Meditation - How to tap into Feminine Energy (15 min)

This special episode is a quick guided "body scan" meditation from Eleanor. Specifically for Type A girls to tap into their *feminine* energy - it’s short, productive and easy. Beginner level.  

We’ll do 1) guided breathing, 2) an intentional body scan, and 3) a visualization exercise to become our divine feminine. <3

Introduction to Feminine Energy Meditation

Hi everyone, this is going to be a special episode of Pretty Invested. It's going to be a short guided medication focused primarily on tapping into your feminine energy. This is an episode specifically tailored for girls who are maybe a little bit more like me. We're a little bit go-go-go, high powered, maybe a little bit more in your masculine.

And so this is what I would want in a meditation. So it'll be productive, quick, and effective. With that being said, let's go ahead and get started.

Setting Up Your Meditative Space

So ideally find a quiet space, maybe your bedroom, or no one will really disrupt you, a place that you feel at peace. And then get into your meditative state to sit

up with my legs crisscross and then today's exercise will be specifically a body scan so I want us to be very thoughtful about getting into the right seat so lengthen your spine all the way to the top and then relax your shoulders a little bit and gently place your hands on your knees and then with your chin parallel to the ground

your head up high but not too high. Take a deep breath in and out and you can audibly sigh and if you haven't already you can gently close your eyes and let's begin by starting to slow our pace of breath.

Deep Breathing and Safety Signals

You can start by doing

deep breaths. So I will do this with you. Take a very deep breath in, all the way up to the point where you can feel it at the very top of your head. And just hold for a little bit and sigh it out. Relaxing the shoulders. And then we'll do another one

Breathing all the way in, feel all the air. As much as us fulfilling up your lungs, holding for a second at the top, and breathing out. And the next one on your own. Breathing in, and whenever you're ready, breathing out.

Now that we are in a steady state, we have found the pace that we're most comfortable in, breathing in and out. And slowing our breath scientifically enables us and signals to our brain and our body that we are safe.

Body Scan: From Feet to Hips

And with that, we will begin a traditional body scan

but this one with the hope to focus in on our feminine energy. So we're gonna place specific focus on some areas. And as we have our meditative seat, let's bring our attention to our feet or even our little toes and see which parts of your body are touching the ground beneath you.

Feel the ways in which you are connected to the earth. Even if you are 10 stories high, 20 stories high, what may be from the ground, you're all connected. And feel where your body is connected, whether a bed, a seat, the ground, and feel it all the way down to the earth. Because somehow we are all connected.

And as you feel your feet, slowly move up to your ankles. Bring some attention to your ankles, you know, we never really think about that, but they help support us, you know, when we walk through the day. And move slowly up to our thighs, and then our knees. And then move up, slowly through the legs, and then bring some attention to your hips.

Are they tight? What you can do is slowly begin to sway your hips. Maybe think about doing it in a circle or in an infinity. Whatever feels most comfortable to you but loosen that area. You know, feel the sensuality in that space.

Womb Energy and Feminine Power

And then once you feel relaxed in

Your hips are going to move slowly up into your stomach. Go towards the center of your stomach a few inches above your waist and you should be at your womb area. And that's a specific part of our body that I want you to focus on, you know? That's the origin of life. And I want you to think

and visualize your room as if it's radiating energy. And then have that be not just the place that you bring attention to, but when you want to tap into your energy, let that be the source of your energy, warmth and strength, all from your center of the room. And you can go ahead and actually place your hands on where your room is

and breathe into it and out. Feel the strength from that area. And then what I like to do sometimes, I visualize my moon radiating, you know, pinkish, purplish glow. Yours can be whatever color. But then just imagine the energy and power source coming from that. And there is this book called Powerful and Feminine

and there's exercise that you can do that she mentions where if you just focus on your womb area and let that be your guide you'll naturally just be able to tap more into your feminine because honestly our womb is a sacred place and we're more vulnerable and having energy radiate from there we are naturally more within our feminine

And the book had some good points about, you know, we tend to think of being feminine, maybe as, you know, gentle or misconceptions as weak. But in fact, it is so powerful. And being able to harness and embrace that actually allows us to be more natural within us. And now I encourage you, you know,

With that focus in your womb area, you can feel free to move your hips again with your power source being from your womb. Just move as it feels natural to you coming from that womb space. Breathing in and out again.

That can be a quick exercise, you know, even if you're at your desk or just, you know, about to go on a date or, you know, whatever it may be. If you want to tap into feminine, you can just bring attention to your room space and allow that to be your guide. And naturally when our attention and our source of energy comes from there, we feel more fluid and feminine.

Heart Energy and Positivity

And in the same way, it can empower us to be more powerful. So that, you know, can just be a quick 15 second exercise where you just bring attention there. And I like it because it's kind of like a quick half for me to tap into it whenever I want, like a superpower. Take one final deep breath.

and move on. So continuing to move upward through the chest, above the ribcage, bring attention to your heart and your chest. I want you guys to open up your chest a little bit, bringing the shoulders slightly back, but not too stretched. Breathing in and out of the chest. Breathe in, feel it inflate,

and you breathe out, your chest collapse. And then as your chest is open and you're open hearted, bring attention specifically to where your heart is. And if you'd like, you can place one hand on the heart. You can feel the heartbeat. It should be at a slow pace because we are safe.

And another visualization to tap into from energy is to radiate energy from your heart. I like to imagine like a beacon of light. Something that I think about is the people that I've met, usually women who just radiate light and energy and positivity, it's as if

there is a halo or just a beam of light, like a lighthouse. Even though you can't see it, you can feel the vibrations, the pause through the warmth, and people are just drawn to them. And anyone has the capacity to tap into that. And one of the ways that is quite easy to do so

is you to just focus in on your heart energy and you know if you're about to enter a room focusing on your heart relax your shoulders open up your chest and enter almost a room chest first as if you yourself are a lighthouse feeling

light and lighting up you know any darkness and you'll just find that before a little bit more naturally drawn to you and so anytime that

I want to feel more warm, kind, and nurturing, and just like some of people radiate towards. I think about as if I have this imaginary light beaming out of me, and every single time I do this, I find that people are more attracted to me if, you know, you go into a networking event, just test it out and see the way that you don't even know if you're doing anything differently

but the way you feel helps alter the way that you move. I think of like a Marilyn Monroe. There's a story where Marilyn is walking down the street with someone and she asks, do you want to see me become her? And previously, walking down the streets of New York, no one noticed her, but then she turns it on and everyone turns and says, oh my gosh, is that?

Marilyn Monroe. And so it's all about your confidence, the energy that you exude in ways that are so subtle.

And beyond just being a hack, it's so lovely to navigate the world where you are open-hearted and kind and warm and radiate that it's not something that is

finite resource but instead it's something that builds into people who have this energy. It just grows exponentially and so I hope you guys will use that exercise whenever you want to tap into that feminine part of yourself and become this magnetic force. And then moving on, let's go up to the next

elongating the neck into the face, feeling our cheeks, relaxing them, relaxing our mouths, our lips, and even our teeth. And just feeling into it, moving up to the eyes, up to the top of the head, the tippy tippy top, into even feeling your hair,

And take a deep breath in. And out, releasing. We've moved from the very bottom to the top of our body scan. We can begin to pickle your fingers and your toes. Then whenever you're ready, open your eyes.
