Yeah, i didn't see getting essentially walloped 5-2 being on the cards on this weekend, but that was it. So my most people probably would have put City winning, but probably not by that much because Palace have been on a tear this last few months of being one of the in-form teams.

And the only other time that we've been beaten quite so emphatically was playing Arsenal. just before Christmas, where they conceded not, I think it was nine in two games, as we had to play them in the League Cup and then in the league almost immediately afterwards.

I think was it it was in three or four days, definitely within a week. But really, to go over kind of what happened, vaguely summarising it, we go ahead early with an Eze goal in about the eighth minute.

And then there's, unlike most Man City goals, well, ones I've ever watched anyway, a complete route one goal from from the keeper that just bypasses the entire squad, hits out onto the on the Palace's left less wing, something like that.

They're right and just completely unmarked, unchallenged, and just... Yet again, another sort of mental mistake. You look at it back on the highlights. It looks like it's offside.

I had to watch it two or three times to make sure it wasn't offside and we weren't being sort of bamboozled here, but I think it's Munoz and it's Richards. I think on the other side of the pitch, they keep him on.

And then 10 minutes from 10 minutes from time, we can see another really simple goal. And it was just, just watching them kind of reminded me of what our defending was like at the beginning of the season, just at the beginning.

But then we weren't being punished for it. Because if you go back and look at something like the Liverpool game or even the Man United game from the beginning of the season, as we said in this podcast, we could have conceded four or five in the first 20 minutes.

And this was very much the same way, but this was over the course of the entire game or from the half hour mark all the up to the 80th where we just made some very rudimentary mistakes that at this level you're going to be punished for. I know it's a cliche, but it's true.

And it was just nothing like the team that this podcast has been praising that played after the Fulham game, which was, in my opinion, one of the most sort of perfect game of football I've ever seen Palace play. It was so just absolutely perfect. You couldn't expect them to do any better.

But that's the result. We're just going to have to live with it. And hopefully it doesn't become a snowball effect for the next few weeks because we do have several other top teams that could definitely punish us.

Two weird transfer links which yet again another weird one for Palace. So according to The Sun so you can take that with a degree of skepticism because this is The Sun they like to make up transfers here and there some of them nearly all of them are well they're making it up because they've got very little to do on very very tenuous evidence so apparently Paris are keeping an eye in quotation marks on the Rashford situation as it's not it's fairly common knowledge that he is not in Man United's good books in the moment he has performed below standards and if he coming in I don't know either a bit of a distraction

etc just not really pulling his weight so as he's now been moved uh loaned out to villa and has been doing surprisingly well actually i think it's uh four goals in 13 something like that i'm not you definitely have to check that one up on me as well so he's been doing all right nobody's not setting the world on fire as he used to but he's still a relatively top player in the premier league the One of the sticking points, I think, for me at the moment is the fact that he is on a $300,000 a week salary, which is insane. That's probably twice what everybody else is on. I don't even Gahey's even on that at Palace.
