Speaker: Hello Purple Door Podcast Family, this is Alistair here, one of your hosts. Before we get into this week's episode, I wanted to let you know that unfortunately we had some technical issues and the first half of Bamboozled, our trivia contest that we have at the start of every episode, did not record properly. So this week we are just going to start the episode in the middle of Bamboozled. I apologize for that. to The rest rest of the recording seems to be okay, but we want to keep the episodes up to our usual high standards. Again, we're sorry for the missing section of Bamboozled, but we hope you enjoy the rest of the episode.

Speaker: Okay. and All right. Al. Yes. There is a pillow on their chair that used to be a white chair in the girls' apartment, but now it's like a brown kind of chair, the big comfortable chair. hu Yeah.

Speaker: And there's a or a ah a pillow on that that you see a number of different times. What color and what's on it?

Speaker: What design? Man, I've got no idea. That's a great question. I am just sticking with a theme or sticking. Oh, oh, which tells me maybe it's it's red, red with hearts, red with.

Speaker: Is that it a heart? Oh, yeah. plastic stick All right. So I make it that I have got three and a half out of five and you have three out four. So so this is it.

Speaker: Oh, gosh. All right. I've got two questions. I've got three questions, and actually, and I think they're all sort of similar difficulty. um What do we find out is three blocks away from Central Park? Oh, Starbucks. a Starbucks it is, and you yeah you get the W's. Yes! Man, that was close and terrifying. That was. Okay, let me just ask you a question for fun, then. Yes.

Speaker: What does the Etch-a-Sketch say later in the episode? It says something along the lines of, I love you, man. That's exactly what it says. Yeah, with a little drawing. A little drawing of Joey, I think.

Speaker: Uh-huh. Well, I'll throw my two extras at you. um Why does Chandler say he watches Baywatch? ah For the article. It does indeed.

Speaker: And then specifically, where did Kathy learn to cut hair? Oh, at her aunt's dog shop. Indeed. See, you would have won if I'd gone with any of those questions. Yeah. So normal service is resumed. You are 2-1 up in season four.

Speaker: Dang. cannot believe that two of my... So I had seven questions. Okay. One of them was like a match, right? Finish this line. Little tiny Tarzan yeah swinging from a nose here. Okay. Okay.

Speaker: And then the other two were from the scene that was cut. Isn't that funny? Because i didn't look at the at the script before or during watching it. Right. And so i was like, dang. It's funny how that happens once in a while.

Speaker: Yeah. But, like, it's ah it's a full-on scene, which I thought was very appropriate and funny. And um' it's kind of just so i'm I'm a little, honestly, disappointed that it got cut.

Speaker: Yeah, it's ah I look forward to hearing about it when it's ah it drops in this episode. um So we start off this episode, we're in the girls' apartment. Chandler comes in he saw Kathy naked. um I didn't catch what he said. Again, I'll excuse any, please excuse any mistakes had Lini on my lap. We're feeding her dinner, things like that. Does he say it was it was torture or he was in hell or something? Yeah, he says that it was torture. And... ah Ross was like, well, if we go to war and you get taken prisoner, yeah you're in for rude awakening. That's right. ah

Speaker: so yeah yeah so good and Chandler um he now thinks that he thinks Kathy likes him too he thinks there's a an energy right a spark of some sort ah um and then jumps up on the kitchen counter talks for a bit and as he leaves everyone was able to see right up in there up his robe um we talked about dressing gowns or robes before? Do you and old Mr. Wilson own one each? Or what's the robe situation in your house?

Speaker: Okay, so i i I don't know if I've told you this or not. But um i used to have a robe and then I threw it out because I decided that I just wanted one of those like super duper duper soft ones like, you know, and I was like, my so my robes is not soft. And then Joseph had a robe and it's just like a navy blue terrycloth robe that he literally never wears. He never uses. And so I had thrown mine out thinking that they would get me a really, really soft robe because that's like the quintessential mother Christmas present or something. Right. And I didn't get it and I didn't get it. And I think two years went by of me hijacking his um his terrycloth robe and then a friend of mine at work.

Speaker: just randomly one day she was like I saw this it's too big but you needed it and I opened it up and it is one of those super duper duper soft robes but it's a Slytherin wizarding robe but it's it's a bathrobe right and so it is so soft and it's adorable and it's cute and it's a little bit too big and it's perfect and so um so then i threw out joseph's terry cloth that was the end of that one yeah and so we have one rope in our house and it is that one it's that one awesome i love it

Speaker: yeah Yeah. Do you do y'all doall have robes? So the reason I thought about this in this scene was Kate and I have one each. I've got kind of like a thick navy blue, I don't know what material it is, but it's pretty thick. So thick, in fact.

Speaker: um We've got kind of blackout curtains in our bedroom, but they're about two inches too short from one of the sides. So one day we hung my, you know, I'm just going throw my my dressing gown, my robe up there. And man alive, the room goes pitch black with that thing hanging there. So I leave it there because I don't wear often. And it just cuts at any light from the room. But once in a while, like we'll forget, I forgot to throw something in the dryer.

Speaker: So got to run through the house. I will borrow Kate and I look exactly like Richard. Remember when he and Ross bump into each other? Because hers is like halfway down the thigh length, pink with a little ruffle.

Speaker: And I'll have to chuck on once in a while. It's it's quite a sight to behold. Yeah. But, you know, we rarely wear them, but just, yeah, it's usually we've forgotten to throw something in the dryer is ah is that situation. um But, yeah, we yeah let's see. We go to Central Park. Joey is setting up a date with Casey, and Chandler is very excited. He thinks he must have broken up with Kathy.

Speaker: This is it. This is Chandler's chance. But, no, Joey's going to just date them both for a little bit. Yeah. um i mean despite chandler thinking that she gets joey even though she just saw the back of his head right yes she's smart and funny and she gets you she gets you yeah and then he's like look you just gotta pick a lane and he's like who's a lane Yes. Oh, my gosh. Oh, oh Joey.

Speaker: Oh, Joey. He's just he's got yeah too too much going on in the dating department at this point. um We go up to the girls' apartment. This is where Phoebe is singing about Tony Tarzan swinging on her nose here, but gets gets stuck into the musical transition.

Speaker: And again, I was watching part of this with the closed captioning not the sound, but think this is where Ross kind goes, duh, duh, duh, and then just goes into it. Is that right?

Speaker: Yes, yes. yeah and Because she can't figure out how to transition into the next verse. Right. And so, yeah, and then she's like, how do you know about whatever that tune or whatever is? Yes. Yeah, you know, and then he talks about the sound. And yeah they get into all of that. Okay. yeah Oh, Wolves is a main minor coffee fix. I'm sorry about that. I just got really excited because I, have we talked about this? Do you play an instrument?

Speaker: I don't know if we've talked off or on air. I'm a bit of a jack of all trades, master of none. i played the trombone to fairly, I mean, looking back, a fairly high level all through high school. I could have done that at college, went another path.

Speaker: Like I can tinker on a guitar. I can tinker on a bass guitar. I can tinker on a piano. Trombone was far and away what I excelled in. played in various jazz bands and all sorts of things. And it's one of those things I think about it quite a lot. Like, all right, I need to set aside some time. In fact, quick shout out to my good friend, Rowan, who I went to high school with. um He was in the brass band, the school brass band with me, and has just recently picked up his, oh, suddenly I've forgotten it. I think it's the trumpet. um again 25 plus years later and has joined a band is super excited to join this brass band and we've kind of we we stayed in touch over the years but we've been talking a lot about getting back into music well they're rowing yep

Speaker: ah Very good good. for you. I love that for him. That's awesome. his ah i mean trying to The story is basically his partners in the military and he is somehow now connected to the military brass band and this, that, and the other. And it's just kind of happened and he's so excited about it.

Speaker: Oh, good. So I'm looking forward to hearing. I've said my thing saying I hope that yeah we can get some recordings so we can We can hear this. Now, how about you? I'm not sure of your musical past. No. No, no. I played ah in the bell choir at church.

Speaker: The end. The end. Hey, that's it. That's all I got for you. It's something. Yeah. And I, I, I wish if I could go back. Right. And there's not many things that I would do any different.

Speaker: right Right. Right. But whenever I was going into middle school, I really wish I would have just done band. Yeah. Played whatever instrument it was that was, and just, just try it out. See how it goes. Yeah, I think that i think it's a fairly common regret that lot of people yeah wish I hadn't given that. And I've still got, I've got my trombone, I've got my bass guitar, I've got a you know normal six string acoustic guitar, I just need to all right commit to, you know, and hour an hour a week or something, because I really enjoy it when I start playing.

Speaker: yeah okay well there you go i we have house full of ah guitars and bass guitars and i don't even know what all we've got but a lot like joseph collects them does he play he knows how to play right does he play no understood um ah but um i i yeah you know this is yet another thing so we're going to do improv yes and then we're going to hold each other accountable and so just spend an hour a week and you can just refine and i will learn there we go and then we can discuss it how's it going yes okay i like that where with that is on our list i like it yeah

Speaker: Yeah, I mean, Ross is showing us even if you you need to go and dust off the instruments, you can always fire them back up. yes he is do Yeah, yeah, yeah. and And find your sound. Find your sound. I think to me, that's is one of the classic friends lines is finding your sound. Yeah. Well, Ross is all set up. He's ready to play. I did know that Chandler is drinking Yoohoo again. he is.

Speaker: And then I love the way Ross keeps stalling. He's nervous. You know, he keeps needing to pause to explain that, you know, his, his sound, his music. And Chandler just tells him, Oh God, just play or something. My wordless sound poems. I'm like, my What a line. And when he plays, it reminds me of when he plays the bagpipes because Phoebe, or Lisa Kudrow, is yeah yeah so well. and And Jennifer Aniston is dying in the background. oh yeah

Speaker: And her hand is over her mouth. And I was, I watched that and I was like, I wonder if she isn't just... Oh, that i that is Friends folklore that is 100% true. If Jennifer Aniston is ever covering her mouth, it's because she's breaking. yeah um She could she could notoriously could not hold it in if she started to break. So she just covers her mouth. Like when Ross plays the bagpipes, she wasn't supposed to be laughing and you could see her just just dying. So, yeah, she is completely breaking character. um

Speaker: and phoebe but Phoebe is in awe Ross gets all excited and does he leave to get another tape I forgot what he kind of leaves to get yeah to get the other disc that has the other sounds and his stupid like whenever he's like oh ah yeah you know um oh my gosh it's so ridiculous it's ridiculous but it's so iconic like the way the way he does it yeah um

Speaker: Let's see, we go over to the boys' apartment now. Chandler is watching Baywatch, um just for the articles, of course. ah Nothing more, not Yasmeen Gleith. Kathy comes in. Joe is not there yet. um I love this. i do I do like them together at this point. They're great. Chandler offers their seat in the boat. He prefers it in the stern of the boat. ah ah He's so uncomfortable. Joey calls. I think at this point, saying he's just going to be late because he needed to get transmission fluid. Is that right? From yeah Casey's car. yeah um

Speaker: Again, i just picture the village kind of lower Manhattan. Who's driving around for a date? Okay, that's what I was wondering too. I'm like, who has the car and who's driving and what's happening here? Yeah, it's like Carol and Susan have a car and always think that's, I mean it just seems so unnecessary. with i mean, who knows where do they work, where Susan works or something, but right so The expense of storing and parking a car in Manhattan is is what you and I would pay for a house.

Speaker: it's it's just It just seems unnecessary. Chandler said he had a what haircut appointment. Kathy's like, it looks great, but it got cancelled. So she offers to cut his hair um and he sort of slightly reluctantly accepts, but is as long as she doesn't make his tail too poofy.

Speaker: um which I do like that line. um And it kind of, it for me, kind of cuts to, she's cutting his cuts to him getting his hair cut. She's getting very close in his little personal space, making sure things are level.

Speaker: And there's a moment, there's an awkward moment. And then suddenly the phone rings and it's Joey took the transmission fluid back to the car and the transmission wasn't there. don't know how that happens but it had fallen out um he said i just figured we had hit a dog yeah that's right um so yeah i've just written down that joey ends up speaking to them both kathy ends up you know so fill in the blanks what i'm missing here kathy ends up leaving comes back though because she forgot her person they end up kind of kissing in the doorway and then into the apartment

Speaker: um chandler pulls away saying that they can't do this and kathy reveals she has feelings for chandler too yeah at this point and she can't pretend that she doesn't have them okay yes go ahead okay so there's like it's weird because it they cut out part of it okay because she comes back in right because she forgot her purse yes and then they kissed And then she's like, no, I really did forget my purse.

Speaker: And then she grabs her brown purse and then she leaves. And then he walks over to the door and he goes, a and then he goes, are you still there? And she goes, do you, did you see that? And he goes, um he goes, are you still there? And she goes, yes. Yes.

Speaker: And then he opens the door back up and then they kiss. Yes. And then they kiss. yeah um Yes. yeah I did have that. like he He knew she was right there. She hadn't left. yeah um We go over to Central Park. Ross is playing his sounds and Phoebe still just loves his music.

Speaker: But you know I guess Ross was kind of opening for him but she's like, no, I can't go on. i can't follow that. um She just thinks he's he's too good. um And it would be a letdown, I think, if she got ah went up on the stage after being blown away by these amazing sounds.

Speaker: um ah it's just It's just, it tracks. It tracks for Phoebe that something so unearthbound and just peculiar would would resonate with her musical soul.

Speaker: Like so much. So much. So much. it' Oh, my. Yes. She's just, it's so good. um Again, if I'm feeling like I may be missing things, but we go over to the boys apartment.

Speaker: Chandler's obviously very nervous. I think he's kind of pacing around. and Joey comes in and Chandler reveals the new chairs, the entertainment center, all of that. But before that, he opens the door and it's got the chain lock. Yeah. I missed what happened. Yeah, he goes, oh, no, I've locked myself out again. like like how could you do that? that and Yeah, and then Chandler opens it, and that's whenever.

Speaker: The big reveal. The big reveal. and We've got this Sita, Rosita the Sita. Yes, yes. And that's how they ended up with the brown chairs. With the brown chairs, that's right, because they needed to get rid of the black ones. I think we discussed that because of the lighting. Yeah. um So, and I can't, I didn't quite write down how this happened, but Joey ends up thinking Chandler has a crush on Casey. Yeah. um Because he keeps on bringing up Casey. Right, okay. He keeps bringing her up and bringing her up, bringing her up. And then he's like, yeah.

Speaker: I think that, so you gotta, you gotta, I can set all up. And he's like, everything's falling into place. Yeah. Right, that's right.

Speaker: Poor old Chandler. um We go back over to Central Park and Ross, I think this is where Ross tells Phoebe he's not going to play anymore because he doesn't want to take anything away from from her sound, I suppose. um Chandler comes in and tells every everyone that's there that he has kissed Kathy.

Speaker: um He doesn't know what to do. I just wrote down that nobody was really helpful at all, but they all tell him that he does have to tell Joey Yeah, none of them. None of them were helpful.

Speaker: right Because they were like, and Ross is even like, you know, no, if you had told him first, Joey would have stepped aside. And he's like, why didn't you tell me that? Why didn't you tell me that? And then they all start talking because then Phoebe's like,

Speaker: Yeah, like he did say that to me. I did think that was a good idea. So they all were like discussing what Chandler should do, but forgot to tell Chandler. Yeah, just forgot the most important bit of all of this and letting Chandler know.

Speaker: But Ross, you know, very generous, very kind, what big hearted guy, offers to write a song about this. Just fantastic. I was going ask you in the next scene, what is Joey watching on the television when Chandler comes in to talk to him? Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman. That is the Wonder Woman of my childhood.

Speaker: I love that. Oh, my gosh. I just, she was so awesome. And I was like, my hair was not as dark as it is now, and thanks to hair dye. um But I was like, I've got blue eyes. I'm going to have darker hair.

Speaker: I could be Wonder Woman. I could be her. She was just so cool. I'm going horrify you because I've never really seen Is it Linda Carter?

Speaker: Is that her name? It is Linda Carter. was taking a chance there. Our whole friendship might have been on the line, I think. No, I got that wrong. Never, never. Because I've never seen it. I know it from Frasier, really. Roz dresses up as her. Yeah. Because you got to dress up in that episode, one of your heroes.

Speaker: And she dresses up as the Linda Carter. Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman. Absolutely. room full of heroes superb fraser episode um but joey ends up telling chandler i think that kathy broke up with him after acting class that right but time out i have a question for you please okay what's sambucha sambucha sambuca margarita what is that what is that i know i've heard of sambuca but i don't even know what that is Sambuca is one of those things. I do i feel like it's really a really cheap spirit. was it's It's one of those things that I think of.

Speaker: I've never drank it as a 90s drink. Like they talk about a six pack of Zima ah in one episode. I'd never heard of Zima either. And I don't know Sambuca still exists. you know what what but I'm just doing a quick Google while we're here. Sambuca is oh it's still a popular Italian anise. It's a bit of anise-y flavored.

Speaker: like Your sweet taste, black liquor. That's why I've never drunk a black licorice aroma. Cannot stand black licorice. Oh my God. bet you that is disgusting with margarita mix. Yeah, sounds horrible. But oh yeah, still very much available. I don't drink, so it's just not. But yeah, 15 bucks for a big bottle. It's almost too cheap.

Speaker: Like, it's worryingly cheap. Yeah.

Speaker: I like a good deal, but sometimes things are just too cheap. Yeah. Yeah. um So yeah, that's right. He's drinking that, but then Joey ends up telling Chandler, and correct me if I'm wrong here, but Kathy broke up with him in acting class.

Speaker: And then I think he kind of says, does the Joey then say something like, but you might have some competition. because she he thinks there's somebody else channel tells him what happens is that right yeah that's exactly what happens but it's funny because okay you don't really ever see joey like really drinking right so he's obviously sad about this situation but i thought it was so funny whenever he talks about her breaking up with him Because he's like, he broke up after class and he said, like, he thought she was doing like a bit or a scene or something. And it said, so I was letting people watch us. And I was like, oh my God, how embarrassing.

Speaker: How embarrassing. But yeah, so Chandler, you know, explains to her, ah ah to him how, um how, Yeah.

Speaker: how he's feeling about Kathy. And then that you're exactly right. That's whenever Joey says, you know, well, you might have some competition. That's it. That's it. And then Chandler says that I think once Joey say, oh, did you sleep with her? Chandler's like, no, I just kissed her. Well, that's worse. It's the same. And he's like, yes. It's just sad. It's so sad. And then Joey had made Chandler bread in the new bread maker.

Speaker: Yes. Yeah. Oh, and what I should have said, do you know what what kind of bread?

Speaker: Cinnamon raisin. Yeah. um We talked about raisins. Raisins are rude. Raisins I've got no time for. none No, absolutely zero. and None at all. Disgusting, rude imposters. Just use chocolate chips in There's nothing worse, and now I mean nothing worse, than bying biting into a cookie that you think is chocolate chip and it ends up having raisins in it. Just a gooey, chewy. Yeah. And then bread, come on. Put some chocolate chips in there. That's right. A little dessert bread, you will. I'm all over it. Exactly.

Speaker: oh let's see we end up over in central park um ross is playing for one last time i love that monica has earplugs in um she's there oh okay so sorry no for uh the scene that got cut i'm following along and i skipped right over it so whenever ra it's between it's right before that last scene that we went over right And so Rachel is out to dinner by herself.

Speaker: And she's got like a Caesar salad in front of her She's obviously at an Italian restaurant. She's got like a little roll and ah water. And it's yeah as she's sitting there and um she's breaking up with herself in her head.

Speaker: Telling herself, you know, like, I just, we we need to be going out, seeing other people and just seeing what happens. And, you know, she's like, well, so she's having this crazy conversation in her head. And then that's the, doctor the two doctors come in.

Speaker: And the doctor that she had talked to at the coffee house. And she saw him and she was like, oh, hey, guy And he's like, hi, Rachel. And she says, you know, I, am ah turns out I am free on Sunday. And he goes, oh, he's like, well, that's too bad. Because, you know, ah or she asked him, like, what are you doing? And he's like, oh, I work at the hospital right across the street. And so she says, you know, I'm i'm actually free Sunday. and he's like, oh, i I just told them that I can work this weekend. She's like, OK, well, maybe next weekend. And he's like, sure. Yeah. Well, then and hit is she's like, OK, well, you you know, I'll talk to you later. And he's like, sounds good. And they like shake hands. It's real weird. right And then in his head, he's thinking, yeah, I'll talk to you. Never, because you're one of the crazy women that eat dinner by yourselves.

Speaker: When was the last time you went out to dinner by yourself? There's a oh there's a question.

Speaker: sat Like, sat down somewhere and ate by yourself. Because I am not... i know I have. i cannot think when... Yeah, like the Jeopardy theme song is playing in my head right now. Well, I'll tell you, just remembered mine while you're thinking of yours. Okay, share. A couple of years ago, um i that we've got an Indian restaurant that I just love that's very close to our house. And I had taken our really thick bedding to to get washed at the laundromat, which happens to be next door. It was on on one of my a day off.

Speaker: So put all that stuff in and I had to kill 45 minutes, you know, so they could put it in the dryer. And I thought i was like, you know, it's lunchtime and the Indian place next door. I'm going to go and treat myself to the Indian buffet. That was probably 18 months ago. Ended up going in and my next door neighbor was there. So we sort of ate together. But the intention was to eat by myself. So I will count that. That was probably 18 months ago.

Speaker: I still can't come up with it. Right. like to think about this one. Yeah, because i couldn't I couldn't tell you. I have no idea. And it's not because i i don't, but I don't know. Yeah, I mean, very few and far between have done it Nothing against at all.

Speaker: i Yeah, I'll have to ponder that one. Yeah, and ah whenever, before I was married, I did enjoy going to the movies by myself.

Speaker: Right. I did enjoy that. But i don't I don't know about eating out like at a restaurant by my. Do you know what?

Speaker: OK, it was in Dallas and al I'm embarrassed of how many years ago it was. I mean, it was a long time ago and I was in Dallas for training.

Speaker: And so I went and I sat down at this restaurant and I was taking notes and writing. And at the end of my meal, the waitress asked me if I was a food critic. that kind of fun And I said, i really wish my answer was yes.

Speaker: Why do you think that? And she's like, well, because of your notebook. And I was like, oh yeah i was like i'm just writing i kind of love that though i it could have been fantastic Oh, I think I would have had to have said yes.

Speaker: Right? Just to see what happens. What would they do? Yeah, would they send... See, now, knowing everything that I know about life and ah watch too many TVs and movies and stuff, they might have given me something for free. That's what I'm thinking. Your dessert's on the house. See, missed out. Missed out. kate was a Kate was a mystery shopper back in the day.

Speaker: oh that's fun. Yeah. Stop. Okay, so whenever I worked at Foley's, I had gotten really good at picking out our mystery shoppers. Nice. Like, I knew who they were. That's fantastic.

Speaker: Yeah. um yeah I just had a thought. and We're going to finish this last scene and then ah just had something we need to discuss. Okay. So sorry. Yeah. Ross ends up his song and he pretends that he's lost it. Tells Phoebe can so she can play. And then Kenny goes, yeah, like I could ever lose it. Like he thinks he's pulled a fast one over everyone. um with that. That's kind of how this episode ends. I just remembered, so we should a sort of semi-apology to the listeners, after we recorded the one with Dirty Girl, you sent a text to me like 20 minutes afterwards. I did! my gosh! And I think should address this. Oh, we need to! We need to! Because people, I was like, oh my gosh, how embarrassing. Okay, so...

Speaker: Ow. Yes. and and Typically, like, friends and our and and that's it. Like, I enjoy other shows that, like, I don't really, like, get into and watch. But it's summer, and Joseph has started this. a He's been watching it, and then I picked up on the last episode of season three, and it is called...

Speaker: I sent it to you in the text. I can't think. Is it Nightwing? No. It's called Darkwing? that's Darkwing Duck. Anyway, it's fabulous. It is about and Navajo Indian. It's a reservation. Darkwind.

Speaker: There you go. Not even close to what I was guessing. Darkwind. um It's so good. It's a police show, but they're on the Navajo Reservations.

Speaker: And so all of the actors and the actresses are Navajo descent, ah American Indian descent. And it and they've got like each episode. We figure that in the in the.

Speaker: writings, writing of this, there has to be a certain percentage or a certain number of like cultural ah references that are brought in because each episode has different ties to different things from the culture.

Speaker: Oh, it's so good. But I got the end of the last episode of season three and now we're almost done with season four. Well, there is a character in season four and she's a very tall, blonde, very beautiful woman. um And she looks famous to me.

Speaker: So I had done all this research on her the day. It might've earlier before we recorded. And so in my head, that was the tall, blonde, beautiful person in my brain. Duh! No. In our episode of Friends, that was Rebecca Romaine Stamos. Oh, my God. That was the blue girl from X-Men. That is John Stamos' wife. like Or ex-wife.

Speaker: Ex-wife? I think so. think so. I think there are exes now. But like... Oh my gosh. How embarrassing. How embarrassing. for what it's worth, I didn't know, to be honest. oh like I think I would have known Rebecca Romaine Stamos, if she still goes by that name, was tall and blonde, i think, but that's about it.

Speaker: Yeah, and beautiful and hilarious and like, I don't know. And then this ah the other lady, she's tall and blonde and beautiful, but she is not hilarious.

Speaker: And she is creepy and is an excellent show. All right. That's going on the list. But she's a German actress. That's not anybody that we know.

Speaker: so All right. The Dark Wind. We are currently watching Alone because a new season came out. And then Big Brother starts tonight, which we'll probably this weekend. And that's kind of after. We sit with that that we get into. Excellent.

Speaker: Good. But then Dark Wind. Going on the list. All right. Let's think who would be your Gunther Central Park of the week. All right. So mine.

Speaker: It's Ross. It's Ross. Wow. Wow. I know. Slightly stunned. I know. Joseph was too. um Because he's so funny in this episode.

Speaker: and i'm like i can't pick chandler i can't pick joey right uh then i was like like and it just and then i'm like really the good laughs were ross being an idiot with the music and it's so funny and then it's like I respect the fact that, yes, he probably should have kept the sound a secret.

Speaker: he probably should have, but he didn't. He went out on a limb yeah and did his thing. So good for him. Good for him. Well, I, my little routine is i don't pick my Gunther Central Park until we've finished reviewing, but I always write it down before you say yours, just so I, just so I don't get influenced in any way. And I had also written down, I don't think I can this the camera. Nah, I had also written Ross down for the first time in a long time. Okay, well, gro Joseph asked me, he was like, have you ever picked Ross? And I said, I have. And every time I did, shocked me. But this shocks me even more, because I felt like two episodes ago, the reason that it was scored so low was because it was back to being a heavy Ross situation. But I don't know. But I wrote, yeah I said, Ross, he's so funny. He started playing bad for Phoebe. And he was brave. And and then I wrote, ha, ha. so

Speaker: yeah It's just iconic. Ross and his sound, the stuff that goes along with it. it's it's yeah so Somebody would have had to done something pretty special to knock the iconic sound off top spot for me.

Speaker: Yes, yes. a house How shall we score this week? By random keyboard sounds, of course. I think it has to be keyboard sounds. peer be How many are we going for this week?

Speaker: Seven and a half. Yeah, seven and a half. Yeah. I literally am doing the same. We've been off a little bit. So we're both Ross and seven and a half. I liked it.

Speaker: I love the Ross's sound bit. That if that on its own is an eight or or nine. And then the other stuff to me is kind of a seven. So, you know, seven and a half kind of landing in the middle, thinking of all the different storylines. So, yeah. That's always fun. Always fun when we end up with the same... yeah yeah Keyboard sounds is one of my favorites so far.

Speaker: um be I love it. too let's great Next week, if you know friends at all and you know what happened this week, you know what's coming next week. It's the one with Chandler yeah in a box. In a box. This one, this one, this gets my heartstrings a little bit. this one Yes. Yes.

Speaker: It's good. it says It is. I'm excited to get into this one. Any final thoughts this week?

Speaker: No. No. But I'm excited because we're going to start playing some musical instruments. That's right. when Maybe one day we will share our wordless sound poems.

Speaker: Oh, our wordless sound poems. Yes. That's what thinking. We are on it. All right. Or I might, with my guitar, I might sing about some tiny Tarzan swinging from a nose hair. We should only be so lucky if you would do that for us.

Speaker: I am looking forward to it. Maybe when we do trivia night, we can open with a with some of that. Oh my gosh, that would be amazing. That would be pretty funny. All right, we're going to go and dust off our guitars and musical instruments. But as always, everybody, thank you for listening to the Purple Door podcast.
