Introduction and Season Finale Celebration

00:00:00
Speaker
Welcome to Wine Mama, a podcast where two bestie moms whine while they whine. I'm Jemina. And I'm Annie. Let's whine. And there are about 10 different ways I could go into this like intro to the episode. Truly, there are so many different ways, but I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say happy season seven finale to all who celebrate. Specifically us after quite the week, at least my household has had.
00:00:33
Speaker
You guys are in for, i don't want to say a treat because it's not, but like we missed last, we missed this last week's episode. Like not obviously not intentionally all like we always plan like one episode where we kind of like have our break, whether that's like.
00:00:50
Speaker
typically around spring break or like you know so stuff just happens and we always have like one little episode or we have a bi-week last week was not supposed to be our second bi-week but we'll get into that but just like yeah so just like a surface level like just like little surface like you know when you see like the iceberg above the water it's like that's about 10 percent of like the actual iceberg but how's that like how's that part ah How's

Mother's Day Episode and Personal Updates

00:01:14
Speaker
that going for you? are we That part, um it was well on until about like maybe 10 minutes ago when we tried to record an hour ago and my children would not go to bed. Um, yeah, I am, uh, oh, and happy belated mother's day to everybody. Um, we, we, listen again, we had big plans to have an entire mother's day episode. Um, but life happened and I will, once I take a sip of this wonderful wine that we're going to have, I'll be happy to share why we, um, skipped out last week, what's going on and why I am emotionally, um, not here. I'm you guys physically hear me, but like I'm emotionally unattached. I feel like seasonal depression has started early for me. Um, and we'll get into that, but I need like, I need the wine in order to have this discussion right now. You're physically here, but every other aspect, like emotionally, mentally, spiritually, she gone, she's not here.
00:02:11
Speaker
she is on another planet. So yes, let's absolutely drink some wine. um are you ready to wine with the wine of the week? I'm like light years prepared and ready, like light years, like been ready. Been ready, baby. so we are wildly excited for

Wine of the Week: Jadie Blanc Jalapeno Sauvignon Blanc

00:02:32
Speaker
this wine. This week we are drinking the Jadie Blanc Jalapeno Sauvignon Blanc in one of our...
00:02:38
Speaker
Just loyal, loyal, loyal as hell listeners. One of our besties from back home. She's been on the podcast before. Taryn Blaze. She sent us a picture and I was like, done. Jamina, get this bottle.
00:02:51
Speaker
Get this, you guys. I have the bottle with me. I haven't cracked it open. I haven't poured it yet. I was like, we got to bring. She is, is the light going to mess her up? you got I think you got to do the whole hand. The whole like. The whole hand like this back here? Yeah, there she goes. Oh, got her. Okay. Do you see her good?
00:03:06
Speaker
We see her. She's beautiful. Hottie Blank Jalapeno, baby. oh my gosh. Like, I am so excited about this. So tell us We couldn't really find much about this wine.
00:03:17
Speaker
But what we do know, um please, please tell our listeners what we do what we do know. yeah The only things that we do know um is that Hottie Blank, Hottie Blanc, Blanc, Blanc, Blanc.
00:03:30
Speaker
Like Sauvignon Blanc. You got it. It's a crisp white wine with a rebellious streak. Bright citrus and crisp acidity meet playful spice with a clean jalapeno kick derived from real jalapenos used in the winemaking process, adding flavor without overwhelming heat. And you know, it's funny. i like that it's saying adding flavor without overwhelming heat because I like spicy.
00:03:54
Speaker
So I actually like debated, like, should I freeze some jalapenos and like, we give it an extra spice? But because I've never had it before, I wanted to like give it a clean slate, but there may be a time that maybe I want to spice it up with a little frozen jalapeno inside. um maybe even a frozen mango, like really just throw in all, like bring out the citrus flavor out of it. Um, you guys, I'm so thrilled. I'm literally drinking out of my glass that says the boss.
00:04:18
Speaker
oh yes she is a boss she's a boss lady boss queen today i um don't feel like it um again we'll get into it i don't feel like it i just needed the energy from this glass i needed the the energy the glass was gonna give me i'm gonna crack it's a twist top we love let me see can get it crisp we're gonna pour her oh oh Oh, you can smell. You can smell her. Yeah. I'm really nervous. You guys, i like spice, but like just like just a little, like just a this little, tin like a little wisp, just a little wisp of spice. whispy with And you can absolutely smell the jalapeno. So like yeah a little nervy now. Yeah. You can definitely smell it. That's why I was like, maybe adding, I should try it before i add it. Right. Try it before you add. And we also love because the bottle does list the ingredients on the back. And you guys know how rare that is to find a wine bottle that actually gives you the ingredients. I think the only other wine bottle that I can recall that lists ingredients is um the Avaline. Avaline? Avaline? Avaline? Avaline, yeah, yeah.
00:05:21
Speaker
So. Yes, you are right. I think that, I think that one, like maybe we've, I'm sure we've seen one. You just don't I was just looking at the back to see the about, like, cause I couldn't really find that much information on it. And that's when I was like, wait a second, it has nutrition facts. It has the ingredients. Like, I love that. So this is a California wine. I don't know if that was in the description, but this is a California wine. And i mean, you guys, we've all seen how like the jalapenos in the Sauvignon Blanc like blew up. So they were like, Hey, We're going to take it one step further and do the jalapenos during the like the the process of like making the wine. so
00:05:57
Speaker
and did we say Did we say the price? We don't see the price yet. And I think the alcohol volume, because Taryn did warn us that it is a little bit on the higher end, right? 6.9% alcohol. But I honestly, you guys, I don't know what normal is. I think it's like 6.5. I want to say six. I've seen 6.5. So it's like just a smidge, a little bit higher. let me see. So quick Google search while you tell us where we found it and how much it was. I think got all the devices right. Tell us. so tell what
00:06:30
Speaker
So we found this at total wine. So pretty, I'd say like easy, easy easy to find. i just like stuttered there. So sorry. um Pretty easy to find. And it's between 13 and $16. So extremely reasonably priced. I'm like, this could be the wine of the summer, you know, as we go into summer, this could definitely be the wine of the summer. And, you know Again, and I love like the taste like the taste of it. If you take the spice out of it, I love the true taste of a jalapeno. You know what I'm saying? A jalapeno actually tastes like really good if you take the spice.
00:07:06
Speaker
Yes. It's actually really good. So i'm interesting I'm interested to see how this is. Okay, did you find what usual... Yeah, it's I mean, it kind of gives you like a range. It can be anywhere between 5.5% all the way up to like 14%. Oh, Lord. But I think that is dependent on the type of wine. sure You guys all know like there's so many different variables. So like we're looking โ€“ I mean, literally this is alcohol content in wine ranges from as low as 5.5% 25% ABV.

Beckett's Karate Injury and Emergency Room Experience

00:07:34
Speaker
Which what the 25%?
00:07:37
Speaker
which i'm like what is the twenty five Yeah. But like, which one is that? Is that one just like straight like tequila mixed with it? Like what? like That's gotta to be like really strong.
00:07:49
Speaker
Like that is very crazy to me. I was trying to see maybe... Like light wines, it says light white wines, like Riesling Moscato can be like 5.5 to 12. Light reds are, so like it looks like the reds are usually um a little bit higher and full bodied white wines are a little bit higher. um So yeah, I mean, that's our fun fact for the day. Here you go.
00:08:13
Speaker
Are we ready to give this a try? ready. 1,010%. I'm ready. All right. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers.
00:08:24
Speaker
Oh, she's got spice. She's got spice. hoof She's spicy. She is spicy with some tacos and like, give me the Mexican food right now.
00:08:36
Speaker
Oh, okay. It's a little spicy for, from, you know, you know, I i love it. i mean, I need like a hair less spice, but this is good. I think you need an ice cube to kind of tone it down on yours.
00:08:50
Speaker
The um frozen mango this would probably do it for me. Yeah. It would yeah bring out the citrus flavor more, I think. Yes. Oh, yeah. That thumbs it back actually sounds really good. I mean, I like the spice. So, like, yeah yes, is this going give me heartburn later? Absolutely. But, like, is it worth it?
00:09:09
Speaker
Yeah. Also, absolutely. Also. absolutely Absolutely. So, yeah. Especially after of the week I've had, because how do we even get into it? I was about to say, tell us a little bit about that. So first of all, we did our drinking around the world last weekend, weekend before last, right? Weekend before Mother's Day.
00:09:29
Speaker
The weekend before Mother's Day, yep. Yes. Which is a we blast. We were, you know, had the best time. If you saw us at Epcot that Saturday, no, you didn't.
00:09:40
Speaker
Actually, you didn't see us. Specifically that night? No, you didn't. No. We actually, don't know who you're talking about. um And then we went to record on, the plan was to record on Monday. We were like, we can't even. The plan you guys was to record on Sunday. We were so unwell for literally what, 72 hours. you aren't even No, the thought of turning around and then getting another, getting a bottle of wine to like record the next day after we just drank around the world, I was like,
00:10:11
Speaker
that's not happening. So then then we were like, okay, let's just do it tomorrow. Not a big deal. Let's do it Monday. And then Monday rolled around and please, I need you to just kind of like tell just a synopsis of what's been going on.
00:10:24
Speaker
So short start, short what is it called? Short story long. Um, Beckett has karate martial arts on Monday nights and they were doing a special like obstacle course type thing for, May the 4th. So it was, you know, Star Wars theme, whatever. And you know, it's even like, it breaks my heart even more. Like we were going to surprise him. We were going to one of those things that was like, we put the kids to bed, but then we go wake them and like, Hey, do you want to go to Hollywood studios and do the lightsaber for May the 4th? Like we had this whole thing planned, like to surprise him, to do something fun. And um unfortunately that did not happen. um During karate, the obstacle course, he like, they they had one of those like long, I'm sure everyone has seen this because gymnasts usually like, buy them. You can buy them on Amazon. It's like this long mats that like you can do tumble or whatever, like gymnasts use it um, to like practice, maybe cheerleaders use it too, whatever.
00:11:19
Speaker
Besides the point, um, he like stopped in front of it. He was waiting for the girl in front of him to go, who's his little friend. She did like a cartwheel and like kept going in the obstacle course. And then it was his turn. And I don't know if he was, he always tries to go extra. so I don't know if he was trying to do some sort of jump kick or whatever, but he jumped And he missteps. So like he fell like he didn't fall, but like he's, his foot stepped on like the edge of the gym mat, which caused him to fall. yeah And of course he tried to catch himself and he caught himself with his arm, um, and broke his arm. So he broke his owner and his radial. So basically both bones in your hand. And, um, we went to the ER and we were there from like five ish, 515 ish, all the way to about midnight. It took a very long time, unfortunately, because there was change or shift involved and emergency came in a lot of factors. Um, to be honest, you guys, like I have never broken a bone. So I, but I imagine it's incredibly painful, which when it happened, he was crying. He was crying. He was like, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts. And I just kept like the jump did not look, you guys, the jump did not look like it would have broken a bone, but I guess because of the force. Yeah. And the way he probably fell on it. Yep.
00:12:33
Speaker
Yeah. like i just And so as soon as he got up, you just see it, right? It's jello. like It's swinging side to side. And I was like, we've got to go. Let's grab your things. We're leaving. We have to go to the emergency room like right now, which remind me to touch base on an emergency room because I'm going to give everybody a nice little tip when we get to that. Oh, God. I know. i know. This...
00:12:54
Speaker
It's just, it was just, you know, he was crying. He was like, it hurts. It hurts. And on' I'm looking at him. I'm like, I promise you, you're going to be okay. That's all I'm telling him. I'm like, it's, I know it hurts buddy, but I promise you it's going to be okay. There was a very nice couple that helped me like get him on like his gear off and like help me put them in the car, brought all our stuff to the car. They were incredibly, incredibly kind. The manager of the studio was ah splinted him. So he like broke one of the boards and put the boards in his arm and wrapped it with one of the belts, the karate belts that he had in the back. Yeah. Well, it's like one those moments as as a parent, you're like, you're internally, of course, freaking out. Cause like none of your kids, well, mean, if you're, if he, even if he had broken a bone before, right. Like that's still like a freak out moment, but like, like he's never broken a bone. Like you're trying to freak out for him, but like mentally you're like, Oh my God, like what's like, what's my next course of action? Obviously going to the ER, going to a doctor. yes But it's like,
00:13:47
Speaker
you're so in a panic in that, in that moment. I know. And, and like, I'm just like in such awe of him because he was like, seriously, like on the way there, like he had stopped crying by the time we got to the car. Like, of course he was kind of like scared and freaking out. Like i call Ben in the car, I'm letting him know where I'm taking him. And he's just like in the back, like, at least I get to have an x-ray.
00:14:08
Speaker
uh,
00:14:10
Speaker
Yeah. i was like, loves extras. I'm excited for you. Yeah. I'm so excited for you. Little background. Like Becca thinks extras are the coolest thing ever. He loves them. So like he was super stoked about that part. So waiting in the ER sucked, of course. Like.
00:14:23
Speaker
Naturally. But naturally that sucked. You know, like the doctor before change shift told us they would have to put him, you know, typically they'll put him to sleep to help kind of realign the bones. And then they'll, you know, put a splint. They don't cast because it's the yeah ah ER and it wasn't a pediatric ER. It was just a generic yeah ER. Right. um So they changed the shift. Emergencies came in. Like I said, we waited a really long time. when and then And I'm one of those people, you guys, I work in healthcare care and I get it. i Don't get me wrong. I understand it is very frustrating to wait in an ER. i
00:14:54
Speaker
No one wants to wait. Nobody wants to be sitting in a room waiting. I understand. But at the same time, i guess because I'm on healthcare, I have the mentality of, If there's an emergency and that emergency was me, I would want all the attention on me and or my child or whoever my loved one is that I'm bringing to the ER to make sure they get the best care possible. So Ben was getting antsy about it. And I'm like, it's OK. If Beckett is not complaining, he's sitting here giggling watching movies. like And I'm like, it but I get it. I get that perspective. I'm just more of the, that was also me once I had a call 911 on Avery. So like I, that I understand why the attention needs to shift to someone else. Sure. They're about to realign his arm. I want to, when they get to back it, like I want to make sure. they full Yeah. I want them to be and is on him.
00:15:41
Speaker
okay But they had talked about like giving him ketamine to sleep and like that made me a little nervous because I get it. Like ketamine is a drug that gets used on pediatrics a lot for this. But how you respond coming out of it is very dependent. Like people can be like, you know, it just depends on how you react. Right.
00:15:58
Speaker
So they ended up giving him inhalation versus which that was one thing that he did not like because it goes through your nose and they had to squirt it and he had to basically like inhale like the. Yeah. Yeah. So that freaked him out. So he cried during that.
00:16:12
Speaker
And then he was like crying when they were doing the actual procedure. Like they put lidocaine. So he couldn't feel anything, you guys. Like he could not. But we ended up figuring out that he was crying because like he was unsure of what was happening. He wasn't crying because was pain. Yeah.
00:16:25
Speaker
he likes to watch. Like just don't watch. Like yeah just don't watch. It's also that's a lot. Like that that's a lot of like not I don't want to say sensory overload, but like that's a lot. And like at what time of night was this at this time?
00:16:39
Speaker
um By the time they were casting him, I think it was like 11, like 1030-ish. Right. So come on. 1030-ish. Yeah. Poor thing. Yeah. So 1030-ish. At that point, he's getting tired he couldn't have anything to eat or drink. So he's hungry. be crying too. i know. I know. I've been so, Beckett.
00:16:57
Speaker
Yeah. And at one point I did tell Ben, I was like, you can go out there and be like, hey, he's really thirsty and hungry. Do you know how much longer it might be? Like ask politely. like Right. Right. So anyways, that happened. um And I'm thinking, again, I have never broken a bone. I'm thinking when someone breaks a bone, you see orthopedics the next day. Like, they need a cast immediately, right? Like, that's my mentality. Wrong. That's not how it works, guys. That's literally not how works. Also, just pause. Like...
00:17:26
Speaker
We, we, Jamina has experienced this firsthand. She also is a nurse, but take our advice or take this story with like, we're not telling you exactly what. No, I'm about to tell you the right things to do. I'm going to tell you, I'm going to go back to this topic of wrong. There's a reason why I'm getting there, but because, and I get it. The, I get why you don't see ortho right away because when there's a lot of swelling, you can't cast anything when there's a lot of sweating because that sure cast is going to put more pressure, causes more issues,
00:17:57
Speaker
Long story short, swelling usually goes down five to seven days later. That's why. So that's the reasoning the of the why. Okay. But that was just like shocking to me again. I've never broken a bone, but again, it was not complaining at all. You guys, they gave him a prescription for ibuprofen and oxy. God.
00:18:13
Speaker
Yeah. And I'm like, just in case he's in lot of pain or whatever, but his arm again was, was splinted. They splinted it very nicely in the yeah ah ER. Um, We gave him ibuprofen that night just because we were afraid that he might wake up with pain. And then we give it again the next night and then not again because he has never complained of any pain, which is so like.
00:18:32
Speaker
It's crazy. I can't reiterate this enough. I've never broken a bone, but doesn't that sound painful? Yes. Yeah. Like it's it's like that hurts. I wonder if, because like maybe I'm not even going to say, I don't know. I'm not going to say what I was going to say because it was probably so stupid. So please continue Well, regardless, I ended up falling my gut and trying to get the soonest orthopedic, pediatric orthopedic appointment I could, because when we left the ER, they did do another x-ray after they but tried to realign. And I just could tell by the yeah ER's doctor's face that,
00:19:02
Speaker
was not great, you know? And she told us, she was honest. She was like, I like it, but I don't love it. And I'm like, I don't like that. Yeah. I i don't like that answer. Definitely. I looked at the images. I have pictures of the images. They look the same.
00:19:17
Speaker
It truly doesn't like she even did anything. um Again, she's not orthopedic. She's, she's an ER r physician. I don't blame her. Okay. I get that. Again, going back to my reasoning of what my, my advice would be if this happened to you. Um, went to the orthopedic doctor, essentially she casted him, took another x-ray.
00:19:40
Speaker
She said she, it looks better than the x-rays that she, we brought to her to see from the ER. And, but unfortunately Beckett does need to go under general anesthesia. for them to actually realign it correctly. um And she explained it in a very good way. So the fracture that he has, it's like when you break a twig, when you break a twig and it doesn't break all the way, you know, it's just kind of lingering, you know?
00:20:04
Speaker
And so what they have to do is they have to bring it back together, but sometimes in order to bring it back together, they do have to fully break the twig in order to. So This is why he'll be taking a nap. He understands that he's taking a nap. Procedure is going to be maybe like 30 to 45 minutes. And that's this week. Yes. This week. um Yes, that's this week. So actually, this is airing Tuesday. Then his procedure has already happened. it is Monday. So um prayers for a good recovery. But the worst part about all this, you guys.
00:20:36
Speaker
We, Becca has been, if you know anything about Becca, his number one bucket list item for the past year and a half has been to be, go on a cruise. Oh my God. I know this, this pains me has been to go on a cruise. This is why this week has been, this week has just been, and this isn't even like, it gets even higher worse. It continues to get worse. I know. And like a series of unfortunate events. I know me and Ben booked a cruise for Memorial day week and where we're, we're going to surprise him. He was going get to skip the last They're half days. He's not really skipping a lot of school, but um he was going to get to skip the last couple of weeks of not a couple, sorry, two days, two half days of school. And we were going to surprise take him on a cruise. And now we're still going to go God willing, but everything goes well Monday. And it's just going look a little different. He does have a waterproof cast, which is great. And I bought him like a cover too. So, you know, it's again, it's going to look a little different. Listen, he's going to be,
00:21:29
Speaker
He's going to be thriving, loving it regardless. There's so much activities. It's a Royal Caribbean. It's their second largest ship. Like it's going to be fine. But to add in insult insult to injury on top of this, um Beckett has had lovies, if you will, since birth practically, Miso and Moose.

Emotional Stories: Beckett's Toy and Reflections on Parenthood

00:21:50
Speaker
They used to be his Wobba Nubs, which are his pacifiers. And then when we you know, transition to no passies. We cut and he's had these two little, just the stuffed animal that's attached to them. You guys, Moose is lost.
00:22:01
Speaker
We have no idea where he is. We have torn this house apart. I already cried to Annie about it. So I'm able to like comfortably talk about this because I'm so like the sentiment behind Moose is more emotionally attached to me, obviously. Like, Yes, Beckett is very sad, but he's like, Moose is always hiding, Mom. Moose is always the one, which is true. Like, out of Miso and Moose, Moose is always the one that we are like, okay, where's Moose? Like, oh my gosh. That's silly Moose. That's silly Moose. But we always find him. But we always find him.
00:22:28
Speaker
And now, like, you guys. He drew a missing poster, which I sent to Annie, and Annie's going to open her text and see it. gosh, yes. I've been waiting. i was like, I have to look at this while we are on rap Moose, because obviously they're the same size. He traced Moose's bodies and turned it into, that sorry, he traced Misa's body and turned it into Moose and then did a missing poster.
00:22:46
Speaker
Moose missing... It's ja meanina heartbreaking. Jemina, this is a tragedy if I've ever seen one. Are you kidding? You guys look at the bottom of the stairs, like right when you walk in. So anybody that walks into our home can see that he's missing. Like you guys, we don't know where he is. Misa and Moussa are a pair. They're always together. If he grabs them, they're always that we did not leave him at the hospital because that night we both we they came home. We sanitize them.
00:23:14
Speaker
We don't know. Like, did he actually get in the trash somehow? Like, if Doak would have bit into it or eaten it or broken we would have seen a trace Doak. You would have seen something if Doak had gotten into it.
00:23:26
Speaker
You guys, when I tell you we have opened every crevice, everything in the kitchen, I tore the playroom apart. I tore both of the kids' rooms apart and put it back together. I mean, Ben do it too. We searched the trash. We searched every drawer, everything, like the guest room, the bathrooms, the the laundry behind the lawn, like anywhere possible. I have everything no idea how this could have happened or how he went because he was in this home.
00:23:48
Speaker
He never left this home. Yeah. So... Like he's, he's, he's so well, we like, there's two things that we don't talk about on this podcast. And it's what we don't talk about just in general life. And that's religion. And that's politics. But listen, when you're two Catholic girlies, listen.
00:24:06
Speaker
And there's interview's if you're any Catholics listening, like, yeah. And there's any Catholics listening. There's sometimes two different kinds Catholics. Some who like believe in praying to specific saints and some are just like straight, just like, just, they're just Catholic girlies. Right. where're We pray.
00:24:20
Speaker
whip We pray to everybody. And so I said, you know, you got to pray too. You know, you got to pray too. And you will find Moose. You got to pray to St. Anthony and you will hopefully eventually Yeah. Find Moose. And I need anyone who's listening who's Catholic to also play for St. Anthony. Like just like ask him to please help us find Moose and like have him come home. I did go ahead and purchase a replacement because it's very heartbreaking because that's the one thing Becca was like, I can't not have Moose for my procedure. And you guys, that broke me.
00:24:51
Speaker
Oh, broke me. So instantly I went and I paid $20. I would pay $500 to get the original Moose Bow mask, you know, like i just bring them back. But you guys, this is his two Wubba Nubs are where like special edition Wubba Nubs. So eBay and one Amazon account had it. So like that's how rare it is. So like What are the chances though? Like what are the chances that you know, that's not even real. It's not even real. So that's just everything that's been going on. So like mentally, like that's why I said I'm physically here, but like mentally, emotionally, spiritually, like I'm elsewhere. Well, to get on top of that too, it's like when we, if we miss a recording date, like we'll be like, okay, let's just do the next day.
00:25:35
Speaker
ah let's But it's like, I didn't want to sit here and be, i know you'd never think this, but I didn't want to be, what's the word? Um, inconsiderate and be like hey, you want to record? You know you want to... and You know, you just like don't want... It's like, hey you take the time that you need. Like, you're going through a lot.
00:25:51
Speaker
Yeah. Things are happening right now. And so we kept trying and then we were like, you know what? Let's just close it out with our finale. And that's why when Taryn sent this wine, I'm like, this is great.
00:26:04
Speaker
We're going to have this hottie blank. We're going to record the finale. We're going recap on like what the heck happened this week. And... Oh my gosh.
00:26:14
Speaker
but Deep breaths. Everything's good. Prayers up for the fray fam because my gosh, we need it. But here's going to be my advice that I tell you about a broken arm because we have never experienced this.
00:26:28
Speaker
When you have a broken, and this is going to sound crazy. This is going sound crazy when I say this. Tell When you have a broken arm or broken bone, Unless that bone โ€“ and I got this advice from my neighbor. My neighbor's brother-in-law is a orthopedic surgeon.
00:26:44
Speaker
And so she was just like talking to him about it. And um'm when you break a bone, unless that bone is sticking out of your body, don't go to the ER. Go to either a walk-in orthopedic center or wait to the next day to go and see orthopedics because โ€“ that is what essentially happens. You go to the ER, you get a hefty bill, they do x-rays, they do A, B, C, D, F, G, you know, and, but they're not the ones that can do the right thing in putting whatever bones in place. So unless that bone was sticking out, I should have just kept him. And you what? It kind of makes sense because he, again, he was not in pain. Like it was, I know, but how the heck would you like, how would you ever, ever, ever, no one would, cause then imagine if you're like, well, uh, like, well, I'm just going to go home. don't know, unless you like have an instance like this where like now, you know, and now you're telling people like, Hey, this is what I know now.
00:27:36
Speaker
Yeah. i'm No one. no and No one would just go straight home. No one. Literally no one would do that. Someone would go to the nearest wherever they could into. Because I'm thinking it's pain. Again, I've never broken a bone. like I'm thinking he's in incredible pain. like I think he needs all the drugs and sedatives and everything to calm him down. And like hindsight, you know what?
00:27:58
Speaker
But I told you know what, this is a learning lesson because, again, me and Ben didn't know what to do. um We did what was best, what we thought at the time. And at this point, we've met our deductible. So so far, we haven't had to pay much for surgery. So it's like, you know, what it's great. But like life is funny that way.
00:28:15
Speaker
Life's funny that way, throwing curveballs. But yeah, that was just a fun like fact that I wanted to share because I didn't know that. And helps somebody save an yeah ER bill. Then I hope it i hope it helps. and you know what? I hope they break the bone during business hours. That way you can make it to an orthopedic walk-in. Because it I didn't even know that that existed. I didn't know orthopedics.
00:28:35
Speaker
places had walk-ins like like ah save that like save that location or save whatever on your phone i think you know what you've like been a boy mom for like almost no seven seven years or seven years i'm like well i'm trying to do the math of his birthday yes for seven years i'm like now you're like really a boy like now you're like you were a boy mom like you're a boy mom but not of course you have avery too but like You're a yeah no mother of a boy. why Yeah. but Now like I've been branded like that was like the rite of passage. Yes. The stamp of approval, the rite of passage, like you've been knighted as a true.
00:29:11
Speaker
Yes. And all the other boy moms are like, yes, welcome. Like come. Welcome. It sounds like I'm going to be the first, like come in here. Yes. This is the first of probably a few. was Guys, I was just really hoping we'd make it till 10. Like that was my goal in life. Like, please let me make it to 10 years before I break, like any of my children break anything. Like think that would be a good accomplishment. Please make sure. I did see the cast that he has now. And you know I know he's having surgery, like whatever. Please know that if he gets something that can be signed for the love of God, make sure there's room. There is room on it for my children because it's all they have talked about is signing Beckett's cast. i hope he's okay. I want to sign his cast. I'm like, well, I hope there's room on it by the time we see him.
00:29:56
Speaker
I love that. Well, you know, another tragic to add, continue the insult to injury, his flag football team made it to the championship. And unfortunately he did not get to play because he broke his arm. And, but the orthopedic doctor did put a cast on it. So his entire football team signed it for him on Sunday.
00:30:16
Speaker
and it was so sweet and then he like sat on the sidelines and he made a poem you guys he made the chargers you guys he's not real he's not real so they lost they lost the championship but he like made a poem and at the end like during their huddle he was able to it was something like we are the chargers charge charge charge we like to play football i don't know something like that but they let him read his poem because that's what he wrote like while everybody else was playing because he yeah yeah Oh, my gosh.
00:30:45
Speaker
It was so โ€“ I was like, like oh my gosh, that's so cute. That's so sweet. He's, like, just a genuinely sweet, sweet boy. Yeah. But, yeah, anyways, what else can I add on? Miss flag football, you know, missing the highlights of the cruise. All the things. Moose gone. Mentally, mom is not okay. Yeah. Yeah.
00:31:06
Speaker
But you know what? We're sitting here whining. We're going to, we just, we take it one day at a time. We're just going to continue. yeah And just prayers up for um St. Anthony's for Moose to come home again.
00:31:18
Speaker
Bring it, bring it Moose home. And it's one of those things, you guys, like this is harder on mom, of course, because we like have the memories and stuff. And i literally already did an entire tribute. I don't think it's loading on my Instagram stories, but I like cried it out and just did my entire tribute to Moose. Stop. on I've accepted. It's more hard on me than him. Like he's excited. He's like, well, if we find another one, it'll be okay. And mom, you know what's going to happen when the new Moose comes, Moose is going to come back. Cause he's going to know what told me? He's going come find friend. No, he told me he's going to be jealous that I got a new moose. He said, he's going to be jealous. So he's going to come back mom. And I'm like, I hope so. Anyways, I'm going to get off my soapbox because this is the season finale, you guys. And we have to rally. continue on because there is the happiness that brings of an end of season finale which is like all the fun stuff that we get to like recap and rewind on um but yeah listen we like to listen we like to make a short story long it is what it is here you guys there's just a lot going on so you guys are going to do the cruise for as you guys know this is our final episode of season seven
00:32:25
Speaker
Um, going to do the cruise for Memorial

Summer Plans for the Family and Friends

00:32:28
Speaker
day. yeah any plans for like beginning of summer, summer time? Um, yeah so this will be the first summer. Um, my parents moved back to Tallahassee. So this will be the first summer that we actually had to do like camps and stuff. Um, which that's another thing we had to move. Beckett's doing a tennis camp. We have to move that. Um, he's doing a karate camp. Avery, big, big news on that front. She is starting school. Um, so she's going to be starting in July because you know what? We kind of she was going to start in June, but we kind of like survived very well.
00:33:03
Speaker
me and Ben working from home this past month in of May with her home. Um, so we're like, okay, let's kind of like with everything going on, like, like let's push her back one more month. Sure. Um, cause one, that y'all all know daycare ain't cheap. Like we have discussed this times on this podcast. Um, but yeah, so she's going to start school. So that's going an exciting adventure. Stay tuned for, um,
00:33:27
Speaker
the recap of that when we come back. All the updates. Yeah. All the updates. And then, of course, if you know my family at all, you know that we're going to 30A. We go every year, sometimes multiples. I think we reached like a new record last year of how many times we went. A million times. Literally so many times. But we always do that. I'm trying to think if we have anything else planned. I don't think we really have anything else planned for the summer size app. But, of course, we're going to day by day. having the kids home and just soaking it all But what enough about me, you guys, I have literally talked, I'm looking at the timer. I've literally talked for maybe like we've been recording 34 minutes now. I think 30 minutes of that has been me. So please let's switch gears here. What's going on. The police give us some happy detail. Give us some Charlie stories. Like what's happening summertime there. I need some laughter in my life. Give me Charlie. That was the, that was the longest monologue we've ever had on this podcast. I'm going to commend you on that. No, I'm kidding. Um, let's see. You guys, you guys, you guys just like, like, it was just a story that's like, wait, like there's just, there's just so much happening. And like, that's your, it's okay. You want to like, just like a snapshot of my shot of my brain. that's the snapshot of, you know what saying? So this is what's happening. Yeah. Let's see what's happening over here. So my children continue to roll the house. Aubrey's so excited almost be done with school. She's in her final like exams stage and everything. So she's like counting down the days, which is so crazy. This year flew this school year, freaking flew by. And I'm like, I don't know up from down, like what just happened.
00:35:14
Speaker
And so So yeah, we've got a couple camps planned for Kennedy this summer. Kennedy's going to live her best life. So this is the first summer that she does not have um like summers. so I guess it's kind of like summer school, but like the school that they went to, like always just like continued year round and they had like, we they were there through the summer. So it was great. We had like daycare through the summer.
00:35:35
Speaker
This is the first year where she doesn't have it. And I'm like, oh my gosh, what do we do? So We're keeping her busy. as you guys know, my in-laws have a place up in Georgia. So she's going to go up with them right after school ends.
00:35:46
Speaker
She'll go up with them for two weeks and get to all. She's already made a list of all the things that she wants to do. She wants to like go tubing on the river. She wants to do the obstacle course up there. She wants to learn to sew. She wants to learn to bake. Like she just wants to do all this stuff. And she's going to have like my in-laws like full attention. So she is beyond. Oh, going to thrive.
00:36:09
Speaker
She's so excited. So she's going to do that for two weeks. And then we've got a couple of camps. We're going to go to my parents for the whole week of 4th of July. and that's, I think, I can't remember if mentioned it, but that's like my whole family. We have the two new babies now. So like literally all of us, all of us under one.
00:36:27
Speaker
roof is going to be, it's going to be wonderful. Like all the kids, all the things like, it's going to just like make me so happy, but I'm like, Oh my God, we got to like, we're all there for like a week.
00:36:39
Speaker
We got to be ready for just like, it's going to be a little bananas. So, um, and then I'm doing, ah um, I'm doing a girl's trip. One of my very good, very close friends lives over in California.
00:36:53
Speaker
And we are meeting in Chicago for a girls trip. And I am so excited. I'm so excited. um chicago Yeah. She like pitched the idea and she was like, let's do a girls trip. And I'm like, okay, like, sure. Like, let's, let's, let's do it. I was like, let's entertain the idea. Like, let's, what, what are we thinking?
00:37:11
Speaker
And then when she threw out Chicago, I was like, yeah, done, done. Like, absolutely. Yes. Cause I'm like, I don't know where we want to go. Like, I don't know. Like, I don't want to come over. you I don't want to do anything in Florida. Like, yeah We got to meet somewhere that's not like halfway, but like we got to kind of like meet. Yeah. Like same distance almost. Yeah. Like a little whatever.
00:37:29
Speaker
And so we're so excited. So we're doing that in June and i can't wait. And then Ari's got our Greece trip in June. Like โ€“ My summer calendar, I'm like, okay, well, summer's not here, but summer's already gone. Like all ah summer's, summer's spoken for summer is yeah spoken for.
00:37:47
Speaker
Yeah. So true. And we did forget to mention, we are, all we are also possibly taking uh, ah mom's moms and kids trip to visit one of our best friends in Fort Lauderdale. She has a beautiful home with a pool. Um, and thank the Lord, you guys, he should not, Becca should not have a cast by the strip because then I would have to literally cancel and reschedule. Yeah. Um, because he would be devastated to not hang in the pool with Kenny and be able to play and swim. But yeah, and I forgot to mention that. Like we,
00:38:20
Speaker
and I think you nailed it. Like summer is spoken for. Nobody reached out. Yeah. Summer's spoken for. Like, sorry, like there's no room left at the inn. And so like, that's just what it is. But yes, we are so excited. We'll be probably coming back around that time. think our trip is towards the end of July. And that's typically where we start the next season, which is ah season eight lucky number eight if you if you want to call it so season eight will be starting around the end of july and we'll see we'll see what it brings it's wild to me that we are eight seasons in and we still get on here and we chat and we still somehow come across like really great wines and we come across like
00:39:05
Speaker
shite just absolute fucking dog lines i'm so sorry for the language but like and we still are shocked every time we're like oh that's not good like we've never had a bad like we were just shocked that we happened to pick a bad wine so and this season we started off a little bit rocky with some of them yeah because we like the beginning was okay it's like in between Yes.

Season Reminiscence and Favorite Wines

00:39:30
Speaker
Yeah. We started off strong and then it was like bad, bad, bad. We were like, Oh my God, what is happening right now? And so we always like to, on the final episode, we like to just kind of go through our favorite red and our favorite white. So would you like to do that now? Yeah, let's go through it. Oh, do we or do we want to do our favorite memory first?
00:39:52
Speaker
Oh, favorite memory. Okay. We can do favorite memory. Great. Okay. Usually, yeah because I think we end it with like favorite wines and then we go into our corking. Oh, can that. Okay, great. We can do that. Let's do that.
00:40:04
Speaker
Okay. im you i I know my favorite memory. Like I knew before we even started, like I went back to refresh my mind to see if there was anything that would top my goals with this. Yeah. But to this day, I still bring it up. So it's only natural that my favorite memory of the season is Annie talking about Capri's. Yeah.
00:40:27
Speaker
Like I have not laughed so hard in a long time. i mean, we laugh all the time on this, but like the Capri conversation when she's like talking about the gaucho Capri's, the gaucho Capri's is what we're talking about. Like I, you guys amazing. Like it's hilarious. Like what episode, do you remember what episode that was on? That episode? I think, yes, I think it's on. I can't remember what that was. I'm going to go back. I can tell you.
00:40:56
Speaker
I can tell you guys which one is on because I'm pretty sure that is. And um by the way, yes, we are so behind on socials and posting. I promise you I will catch up. But as you just heard my 25 minute monologue of what's happening in my life, um I want to say.
00:41:14
Speaker
Not to put you on the spot, but that one was really funny. I had a feeling that was going to pick because we're like my guy, my guy. my eye Like that one's really funny, but I also really much. okay I'm not going to say what my second like potential was in case that's like your favorite.
00:41:31
Speaker
Like I don't want to. i had two but my one, my one was more of just like a, like, the whole, they the whole bit was just so funny is we were talking about Gerald the dolphin, you guys. And yes, we record this podcast, but Jemina's face the entire time you would have thought that like, like then every next word that came out of my mouth, she was like, I think in your head, you're like, she's like this isn't real. Like the whole, like her face was just so funny to me. And then once I was like, and that's the story of the Florida man that was found on the beach and Gerald the dolphin. And she was like, I'm sorry, I can't. And it was that way i'm glad you brought that that was my second that was my second one that was just so funny to me because then even as I'm like telling this story, I'm like, I sound like a frigging wackadoodle. sound cuckoo.
00:42:25
Speaker
It was I actually now that you're like, but now you're mentioning that I just thought of one more because my face on it was really good. ah But anyways, I did find it was episode four was the guy the the gaucho pants. If anyone's listened, um no notes, just chats. So funny. That was funny. That was so good. um But my other potential one that I really enjoy, mainly because we did post on social what my face was and was Annie thinking her Easter bunny this year was like the best thing she's ever seen. and I'm like, he's definitely one of his kind. Yeah, I was like, this one's really good. And you were like, oh, yeah.
00:43:09
Speaker
I'm not sure. He's definitely one of his kind. It's one of those things that's like when someone like shows you a picture of their baby and it's like, oh my gosh, you had a baby. Yeah. So, gosh, this is the cutest thing I've ever seen. Right, right, right.
00:43:24
Speaker
yeah Okay, well, I almost picked the, um, the goldfish when we were like talking about snacks. And I'm like, if we if we were like a like, internet, not international, but like, it's like, if we were like, by like, a big media company, I'm like, I think we would have gotten a cease and desist from goldfish because we were like, because I was like, but it's like, I mean, it's not the snack I'd pick every day, but like, they're good. But like, it's not how like, we just like kept digging the hole.
00:43:49
Speaker
There's no coming out of it. Which, by the way, my household fully gets run on goldfish. So, like, please forgive us. Yeah. I'm like, you guys, I have a pantry of, like, the rainbow, the extra cheesy, the regular. The gigantic packs where you can put them in the thing. I've got everything.
00:44:08
Speaker
Toy Story, Pokemon version, Princess version, Mickey version. You name it. the Goldfish, please just know we love you. And our intent was pure. it was more for like โ€“ I'm going to i'm gonna stop. you know what? We're digging it back. We're making it โ€“ we're trying to get out of it, but we're just โ€“ I think we're going deeper again. โ€“ We actually clean what is it see we found this we found the original hole and we're continuing to dig. We didn't get to finish. Yeah.
00:44:40
Speaker
Oh, you guys, listen, we're like a dog with a bone. We take a joke and we're like, yo, you think this is funny? We're going to keep running. We're going. We're still going. We're running the extra mile with it. we always, always will.
00:44:54
Speaker
my God. Now I'm like, I'm sweating because I'm laughing so hard about that. Okay. I know. Um, okay. So i'm again, good times, so many good laughs and so many good times. Like, I hope you guys got to listen to those episodes and got giggles out of them too, because they're just so funny and it's just, I don't know. And i mean yeah and our our goal isn't to make you laugh. I mean, yeah, no, our goal isn't to make you laugh. Our goal is to make this conversation like you're just like relatable.
00:45:21
Speaker
relatable you're like listening to like friends and you're like oh my god i feel the same way or like you know or maybe you think something we said is like stupid and that's okay too because sometimes the stuff we do say is stupid i mean i can't say that about you but like my i can speak for myself and say yes oh no we definitely say stupid things right for and like there's stuff i listen back to i'm like i either misspoke that i miss said that i There's like so many times where i'm like, I should probably mention that on the next episode. And I never remember to. Like, there's just so many things I hear. And I'm like, that that didn't pair how like in my head it did. And now listening to it, I'm like, that doesn't sound right.
00:45:58
Speaker
So. No, it's it's literally we are, we record this and then we are like when it actually gets released or even like the next day where like the people that get drunk and have to like text the next day and like, all right, who's mad at me and why do I need to apologize? Like, what did I do? um We're like the prime example.
00:46:20
Speaker
we We are. We are. But, you know, we're also our our own like biggest fans. Like we, this is so, this is the most fun that we have like all week and again we live and i live in tampa jamina's in orlando so we don't see each other that much this is just a good fun event sesh with all of our listeners and all of our wine so okay with the wines are we going red or white first have a feeling that both of ours are so i have picked it back up for one of my wines because i just listen i'm not dumb i know that
00:46:55
Speaker
I mean, we're going to pick the same one, I'm sure. pretty Listen. Well, it's always like when we have a season where we have a lot of bad ones, there's only slim pickings. And chances are going to pick the same favorite. Yes. But I say we start with the white. um My favorite white, which let me make sure I'm saying it correctly.
00:47:19
Speaker
Hold on. Hold, please. I got to go to it. then I know what it is. Yeah. I'm sure everybody knows what it is. The Zuccardi Torrentes, obviously it's like, the food it's a longer name than that. it's like Familia Zuccardi or something. Um, but it was the white wine that we did three, four ish episodes ago. i want to say was three, i think it was like three episodes ago. was episode Um,
00:47:46
Speaker
It was fantastic wine. It was nines and above you guys from both of us. So, um, yeah, that's my number one. Well, let me guess. What's yours? Is this the one you have a backup for? or It actually is the one I have a backup for because I knew immediately. I'm like, we both were so blown away by this wine. So I, that was also my number one, but my backup was the please hold as I'm pulling it up.
00:48:14
Speaker
It was the Honig. Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Oh, the Honig good. Remember that one? And the the bottle was so- I think it was eight-ish? Higher eights, right? Eight, eight, and eight, seven. Yeah. We really liked that one.
00:48:28
Speaker
And my thing with that one, if you noticed in the name, I don't think we actually talked about this in the episode, but the Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. You and i are big Sauvignon Blanc girlies, but- Ours are more like New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs, right? So rating this one so highly was I mean, that was a fantastic wine as well.
00:48:50
Speaker
And I'm going assume that our red may be the same. So I will go ahead and say my red first and we'll just, we'll see if it's similar.
00:49:03
Speaker
Sorry, I just have to charge the computer as we discuss. You got the low power mode? Yeah, I got the energy saver turning on. It's like, no not right now. So my, I'm going to let you plug in. I'm plugged and loaded, baby.
00:49:20
Speaker
Locked. Yes, there you go. Locked and loaded. Here we go. So my favorite red was actually, we had my favorite red and my favorite white back to back. My favorite red was the Banshee Pinot Noir that we had literally on episode 14. So episode 13 was the Zuccardi.
00:49:39
Speaker
And then the Banshee Pinot Noir was that next episode. And it's my favorite wine red wine we had this season. Well, and know this is going come as a shock.
00:49:50
Speaker
Ditto. Guys, listen, if you listen to a song or even if this is like, your first episode, like you'll probably see some similarities and we're like, Oh yeah, me too. Oh yeah, me too. But if you've listened to us long enough, that shouldn't shock anyone that we're like, Oh, me too.
00:50:08
Speaker
It's just, listen, it is what it is. I think what's shocking about that one is because we have turned so much into a cab person that that one kind of reeled us back to where it all began with the race, you know, yeah a Pinot Noir. Yeah.
00:50:22
Speaker
Which was my favorite. I don't think I can confidently say Pinot Noir is my favorite anymore. Like I'm very much, I feel like more of a like Cabernet kind of gal. Yeah. Yeah. Kind of graduated a little bit, graduated a little bit, but a man, I'll go back to this, um, Banshee Pinot Noir. And I feel like we've like, again, through seven seasons, I feel like we've gotten a good little like arsenal, I guess you could say of wines where you are like, Oh, what do I want to bring? Like, what am I eating? Or what am I bringing to somebody's house?
00:50:52
Speaker
And we know ones that we can just immediately grab and know that it's a good wine. Like you don't have to look it up. but We've had enough over these seven seasons that we feel so great about that. We can just easily grab a bottle of wine, which is like before this, I was Googling stuff. I was like going in and asking someone at the store like this. it I just love being able to go in and grab my own bottle and being like, okay, that's it. That's all.
00:51:18
Speaker
That's it. We're done here. We're done here. We're done here. Um, but yeah, it does not come as a shock to anyone. No, we are the same person.
00:51:29

no we share the same sentiments. I promise you, Annie was probably going to cry herself to sleep about moose missing as well. So same way. again Yeah. Listen, we, we feel all of our feels and we are each other's, um, what's it called? Those little voodoo dolls. Oh my God. We are each other. yeah Yes. We feel everything. We're twin. We're each other's twin flames. So, you know, ah truly it is. It is what it is But as we wrap up.

season seven any final thoughts any words of usual we have to always give our final speech and i honestly wish i would have like chat gbt'd like a speech like a finale speech um i'm gonna take note of that to do that next season and yeah yeah next time intrigued at the vibe that chat or claude or whoever um wants to type out for us but you know, as every season comes to close, it's just such a fun reminder of like the why we do this. And you already kind of touched base on that. You know, it's a fun escape for us.

Season Reflection and Listener Gratitude

00:52:33
Speaker
It's a fun way to try new wines. It's a hobby. It's a way for us to vent, like clearly vent, discuss and make things more relatable to the people that do listen to us, which we still do. We have so many people still always listening to us and we're so grateful for all of you and for all of you like sharing wines with us and like recommending wines with us because we do listen, we do take that in consideration. And you know what, I'm gonna go ahead and give a shout out to us because we um carried the season on our racks. We did not have any guests this season again. and that wasn't, you know, I guess purposeful is that the word. Like we do have seat guests lined up um for next season. So I think that's going be great. There was just a lot of things because life happens, you know, and we're very flexible when it comes to that. We don't expect our guests to drop their life of what's going on um to come do this. Obviously, like we have guys, we have plenty to talk about, like all the things, plethora of things to talk about. But you know it's it's nice that everyone still enjoys just listening to our chatty chats which is probably like become our favorite thing that we've done this season and we're going to continue it in future seasons as well um but yeah like thank you guys all for always supporting us and even if you listen to half the show make sure you listen to the whole thing though because sometimes we throw really funny things in there like annie said like
00:53:59
Speaker
We like blackout and don't think it's funny sometimes the next day, but no, it's, they are, they're just as funny. So yeah, I guess just, and thank, thanks to you for always whining and venting with me, like whining and whining. Is there anything better than whining and whining with your best friend? Like, I don't think so. So.
00:54:16
Speaker
We can definitely be that person that you listen to and you can wine and wine with us anytime. DM us your wine. No, maybe we need to start like a new segment. DM us your wine of the week and we'll discuss it like publicly. We won't, we'll keep you anonymous, but we'll discuss the wine and how we relate to it as well.
00:54:33
Speaker
Okay. I like that. Like come up with like a new little segment. Maybe that'll be our our goal is to come up with a fun little segment that we can start bringing into um the seasons and some of the episodes, but you basically, shocker, took a lot of the words right out of my mouth. I was going to say that, one, I am very proud of this season. It's like, you guys, it's hard sometimes to get on here and be like, hey, what are we going to chat about? like ah Let's do like some pop culture is always like easy and fun, but like because when we want to focused topics or whatever, and listen, this is about a 15, 16 episode season, and
00:55:12
Speaker
we always have the best time. I have loved us chatting more. I think it just is such a different, like fresh perspective on just like who we are as, as people. And I think people, our listeners can relate more just kind of when we speak on just like a hangout, like this is the same way we would speak to each other if we were sitting across from each other, on the couch. and you know, that real where it's like,
00:55:37
Speaker
what does it say? It's like a girl will be like, um I really needed this. And it's just like a glass of wine with her best friend chatting. And it's like, that's literally like we like this podcast is that real for me, if that makes sense. And if you guys know the real that I'm talking about, like that's what this is for me. And it's so wonderful.
00:55:58
Speaker
and we have the very, very, very best listeners and nothing brings a smile to my face more than someone listening to an episode and like shooting a message or shooting a text over like when Terrence sent the text, she like, Oh my God, I love the nod pod. Like it's something as simple as that. yeah You immediately have put a smile on my face, knowing that you're listening, relating, hearing us, enjoying us. Like that's, that's what this is all about. Right. So thank you guys for listening. i can't, I literally,
00:56:33
Speaker
lucky number Stephen season seven is now coming to a close, but before it completely comes to a close, we have to, um, raise this wine.

Hottie Blanc Wine Tasting and Episode Finale

00:56:44
Speaker
but I do have to say before we rate the wine, um, I, and I, I think I say this almost every season you came to me with this idea.
00:56:52
Speaker
I said, what the hell or am I going to talk about? Like who the hell is going to want to listen to yeah whatever comes out of my mouth, whatever comes out of your mouth. And here we are seven season seasons later. And apparently people do want to hear and we do want to have fun and we do want to chat. And so I love you for that. I appreciate you for that. And you're my therapist. So thank you so much. Happy to be a therapist. I will maybe need to start charging you, but that's different discussion. That's a discussion offline. We'll chat about that later. numbers. We'll chat numbers. But no, I agree. Like, I'm so glad you took the leap of faith in this because I think it's...
00:57:29
Speaker
Not only are we each other's therapists, I think this is our therapy too, being able to just outwardly discuss things. um And yeah, i I don't think there's anything else to say besides discussing this final wine of the season and seeing how we braid it, which...
00:57:46
Speaker
I have very thoroughly enjoyed it, sipping on it as we've been chit-chatting here. I have had to take a couple sips of water, and you can probably see my cheeks are getting a little red because it it definitely has the spice. um It has spice. I have been topping mine off. And so I think I'm just like, I'm used because at first I was like, oh my God, i'm not gonna be able to do this. But I have now just kind of been like, I mean, I haven't drank like, I mean, not that much. Right. Yeah. No, but just like little topper, like topper offs. And so
00:58:20
Speaker
This is good. I would definitely, I think the frozen mango in here would be outstanding. Outstanding. Yeah. I definitely think it would bring the citrus back like more out than the spice. I think it would neutralize like so spicy, but like neutralize it in a better way almost yeah just let extra like actually like that level level of that frozen jalapeno brings so savvy be you know like like this is clearly like you have to remember too like the reason this is obviously spicier is because this is infused for like lord knows what the infusion process gosh yeah
00:58:57
Speaker
It's probably all just the seeds. just Just packed in there. Packed in there. So, yeah, she's she's spicy, but she's she's good. I love the bottle. The bottle is so cute. It's so fun. And this is, like, a brand new wine. Like, this is brand new. I think this is something to be so fun to bring to a girl's night. And it's like, oh, this, like, this is exciting. Like, it's a fun little, like,
00:59:21
Speaker
yeah A little wine to bring. So, you know, just a little tip A little spice. Spice it up. Spice up your life. Everyone remembers, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think last season, at some point, when we discussed tattoos, i I mentioned that I would get a little chili pepper as a tattoo. One, it just describes I'm i'm an Aries, so I'm naturally spicy. I'm a Latina, so that I'm instantly spicy. And I like spice.
00:59:51
Speaker
So I feel like, and this bottle reminds me of that. And I was like, oh my gosh, look, there's that chili pepper. Cute. That little chili pepper is popping up again. Listen, you let me know. I'll come hold your hands. I'll come hold your hand. I'm a believer of signs. So I feel like it's like a full circle moment ending it with this wine. But with that being said, do you know you're corking?
01:00:13
Speaker
I do. i do. have one more sip. I think I know my corking too, though.
01:00:20
Speaker
She's spicy. Ready? I love her, but she's spicy. She's a spicy girl. She's a spicy girly. Okay. I think that I am ready. Yeah. I'm definitely ready. It's so funny how, like, I, again, i love the spice, but I can definitely see it in my cheek. Like, like there's, there's spice. little A little peek. A little peek. Cheekies. Okay. I am going to give this a seven, Okay.
01:00:47
Speaker
Okay. I really liked it. I thought it was very good. i will get it again. i really want to do it with the mango. And I think that would change it for me. But for like the wine as is, because it's got a, it's like, if like I'm not big on, it's pretty, but it's got a good kick to It definitely has a good kick.
01:01:05
Speaker
Yeah. So be prepared for that. Mine's a little higher, obviously, because I like, Yes. A good kick. It like, you know, my face may tell you otherwise with the red cheeks, but I do actually enjoy matt So my corking is actually an 8.1, which is not super far off. Like it's not so it's obviously like a little bit higher um because she's, she's good. Like I, this you guys on Taco Tuesday will How fun. Yeah. Will thrive. and yeah like a girl's night of like, you know, like your girlfriends like a good spice and a wine or, you know, a spicy margarita vibe.
01:01:43
Speaker
Yeah. Imagine this as a salsa or like they're a little lime LaCroix in there. I'm getting somewhere, you know? Okay. Okay. Like a little spritzer. Yeah. Like a little spritzer and like frozen grapes. Like if you don't want like the mango for like the extra sweetness of citrusy to pop out, do frozen grapes. Like even that I think would settle out the spice if you're worried about that. we'll test We'll test this this summer. We'll test this. We'll test this. No problem. We'll be happy to report back and give you what we rate the spice levels with every type of frozen fruit.
01:02:17
Speaker
A hundred percent. Oh my gosh. That's so funny. But this is like almost sad too. I mean, we love a much needed mental break, you know, that's from anything from your normal job or even a hobby. um But we also like, we'll miss, you know, talking with you guys, if you will, talking, chatting, having you guys hear us. I don't know what the technology is here. Speaking out to the universe and then knowing that you guys will be listening to this, like in the future. Yeah.
01:02:47
Speaker
And then listening to ourselves and being so funny and being like, I hope they like this too. So it's, listen, you guys, we just had the best time. And again, thank you so much for listening.
01:02:58
Speaker
Meet us back here for season eight at the end of July. bringing on, we're bringing, we're bringing in more guests. We're, we're going to listen. It's, it's, it was lucky number season seven. i mean, lucky eight. Like, so we're still going with the vibing. Yeah. We're still going to be having a good time.
01:03:16
Speaker
We're still vibing. and Maybe there'll be like a new, you know how it was like six, seven, maybe there'll be like a new terminology by the time gets season eight. All the terminologies. we'll We'll make sure we get all us involved to keep us trending on the terminology of what's going on. But with that.
01:03:33
Speaker
