man. We'll touch on that. Like, it is a bit. Well, I suppose we could touch on it now. So the story I read is he basically lost a bet in real life with Matthew Perry.
00:25:45
Speaker
And that's why Charlie Sheen said he would do one episode, write write me into an episode, I'll do it. Really? Yeah, he did it because he lost a bet when I think it was something like he and Matthew Perry were auditioning for something else.
00:26:00
Speaker
And it was like, Matthew Perry, I think the story says something if I get it and you don't, you need to come and appear on Friends for an episode. And he said, I'll do it. Wow, that's It's something like that, yeah.
00:26:13
Speaker
Okay, I like that. Yeah, it's it's there's a fun little, like, it's not just, he was written in, you know, there was like, well, let's find Charlie Sheen's story.
00:26:25
Speaker
Yeah. Which I love. We bounce on over to Monica's bedroom. We've touched on this a little bit in Bamboozle, but now Rich is making the bed and then Monica remakes
Joey's Alter Ego at Work
00:26:36
Speaker
it. Now, i'm going we're going to dive into the the personal life of the Wollisons.
00:26:40
Speaker
Where do you land on bed making?
00:26:44
Speaker
Uh, no, I don't really like, yeah. I mean, on the weekend, I say that as I'm sitting on an unmade bed right now, but like as picking up and cleaning and whatever on the weekends, I'll, I'll make a bed and, you know, make it real nice. But other than that, no, but yeah it I agree.
00:27:07
Speaker
During the week we get up at different times. As do Kate. And it seems like a i don't I'm with you. i When I clean the bedrooms, say on a Saturday morning, and night you I sweep or mop or tidy things up, maybe I'll make it then as part of cleaning the bedroom. But on a day-to-day thing, it it really feels like a waste of time.
00:27:26
Speaker
Yeah. Because I don't go into my bedroom of an evening and go, oh, I don't feel as relaxed. My bed isn't made or anything. I couldn't care less. So it's just not high on the list of things to do.
00:27:39
Speaker
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So don't know. Yeah. yeah But let's take a minute. Yes. And think about your, you know, leveling up your life.
00:27:51
Speaker
Yes. The things that you don't think you have time for, or guess that's different than a waste of time. Yeah, because I do have time to make the bed if it was really, you know, my heart's desire was to leave the house of a morning with a made bed. But I just, I got to be honest, the rest of my house can be pristine, everything that I don't care about the bed.
00:28:14
Speaker
making the bed i just okay i just don't i was yeah i don't know i do i do like your leveling up and taking time to do the things and all of that very very much well i'm glad you enjoy it's been on for though anyone who's not following on my personal instagram which is at the outdoorsy educator I've been trying to do some some things just to improve my life. I have a wonderful life.
00:28:39
Speaker
But just little things that i keep putting off. So i've been posting about those this week. um Well, let's see. The duvet tag should be at the bottom right.
00:28:51
Speaker
And I believe the flowers need to face the headboard because the sun would be. Yes, because that's where the sun would be. Now, I will agree on on a tag on a duvet or anything else needs to be at your feet.
00:29:03
Speaker
Like, you don't need that, you know, up towards your face. So I'm with you there. um Now, this song, I think I know the song Leroy Brown. I haven't listened to it to check. but I hadn't heard of Jim Crochus, whatever his name was that we decided. Yeah. No, but you know, bad, bad Leroy Brown. I was assuming it. man in the whole town. Yeah.
00:29:27
Speaker
Badder than a junkyard dog. wait, no. Meaner than a junkyard dog. Something, something, something, something. You knew more than I did. That's great. American Idol. That's right. you That is your next step to stardom, I think. i love it. I love it. Yeah, I i knew i kind of know the the cadence and the rhythm of the song, but not.
00:29:53
Speaker
I couldn't have told you who sung it. If you put it on I could sing every word to it. And I would like to give my mom a shout out for always having oldies playing in the car while was group.
00:30:05
Speaker
love it. A shout out Willison's mom. I think that's long overdue. Yes. Well, Monica's very excited. She's going to show them how to fold toilet paper into a point.
00:30:16
Speaker
Yeah, that's crazy. That's great. I mean. It better be folded in a point whenever I go into ah hotel room. If it's not covered in paper, it better be folded in a point, but that's about it. Yeah, hotel's a little different. In your own house, who are you doing that for?
00:30:32
Speaker
like that' yeah that's that's I'm on board with if you like to make your bed, but this is a little neurotic, I think. um well maybe monica is really is fancy on the inside maybe she is not any of the rest of them i mean she does make a good flan and wants to she wants to poach things wherever it was last week she is kind of fancy committees that's right just don't know that i'm that fancy no i don't i just don't have it in me um
00:31:07
Speaker
We do spend a lot of time in Chandler's office, which it's not the first time we've been there, I don't think, but certainly the first time we've been there a little bit, you know, or been there for a story, I feel.
00:31:18
Speaker
Maybe not. Yeah, because, like, Phoebe was in there checking out his new office whenever he got his promotion. That's right, she answered the phone. And that was fate. But this time... And then she worked there.
00:31:32
Speaker
and That's right, we have that. Yeah. yeah And now it's time for Joey. Joey's getting a job. but um I assume just to cover some bills while he's waiting for the next acting gig.
00:31:44
Speaker
Because there is an opening in Fleischman's group. um Yes. And this is going to test their friendship a little bit, I feel. Okay. Let me ask you this.
00:31:54
Speaker
Yeah. So, now he's gotten Phoebe a job there, and he's gotten Joey a job there. Now, thinking about your close friends.
00:32:06
Speaker
Yes. and And I don't know, have you ever gotten a close friend a job at your job?
00:32:19
Speaker
You know, I've i've sort of vouched for them. where Yeah. It's happened a couple of times where, the you know, we're both in education. None of that's a secret. So when the the the people that make these decisions have come to me and said, hey, they said they know you. We really like them.
00:32:34
Speaker
What do you think? I will say absolutely. They're a great choice. um Yeah. In fact, we can say this because she's she she might be listening. Our dear friend Katie Condren was one of them.
00:32:46
Speaker
We love Katie Condren. She's amazing. We do love Katie. I was actually, I saw a picture of all of us at Bell. I was going through all the pictures and I saw a picture of Katie Condren. I was like, oh, oh it's Katie Condren. Katie Condren. Yeah, when she came over to the last school I worked you know, I recommended she applied and I told the people that. And then they came to me and said, look, she knocked her interview out of the park.
00:33:13
Speaker
Yeah. why do i Of course she did. What, you know, you've worked with her, what she's like. And said, exactly what you saw is exactly what you're going to get. And there, it was a a great, a great thing that she came over. So yes, I can, that's a long winded way of saying, actually I have, I can say that I've vouched for somebody.
00:33:32
Speaker
Um, which Which feels a little safer than actually hiring somebody. Yeah. don't know. How about you? Have you kind of fallen into that category a bit?
00:33:43
Speaker
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. yeah And you know what? Have you ever, well, I guess we we want to be real careful with my next thing, but you know, it hasn't really worked out great for Chandler bringing his friends on. No, no. I think he's kind of, we can say, oh, for two in this category. Yeah.
00:34:07
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. But you know, I mean, Joey just goes a little too far with all this. We'll kind of get into it, I suppose. Yeah.
00:34:19
Speaker
But we are about to, let's see, do we meet Ryan in this next year? Not yet. No, we don't meet him yet. Phoebe's getting ready for him. he's She's getting ready.
00:34:31
Speaker
And then he's in the hallway. yeah and there was a Monica and Rachel have disappeared, which is weird. There was a slight, I say it's a discrepancy. I guess it's not really now I think about it.
00:34:44
Speaker
Um, Phoebe said, is it Rachel, one of them says in the opening scene that he comes back every two years. But he says that he comes back every eight months. so Or he's been away for eight months.
00:34:55
Speaker
Yes. Yes. And then normally he only comes for three days, but now he's coming for two and two weeks. Yes. And sorry, Lady has gone off with Lolly. Yes. But she was remarkable. We've been here for the best part of an hour.
00:35:13
Speaker
And she was, she's just been watching the screen and watching the light. She's fascinated with lights at 10 weeks. Little, little Lolly. Um, and but, uh, yeah, poor old Phoebe has the pox, um, covered in them.
00:35:31
Speaker
There's not much you can do, right? I mean, if you don't, if you're not vaccinated, you just have to kind of lather up with the cream or whatever it is, the ointment. Yes. Calamine lotion. And that's it.
00:35:42
Speaker
Um, But yeah, we're going to spend a lot of this episode, I think, bouncing between really the girl's apartment and Chandler's office. Joey's doing well, but he has created this alter ego of Joseph. Okay, but wait. Uh-oh.
00:35:57
Speaker
Oh, no. ah But no, I just, I want to take a minute because um he comes in and the timing of her...
00:36:08
Speaker
taking off the shawl because you know she has everything covered up and then the storm's happening and it's just you know so sad and their exchange is so funny and then she takes
Monopoly and Sibling Rivalry
00:36:22
Speaker
off that shawl right whenever there's that huge thunder and lightning strike and he screams and And the timing of all of that made me laugh out loud. And I have seen that this episode, you know, ah so many times over the years, but I laugh.
00:36:42
Speaker
Oh gosh, I laughed. It's so good. oh no And then you find out he hasn't had it either, which what are the chances?
00:36:53
Speaker
yeah so So I did a little digging into this because I got thinking, when did I have it? and and and And did, you know, all of that. and Basically, obviously, fake it's TV show.
00:37:07
Speaker
I know that. But it would when this was released, he would have had the vaccine in order to be in the Navy. So it was a little plot hole. It came in the year before. You had to have the chickenpox vaccine in the Navy. Yeah.
00:37:23
Speaker
Yeah, in 1994 or something like that. Okay.
00:37:27
Speaker
Yeah. So, I mean, according to the thing I read online, somebody said that it is off by about a year. Like if we're being, you know, he he he would he'd be vaccinated in, i think it's 94, 95, whenever it is this one aired.
00:37:43
Speaker
Uh-huh. Which is actually about the time that I got it. Because I got it whenever I was, what, 15, I think. And that was either 93 or 94. Yeah.
00:37:55
Speaker
Right. So, yeah, about then. That's about the time I would have i would have got it, but before then, because i was younger when I yeah got it, I believe. That's so funny. Yeah, but it's kind of interesting that they went with that story.
00:38:10
Speaker
um Yeah, Joey is doing well, or Joseph, as he likes to be known. um He's making friends with people. He's got three kids that we discussed.
00:38:21
Speaker
Oh, no, two kids at this point. Two. and then And then it just happened. You know, it just did. um Yes, he's got this wife, his wife's Karen, and then the two kids at this point, but they go to the same school as Jeannie's kids, and he's having a great time meeting all these people. um It's a different side Joey. And just really working on his character development.
00:38:48
Speaker
Right. right This is a side of joe Joey we don't normally see, this sort professional in the suit. um you It might all be fake, but he's enjoying it um without a doubt.
00:39:01
Speaker
um But in the girls' apartment, Ryan and Phoebe, all they can do is play Monopoly. Oh, and be crabby. and be cra Being crabby about it.
00:39:12
Speaker
Now, we've discussed board games a few times now, which I quite like. Do you have any strong feelings on that the specific game of Monopoly? ah ah Maybe.
00:39:23
Speaker
I just might. um so I get I am competitive right and also very very long board games I have a hard time with and I get mad right that easily and not easily i mean it takes a lot to get me mad but like once I've I'm over that the threshold and um I did flip the board according to my brother ah for me I don't really remember it happening exactly the way he says but I do know that he was being a total jerk and he didn't trade and he was going to make me go bankrupt in a very slow painful bankruptcy kind of way and there was nothing I could do nothing
00:40:14
Speaker
And he was just being a big fat jerk. And so what is the point? Whenever you get to that point, you're just doling out the money and then putting everything in bankrupt and just slowly going bankrupt. Well, he will he listens to this show, so he will... Yeah, and he will tell you that I just flipped out and flipped the thing. Right. but But he pushed me to that point. He took you there, which there's no need for that.
00:40:41
Speaker
did. He did. And it was just being a bully. Like there's no fun in that. No fun in that. We don't, well, we've argu last week, the one with the two bullies. This is the one with the bully.
00:40:54
Speaker
Your brother. No need. No need for that. That's right. My brother, the Monopoly bully. Bully. That's right. Yes. Well, they're playing Monopoly, but they've had enough and they start scratching, scratching each other.
00:41:07
Speaker
And, um, It starts to get a little sort of pseudo amorous, but Ross and Rachel walk in and catch them. I do like Ross's line of, you know, the Ryan, you're a military man.
00:41:19
Speaker
I do like that one. Yes. Well, and there was a pretty inappropriate joke that they, like... um that they cut out of yours.
00:41:32
Speaker
Ah, interesting. You'll leave it at that. Will you? oh yeah I will. I will. I will. Yeah. They, they teeter on the edge with a lot, all the way back to the, the muffin jokes in the beginning, you know, they teeter on the edge.
00:41:45
Speaker
um Yeah, well they definitely went over Phoebe says something terrible Which is something terrible on him And Ross's eyes get like this And he covers up Rachel's ears yeah Which is annoying to me anyway Right Just give me a freaking break and Enough of that behavior Ross Ross Okay I mean, is it an episode of the Purple Door podcast If I don't bleh about Ross think we would worry I think we'd worry about you Just saying. Just saying. Listeners would reach out.
00:42:18
Speaker
A little foreshadowing for me in this next scene because Joey has invited a co-worker onto his boat. And as we know, much later on we get the Mr. Beaumont.
00:42:29
Speaker
We do get the Mr. Beaumont. So I like this. But the line here, oh she'll probably, ah you know, he's like, what a phony. And he says whatever, and he's like, I think Jeannie will know when she steps off the door onto nothing. Chandler's not, he's he can't live in this fantasy world like Joey does.
00:42:56
Speaker
No. Well, it Joey is not having any problems. Chandler's watching numbers go up and deadlines shrink. yeah Right.
00:43:09
Speaker
Yeah, his boss is getting more and more demanding once he's numbers by Tuesday. Yeah, yeah Joey is is walking a fine line with his friendship here with the...
00:43:22
Speaker
I kind of wonder how things were back at the boys' apartment of an evening after the they had worked. Yeah. um We're back in Monica's bedroom, and she has duct tape. I've got to be honest. so I wanted to ask you about this.
00:43:36
Speaker
I'm like 99% sure that it is duck, like the animal that quacks. Or is it ducked with a T? Okay. Well, it depends. The brand is duck with a K. Right.
00:43:49
Speaker
Right. But it is duct, isn't it? Duct tape? Okay. i I think so. um My assumption is that's what it was originally for, was they made tape for ducts with a T, but the brand was duck.
00:44:05
Speaker
And now it's just used for lots of things, is my guess. Yes, the brand is du but duck, but duct with a T tape is the tool.
00:44:16
Speaker
Okay. it found You can have the duct tape brand or you can have Gorilla duct taped or, okay oh wow, taped. That's awesome. I'm just throwing in.
00:44:30
Speaker
Tease at the end of random words. Why not? that I will tell you, we went on a road trip. This has been, in my head it's last summer, but it's probably been three or four years. And we were driving through Ohio and we didn't go.
00:44:43
Speaker
But there was this town where Duck, the company Duck, has its headquarters. And they rent it out once a year. They kind of rent out, whatever they do, i like minor league baseball stadiums. I'm going to guess it holds 10,000 people, something like that.
00:45:01
Speaker
And they have like Duck Tape Olympics for the day. And members of the public can come on. And it's like, who can take like a roll of the tape and make in diameter wise the biggest ball in one minute and stuff like that like and it's just a whole day celebrating the company and giveaways and it was a cool thing we just didn't have the time to go but uh that road trip was all about oddities and odd things on and it was a shame we missed that one yeah that's awesome yeah it um but she is duck
00:45:36
Speaker
duct taped oven gloves to Phoebe and Ryan, which I wanted, we, I know you've noted at least something about the gloves. And I want to talk to you about those. Um, but Monica's clock is six minutes ahead in the bedroom.
00:45:50
Speaker
Is that right? Yes. And she never gets to explain why. And I'm like, why is it six minutes? My, my guess was to get ready quicker. So she's not late, but if you know it's six minutes faster,
00:46:07
Speaker
o Okay. So you never did that. Like now in the world of digital and connected to all the things, you can't really set your clocks forward.
00:46:18
Speaker
and Right. Unless you live at my parents' house because my mom still does that. But yeah, I used to set my clocks ahead. So like, even though I knew that they were set ahead, it would make me like Right.
00:46:38
Speaker
You know, move along. And then that way I wasn't feeling like I was running late, even though I wasn't. you know I think I know you're saying, but yes, not something I've ever done.
00:46:50
Speaker
But i kind I kind of get it. Like I kind of get it. I do have two clocks in my kitchen that are set to different times. But one is Texas time and one is Scotland time. So they're just six hours apart.
00:47:03
Speaker
Oh, that's nice. Which is nice. I like it so I can look up and see what time it is at home without having to really think about it. um Now, Richard has has a thing. i think his thing initially is separating, is it dress socks from sweat socks or something? Uh-huh.
00:47:21
Speaker
That's exactly what it is. don't know. I have a sock drawer. All my socks live in that drawer. Yep. Yeah, that's not the hill I'm going to die on. almost my Yeah, the socks get thrown out.
00:47:33
Speaker
But do you have dress socks? A couple of pairs. You know, in my line of work, like you, it's not something I need much of. No. I've probably got three four pairs. my dad, whenever I was growing up, my dad had dress socks because he wore suits to work.
00:47:52
Speaker
And then he had, you know, normal socks. And like the dress socks you didn't wear on the weekends. Right. You know, you didn't wear your weekend socks.
00:48:05
Speaker
But he had a job where he wore suits and fancy clothes.
Sock Types and Dress Codes
00:48:10
Speaker
and Right. his loafers and all that stuff. Yeah. You know, as did my dad. So I'm sure he had the same sort of thought. Yeah. yeah These are my Monday to Friday socks.
00:48:23
Speaker
Yeah. And then, yeah. Get a little crazy with the weekend socks. Whoa. Yeah. let's get and guess i do and I do enjoy a good novelty sock. I feel like your husband might might have a pair or two of novelty socks.
00:48:36
Speaker
He does, but he does not wear them very often at all. He has his specific Hanes black socks that he likes to wear.
00:48:49
Speaker
And then he does, like, I replenish with the exact same pairs. Because he does, he can't stand like, I'll wear socks that don't match.
00:49:03
Speaker
Both of my boys will wear socks that, you know, they're kind of, they're similar enough that nobody will ever know. And I wear pants anyways, so who cares? um George, on the other hand,
00:49:15
Speaker
Yeah, they're similar enough, and ah who cares? Right. and Because he wears shorts all the time, you know? Right. But Joseph, no, that that's not it.
00:49:27
Speaker
He likes... If he's wearing, yes, yes. A certain kind of sock. I can appreciate... I am at that station of life where I don't really care what socks I wear, but I do appreciate, like, ah good pair of socks.
00:49:40
Speaker
Yeah. You know, like, if they're really well-made and cost a little bit more, and they're, you know, they're just good. i They don't pop through with a hole in your toe. are you Right.
00:49:51
Speaker
right yeah I do appreciate that. Good comfy socks. um Chandler's office. Mr. Douglas is looking for Chandler. um and Did you drop the ball on the Letterman project? Was that it?
00:50:06
Speaker
Okay. I wrote Lemon. Okay. I was not sure. And I think I just heard Letterman as in David Letterman. I wasn't sure what it was. Oh, okay. Well, I just clicked over Lender Project.
00:50:21
Speaker
Okay. Did you catch that Chandler was asleep? Yeah, with the pen. Yeah, like he was trying to work, but it just wasn't quite working out. I do love that.
00:50:33
Speaker
But this is where, yeah, Chandler kind of becomes a little unhinged at Joseph. Yeah. um suddenly I think I'm talking about your husband still Joey Joseph um you know and lets him have it he's a brown nosing suck up um but I do love this bit of Chandler like he's gonna sleep with this wife you know affair with karen yes yeah just did my favorite like in her underwear is in my drawer or in my desk drawer really no she's no freak show no
00:51:08
Speaker
yeah It's so good. His alter ego, Chandy. Yes, it's not me. It's my character. That's right. Chandy. Chandy. Now, I've been excited to talk to you about the oven mitts because I watched this twice.
00:51:24
Speaker
Okay. Phoebe, tell me tell me if I'm wrong here. The low budget puppet show? Yes, the low budget puppet show is in town. and Phoebe has a lobster, but she has one lobster. Ryan has one cow is all I can think of. What?
00:51:38
Speaker
They have one more each. What are those ones? Are they just like decorative? So and Phoebe's, her other one is like red. It's all red. And then it's got trim here. That's white green, like around, not the wrist, but like ah at the end by the wrist.
00:51:56
Speaker
And um so I think that one's a Christmas one. Right. And then the other one on ah on Ryan's other hand, it's blue and it's got some kind of a design. And I couldn't decide if it were they were little flowers or what. And so I figured that they were just like like a random springtime mitts.
00:52:21
Speaker
eight so It does seem a little unlike Monica to have four random oven mitts. She seems like a, ah you know, I have a pair. You know, and she'd have two of every one rather than Really?
00:52:36
Speaker
You know what? Now I'm saying it out loud. now Now I'm saying it out loud. i I think we have oven mitts. We have a couple of them, but really we use the ones that are joined together mostly. We just have those.
00:52:49
Speaker
So actually, you don't buy oven mitts in pairs, really, do you? You buy them individually. don you don't You don't. You don't. I've talked to myself out that. she would 100% have one hanging as a decoration.
00:53:05
Speaker
She would 100%. True. Like, you know, like, oh, it's spring. So here's your spring oven mitt. Yes. And oh, it's, you know, whenever, whatever, you know, and this one's cute. And so then that one would be, i don't imagine she just throws them all in a drawer like I do.
00:53:26
Speaker
So we have the moment. Well, kate collects it Kate enjoys a good tea towel. That's her thing when she goes somewhere. So we probably have 20 tea towels. And we always have one hanging from oven. And every couple of days, that one goes in the wash. We hang a new one.
00:53:41
Speaker
And I love it so much because pretty much all of them are just, say, and Disney or wherever else we may have been. There's quite a few scott Scottish ones in there.
00:53:55
Speaker
We've got one that says Amsterdam. We've got a New York City one. But then there's one that comes out once in a while, and i won't say the word, but it's bleep, I love cheese. Starts with F, ends in K, and in very large letters.
00:54:09
Speaker
And it's just got this little light cartoon of a girl eating a slice of cheese. And that one brings me a lot of joy. Because I forget we have it, and then I look at the oven, and it's just swinging from there. And there it is.
00:54:20
Speaker
Yeah. And I know exactly where I was when I got that for Kate. And it it just makes me smile. That one does. yeah So I kind of get having a few different um ah few different oven mitts, oven gloves. Yeah.
00:54:37
Speaker
Yeah, i think I think I understand it. um But let's see. They start getting amorous again. I'm ripping the gloves off. And I do love the way Ross comes in and then just leaves. Like he's he's given up.
00:54:51
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah, he's that he's just... just have at it at this point. Obviously Ryan wasn't too bothered about being a military man and all of that. um But we're back in Monica's bedroom and this is where Richard wakes up, I think in the middle of the night and because he's like, this is it.
00:55:12
Speaker
Yeah. And he's waking Monica up to tell her. Yes. No. That he is a freak. I haven't checked this, but he says he has to sleep on this one side of the bed as we talked about in Bamboozled.
00:55:25
Speaker
And Monica, I think, says, well, no, you only sleep on that side because I sleep on this side. I think when she's and with Chandler, she sleeps on the other side of the bed. I think.
00:55:38
Speaker
Well, whenever they're in London, she's on the right side.
00:55:47
Speaker
I don't know. Yeah. Well, if we remember this conversation in, I don't know, four years' time, but When we're there. We'll see what side of the bed is Monica. Of course she's free to change which side of the bed she's on. um be He says he has to sleep on I think the left side because he drew grew up on the west coast. west side where is yeah a on the On this side because that's the west side.
00:56:13
Speaker
Right. Can't have the ocean on the wrong side. which is ah is but i got i made it to the Pacific Ocean in February for the first time ever.
00:56:26
Speaker
Um, so I was quite excited to go and dip my toes in. I'd been to Seattle, but that's kind of in a, there's the Puget Sound. There's a cove, so it's not really the Pacific, but I went to Los Angeles. So I was quite glad to, um, get my feet in that ocean.
00:56:41
Speaker
Um, we're kind of coming towards the end here. Um, this scene bugs me a little bit. Um, so we're back at Central Park. Ryan's about to ship out.
00:56:52
Speaker
Um, I guess he's been you at least two weeks because the pox are gone. um he Correct me if I'm wrong because i I've got to be honest. watched the ending just once.
00:57:04
Speaker
He doesn't kiss Phoebe goodbye.
00:57:09
Speaker
oh Whenever they get outside, don't they? Maybe they do. maybe i don't think i don't think they do. He kind of goes, taxi. And basically just gets in the taxi.
00:57:20
Speaker
It's a little underwhelming and our Phoebe deserves better, I think. ah For sure. No, they kiss. Do they kiss? Yeah, right before he asks for the taxi. Okay, good. Yeah.
00:57:33
Speaker
Good. Because i kind of she deserves the, ah what's that thing called? You know, the famous photograph of the soldier coming back from war. Oh, do you want to? Here's something so weird. Tell me something.
00:57:46
Speaker
I have recently talked about that picture with George. And did you know that they actually did not know each other? i did not know that.
00:57:58
Speaker
Yeah, and that apparently they did not know each other and he just grabbed and kissed her. Interesting. I didn't know that. I assumed she was waiting for him, you know, as I'm sure everybody does.
00:58:14
Speaker
Yeah, no, no, apparently not. which is Interesting. Which opens up a whole different view of that picture.
World War II Photograph Backstory
00:58:24
Speaker
It does, it does. i would be very intrigued.
00:58:29
Speaker
you know, to be honest, it doesn't really matter what the lady thinks. Like, don't do that. But be intrigued to hear what she thinks or thought at the time. Um, when that happened.
00:58:41
Speaker
But, uh, yeah, that does paint it in ah in a different light.
00:58:46
Speaker
Yeah. all right. I'm to have to do a little looking into that. Um, but Phoebe suddenly understands why the, the coffee shop is called Central Park, which, uh, it's just wonderfully ditzy.
00:58:58
Speaker
Um, I do enjoy that moment with Phoebe. It kind of makes sense to me that she hadn't put two and two together. um Yeah. no this is this is going to be your time to shine here, Wolves, because this is ultimate Winnie Ross for me in the in the final credits scene.
00:59:23
Speaker
Oh, okay. But wait, I'm sorry. i flipped over because I had to Google to make sure that I wasn't making that up. Right. And I'm not making that up. The nurse did say that that was not a consensual kiss.
00:59:37
Speaker
And she's so happy that she was part of that iconic picture. um But that was, it was actually a very uncomfortable moment in her life.
00:59:48
Speaker
I bet. bet. Yeah. So it kind of changes. But, you know, the point of it was that it was whenever the end of World War II and that would that picture like signifies the end of World War II. That's where that picture came from. Yeah.
01:00:07
Speaker
But then you add in that piece and it's like, ooh. It starts to feel oogie as it should. Yeah. It does make, yeah that can make for a very interesting high school discussion, like in an art class, like perspective and this, that, and the other. Cause obviously let's just, that guy is way out of line and it's kind of, just it was not it is disgusting, blah, blah, blah.
01:00:30
Speaker
But from a, if you're teaching about art, you know, you see it as one thing and then you find out some context and your opinion is going to shift. Right. well That's interesting.
01:00:41
Speaker
um and And a way of teaching us a lesson. Uh-huh. Yeah. Interesting. But Ross russ gets his hands on a Navy uniform um to surprise Rachel because she thinks she she thinks this is hot stuff.
Ross's Navy Uniform Surprise
01:00:57
Speaker
She's all for it.
01:00:58
Speaker
But she has some you some final little chores to do. She can't just walk out when Ross decides to walk in. So yeah, she has some things to do. And the way he just dumps her on the couch.
01:01:11
Speaker
I'm usually a little more on the side of Ross than you are. A little bit. But I don't like this. I don't like the way he just rolls her on the couch, holds his back, um and then proceeds just to leave. Yeah.
01:01:29
Speaker
he Yeah. yeah And my thought is, and I bet Joseph would back me up on this, If you pick up your wife in any capacity for any reason, I don't care if your vertebrae has snapped.
01:01:43
Speaker
You don't grab your back. Like that's bad form. Right? Right. Right. That's nothing. You hobble out of there and wait until she's out of sight and then grab your back if you need to.
01:01:53
Speaker
You don't. Come on, Ross. Yeah. Come on, Ross. You've been married. You know a thing or two. Yeah, it just, ew.
01:02:04
Speaker
Gross. Yeah. He's just gross. He is. It's not not not his not a shiny moment for him. No. But let's say I'm trying to think what what could we be drinking in this. ah You know what?
01:02:19
Speaker
We are sitting down. We're on the beach. We're outside of a candy shop and we have saltwater taffy in a jar is what we are. How many pieces are you buying?
01:02:30
Speaker
this week in honor of episode. You're buying eight. I like it. yeah I like it. yeah um I think I'm going to go seven and a half, I think. Okay. I like it.
01:02:42
Speaker
yeah Again, i had a quick look at IMDb and the people, the people have spoken, they tend to agree more with you. Like this is a lot of people's favorites of the favorite of this whole season.
01:02:53
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. I think it's solid. Some really good laugh. And I hate saying laugh out loud moments because that sounds so cliche, but it's true because there are some really funny moments in this one.
01:03:12
Speaker
Right. Oh, there's some great moments. I've really enjoyed the don't know. It feels a little removed from normal storylines with Ryan, the chicken pox, Joey going to work at Chandler's office. It's all a bit different.
01:03:26
Speaker
um Yeah. So I like it. I think it's ah it's a good, solid episode. Seven and a half. Well, I don't think maybe in the background we see Gunther, but who would be your Gunther Central Park, your favorite character or actor this week?
01:03:39
Speaker
Chandler. Hands down. All right. He's so funny. Yes. chand Chandler is brilliant. Yes. And he, you know, as always, he's just a very loyal friend. And, you know, like he got Joey that job.
01:03:57
Speaker
He didn't need to do that. He's already had bad experience getting a friend a job, but he did. and then he's got he's just so funny in this one.
01:04:09
Speaker
He really, really is. And I was going to choose him. I decided in the end to go with Joey just because of their interactions and their banter. And I like the way that Joey embraces being you know, a nine to five business guy, Joseph and his boat and his wife and his kids. And I just enjoy, cause I feel it's kind of good natured. He's cause usually if Joey's going lie, it's to have his way with somebody in a not so wholesome way.
01:04:39
Speaker
This seemed like it's still lying, but it was kind of more whole wholesome. And I just kind of liked it. It spoke to me a little bit. Yeah, it was, he was, he was a lying for his craft.
01:04:52
Speaker
Yes, that's exactly it. But I cannot believe it. Next week is the season two finale.
