Jarrod Dyke: Hey everybody, welcome back. It is the Fancy Rugby Yanks. My name is Jared Dyke.
Grumpy Old Prop: I'm Ben Glauser.
Jarrod Dyke: Let's go fantasy talking, chatting, whatever. Fantasy Garner, that the one. We got there eventually. um
Jarrod Dyke: So we have... we have Our FRD champion for Division 1, by the way, is Stu. And he walked away with it. Like 70 points, give or take.
Grumpy Old Prop: Oh.
Jarrod Dyke: you take
Grumpy Old Prop: That'll do.
Jarrod Dyke: The Sacco was tighter. This is Mark 1, so Duncan gets the Sacco. But Mark 1 by 3, they were talking about it in our track group there. and like The adjustments went back and forth a couple times, it sounds like. So it was one of those things where it's like, will it or won't it?
Jarrod Dyke: I think someone had one of them had Lockie Anderson.
Grumpy Old Prop: And i i I won the Sacco game, so yay for me.
Jarrod Dyke: Okay, that's good. you just say you know zero points for you.
Grumpy Old Prop: um And then, oh, I need to check it. But Demagnificent, who I need to figure out who that is, um beat Franco 145 to 117. Yeah, won by like over 80 points, 121 138.
Jarrod Dyke: Okay, that was a tiny bit tighter than the other one for us, but that's all right. All right.
Grumpy Old Prop: yeah i want by like
Jarrod Dyke: um
Grumpy Old Prop: um over eighty points one twenty one to thirty eight
Jarrod Dyke: Okay. Okay, so you you' were able to overcome it quite easily.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah, well, it helped that I was playing an unmanned team.
Jarrod Dyke: So what we're going to... Oh, unmanned. Yeah, that that does help. That does help. Yeah, you're not wrong. So let's look at this. So we're going to do...
Jarrod Dyke: um
Jarrod Dyke: We're going to just kind of talk about rate rankings for each position for each comp here as we go and instead of start sits because we're down to four and 16 each. So, um, and it's obviously fine margins at this point as well with a lot guys just, you know, maybe picking one or two players different than others.
Jarrod Dyke: And that's, that's really where it's at. So looking at like ownership percentage, um, a poker forge or, Dutwot, Genj, Nicky Smith, Obano, Rod.
Jarrod Dyke: but so i think Opoka Forger, we can just kind of plop into our starting lineup automatically and say yes.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah, he's been he's been fantastic.
Jarrod Dyke: Now.
Grumpy Old Prop: um
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: And there's, like you said, they they're you're kind of light on prop options. so
Jarrod Dyke: who Do you...
Grumpy Old Prop: Although, at the same time, I might go Nikki and Thomas Dutoye.
Jarrod Dyke: go ahead.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, I have all three of them on, personally, so um I'm spoiled with Troy's.
Grumpy Old Prop: Well, there you go.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, Gensh has been disappointing, I will say that.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Like, for the $3 million that he costs, he's been very disappointing, and he's still highly owned, obviously, people are aren't noticing that.
Grumpy Old Prop: um
Jarrod Dyke: um If you're not doing well in your league, I have a hint for you.
Grumpy Old Prop: yeah
Jarrod Dyke: um
Jarrod Dyke: Do you play Dutoy off the bench no matter what, or do you only play him if he starts?
Grumpy Old Prop: It's I he's obviously he's a definite yes if he starts, but.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm-hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: um
Jarrod Dyke: I agree with that.
Grumpy Old Prop: it's It depends on who else you got and and and what other trades you might need to make.
Jarrod Dyke: Right. And that was what I was thinking too. Like if you have a luxury of picking, you know, two starters of those top three or four guys, I would go with the two starters personally.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: um and But if you're tight and like the one position, you can just say, you know what, I have a starter and then I have to talk off the bench. If that's where you have to kind of say, you know what I can't make any transfers with props. That's what going to have to live with.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: You live with it, honestly.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: yeah There's bigger things that you can mess them around with.
Jarrod Dyke: um For the two shirt.
Jarrod Dyke: Most popular is LCD. but
Grumpy Old Prop: yeah
Jarrod Dyke: um Agri. And then after that, in terms of guys that are still playing Montoya.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. I mean, I've been rocking with Montoya and Claire as my duo for most of the season. Cause I haven't like, and don't have many other Lester players. There's not many that you'd really want. So, um, I'm going to just continue that.
Grumpy Old Prop: I don't have to make trades for now.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: I think this is where the fun stops for LCD.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah, I think so.
Jarrod Dyke: So I think you're you're got you're more likely to find... You can pick Augur if you want because he's probably going to score just because Bristol seem to find ways more often than not.
Jarrod Dyke: And then Munchoja definitely you know seems to be, this is his last game at Welford Road as well, so don't forget that.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: um Yeah, I like the idea of either one of those personally.
Jarrod Dyke: um Locke's one of those positions that you're probably going to be able to get away with. like You don't need to pick an LH hasn't met 3 million. get away and pick a Quinru if you really wanted to for 2 million.
Grumpy Old Prop: Although you could you could go with go with a Joe Batley. But I don't know if he's going to get loose.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, and I don't know how healthy he is too. That's the other thing.
Grumpy Old Prop: That's also true.
Jarrod Dyke: You know, popularity in terms of that. Yeah. Chesom.
Grumpy Old Prop: But he's, yeah, he's the highest points per game. Oh, except for, well, Ewan Richards. I don't think that counts. I don't think he's going be playing. um
Jarrod Dyke: No.
Grumpy Old Prop: But Batley, by far, I mean, i'm I'm trying to go down. It's like Cam Henderson's the next one. And then Ollie Chesham. And they're, you know, full two points behind him per game. So.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, maybe not. Depends on where your cash is. Totally depends where your cash is.
Grumpy Old Prop: Right.
Jarrod Dyke: i'm I'm okay if you go with a ah Cam Henderson and um and a Quinn Rue in the second row if you're trying to put your money somewhere else in like the back row or the back three.
Jarrod Dyke: Certainly makes sense to me. But yeah, just kind of keep your eyes on your money and what the lineups look like. ah Back row...
Jarrod Dyke: mean, popularity-wise, it's Fitz and Liebenberg and Ben Curry. One of those is not going to find space.
Grumpy Old Prop: I can tell you who.
Jarrod Dyke: I
Grumpy Old Prop: um Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: can almost promise you that. Points per game-wise, you know, the choice is Fitz. Granted, he could easily get bottled up this week. I certainly can understand people shying away from that.
Jarrod Dyke: I'm not dumb. Bayless would be one to consider. Barbara would be another one to consider for off the, ah there's a lot of back rowers off bath that you can consider because they seem to rotate them quite heavily.
Grumpy Old Prop: then
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah, that's the problem too. is because they go They're going to go six two likely. so you you know Whoever you pick might come out quick pretty quick. Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: who
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah. and So it's funny. We had, we were talking about crackdown, the break, like, They're actually about the same on a point points per game basis and they're the same price.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: So for me, it's who is the better player. And for me, it's Lievenberg.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. And he's also been shit hot lately. um
Jarrod Dyke: So there's that answer.
Grumpy Old Prop: With, so he's been, he's been hitting double digits except for, so except for round 16, a home match against sale. And I, there may be extenuating circumstances around that. Where did he, um I can't remember if he came out or or maybe he got, I don't know if he got injured or or something like that.
Grumpy Old Prop: I, I just don't remember the game.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: um But other than that, he's gotten 10 and a half or more since round 12. So that's one, two, three, four, sorry one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, seven of the last eight matches.
Jarrod Dyke: Pretty good.
Grumpy Old Prop: He's gone double digits with four of them being over 15 points.
Jarrod Dyke: Right.
Grumpy Old Prop: So and including, including against Saracens who, as we know, crush,
Jarrod Dyke: There you go.
Grumpy Old Prop: forwards so and he got 19 and he got 19 against aries so ponder that
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah. And they and they they won that match too, so.
Jarrod Dyke: Pretty good.
Jarrod Dyke: Yep. Halfback. Randall's like points per game miles better than most. Do you maybe consider Vanport Fleet or Spencer?
Grumpy Old Prop: yeah but yeah
Jarrod Dyke: mean, you can pick two, but you can pick two, but who are you putting in the lineup?
Grumpy Old Prop: Right. And like, if any if it's going to be anybody, it's probably going Randall. um Because then you look at those two, it's four versus, you know, four you know five million for Randall, four for Van Port Fleet.
Jarrod Dyke: Right.
Grumpy Old Prop: So you're one apart, but it's, you know, four points difference.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm-hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: So I might pay for that.
Jarrod Dyke: yeah
Jarrod Dyke: All right. um So this will be an easy one. Finn, AJ, Pollard, Ford, rank them.
Grumpy Old Prop: um Finn first because again they could get you know Bristol could give up 50
Jarrod Dyke: Mm-hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: Pollard and Ford are going to be kicking for posts a lot um but then McGinty still you know he's still what fourth highest and that's including Donahue and Spiel so if you look at like the people actually played significant amounts this season Finn and AJ are the top two by almost two points until you get to Pollard and Ford.
Grumpy Old Prop: So I, to me, it's Finn. It's basically in the, in the order that it's in actually, um, in points per game. So Finn Russell, one AJ, two Pollard, three, Ford, four. four
Jarrod Dyke: There we go.
Grumpy Old Prop: Cause AJ, and that's, that's, that's a, you know, uh, you're going with AJ and that's what I'm probably going to do.
Jarrod Dyke: One the...
Grumpy Old Prop: Um, cause you already have him on my team. I don't want to make another trade. Um, it's going to be a hope and a prayer that they, they throw up some points.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, they'll get shut down. One of the harder positions to find scores, Revolvo, think he's in most teams at this point.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah, that's all right.
Jarrod Dyke: And then it's kind of tough because while Dupree is listed as yeah one of the higher scores points per game, that's factoring in his kicking points, which he won't get any this week unless Ford drops late or is hurt during the game.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yep. Mm hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: But you can't bank on that. um Talk about gambling. You would need to stay away from Vegas if you're doing that. um
Jarrod Dyke: And then after that, it's like, ooh, there's... You could go with one of the bath guys. so I'm sure some people say go with Kata, but I don't like the risk of the card there, so that that scares me.
Grumpy Old Prop: No, I don't. Plus, his points for game are shit anyway.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah. I think if you wanted to get off the wall, you go Mahasi White.
Grumpy Old Prop: I don't think that's a, and that's actually, I don't even think that's off the wall to be, you know, he's 11.4 points per game, which is decent, especially among, you know, there's like, um, Will Joseph is up there higher than him, but he only played two matches.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: Um, like, and Masi White didn't, didn't play a lot himself.
Jarrod Dyke: Right.
Grumpy Old Prop: So there's that, but, um, Um, his scores really tell the tale. He's played two, four, six, seven matches, um, five of them above 10 points, which again, that's, that's quality. The, the one of them that, that he didn't get above 10 was, was Quinn's on the road. So there's that too.
Grumpy Old Prop: Um,
Jarrod Dyke: Can be tough, you know.
Grumpy Old Prop: he's he's scored well against a lot of these teams. Lester on the road in round 16, he put up 13 points. So there you go.
Jarrod Dyke: There you go.
Grumpy Old Prop: And again, if Kata, if Kata does go out, that's Mossy White's gap.
Jarrod Dyke: Something to consider heavily, I'd say.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, that's... That's that space for him. Uh... Back three is going to be a litany of choices and ideas. Um...
Grumpy Old Prop: Yep.
Jarrod Dyke: do you spend the 10 million on Ivetoye first?
Grumpy Old Prop: new
Jarrod Dyke: Okay. Solves that. um
Jarrod Dyke: And then, yeah, I mean, you have your, your spoilt for choice really with, especially with the three guys from Leicester.
Grumpy Old Prop: It could be, yeah. there
Jarrod Dyke: You know, you're looking at, ice so I'm hoping Coca is healthy for bath.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: So that's a possibility there. I like me or myself to glam bills in there as well. You know, there's,
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: yeah and they're I think the struggle for me with Bristol is like Lane's hurt, and that means Ibotoya is going to be pretty much on his own right now because they may throw Revalvo on the wing, but he's not he's not a wing.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: Right.
Jarrod Dyke: He's a good player. He's not a wing. So...
Grumpy Old Prop: I mean, i assume i my I assume he's going to be on the wing. Because, yeah, he played well.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm-hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: He played well out there last week. Um, and he's played well there, you know, even, you know, whenever he's been put there, it's not, you're right. It's not his best position, but when you have, you know, the players that the James Williams and your, and, and the, um, Bernard Johnson and Rendsburg, it's just, and Revovo does have the speed to do it.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: It's just not his, it's not natural for him. So he'll help make his mistakes, but those mistakes don't really bite you in fantasy.
Jarrod Dyke: Right.
Grumpy Old Prop: So like you get all the positive out of it. So, um, that'll help bit away. It gives them space, but there's just too much out there. Like coconut Siga.
Grumpy Old Prop: Um, I get, you know, the, ah on the other side of it.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm-hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: Um, and, and as you said, the, the, all the back three from the sailor are, are quality. Um, there's no reason not to think carpenter won't, couldn't go off, um, or read, um, or Roebuck.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: So that brings me to... Brings me to, you know, Sale, like... We don't think of them as a big attacking team, but they do have some good wings. so of the ones that potentially could be starting, which I i believe will be Carpenter, Roebuck, and Reed, assuming all are healthy and all all are picked.
Jarrod Dyke: um Which one of those three are you really keeping your eyes eyes on and probably at least getting onto your bench, if not into your lineup?
Grumpy Old Prop: Yep.
Jarrod Dyke: I like Reed, personally.
Grumpy Old Prop: i Yeah, I have Carpenter already, so he's just going to stay. So have to make another trade.
Jarrod Dyke: There you go. I'd say i mean i' say it's hard to go wrong, assuming that...
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. I unfortunately have, I have four each of Gloucester and Sarri's players um residual.
Jarrod Dyke: they don't get totally donated.
Jarrod Dyke: you did not get a lot of guys out last that's round, did you?
Grumpy Old Prop: I couldn't, i'd like I like, I had to make the, trade I had to make the trades I had to make.
Jarrod Dyke: Ooh.
Grumpy Old Prop: So I'm going to be kind of judicious about it.
Jarrod Dyke: Ooh.
Grumpy Old Prop: um
Jarrod Dyke: Yep.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. So there's that.
Jarrod Dyke: It is what it is.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. especially with Bath not having anybody in the lineup last week. Like, fuck, I'm not going to pick up one of those Bath players because none of them are goingnna play.
Jarrod Dyke: It was hard to ignore the, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah i agree.
Grumpy Old Prop: um So, um yeah, I had to kind of stick with guys that I had and some in some cases. Like, I still stuck with Dutoit.
Jarrod Dyke: Yep.
Grumpy Old Prop: He just didn't play. And now it's like, okay, so he's he's there. That's good.
Jarrod Dyke: Well, now you have Emily's, yeah. Yeah,
Grumpy Old Prop: Right.
Jarrod Dyke: let's go to the other one.
Jarrod Dyke: supers more choice, obviously more teams. du Um, but let's start with the boys up front. I I've had both these guys in and out quite a bit.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, in terms of the two guys that are most picked, um, right now, those of you that are picking Xavier Numea, stop. Um, do your favor right now. Stop.
Grumpy Old Prop: Just...
Jarrod Dyke: You ain't that good to stop. Okay. I like the dude as a, because he's a hurricane and he doesn't play badly.
Grumpy Old Prop: No, and he... Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: But in terms of fucking fantasy points, that is not the guy you want. No, no, no.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Spend your money elsewhere. You can spread it on pretty much any other guy that's in that same price range. You got to do just as well, if not better.
Grumpy Old Prop: Right. Yeah. I mean, I even go like, yes, that is, that's also true.
Jarrod Dyke: Zayn Nongor comes to mind.
Grumpy Old Prop: And then, but how many do you have per team? Okay. Team limit six. So that's a possibility, but look, Alan Alatella is the number one points per game. um
Jarrod Dyke: Yep.
Grumpy Old Prop: Prop.
Jarrod Dyke: And he's one of the most picked. So shocker of the day, right?
Grumpy Old Prop: And he's also likely to be in the semis anyway, given how this is playing out.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: So, yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: And if you're going to go with if you're goingnna go with a Canes prop, go with Lomax, who's actually a higher points per game than Numia.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah. Same price too, I think.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yep.
Jarrod Dyke: Oh, no.
Grumpy Old Prop: um
Jarrod Dyke: Oh, yeah. Lower, lower, lower.
Grumpy Old Prop: Lower price.
Jarrod Dyke: Even better.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah, 3 million versus 4.
Jarrod Dyke: There.
Grumpy Old Prop: So...
Jarrod Dyke: You're welcome. um And then I like to Matthew Williams myself. I'd like to, I've liked him a lot the way he's played this year.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: And um I like him a lot in terms of just when he wears the black shirt as well. So ah that's probably the other guy I'm going with personally at hook for, for both Tunky Aho and Pollard.
Grumpy Old Prop: yeah
Jarrod Dyke: Do you burn a cheese player with Tunky Aho?
Grumpy Old Prop: You have what, six per team? Yeah. Yes. yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, i have, I have them both. So, you know, look,
Grumpy Old Prop: oh yeah I have Riccatelli and, well, Parecki, so I've got to get rid of Parecki, but um
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, Pareki's not going to you good.
Grumpy Old Prop: no, not this. Not right now.
Jarrod Dyke: You know, I was hoping we could and we keep the secret weapon, Barry, going in this, but he's on the bench again this week so for locks.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yep.
Jarrod Dyke: but sad and So sadly, no. um But points per game-wise, Bailly came through again big for the Chiefs and and and Super Rugby Fantasy, so
Grumpy Old Prop: yep
Jarrod Dyke: um Yeah, two only two guys or three guys remain that get 10 plus points. One of them is Tom Hooper, the one is Valle. And the third one is Nick Frost, the other lock for Brumby. And really, i think the matchup favors Valle, so you're to pick him, and then it's just pick your favorite Brumby's player, honestly, of the two.
Grumpy Old Prop: Right.
Jarrod Dyke: that's just That's just where my head's at. I have Hooper right now, and I'm going be able to make any other trades otherwise, so I'm just going to ride that.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. um'm I'm going to be riding that myself. I have him in um and two Lima. So and he's at eight.
Jarrod Dyke: Okay.
Grumpy Old Prop: So I'm going to be probably keeping that even though it's, you know, not the greatest.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah. Yeah, that's still it's still a solid play, usually.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Still a solid play. Not a bad idea.
Jarrod Dyke: So for, yeah back row, again, lots of choices here. Are you spreading the 8 million on Satutu?
Grumpy Old Prop: No, I'm not because.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, neither am I. No, just way too much, and he's probably not going to be involved in the next round.
Grumpy Old Prop: Right. And, you know, if i'm going to spend eight million, I'm going to give it to Wallace the TT because he's the runner for the Chiefs.
Jarrod Dyke: I... Yeah, but he's on the bench right now. He's to on the bench this week, so...
Grumpy Old Prop: Oh, is he? Oh, there he is. Yeah, okay. i'm been sure I just saw him being in the game. I like ah didn't register that it was a B, not an S. So either way, I'm still not.
Jarrod Dyke: Yep, no, but he is in. But... So...
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah, then I'm not spending that money.
Jarrod Dyke: if you're If you're planning for maybe the next round... And you have that luxury.
Grumpy Old Prop: Right.
Jarrod Dyke: and you can yeah you had And you want to put the $8 million into CTT. Not a terrible idea by any means whatsoever.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah, not not the worst thing.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, I've had Leo Willey for a little while.
Grumpy Old Prop: Me too.
Jarrod Dyke: The one guy that I'm disappointed in terms of price and and production right is Lockheye. I don't want to get away from him because I know his potential. But at the same time, I'm like, who else do I go with?
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: I don't want two reds and I have McWright and I like McWright just a little bit better than Wilson enough don't like either of them.
Grumpy Old Prop: Well,
Grumpy Old Prop: about what about Dewey?
Jarrod Dyke: And yeah, and that would be the thing. Like I could go little, I honestly was never really sure if Dewey was going to not just pull one of his usual bullshit moves and bite me.
Grumpy Old Prop: he said he's only had he's only had two matches under
Jarrod Dyke: So I've stayed away from him.
Grumpy Old Prop: under ten points and one was
Jarrod Dyke: Right, and now and I will not pick him because I want to keep doing that shit.
Grumpy Old Prop: at the Yeah, one one at the Blues and one at Western Force.
Jarrod Dyke: Just, you know, might be at my detriment.
Grumpy Old Prop: So like two tough road games.
Jarrod Dyke: Oh, yeah. And that was a gross game out there.
Grumpy Old Prop: Everything else. Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: And that one, he only missed.
Jarrod Dyke: So um i I may go...
Grumpy Old Prop: but He got nine and a half. He only missed by a half point.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: So like, yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, had Gleason. I may stick with Australia and go with Bobby V. And then just ride the other three guys I got.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: So personally, but yeah, you're...
Grumpy Old Prop: Sit Carlo Tisano this week.
Jarrod Dyke: um I moved him out last week. I was like, womp, womp. And I actually moved Artie too. i was like, sadly, I don't think Artie's getting it.
Grumpy Old Prop: oh i I still played Artie because I'm like, I have to because he's Artie.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, but still. um Halfback's kind of picking itself, although you could probably argue for the top three as much as I like Noah Hotham.
Jarrod Dyke: Um... Roygaard, McDermott, Ratama all could have cases.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: um I think the two, the one and the three are probably the strongest ones right now
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah, I have Roygaard and Ratsama as my my two scrum halves.
Jarrod Dyke: but yeah
Grumpy Old Prop: I'm just not going to make a trade there.
Jarrod Dyke: yeah
Jarrod Dyke: because yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: just not going to touch it.
Jarrod Dyke: Because Roygaard's Roygaard and Ratama's playing at home.
Grumpy Old Prop: I'm going leave it. Right. Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: So that's the sad news for McDermott as much as I like the guy. So I think that's where it's at. It's those the two Kiwi guys are one and two and then McDermott's three and then Everyone else is kind of playing plan for for fourth there.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: um
Jarrod Dyke: I don't know if there's a move that you can convince someone to make away from DMACC.
Grumpy Old Prop: Well, that's the other have Barrett as my 10, and I just haven't been able to switch it back to DMACC, but I think I will this week.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, but I have... made that determination. I was like, i need to get D-Mac back in now. And I've had been sitting there with Barrett wasting away in my lap, although he's not been bad, but he's just not been amazing.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. Right.
Jarrod Dyke: It's certainly some weeks.
Grumpy Old Prop: Well, I mean, he had more points than DMACC last week. So, um but that was last week.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, but quality opposition and yeah, so forth.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: I'm just saying it was helpful. Like the fact that I didn't make that trade last week that I kept Bowdoin paid paid off for me one week for one week.
Jarrod Dyke: yeah yeah for one week one week
Grumpy Old Prop: Yay.
Grumpy Old Prop: And my other fly half is Tom Lina, who's been pretty excellent, who got me points because he just they decided to inexplicably kick a goal um against the Hurricanes.
Jarrod Dyke: yeah might have to trade that one out if I can help it I know what the fuck what the actual fuck guys um
Grumpy Old Prop: So I was like, all right, that actually helped me out. But damn. Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Is Tupaya, I don't know the answer this. Is Tupaya hurt?
Grumpy Old Prop: Yes, he got hurt in that.
Jarrod Dyke: Or are they just keeping him?
Grumpy Old Prop: I believe, yeah, he got hurt in the in the game um last week.
Jarrod Dyke: Okay, he did. Okay, so they're being cautious with him.
Grumpy Old Prop: Or he might be out.
Jarrod Dyke: Still.
Grumpy Old Prop: he they They stretched him off. I think he got a bad knock.
Jarrod Dyke: Oh, Jesus.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Okay, well, that's not good. Might have to eliminate that.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: um Folks that still have Rico Ioani in your lineup, I need you to just come back to Earth a little bit and realize that he's been bad this year.
Grumpy Old Prop: It me. you're You're talking about me.
Jarrod Dyke: Do you have him?
Grumpy Old Prop: I have him. I just haven't been able to trade him out.
Jarrod Dyke: Oh, condolences.
Grumpy Old Prop: ah Yeah, I know. um I just haven't been able to train him out. So, like, I think I'm probably... I mean, I have Proctor as my other center, too. So... And then Quintupaya. So I've been, you know... Rico has not been starting for me.
Grumpy Old Prop: um Although, did he this past week?
Jarrod Dyke: hope not
Grumpy Old Prop: did i Did I do something silly? I may have actually done something silly and forgot. Yes, I forgot to trade him out for Quinn Tupaya, but it worked because Ioannis got 26.5 instead of 4.5 for Quinn.
Jarrod Dyke: oops well there you go happy mistake yeah yeah definitely definitely um
Grumpy Old Prop: So, um yay. Like, the happy fuck up. I'll take it. Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: yeah And then i like Ikitao personally. Otherwise, if you can get a Proctor and Ikki or something similar to that, then you're you're in business.
Grumpy Old Prop: I still like Fluke as an option too.
Jarrod Dyke: I know. I just wish he had played more this year.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Would have been extremely helpful for a lot of reasons.
Grumpy Old Prop: But I like his matchup
Jarrod Dyke: Hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: against Enor.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: I think he's got the athleticism over the centers there. um So we'll see.
Jarrod Dyke: We'll see. um and I mean, we're talking about ah guy that's like otherworldly some days and just completely spits at one some week, but 8 million on Bill Jordan. Yes or no?
Grumpy Old Prop: No.
Grumpy Old Prop: um ah there's There's other... like i would i would honestly... um and He's in my lineup already. and well He's in my team already. um The other guy for...
Grumpy Old Prop: for the The other guy.
Jarrod Dyke: Oh, yeah, that guy.
Jarrod Dyke: He's
Grumpy Old Prop: I'm not happy that he's there, but he's there.
Jarrod Dyke: there.
Jarrod Dyke: um
Grumpy Old Prop: And don't again, don't be fooled by Ruben Love and his points per game and his overall points because he has the T.
Jarrod Dyke: Yes.
Grumpy Old Prop: Unless you're going to give him the T, which I wouldn't.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, those are when he has the tea.
Grumpy Old Prop: um
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, while they're laying Brett Cameron's leg, you know heal up a little bit.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: he Listen, Ruben Love played brilliantly last week. Like, don't don't get it wrong.
Grumpy Old Prop: Right.
Jarrod Dyke: Like, think he missed one off the tee maybe, and he's been better. so I think whatever it is about Brett Cameron coming back, probably taking some pressure off him, um has made Ruben Love play a lot better.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: And thusly, he has been able to execute off the tee a little bit better. So that's good. Good for the Hurricanes. Not really awesome for you line up because you don't want to have to designate a kicker for,
Jarrod Dyke: for a guy in the back three unless you really want to in which case you know you'll to live with the consequences otherwise um if you have dmack and you want to live with that that's okay you could do worse
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: Right. Because DMACC will get points in other ways.
Jarrod Dyke: yep agreed um i think most people have leroy cotter in their team at this point just because of his price but he's worth he's well worth it at this point too
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: He is. Because he's a he's been a focus. like It's not like he you know they have all these guys, but he's been ah they've been um getting him the ball to get him the ball because fuck, he puts up points and D.
Jarrod Dyke: Yep.
Grumpy Old Prop: Swartz tries for fun.
Grumpy Old Prop: Not that Sean Stevenson doesn't, but the production is certainly there from from Leroy Carter.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, well, I mean, and I like Stevenson.
Grumpy Old Prop: God damn it, Leroy.
Jarrod Dyke: I like, goddammit, Leroy. Wait, did he go? um Yeah, for Stevenson and Narwa, they've been productive.
Grumpy Old Prop: Double dots.
Jarrod Dyke: But yeah, I mean, if you're talking about dollars to donuts here, it's it's Carter. um Speaking dollars, that's yum. um
Jarrod Dyke: Tool at $7 million or right for $8? Is right worth the extra million for the extra two points per game?
Grumpy Old Prop: I think yes, since I have right in my squad and I don't have tool in my squad.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm-hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: Um, and instead I have that other guy that we talked about. Um, so for me, yes, um I'm a yes on that.
Jarrod Dyke: I would guess.
Jarrod Dyke: Okay.
Grumpy Old Prop: And, uh,
Jarrod Dyke: Mm-hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: Let me make sure I have it right. But yeah, I will go with the fullback over the wing. um the the The production of fullback.
Jarrod Dyke: and yeah
Grumpy Old Prop: Because again, every time they kick, you know, right being back there and and running it up is is points. So like it's, he'll get more opportunities, I think.
Jarrod Dyke: Well, the back three is something that we tend to dump our money into when it comes to these salary cap games, um excluding Leroy Carter.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: um There's a few guys that are $5 million or under. um Finning Anofo from the Hurricanes, Mirrorhead, Lamb, Lockie Anderson, or Fiocchi from Crusaders.
Grumpy Old Prop: no
Jarrod Dyke: If you had to pick one of those guys because you're trying to save a few bucks, maybe on that bench wing, that bench outside back,
Grumpy Old Prop: oh I don't like any of those options, but I'd probably go with Fihaki.
Jarrod Dyke: Okay.
Grumpy Old Prop: i don't, again, not liking it. This is like kind of gun to my head. Okay, I have to pick one of them.
Grumpy Old Prop: It's Che because I think also because I think he'll be playing next week. So you just kind of hold on to him.
Jarrod Dyke: That's fair. That's fair. Yeah, I mean, you could make a case like Mirrorhead somehow found points this year. I have no idea how, but he has because in the past he's been...
Grumpy Old Prop: He's been scoring shitty tries against shitty teams when he when he does. so
Jarrod Dyke: Oh, I... i Yeah, no, I agree.
Grumpy Old Prop: And AJ Lamb is the the the what is the reverse.
Jarrod Dyke: I've seen it.
Grumpy Old Prop: It's the curse. It's the the other way around. he's He's an outside back playing 12.
Jarrod Dyke: Right. Which is not awesome. so For the most part, that's usually not awesome.
Grumpy Old Prop: No. um I just don't see him getting in the space, especially not with the return of Talaya and Clark.
Jarrod Dyke: Hmm. Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: It's just
Jarrod Dyke: don't know. um Anderson's has been boosted, obviously, by a 30-point game against Juve. They died down a few walk-ins.
Grumpy Old Prop: Just, just no, just, I'd honestly rather go, um yeah, I'd rather go Fahif, yeah, Penianganufo,
Jarrod Dyke: Yep. Nope. Don't be silly, folks.
Jarrod Dyke: yep yeah agreed okay so that's what we that's our thoughts we will put some so some semblance of sheet out for these two for these two things this week um but you're certainly welcome to reach out with us for questions when we do or beforehand um but we appreciate you guys that listen to us and support us and um you know we we really really do um
Grumpy Old Prop: myself.
Grumpy Old Prop: Hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: Have a lot love for you guys. that Just give us your time every week. But enjoy the rugby this weekend, and we'll catch you guys next week, hopefully. And enjoy.
Grumpy Old Prop: Later.
Jarrod Dyke: Again. Cheers.
