We're going to talk about how comfort actually impacts your motivation, your productivity, mindset, and even your momentum. Okay. wanna be uncomfortable, right? Because that's it. When you're uncomfortable, that's when the growth is really gonna happen. But when you get comfortable, you're gonna just stay. Stay in this neutral position and that sucks, okay?
The Illusion and Danger of Comfort

We want to stay in that cozy bed. We want to hit snooze. We want to put the blankets up over us and we want to have a nice warm cozy coffee, right? That's what we want. And you could totally have that, but if you're just doing that all the time, I'm telling you, man, that's not it. So, so we all want to be comfortable. We all want life to be easy where everything falls into place. You know, we don't have to push too hard, but there's a problem with getting too comfortable.

It leads to you being neutral, right? and being neutral, like that they will actually kill your momentum. So let me just ask you, have you ever started a project or a goal with tons of energy, motivation, excitement, only to find yourself slowing down, putting it off, or just forgetting about it altogether? You might tell yourself, oh, I'll get back to it tomorrow, but tomorrow never really comes, do it. So what's happening here? You've got comfortable

Right? We've all done that. You've hit that sweet spot where, you know, you're not in pain, but you're also not growing. And while comfort feels good, it can also really be an enemy to your progress. You know? Getting comfortable, man. I'm telling you. it'll it It will kill your motivation. I promise you that. Like, comfort will actually Like when you get really comfortable, it's going to diminish your drive. You know, when things are, when things are too easy, you start to lose that fire, you know, like that fire that you really had when you started to get comfortable, it just puts out that fire. So why push harder when everything is is smooth? Why take the risks when there's really no urgency, you know, motivation, it thrives on a challenge.

um Comfort leads to a lack of productivity. you know Comfort, can it it can breed a sense of complacency where you don't feel the need to really put in any extra effort. Your product your productivity is gonna drop because you stop challenging yourself. If you really think about times in your life where you were on fire, crushing your goals, hitting your milestones, those moments were probably when you were stretching yourself.

It's not easy, but that's where the freaking growth happens now, doesn't it? Right? Now, discomfort weakens your mindset as well, if you really think about it. You know, but when you get comfortable, you start avoiding those challenges. You start to believe that you are not capable of handling them. And then then i'm I'm feeling fresh, I'm feeling good. I lock in on the gym. My workouts start getting better. I lock in on my food. When I start doing this shit, momentum, I'm telling you,

You know, that's that's when I find that things are not great. They slowly stop being so great, you know? So, I just gotta keep my foot under the gas, and that's why I'm here talking to you guys, because it's so important about just staying hungry for it, putting yourself in discomfort, and not letting comfort take over your life. I wanna say too, comfort actually disrupts your momentum, you know? like The momentum is is really like the secret freaking sauce to achieve in anything because when you lose momentum in life, it sucks. But when you got that momentum and the foot's on the gas, like it's a force that really carries you forward. It makes everything a little bit easier as you go.

If if you if you're running up a hill, it's tough, right? like Hill sprints, they suck, but you're pushing hard. you know and and and every And every single step you take, you're getting closer and closer, there's no. Now imagine and you stop halfway.

Like the the moment you stop challenging yourself, you start you you really stop making progress. You lose momentum. But when you're in the gym and you're crushing it, the workouts are getting better and better and better. And you start seeing results. You're like, fuck yeah.

The more you take action, and all the easy to easier it's gonna get. You build a snowball effect. you all this it's just but like This positive cycle is just gonna propel you forward.

Like goals that are just at a reach is going to is going to force you to really step outside of your comfort zone. And like you yeah You need to take action. But when you do the small actions and you stay consistent, this is what's gonna build momentum. And the key to start this is just do something every day that takes you at us out of your comfort zone.
