Introduction to Season Seven

00:00:00
Speaker
Welcome to Wine Mama, a podcast where two bestie moms whine while they whine. I'm Annie. And I'm Jemina. Let's whine. And as the most trending and popular thing ever, we have officially gone from season six to season seven. Annie, would you like to say it with me?
00:00:19
Speaker
six seven. can't. Our first graders would be proud that we just actually said that on air and not told them to stop saying that. So, but welcome back everybody and welcome to anybody that may um be new

Kennedy's Anticipated Reaction

00:00:37
Speaker
to Wine Mama. Would highly recommend going back to previous seasons for lots of lots of giggles and fun guests and education. but Welcome back to season seven, which is crazy to say. hi Annie. How are you?
00:00:52
Speaker
I'm doing great. I cannot wait to let Kennedy listen to that intro. She is going to be giggling her little booty off because she still thinks six, seven is so funny. So she is going to love that. so kudos, kudos to that intro there.
00:01:09
Speaker
It's, you know, it had to be said that I'm going to admit that it was your idea to to do that intro um because I had nothing. I was going to reference the TV show Seventh Heaven, which we all know in this day and age did not age well. So yeah, we're just going to leave it at that. You guys can Google it. um But

Welcoming New 'Whinies' and Community Discussion

00:01:30
Speaker
anyways. You nailed it. work Yeah. Happy to get back. You nailed it. I am. I think we say it every single we were laughing about this because we say it every single season. It's like, oh my gosh, how do we make it this many seasons? How we like This is crazy that we're this many seasons in. And like Jamina said, if you haven't heard if you are new to Finding Us, if you've just come across our podcast, welcome.
00:01:50
Speaker
um You know, our our listeners, we call them the whinies. So welcome to the whiny world, I guess you could say. Feels weird. why why need We're still open to suggestions. Yeah, no, we're open to suggestions. Yeah.
00:02:04
Speaker
Always open the suggestions for a name change um for the followers, yes if you will. Because whinies can come two different we're talking about like wine whinies, not like you're being a little whiny biatch type of vibe, you know? But sometimes we are whiny. Sometimes we get on here like we whine and we whine. Like, you know, we just like we shoot the shit and try a new wine.

Wine of the Week: Earthquake Cabernet Sauvignon

00:02:26
Speaker
And episode is going to be all about kind of catching up what we did over the the break kind of what's ahead for this new season but let's I think we need to chat about this wine. 1000% let's get straight into the wine i'm ready for a glass I've already tried to take a sip like 10 10 times off the air off the record so I think it's time to just dive in.
00:02:52
Speaker
I saw you try and trying to like steer clear of it ah yeah i saw i saw you over there so it sounds like we are ready to wine with our wine of the week and this week we are drinking the earthquake cabernet sauvignon so and the bottle looks really cool i think the front of the bottle is a oh i don't know what it's called like when like an earthquake's about to happen and there's like those like latitudes no i don't know if it's a lot longitudinal lines of the earthquake like Yeah, it's like the little squiggly when it's about to like amp up. I think that's what it is. So it looked cool. So i was like, hey, let's do this earthquake Cabernet. So we're going to we're going to see how it is together.
00:03:33
Speaker
Yes, no, I agree. i And honestly, let's be honest. Let's just go ahead and start the season as an earthquake that we are. So minus it matches the vibe of, first of all, how we chose the one chaotically.
00:03:48
Speaker
A little chaotically. a little chaotically. The ABC was closed. It was a Sunday. ABC was closed. And we're like, all right, Publix it is. We can do it. Publix it is. But anyways, it is Earthquake Cabernet Sauvignon.

Family History of the Winemakers

00:04:02
Speaker
don't know if we fully said what it was. But essentially, the team at Earthquake and Lodi, which is as in Lodi, California. Lodi? Lodi? I think it's Lodi. Lodi? Yeah, Lodi. It sounds like ah like a Star Wars name.
00:04:16
Speaker
I think you're thinking of Loki. Loki from the Avengers. That's who you're thinking of. Is that the, that is not Avengers, but Marvel. Yes. mean, Marvel. Yeah. I'm totally like Star Wars, Marvel. I'm all over the place. Anyways, Ladai. Mm-hmm.
00:04:30
Speaker
Like what? I don't even know what this place is, to be honest. But anyways, they go way back. They've been farming on the soil since the 1860s and cultivating wine grapes since the early 20th century. So this is like a very, very long time. Math is not my forte, but that's a very long time. That's a long time.
00:04:49
Speaker
But the founders, brothers Michael and David Phillips, are fifth generation grape growers who have raised their families in the vineyard. And now the sixth generation has joined the team, including Mike's daughter, Melissa.
00:05:03
Speaker
They more than most understand the importance of leaving it better than you found it for future generations. The family legacy and love of Ladi drives through their focus on sustainability, which is always the buzzword for Wine Mama. We are...
00:05:18
Speaker
fine, fine, big favorites of anything that's sustainable. Yes. And I love they are keeping it in the family. I'm like, okay, we're checking, we're checking some boxes over here. Like we don't really, we don't like to judge a book by its cover before we taste it, but um we're getting high marks on the description so far.
00:05:41
Speaker
But let's be honest, we do judge by the cover a lot of times too. We do. that's We've been led astray by doing so. so Yeah. Yeah. we've had some We've had some doozies in the past. um over Over the top and shattering to the veins, ooh, these wines possess major concentration and daring flavor. The original is the Earthquake Zinn, which came from an old Lidai vineyard,
00:06:05
Speaker
planted around the same time of San Francisco's great earthquake of 1906. While mulling over a label name in the vineyard, Michael Phillips thought it only seemed fitting to relate this intense wine with the historical quake. So that's where I guess the name earthquake came from was their original wine that the Zen um was harvested around that San Francisco earthquake, which is kind of, I mean, that's kind interesting, you know?
00:06:31
Speaker
yeah I can't imagine... I mean, talk about turning lemons into lemonade. i know. Seize the opportunity. Oh, tragedy? It's cool. We're going wine out of it.
00:06:43
Speaker
Like, can you imagine them saying, like, what is this? Like, what are we going to call ourselves? What is it? And Michael comes storming in. He's like, earthquake. We're going to call it. It's earthquake. And they're like, all right, let's do it.
00:06:54
Speaker
All these people that were just impacted going to need wine. Yeah. Go ahead and admit that. And let's run with it. And run with it. They did run with it. They did. successful business so far.

Wine Tasting Notes and Surprising Quality

00:07:06
Speaker
So kudos to them, more power to them. But in regards to the wine, as far as some tasting notes that we all always love to hear, and this is how we truly judge before we actually take a sip, but shattering the molds with off the chart concentrated flavors, the 2022 Earthquake Cabernet is a force to be reckoned with. Deep ruby and hue, which I will say it is pretty dark. So I do agree with that. yep This wine opens with bold layer aromas of raspberry creme brulee.
00:07:40
Speaker
So very, very excited about that description. And cedar box in the glass. Kind of opposite route there. We'll discuss that.
00:07:51
Speaker
Full-bodied, this cab is filled with intense flavors of wild huckleberry, cherry pie, and a butter croissant, leading to a trembling oak-inspired finish. there's I'm liking what I'm hearing.
00:08:05
Speaker
um I'm liking what I'm hearing, specifically the raspberry creme brulee and the butter croissant. I have never heard, tell me if I'm wrong, in all six seasons that we have done this now, seven, six, seven, um I have never heard butter croissant in a description.
00:08:24
Speaker
Tell me if I'm wrong. But now I'm like, interest

Jemina's New Love for Dior Lip Oil

00:08:28
Speaker
piqued. Or listen, listen, baby. if i know If I know something, I i know that i love a croissant.
00:08:35
Speaker
I know that I love a butter croissant and I am willing to pay $6, $7 Starbucks for one. So yes I'm- It smells really good. it does Have you smelled it?
00:08:49
Speaker
Yeah. it's It's funny how dark it is though. It's very dark. It really is. I mean, it describes it, but it is very dark. And I mean, I don't, I'll be the first to say, I don't think smells like raspberry crème brûlée.
00:09:02
Speaker
But it smells good. no Yeah. I also, I just went like this and I went to smell the mic. like that i I went the wrong direction. So you guys, I think it's time to take our first sip of the season. i think it's time.
00:09:16
Speaker
With that, cheers. Cheers to season seven.
00:09:24
Speaker
Okay. Oh, okay. All right. One more. Let me...
00:09:34
Speaker
I'm very surprised. I'm very surprised. This is really good. Wait, what is your thoughts? Do you not like it? No, it's narrow very good. Like I'm like... Oh my gosh, this is wonderful.
00:09:45
Speaker
You know why I think I'm so surprised? Because a lot of times when there's a lot of things in the tasting notes that we like, we actually don't end up liking the wine. Yes, it it kicks us in the ass and we're like, shit, because we see all these things we're like, oh, this is great, great, great. and Then we taste it and we're like, e literally every time. my gosh, this is so good.
00:10:04
Speaker
This is a raspberry crème boulet. It's not sweet. I'm not going to lie. It's not a sweet. Oh my God. Someone, someone for the love of God, I need an authentic croissant. Like I'm talking about the layers of butter, like a flaky croissant, a bite of a flaky croissant. And then this, are you kidding?
00:10:23
Speaker
but Are you kidding? I'm ready. Bonjour. Bonjour. Oui, oui. Oui, oui, Paris. Yeah. Yeah.
00:10:33
Speaker
like take me there my gosh this is so i i'm just gonna just we this is it you are just gonna listen to us and drink this wine drink the entire thing but here's the thing though like i think that's why i'm so shocked because this is like the first time in a very long time that we have read tasting notes that have actually matched because we judge a lot by the tasty notes we do the first time it has actually matched the expectation so i think that's why like i'm so shocked Even like the aftertaste.

Wine Rating System Explained

00:11:02
Speaker
You know how like that aftertaste sometimes it's like sometimes it can be a little harsh. Sometimes be a little dry. Yes.
00:11:08
Speaker
This is I am you guys watch my first. So if you're new here, if we we rate the wines at the end, we do it a a corking. And if you rate it a 10, that means that you love the wine so much you would basically get it tattooed on your body. So basically nothing has ever gotten a 10. Watch the first thing be this, be a 10, and I'm going to get freaking wines, little earthquake wines around my arm.
00:11:31
Speaker
I'm going to get the earthquake lines ah around my arm. But this is, I'm so happy with how this is turning out. Of course we'll cork at the end, but this is a perfect line to chat about the break and how things were in life while we go between seasons. So how was we ended what right before Thanksgiving, right?
00:11:54
Speaker
Tell me I'm right. Yes. Right before Thanksgiving. It's usually right. Usually when the break starts. Yeah. That kind of gives us some like breathing space. I don't know. Now I'm um afraid I'm wrong there. No, I think it was before. I'm pretty sure it was before Thanksgiving. right Before Thanksgiving, like one to two weeks before Thanksgiving. to Yeah. So important holidays are everyone needs the break. Yeah. We need the break. so tell us how, how has everything been? Yes. We ended on right in the beginning of of November.
00:12:22
Speaker
So how, I think that's so much, so much has been going on. yeah um Well, um let me think back. Well, first and first, you guys can probably, let's talk about the elephant in the room. Oh, what does it? can probably see that my background is a little bit different. on I am officially, if you guys remember last season, I talked about, you know, Avery girl moving to her big girl room and we needed to transform her room into like a office room.
00:12:52
Speaker
guest situation and that we were quoted $14,000 for a Murphy bed. Cuckoo bananas. Cuckoo insane. Literally cuckoo insane. But thank God we opened up about that journey because one of our listeners, shout out to Alexis Payne, listened to that and she sent me some recommendations for different options, which is what you see behind me now, which you don't because you're listening. But anyways, i'm in the...
00:13:22
Speaker
I'm in the new room. It did not cost us $14,000. Again, shout out to Alexis who literally listened to the podcast and was like, girl, do not pay for $14,000 for a market bed.
00:13:33
Speaker
This is what we have. Sent me a link. I bought it. And yeah, so that was one of the things we did. And you know what? Actually, we started planning the process last year, but it actually came to fruition just a couple weeks ago. Like beginning of year. I have seen it. with my own With my own eyes. It's great. It's beautiful. It's lovely. i have to give one more shout out to Alexis because she has been a loyal listener since day one. She has given us wine recommendations since day one. when wake came ah When we came on here hating on Chardonnay, she was like, no, no, no.
00:14:07
Speaker
um Ladies, please. Let me humble you. Yeah. She's like, let me, you guys just really didn't pick the right one. So I, that all I wanted to say is she has been here since day one. So she deserves a shout out because i we love people who find us, you know, on these very first episodes. Like if you're finding us now, or if you've been with us from season one, we, we love everyone, but listen, our ride or dies.
00:14:30
Speaker
They're always there. And honestly, like we even, we love even more of the fact that you interact and like send us these recommendations and like, also humble us when we say we're wrong. Like, like you know, no one's opinion is perfect besides mine and Annie's, but like, yeah we'll take yours into consideration. If we mispronounce something, you you're right. Yeah. Like, we'd love to hear your opinion, but like our opinion is always right. But like yours, we'll listen to it for sure.
00:14:57
Speaker
But no, when Jamina was saying you could see her background, if you guys follow us on Instagram or TikTok, Wine Mama Podcast, you will see the videos

Social Media Engagement

00:15:05
Speaker
that get posted. So technically, you will know most people are listening, that people could see the background if they follow us on Instagram and TikTok.
00:15:14
Speaker
Yeah, shameless plug in there. Go follow us on Instagram and TikTok. How simple is that? Like, if you want to mute us, fine, but go follow us. Yeah, just throw us a like every now and then. We love it. Um, but anyways, yeah, so we did that. I mean, of course we had the, the good old like chaos and beauty that is the holidays with families and traveling. Um, so many things, just literally so many things. And now we're just back into the swing of things, right? Like schools back in session, sports are officially back in session. We've got flag football, we've got soccer, we've got karate, we've got dance.
00:15:48
Speaker
We've got a lot of things going on. I've, i've set some goals, some 2026 goals for myself, which we'll chat about a little bit more in depth. We'll kind of go over that. um And yeah, and I've got some recommendations too. Like I want to share. Like things that I've like learned and discovered over this break that I feel like people should know about. So I have a lot to say, but before we deep dive into all my feelings and thoughts, how was break over there? What's the vibe? What did y'all do? How how are the kiddos over there? Like how is specifically, you know, one of our most precious queens of the show, Charlie?
00:16:30
Speaker
Charlie, you guys, I'm going to have her on here one day just to like give her like maybe like a five minute like chats with Charlie or something. i don't know. I just made that up in my head. Can you imagine? would love it. She's a wild animal. But what before I get into that, um I just feel a little bit unprepared maybe because you're like, I've got goals to share. I've got new findings here. and the facts and the figures are really showing up nicely. And I'm like, wait, what?
00:16:57
Speaker
Let me pull up my PowerPoint. How much time does everybody have? I'm like, wait, what did you bring to the episode? Because I was just going to chat a little bit about some stuff we did over break and call it a night.
00:17:09
Speaker
So I'm just trying to screw my head on straight now because this wine's really throwing me off. I'm really happy. i'm like, man, I'm feeling great. I was really worried about it. And then you're saying this stuff about bringing these findings and all this stuff. I'm like, okay, well, i had a great break. um Let's see. Thanksgiving, we always go up to North Georgia. So Thanksgiving was spent with both sides of the family, which is always great. My parents go up there and we're up there with Greg's as well.
00:17:35
Speaker
and It's always just like so it's just such a good, like much needed time. The kids love it up there. We've made these wonderful traditions and we cut down our tree. And so it's just, it's so fun to be up there. And then of course, Christmas and new year were lots of family time, friend time. um I feel like we really like kind of like recharged and reset, but I have to tell you guys is when we left. So Christmas day, telling my mindset was for the first, like the beginning of the new year, like the first like week I was like, I don't know what day it is. don't know who I am,
00:18:09
Speaker
i I am where I am. i don't even know. I feel like I was in like a time warp. So on Christmas day, we woke up, we did gifts, Santa, like all that stuff. And at 9am we left our house. I did not get back to my house until Saturday, January 3rd. Did not touch foot in my home from 9am Christmas morning.
00:18:31
Speaker
until January 3rd. So like put that in perspective, like think about like, look around at your surroundings of your home on Christmas morning. Think about what it looked like at 9am. yeah Think about that. Yeah. And that was my house. That is what we left at 9am. And so it was kind of crazy, but it's just so wonderful. Like we saw, we were with Greg's family and my family, both on Christmas day, which was super important to me this year. So, and then we went back up to North Georgia for new year. So yeah,
00:19:00
Speaker
But yeah, it was kind of like cuckoo and I finally feel like I'm getting my groove back. We just did a favorite things party this past weekend together. we did. So fun.
00:19:12
Speaker
Love to chat about anything hosting, first of all. um You guys all know, if you've heard previous episodes, me and Annie are all about like the little details when it comes to hosting a party. um i was not a host, but I have been a part of multiple favorite things party. So i was so thrilled to an honor to have been able to join your favorite things party. And you guys, it did not disappoint.
00:19:39
Speaker
it was an It was so good. I'm not talking about like the hosting part, like my friend and I hosted because we, we kind of mentioned it right before um Black Friday time period. We're like Oh, maybe like a Christmas thing. And we were like, everybody's already got their set plans for Christmas. Let's move each other other time, like later, whatever, which kind of ended up being kind of fun because It was like oh, Christmas is over. Wait, wait. We're going to really fun girls' night. It's all these great favorite things. Everyone brought fantastic things. So when you said it was great, like, yes, the like the hosting really, it was, like, just a great party.
00:20:12
Speaker
But the things that people brought, you guys. I'm going to say our friends, they got some good favorite things. And I have a feeling that's maybe what you wanted to maybe chat about, one of your favorite things that you found. 1,000%. It has become my personality. Like when I tell you it has become my personality, I ride or die for this thing right now. Like I one of the things that I got was the Dior lip oil. Mm-hmm.
00:20:41
Speaker
and I'm not trying to be dramatic here. Like I am trying to be dramatic, but I'm not trying to be dramatic, but it has changed my life. I, I have never had more moisturized lips.
00:20:54
Speaker
Mm. then using this lip oil and you guys i've got to get it i've got to get it you and brit who she also got it she i was with her this weekend and she was like oh my god annie she pulled out of her bag i was like don't i i am now i'm having regrets because you have spoken so highly of it and then she was pulling out of her bag she's like this stuff is the best and i was like you guys damn When I tell you it has become my personality, I had to go down a rabbit hole of, I need to find a dupe.
00:21:27
Speaker
I need to find a dupe because my obsession is getting unreal. um I can't abuse the Dior. Like again, it's Dior. It's $42. So it's nothing super crazy. Like it's not like it's a hundred dollar lip oil or whatever, but I did find a dupe.
00:21:46
Speaker
Is it the same? Here's my my official review, you guys. The dupe is ELF. waiting for this. The ELF, ELF, ELF? I don't know how you it. call it ELF. I don't know.
00:21:57
Speaker
ELF. They have a lip oil. And if you look it up on TikTok, if you look it up on anything, this is the dupe that they give you because the applicator is the same. The color is the same.
00:22:09
Speaker
It feels the same. However... It does not last as long as the Dior one. I feel like the Dior one I could apply in the morning and my I would still have the shine all the way through like two, three o'clock. And that's after eating, drinking. like What? It lasts so long. I'm not kidding. It lasts so long.
00:22:33
Speaker
And the Elf one, I felt like I'm reapp i'm constantly like reapplying like after eating or drinking or like, you know. Yeah, right. Yeah. It has changed my life. It has become personality. The way I have texted so many people to go get this lip oil is unreal.

Dior Lip Oil Dupe and Comparison

00:22:48
Speaker
It has become my personality. I love that though. Like, and you know what? Everyone from the party was like, even at the party, people were like, wait, I want to write that down. Like if they didn't get a gift that they like had like wanted to go for, if people were writing stuff down. People were already having ideas of like what to have. Like I saw some friends the next day and they were like, oh no, I already have a list going of what to have for the next time. So I'm like, I love that our favorite things are like for ourselves.
00:23:15
Speaker
Other people are like, Now this is also my favorite thing. I just, so next party, you know what to bring. I'm going to tell Audrey, she already brought it She can't bring it. You cannot bring it. Now I will, let me find it because I know people are going to ask what it is, but it is the Dior addict lip glow oil.
00:23:36
Speaker
And the color is mahogany. Now I will tell you, it looks dark, It looks like you're about to put on like a dark, like lip gloss on. No, don't trust the color whatsoever. it is literally just enhancing your natural colors of your lips. And do I have it on right now? Actually, I have the elf. I have the dupe on right now. You can't really tell it because I've been drinking. So like, you know, it kind of doesn't last as long. Great dupe though. If you want to like constantly just be reapplying. um And the dupe for the elf
00:24:07
Speaker
If you want to start off, you know, if you don't want to fully invest like lip oil, but also the stickiness. It is not... You know, like lip glosses can be like, yeah I can tell again, it has become my personal I have literally I'm dead. I'm like, this is now this podcast is specifically about Dior. So if you guys don't care about Dior, like, see you later, I guess. No, I'm kidding.
00:24:27
Speaker
No, you no lie. You guys like it wouldn't that tell you like this has become my personality. Like, as proven right now, it has become my personality. But if you do want the to sample the dupe, it is the elf glow reviver lip oil and it's the color.
00:24:44
Speaker
jam session is the exact. So this is not sponsored by Dior. I would love for it to be because the alarming rate I'm using this thing is insane. It would be nice to have like a backup. Yeah. When you run out of that, eventually. Which it sounds like. Yeah. Tomorrow. It'll be tomorrow.
00:25:01
Speaker
Like. At the alarming rate I'm using it, it'll be tomorrow. But yeah, but that's just like one of the things that I've discovered over the break. um I do want to bring up something that has been trending a lot lately. And I'm not saying I started it, but I have been using it since April. So I feel like I need to bring it up. know what this is because it's literally everywhere now. And I'm just like,
00:25:29
Speaker
I could be famous had I just like shared this. I didn't know this thing. didn't know this was going to become a thing. But anyways, that is what the answer, if you were on Jeopardy, the answer would be a vibration plate.
00:25:41
Speaker
You guys, top notch. If you don't have one, get one. Like I know. Add to cart. I know. I can't believe I still don't have one. I i want i know. I need one. It has like the one I've used yours. Like i I can tell it's doing something. You know I'm saying? I can tell it's doing something.
00:25:59
Speaker
And it is and people are talking about like, oh, it's just like another fad. Is this another, no this, that, I can't even name the things like, um yes, walking pad. And they like name all these different things. I'm like like, I get, I get where that idea is, but there are like,
00:26:18
Speaker
I mean, there are results with it, you know, like it is so crazy. So I, again, I don't know why I still have not like just like bought one, but now they're so popular. They're like, they're sold out a lot on Amazon. Yeah.
00:26:31
Speaker
Yeah, they've been kind of like, yeah yeah it has literally like gone viral. Like it has gone, like who would have thought a vibration plate would have gone viral? I, okay, I will tell you how I started, how I saw mine. I had learned about lymphatic drainage. I had seen that there are now people that you can go and they will actually manually like give you a lymphatic drainage massage. And I was like, you know what i'm kind of interested in that, you know, after learning about Whole30 and, you know, inflammation and foods like,
00:26:59
Speaker
you know, bloating all those, all the I started looking into lymphatic drainage and I was like, wow, I didn't realize like all the benefits that that brings. Like, and then I don't remember who it was. i think it was like a random influencer.
00:27:13
Speaker
i was like looking through stories, you know, like when you just like click through all the stories and like it caught my attention. They were like, oh, like my chiropractor, i don't remember who it was. Someone recommended me to get this for after sessions of B, C, and D for lymphatic drainage. And i was like, huh, okay. My birthday was coming up. I wasn't going to invest in myself. Let's be honest. I want someone else to buy it for me. So right I asked for my birthday for that. And I mean, you remember, I literally texted you and our best friend, Allie, and I was like, you guys need to get this. And I instantly sent a video. I was like obsessed with it. I loved the way I feel afterwards before. It's crazy.
00:27:53
Speaker
It's insane. The muscle recovery after my workouts because I use this is crazy. Like it truly does help with my muscle recovery. I do it before my workout. Sometimes I do it after my workout. Sometimes, um, you know, you don't want to do it. You don't abuse the power. You only do like anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes a day or twice a day, like once in the morning, once at night. But I love it.
00:28:18
Speaker
I've had, I shared um, Instagram, a video of like some exercises that I do, but now I've educated myself even more. And now I see the benefits of, cause you can do like actual lymphatic drain, like exercises.
00:28:35
Speaker
So anyways, that's my other discovery that I had that I wanted to share. And my last discovery. my last discovery is a recent one because this is also becoming popular. So you've heard it here first. Yeah. You heard it here first folks.
00:28:51
Speaker
You've heard it here first is, um, how do I wear this? Is it called? don't want to butcher the way it's called. I think it is clear protein is what it's called.

Exploring Clear Protein Trend

00:29:03
Speaker
So instead of like, using whey protein in like a shake with milk or almond milk or whatever. I'm dead. I hear is that Doak in the background? Oh my gosh. Clicking around.
00:29:15
Speaker
Doak is in here. He like measled his way in the room. and I just said Nicole at all because if someone is listening and doesn't know like what these clackies are, it's in just like deep, deep, deep, deep. It's literally Doug Frey readjusting himself so he can lay on his belly on the ground. Yes. So funny. Okay. Please continue by the clear protein.
00:29:33
Speaker
Anyway, so instead of it being like in a protein, you put it in a protein shake with like fruits, veggies, some almond milk, and it's more like creamy vibe, the clear protein is more of like a juice vibe, if you will. So I've started drinking the Array, which I know you know this brand because you've seen this brand. This brand is very popular. and They still are in Target now, but it's A-R-R-A-E, Array. um The Clear Protein Raspberry Yuzu.
00:30:05
Speaker
So good. What do you put it in? Water. It's clear protein. It tastes like juice. Love that. But the beauty about the Array one is it it also has electrolytes in it.
00:30:18
Speaker
It's got protein and it also has collagen. So it's like a triple. my gosh. When did you start using it? Have you seen any results? Or did you just start using it? Very fresh.
00:30:29
Speaker
okay just Okay. We'll report that. Very fresh user. Report back. Yeah, correct. I'm currently strictly just reporting on um how it tastes, which is good. So... You know what? We thought we love something. You listen, we love something that tastes good. we I'm all for it. I'm all for it. Anyways, what discoveries have you made? Please. Like, I feel like I've been just chatting it off and all the discoveries. Well, rude to put me on the spot because... it's Tell us about what you got. I will say, I didn't want to say, like oh, well, my favorite things. um But I got the hair mask from you, the Divi hair mask, which i I've used a hair mask maybe like a handful of times. I've got a lot of hair, you guys. a lot There's a lot happening here.
00:31:12
Speaker
um So soft. So soft. I was kind of like... skeptical at first. So i was like, I don't know, like, what if it doesn't, what it's not as like this soft and shiny and as wonderful as I'm hoping. And it was, it was amazing. And I'm so happy with it. um So I've discovered that, but Jamina discovered it first. So here we are. that was my everything thing i bought well i don't have luscious hair like you. So if it could work on my 87 strands of hair, i knew people with luscious hair would love it because I'm like, love it this is only going to make their hair more like
00:31:47
Speaker
a Pantene commercial. Yes. Yeah. So Divi, if you're looking for a hair model, I'm your girl, except I am getting a haircut in March, but anywho. And then have someone to contact me. Yeah. Yeah. And then i got the- Primally Pure Antioxidant Balm, which is amazing. The smell is so... You know those smells where you're like, oh, that's clean. That's just a clean smell.
00:32:15
Speaker
um i love it. Again, it's a new use like usage for me. So I can't say like it has been like the best thing ever because I don't know yet. um But I am liking it so far. And then I got the Ole Henriksen Lip Balm, which I love. I really like that brand. So...
00:32:32
Speaker
I was like, that's mine. I'm i'm taking that one so You're coming home with me. You're coming you're coming home with me. so and then now my new discovery is this free and is this wine. The wine. know. I'm so impressed. I am so impressed. I can't stop drinking it because it's so good.
00:32:48
Speaker
I will say we have been trying to Well, we'll start over again in this season, but like we really were trying to put our best foot forward on TikTok on our wine mama TikTok. I have been doing a lot of TikTok because it's such a fun, creative outlet. So and will say that's like a new thing too, is we did start last season really trying to do more on TikTok, doing like our videos, obviously, but also more like trending, like videos and sounds and things like that. It's really hard because if you guys don't know us, I live in Tampa and Jamina lives in just outside of Orlando. So we don't live near each other. So doing things together.
00:33:29
Speaker
is very hard and then when we are together it's pretty much centralized around whatever our kids are doing or an activity for them so like videoing stuff it's like that's that's you think you're gonna video content together that's funny right we just need like a weekend getaway yeah to just do content Could you imagine if we had weekend getaway and we literally were just like scheduled out like all of our content, like did like this like keep pop poop just like popped around like making whatever videos? like i just
00:34:03
Speaker
I can't even imagine how that would look. But then again, i know it would take 18 hours because one, me, I can't get it together. like I giggle and then I forget my lines. and Anyways, there's lots of frustration from HR, which is valid, very valid, because i get annoyed with myself at the fact that I can't remember once one line or like I can't capture the beat of something.
00:34:27
Speaker
But anyways, that's beside the point. It would just take us like, I think we would, I don't think a weekend would be, would suffice, perhaps a week. Yeah, perhaps a week to really get it, um you know, get the audio down, get the um the words down of whatever we're doing. But but yeah, all that to say is, you know, that's something new that we've been doing is really trying to get on the tick tock game, because let's be honest, like it's not going anywhere, right? Like it's.
00:34:52
Speaker
I fought it for a very long time. And now that I'm personally on it, I'm like, man, I love just being creative. I love watching these videos because it's Instagram is so much of like friends and family and,
00:35:05
Speaker
or like, I don't know, like big influences that you follow. Whereas TikTok, it's like, you never know who's going to show up on your For You page. Like, I love that side of it. It's like you don't know who's going to see your stuff. Like, probably your friends if they're like engaging with your stuff. But like, a lot of it is just like random new people. So I find it so just like...
00:35:24
Speaker
creatively fun. And so we've really been trying to step up our Wine Mama TikTok. So do you want to follow us on there? little and every a little plug. Well, I mean, literally, I guess that's big news too, of things that I've been up to. i officially, I do not have a personal TikTok, but I do officially have the TikTok app on my phone. that I'm just under...
00:35:47
Speaker
Why mama? So I'm learning the TikTok world because y'all there's, there's a lot going on there. there's there's like i feel like have you ever watched wreck it ralph breaks the internet yes like walk into the internet and all the pop-ups just like yeah walking in front of him that's really how i feel when i go on tiktok so like i'm just like terrified i'm gonna press the wrong yeah click going to tiktok tiktok shop and like buy like like buy something robes or something yeah or like send something on accident because there's like so many little things on the side there's stuff on the top like so i'm i'm new that's why i don't i have not yet created like my own i'm just like under wine mama we're testing the waters here just test them out test them out water so maybe that's one of your goals i know you said you had goals to talk about but maybe that's one of your goals this year is to
00:36:41
Speaker
make your um yeah learn and make your own personal and talk okay okay um am i pushing too much that's gonna be like the 2027 goal like let's just learn the realm of tiktok and still very much on my instagram real vibe you know i'm with you yes i know you are the reels girly so but no but you know what i maybe i should put that under my goals list i did start a goals list um Mainly because I've seen you know i've seen like the joking one that's like, oh, I survived my 2025

Setting Realistic Goals for 2026

00:37:14
Speaker
goals. And it's like, stay alive, keep baby alive. you know It's like two silly things. And I was like, you know what?
00:37:21
Speaker
some goals for myself. Like I, we've talked about this in the past. Like we don't really believe in resolutions. We think that sets you up for failure because then you're just like, okay, I didn't do that. Like I suck. Like now I'm disappointed like in myself. So I decided to kind switch it up and be like, let me just set up ah goals that i maybe I know are attainable. Um, and one of them is read one book a month.
00:37:45
Speaker
So one book a month. You know how bad I am at reading books because I literally will just... I know. That's why I'm really freaking concerned that that's a goal of yours, Jameena.
00:37:58
Speaker
I know. All the readers right now are like rolling their eyes. But I'm happy to like say it is January 18th and I've already finished my first book and I'm moving on my next one. So...
00:38:12
Speaker
So which book? Okay. Which book? we I don't want to, i don't want to prolong this podcast, you know, but which book is it? Which book? So it was a book for our book club. Um, and it's called first time caller and it is by, who is it by b is starts with a Why can't I think of, but it's called first time color. It is, it's very cutesy, like romance book. Um,
00:38:38
Speaker
it there are some spicy chapters um towards towards the end we love it in case anybody reads it and they're like what but no but it's very cute it's by bk borison it's called first time caller very very cute little romance book a little spice few chapters nice we love that but here's my thing that's read I had, um, their audible had a deal. So I did an audible on this book and.
00:39:10
Speaker
With this book? I've never done that. I've never done that. I don't if can. That's I'm discuss because I have never done that either because you guys, I'm the type that gets very uncomfy, like watching like a love scene on, in a movie theater or even like on TV. Like I, I just get uncomfy. I'm just like, this is like, we know what's going to happen. Like, why do we have to watch it?
00:39:31
Speaker
So how do people do spicy books on Audible? Because when I tell you, can read it. I can read it because then I'm in the privacy of me and my thoughts in the book, right?
00:39:42
Speaker
But when when someone is someone is saying these words in your yes i ah when you're driving in car line, when you're at a stoplight, how can you compose yourself? Like, how are you just sitting there at the red light being, I wish this light would turn red or turn green. And it's like, and then I pulled out his, you know, like, whoa. Right. My gosh. What'd you pull out? Yeah.
00:40:10
Speaker
Raunchy things are being said. And you are just like waiting car, like I said, in car line or wherever you may be like pumping gas. I don't know where you are. Anyways, I don't know how will do spicy. i I probably will not be doing a spicy book. I think I'm going to keep Audible for motivational speakers and mentories and memoirs and We're going keep the spice. Yeah.
00:40:34
Speaker
Those are, that's eyes. Eyes only. waiting no. my Private. Yes. I'm happy. Yes. One book a month is my goal. That means I need to read 12 books this year. So I need everyone to hold me accountable. um i will hold you accountable to that because that's, you can do 12. You can do 12. Yeah, that's my minimum, of course, you know, like, because if I meet my minimum, then I'm happy that I survived, you know? do it. You can do it.
00:41:00
Speaker
It's a book a month, basically, you know? so You can you can do that. I set a high book goal for me last year because I met it the year before i was like, I can do it. And then like like this 2025, I just kind of fell off.
00:41:11
Speaker
Um, so I'm not going to set that high of a goal. I'm just going to read at my leisure and we'll see where it goes. Well, have you read anything recent that you'd like to share with us? It can be smutty. It's okay.
00:41:23
Speaker
Um, I read Brimstone, which if you are a um, romantic fantasy reader, you know, Brimstone is the second book in the Quicksilver. I forget. I think it's Fae and Alchemy series, but Quicksilver, you've probably heard of Quicksilver. I've heard of Quicksilver's on my list to read, not on Audible.
00:41:41
Speaker
Not Audible. No. It's on my list to read. so that It's very good. And I think this the third book comes out this fall and it's the final book of the series. But she she was just like a no i she was like a nobody author.
00:41:58
Speaker
Published Quicksilver last year. It went like cuckoo. like yeah cuckoo viral and so brimstone was like very as the anticipated like read coming out so um it was very good so i just finished brimstone and now i'm on to whatever i'm going to next which will be don't i have a lot of options so We'll see. But you're also basically, would you say it was good enough? So now we're excited about the third book coming out? Oh my God. I can't wait.
00:42:25
Speaker
i can't wait. Yeah. I love, I loved both of them. I thought they were really good. i think, you know, people always, I just, it's Callie Hart just to Callie Hart. Yes. By Callie Hart. Yeah. um And I think the books that she, like the covers of them are so beautiful of the hardbacks. I do a lot of Kindle reading. All of my reading is on my Kindle. I don't buy like physical books that often, but I'm like, that's a physical book I would like to own. you want to sell But yes, would recommend. And yeah, would recommend. and do Okay. The spice in there is...
00:42:58
Speaker
It's spice. It's good. I've heard it's good. So that's why I'm like, ah no, that's going to be a Kindle download, not an Audible. um But yeah, look at us just being book girly. You're definitely more of a book girly than I am. I like, I'm just not, you guys, because the by the time I have time to sit down and read a book at the end of the day, i but that's why i like my Kindle because at least the light keeps me awake. But when I'm holding an actual book,
00:43:25
Speaker
i like I end up falling asleep every time. i'll be like I'll get maybe one to two chapters deep and then I'll fall asleep and then I'm like, well, crap. What page was I on? like what I know. I know i i'm i well have fallen asleep listening to a book before and then I've woken up like an hour later and I'm like, wait, what the what the hell happened? I don't know. And then I have to go back. But... um Yeah, well, it's hard because you also have like, there's so many great shows and we're not going to talk about any shows or TV right now. We're doing pop culture next week. So you guys have to tune in for episode two, but there's so many good shows. Like, well, there's always good shows, like ah including like reality TV, but there's so much good stuff out right now where it's like, you kind of have to pick on some nights and then you get hooked on a TV show and you're like, okay, well hey I'm watching that for until I'm done with it.
00:44:07
Speaker
So it's hard. It is. that's, that's kind of where I was this year. is I kind of like fluctuated between both. So, um okay. What are some of your other goals? So I'm feeling very ambitious again, everyone has to hold me accountable for this, but back in 2015, Annie and I ran and it was probably one of the most proud, like proud, proud, prideful, most proud,

Reflecting on Marathon Memories

00:44:34
Speaker
I don't know. You know, I was happy with it. I'm like, I'm trying to think of the word proud. One of the most, most proud moments. One of my, yeah. One of our most proud moments because it was just, it takes a lot of discipline to train for one. it takes a lot of courage to do one and it takes a lot of strength to finish one. So, wow. Put that in a bumper sticker. my God. Look at her. You guys don't trademark that. We're trademarking it. Go away. right You can't have that. away That's ours. It's like,
00:45:04
Speaker
i went down this rabbit hole a couple, I think it was maybe like a year or two ago where I wanted to find our time. i didn't, I couldn't remember. i didn't write it down anywhere. And I know when like people do these things, they're like, oh, time. Yeah. Like this is what I did it in. So anyways, never found it. I gave up on it and I was like, F it. Like, I guess we'll just never know our time. Like we did it and that's all that matters. We have pictures of proof that we did it. We have the medal. Um,
00:45:32
Speaker
But it, that spark resurfaced and it it resurfaced after I watched all the videos from the New York city marathon last year. And I was just like, like seeing these people across the finish line, hearing their stories of their training, yeah um seeing the people that who just walked it, like, yeah, just, it's so inspiring.
00:45:53
Speaker
like it just pulled at my heartstrings and i was like, you know what? Like, I remember what it felt. I remember when we crossed that finish line. I remember it every day that we trained. I remember how proud I was of how long I could run and and not need to stop. So it built that spark in me. So here I go down the rabbit hole again. like,
00:46:11
Speaker
Let me find our time. And I found it. And I was like, you know what? i think I want to do it. I think I want to sign up for another one. and want to do the it a different one. with The one we did was the Disney Princess Half Marathon. And it was so fun. Disney, I mean, it's not cheap, but like they really do put on quite a production to make it fun for you. They do. They do a really, really good job. And that's why their races are so, I mean, if you go to sign up, you have to do it the day of. And the the moment that it gets released, like you, it, and that's why is because, well, one, of course it's Disney, of course, but everything they do is pretty, really well done. um
00:46:47
Speaker
So if you want to do it, it's like, you gotta, you gotta get on it. You've got to be on your toes. And the one that I want to specifically do sells out within seconds. Like it is the Wine and Dine. It is one of their most popular runs specifically because it's in October. you know, weather is a little bit better. It's Wine and Dine. I mean, at this point, why yeah Please sponsor me. Like, yeah hello.
00:47:12
Speaker
Like I got to know someone at that podcast. Could you imagine um yeah i mean it's literally our our entire thread but anyway so i've decided that's gonna be one of my goals the more i've like simmered on it the more i'm like cautious of this goal though because i'm like you know i'm not as young as i used to be 15 sometimes my knees do click a little a lottle right now.
00:47:41
Speaker
And I'm like, maybe I need to like give it a test run. And I was, you know, me and Annie were talking off air and I was telling I was like, you know, i physically, I'm in really good shape right now. I've been working very hard since July, end of July, just get to my optimal, like, I want to see my goal weight. I want this year, that's also all my goals. I want to see my goal and and I want to stay at my goal weight.
00:48:03
Speaker
And I just want to be strong. Like I want to have my strength. Yeah. And I've noticed that I've grown. not Let me humble brag about myself real quick. But I've seen the muscle definition that I've built. So I'm like, what happens if I like start training for this thing and I bust a knee and then I can never like now I go through rehab to try to like get to where I need to be, you know? So, I don't know. i I still want to do it. I still have the spark to want to do it. And it's honestly just going to come down if I can get into the race or not because it's just so competitive. Well, that's what will kickstart you, right? Like, is if you actually get in, it's okay. Now I've signed up for it. Now I've paid for, like, it's not cheap to run the Disney races. like
00:48:44
Speaker
Now I've paid for this. So, now it's like. It's go time. So my goal in regards to working out is like just to continue the like path that I have been on. Like I have like some back issues, hip issue. Like I have, I have issues. Um, so just to kind of continue, I got issues. You got them too. I don't know. Do you? Because I, I got some issues. Um, I do. Um,
00:49:07
Speaker
But my goal is like to just like continue. like I didn't want to be like, oh, okay, start working out more. or like I don't want to do anything around like how much I'm weighing. like I don't care about my weight. I care about how I feel and like but muscle. kind of like I use like that muscle definition. so Mine is just to continue the like workout path that I have been on just because... like It makes you feel so good, right? To like leave a workout. like man Like I feel stronger. I feel better. So um the man, if I can maybe do like a little five, maybe I'll do a little 5K, maybe a 5K walk. No, I'm kidding. I think a job is like that.
00:49:44
Speaker
I need to like maybe do a 5K within the next month or so. Make sure like it's possible. i'll come Come on over to the Gasparilla. Gasparilla race is in is in February. And speaking of Gasparilla, kids Gasparilla is this weekend. So it is that time in Tampa that is so fun. Like it's just it is this is the best time of year in Tampa because All the pirate stuff is out and it just like, it's so cool to drive around and see like the pirate flags and the, the wreaths and like the skeletons in the front yard. Like I truly just like thrive at this time of year because I'm like, this is so like, this is so unique. It is so niche and it is so unique to Tampa that it's like, I want to say like I don't want to compare it to Mardi Gras in New Orleans because Mardi Gras New Orleans is like, it is its own animal. Yeah. Yeah.
00:50:33
Speaker
But it is like it's a cool it's a really cool time to be in Tampa right now. So, yeah, kids Gasparilla. And then the following weekend is adults Gasparilla. So, yeah. Very excited about that. but Yes, the the race is probably, I think it's mid-February.
00:50:48
Speaker
It's after all that, right? It's after all that, yeah. No, Gasparilla season. like we You say Gasparilla, but like there's a Gasparilla Music Festival. There's a Gasparilla race. Gasparilla isn't just the two parades. like There's a night parade in February. like month.
00:51:01
Speaker
Yeah, Gasparilla runs for like a really long time. um so Oh, perhaps. Maybe we need to look into that. maybe so Maybe that's the dabble.
00:51:12
Speaker
Okay, dabble. I will have a little sign for you. I'll have some like water to squirt Oh, thought you were going to do with me. Oh, no. I need some time. I need some time. need further time. Well, I mean, yeah. So would I. I'm not saying I'm prepared to run like that.
00:51:26
Speaker
that far. I'm not ready right now. I'm not ready right now. I'm just saying the spark is there. Okay. that's That's all I'm putting out there in the universe is that the spark is there. The spark is there. Those are just some some of my goals, you know, because...
00:51:41
Speaker
I'm going to try for them. And if I don't make them, it's okay. It's fine. It's fine. year goes on. The year goes on Life goes on. We go on. This podcast will go on. And I mean, obviously, we have had a lot of things going on, a lot of thoughts. like we are it sounds like we are headed like full force into this new year, which is so wonderful. And we're bringing you guys with us. And we have some incredible guests coming on.

Excitement for Upcoming Guests

00:52:08
Speaker
this season and we see it every season um because we do, we really pride ourselves on, the guests that we have and the conversations that we have and then the awareness that we spread depending on like who it is, whether that is, you know, someone speaking to a c cause that's near and dear to their heart, whether it's someone that's teaching us how to travel with kids, whether it's someone that's teaching us about wine, like everyone brings a certain, um, lesson and learning to us. And I think it's so wonderful. And so we really think during the off season, we're like, who,
00:52:42
Speaker
Who are we going to go with next season? Like, what do we want to like, what can we do next season to bring our listeners? Just kind of more knowledge and power, baby. Yeah. Yeah. It's and it's so fun. So we're so excited about who we have this season for you guys. so definitely, definitely stay tuned.
00:53:01
Speaker

We love amazing people. Yeah. you Come shoot the shit with us. We love that too. Yeah. We have like, we have people who are like business owners on, we have like, again, wine psalms on who teach us about wines, things that we didn't know. We have moms on, like we have, ah we have a lot of moms on. Well, all them are moms. What am I saying?
00:53:31
Speaker
What am I saying? Everyone's a mom. Everyone's a mom. Everyone's a mom. Um, but even if you're not, you know, I, yeah, we are, I'd love that if someone was like, Hey, I think this cause we do, we'll get a few people, um, pitching to us and we've had them on and it's been so wonderful. So, um, don't ever feel too shy to come to us with an idea. we are, we're very open. Jamina came to me with an idea. How many years ago now?
00:54:00
Speaker
Three, three, three years ago now. No, my idea was probably like four years ago. Oh, yeah. Your idea was four years ago. And i was like, no one would ever Like, when would I talk that much? Seven seasons in, baby. We're still talking that much. Yeah. You know what's also funny? Like, even if you, like, want to come on and just tell us about, like, your work gossip, like, I'm down.
00:54:20
Speaker
Like, tell us what Susie and John did behind closed doors. Oh, my God. Yes. We'll totally trash talk with you. Yes. And, of course, we'll be on your side and your perspective. But, like Yeah. Even if you want to come in with those like microphone, like the ones that are like this and you want to be like in the dark. If you want to be in the dark, that's fine.
00:54:41
Speaker
I'll take it. We'll change it. I'll take it all day. I'll take it all day. We we we can give you an alias. That would be so juicy. How fun and juicy would that be? Like if you have good gossip from work. Yes. Come on the podcast and tell us about it. Yeah. It can be like Wine Mama After Dark.
00:54:59
Speaker
The Secrets. Could you imagine? It's like um the Secret Life of the Marvel Universe, What's what she called? She calls it Sinner Sunday. Yes, Sinner Sunday. And people like, I mean, literally tell her the deepest, darkest like things. It's like, whoa, you guys good?
00:55:16
Speaker
yeah Is everyone okay? everyone okay? Let's start off the year with that. like Is everyone okay? If you're not okay, please- Come to us Come whine about it. Also, I'm almost done with it. i literally have one sip left, and i'm I'm scared. We have to cork. I'm honestly upset that have one sip left. it's gonna well What should upset you is that, and maybe I'm wrong. I'm going to have pour another glass because i just love it so much.
00:55:40
Speaker
um What should upset you is that this is going be my highest rated cork of the season. 9.9. Yeah. 9.99999. Endless like pie, but endless nines. Yeah. Endless nines. No, kidding. But this is really, really good. I we had i think it was two seasons ago where we were like, we had some really bad wines. like We've had some...
00:56:04
Speaker
like truly shit wines you guys. So send us a recommendation as well. To have this. Yeah. We're happy. We are happy to take a recommendation, but to have this as like a panic wine of like, Oh shoot. We were going to ABC for a specific wine. ABC was closed.
00:56:19
Speaker
agree. This was like a a Greg was FaceTiming me because he ran to get a specific wine. and I'm like, well just go to ABC, go to Publix and FaceTime me. He FaceTimed me. It's like blurry in there. Cause he has in the middle of the store.
00:56:31
Speaker
right And I'm like, I think that like that sounds kind of cool. Like earthquake, the bottle looked like vibey. It just looked cool. The vibes are The vibes are arriving. Okay, do you know what you're corking at?
00:56:43
Speaker
Are you ready to cork? Did I cut you off? I'm ready to cork. Okay. As a reminder, we're drinking the Earthquake Cabernet Sauvignon. Sauvignon. It tastes like, if you remember the tasting notes from the beginning, we've got some raspberry creme brulee, a buttery croissant. Honestly, all delicious things. it's surprise It's very dark, so it's a little scary to look at when you first pour it, but it's honestly really
00:57:10
Speaker
It's so good. I am like, I am. Yeah. It's going to be a high cork for both. It's going to be a high cork. And I'm about to ah literally going to pour. I wish I had the bottle in here, um but I'm going to go pour another glass after this because listen, listen. So if you, if you have a cork set in mind, go ahead. I'm going to finish my final set and probably also pour another glass.
00:57:33
Speaker
Okay.
00:57:36
Speaker
It's a really high cork. It's like a really high cork, you guys. i don't know if I've ever I don't know my corkings. i agree Okay. I mean, mine's high, but like I feel like now it's high. nine nine like no No, It's a 9-2. Oh, up okay.
00:57:55
Speaker
It's a 9-2. Mine was a 9-1. Okay. I almost went 9-1. I'm like, no, I got to bump her up a little no more. Mine was a 9-1. I started off with like a 9. I'm like, that first sip, I was like, as is this a 9? Like Is this a nine?
00:58:10
Speaker
And the first one I drank out, that's when I was like, okay, I gotta bump her up a little more because she's a nine, but she's just giving that she's giving more than that, you know? You guys, if I had had two of these glasses on this episode, would a two-hour episode.
00:58:23
Speaker
Wait, what did, which we can talk about this in pop culture next week, but what did JoJo and I say? being bong wo or something like that being Bing bong bong b i would be you would be bingbaing ding bong that would be me because this is so wonderful nine two and and nine one if you guys are not running to the store to get this i'm not kidding you yeah And i don't think we mentioned, but price is pretty pretty reasonably affordable. and like We did not. publix
00:58:55
Speaker
Yes, thank you. It's 22 to to depending where you get it, of course. Yeah. So whenever we look for wines to try, we try to keep them around $30 and under just so it's very obtainable and cost effective for everyone, right? Like we love, you know, a little more extensive wine, sure. But I feel like that $30 price point, you can still get like pretty decent wines. And this is a great, great, great example of that.
00:59:27
Speaker
Great example. Yeah. All right. As we're going into steve season six, seven, do you have do you have any final thoughts on what's to come for the season?
00:59:41
Speaker
Final thoughts of what's to come. Obviously, more giggles per usual, the norm. um More opinions per usual, the norm. But you know what? Like I mentioned earlier, like no one else's opinion, but ours matters. So, you know.
00:59:56
Speaker
I digress. Um, you know, I'm just looking forward for another season of fun. And also I'm looking forward to another season of just like guests enlightening my life with knowledge or quotes or just like anything that my brain cannot compute because to this day, I still quote many of our guests. Like they have taught us so much. So much. i hope They have taught our listeners things that they've never known or heard or whatever, maybe, um, and encourage them as well. Um, so i'm looking very much forward to that. I think that's going to be, that's always such a fun part of recording. What about you? Tell us your thoughts going into season six, seven.
01:00:41
Speaker
Six, seven. um I am very much the same. i love... i It's so fun. you guys get like the recorded episode with our guests, but we talk to them for a while before. We have the email correspondence like well before that. And then when we get on, we talk to them for a bit before. and then we chat with them after. So it truly is like we have made friends throughout this experience. And it's so wonderful. So I feel the same. like I love bringing...
01:01:10
Speaker
these these people on these experiences they've had to to you all to listen to. So yeah, I'm very excited. There are i don't know, everyone that we have so far this season, I'm just like, I can't, I can't wait for everyone to hear. So, um, yeah, the, the guests, and then this is so like just doing this episode, I'm like, it's just so therapeutic for me. And for you, I know that we've talked with this all the time. Like this is, we text every single day, day you guys, if you don't know us, like we've,
01:01:40
Speaker
we're best friendsmen friends. We've been best friends for years and years and years. um And we text every day, but for it to like sit down and like chat and just like get it all out on the mic is so fun. So I feel just like, I'm like, yeah, this feels really good. Like being back and like, ah. It's so spiritual. It is It's so fun. And like this, is if you were to see us in person, like take the mic away, take everything away. Like this is the same exact conversation that we would be having in person with probably a lot more curse words, at least on my, at least on my end, um you know, but like this is the same conversation we'd be having um off, off of the podcast. So I'm excited about this portion of it as well. Like lucky number seven, I'm feeling really good.
01:02:28
Speaker
Lucky number seven. Lucky number seven. Angel's number.
