Introduction and Podcast Rituals

00:00:00
Speaker
Welcome to Wine Mama, a podcast where two bestie moms whine while they whine. I'm Jemina. And I'm Annie. Let's whine. And I am so proud of you for doing that after this many seasons without looking at our notes. I don't know why we feel like we have to read it verbatim every time. Like we don't know what our intro is.
00:00:21
Speaker
ah because we sometimes we don't know it. We just pause and stare at each other. And we're like, oh, wait, I was supposed to speak at that point. And I think it's just so funny how we have to read it every time. But I was feeling like a dangerous girlie. So I was like, I think I'm going to do it without reading it today. And nailed it.
00:00:37
Speaker
Nailed it. Living life on the edge. um I mean, we have both forgotten to mention our names before. Like, so it's we sometimes um struggle, but hey, long time no see. Long time no see. Annie literally left my house a couple of hours ago. So that's where we're at, you guys. So you should know that because of that small fact I just provided that we're exhausted.
00:01:03
Speaker
exhausted exhausted we well I'm not gonna get into everything but everything we did and our activities and all this stuff but um yeah we're we're pretty tired and we are kind of we always record you guys know like after bedtime typically and we're recording like semi in the middle of the day like middle of the afternoon I guess you could say and it feels weird to record the middle of the afternoon yeah it feels weird Why is the sun up? Why am I, why do I hear my children's footsteps upstairs? Like you're supposed to be in This is my chill time.
00:01:36
Speaker
Yeah. This is to be me time. Yeah. Like what? That's how I'm feeling. So, um, so yeah, but I feel like with all of this, we're kind of throwing ourselves for a

Wine of the Week: Prosecco Rose

00:01:47
Speaker
loop. Um, do you want to go ahead and wine with our wine of the week?
00:01:51
Speaker
I'm ready to wine with wine of the week. that You can tell by my disheveled looked that I'm ready to wine with wine of the week. She's ready to whine and whine. So this week we are drinking the collection and Prosecco Rose. So we have a little bubbly Rose going on. oh beautiful. Yes. Thank you for showing that. So we use, we we have the smaller bottles because you guys know we typically always get these big bottles of wine like the normal size bottle of wine and it's a lot to drink. and were also Not interrupt, but we were also burned last week and had to waste like an entire bottle. So we went mini this round.
00:02:28
Speaker
Yeah. And you can't really go like, it's one glass. It's one glass. You're good. i will say um mine wasn't that bubbly. So I'm a little concerned on the state of it. Yours was pretty bubbly. I saw you pour yours in. Yours is pretty bubbly as it should be. um So I'm just a little little concerned about how mine is going to taste.
00:02:52
Speaker
ah Yours is in like a pretty glass. It is. so i thought I wanted to have a little fun. love it. Yeah, I know. Mine's an actual glass and not like a tumbler version. I'm feeling very risky because not only am i next to a bunch of electronics, I'm in a very no pun intended closet of space and that has many times and I'm not trusted anymore. If you're new around here, I'm not trusted in my recording space with an open container. i have burned the carpet below me.
00:03:24
Speaker
things that Things have happened here. So you're being an extra dangerous girly today first, not even reading. Oh, she's crazy, Crazy. I'm just really living on the edge today. Just really felt like I needed to bring a spark.
00:03:36
Speaker
Living on the edge. So let's see if we're going be living on the edge with this little Prosecco Rosé. So the collection combines the best of carefully harvested grapes and perfectly balanced wine, bringing together a delicate compilation of pure winemaking artistry. That sounds like frou-frou, foo-foo, la-la-la. La-la-la. Yeah. We should probably preface that. We tried to research this, and we, like...
00:04:06
Speaker
couldn't find like a vineyard or anything so this is clearly a collection of something but there's like nothing on the bottle that guided us to where and you would be shocked but the internet is not interneting today and did not also guide us Yeah. Yeah. So like we know where the grapes, like it's an Italian wine. The grapes come from Italy. We know what kind of grapes. So we were kind of at like a little lost lost in the dark here trying to get some information about this specific wine.
00:04:37
Speaker
So we're going to give you everything that we were able to find. So... With the collection sparkling Prosecco Rose wine, it offers refreshing flavors of red berries, ripe peach, and rose petals with elegant acidity for a crisp, refreshing finish. It does pair beautifully with f fried calamari, cheese, and cured meats.
00:04:56

Speaker
glass. What's a coupe glass? A coupe glass is kind of like I think it's kind of like a martini-looking glass. Not a martini. Like a cocktail type of el glass. Yes.
00:05:12
Speaker
Okay. But anyways, it's a perfect, it's perfect to make any occasion sparkle. And I will say like, it is a very cutesy little label, very girly vibes. Like it would be cute. Um, like for a Galentine's or like a girl's night thing, just because it is, it's a pink, purple, like very aesthetically pleasing to look at.
00:05:30
Speaker
Yeah, it is. It is. um So hopefully it's pleasing to drink because we both poured the entire bottle into our into our glasses. So we're going to see how it goes. There's two varietals in this wine. 90% of the wine is the Galera varietal. And then the rest of it is made up of Pinot Noir grapes. So we all we all know and love Pinot Noir. Um, again, we got the small bottle that's five or $6. And then you can also get like their typical size, Prosecco, champagne, sparkling wine bottle, uh, anywhere between 14 and $17. So very, very reasonably priced with that.
00:06:12
Speaker
Let's wine. Let's cheers. Let's cheers to this and, um, hope it's good. Mine's not super bubbly. Hope it's good. Do you not, you don't see any bubbles rising? I see like a few here and there, but not like the like steady. I think there's usually a steady flow, right? Like a steady little extreme. Yeah. Mine's a steady flow.
00:06:30
Speaker
Yeah. boy i felt like Oh boy. oh boy. There's expired. I don't know. Target, it better not have. By the way, I just want to follow up on the wine from last week. After we recorded, like we kind of chatted about it. And like you know how we were trying to figure out a word to describe the wine and we just couldn't figure it out. We just kept calling it like Witch's Brew Vibe. We decided it's expir it was expired wine. not that We decided that that's what expired wine would taste like.
00:06:57
Speaker
We both got bottles of expired wine and you should not. gas yeah Just wanted to follow up on that. High hopes for this Prosecco. Cheers. Cheers.
00:07:13
Speaker
Things aren't looking well for me.
00:07:18
Speaker
Things are not well over here. I'm going to say, i ah it's not horrible. Must be nice. Something's wrong with mine. my i was going to say mine is bubbly though. So like a little biased. I honestly, I don't know if I'll drink it to be honest with you.
00:07:33
Speaker
And we, I mean, we were together. We had like a little, like one of your friends had a Galentine's when we were together and I went with you. We, this is what, basically what we had, just another brand. We had the LaMarca, like Prosecco Rose, same exact thing. And i had a great time with that. Yeah, it was great.
00:07:50
Speaker
I wonder if it's because it's like flat. Yours is maybe a little flat. wonder if it's because it's flat. And like, you know that like the bubbly that you're supposed to get with it, like that's not there for me. It's like not great. Yeah, like mine's like fizzy in my Yeah. No. I don't want to pop rock say it. Yes. No. It's giving the bubbly rosé.
00:08:07
Speaker
So, Annie got the flat version because No, this isn't even flat because I like a flat you know I love a flat rosé. was going to say, but you know, to reference back season one when I was unaware that there was flat and bubbly rosé. Yeah.
00:08:20
Speaker
And I got the flat version. I got the flat. You got the right. You got what we were actually supposed to be drinking. Yeah. yeah you got what we were supposed to be drinking. You know what This is just like, this is par for the freaking course for me right now. And no one should be surprised at this. Am I maybe going to probably still sip on it throughout the episode?
00:08:41
Speaker
yeah yeah like i just i just said like i don't know i'm able to drink this but like we don't want to sit there you're like chatting and like a glass is there you're gonna pick it up and like just take a little sip and someone's probably listening and being like ew like your wine obviously is wrong with your wine your wine is flat something's wrong with it don't drink it you guys you guys well what what's there to lose what's there to lose what's gonna happen What's it going to lose? The worst that could happen is Annie's going to have a really nice GI cleanse. And for her work trip, she is going to look freaking fabulous. And that's all we can really all hope for when we're going on a work trip, you know?

Episode Focus: Casual Chats and Life Updates

00:09:19
Speaker
Right. Right.
00:09:20
Speaker
right So, oh my God, we were together this weekend. And also, if you guys can't tell already, we're just, we're just, we're hanging this episode. We're chatting, we're chatting, life updates, kids, family, ourselves, life, everything. um Chatting, like what's up, what's new, what's on our minds, most importantly, because I do have a lot of things on my mind. Oh my God, you're going to die. Look what I just found. And since it's Super Bowl, well, you guys, FYI, we're recording on Sunday and this drops Tuesday. So you guys are going know who the Super Bowl winner is. We don't. But look what I just found sitting here.
00:09:55
Speaker
Oh my gosh. The one, the only. Only. Tortilla. The tortilla Super Bowl host ti ring that you guys got at the um thing last year. So I had to pull it out since it's been it's been a year.
00:10:08
Speaker
The year has gone by. know. It's been a year. Last year this time, I was actually getting ready to go to the Super Bowl. Yeah. It's probably the first and only experience I will ever have at the Super Bowl. um The Eagles won We were rooting for them. They were the underdog. you know um it was their comeback episode, if you will, comeback episode against the Chiefs. And you know what? It was honestly kind of like, don't get me wrong, the Super Bowl experience was like once in a lifetime, like so cool. um But it was also one of those things like you were really wanting a good game last year and it was not that good of a game. Like Travis, where were you? Mahomes was not there either. Like mentally they were not there. Like don't know what was going on So like it wasn't that good of a exciting game to watch. Right. But to like be there and experience, it's like, you know what? Check it off. Like maybe it was maybe it wasn't even like very high up the bucket list, but like now you can add it to the bucket list and check it off.
00:11:05
Speaker
Correct. And like, I honestly, I was also never really like a Kendrick Lamar um fan. Like I knew the one song he had. And that was probably one of the most viral Super Bowl halftime shows that went on like to this day, people are talking about the shade that was thrown, how the entire Superdome said a minor like It was like looking back now, I was like, that's cool that I was there and I got to experience that. Yeah. yeah that That dancer that came out with the Palestine stuff. Like it was just a lot happened. And like to this day, people still talk about it. um
00:11:39
Speaker
But yeah, I'm kind of sad that um we didn't get to record after this because the Super Bowl commercials is where it's at. Wow. There is one that I want to already chat about. um i sent it in the group. I don't know if you have had the chance to see it, but it is the 50 Cent Ford Ash.
00:11:59
Speaker
No, I'll have to look and see. Okay, we're going have to recap next week on all of our thoughts because I love the Super Bowl. unless my team that i like Unless one of my teams is in the Super Bowl, I really don't care, but I'm going to watch it just because like that's just what everybody's doing. We're all watching the Super Bowl, right? But I'm watching for the halftime show and I'm watching for the commercials like 90% of the time.
00:12:22
Speaker
And the snacks. Oh, sure. Sure. and And the snacks, the pizza, the the dips, the buffalo wings. Like, give me all give me all of it. But I am so excited because we're going to have download on not only the ads but Bad Bunny, the halftime show, which I am Yes.
00:12:40
Speaker
I have no I'm so excited. you You know my obsession with him has just, like skyrocketed. Like, it's skyrocketed. I know. Love him. And um as a reminder Because as a Latina human being on this podcast, I would just like to say um Bad Bunny is a U.S. citizen.
00:12:59
Speaker
There's no need to hate on him. My first thing, which is also Spanish, everybody. you probably can't tell because I just don't have an accent. But, like, it's okay to watch him and support him. It really is. Oh, yeah. No, I'm sorry. If there is a hater here that Like you're on the wrong channel. You're on the wrong podcast. We don't. We like to keep. love everybody.
00:13:19
Speaker
We do. We love everyone. We're very open. have opinions about everyone. But we love them. Of course we need have opinions about Everybody has an opinion. like what did i say that one time? What I. You know.
00:13:34
Speaker
Opinions. Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one. Doesn't mean we always want to see it. Hear it. Whatever. i mean not hear it. But.
00:13:46
Speaker
I mean, guess it fits. I mean, I guess it fits. But you know what I'm saying? okay And sometimes we don't share our opinions, but... If the things that I've been seeing, social media is such a hateful place sometimes, you guys. It's so hateful. I've been wanting to take a sip, but now i have so many thoughts about Bad Bunny. is ah It's such a hateful place. And if you are going to hate on someone because you don't understand his language, you think he's U.S. citizen, this or that, it is it it speaks volumes
00:14:24
Speaker
on who you are as a person i don't understand ah don't understand 98 of what he's saying but do i love his music do i love the rhythm yeah at the vibe i love it's just a good time and i mean i would say like i think he's relatively not like some like super super dirty like singer i don't know again i yeah so he's not like Literally one of one of his songs, it's like, I should have given you more kisses and hugs when I had a chance. Like, you know, like he ain't talking about, there's dirtier songs, you guys. Okay. So yeah, no, just feel like we had to put that PSA out because I feel like there's a lot of hate towards the Super Bowl this year and Bad Bunny. And I'm like, I just honestly don't see it. Like it's a performer and it's a US citizen performer. We've had multiple people who were not US citizens perform on the Super Bowl as well. um So it's like, it you guys, let's not let's take the politics out of it. We all know politics makes everyone a little a little um heightened.
00:15:29
Speaker
This is just something fun. Like, it's a concert. Like, let's vibe. Let's just have a good time. Let's just have a good time. Again, i can't under i love i love music. I love singing when I'm working. Like, I have music on my ears. I love singing in the car, singing when I'm working. And so, like, I never listen to him because I like to, like, sing along with my music. And Greg will tell you, like, sometimes he's in his office and can hear me.
00:15:49
Speaker
singing and he's like please annie i'm on calls you have to stop singing where they can hear you but i love singing along to my music so i never really listened to him that much because i don't know the words you know like i can't sing along with it but i'm telling you after we went to puerto rico and it is a like his music is a movement there like it is it like it is a culture that like everyone loves him and so i was listening to we were listening to it all it was everywhere And I'm like, I love this man. i love this music. I, yeah, I said, I texted the friends, that I would text the friends we went with. And I was like, what if we this would never happen? but I was like, what if we flew to Puerto Rico, just for the Super Bowl, just for the half halftime show to watch it in the T-Mobile district, which is like, you know, where they do the New Year's.
00:16:36
Speaker
Yes. Yes. So we went there while we were there. And it's just like, I mean, I'm sure to the Puerto Ricans, I'm sure it's very touristy, but it was just so, it was like so bright, so many restaurants, like the TVs everywhere. It was just like a really cool, like fun environment to be in. So I'm like, I cannot imagine being there and watching the halftime show they Like it would just be the most incredible experience. I was like, who wants to go? And they were all like joking, like can we do. um but i mean i would like so and if we have any puerto rican listeners or anyone who's you know maybe you've come from you live here now but um our puerto rican descent or anyone who listens you know who so list lives in puerto rico like we we can't wait we're just as well not probably not just excited but we are so excited for this i'm so stoked i cannot wait um
00:17:31
Speaker
I'm just so excited. I'm so excited to watch him and see how he performs. um What was I going to say? Okay, well, to get back on like the Super Bowl vibes of it, like who do we think is going to win since we don't know yet?
00:17:43
Speaker
Do we think the Seahawks are going to win or the Patriots? I'm honestly kind of rooting for the Seahawks just because the Patriots always win. I feel like we have so many. i feel like we need to share the love. But I have so many friends who are like actual genuine Patriots fans and I really want them to be happy. They're not like bandwagon Patriots fans. Like they are from up north. Sure. I've been Patriots fans. So I'm like, okay, well, I kind of want you guys to win because like you guys are happy. So I'm buried i'm in a very torn spot.
00:18:10
Speaker
Right. feel I don't know. This one i I'm struggling with. I almost want to say Seahawks, but to your point, I think it was like one of your friends that were like, if you don't like the Patriots, you're against them because it's like you know what I'm saying? It's like it's the same with like the Dallas Cowboys, I feel like. If you don't like them, you're like, oh my God, the Cowboys are again or oh my God, the Patriots again. so I feel like that's kind of like where my mind is. I'm like, all right, let's go Seahawks. Yeah. Like who who are we going for, you guys? Like who are are we going for? And technically, like we both know, like we went to middle school with someone who used to play with for the Seahawks. Yeah. So I think that's kind of cool. Yeah.
00:18:49
Speaker
I actually saw him recently, like a couple years ago, like maybe two or three years ago, and it was so weird and so funny. And He's actually like one of like the nicest guys. He actually is in Tampa area and like there's a lot of like super good um awareness stuff there. And um he was so sweet. He said that I'm pretty sure if i remember correctly. Don't quote me now because it was like one of those nights like when you're in your hometown and you're out drinking. But I'm pretty sure he said he gave. um his Super Bowl ring to his mom because he was with Seahawks when they won. And he gave it to his mom because she was such a huge impact to get him there. And I thought that was the absolute most, oh my gosh, it made me cry. Like, I was just like, oh my gosh, that's so amazing. Like, oh, I couldn't, like, I can't imagine like that yeah doing that and then like giving it to me, you know? Yeah. Yeah.
00:19:38
Speaker
I mean, come on, tears. Like, I mean, I'm sure like the joy of her, like watching his team win, but then to be like given the like the ring that he won i like that's what a guy what a guy what a guy the yeah shout out to him not that i think he listens to us but our friends that know him know him okay um but if he did oh my god but this is okay this has been such a big Weekend for us. like I'm like, okay, we still have the Super Bowl to watch and like you know download in our heads. We just did Disney World with the kids this weekend, which, I mean, if you guys know, like if you've been to Disney World with kids, you know it is a full-fledged... You are in it to win it.
00:20:22
Speaker
We, of course, like you guys have passes. We get the Florida resident passes, so we only have like a handful of days to use. um And so we start... First thing in the morning. We are We're going. but it was Rope drop. Yeah. We're rope dropping. We were actually right after rope drop, was which was lovely because the crowd was gone. And it was it was literal like perfect. We got there like 30 minutes after and it was the most wonderful time. We like pretty much walked right in And the line... the what The weather was insane. The weather was so, so beautiful. And the lines really weren't that bad. I was really worried that people were going to see the kind of day that we were to have. and I mean...
00:21:00
Speaker
If you've ever been to Disney in like the middle of July, it is so miserable. it is like I can't even like put it into words. Like it is so miserable. So to have days like this where you can go and it's like wonderful weather, i for sure thought the lines were going insane. and they really weren't.
00:21:19
Speaker
They really weren't that bad. They honestly were not. And I even texted you because I swear this has happened Every time you guys come. Don't jinx me. Don't jinx me. It's beautiful weather. I'm not. I'm not. I need you to continue to come. Okay.
00:21:32
Speaker
Because it's like beautiful weather. The lines were like, you guys, if you know, you know. But like Peter Pan was 45 minutes. Never. If you know, you know. Even 45, I was like, oh, I don't want to do this. But like I know what it can be. Like I know what Peter Pan can be. I don't know why. It's a cute ride. Cute ride.
00:21:52
Speaker
Cute. but I don't it has always and forever been like one of the longest ones I'm like I'm just is it because we're flying above the little town down there like what's we went a little boat carriage yeah I don't understand why i it's so prestige I have no I don't know is it the nostalgia I I don't understand why it's always a lot I know I know. Like it's always, I'm yawning because, you know, I'm so exhausted from the weekend. um Just what a what a vibe. And we feel like we didn't rope drop. We met them like after lunch, but we did have sports.
00:22:26
Speaker
yeah And like Annie said, we had Galentine's Friday. We had all day Magic Kingdom rope drop. And then we had this morning, you know, playing with the kids. We got to do a authentic king cake that Annie's aunt Shout to Aunt who is the true queen, because I've been craving a king cake, and I'm just so happy that Annie got it before she came over. Yeah. um so Yeah. So like we've just been like down pack, which is what we always do because like the kids just literally love each other so much. Like they're obsessed with each other that we want to maximize like their time together. So we we do it to ourselves. Like let's be honest. We do. we do
00:23:05
Speaker
We do. We absolutely do. Like the craziness, we do it to them with no naps and whatever may be. But the memories are there, you know? They are the best. I mean, come on. Like, the pictures of them all together, and especially we had Charlie and Avery matching. I'm sorry, but their photos together are just… ai ye They're AI babies. AI babies. I like can't even, I can't even. So yes, we're tired. We're going to it all again sometime in April. And we're actually going to two different parks with you guys and another friend, like family friends. So that'll be a lot because it's, it's one thing when you go like by yourself and,
00:23:44
Speaker
But then when you start to group in more and more people, then you got to coordinate who's getting hungry when, who wants to go on what, the ages of going on which rides. So definitely another level of complexity it. Hopefully April will give us semi-decent weather. So fingers crossed for April. And then I have to... is it? You have to what?
00:24:12
Speaker
No, I have to... um I started laundry before coming on here because I'm like, i've got to cycle through some laundry to leave Greg with some like clean clothes for the kids for the week. Well, for the first part of the week, because then I leave tomorrow at the freaking crack of dawn to fly to across California, cross across across the country, right? California for work. I'll be back on Wednesday, but will be flying in Isn't the Super Bowl in San Francisco? Yeah.
00:24:40
Speaker
So I'll be flying into San Francisco. so y'all know I'm going to be like, peeking around in the airport a little yep just peeking seeing i any any celebrity sighting your time baggage claim yes flying around seeing well i don't have to go to baggage claim i'm just going changing gates and i have to fly stupid why is tampa going to san francisco and then south like it just doesn't make sense but either way they like to torture you They do. So, but I'm like, my brain is semi fried. Greg wasn't feeling well the past couple of days. He said he was fine to go to Disney. And then halfway through Disney, he's like, I don't think I'm so fine. um And you guys know, we're probably mostly women here listening. And if you're a male, um I'm just going to tell you the truth about your behaviors when you're sick. But women, you know, you know, men when they're sick.
00:25:33
Speaker
Newborns. And my i my ah i my husband knows. I tell him this. I'm like, women sick and a man sick are two very, very different things. They're very different things. I don't really have to explain it because you guys know what I mean. They just, they they could have a little tickle in their throat and the world is as we know it is ending.
00:25:56
Speaker
Crumbling. Crumbling. Crumbling. So, um you know, you got to kind of give him a little pat, pat, baby them a little bit. Okay. All right. Take, take some medicine.
00:26:08
Speaker
And then you got to snap out of it. You got to, we got to. Yeah. You got gotta to get back to function. We got to get back to functioning. You got kids. You need to be in the ER, in the hospital.
00:26:19
Speaker
If you want to, if you want a day off. Okay. A million percent. So don't. Don't come at me. Okay. yeah Don't come at me. yeah um Not to pivot, but like I do have a question um because I was just thinking about this as I'm sitting here in my sweater. um You've got to be so hot.
00:26:38
Speaker
In my closet, feeling like a little toasty, drinking, you know, the ring light straight in my face, being sure I forgot to change the brightness. So we're just going with it now because if I dim it now, it's too late. um But anyways, so i maybe like what, a year ago now?
00:26:55
Speaker
possibly a year ago now, i switched deodorants. I'm one of those girlies. I'm now aluminum-free, just you know still drinking my Diet Coke every day, but I'm going to change other things. That way I can afford to drink the Diet Coke.
00:27:07
Speaker
Yes. Yeah. Yeah. But I love this deodorant. It's called Wild. Is it Wild or Wild Bird? What is it called? It's just Wild. It's just Wild. Wild deodorant, I think. And it's by somebody Bridgewater, somebody...
00:27:24
Speaker
o it literally specifically says that when you well they do they do um collabs with ah with people oh well then maybe okay then maybe that's what it is Like the wild one that I have was the collab with Emma Bridgewater. Okay. Then that's what it is. I'm like, that's the one I have. And I'm like, oh, okay. This is very specific that it's by her.
00:27:48
Speaker
Okay. So no. Okay. So that was just a collab. Got it. Following. so Yeah. So they do collabs with people with sense and like. You can design the aluminum like little case because the beauty of this, it's that it's refillable. If you knew anything about like clean deodorants, they're not cheap. Okay. But if you just purchase the wild, you can buy the refillable for like a a price of a deodorant. Okay. yeah um And don't get me wrong. I am obsessed with it. I'm so glad I went like the, honestly, the scent with the Emma Bridgewater collab, which is the honey and cactus flower.
00:28:22
Speaker
The best. Give me a perfume. Give me a perfume Give me perfume immediately. um and Anyway, so here's my tangent. The reason I'm going on this tangent is because I'm obsessed with that deodorant, but I've noticed like I feel like I have to put it on every day because if I miss a day, them toxins be toxin, and I feel like I smell myself, and I'm just like am I stinky or am I just imagining this because I know I forgot to put deodorant on? So I feel like next time I need, I need like a consensus, but like, do you feel that? Like, do you feel like, because I think before when I was using like the secret, what was the one? It's like secret 24 hour, whatever.
00:29:00
Speaker
whatever was like the magical one that everybody used. Yeah, the clinical one yeah shrink one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They have so many, right? There are so many.
00:29:11
Speaker
Yeah. like The aluminum was keeping me like fresh like two days, I guess, because there would be days I wouldn't put deodorant on and was not, I didn't smell myself. like I think that's just a special scenario because there's not a day that goes by that I like can't do deodorant.
00:29:29
Speaker
Like I have to do deodorant. I just, just, it I'm just as a being, my armpits are going to smell at some point during the day. Like that's just who I am. And maybe there's people on here who like, what? She has us to have it every day. Yeah. Yeah.
00:29:45
Speaker
Every day. And if I'm doing something later that night, I'm going to freaking re-up it and lather it on. Yes. a little boost into the evening because God forbid you go out and you' so it's starting to wear off and you start to stink.
00:30:00
Speaker
Right. Not my watch. Not on my Well, that's my fear. But no, like I've noticed, okay, no, I feel like I do have to like put it on every day versus like previously the aluminum and the carcinogens were clearly just ensuring that don't smell for 48 to 72 hours. They were just lodged up there. They're just lodged and like clogging my pores so much that literally just not. um But let me segue this into my next tangent because it actually is very fitting. um
00:30:32
Speaker
But you guys, so i and I can like probably say this now. It's going to be one of those things that me and Ben do that is like we listen and we don't judge because I'm going be like we listen and we don't judge. I bought a package for laser hair removal and I no longer have ARB.
00:30:50
Speaker
Because he has yet to figure it out. But you guys, I've only gotten one treatment and I have not had to shave my armpits after one treatment. That's crazy. And you've, I mean, it's been a while, right? Um, I'm, I'm, so you get it every five weeks and I'm due to go back next week. Like, ah so I got on January 5th.
00:31:11
Speaker
So it's been over a month. And you haven't shaved? don't No, there's still no hair. That's really good. I'm either reacting like really well. Yeah. and I would ask them, vick is that big is this normal? Because I do it too, but I have, like, I still have to shave. It's not like, but I haven't gone through all my treatments, but i still have to shave, not as often, but I still, like, there comes time where I'm like, oh, wait a second there.
00:31:35
Speaker
That's not cute. And so i have to shave, but I'm also not through my treatments, but after one is, like, crazy to me that you're already, like. hi That's why I'm like, am I okay? Because the package was for eight.
00:31:47
Speaker
It was buy one, get one area free. And it's eight sessions for both areas. So I i look at the way I'm looking in the mirror, you guys, the how I need a magnifying glass because I'm like, is this and this normal? Yeah.
00:32:02
Speaker
Like, can can I just do like, one more treatment? Your hair got zapped. Yeah, your hair got zapped and they were like, okay. The little follicles were like, ah we've been waiting for this. No need to grow back. We have been waiting for this moment. They're gone.
00:32:14
Speaker
eight They don't got to keep zapping. Yeah, they're like, please don't do that to me again. Which, by the way, it's also not that bad. Like, I was really expecting, like, that I was going to need to buy, like,
00:32:26
Speaker
black market, um what's it called? Numbing green. But yeah it actually feels lovely. It's like a little warm zap. like yeah I'd rather do that than a Brazilian wax. um A million times over. And you know what? like Knowing that they're zapping away those hairs,
00:32:44
Speaker
it could it could hurt It could hurt a little. I don't want it to. it could hurt a little more. And I'd be like, just keep going. Just keep because I know that I'm not going to have to worry. Like, as women, the amount of times that we have to would love to look that up.
00:32:57
Speaker
How many times I'm going to look that up as as we keep chatting. Get us that. In a woman's lifetime, are we shaving our armpits? Like, how how much time are we wasting?
00:33:08
Speaker
in our lifetime shaving because honestly you guys like I would have to like for the gym I would literally because obviously I'm not wearing like a full blown long sleeve shirt to the gym but I was having to shave like every other every other day like this is really annoying it's crazy yes and then you don't want to be like going to work out with your like sports bar whatever and you're like ah friggin free-flowing yeah like god forbid I miss a spot which is very very common for me to miss a spot It like yeah. No, it has honestly changed my life and I'm still very impressed that after one treatment.
00:33:42
Speaker
Please listen this. No hair has come back yet. I think it truly did like They were gone. They're gone. They're gone. um On average, women may spend roughly 1,700 to over 2,200 hours or roughly 72 to over 94 days on total body shaving including armpits in their lifetime. So this is like armpits, legs, whatever else we're shaving. know what mean? like in totality so let's just go in the middle what maybe let's say in the middle is like 81 82 80 80 days 80 days and it' it's like oh in the totality of my life that's just shaving there's just shaving just chew you know how much we could get done in those days oh give me that time back and we're getting that time back
00:34:30
Speaker
is Is there a credit? Like when we go to heaven, is there credit? Like, and we can use that credit. Like, like when the pearly gates open, been like, okay, this is, this was your total amount of time you spent shaving. we would like to credit that back to you. what would you like to do with this time?
00:34:44
Speaker
Yes. Just give me a few more days. Just a few, a couple of just things I got to wrap up, you know? Yeah. I got to wrap some things up downstairs. If you could just let me quickly get that done. i just need to know.
00:34:57
Speaker
like yeah Yeah. Can I get downstairs for a few hours, like a day? Or like, can I stretch this out? Is this like maternity leave? Like, can I use like one week at a time? Like, what's the policy up here? but yeah, no, um highly recommended. This is kind of like Lasix. I know I'm wearing my blue light glasses right now. So it seems like I didn't get Lasix, but I did.
00:35:15
Speaker
It's one of those things that I wish I would have done sooner. Like here I am This is me telling you it is worth it. Obviously I got a really good deal because I did like a package. It was during like an event at one of the, um,
00:35:28
Speaker
little like aesthetic medical spas here locally. And they like gave away practically everything. They were giving away a Dyson, you guys. Like they, three they know how to throw an event. Let me tell you, because like the deals are dealing when they throw the events, but you have to physically go to the event to do it. So that's like, you can't just like order ah over the phone or whatever. I don't think you have to be there to be able to get these amazing deals. So yeah, like, let me be the first one to encourage you to take that leap because it's it's worth it. It's so, it's so worth it. For, again, these these all these days now that you're going be back shaving. Now I'm like, I want to do my legs. and you could I mean, you there it's it's endless. You could literally leave there eventually being like a little naked mole rat with like no hair no hair anywhere, which would be, I mean...
00:36:13
Speaker
at least all my legs would be a dream it would be a dream to not have to like shave your legs every time you're going so like want to wear a dress want to wear a skirt want to wear maybe you're still maybe you're still in the gaucho phase you gotta maybe shave shave just to the shin just a quarter
00:36:33
Speaker
shave just to the shin for those gauchos not the gauchos gauchos are coming back though you guys that's that's why i was like the gaucho is semi back like everything always comes back around but you won't catch me dead i know when i said when the skinny when you're like skinny jeans are kind of out now they're coming back in whatever i mean there's like the Not wide leg pant, but like, not like any like boot cut, whatever. And I was like, oh, now I love them, right?
00:36:57
Speaker
You could show me every single person in this world. the Pope could tell us that if you wear gauchos, you're one step closer to God. And I'd say, well, my guy My guy My guy I'm a good enough girly. We're going to have to have that one step closer. Maya knows. Yeah.
00:37:18
Speaker
My man knows that we're good. That we're good. That I don't need a gaucho pant. am baptized for communion and confirmed. Okay. I did the triple check, baby. And I got married into the church. Okay. That's right. it bur I've got the documents.
00:37:35
Speaker
I don't need the gaucho pant okay so again if someone in their car is wearing them people look so chic in them like there's some people I'm like damn like how can no not I'm also so short that it's like uh I'm sorry what's she wearing okay okay can we clarify though since you brought that up since you're so short it looks a little bit like different so like gauchos are we like on the same like capri length or like is it are gauchos considered capris or i think how do we feel that's the length that i think a gaucho paint like again i've had gauchos previously in my in my life right when the gaucho phase was here gouch baby yes we were i was a gaucho girly remember like the full i loved them you kind of like roll them down a little bit like a little bit a little bit Listen, listen. need everyone to close their eyes. Let me paint you the picture, okay? The year is 2000. You're wearing brown gaucho pants. They're rolled, okay? You've got your tank tops layered, okay? Layered. Possibly throwing in a belt depending how you're feeling that day. But the best accessory of all, the best accessory of all that you have and you know everyone's going to compliment you on if If you say what I think you're going to say, I can't wait to hear it.
00:38:57
Speaker
Is this bag that is made of shingles practically. Okay. It came in bronze. It came in gold and it came in silver, baby. And it's just a bag. It's honestly for produce. Okay. Probably. And we just bedazzled it in the 2000s. And damn, you were looking hot, baby. And you know what? Crimper hair. Why not?
00:39:22
Speaker
Oh my God. And you've got the color corrector makeup and it's just at the jawline. A little, little hint of orange, little hint of orange to go with the Brown ensemble. It's given hint of orange. And it's also, I'm so sorry. I also forgot a very, another very important accessory. um Nowadays, you probably consider them beads, but they were long pearl necklaces. But the key to that is you have to wrap it once. Wrap once. Because you need that choker line, okay? And then it hangs. So I hope you took that imagery ride with us and really put yourself in that headspace because, damn, were you the it girl if that was your fit that day? I see the vision. i am going to find I, like, visually see
00:40:07
Speaker
that outfit in a picture. don't know. I've seen myself. That was were you was that an image of me you were describing? No, I'm kidding. All of us. All of us. I'm sure we all wore that. Yes. Oh, my God. That's so funny. And the purse. Well done. Well done.
00:40:23
Speaker
Well done for sure. But Yeah, guys, the gaucho pants are coming back, but I'm with you. Being short gaucho is a very risk-risk because the length can truly just ruin it for you.
00:40:35
Speaker
It can ruin it for you. have a strong belief in that. Yeah, you guys won't find me prancing around in gauchos, and if you do... Listen, feel free to call me out and be like, this girl, this girl said she'd never.
00:40:48
Speaker
but yeah, I just- She's a liar. Yeah, she's a liar. She's not one step closer. um if if you guys see any gauchos, y'all better start praying for her because that means she did something so wrong that she really needed to get that fourth step closer. i had to get an Amazon order in of 20 gauchos.
00:41:07
Speaker
They got there on repeat.
00:41:12
Speaker
Just to be sure. oh my God. So funny. It's the accuracy though. The accuracy. i um I'm like painfully, go do you see how much I've had?
00:41:23
Speaker
I'm like painfully sipping on this. I'm going to dump, I'm going to dump it out afterwards. Yeah. I mean, I'm enjoying it, but again, mine's bubbly, but now that it's getting like flatter, see, yeah, i can see the, um, the taste going down, like the taste level. Mm-hmm.
00:41:41
Speaker
Like, yeah. I don't know how else to describe that. I can definitely see it. Yeah. going And I've had, I'm pretty sure I've had like their, think I've had their, Pinot Gris, maybe Chardonnay. I don't know. I think I've had a different one and it was also kind of like, meh, it's one of those bottles cute. You're expecting big things. I feel like maybe we did one of their wines on here before.
00:42:03
Speaker
i recognize, or maybe I drink it with you. I can't remember. i recognize the label for sure. Um, we'll have to circle it back to see. We'll have to kind of dig around, past six seasons to see. but do you think you're ready to cork this one?
00:42:20
Speaker
Probably. Let me take one more step. Again, the flatter is getting like, I still, now I'm to this point where like the bubbles, it's not a steady flow. Like I don't see them rising as a steady flow.
00:42:31
Speaker
It's like, I have zero bubbles. I have zero and it's very different. Like, I'm not drinking like a regular rose now. Like now it's just like a flat Prosecco. And like, if you have, you ever had ah flat Prosecco, it's not great.
00:42:45
Speaker
It's not great. So I feel bad having to cork off of this, but I'm corking off of what I'm right drinking. Not what I think it may taste like if I had a regular bottle.
00:42:56
Speaker
Right. Yeah. Your experience overall. So give us your experience overall. My experience overall. Yeah. We're going to dive right in It's 3.1 because it's just not, it's not good.
00:43:06
Speaker
Like it's not good. Like I knew when I cracked it, it fizzed like a little bit when I poured it in the fizz lasted for like half a second. Like when you showed me yours, yours was like a layer a bubbles. I'm like, Ooh, yes, that is crisp. That is yummy.
00:43:17
Speaker
Yeah. There's, I mean, like there's, you can, there's nothing there. Yeah, yours is definitely flat. Like someone definitely opened it a little bit and let all that gas out. Yeah. So it's it's unfortunate. But again, I'm going cork what I was given and it's a 3.1.
00:43:35
Speaker
Yeah. And I don't blame you. I mean, this isn't my favorite rosé I've ever had. My corking for, it's almost like I have two corkings because now that it's flat, it is getting to a point where it's not like enjoyable anymore. um But it was mid enjoyable. I'm corking this a 5.6. With bubbles though. like it had it was like right in the beginning where it was like super bubbly. Now that it's getting flat, we're dipping into like four zone, I feel like. yeah I'm going to give it its rightful five point six right because it was it. Yeah.
00:44:09
Speaker
it was okay like drinking it so Yeah, point six is um not the best. Yeah. But if i it was available and I saw the bubbles bubbling, I would dabble in and just make sure not to talk so I could actually drink it all before the bubbles were away. Yes, a little quick a little quick drink. um Okay, before we sign off, we really didn't say who we thought would win the Super Bowl. We were kind of like, well, we think this will be kind of like I'm going to Seahawks. I think the Patriots hype has kind of, it's the same Drake May.
00:44:40
Speaker
think there's a lot of hype behind him and a lot of numbers being thrown at us, like compared to other quarterbacks and his age and things like that. So I'm, I'm maybe getting people may hate me on that. And I may be even, he may not even be the, court I think that's the quarterback of the Patriots. Somebody be like, there he plays for the Browns. um I'm pretty sure that's the Patriots quarterback, but I just feel like there may be too much hype. I don't know. I don't know. I could be wrong.
00:45:06
Speaker
See, and that's my thing. Like, I feel like I think the Seahawks will win, but I also feel like the Patriots may want it so bad that they want to claim their name. So I'm going to go Patriots just to be different. Yeah. um Because it's good to be different sometimes, you guys. It makes you feel special.
00:45:24
Speaker
um so So I'm going to go Patriots solely because i think maybe they're going to want to prove something tonight. And that's why even though Seahawks are definitely I'm pretty sure Seahawks are the ones favored.
00:45:37
Speaker
Okay. Whoever loses. oh oh this is fun. Next week, you know the little bead necklace? Yeah. you have to wear it.
00:45:48
Speaker
We have to wear it out while recording. Because we can get like our kids beads. I'm picking the Seahawks. I was kidding.
00:45:57
Speaker
Treena's like, bitch, I should have picked first. Wait, where do I? Okay, I need to make sure. like Can it be any beads? Kids beads. It doesn't have to be like an actual like like kids beads. I don't have a necklace like that. Actually, I actually do have a long one from when we did um like 100 days of school. I may have a pearl Gatsby bead, but no, like 100 days of school. I like I think I have like a little ah loopy pearl necklace. So love. a yeah Yes. I like that.
00:46:24
Speaker
Whoever the whoever the loser is next episode, that is what they have to wear. I absolutely love that idea. i think that's genius. Great. I think that's genius. We're on Let's do this. um So stay tuned to next week's videos on social media to find the reveal of that. Actually, we're all going to find out tonight who's going have to do that. so Oh, God. So by Tuesday when you guys are listening to this, you will very much be aware. But with that, that's a wrap. That's our show. That's all the Mama T we have for today. Thank you guys so much for listening. Don't forget to rate and review us on whatever of our platform you're listening on. As always, tell all your friends and keep on whining.
00:47:03
