Welcome, one and all to the Boys 2 Men Podcast's first ever in-person episode. After much planning, the boys were able to convey in one spot and record all while seeing each others faces. Instead of following our traditional, Q&A style episode, we decided to do something different for this special occasion. We wanted to play a game(of sorts). The game is called Dread. Think of it like D&D but darker and spookier. It has twists and turns that you wouldn't expect.
Once again, we want to thank you all for giving us a chance. To do what we love. Our podcast started remote, and this is our first step into what maybe a new chapter for this podcast. From everyone at Boys 2 Men, we hope you enjoy this exclusive episode.

All right, so we're playing a game to it. So we are playing a game. This game is called Dread. It's like a D&D type collaborative storytelling game. And we have a Jenga tower in the middle. So if you hear a loud noise, that's because someone died. That's because someone died. That's because somebody died. This would be a really good part where we had a camera. It would be very nice if we had a camera. We didn't play them that far. You almost just lost Jenga. I was killed as well. We almost ended the podcast, permanently.

Explaining 'Dread' Rules

So here's how the game works. We have our Jenga tower in the middle of the table. And how it works is any time your character does an action, I'm going to ask you to pull a certain number of blocks out of the Jenga tower.

depending on the severity of the task that you're doing, if you're trying to repair a generator and you're not a very smart person, you could, you know, you could make it spark. Is this Dead by Daylight? Well, yeah, the reference was Dead by Daylight, yes. Okay, cool.

so you might have to do one to fill it with gasoline quietly and then one to hotwire the fuse in order to make the generator start running. So I'd make you pull two blocks. The last thing is, if your character wishes to try and sacrifice themselves for the group, you can knock over the tower, killing your character, but potentially saving everyone else in the group.

Should I just read out the questions? Don't read out the questions. Just give an overview. My character is the teacher. Math has always been my favorite subject to teach because it was my favorite to learn about in school. And it's very black and white, meaning there's less subjectivity to it. A lot of my students don't really appreciate learning for its own sake and becoming a well-rounded individual. And it causes them to be inattentive in class and question the reason for everything I teach them. Admittedly, I frequently end up ranting about how school is a necessity.

One of my favorite hobbies is, well, I believe that the HAARP organization is actually a project researching controlling the weather instead of a radio communication project and that they actually caused Hurricane Katrina on accident or on purpose, you know, not even there.

While I was on a school trip with my students, one of them fell off of a bridge and died. I felt conflicted by the incident. I was sad that I wasn't able to influence her decision, or her decision-making ability enough to prevent the accident, but at the same time, she's got her own free will, so it's like, whatever, not my fault.
