Welcome Back and Upcoming Bali Trip

00:00:37
Victoria R
Hello everybody, welcome back to the Mindful Educator podcast. So it's actually been a couple of weeks since I've um jumped on and recorded an episode.
00:00:48
Victoria R
So we've had school holidays and before that I unfortunately ended up with influenza A that was going around. I think there's been quite a few people coming down with both strains of the flu. So yeah, If that is you, please take care of yourself. I know what it's like being there, done that.
00:01:05
Victoria R
Hopefully we're done for the next few years anyway. ah So yeah, I'm really excited to be back on the microphone and chatting to you guys. So you may hear a bit of rain. It is pouring with rain um here at the moment. We've had two days pretty much straight of rain. It's been beautiful though.
00:01:22
Victoria R
um But in saying that, I will probably be bringing this episode to you from Bali next week. ah By the time it goes live, ah we're heading out over there for or just under a week.
00:01:36
Victoria R
ah Very last minute trip. But I'm very excited to enjoy some hot weather for a little bit, have a bit of a break. um And hopefully, yeah, get rid of the the lingering germs that have been hanging around since the flu. So we'll see how we go.

Understanding Coaching vs Therapy

00:01:51
Victoria R
ah but I am really excited about today's episode because I'm talking to you all about coaches and the coaching industry. I wanted to let you guys know kind of what it what it's all about.
00:02:05
Victoria R
what to look out for when you you are looking for a coach um and pretty much what a coach should and shouldn't be doing and anything else that kind of comes to my mind as we go through it. Because what I've realized is if you're in the coaching industry, a lot of what is said makes sense because you're used to hearing it. But if you're not in that industry, if you're not familiar with it, it's a lot. It's a lot to understand. It's a lot to know kind of how to navigate.
00:02:31
Victoria R
And so i just wanted to be able to help you guys with that a little bit in case it is something that you're looking at doing or you're just new and, you know, trying to find your way. So I do have my notes in front of me, which I'll refer to because knowing my brain, I could end up anywhere otherwise.
00:02:48
Victoria R
So this will hopefully keep me a little bit on track. So I firstly wanted to just go through and explain what a coach is. I have mentioned it a few times. It is something that I have trained to do um and have been doing. So essentially a coach is a trained support person and they help you bridge the gap from where you currently are to where you want to be.
00:03:09
Victoria R
right So that is the idea of what a coach will do. So they can go by lots of different names. People might call themselves a life coach or a wellness coach or a mindset coach or all sorts of things. It's all kind of under the same banner.
00:03:23
Victoria R
So what the role of the coach is instead of just giving you um all this info and advice on how to fix problems, they're more walking alongside you.
00:03:35
Victoria R
ah Okay. So it's someone that walks along alongside you to kind of support you, to encourage you and to also ask questions, powerful, deep questions to you as well, because essentially you are the one that is going to be doing the work and i and your coach is there to support you. And they're the one that you can turn to when you do have questions about things and maybe things are getting a bit tricky when you've come across something or something's come up and you're a bit like, oh, this is a bit...
00:04:03
Victoria R
a bit weird, like I need someone to talk through this with. So that is what the idea of it is.

Types of Coaches and Specializations

00:04:11
Victoria R
So a coach will normally be looking for like future forward. Okay. so they're future focused. They're focused on where you're going, not necessarily where you've been.
00:04:20
Victoria R
And the idea is that it empowers you. You should be working with someone that you know, like i said, supports you, lifts you up, gives you the tools that you need, gives you the advice that you may need at times when you ask for it and helps you kind of shift a bit of perspective, maybe um clarify if you've got a bit of a block and where you might be holding yourself back.
00:04:43
Victoria R
um So that's essentially what a coach is doing. Now, it's very important to realize that a coach is not a therapist. ah Okay. So very, very different and very different qualifications. So if you're wanting things like therapy or to be diagnosed for mental health conditions, for trauma, any of those sorts of things,
00:05:04
Victoria R
that's when you're best going to see a psychologist and a good coach will tell you that a good coach is not afraid to say, this is a little bit beyond my, my scope of my realm. I do suggest, you know, going to see someone else or, you know, working with someone as well as me. So that you can work with both. It can be done hand in hand as well.
00:05:24
Victoria R
But like I said, it's very important to clarify that distinction Because I think the the lines can get blurred sometimes and people do sometimes think that a coach is a therapist and they're not.
00:05:36
Victoria R
um Some may have that training and have those qualifications, in which case, yep, go for it. But please just be mindful that most coaches may not have those.
00:05:48
Victoria R
Now, When you're working with a coach, you can get a coach for pretty much anything. Okay. So um you can get a life coach. All right. So this is where someone can help you work out how to live your most fulfilled life.
00:06:05
Victoria R
You can have a mindset coach. They can help you with your confidence, with mindset blocks, with um any patterns you may have that keep replaying over and over. Maybe you have um some things that you keep thinking about yourself that may not necessarily be true, which are called limiting beliefs.
00:06:22
Victoria R
that's what a mindset coach can help you with. You've also got your wellness and health coaches. All right. So obviously people that can help you with your sleep, your nutrition, your movement, your whatever it might be in terms of wellness and health.
00:06:34
Victoria R
You may also have self-love or confidence coach. And these are ones that will work with you on your body image and your self-worth and your inner talk. There's also spiritual coaches, all right? So ones that ah deal with things like intuition and your soul purpose and any spiritual practices that may come up, right? So there's lots of coaches out there, lots of people that are trained in different areas. And it really depends on what you're looking for as to what type of coach you will choose to work with.
00:07:07
Victoria R
And there's also lots of different trainings that people can do. um in order to offer these different things as well. So generally, most coaches will have done some qualification to become a coach. so firstly, if you're going to work with someone, make sure they've got that. Okay.
00:07:27
Victoria R
That's the first thing to check. And then people will do other stuff. So you you can sometimes get people that have done lots of healing um work. So they might you know, be familiar with what's called somatic work or nervous system regulation or breath work or anything like that. So they may have done further study and become, you know, qualified in those areas.
00:07:51
Victoria R
And then you've got others that have studied astrology or you know, might have spirit guides or something. So, you know, they've kind of headed down that path. And then you get others that may have done hypnotherapy or um I think another one's like positive psychology and stuff like that. So like I said, there's there's coaches and then there's kind of like your your subheadings, I guess you could say. And it depends on what they've further studied as to kind of what area they may be specializing in.
00:08:23
Victoria R
And then you get some bit like me that kind of do a bit of everything and So for me in particular, I mean, I've done coaching, but I also focus on the mindfulness side, on the body-mind connection, um and also neuro-linguistic programming, so the NLP, and also bringing in a bit of shadow work

Choosing the Right Coach

00:08:42
Victoria R
as well. So you might be sitting there going, oh my gosh, Victoria, what the heck did you just say?
00:08:47
Victoria R
And this is what I mean when it comes to coaching. There's a lot of lingo. So yeah, Let me try and break it down for you. So neuro-linguistic programming is a tool and it focuses on changing your patterns, your habits, your subconscious blocks. And it's almost like, oh, how would you probably best describe it? and A lot of it is to do with language, so it's to do with your mind.
00:09:09
Victoria R
So that's the neuro. And then you've got the linguistic, which is the words, and it's kind of trying to change your programming a little bit. Okay. So There's some different techniques that can be used with this. and ah some of it does feel a little bit like meditation or um kind of getting into a deep, relaxed state when you do it.
00:09:29
Victoria R
So that is kind of one of the things that I do. Shadow work. This is really interesting. i' I'm not a full, full bottle on shadow work. I've kind of touched the surface on it.
00:09:40
Victoria R
But this one is basically when... you look at the whole, like all the parts of yourself, even the really like icky parts. And I know there's um there's quite a few people that are kind of coming through and doing some really great work in this area. So I know ah I've signed up to do um one of her further trainings, Felicity Morgan.
00:10:03
Victoria R
I know of her and her work is really good. So she's kind of leading the charge in a lot of this. And it's really fascinating because it's basically you're calling yourself out on your own bullshit a lot of the time. And things like, you know, jealousy or resentment come up, you kind go,
00:10:20
Victoria R
Okay, let's explore this. You don't just kind of blame it on other people. So a lot of it is taking a lot of accountability for yourself. So yeah, shadow work, it's really fascinating. I'm, yeah, watch this space.
00:10:31
Victoria R
There's definitely more coming through. um I've obviously explained to you about my mindfulness side as well. So that's something that I definitely bring into the coaching that I do. So I kind of use a few techniques like that. And also,
00:10:45
Victoria R
Looking at the mind body connection is well, as well as one of the ways that i also coach with clients. But then there's like, I i went and um did like a, what would you call it? Like a day retreat sort of thing.
00:10:59
Victoria R
um a few weeks ago and the lady that ran it so she had different i now they call them modalities so that I work your and NLP your hypnotherapy they can be called modality so if you hear that term that's kind of referring to the areas that people are trained in And her areas were things like breath work. So we did some breath work there, um which I don't know if anyone's done that before, but it's really quite interesting. um So that that was kind of my, oh i think it's about the second time I've done breath work. So a little bit different.
00:11:33
Victoria R
um I'm still not, um' jury's out on that. I'm still not sure how I feel about that. So I'll get back to you guys on it. um Holly, who I spoke to the other week, so her different modalities will be things like the root cause therapy um that she's done. Hers would also be a spinal energetics.
00:11:52
Victoria R
And she's also trained in human design as well. So she would use all those modalities in her coaching. So just to give you a bit of an example. So this is when it comes time for you to look for a coach, you kind of look for whoever matt is going to help you get from point A to point B, depending on what it is that you need and what it is that you're looking for at the time.
00:12:18
Victoria R
So my suggestion to you firstly, get a bit of a vibe. Okay. so don't just jump in feet first and sign up to working with someone that you've never experienced.
00:12:32
Victoria R
followed had anything to do with before you want to work out whether you're actually going to be to make progress with that person because like anything personality matters you might um follow someone be like oh my god their voice really annoys me So don't go with that person because they're probably going to give you the shits.
00:12:56
Victoria R
You might follow someone and what they're doing is totally not what you need. So they might be a money coach and you need someone to help you with your body confidence. So again, that's not going to work either.
00:13:07
Victoria R
So suss them out, work out what it is that they specialize in, work out whether you kind of get a good vibe off them, whether you can see yourself working with this person. And most people will be open to chatting with you before even working with you, just so you can kind of get a bit of a sense as to whether this person is going to work for you.
00:13:28
Victoria R
And I have definitely worked with people that I shouldn't have. I've made these mistakes. So this is why I'm like, just trust me. Yeah. Yeah.
00:13:41
Victoria R
I've definitely done that. I, um, there was one recently where I signed up for, oh, it was a course and ah straight away, like I knew i shouldn't have done it.
00:13:52
Victoria R
I knew I shouldn't have done it. And straight away i was like, no, I can't. I think it was like the very first call. So this was like a group program and it was the very first call. And I ended up having to leave like halfway through it because I'm like, I just can't, I cannot stand this person. And I'm like, oh my gosh, Victoria, what were you thinking?
00:14:11
Victoria R
And it was nothing to do with them. Like they are a lovely person and I've i've got no issues with them as a person at all. It was just, It was the whole, um what the program was about. It just wasn't for me.
00:14:25
Victoria R
And I knew that, but I still signed up anyway. So that was on me. Like it wasn't on them. It was totally on me. And you will also find that there's some people that you just don't like, and that is okay. You're not going to like everyone.
00:14:38
Victoria R
And this is where I say, suss them out, maybe follow them for a little bit, listen to them as they're talking, get a sense as to what they're about before you sign up for anything.
00:14:51
Victoria R
Now, I also want to say as well, at no point should you feel pressured to work with anyone. If you have a ah call that they're sometimes called discovery calls, if you have a discovery call with someone and they're really pressuring you on that call to sign up,
00:15:09
Victoria R
get the hell out of Dodge. That is not on. Okay. There should be no pressuring of anything to work with you. They may follow up and just say, Hey, it was really lovely to chat with you. Here are, you know, the, the program details or whatever it might be.
00:15:25
Victoria R
If you have any questions, let me know. And that's fair enough. Like that's just a, a courtesy after you've spoken with them. But if they're saying, oh, you need to sign up, yeah this deal will expire at the end of this call or any of that crap. No, don't, just don't.
00:15:41
Victoria R
All right. They're usually the ones worried more about the the dollar figures than the actual help in the person. So please just use your common sense when you are choosing someone to work with um and don't fall for all the flashy crap. Okay. Just please.
00:15:56
Victoria R
Okay. Um, now there's also a lot of lingo that is within the coaching world as well. And like I said, I've got my notes. I've, uh, I've written a few down that, that I came across because I still remember, I think it was the very first time I worked with someone and they said something and i'm like, what the does that mean?
00:16:18
Victoria R
And I remember actually asking my sister because I'm like, I don't know what this means. And because she'd obviously done a little bit before me, she was like, oh yeah, this is what that means. I was like, sweet. All right. So one of the ones, this is one of the ones that I didn't know.
00:16:33
Victoria R
I will say a container. Welcome to this container. So basically what that is saying is, well, like this is a dedicated space or period of time that you're going to be working together. Okay.
00:16:44
Victoria R
So for example, if you sign up um for three months, you're in a three month container. All right. So you're not, you're not being stuck in a Tupperware container. ah This is just what they're calling the journey, I guess you could say.
00:16:58
Victoria R
All right. So a safe, sacred time for change. All right. Holding space is another one. Okay. So to hold space means that you're fully present with someone. You're not trying to fix them. You're not judging them.
00:17:11
Victoria R
You're not advising. You're just allowing them to be seen and to be heard in an open, safe way. So you're literally just holding that space for them. All right. So I'm not here to solve it I'm here to sit with you.
00:17:25
Victoria R
Okay. Okay.

Decoding Coaching Terminology

00:17:26
Victoria R
So if you come across that, that's what that one means. ah Reframe is another one. So reframe is just looking at a situation or a belief in a different way.
00:17:37
Victoria R
All right. And it's usually in a different way that's trying to empower you. All right. Giving you a different perspective. All right. So just kind of making you go oh, yeah, I never thought of it that way before. All right. So that was what um is being referred to when they're saying reframe.
00:17:52
Victoria R
Now, a limiting belief, I think I touched on this one earlier. So limiting belief is basically a subconscious belief that may that may be holding you back. So for example, if you're constantly thinking, oh I'm not good enough to do this, that would be classified or classed as a limiting belief.
00:18:07
Victoria R
So if you hear the word limiting belief, all right, that is what they're referring to, you that subconscious belief that you've heard or formed. And usually these things are formed kind of in your early years and you don't even realize and the things that you've been saying to yourself all this time and not even realizing that you've been saying it to yourself, but it's stopping you from doing stuff.
00:18:28
Victoria R
And it's actually really interesting because I had a coaching call myself yesterday with one of my coaches and she uncovered one that I didn't even know I had.
00:18:41
Victoria R
But it's been holding me back in a few things. i was like, oh, and it wasn't even mine to carry. so I was like, oh, there you go um All right. Some other terms.
00:18:52
Victoria R
Alignment is another one. so when you're living in a alignment. Um, that's basically when your actions and your values and your energy are all going in the same direction, the right direction, what's feeling good for you.
00:19:04
Victoria R
Okay. So they're feeling natural, natural choices. It's feeling like it's yeah, expansive and it's, it's what you're, you're all about. All right, embodiment.
00:19:15
Victoria R
This is another one. Like I said, I told you I've got a list. So emor embodiment means, oh my God, I can't ever pronounce that, embodiment um is fully living a truth, okay? So not just thinking it, but you're feeling it. It's in your body and it's in your actions. You're embodying everything about that, okay?
00:19:32
Victoria R
So instead of saying that I'm confident, you're actually showing that you're confident through your walk, through your um your words, your actions, okay? All right. It's embodied throughout you.
00:19:45
Victoria R
Now, this is a fun one, this next one. Energetic leak. Again, was like, what? So an energetic leak or leaky energy is another way that is referred to it. It's basically anywhere that you may be losing your energy without realizing it.
00:20:00
Victoria R
So this it might be when you keep saying yes and really you want to say no. So you've got pretty poor boundaries. So you're kind of giving your energy away um without even realizing it. It might be overthinking things.
00:20:11
Victoria R
So if you're constantly, you know, you've done something and then you're thinking, overthinking it, overthinking it. You're wasting your energy on overthinking something that's already done. So again, that's an energy leak, all right, or leaking energy. All right, could be people pleasing, could be doing things that aren't aligned.
00:20:25
Victoria R
So like I said, that's what all that is referring to.
00:20:30
Victoria R
Subconscious reprogramming. So what this might mean is when you're, what we're doing when you're subconsciously reprogramming is you're trying to change deeply held beliefs that the person may have.
00:20:45
Victoria R
and any mental patterns at the subconscious level. And this is usually when and NLP, so that neuro-linguistic programming will come into it. So you get into a real meditative state type thing.
00:20:57
Victoria R
um it could be through visualization. it could be through hypnotherapy. All right. So if you come across that, that is what they will be doing. ah breakthrough. i think this one's pretty self-explanatory, but it's when you have those big hot moments, all right, and something really powerful may change or click or you're like,
00:21:15
Victoria R
oh, it just makes sense. ah All right. So that's what a breakthrough is referring to. All right. When they say, oh, you seem to have a lot of resistance. Okay. Resistance is those inner blocks or when you're trying to push back, like if you're trying to create change, but it's not happening because you keep, you know, sabotaging yourself.
00:21:33
Victoria R
You've got some resistance in that area. Usually it's subconscious. You're not even really aware of why you're doing it or when you're doing it. All right. But this is when it shows up maybe avoidance patterns. You're avoiding doing whatever it is that you need to do. You might be procrastinating. So, you know, you've got a big paper due and all of a sudden you need to clean the house.
00:21:52
Victoria R
over And also, like I said, self-sabotage and you're trying to lose weight but you're eating a block of chocolate a day. You know, those sorts of patterns, they're called like they come under kind of that resistance type thing.
00:22:04
Victoria R
Quantum leap. Now this one, I didn't even know about this um until I was listening to Monica Yates on one of her podcasts and she was like quantum leaping all over the joint. And basically what that means is a really rapid, big shift in your mindset or your success. And it's a really quick one, right? so all of a sudden that, you know, going slow, slow, slow, and then boom, there's like this big change and it happens really quickly. And it's usually a really positive thing as well.
00:22:33
Victoria R
All right, three more to go with these terminology. Integration is another one. So integration means the process of allowing new things that um you learn to shift or to land and to settle and just to become part of your day-to-day life. So you just start to integrate them into who you are now. All right, so that's not something big and scary. It just becomes normal.
00:22:56
Victoria R
Intuitive guidance. All right. So this is where you're tuning in to listen to your gut instinct, your inner knowing, your higher self, whatever it might be, not just, um,
00:23:07
Victoria R
your brain trying to give you that logic or listening to the advice of others. It's just that inner knowing, that inner, that intuitive guidance that you get from within. Okay. And the last one is expansion. All right. So this is where your personal growth that stretches you, it stretches your capacity.
00:23:25
Victoria R
And it's usually really bloody uncomfortable because it's stuff that you're, you're fully stepping out of your comfort zone for this. And it doesn't feel great. Okay. But it's really powerful. And then you kind of you move through it, you learn all the things that you need to learn emotionally, mentally, spiritually.
00:23:43
Victoria R
And then you kind of, oh, that's your new normal. And then you try to do it again and again and again, because that's usually what happens when you start working on your yourself. and So there is just a really, um I like to say quick, it hasn't been quick because I've been chatting a bit, but there are just some of the terminology that you may come across when you first step into the coaching industry. And like I said, I didn't know a lot of what this was.
00:24:10
Victoria R
And I still remember sitting on that first call going, I don't understand what you've just said. And you feel like a bit of an idiot because, you know, everyone else is like, hmm, and you're like, hmm. But that's why I'm like, right, let's break this down a little bit because it isn't something that is necessarily familiar to a lot of people. So now if you do hear this terminology and you do hear these words, you're going to have some idea of what they are.
00:24:33
Victoria R
So i just quickly recapping.

Qualifications and Industry Insights

00:24:37
Victoria R
All right. So a coach is a person that is trying to support you to help get that bridge between where you are now and where you want to be.
00:24:44
Victoria R
Right. Most coaches will have different modalities, so different areas of expertise. And this is where you need to work out who is going to work best with you, depending on what it is that you need.
00:24:56
Victoria R
All right. And this is another thing that actually i want to bring up as well. So. The coaching industry as it stands at the moment, um there isn't a lot of regulation around it. So this is where you as the consumer need to do your due diligence. I always get that word wrong, but due diligence.
00:25:19
Victoria R
And, Look into the the person that you're wanting to work with. All right, make sure the qualifications are legit. Make sure that they are legit.
00:25:31
Victoria R
um You know, you can read reviews, read testimonials, try and find independent ones if possible. It's not always possible. Word of mouth is always great. If you know someone that's worked with a person before, obviously that's going to be really helpful.
00:25:45
Victoria R
And just like I said, trust your own intuition here as well as to whether there's someone that is going to benefit you um when working with them. And as I also said, life coaches or coaches of any sort are not qualified.
00:26:00
Victoria R
Okay, well, most, unless they are a psychologist or similar, pretty much all the most of them will not be qualified to diagnose mental health conditions. They're not going to be diagnosed to treat or to heal trauma.
00:26:11
Victoria R
They're not um qualified to provide therapy as well. Okay, that's not... what they're meant to be doing. So please be mindful of that as well. If you're wanting those things, you need to go see a trained psychologist.
00:26:25
Victoria R
There are some trained psychologists that do um coach as well. So they would definitely be people to look at working with if that's what you require. But if it's trying to deal with um lots of mental health issues and things like that, please go see a psychologist for those.

Coaching Limitations and Client Responsibilities

00:26:42
Victoria R
Um,
00:26:45
Victoria R
Coaches also aren't qualified to give things like legal advice, medical advice, financial advice. um That's where you need to go see your doctors or your lawyers or your accountants, okay? So for those things, you go see the people who are trained in those areas.
00:26:59
Victoria R
um And also please just be mindful of people offering, um not offering or claiming that they can solve everything within a certain amount of time. I can tell you now...
00:27:11
Victoria R
that there is no way that someone can fix all of your problems within three months. Okay. I'm going to be completely blunt with you there.
00:27:22
Victoria R
Firstly, they can't fix it. You need to work on it. All right. The coach is there to guide you and support you not to do the work for you. So please be aware of claims like that.
00:27:34
Victoria R
All right. Secondly, if you are wanting to work on yourself and your own self-development, trust me, the more like the ah more you go into it, the more gets uncovered along the way. So you won't just be able to solve everything within three months.
00:27:51
Victoria R
If there's a specific problem, possibly, yeah. All right. If you're trying to solve absolutely everything, you might need to readjust your expectations. Okay. All right.
00:28:02
Victoria R
So please just be mindful of that as well. I would also suggest um if you are wanting to work with someone, if there's a way to maybe try one or two sessions and then look at working with them for longer, because,
00:28:18
Victoria R
A lot of people will offer things like a three, a six or a 12 month container. Remember that word container? um And there's a reason for that as well, because you get to really know the person you get to um be able to find.
00:28:32
Victoria R
ah I suppose, where they're trying to hide. You get to notice their patterns. You get to know a lot about them and you can actually bring a awareness, a lot more awareness to them in those cases as well from a coaching perspective because you know what that person is like.
00:28:46
Victoria R
It's really hard to do that in a one like one-off session or whatever it might be. They're really good for getting to know the person and for them to work out whether they actually want to work with you as well.
00:28:59
Victoria R
But if you are wanting real change and lasting change, that is when you probably will have to invest into a longer period of time to work with a person. So please just keep that in mind as well, if you are looking at working with a coach.

Coaching Costs and Financial Considerations

00:29:14
Victoria R
um And in terms of pricing, this is, it's really up to the individual coach. So some people will charge, you know, $50 a session, some will charge $500 a session.
00:29:26
Victoria R
There is no regulation regarding this. And this is where you've got to use your own judgment and also work out what you can or can't afford. Please don't put yourself into debt if you cannot afford to work with someone long-term, all right, or do a one-off session with them.
00:29:43
Victoria R
Okay, this is where you need to, yeah, make your own decisions there and A lot of people will offer payment plans as well. So that ah also is an option.
00:29:54
Victoria R
But again, please make sure it's feeling right for you before you sign on the dotted line. Okay. Like I said, just just please have that awareness. You hopefully will be able to tell who the coaches are that actually genuinely want to see you succeed and want to see those those positive changes made compared to the ones that are just looking to make bank.
00:30:13
Victoria R
All right. So like I said, please um use your own discernment there and your own judgment. All right. um Anyway, I hope this has been helpful for you. if any questions have come up about this, please let me know. um Like I said, I know it can be really hard industry to navigate, especially when you're first stepping into it.

Benefits of Coaching and Personal Growth

00:30:35
Victoria R
And even those that have been in it for years still find that as well. So, you know, as long as I think you're looking for someone that is focusing on what you want to focus on. So he's kind of in that area of whatever it is that you're needing at the time, who seems really genuine, who has, you know, it got results or who feels like they've got a good vibe for you.
00:30:57
Victoria R
you know, you can't go wrong in that regard. And as I found, no matter who I've worked with, whether it's been, a really great experience or a not so great experience, I've learned something from everyone that I've worked with and I've walked away with some bit, a bit of knowledge um or better knowledge than what I had before. So even if the experience hasn't been that great, which I haven't had many, thankfully, I've always learned something and it's always, there's always been a reason for it as well. So just keep that in mind as well. And
00:31:31
Victoria R
Make sure your expectations also aren't too high because like I said, you are the one that has to do the work at the end of the day. all right. You can't expect the coach to be doing it for you. As I said, their job is to support and to guide you.
00:31:46
Victoria R
You're the one that has to actually do the work. All right. So please keep that in mind because a lot of people think it's like waving a magic wand. It's not. Yeah.
00:31:57
Victoria R
it's fun it is fun because you find out a lot about yourself but you have to do that yourself all right you have to take accountability you have to see parts of yourself that maybe you don't really want to see and you have to work through stuff that perhaps you weren't aware of but it is so worth it in the end and it actually it's it's a really fun thing to do and it improves so many aspects of your life as well. So that is what I really love about it. I love the fact that, um yeah, it's it's made me really aware of of the life I want to have and how to get there. And if I do have things come up, I can now work through it in a much easier way.
00:32:39
Victoria R
I'm not saying it is easy. I'm just saying there's an easier way for me to work through it. And I can also pick up on my own patterns a little bit now as well. Well, I say a little bit, I can a lot more. I'm like, oh, like okay, yeah, I see what I did there.
00:32:52
Victoria R
So it is really good for that self-awareness too. So yeah it is great.
