00:00:17
Speaker
I'm doing great, Al. It's the weekends. Life is good. days nine is nice. I'm hoping it's going to rain. It rained on and off all day here today. was I went for a hike this afternoon with a few friends and it just, it would rain and stop and rain and stop.
00:00:36
Speaker
For, I don't know, three, four hours we were out. Nice. oh yeah i did I was cleaning. I was hardcore cleaning today, so I did not spend any time outside. But, man, my house is nice right now. It's a nice feeling to do that. Then you can just relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor and just...
00:00:57
Speaker
Until it gets messy again. Until. And round and round we go. Yeah. Exactly. Yes, but the weather is nice in this part of the world just now, so I'm enjoying every bit of it.
00:01:12
Speaker
Mm-hmm. All right, let's see.
Friends Trivia Fun
00:01:14
Speaker
What do we have going on this week? We are talking about the one with the tiny t-shirt, which I, of course, am excited to talk to you about. But first, as always, a little bamboozled.
00:01:27
Speaker
Our have been vetted and approved by Kate. And we had several duplicates, apparently. But we three are ready. Three. we had to go back and... and um i I had to come up with at least one more so I went ahead and came up with two.
00:01:47
Speaker
a smart boo be smart move. Well, it is even odd... Where are we? Oh, this is odd. Oh, so it's me.
00:01:59
Speaker
Sorry. you. No, you're fine. It's me. It's you. Alright, go for it. How long have Monica and Richard been broken up? Ah, okay.
00:02:13
Speaker
Does Pete say it's like a year? it is It is, okay Yeah to talk myself through that scenes Poor Pete I really like Pete I like Pete even at this it ah Even in this scene I think he handles it really well He does, absolutely But also, he's
Monica and Richard's Breakup Debate
00:02:37
Speaker
no fool No, he knows what's going on He can read people He knows what's going on and then And the thing I like, man, is she and she's like, you're so you're so um confident for somebody that just found that out. And I'm like, yeah, because he he's a good dude.
00:02:58
Speaker
He is, he is. I do like Pete Becker. I'm looking forward to to diving into that character a little more this week and in the next few. um Speaking of Pete, my first question for you.
00:03:12
Speaker
What two things does Pete say voice recognition will be able to understand but not do? Oh, yeah wash my car and clean my room.
00:03:23
Speaker
Ding, ding, ding. You would have enjoyed that today. Yes, yes. um All right. What's on Gunther's vest?
00:03:38
Speaker
this is This is not count as the answer, but I know it's a chess piece. ah No, no, it's not. It's ah it's a club. It's the club from the deck of cards. Okay, very good. Yes. do I said chess piece with confidence. And then as I said, i was like, that doesn't sound right.
00:03:54
Speaker
Yeah, I know. I was trying to really watch my face. Don't react. Don't react. and That's right.
00:04:03
Speaker
Yes. I did write down the colors of of the vest somewhere, the waistcoat somewhere in my notes. Yeah, that was a whole vibe. His whole outfit.
00:04:14
Speaker
A bold, bold man is Gunther Central Park. But not all that bold because he still won't ask Rachel out. Bold in clothing, timid yeah in his voice. yeah Right, right.
00:04:28
Speaker
All Well, it's two one to me. Let's see if we can make a four out of four between us. Why does or what does Phoebe say was the reason that they, being the people that do not live there, are in Monica's apartment?
00:04:42
Speaker
ah they needed it They were out of Doritos. I cannot look at a bag of Doritos without saying it like Phoebe does in this scene. It's one of those words. If I see it on the shelf somewhere, I have to say Doritos.
00:04:56
Speaker
But she does. Yeah, with that and inflection. and It's just so smart. It really is.
00:05:10
Speaker
All right, what have you got for me? Oh, it's me. It is. I was like, all right, I'm ready. You're ready. ah Okay. What are the names of the two main
Trivia Game and Character Details
00:05:19
Speaker
characters in the play?
00:05:24
Speaker
Okay. You've got this.
00:05:29
Speaker
me think about this one for a minute.
00:05:37
Speaker
Oh, I think I have. ah
00:05:42
Speaker
I'm going with Hector and Beth. Dang! No! Not even close! Really? Adrian and Victor. Wow! mean, I guess Hector and Victor are kind of close. No, but not no not close. enough wonder what I was thinking.
00:06:02
Speaker
I wonder if that was the one. Kate did say you had one. Dang. wonder if that was it. ah Maybe. Maybe. all right um you do not need to get this word for one you'll i'll get a little oh but i want to i know you do whatever the question is yeah i want it word for word um all right let's see what does monica say pete has two of oh the imperial stormtrooper outfits yes yeah just for fun where did where do you buy them
00:06:35
Speaker
Oh, my God. Okay, guess what my question number six is. Where do you... What store are the Imperial Stormtrooper suits from? Sharper Image. Sharper Image. Is that still around? Sharper Image? Do you know? I don't know. Yeah.
00:06:52
Speaker
i don't I don't think so. Pretty big back in the day, right? Oh, yeah. Sharper Image and then the other one. Was it Brookstone... Or one of those mall stores that everybody went into, but you didn't ever buy anything.
00:07:10
Speaker
Brookstone sounds familiar. Was it Brookstone? Is that right? I don't know. Yeah. Okay. I'm not sure. Uh-oh. Well, ah hopefully my next two questions are good. Otherwise, womp, womp.
00:07:24
Speaker
Well, let's see. you You're three of three. Let's see if I can catch up with this question. All right. Here we go. Oh, it's me. yes ah What teen magazine voted dr Drake Ramore the most dateable neurosurgeon?
00:07:48
Speaker
I know it's not the answer that's in my head because that's from a Frasier episode, which is teen scene, which is not the answer. I'm going with teen beat. I don't know. That's correct. It really is. Nice job. Wow. That was stuck in the back the head, that one. All right. This one, I'm going to be honest, it feels a little unfair.
00:08:13
Speaker
It feels like this is a tough one. Okay. So his name is Marcus. We don't find that out i think it's until later, but he's the director of the play. Right. Yeah, we don't know his name yet.
00:08:25
Speaker
We don't. um His second line, he says a food-related metaphor.
00:08:35
Speaker
Oh, my God. He tells Kate and Joey, because they're just not feeling it, he says they need to do something. It's an acting direction, and it's a food metaphor.
00:08:48
Speaker
It does feel unfeamer. No, it's okay. Hang on.
00:08:57
Speaker
Is it squeeze the juice? it's It's not that is a Joey's going on about juice because everyone asks him to open the juice when they find out he did. Oh, that's milk. No, it's juice because that's what Ross asks for. Oh, that's right. Yep.
Monica and Pete's Relationship
00:09:16
Speaker
This one is about digging deeper into your acting um layers. Oh, peel back the onion. Peel the onion. Yes. Yeah. Yes. Now you get that because that was a trick. I just love that line.
00:09:31
Speaker
I do like Marcus a lot. Okay. So at my house, it's all, um, they, ah everybody in my house says that and like, he's like an onion. Peel back the layers.
00:09:44
Speaker
Right. Because it, uh, from Shrek. It's from Shrek? Yeah, because, you know, there's some line that Donkey says. but i love it.
00:09:58
Speaker
All right, this one is actually very unfair. Okay, great. I'm going to go ahead and tell you because I had already decided I wasn't going to ask it. I was going to flip-flop it and ask you what store the Imperial Stormtrooper suits were from. But here we are. um All right, so who's the author of Joey's play?
00:10:20
Speaker
Wow, that's a tough one. That's a good one, though. I like it. um and Or I could... um I don't know. Then that would make it really easy. But if you can tell me like the scene or or why that even comes up, how that comes up, or anything about the author, then that's good.
00:10:51
Speaker
I cannot even think of the, sometimes you think of the scene where it would have been. And I, I have no idea.
00:11:02
Speaker
I don't know. You're going to have to tell me. Okay. Jennifer Bambari. Wow. That doesn't even ring a bell. Okay, well, and and it wouldn't because it was passing whenever their... k Her name's Kate.
00:11:20
Speaker
And Joey have their first conversation and she's being a snot. She's being very snobby. And so she says that, um you know, oh, she loves Jennifer Bramberry's work. It's very... as She starts talking about like and how she develops the characters or something. I can't remember exactly what she...
00:11:43
Speaker
says right um but it's kind of fun because they make a comment later about how she went to school was it yell drama yes Okay, so je there is Jen Branberry, who is actually a playwright who went to school at Yale.
00:12:04
Speaker
So anyway, that's just fun. yeah Is it possible, I'm sure I just don't remember the scene, is it possible that was a bit that was cut from the stream? No, it's not. No, it's in there. Okay. Okay. I just didn't catch it. No, but there was, um, uh, one that I had asked you about and it was who makes 20 or 20 grand a year and only works nights.
00:12:31
Speaker
Yeah. No, I have no idea. And it's because it's an operator. And they're talking about somebody being a and like a smooth operator.
00:12:43
Speaker
And then they're like, well, she would never date him because he only makes 20 grand. Right. And works nights. No, yeah, didn't see that bit. This is for a perfect score.
00:12:55
Speaker
Five out five you if you get it. All right. Sorry about that. That was probably loud. No, no. I i appreciate the excitement. Yeah. How old does Rachel say Ross was when he was last able to wear?
Ross and Rachel's Relationship Challenges
00:13:09
Speaker
15. You didn't even beat the question.
00:13:11
Speaker
You didn't even beat the five out of five. Nice. Look at you. Okay. Well, ask me the extra one because I know you have one. I've got one extra because we had several duplicates.
00:13:23
Speaker
What role did sliced bread play according to Chandler?
00:13:30
Speaker
Oh, Macbeth. Lady Macbeth. Yes. Yeah. yeah Yes. You are on a roll. Yeah. ah All right. fun Fun. That was good.
00:13:44
Speaker
It's just looking at the scores. You have a, you you are just better. I'm either on or I'm not. Right. But you're more often on. You are. This is fantastic. man right let's fire into this episode we're going to start off in central park we talked about gunther and his you know what oh quick side note before we get too far into this Well, listen, I noted down every single coffee cup, the color.
00:14:11
Speaker
this this Okay, so did Yellow mug. He's wiping the blue mug, then the yellow mug. She's holding a pink mug Yeah.
00:14:21
Speaker
Well, we went back and forth as to what color Rachel's mug was, because it was kind of pink. Kate thought it was it was rose we Yeah, I would have never been that picky. we know this. We do, but this is the one time there was no mug questions.
00:14:37
Speaker
And I have a list, I tell you. That's so funny. yeah Because I'll tell you, i went through and I was like, I've noticed that you don't ask your questions in order. So I've changed the way that I go writing my questions.
00:14:52
Speaker
I take all of my notes, you know, and then I kind of, and then I'm like, okay, what's something that popped into my brain that I wanted to hang on to for the question. And um in my notes, I've got that. Oh, and here was another one that I had in there, but it was a cut line because she said, oh whenever Mark comes in and they're going to go shopping.
00:15:18
Speaker
Yes. And um she says, yeah, i've um I have a positive balance on my on my card sorry and i want to um and want to go shopping before citibank goes under and i thought that was so weird because city bank 36 years later is not under yeah that is interesting they would name name a bank like that um
00:15:54
Speaker
And the city group is a real thing like CIT. Yeah. Well, it's Citibank. It's Citibank's a card. Yeah. I mean, um they didn't go under.
00:16:06
Speaker
No, that's that's not that's a peculiar. i wonder what that was about. I don't know. it see I wonder if they were having really bad problems in the 90s or something. I should have looked it up. But it didn't matter because you didn't get that line. Right. So, whatever. to be We get didn't see that. yeah I just see Gunther pouring Rachel coffee and he's got like the little monologue in his head.
00:16:29
Speaker
Oh, yeah. just, he loves Rachel. There is no doubt. um Yeah, a bold fashion choice not matched by his actions. Um, But speaking of bold fashion choices, I couldn't help but notice Mark's jacket is massive.
00:16:46
Speaker
Like, yeah, beyond the the fashion or the style. and This is a guy in fashion. It looked multiple sizes too big. who Yeah.
00:16:56
Speaker
Yeah, it was weird. See, but was I don't know. I don't know if, I don't know. It was weird. Yeah, just seemed like an odd, yes, it was an odd choice. he ends up coming in and they're going to go shopping, but actually i just asked Rachel out.
Fashion Critique in Friends
00:17:15
Speaker
And Gunther walks into the back room and just, I don't know, knocks over every cup in the place, I think. And then says he dropped a cup. Yes. Okay, now Al, hang on.
00:17:28
Speaker
Because this is the second time that we've had a giant male jacket on somebody. Yes. Okay. So I wonder if it was a style that they were trying to like get on.
00:17:46
Speaker
Right. So um um I think yeah know you could be right. I don't remember if that was teenager like in the 90s. Like the man bag yeah that they tried to do. you know Yeah, I know suits and things like that were all just bigger and baggier than they are now.
00:18:05
Speaker
yeah But yeah, I do wonder about the jacket because it's noticeably far too big. um and I feel. yeah cute We'll keep an eye on that, I think. And then, because it was Joey before, and he wore it in more than one episode.
00:18:21
Speaker
Yeah. So, i don't know. Maybe. oita maybe I think on to something. Men's fashion is weird. It really is, because it seems very...
00:18:36
Speaker
I don't know. It's not like women's fashion where it's kind of all over the place, you know? Right. Yeah, it's definitely a narrower scope, I think.
00:18:48
Speaker
Let's see, where are we? We go, and we hear Gunther smashing all the the cups and mugs and whatever else. We go up to the hallway and Pete and Monica coming back from a date.
00:18:59
Speaker
um He's talking about data and voice recognition. um This is where he says it will be able to understand what's it wash your car, clean your room, but it won't be able to do all that stuff.
00:19:12
Speaker
um How far we have come with all that stuff since that was sort of on the edge of technology. um But yeah, good old Pete, nice guy. He's a gentleman. He's doing the right thing. But Monica just kind of, what did she say? Like, get out of here, you. No, that's later on.
00:19:31
Speaker
She just says goodbye, something like that. um Chandler Ross and Phoebe are... No, she kisses him on the cheek. That's right. He kind of goes in for a kiss. Well, he's like messing with her jacket and you kind of think like they're about to kiss. Right. Or she gets him on the cheek.
00:19:52
Speaker
And then he's like, see you later. Yes. Like she's trying, but if you don't feel it, you don't feel it. mood That's nobody's fault. um But she's just not attracted to Pete at all. She's telling Chandler Ross and Phoebe who have come into our cat house. There was a Doritos emergency as we talked about in Bamboozled.
00:20:13
Speaker
um So yeah, so it's nobody's fault. Nobody's fault. But I'd hope for better things with Chandler and Monica. Chandler and Monica. Pete and Monica. Whoa. Spoiler alert. Yeah, ruined things. Yeah.
00:20:30
Speaker
That this is one of these, there's something in this scene, it it bugs me more than it should. It is possibly... Yeah? I was wondering if this bothered you too. I was like, hopefully it doesn't look like that on the streaming.
00:20:46
Speaker
Oh, but yes, it does. Okay, where the sound is not right. it's Matt LeBlanc isn't even saying the words. It's not like it's off a little.
00:20:58
Speaker
it Yeah. He's just moving his mouth completely differently than the thing. I wondered if he had to dub over it because he's moving so much and turning around. I don't know. But it's way, it they say it's not even off. It's different words.
00:21:15
Speaker
Yeah. See, which is weird. I don't know. yeah I don't know. See, I wonder what he was actually saying whenever he went through. Because, yeah, i it's not clear enough for me to be able to read his lips, you
Addressing Inappropriate Language in Education
00:21:32
Speaker
know? Right. I tried.
00:21:34
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. But, yeah, but then that next, well, maybe Gloria Estefan's right. The rhythm is going to get you. And I died. I thought that was so funny.
00:21:47
Speaker
It's a clever line. I love that one. It is. It is. We go over to the theater. I was trying to catch the name of the theater. I don't think we saw it anywhere. um but I can tell you, Joey is drinking coffee out of a mug with horses.
00:22:03
Speaker
I can tell you that. Holy cow. Okay, good. I did not even notice that. Yeah. Oh, I took i checked. Yeah.
00:22:14
Speaker
Wow. So Joey meets Kate Miller, who's his his co-star in this play. And she is, wrote down, frosty. she's yeah She's not exactly a warm and welcoming co-worker. I think she thinks she's above him.
00:22:28
Speaker
um she's just yeah doesn't seem very conducive to a ah warm working environment she recognizes him from the milk the milk carton uh yeah what's it what's it kevin isn't it you please kevin yes yes good old kevin um yeah well and then she something she said i was like wow that didn't age well
00:22:56
Speaker
Yes, oh, the cousins. Yes. Yes. yeah i was like, oh, oh, Yeah, it's one of those words that yet thankfully has moved. Yes, we've left that in the 90s.
00:23:10
Speaker
Yes, yes. ay Interestingly enough, I had to have a conversation with George the other day because i it's not a word that we use. It's not a word and it's, and so like, and it's,
00:23:31
Speaker
he did not realize what an offensive word it was right right and so um yeah it that was a very odd conversation i had to have with him the other day yeah and you know it's one that we've both been in education long enough for these things to happen and some you just don't know until you know and sometimes We as educators are the first people to let kids know, hey, you know what? That warrant is it's not one we use anymore.
00:24:02
Speaker
It can really upset people, which is always icky, but yeah I'd rather I tell them than somebody punch them in the face for using it in the wrong setting. Well, you know do you know what? I had a conversation with a kid literally this past week, and it was โ I'm telling you, like, you need to be very careful because you use, and it wasn't that word. It was another one. I said, but you use that one just out and about a football game. I said, a kid's not going to go tell the teacher. Right. So that's not what's going to happen. You're going to get punched. Yeah.
00:24:40
Speaker
Yeah. And I don't want that. No, we'd rather not. Rather not. So we've got to have those conversations. and All as part of the parts of the gig.
00:24:51
Speaker
um So, side note, Matt LeBlanc and the actress who plays Kate Miller, who is Dina Meyer, they both have the same agent in real life or had at the same time. That was one of the reasons she got you know got cast in this role. That makes sense. But yeah, she's she's just not a nice human being at this point, I don't think.
00:25:12
Speaker
She's just a... so She's very snobbish. Yeah. Yeah, for no reason as well. That's the thing. Yeah. I don't get... A very classical, like, diva-type situation, right?
00:25:26
Speaker
Right. But then, and I remember now, like, the the director and how he is. Yes. And so, of course, I just...
00:25:37
Speaker
I don't know. I don't understand people who just, that's the way that they want to be. Yeah, that's the kind of default persona. it's Right. It's a weird Especially for somebody that you're going to be working so closely with for the next foreseeable couple of months. yeah Absolutely. And just, it just added to me, it seems exhausting.
00:25:58
Speaker
Like, yeah speech just be nice. Just... Yeah. what Life works better that way, I find, rather than a world full Kate. Not my Kate, not my darling bride, Mustred. She's quite nice. I like her.
00:26:12
Speaker
Kate Miller, not so much.
00:26:15
Speaker
Um, let's see. We go over to central park. Phoebe's talking to Rachel is talking to Phoebe about Mark and the fact that he's asked her out and she goes, I'm going to say no. It's just not right.
00:26:27
Speaker
I will let you know that Phoebe has a yellow mug that says cosmic jolt on it. Oh, we've seen that, and that mug was um in the first scene on the counter. Indeed. i do wonder i keep We've talked about cosmic jolts before, and I keep meaning to look up and see if you can buy these mugs because I quite like them. um But Rachel's like, it's just not the time. it's just i think I think she's in a good place, and she doesn't want to jump into something else. So she's going to say no to Mark, even though she obviously...
00:26:58
Speaker
likes him, like their friends and colleagues and they seem to get along. um We go to over to the boys' apartment. Joey's ranting to Chandler about Kate.
00:27:09
Speaker
um I love the fact he he's kind of like, he's almost childlike. Like they're picking on me and they're asking me to open their, whatever it is. Was it? It's not their milk.
00:27:20
Speaker
Is it their milk? Yeah. Yeah. yeah Then they laugh at me when I can't do it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, man. Okay, did you see the Magna Doodle?
00:27:32
Speaker
I did see the Magna Doodle. Did you see what's written on it? So I could make out most of it. It looked like a grocery list on the left with like milk and eggs and cheese or something. And then Joey, call your dad.
00:27:44
Speaker
Oh, beer. Uh-huh. And then Joey, call your dad or something on the other side. Yeah. Uh-huh. Okay, cool. But it's way bigger than the actual Magna Doodle that ends up on their door.
00:27:56
Speaker
Yes, different Magna Doodle. Yes. Yeah. yeah um You know what? We discussed the fact that last week was the first time of the Magna Doodle was seen. And neither one of us ants saw it. And so i made a I made a note whenever it popped up on the screen this week because I didn't even notice it last week. I didn't i i i need to go back and see if I notice or what it said.
00:28:21
Speaker
I wonder if I should commit to trying to write down every message we see on the Magna Doodle. That seems like a pretty big one. It does seem like a lot of one. We'll see if that happens to jump out. Ross comes in wearing a massive jacket again.
00:28:38
Speaker
so again It may just be the style of the time. Who knows? It's definitely oversized. He's quite he's He's being a little pompous. A little overconfident. Just because Rachel wants to see him, he assumes that she wants him back.
00:28:55
Speaker
And he's kind of full of himself. and I don't know. It's time to be a little more humble, Ross, to try and get to the goal.
Ross's Awkward Confidence with Rachel
00:29:04
Speaker
That's alright. He's about to get knocked back down. He is. He is.
00:29:09
Speaker
Because he walks over to Rachel's like he is just all that... um The way he kind of strolls in like he's not too bothered about Rachel. like just ah not Not a good look being so overly confident when you've got no reason to be.
00:29:27
Speaker
Rachel has a box of his stuff. and i was gonna ask you about the things that were in the box indeed we both had to cancel out some questions about the uh was it the triceratops mug uh was it yeah yeah it was i think it was a triceratops on the mug we don't say that so yeah but well and i said rhinoceros slash triceratops Because it looks like a rhinoceros, but i was like, why would it be a rhinoceros versus a triceratops from the museum gift shop?
00:30:04
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah, but hats, shirts, CDs, and other stuff. Yes. Then we come to the T-shirt, because he he says, where's my T-shirt? Rachel's like, I love that shirt. She sleeps in it.
00:30:19
Speaker
But he starts acting like, no, I guess he does have every right to ask for it back, but it's Ross, and I'm not going to say it was Ross in this. like Yeah. You know...
00:30:31
Speaker
Well, and he sucks in this whole scene. He sucks. And the thing is, like, and and that was one of the things that I was going over in my head before we started recording and everything is that, you know, I have a real hard time whenever Ross does something that I'm like, that was the right thing.
00:30:53
Speaker
And at the end of the episode, I'm like, of course you did the right thing. He does the right thing in the end. But the way I see it, the T-shirt was a gift, like the mug from the gift shop.
00:31:06
Speaker
yeah So he doesn't really have a right back to it. If Rachel is sleeping in that shop every night, I think he's giving it to her. no Right. Especially considering he hasn't worn it since he was 15.
00:31:19
Speaker
Right. And he can't wear it even though he tries. um but and But it also, because the first thing he says whenever she starts telling him about the box is, are you trying to hurt me? Right. Like he takes it very personally. And that's why he went for the shirt because he's trying to hurt her.
00:31:39
Speaker
and that's why she's like, you petty man. like she's That's right. Petty. Petty. I was going to try and count how many times they both say petty together. That went through my head. I was like, I wonder if Al's going to ask me that. I thought about it and I thought you either know or you don't. Like you can't really figure it out or anything. So just it felt like it would be unfair. But that did cross my mind. That's funny. That's funny. Quite the famous scene of of Ross ripping off his sweat and throwing on the Frankie says relax shirt that's far too small.
00:32:14
Speaker
um Then he it is quite funny the way he kind of storms out and leaves the door open. Yeah, and and the look he gives her as he does it, like, hmm, there. where does You can get in the door.
00:32:29
Speaker
um Yeah, good total, a tool a indeed. Quite funny at the end of this scene. um We pop over to Central Park. I like Pete in with the rest of the gang. He seems like a natural fit.
00:32:44
Speaker
There's a white coffee cup and a yellow coffee cup on the table.
00:32:49
Speaker
I'm telling you, every coffee cup got noted down. Now, would I have remembered during Bamboozle? Probably not. but That's funny, though. That's very funny. Pete seems like one of the guys, one of the gang...
00:33:04
Speaker
He just fits in. we were both going to ask each other about the state names, I believe. Yes, were. Yeah, was it? Pete Dakota is one Pete comes up with. Mississippi is great.
00:33:19
Speaker
And then Joey, Pete Chicago. Poor old Joey. Geography, not his strong suit. No. But Chandler's just enamored with the fact that he's their age.
00:33:32
Speaker
Yes. And, you know, incredibly wealthy. Yeah. But he leaves and... Oh, sorry, go ahead. Go ahead. No, but that's all. Okay.
00:33:43
Speaker
So whenever I was in my twenties and you would see like football players and baseball players, music artists, I always be like, and the end I'm one year older than them or, you know, as always. um But yeah, I wonder, i don't know like that. It makes me laugh whenever, because yeah, Chandler who we know is very money conscious.
00:34:11
Speaker
and very, you know, if trying to do the right thing financially and in his job and all of that, you know, and that he's the one who is so hung up on the fact that, and you're our age, right?
00:34:29
Speaker
You know, you've done all these things. You're, you're all of this and, and you're our age. and Yeah. Like he's so far ahead. Um,
00:34:41
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. And let's see, Pete gets up to leave and this is remind like they're on for a date tomorrow, but she still won't kiss him and she rubs his head. Um, listen, like get out of here, you.
00:34:53
Speaker
Yes. And then she walks over and there's a cut line because she's talking to them and she's like, you know, is there something wrong with me? Everybody's either too old or too young. And then she goes, or misogynistic something like Julio, who I'm still attracted to. Wow.
00:35:15
Speaker
I know. That's a great, it's a really interesting line. Uh-huh. And I'm like, wow, she pulled Julio back in there. Yeah, Julio who won't back. Whose name I couldn't think of last week. Yeah.
00:35:30
Speaker
Interestingly, he gets sort of about a mention again. But yeah, she's she's on for the on for the date tomorrow. um She's trying.
00:35:41
Speaker
She's trying. They're trying. Yeah. Yeah, it's whatever Shouldn't be this hard, guys. Exactly. It should be easy. We go back over to the theater. Kate Miller and Joey reading through the script. but yeah I just like this director.
00:35:55
Speaker
um Just his... Really? looks of creepy. you're not creepy yeah Yeah, he does. He looks greasy. greasy yes That might be a better word.
00:36:07
Speaker
Yeah. it's just yeah yeah And he's wearing a big old jacket. Yeah. right there's something to this big jacket thing in the mid 90s yeah um so he says that their acting is tasty and he likes what they're doing um and kate doesn't understand why her character i've written it attracted to victor and then joey says because it's in the script and he doesn't get why his is then attracted to her and they're just kind of squabbling yeah yeah and how when he calls her and he's like she's like it doesn't say that in mine and he's like it doesn't mind that's right that's right yeah but they're like two school children at this point can argue for no reason they just don't like each other I mean I get where Joy's coming from because she's been pretty mean to him but for some reason she's just yeah well and you know what Now that where I wonder if she's not attracted to him. I mean, she obviously is. And she's being like that to make sure that it, you know, keep him at a arm's length. Maybe that's it.
00:37:21
Speaker
Maybe that's it. She's trying, because obviously she's dating the director. We can find out... find out soon.
00:37:31
Speaker
We go back up to the hallway, Ross and Chandler, I guess been playing racquetball. That's the thing that they often do. That looks kind of the shape of the, the, well, the rackets that they have in their hands.
00:37:43
Speaker
And then Mark and Rachel walk by them and I could feel the awkwardness through the television. Like, yeah, just oh it's uncomfortable. It is a Chandler's just like, staring.
00:37:56
Speaker
Any chance you didn't see that? Right. Yeah. Oh, it's it's it's like I feel for Ross in that moment, whether it's everything he deserves or not, I do feel a little bit. That's just uncomfortable.
00:38:11
Speaker
And we're back. We had a small technical glitch there, hopefully not too noticeable. But yeah, Ross was in the hallway and poor old Ross. I do feel for him at this moment. That's just not fun for anyone to to be in that awkward situation.
Humor and Lines Analysis in Friends
00:38:26
Speaker
Oh, for sure. Okay. And I thought it was funny. Um, whenever Chandler's talking about putting gel and he's like, you know, I put used gel, something else. And then there's still this little calicky thing. The way he kind slaps his head. Yeah.
00:38:42
Speaker
But do you have calyx? I don't know. I've never. Lucky you. Yeah. Okay. So I have one that's really showing up really good right now, right here.
00:38:55
Speaker
And um and but whenever Haley came over, like um it was before Easter, like that week before Easter, I had her cut my bangs because they were too long. And ever since then, like if it's whatever, but like it, that side of my bangs just kind of goes up Right. Because I got a cowlick here. But I've got a cowlick there. I've got one here in my front. I'm sure I have one in the back, but I don't allow my hair to get that short because then my head looks like a basketball. But both of my boys have got cowlicks. They've got the Dennis the Menace one right there in the back.
00:39:36
Speaker
Right. or Alfalfa, everybody. um And whenever, poor George, man, I took him for a haircut the other day and like everything just sticks up everywhere.
00:39:48
Speaker
And he has to work really hard. And like, if you go to somebody who doesn't know, but anyway, Calyx are a whole pain. And I felt that for Chandler. And you sympathized.
00:40:01
Speaker
I did. And then ah like, he's talking to Ross, who is the king of gel. no He does enjoy a bit of gel. does our ro sweat hair Yes. And was Phoebe goes, some kind of grease.
00:40:20
Speaker
We end up in the boys apartment. This is one of my favorite scenes of the episode. Oh, yes. Chandler's watching basketball. i was trying to figure out is the Nixon somebody couldn't figure out who was on the on the television.
00:40:32
Speaker
um but ross is i love his stance as he's looking through the peephole he's gonna get peep eye if he's not careful though um it's but he is he is obsessed i think he's complaining that rachel has moved too fast i mean it's been only three weeks and chandler's line about bullets have left guns slower oh yes my goodness that's a funny line It is. And then that's whenever they start talking about the operators.
00:41:03
Speaker
Because then he's like, he's an operator. He's an operator. And he's like, well, Rachel would never date him. They only make 20 grand a year and work nights. Right. And then he's like, oh, I need juice. So he's ready to run over there. And then.
00:41:22
Speaker
It's, it's. Can you hear me all right? Yeah. just Yeah. Yeah. yeah Oh, we had little technical issue earlier. If it comes back, just let me know and we'll pause it. I wonder what that is. There's a buzzing on the line. We'll see. It's like a staticky thing.
00:41:39
Speaker
Right. Let me know if it gets too bad because I'll try and edit it out. Okay. And we'll just pause and we'll start again. um But yeah, the bullets have left guns slower line. I think it's fantastic. But then suddenly Ross sees Mark.
00:41:55
Speaker
and And realizes he's going in. And this is where the juice situation comes into play. Because people need juice. And he starts freaking out. That's right. Yes. Yeah. And Chandler ends up on his back with his feet on the door.
00:42:12
Speaker
Like how they came up with this idea Chandler's feet are on the door and one of Ross's. Yeah. Like just the whole physical physicality of that just made me laugh because I was like, what a mess. Yeah.
00:42:26
Speaker
Yeah, like how um that's not normal for friends, like to get that level of physical comedy. So like why this scene? Because I mean, it's brilliant. Don't get me wrong. It's like, but what inspired them to get to that level of physical comedy? in This scene? I don't know. that it's I'm so glad they did. Yeah.
00:42:44
Speaker
Well, okay. And then you know that Monica is stronger than Ross. Yes. But in this scene, like he's got Chandler and the foosball table and it's only just barely slowing him down.
00:43:04
Speaker
And I'm like, okay. So like that freakishly strong piece is genetic. Yes. It's in both of the gallows. Yes, they are strong.
00:43:15
Speaker
Well, jack's Jack's a bit of kind of broad guy. Yeah. Yeah, so maybe it came through. neither one of them are broad, so I'm wondering if it's not from Judy.
00:43:26
Speaker
Could be. Yeah, Judy's. Judy, I bet. I bet you she's an ex-wrestler. i think she might I think you might be on to something.
00:43:37
Speaker
I think so. We go over to the girls' apartment. This is where Rachel and Mark are going to have a cup of coffee. I was going to ask you, we know how we know Monica has at least how many coffee cups? 27. At least 27, because that's the one that could be missing, because she has numbered all of them.
00:43:58
Speaker
That's so funny. It's a lot of... good We just got rid of... it We've got two sets of coffee cups. We've got ones that are in a little China cabinet thing that's in our dining room. with You know, they're ones that we've got on our travels or, you know, meaningful ones.
00:44:14
Speaker
And then we have our day-to-day coffee cups. I don't know, maybe six or eight of them. But that's it. that's That's all we use. We don't need any more. So why somebody would have 27 coffee cups, you know, when they're not married and no children...
00:44:28
Speaker
that's a lot of mugs and so ocd right because oh yeah we every so often we have to go through and get rid of cups and get rid of because we we just accumulate them i don't know what that's all about but we sure do we sure do yeah we we tend to yeah i'd say once or twice a year we end filling a box of various kitchen appliances dishes just things that some yeah things it's time to We've brought in the new. We need to get rid of the old.
00:45:00
Speaker
um But bar Mark makes his move, and it's not well received. Rachel lets him down nicely. It's not... its Truly, it's a... What's that expression? you know It's not you, it's me.
00:45:13
Speaker
That is genuinely the situation here. I think Rachel handles it very well. um And she's just doing it to get back at Ross. um then And then Mark is...
00:45:26
Speaker
kind of funny there right right it's like well yeah like i remember hey but you know what i'm here to support you yeah I'm here for you. And I was like, oh, man. So I kind of like the fact that Mark was funny and Rachel also saw the funny side of it.
00:45:45
Speaker
Like she wasn't like down in the dumps or get out or like, you know, they're still friends. I think they're friends. Yeah. Which is nice because, you know, they, it's good.
00:45:56
Speaker
But yeah. Yeah. Just silly. Nice ending. We go over to what I guess, looking for the name of the hospital. The Midget Rodeo. yeah yeah that's right what the heck it's so funny um do you have any feelings on john bon jovi oh i love john bon jovi okay and then see joseph didn't know that millie bobby brown is married to john bon jovi's son did you know that i do you know who millie bobby brown is well that's uh whitney houston and bobby brown's daughter right
00:46:34
Speaker
No. Who's that? No. my God. No. Oh, that's just Bobby Brown. Yeah. Bobby Brown's the dad. yeah don't Doesn't he have a child called Bobby spelled differently? Am I making that? Maybe. I'm probably making that up Oh, geez. I don't know. Anyway, who's Millie Bobby Joseph didn't believe me that Millie Bobby Brown's name was mill is Millie Bobby Brown. Millie Bobby Brown is like the lead character in Stranger Things.
00:47:04
Speaker
Which I've never gotten into. Oh my gosh. It's so good, Al. Everyone in my home adores it. But it's not your jam. We've talked about this. Yeah. did Nothing wrong with it. It just didn't grab me.
00:47:19
Speaker
And you're not a big fan of creepy, scary, gross things. Not really. See, but I'm really not either. But Stranger Things is different. It's so.
00:47:32
Speaker
Okay. But anyway. in it's Sorry. I digress. So you you are obviously right. But yeah, Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, had she unfortunately passed away, had a daughter also called Bobby Brown spelled differently.
00:47:46
Speaker
So I think that's where my head was. Okay. Well, Millie Bobby Brown. Millie Bobby Brown. Millie. Millie Bobby Brown is the... She's an actress and she's she's fabulous. And she's married to Jon Bon Jovi's son who looks just like Jon Bon Jovi looked whenever he was younger. Right. Very handsome, nice looking man. Jon Bon Jovi, I still feel like is a very nice looking man.
00:48:14
Speaker
But unfortunately, he has aged, which is weird. Because why Yeah, you and I, we haven't aged. I haven't aged at all. No. But man, like, no, man. And I love his music. Like, he's got some real ah good songs.
00:48:32
Speaker
Oh, yeah. Don't go Jovi. Like, and whenever, okay you know, I spent a summer living in Mexico teaching English. Did I tell you? Did you know that?
00:48:43
Speaker
I did not know that. ah did I did. worked down there with a rotary club. So my aunt hooked me up with somebody in Louisville, in the Louisville Rotary Club. And they were like getting teachers um over summer break ah and sending them to different Spanish-speaking countries. And so you had to have at least like two years of education speaking Spanish.
00:49:12
Speaker
And I have like five years. Can I speak Spanish? No, but I can sure try. you you gave it a good effort, I'm sure. Yeah, yeah. um ah So anyway, we got to go and we left like right as soon as school was out.
00:49:31
Speaker
And then we were down there until the end of summer. And during the day, we taught kids. And at night, we taught adults. And then in the middle of the day, um like between the classes, They would take us, like different families from the Rotary Club would like come and take it. My roommate's name was Laura, but they'd come and pick up me and Laura. And then they would take us like to their home.
00:49:56
Speaker
And we would, they would cook us authentic meals and teach us different things. Like we got to go to a bull fight and we got to, we spent a lot of time on ranches and things like that. It was really cool.
00:50:10
Speaker
And um yeah, then but while we were down there, a hurricane came through. And so at the school where we were teaching ended up being a like a refuge where they brought all of the tourists.
00:50:24
Speaker
So we weren't able to teach for a week because. the hurricane came through and and then messed up a bunch of stuff and cleaning up our area was not the top priority and so we helped clean and and do things and then they were like yeah we'll go back we'll restart classes next week so then her and i went to isla mujeres where there was another set of American teachers.
00:50:56
Speaker
And then we got to go down there and like we did the um like we did the ruins and all touristy kinds of things it is really cool. So so he I had no idea.
00:51:09
Speaker
But I forgot to tell you the whole point of all of that was while we were down there, there were two American artists that everybody was all about to John Bon Jovi was one of them.
00:51:23
Speaker
And then the other one, do you want to guess? It's another one that we've actually talked about. Really? Yes, and neither one of us are a huge fan.
00:51:35
Speaker
Okay, who... I'm going to draw a blank on who we have talked about. is it Is it an American artist? um I think so.
00:51:48
Speaker
Okay, because I had one in my head, but they're not American that we've talked about. who uh two yeah that's who is it is it's bono uh irish fellow yes okay well there you okay yeah it's just i just don't get it i've never got youtube thing yeah oh my god they were so all about so like whenever we go they'd say oh yeah, and we love your music. And then they would play us, and it always was either John Bon Jovi or Bono. That's so funny. ah
00:52:21
Speaker
Bon Jovi I can get down with. like i'm not I don't pretend to be a huge fan in the sense of I don't know all of the songs kind of thing, but the yeah iconic, an iconic voice.
00:52:32
Speaker
And seems like a pretty nice guy from all from what you could... you could tell. Seems like a nice guy. I guess so. He's a grandpa. Yeah. just I just looked him up and you were right. His son Jake looks man alive just like him.
00:52:47
Speaker
Isn't that crazy? Yeah. Handsome man. Yeah. Like no DNA test required. You can see it. There's no doubt.
00:52:58
Speaker
um But yeah, pete Pete, again, Pete, I just i just like him. He's like margaret like, where are we going with this? They're in the hospital some ribbon cutting ceremony. And he's just being nice. He's like, you know, what's the deal here?
00:53:12
Speaker
She tries to make up some excuses, I think, to spare his feelings, but then realizes that she really doesn't need to spare his feelings. You know, just be honest. He can take it. He's fine. um But he's not giving up. He's like, you know, just give it a bit of time.
00:53:27
Speaker
You know, you you might just. You might just. So I don't know that's naive or brave or what the word is, but he's not giving up. Yeah. yeah Yeah. Well, and it, I mean, has well, I won't, I don't want to ruin anything in case you've forgotten, but I mean, it works out for him.
00:53:48
Speaker
Yeah. You know? Yeah. ah But yeah, it's funny because he's like, you know, I know I'm no Jon Bon Jovi. And she kind of makes a face. He's like, or whoever you find attractive. Right.
00:54:00
Speaker
and Which is so funny, you know, because don't know. And then what's wrong with her? Why doesn't she think that Jon Bon Jovi is attractive?
00:54:10
Speaker
Right. don't know. Yeah. it It was a great choice of names. Uh-huh. Yeah. a good Good old Pete. We go over to the boys' apartment. I don't know what what we call this game that Chandler's playing by himself with the two chairs. I just called it Draw.
00:54:27
Speaker
Because that's what he does. Did you
00:54:31
Speaker
I was like, well, that's what... I'll know what that means in my notes. yeah ah Joey comes in, again, like again a kind petulant teenager, just slamming stuff down on the foosball table.
00:54:43
Speaker
is He is not happy with Kate. No. um kind of rants and raves about her bit in this where Chandler says something like, you think somebody has a crush on somebody and Joey doesn't quite catch what he means initially.
00:55:00
Speaker
i want to talk about my problem. Right? But then it occurs to him that, well, he thinks that Chandler's crazy initially, but then Joey has been having some romantic thoughts about Kate. What does that mean?
00:55:15
Speaker
um And then I think he puts two and two together in that moment and maybe realizes that he does have some some strong feelings for our Kate here. Yeah.
00:55:30
Speaker
And that's kind of shown up in the theater. We go back over to the theater, Joey and Kate are acting and it's it's so good. There's some's some tension there. And even an old greasy gre the greasy director guy, you guys make me fly.
00:55:46
Speaker
hi i love that i love the pause and then hi um yeah he's such an odd guy he just reminds me a bit of eddie um just just kind of a wacky character um yeah um and joey Joey doesn't need to build up a lot of courage for these things but I don't know this feels a little different um and he asks Kate out but then finds out in that moment that she and the director are together yeah um and but I was going to ask you what's Chandler oh I'm sorry was going to move on to the next scene i was going to you what's Chandler reading he is reading Macworld
00:56:33
Speaker
Yeah. Yes. I did note that because, again, I thought that could have been a question. ah So put that down. I love this conversation. I choose to believe that this was something that happened in like the writer's room like organically where they're talking about Spiderman and Spiderman and all of that kind of stuff.
00:56:55
Speaker
um it's it's it's It's a legitimate kind like I get it. It's the kind of conversation you would have with a child certainly. The pronunciation of these things.
00:57:06
Speaker
Yes. But and now when I see the word Spider-Man, I do think Spider-Man, like that pops into my head. Well, let's see, Rachel comes in. She has had, she missed a chair or something at work. She sat down where she thought there was a chair and there wasn't.
00:57:23
Speaker
um and then i think monica tells her is that right that there's a boss a box dropped off for her and it's probably just shampoo but she opens it up and the tiny t-shirt yeah it's in the box ross has done the right thing and right good job ross boy yeah like you know even a broken clock is right twice a day and all right and this is this was his moment um you've got a house full of boys over there and i was wondering what the superhero situation is over there like ah do they have a favorite i don't really know the marvel versus dc thing whoa okay now for real
00:58:12
Speaker
I'm going to go ahead and tell you that the superhero obsession and situation started about 14 years
Personal Story: Superheroes and Impact
00:58:20
Speaker
ago. right Right? 14, 15 years ago. Fred will be 18 on Wednesday.
00:58:27
Speaker
And then I'll have raised a full grown adult. You'll have made it. Look at you go. Yes. But I've got pictures of bread with a captain america mask on pretending to drive my jeep and we would spend because like whenever he was a toddler know we didn't have a lot of money but we were like always like doing stuff you know and um one of the things that we do is i take the top off the jeep and then we just sit in the jeep and turn the music on and
00:59:03
Speaker
Fred and I would be out like fighting the bad guys and he would drive us. Now, obviously we never actually moved anywhere. Right. But man, there was jumping and hanging out and just all kinds of stuff.
00:59:19
Speaker
um And so, and then we've got the toy box that we like painted and put ah stickers from, ah Oh, I can't think of what they are, but they're they're weird, kind of squatty looking superheroes. I mean, it's all it's the Avengers, but they're short and they're squatty, and I can't think of what they're called. Like the Funkos, do you mean? but then no no, I can't think of what they're called.
00:59:49
Speaker
I'll it'll come back to you. The superhero squad. That's what it is. Superhero squad. And that's all Marvel. Okay. So then we went and whenever he was about seven, I guess he was obsessed with Spider-Man.
01:00:06
Speaker
Maybe he was a little bit younger than that. And then, you know, cause Spider-Man was kind of a free agent. Right. And then, Oh man, we went to Universal and there was a Spider-Man there and George was, or Fred was so excited. He took his shoes off because they were Spider-Man sandals and he was like showing it. And the guy that, that Spider-Man was like the best. He's like, oh man, that's me. And, and he was so cool to Fred.
01:00:37
Speaker
And I think on that same trip, we've got the pictures with Joseph and Fred and they're like standing like Captain America with Captain America. But anyway, then Fred like moved into DC.
01:00:51
Speaker
And then just recently, like within the last year, like George goes, like yeah, superheroes are cool, but he's not like obsessive. like Fred has always been obsessed.
01:01:03
Speaker
Right. And this last Halloween, he was...
01:01:10
Speaker
I don't know. It's DC. It's like Robin and Batman... But not normal Batman. It's different Batman. And he like 3D printed the stuff that went on his costume. And he got Addie to dress up like the girl.
01:01:29
Speaker
And it was awesome. love it. Yeah. Oh, and then he was obsessed just recently with, who's the blind?
01:01:41
Speaker
The blind one. You're asking the wrong person. Oh, no! Ow! Boo! The blind one in the movie, it's Elektra and... And then, oh, and he's he's blind, but he's really, really smart, and he's got, like, he wears the mask. um I don't know. it Elektra Natchios? Yeah.
01:02:08
Speaker
Does that sound right? Electra's the girl. Like in the movie, Jennifer Garner plays Electra and then um Ben Affleck plays the man.

And I can remember. Stick. Stick. Okay. ah that ah No, Electra was trained by a blind master named Stick, according to one website I've just looked up.
01:02:31
Speaker
Oh, okay. Yeah, I know. Daredevil. Daredevil. That's it? Fred was recently obsessed with Daredevil because I bought him like a whole, ah like a, he he likes graphic novels and stuff like that. But yes, superheroes are huge. And so George just recently started watching like the Marvel superheroes series. Like we started with Captain America, the first Avenger, and we're working our way through. And so George is at the prime age, like for nice superheroes to be super cool, like cool and him, you know, get into those movies and stuff.
01:03:10
Speaker
But Fred, man, his superhero obsession started very, very young. Very young. That's so cool. Superheroes in cars, man.
01:03:20
Speaker
Yeah, I love it. It's one of those things I'm not like, not it's not that I'm not into it, but I get it. like Yeah, because superheroes are cool. i could I could be a comic book nerd. I've never owned a comic book, I don't think, in my life, but i get it. like ah yeah I've got that gene in me that could really get into that stuff.
01:03:41
Speaker
um see you like now we we talk about canon events all the time like your life-changing thing that makes somebody like makes the superhero the superhero and so there's a lot of conversations and if you were gonna have a canon event yeah these these yeah superheroes super superheroes well but you know what we wouldn't you know what we would not ever be what would we be?
01:04:10
Speaker
No, we would not be a Goldman. It's not gold man. Although Phoebe thinks there should be a gold man. Yes. who What would Jimmy Tupperman? What would him say?
01:04:24
Speaker
I love that having this conversation and then they decide to end the end this episode with a playing the game, the draw game and Phoebe, what she go kind of okay, but what did they do? But did you get that they were playing her game first?
01:04:41
Speaker
Like they were taking turns like kids. Yes. Yes. Taking turns because she's giving, they're coming up with names and what their superpower would be and all of that. And then, okay, now we'll play your game.
01:04:53
Speaker
That's right. Yeah. let' like It's kind of sweet. and It is. Yeah. i would I love the way she's just, I don't know what she says, but you know, get over here, you yellow belly somethings draw. And then they just go for it. Yes.
01:05:10
Speaker
Yes. It's so funny. it's It's a lovely way to end this episode. um Yeah. Yeah. Chandler and Phoebe, a good combination. We don't get all that often. So.
01:05:21
Speaker
um Yeah, big, big fan of that. Well, let's see. We have come to the end of this review. but Let's think. wo What are we doing here? What can we measure? No, we'll do Gunther Central Park first.
01:05:33
Speaker
I found this tough. Who is your Gunther Central Park of the week this week? ah Okay, so I picked Pete. Good for you.
01:05:43
Speaker
i sure did. I sure did. I was like, way to be persistent and stick with it, buddy. And like, I know where his story going. And I'm like, yeah, I like him.
01:05:55
Speaker
ah like him a lot. And I feel like he kind of showed Like, I'm a cool dude. I'm a cool dude. He is. And I think there there could have been situations where a lesser man might have gotten upset or irritated or even just his feelings hurt.
01:06:12
Speaker
And he just doesn't. He just doesn't. He treats Monica with respect. He treats the situation with respect. He doesn't. you know i yeah A good guy. A good guy is Pete.
01:06:25
Speaker
I thought about Pete, but I ended up going with Rachel because liked the way that she handled the situation with Mark. I thought it showed a lot of growth, and that's one of the main storylines throughout the whole of Friends is the growth of Rachel.
01:06:41
Speaker
But I liked the way that she could have used this situation to get back at Ross, and she made a conscious choice not to. which to me was a very noble move.
01:06:55
Speaker
And again, she could have, you know, the whole argument about the t-shirt and the box. She stood up for herself, but she just didn't let it get out of control and just let him go.
01:07:06
Speaker
She wants to move forward. Right. Yeah. So good. Valid points. I love that. Yeah. Well, let's see. This week, we're going what can we rate that we could do? How many the t-shirts?
01:07:19
Speaker
yeah Yeah. How many Frankie Says Relax t-shirts would you give this episode? I would give it a good, solid seven.
01:07:30
Speaker
A good, solid seven. Seven crisp white Frankie Says Relax t-shirts on the washing line. I like it. i I got to say, I'm not i not a wild supporter of this. and like It's okay, but it doesn't really do a whole bunch for me.
Episode Conclusion and Preview
01:07:48
Speaker
I think it's going to end up at six and a half for me.
01:07:51
Speaker
It's a little low, I'm not going to lie. But, ge you know, it just was nothing really grabbed me too much. There's some funny scenes, don't get me wrong.
01:08:04
Speaker
But... Yeah, just just for me. Just me. All right. And to me, we've had some really strong ones recently, so maybe that's also. That's true. Yeah. That is true. So, yeah, coming in six and a half, that one for me. um But let's have a quick look here. We have next week the one with the dollhouse.
01:08:28
Speaker
And we're starting the last CD of this season. Yeah, because we've got maybe five, six left on this season, um which is crazy to think.
01:08:43
Speaker
Any final thoughts this week, Deanne?
01:08:48
Speaker
I don't like Kate. I mean, i love your Kate, but I don't like this Kate. No, this Kate, not a fan. And of course, we'll see her next week. Still not a huge fan.
01:09:01
Speaker
um Yeah. Yeah. No. My Kate's pretty awesome. We'll keep her around. Your Kate awesome. She is. Yeah, she is. But Kate Miller, we could do without.
01:09:11
Speaker
But yeah, that's the one with the dollhouse. Next week, we will be back. But as always, thank you to all of you for listening to the Purple Door podcast.
