00:00:00
Speaker
So glutathione is the primary antioxidant inside our body's cells. It has many, many critical jobs. Without it really, we could not be alive.

Functions of Glutathione in the Body

00:00:10
Speaker
Some of the jobs it does is it binds toxic metals and chemicals so that they can be excreted.
00:00:16
Speaker
It supports the immune system and the nervous systems. It supports the gastrointestinal tract and the lungs. It helps to recycle other antioxidants such as vitamin C and E. It supports DNA repair and synthesis and it indirectly supports protein synthesis

Speaker
And of course, we will discuss strategies on, first of all, how to reduce the factors that deplete glutathione in your child's body, and then what are the nutrients that you will be able to use to support glutathione production in your child's body. We'll discuss that in later modules.
