Jarrod Dyke: Hey everybody, welcome back. It is the Fancy Rugby Yanks. My name is Jared Dyke.

Jarrod Dyke: It's fancy time, let's go. um We're gonna jump right into things. We're gonna go right into Champion Yanks League and give a recap of what happened over the first two rounds in Six Nations, and then it's gonna be time for some PWR stuff, and then it'll be time for some our first ever or first of the year, start sets for Super Rugby in Six Nations.

Jarrod Dyke: for division one, um it's gonna be, right now it's, there was a lot of movement because the first two weeks usually bring that, including me just tumbling from first of or second to fifth, like just, you know, like a fricking dropping like an anchor.
Grumpy Old Prop: Wow.
Jarrod Dyke: ah or So, right, and then, yeah, there's, I mean, this is Alex jump two, George jump two, Cobus jump three, like there is movement all over the fricking place here. um So right now it is COVID Justin, George, Mark, Alex, Stu, myself, and Duncan bringing up the rear there.
Jarrod Dyke: How are our division two friends getting on?
Grumpy Old Prop: Our division two friends, um well, slowly as I was saying in the other pod, actually, Bart isn't even in this one yet.
Jarrod Dyke: Barty, shame.
Grumpy Old Prop: We have to get him in. We got so far, Franco is in first, um ah Paul in second, Luke is in third, and I am in last, but I did get the, um I got the yellow cap,
Grumpy Old Prop: ah Luke got the wooden spoon.
Jarrod Dyke: really?
Grumpy Old Prop: So I'm two and a half points away from him. But I'm also I have three eighty five um and Franco has four twenty one. So it's really it's less than 40 points away.
Grumpy Old Prop: It's not that's anyone's game at this point in Division two and Aubrey and and and and Barty.
Jarrod Dyke: Nice.
Jarrod Dyke: and ah Is that another one that's missing?
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah, get get the.
Jarrod Dyke: So we're missing Matt, Matt, and Aubrey. Okay.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.

Grumpy Old Prop: And then, though, there's someone else we're missing because there's only there.
Jarrod Dyke: Okay.

Jarrod Dyke: Well then. Okay. We have, um, so let's give a PWR update where we're at. Uh, so we didn't do any picks last this past weekend because it was and makeup rounds all over the place. Um, big, the big round of the week, uh, goes to George, George digging himself off the bottom here. Um, by the way, Oscar, if you're listening, like you can pick other players, dude, like you,
Jarrod Dyke: You were just scraping the bottom of the barrel for players. You can go back to some of the players you picked in the first half of the season.
Grumpy Old Prop: I'll have to let him know he also picked players for this past week that we didn't use so I have to go I have to let him know but I'm really on that other
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah. So he can put those back in the bin there, buddy.
Grumpy Old Prop: He keeps telling me on the bad place and...
Jarrod Dyke: Oh, it's his, his detriment.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, but yeah. So the big round came from George this past week. He picked Alex Matthews, DJ Jazzy Joyce, and Emma Singh from not this past round, this past weekend, the weekend before it it only puts them like fourth from bottom, just FYI, but it's better than getting your bike kicked up and down the whole thing for a little bit.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, next best went to the guy across the screen for me here. Um, and then. Some other dickhead. I don't know who he is though. Who also happens to be leading the competition?
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. Where's, okay. So am I, I'm back in a second. Nice.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, so it's, yeah, it's, you know, some other American idiot, Ben Joe.
Grumpy Old Prop: I did. Yep.
Jarrod Dyke: Julia and Tom right now. Those are those are our our big leaders right now. those are those all All those people are at 700 points or above.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm -hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: Duncan is just on the edge. He's got 6 .99 and change.
Grumpy Old Prop: Oof, he had a couple of good weeks there.
Jarrod Dyke: so he He did.
Grumpy Old Prop: He had a couple, didn't he? And then, yeah, he's putting some, oof, yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: He's put a couple of things. Around 15, he only came up with 16 points. That was not his best.
Grumpy Old Prop: He's been hovering in like the thirties. I'll look for a couple of weeks now.
Jarrod Dyke: Not terrible. Won't, won't, won't sink you, but it's not going to win you by any means whatsoever.
Grumpy Old Prop: No. And an 18 and a 16 will not win you.
Jarrod Dyke: Nope. Nope. Those hurt.
Grumpy Old Prop: I know, because I got the 15 .8 that one week and I'm just now recovering.
Jarrod Dyke: Uh, huh.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah. It happens.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: I got the, I got, I think I had the only red card in this competition so far. And I picked that up like round three, I think. Pick that would be burden. She got a red card for a croc roll.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, and she's actually played really well since then. So I was like, yeah, I picked the wrong week to pick her. Obviously. Um, anyway, speaking of picks, uh, we are going to go with for this weekend.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, I'm going to go, uh, right now I'm going to go with Casey from show captain America, uh, Raleigh as well.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: And then. I'm going to say shell from shell finders, but I also don't trust any of the kickers right now. So I might go seek out someone else.
Grumpy Old Prop: Right. um And I am going with an all Saracens affair. um As they go up against Exeter who have been in a pretty massive slump of late.
Grumpy Old Prop: So I'm going to hope Saracen's um Saracen's are are um but roll that through.
Jarrod Dyke: They've been, they've been generous.
Grumpy Old Prop: um And I believe since the restart of the reef reshuffle, I haven't picked May Campbell yet. So I'm going with her. I know I haven't picked Lottie Sharp because I almost did and then went with Emma Singh the other week. And then for now, I'm going to go with Amelia McDougall.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: But ultimately, um if Aitchinson is back, It'll be her instead. But I'm hoping it's McDougall, because thatll that'll leave me another Saris kicker in my back pocket for later.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, that's.
Jarrod Dyke: That's true as well, yeah. Yeah, so you get it you get some options there.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Alright, anyway. Options all over the place. Alright, it is time for start or set for. Super rugby. So I'll check in on an odd FRD reference here, but I'm also going off like highly selected on Super Brew for now.
Jarrod Dyke: um I'd say for the most part, things correlate to the official game with the exception of this, and if you go listen to the draft pod, someone, I think Justin informed George and myself that there was a player that's a prop that's definitely not a prop, but listed as such on the official game.
Grumpy Old Prop: Hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: so Keep your eyes peeled for that person. You might wanna, I don't remember the exact person. I think it was a back rower and somehow they were listed as a prop. So you can ah you can take that little tidbit with you.
Jarrod Dyke: All right, I am starting us off for Crusaders and Hurricanes.
Grumpy Old Prop: You are starting us off.
Jarrod Dyke: For Crusaders, um Tamati Williams, yes. Cody Taylor, I'm not sure about.
Grumpy Old Prop: Hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: And actually I just read something about Belle being hurt as well. So keep an eye on that hooker situation. If it's Taylor, obviously yes. hello I'll give the Crusaders front row a thumbs up because they tend to get the job done with whoever's in the middle for their hook and plus Tamati.
Jarrod Dyke: So yeah, go with that. um Scott Barrett. Yes. And FRD too. He's one of the few locks that's worth your worth of dam and FRD. So he's also a thumbs up there. Will Jordan. That's a duh. And then, um, the guy that usually wears 14 as well, uh, sits. Um, um, I don't know what people are thinking with Ethan Blacketer. Like, Nope, that that doesn't really a lot. So um unless unless something happens this year, that's different than the years past. Nope.
Jarrod Dyke: And then, uh, I'm gonna say David heavily is an FRD only type cause he might get the T at some point this weekend. And that could be valuable as a, as a midfielder. for the hurricanes.
Jarrod Dyke: Tyrol Lomax, yes. Amua, yes, which naturally leads me to bring the hurricanes front row into a thumbs up. Lakai, yes. Not a lot of people picking Braden Yosei for super real.
Jarrod Dyke: Wondering why.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Everyone okay out there?
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. I mean, what's he.
Jarrod Dyke: We all awake? Roy Card, duh. Shouldn't need to tell you right yard. ah Billy Proctor, and then whoever partners him for FRD should also be considered.
Jarrod Dyke: Uh, move in love. Yes. Uh, sit. Um, a lot of people picking Dewey. I don't know why he's never already at best at best.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: I mean, that would love.
Grumpy Old Prop: Hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: All right on to Marta's highlanders now I kind of went more with the FRD because that's just what I'm used to for for fantasy um At least for for super rugby so
Jarrod Dyke: That's good.
Grumpy Old Prop: um for the toss their front row. um Yes, please, especially in this kind of game. Tane Edmed, if you listened to me for the last year, you know, I'd like him a lot as a player.
Grumpy Old Prop: And I think with even more weapons, he's going to be that much more dangerous. um Oh, I went ahead to myself, Jake Gordon. um I flipped the fly half and scrum half by bed as I was putting it together.
Jarrod Dyke: There you go. That's all right.
Grumpy Old Prop: um But yeah, don't don't you know, and how he's getting a little older, but I think in this game, too, he's going to have um quite a lot of opportunities. and you know He might get pulled early, but he'll he'll throw up some points but if not throw up during this match because he's going to be running so much.
Jarrod Dyke: Oh, man.
Grumpy Old Prop: um And then Jorgensen and Callaway are just going to feast, I think, on this Highlanders team. um For the Highlanders, especially in yeah, I just I wouldn't touch them.
Grumpy Old Prop: I don't think in in Subaru They're their FRD only and look at their centers and back three and if you know Throw up a prayer So that's um No, he's not Gil Gilbert's not
Jarrod Dyke: Well, the rumor is Sam Gumbert's gonna play fullback this year. I think he's listed as a midfielder in FRD, so you might have yourself a quick cheat there.
Grumpy Old Prop: He is he is a he's a back three player.
Jarrod Dyke: No?
Jarrod Dyke: Oh, well, in which case, nevermind. Oh, I shot my face there.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah, shut up.
Jarrod Dyke: Lame.
Jarrod Dyke: Okay, um Drew and Brumby's.
Jarrod Dyke: Pick more Drew, my friends. i've I've only got a few on the list here. The Drew in front row, yes. Muntz, yep. Yousef O 'Masi, yes.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: Absolutely pick him. Well then, like there's gonna be some some guys out there that you're gonna want in your YouTube routine, and there'll be plenty that I'm sure are getting named to the FRD team, so I'm sure we'll get some start set questions to that.
Jarrod Dyke: Brumby's front row, yes. The hooker situation is kind of a, same as both, but you benefit from that, but you just pick the whole front row. Nick Frost is an FRD option as well. pop Probably a Subaru option, but definitely an FRD option.
Jarrod Dyke: um We're thinking Bobby VZ to taking some time off or he's hurt not sure what's going on with that But if he's in you're gonna play him obviously um Ikitao yes um Right, and then not enough of you are picking Cory tool was wrong with you all like get get that guy. Let's go um My only step for Brumby's is L. Alatoa Highly picked but not super productive in terms of super brew stuff. So
Grumpy Old Prop: All right, onto blues chiefs. ah Just cuz I this you know, obviously this is the the match I want to see first um this year um Right just get some time before we have to play them again anyway for the blues there for their front row um Then I just I don't know what their their locks back row the line, you know to a plot to yeah fine um they've got some locks and um
Jarrod Dyke: Mm hmm. Just what you were hoping for.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm hmm. Yeah. See some Papa Yi.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. Popolese. Yeah. Okay. You're right there. Bowdoin, the centers in the back three are all, I think, at a rate, because I just don't know what to expect from the cheese defense. I'd still go for their front row and their locks, especially in FRD. I think they'll be valuable. They might even do pretty well in in Super Rugby. I don't think they're going to win, but I think they're going to actually, they could still have some, some good games.
Grumpy Old Prop: While Satiti seems to be legit. And now he's coming back to the club level and um I can't wait to see what he does there. um You know, any of the scrum halves, certainly in FRD, they're all well worth your time.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm -hmm. Oh, I scooped up Rotimer.
Grumpy Old Prop: And then, yeah, that that is, that's worth it. And the wings should still score pretty well.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: That's all I'm going to say for now.
Jarrod Dyke: All right.
Grumpy Old Prop: We'll talk about sits later.

Jarrod Dyke: um Uh, some, some scraps to pick from this one for some Moana. Um, I only have bad news for force. It's Nick white and the force front row sit them. And then for one, I only have good news, but it's not that much. It's already, um, garden bash up. If he's, if he's starting at 10 and then, um, so but the other survey, Julian, the bus, uh, you guys started him after that. It's a lot of FRD options, which we'll get to come our, our start sit sheet. But for now, that's all I got.
Grumpy Old Prop: All right, then on to the of the weeks. Um, my start of the week, you just mentioned him, so I'm just going to put it out there. but My start of the week's already.
Jarrod Dyke: Okay, there you go.
Grumpy Old Prop: I think there's, there's, he's got a, you know, the weak opponent. I know it's a, it's a bit of travel, but. Yeah, I think, uh, I think he's still going to take, I think so they're still going to take it. And I think he's going to be a ah major deciding factor there. He's used to the travel at this point.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, we'll see. Um, yeah, I'm, I'm going to back a guy that played really well at the end of last year and the grouping that goes with him and start to just to start with the comforts of home.
Jarrod Dyke: I'm going to say Gus Bell slash the Todd's front rows, but it could be my start of the week.
Grumpy Old Prop: Hmm. No, not not bad.
Jarrod Dyke: No.

Grumpy Old Prop: Oh, and he's played really well at the international level.
Jarrod Dyke: So. Keep that in mind. and Yeah, already. It'll be interesting to see how that goes. Anyway. All right, cool.
Jarrod Dyke: So did really well last year, didn't you?
Grumpy Old Prop: Also Josh Fluke, Josh Fluke is owned by 1 % of people out there. What the, I mean, I realized that. Yeah. And I realized the reds are on by first round. So that kind of helps explain it, but yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: That's probably what's going on with that, but that that may change as as the week goes on here.
Grumpy Old Prop: Alemalo is, wow, he's a center.
