Thank you for joining me as we learn about the connection between Passover, First Fruits, Shavuot (pronounced shav-oo-oat) and Pentecost. As part of understanding and observing the festivals that God has appointed for us to observe, we count the Omer (pronounced oh-mare) today and then have our daily Bible reading session!
Here is the link for a downloadable devotional if you would like to count the Omer for yourself. It has been put out by the Messianic Jewish Congregation Shoresh David in Florida: https://www.shoreshdavid.org/download/counting-the-omer-booklet/

Today's reading will cover Isaiah Chapters 3-5. Today we will read about the circumstances building up to God's coming judgment: God planted a vineyard and His vineyard is yielding bad fruit! In our discussion for daily application we will ask ourselves what kind of fruit WE are producing. Jesus taught us that a bad tree cannot yield good fruit, and conversely, a good tree cannot yield bad fruit. We are meant to be the light and salt of the world. Are we shining our lights for God so that others may see our good works and our Father in Heaven is being glorified by them? We will also talk about God's assurance that for those who are doing right, we don't need to worry about God's judgment being carried out on us. God repeatedly tells us that He treats those who look for Him and follow His commands are rewarded with good things while those who treat bad things as good and good things as bad will receive His judgment. God is looking for those who do good! Let us be found doing good when He returns.
