Introduction and Gratitude

Welcome back to another episode of Unlocking with Adam Pike. For those of you who come back and listen to every single one, I appreciate you for spending the time out of your day to hear me rant about whatever I guess on my mind.
SSRIs and Emotional Numbness
00:00:15
Speaker
Now today I want to talk about SSRIs and microdosing.
00:00:20
Speaker
And like mental health in general, because the way that this world is right now, if you are somebody with anxiety or depression and you want to get rid of that, you go to the doctor and what do they prescribe you? SSRIs. And what I know about SSRIs is only what people have told me. And I've heard a lot about these pills as of recently.
00:00:44
Speaker
Now one person told me that they went on it for two weeks. Two weeks they were on SSRIs because they were having like really, really bad anxiety. They didn't want to get it bad. So we went to the doctor, they prescribed her to SSRIs. And in those two weeks, she felt like a zombie. The emotions that she used to have was gone. She wasn't crying. She, she's a very emotional person and her emotions just got suppressed.
00:01:13
Speaker
She never felt like crying. She wasn't really sad about anything. She wasn't really happy about anything. And it's like that she was just going through this world numb and not feeling anything.
Critique of SSRIs and Emotional Suppression
00:01:26
Speaker
She even said that she went for a walk one time and normally like, she's like pretty happy. Like she was just on this walk and she just never felt anything.
00:01:34
Speaker
And to me, that does not seem natural. That doesn't seem like a good way to live. So after two weeks, she stopped taking the pills because she's like, there's no way that I can, I can do this. I'm a very emotional person. I feel, I feel everything. Like I have a lot of feels. So like, imagine somebody that was on, like had been on these pills for years and just had their emotions suppressed for years. Like it probably changes.
00:02:03
Speaker
who you are as a person. And that doesn't seem good whatsoever. I was even talking to another friend and they actually told me that every time their boyfriend went down on them, she couldn't get off. She could not get off. And when she had sex, it's like she never even felt it as much as what she used to.
00:02:25
Speaker
That's insane. That is absolutely insane. Can you imagine going your whole life like that? Not being able to get off because you're on these freaking pills because maybe you have anxiety. And that is just the way that our world is right now. The doctors are just going to give you a pill. Here you go. Take it. And yeah.
00:02:46
Speaker
It probably will get rid of your anxiety. It probably will get rid of your depression, but like, is it really worth it? Do you really want to go the rest of your life not really feeling anything? Now I haven't taken these S's or I's don't have any personal experience from it. I'm only going by what I hear from other people and by the sounds of it, the side effects and everything that comes with it does not sound nice. And I would not want to be on it because I'm a very emotional person. I feel a lot of things.
00:03:15
Speaker
You know, I'm happy. I'm up and down. I cry sometimes and like, I wouldn't want that to be like locked away.
Exploring Microdosing as an Alternative
00:03:22
Speaker
It's almost like it's like you're putting handcuffs on your body and it's just like, no, you're not allowed to feel anything anymore. That doesn't sound like a really good way to live. Now I want to talk about microdosing because I know a lot of people that have been on SSRIs and hated it and ended up getting off of it.
00:03:43
Speaker
and switching over to micro dosing and having the same results, their anxiety is gone, their depression is gone, but they feel everything and they feel a lot more happier with their life.
00:03:57
Speaker
What I know about micro dosing is, you know, I used to have anxiety and sometimes I didn't want to get out of bed. Sometimes I didn't want to leave my house. And like all those bad thoughts that I would have in my mind and those feelings that I was feeling would just snowball and I would overthink and it would just, it would just bleed into the next day. And I never understood it. Now, when I started micro dosing, it quieted all that noise and chatter in my mind. Now,
00:04:22
Speaker
I would still have those bad thoughts in my head or still have those feelings, but now I would think about things differently because of the microsynth. If I can describe microsynth to you, it's just like
00:04:37
Speaker
It's just like a breath of fresh air. You just feel a little bit lighter. Your mood is a little bit higher. You're a little bit more happier. Your senses are heightened a little bit more. You see things differently. Like if you're going through a walk, if you're going through a walk outside with your dog, right? And maybe you're not microdosing. Maybe you're on SSRIs and you're just going for a walk. You're not really going to feel anything at all. You're going to feel very numb. Now, if you're not on anything, you're going to go through the walk. You're going to enjoy whatever. But when you're on a microdose,
00:05:06
Speaker
And you'll go through that walk. Like for me, I noticed things that I wouldn't normally notice. I looked at things differently. I appreciate that walk a lot more. That's what I like about microdosing. It's just, it just gives you a better appreciation of
Microdosing Benefits and Lifestyle Integration
00:05:21
Speaker
life. It makes you think about things differently. It makes you a lot more happier. Everything, everything is just better. Everything is just better now.
00:05:32
Speaker
The reason why I'm talking to you here today is because I've heard a lot of stories about these SSRIs and I just know that there is a better way. And microdosing to me is a better way. Now, that being said, we don't really need SSRIs. We don't really need microdosing.
00:05:51
Speaker
There's many things that we can do in our life. And if we apply these things every single day, then over time you are going to see changes in yourself. But most people nowadays are lazy and they don't want to do all those things. So they just go to the doctor and they just take a pill because that's easy. And this is the easy thing to do, right? But I guarantee you, if you started eating a little better, you started journaling every single day. You started meditating.
00:06:20
Speaker
Maybe you start cold plunging sauna you start getting in a good positive routine you start listening to better podcast you start reading books you start surrounding yourself with better people you start to get a new job that you now love if you start doing all of these things in your life
00:06:40
Speaker
Overtime not right away, but I guarantee you over time you are going to be better Your mindset is gonna be better. Your mental health is gonna be better. Your anxiety is gonna be less
00:06:52
Speaker
And that's just facts. Now, if you add microdosing on top of that, that's just going to change your whole mind. Like I have found that for me, that ever since I started microdosing, every single thing in my life has gotten better. Even the way that I'm talking, even the way that I present myself, even the way that I think my mental health has got better. Everything about my life has gotten better since I started microdosing. Now, is there any side effects to microdosing?
00:07:22
Speaker
No, I haven't heard one person ever tell me a bad thing about microcosm. Every single person that have tried microcybin, they always come back and they always
00:07:36
Speaker
come back because the product speaks for themselves, the products are good, the products are changing people's lives every single day. I know this for a fact because I talk to so many people every single day and then they'll try to microsiber and then months later down the road they'll send me a huge message about how it's changed their life, how much happier they are, how it's calmed their mind, how it's got rid of the noise, they don't overthink it anymore, they're more confident
00:08:01
Speaker
And this is just facts because this happened to me as well.
Advocacy for Microdosing
00:08:05
Speaker
So to me, if you are looking for something that is going to get rid of your anxiety or your depression or whatever you are going through, microdosing to me just seems like the more natural, healthy way of doing things instead of these SSRIs that most people are going on and they just listen to their doctor, then they have their,
00:08:29
Speaker
their feelings and emotions just suppressed. Like that doesn't sound like a good healthy way to live your life. So to me, micro dosing is just a more better way, more effective way to do things. So anyways, I hope you took something from this video.
00:08:49
Speaker
If you are somebody that you know is on SSRIs there is a better way and I know it's for a fact and I've talked to so many people that has got often their SSRIs and they're just fully micro dosing now and they just seem like happier, healthier people.
