Thank you for joining me as we learn about the connection between  Passover, First Fruits, Shavuot (pronounced shav-oo-oat) and Pentecost.  As part of understanding and observing the festivals that God has appointed for us to observe, we count the Omer (pronounced oh-mare)  today and then have our daily Bible reading session!

Here is the link for a downloadable devotional if you would like to  count the Omer for yourself. It has been put out by the Messianic Jewish  Congregation Shoresh David in Florida: https://www.shoreshdavid.org/download/counting-the-omer-booklet/

Today we have a special guest: my best friend, Julie, will share the Treasury of Life boxes that God has directed her to design and make! Please note that this is NOT a paid promotion. You can find out more information about her boxes and purchase one from her directly by emailing her at: treasuryoflifeboxes@gmail.com or by purchasing one on my site here: https://www.inthefamilywaycoaching.com/pages/treasury-of-life-boxes

You can watch her full informational video about the boxes here: https://youtu.be/MBeE1WPwTn8?si=iqaIknYYchaJ2mpB

You can find her channel on YouTube here: @JulieatTreasuryofLifeBoxes

Today's reading will cover Isaiah Chapters 3-5. Today we will read about the circumstances building up to God's coming judgment: God planted a vineyard and His vineyard is yielding bad fruit! In our discussion for daily application we will ask ourselves what kind of fruit WE are producing. Jesus taught us that a bad tree cannot yield good fruit, and conversely, a good tree cannot yield bad fruit. We are meant to be the light and salt of the world. Are we shining our lights for God so that others may see our good works and our Father in Heaven is being glorified by them? We will also talk about God's assurance that for those who are doing right, we don't need to worry about God's judgment being carried out on us. God repeatedly tells us that He treats those who look for Him and follow His commands are rewarded with good things while those who treat bad things as good and good things as bad will receive His judgment. God is looking for those who do good! Let us be found doing good when He returns.

If you enjoyed today's reading and feel like God has lit YOUR light  today, please click the LIGHT button (it looks like a HEART or LIKE  button) and consider subscribing to or following my channel, if you have  not done so  already.

If you know someone who might be interested in reading the Bible with me  this year please SHARE today's reading with them! It's never too late  to join in! Let's help this event grow and together we can spread the  word about reading God's Word!

Introduction to Counting the Omer and Legacy of Life

00:00:02
Speaker
Hello everybody today is Sunday it is May 25th 2025 you are here with Robin and Julie and we're at in the family way coaching today we are here for our daily counting of the Omer as well as our daily Bible reading as we go through the day by day kids Bible written by Karen Henley.
00:00:25
Speaker
We are so glad that you are joining us today. You may have heard me mention Julie on our videos because Julie has kids and she and the kids watch the videos with me almost every single day, but they catch every episode even if they're not able to watch every day.
00:00:40
Speaker
And so this is a perfect example of you don't need to be here every day. Just we were talking about that the other day about just catching up and just hearing the big story. When we have time, God is graceful. So there's no reason why we can't just make that time to hear the story when we have the time.

Creating and Personalizing Legacy of Life Boxes

00:00:58
Speaker
And so when you have the time, if you are following along on that commitment calendar, it's time to get that out or your sticker, however you are ah marking that off.
00:01:10
Speaker
Because guess what? You're about to hear the Bible today.
00:01:15
Speaker
We are going to have our daily counting of the Omer and then we have a special guest here with Julie being here. She is going to introduce us to her legacy of life box.
00:01:26
Speaker
I spoken about this a couple of months ago when we were doing the Ark of the Covenant and we were reading about that with the Israelites traveling through the desert. And I told you that we had something very special coming and it's taken some time to get it just right.
00:01:43
Speaker
But we are going to talk about that here in just a couple of minutes. In the meantime, we are going to have our daily counting of the Omer. So if you would like to follow along with us, then just simply repeat after me.
00:01:58
Speaker
Julie, do you want to count the Omer with me today? i would be happy to. Would you like to do the blessing today for the counting of the Omer? Jedi was wondering if you could join us.
00:02:08
Speaker
Jedi would, okay, let's do this.
00:02:13
Speaker
Look at that in just a split second. We also have Jedi joining us today. Jedi, do you want to lead the blessing today or would you like to just repeat after me? I like to repeat.
00:02:24
Speaker
Okay. And we've got Julie here. And so I will start with our blessing as we count the Omer. And then you guys can simply repeat after me.

Using the Legacy of Life Box Daily

00:02:34
Speaker
Blessed are you, bless it are you o lord our god o lord our God, ruler of the the who has set us apart that that and apart with york apart oh sorry apart by your commandments your commandments and has commanded us
00:02:55
Speaker
and housemaned us to count the omer to count the young mar Today is the seventh day today is and seventh day of the sixth week of the six week and day 42.
00:03:11
Speaker
I have counted the Omer. Awesome. Thank you for counting with me today. i am so excited. so we have Julie as a special guest today because we she has created a beautiful box.
00:03:26
Speaker
I'm actually going to show you my box just a moment.
00:03:33
Speaker
So this actually my legacy of and my treasury of life box. We used to call them an archive. So I have that in my mind. So this is one that Julie made for me and it is awesome.
00:03:48
Speaker
And it looks like just a regular recipe box, but it is full of these giant three by five type cards where, oh, I even have a special note.
00:04:00
Speaker
that This includes a note from Jedi that came with my box. And i have prayers that I have amazing events that when something amazing happens, like with my necklace being found and returned to me by God, that's here in my box.
00:04:16
Speaker
This is a legacy. And now Julie has been led by God to create these boxes like the Ark of the Covenant. And so she is making these boxes and they are available for you to purchase.
00:04:32
Speaker
So we don't do any promotional for, you know, just normal stuff. This is a biblical and biblically inspired box so that you can mark down and record blessings by God and special things that have happened.
00:04:49
Speaker
And this is a tool that Julie has been using for over 20 years. And each one of her kids has their own box too. So Julie, can you show us your box that you have designed now?
00:05:00
Speaker
Sure, I'd be happy to. This one is actually for a friend of mine and I'm goingnna send it to her and I just got a little creative and put some paint around there and put some bunnies in there. But the important part is the treasure inside.
00:05:16
Speaker
Look at that. even You've even painted the inside. It says light bringer. What what does that mean? So my friend, Fana, is a light bringer wherever she goes. She shows the love of Christ.
00:05:30
Speaker
And so that was a a name that God gave her. and I wanted to just add that as a ah special touch so that she could be reminded of that daily when she opens her treasury.
00:05:42
Speaker
um, and So each day there's the days of the week and then if its today's Sunday, so I'd open up my Sunday file and pull out my prayers that I've been praying about and also the verses that I've been memorizing and then I'd go through them and um just spend some time with the Lord seeking him.

Stories of Blessings and God's Provision

00:06:05
Speaker
And then as so he answers me, i turn the card over and for example, um
00:06:16
Speaker
Well, it's really fun. One that happened recently, okay i put the date on it. and um And then when it's answered, I write the date again. And then I file it in the Answered tab.
00:06:31
Speaker
But this one was something I didn't even pray about. I didn't even know God was gonna do. and that often happens. This was on a Friday when we were having a food distribution and um the food bank actually made a second delivery and to our distribution without us even asking or knowing that that was gonna happen.
00:06:52
Speaker
And we were surprised. But it was um an answer to prayer, more than an answer prayer. It was a miracle. Because actually that day, more people showed up at our food distribution than ever before.
00:07:05
Speaker
So do he knew. And I wanted to remember that. So that he was faithful and and how he ordered that so that we could provide for lots of families to have food.
00:07:18
Speaker
God provided for the people that he knew he was sending to your food bank for your food distribution before they even came. yeah So God knew who he was sending. That's multiplying the fish and the bread. And he did so with ahead of time. hmm.
00:07:36
Speaker
And how fun that my kids get to to hear these things and see them and experience them. And it really builds on our faith, especially after years and years of doing it.
00:07:49
Speaker
Another example was back in 2013 when we were shopping, the kids and i and ran into a friend who was at the store same store.
00:08:00
Speaker
and we were buying shoes, and she had actually had a pair of shoes in her hands that she was buying for one of my children. And not only did she buy that pair, she bought another pair for one of my other children and i decided to purchase everything for us in our cart.
00:08:18
Speaker
And had I not written this down, probably would have forgotten that that many years ago. And so looking back at it just reminds me of God's faithfulness, his provision, his people, his power.
00:08:34
Speaker
The way he just works everything together for good. I love that because i don't know about you, but I don't remember every single thing of every single day. Do you? You know what If I don't write it down that day.
00:08:46
Speaker
The next day I'm like, what was that? I know there was something amazing. And I, and anyway, so yeah, not only that, besides writing down my prayers and writing down the verses that I want to memorize, um sometimes I just record the cute things that my kids say do.
00:09:04
Speaker
And this was one day um a year ago and one of our piglets had, had died. And it was one that we were bottle feeding And I thought it was dead.
00:09:16
Speaker
And I told everybody the baby piglet had died. But later that day, when we were having lunch, my daughter came in and with the dead piglet and said, and I said, that pig's dead. was like dangling there.
00:09:32
Speaker
Oh, no. And she said, it's not dead. It's almost alive. Yeah. And it was such a cute thing. was that piglet alive? It really was. did it Did it come back and grow up?
00:09:45
Speaker
No, I can't say that. ah But at that moment. But at that moment, it was still alive. Yes. and What a great way of looking at it, though. That piglet was not dead. It was almost alive. but So cute things that they say. i want to remember um events and and just practicing our verses over and over, writing them down.
00:10:06
Speaker
and and rehearsing them until we get it

Legacy for Future Generations and Ordering Information

00:10:09
Speaker
memorized. And then we put it in the memorized file. And then even then we come back to them once in a while and we view them. So it's just a creative different way instead of having a long list of prayers that are overwhelming. And it's like, I don't even know where to start.
00:10:23
Speaker
And then just throwing that away when it's old. This keeps a record. It's like an archive. It's like an arc, like the Israelites carried through the wilderness to remember the Lord and his presence and his provision and his power.
00:10:40
Speaker
It's like an art. It's a treasury. It's a gift to pass on to your kids. And then hopefully they catch it and they pass it on to their children and for generations to come. It's just like a treasure chest. It's valuable.
00:10:52
Speaker
It's priceless. I love that. you know we've been talking a lot about remembering the things that God does for us. And it's just, it's impossible to remember everything, but we know,
00:11:05
Speaker
I know one of the things that just really stood out on my heart was that we are eventually going to be taken in a rapture and we won't be here to personally share our testimonies with God. Good point.
00:11:19
Speaker
And when we leave behind these boxes, these treasuries of life here that somebody, God is going to send people to find them.
00:11:29
Speaker
here And that we know from our readings recently that it was never too late to come to God. So one of the reasons why I'm putting these videos out is that I want people to be able to see these videos and hear the word of God at a time when it may be very difficult to hear the word of God.
00:11:47
Speaker
I believe in pre-rapture. yeah Rapture will happen and then God's judgment will happen. I know there's different views as to how people believe in that, but I want to be obedient in the way that I feel that God has led me to be obedient.
00:12:00
Speaker
And I feel that this is an excellent record, a way to leave a record for those who have been left behind, you that they will have this. Because if your whole family goes, they're not going to have you to witness to them. Yeah, you might want to tell your friends, if I ever go missing,
00:12:18
Speaker
Check this out. Check my box. It has a lot of important stuff. so ah So Julie has these boxes. And I'm going to have a link in our description below today where you can watch another video on her describing these events and her box.
00:12:35
Speaker
And you can actually email her if you are interested in purchasing one of these boxes. And they are $50 a box, which is an excellent deal because these are handcrafted.
00:12:46
Speaker
There is a man who actually cuts these out of wood. And then, look, they have a ah beautiful hinge on the back. This is not just a box. This has a hinge on the back. There's a pen holder.
00:12:58
Speaker
It includes a pen with a verse on it. This one happens to say, the Lord is near to all who call on him. Psalm 145, verse 18. This includes... this includes the burning in of the treasury of of life on the top of it.
00:13:16
Speaker
If you want your name custom made on here, it will include that. She is including the cards that go in there, a stack of three by five cards, tabs that go in there. She has you all set up for success so that you can have your own treasury of life box.
00:13:33
Speaker
She's also including a canvas that is blank so that you can make your own canvas and on hers, Jesus is the foundation of this house. So you will get to have the opportunity to follow her email link in the description below, which treasuryoflifeboxes at gmail.com.
00:13:55
Speaker
And as you know, I don't do any you know promotions of of different products. I don't do any YouTube incentivizations. This is something that I feel is an obedience to God.
00:14:06
Speaker
This is an excellent way to mark down in your family. It's a great gift you. for people just starting out in their family marriage. It's a great gift when people have new children to start writing these things down. It's a great gift for any time to just really start keeping track.
00:14:24
Speaker
I love my box and I keep it. as and and with with all of my giant i'm so glad that my box has giant cards in it because i need giant cards one of the the very first item that i wrote in my box was about Maria. And I actually, my and I marked it my first archive entry, February 4th, 2025.
00:14:52
Speaker
And I spoke about this on my event. And so ah Maria, who is one of my coworkers and also one of my listeners here on Spotify. Hey, Maria.
00:15:02
Speaker
well Thank you. yeah You're in my art box. You are my first... entry in my art box where I asked God sent Maria to be my packer one day at work and I told her about my podcasting event to read the day-by-day kids bible and she said oh she uses a bible app to read the bible every day and asked me where my podcast was and she had Spotify on her phone and so she asked me to help her find myself on Spotify and we couldn't find me And it turned out that my feed, my RSS feed, was not enabled.
00:15:35
Speaker
I'd been posting to Spotify. Now this is February 4th. I had already been posting to Spotify for over a month, every single day. And I was like, oh, it's okay. Nobody's listening yet. Oh, it's okay.
00:15:48
Speaker
It wasn't even turned on. Nobody could find it. oops So if God had not have sent Maria to say, hey, show me where you are on Spotify, I would never have known that I wasn't on.
00:16:01
Speaker
So I got it turned on. And then she graciously let me see her phone so we could find me on Spotify. And then she listened to my podcast and Maria became my very first Spotify follower.
00:16:14
Speaker
Shout out for you, Maria. Thank you. So God sent Maria to help me get my Spotify turned on because this is his event. This is not my event. And so I don't normally take time to talk about other things other than what's going on. But this is very important.
00:16:30
Speaker
And so we're going to have our the Bible reading here in just a few minutes. But I wanted to introduce everybody to the Treasury of Life box. And you'll be able to find the link for that to her ah YouTube video down below in the description.

Transition to Bible Reading and Isaiah's Prophecies

00:16:46
Speaker
So thank you for joining me for our Bible reading today. yeah I know you've got to probably head out. So you maybe don't need to be involved in the whole recording, but you can watch it later on. will.
00:16:57
Speaker
ah Thank you. And thank you, Jedi, for being here with me today. You are also a faithful listener. You've been listening to the Bible. Do you use your commitment me calendar? true you have ah Do you put your stickers on there, too?
00:17:10
Speaker
How do you like that? It's pretty good. I'm glad you like It's helpful. Well, all right. I'm going pause this, and then when I unpause it, they will be magically gone. And then we will start our Bible reading for the day.
00:17:23
Speaker
Thank you so much for listening today.
00:17:30
Speaker
That was a real treat today. Thank you for listening today as we spoke about Julie's Treasury of Life boxes.
00:17:40
Speaker
We are going to be getting into Isaiah chapters three, four and five today in our reading. And as we have been seeing, this is building up.
00:17:54
Speaker
We are hearing the prophets speaking about God's judgment time. Sometimes they are speaking about the end of time, end of day's judgment. And a lot of them are speaking about the judgment of the Assyrians come and coming to take,
00:18:12
Speaker
Israel away from their country. And we will also see that in today's reading, God is going to be speaking about Judah's kingdom also being taken by the Babylonians.
00:18:29
Speaker
That's going to be spoken of too. So he's giving a lot of warning to the people that this is what is going to be coming. But all through this, God is looking for those who are searching to do right.
00:18:45
Speaker
And that was our big takeaway, is that we were looking to see about making sure that we are doing our work before God returns again yesterday. And we see that God is always looking for people who are doing right because he is not wanting anyone to perish in this judgment.
00:19:04
Speaker
He wants the children of Israel and of Judah, his children, to repent and to come to him. And we're going to be hearing more of that today. This is a big buildup that God is using over ah quite a bit of time in order to give people time to correct their ways.
00:19:26
Speaker
This first section for Isaiah chapters three and four is entitled, Don't Make Me the Leader.
00:19:34
Speaker
See God now, he has all power. He will take all food and water away from Judah and Jerusalem. He will take away their leaders and army captains.
00:19:48
Speaker
He will take away their guides, workers and speakers. Boys will become their leaders and children will rule over them. People will be hard on each other.
00:20:02
Speaker
Somebody will go find his brother and he will say, you have a coat, so you be our leader. Rule over this broken down city. But his brother will say, i don't know what to do.
00:20:16
Speaker
i don't have food or clothes in my house. Don't make me the leader.
00:20:22
Speaker
Jerusalem bends and Judah falls. What they do and say is against God. They show their sins as if they were in a parade.
00:20:34
Speaker
They don't even try to hide it. They are asking for trouble. But tell people who do right that things will go well for them.
00:20:46
Speaker
They will enjoy the good things that come to them. These good things will come because of what they've done.
00:20:55
Speaker
God says, the women of Jerusalem are proud. They walk along holding their heads high. The way they look at people says they want to sin.
00:21:07
Speaker
So God will make sores come on their heads. He will make them lose all their hair.
00:21:15
Speaker
On that day, God will take away all their fine clothes. He will take away band headbands and beautiful neck bands. He will take away earrings, armbands and belts.
00:21:29
Speaker
He will take away sweet smelling perfume, finger rings and nose rings. He will take away pretty robes and coats. There will be a stink instead of sweet smells.
00:21:43
Speaker
And there will be ropes instead of belts. There will be no hair. instead of beautiful hair. And there will be clothes made of old sackcloth.
00:21:55
Speaker
Everyone will sit on the ground and cry. The men will die in the fighting. On that day, God will show his beauty and greatness.
00:22:08
Speaker
People who are left will be proud of their land and their hearts will be clean and right. God will wash away their sin. He will make his people clean.
00:22:22
Speaker
Then God will make a cloud over Zion mountain, and it will be a cloud of smoke in the daytime. It will be a bright fire at night. It will keep people safe from the hot day, and it will be a safe place in storms and rain.
00:22:43
Speaker
Isaiah chapter 5. God's Grapefield. The one I love had a grape field. It was on a hill. He dug the ground and took rocks out.
00:22:56
Speaker
He planted vines in it. He built a tower where he could watch over it. He cut a tub out of rock. Then he waited for good grapes to grow.
00:23:09
Speaker
It was a tub to make wine in. But the fields only grew bad grapes. Now you people in Judah, think about me and my grape fields.
00:23:22
Speaker
What could I have done? I looked for good grapes. Why did my field grow bad grapes? I will tell you what I'll do to my grape field.
00:23:34
Speaker
I'll tear down its walls. I'll make it a weed field. The people of Israel are God's grape field. The people of Judah are the garden he loves.
00:23:48
Speaker
God looked for people who were fair, but all he found was killing. God looked for people who did right, but all he heard were troubled cries.
00:24:02
Speaker
There's bad news for people who get up early to drink. They stay up late all night getting drunk. They play music at their parties, but they don't pay attention to God.
00:24:15
Speaker
There's bad news for people who call bad things good. there's bad and There's bad news for people who call good things bad. They think dark is light and light is dark.
00:24:28
Speaker
They think sour is sweet and sweet is sour. So God holds up a flag and he calls people who are far away. They come fast.
00:24:39
Speaker
They don't get tired. They don't trip and fall. They have sharp arrows. Their chariot wheels are like a fast turning wind. They roar like lions and they catch what they're hunting.

Discussion on Spiritual Fruit and Living as God's Light

00:24:55
Speaker
They take it away and no one can stop them.
00:25:03
Speaker
That is the end of our reading today.
00:25:08
Speaker
So as we spoke about before our reading started, this is building up to the climax where God eventually does take Israel and have them taken captive by the Assyrians.
00:25:19
Speaker
But what we're seeing here now is that Judah is also going to be included in a judgment. And that's because his people, the grapes of his field, are not bearing good fruit.
00:25:32
Speaker
We know that Jesus taught that a good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and similarly, a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. And in these grapevines, God's people are not bearing good fruit.
00:25:46
Speaker
God was so sad. He said, I planted the field, dug out the rocks, I planted a wine press for it. i was all ready for good grapes to make wine, but my grapes are bad.
00:26:01
Speaker
What else could he have done, he says?
00:26:06
Speaker
So the judgment will come to the people because they have failed to produce good fruit. What about the fruit we are producing? Are we producing good fruit?
00:26:18
Speaker
Are we making sure to make God the most important one? Are we listening to God and obeying his rules and doing things the way he wants us to do them? Because if we do, God says today to tell people who do right that things will go well.
00:26:35
Speaker
They will enjoy the good things that come to them. And these good things will come because of what they have done.
00:26:46
Speaker
And the people who are left will be proud of their land. Their hearts will be clean and right. And God will wash away their sin and he will make his people clean.
00:26:59
Speaker
We have a lot of reassurance from God over and over that he treats his people differently from those who are not following him and from those who are not his people. So he's told us in the past that it will rain on one field and not rain on another.
00:27:15
Speaker
One field will dry up while another one grows. And so God will treat us differently than those that he is bringing judgment to. That is so reassuring.
00:27:26
Speaker
God is so fair. He is teaching us that he wants us to be fair. And at the same time, he is teaching us by his example that he too is fair to not bring harsh judgment on those who follow him.
00:27:41
Speaker
For those who look to God and make God the most important ones, God is fair and kind and generous and loving, and he will not bring punishment on those who are doing his will.
00:27:57
Speaker
But woe to those, it says, who are who think that, woe, there's bad news for people who call bad things good. We sure have a lot of that going on in our society today, don't we?
00:28:11
Speaker
We're changing rules to say that things that God says is are bad are now good and are fine and are acceptable. And just because people are changing the rules doesn't mean that God is changing his rules.
00:28:24
Speaker
It says there's bad news for people who call good things bad. They think dark is light and light is dark.
00:28:35
Speaker
And so judgment will come on those people who are not doing what is right by God's standards. And we know that those of us who are following in God's rules and walking in his light, we will not be held to the same judgment that those people are.
