Speaker: Hello everyone. Welcome to Grace Talk, a podcast developed by Grace Temple Church Louisville to share godly devotionals and interviews to help save the lost and encourage the saved. Let's go down to our presenter and listen with an open heart and an open mind. Hello, I'm Elder D. Anthony Ray, and I'd like to welcome you to Grace Talk. This is episode number four.
Speaker: And today I just simply want to encourage you to trust God. You know, we can put our confidence and our trust in so many different things. The truth is that the outcome is always the same. It always leads to more adversity or it always leads to failure. However, maybe you're like me.
Speaker: You've put your confidence in other things, whether it was people, whether it was some addiction. But when you put your confidence in your trust in God, you found out that you've placed your confidence in someone and something who can actually provide you what it is that you need, can provide you direction,
Speaker: can provide you with stability, can provide you with growth, can provide you with the love and the care that you need. You see, God knows everything that we're going through at this very moment. Not only does he know what we're going through at this moment, but he also knows what we will have to face in the future. So today, I want to encourage you again, put your trust in God.
Speaker: See, when we put our trust in God, he will place us on godly paths. See the Bible says in Proverbs chapter three, verses five and six, trust in the Lord with all thine heart. Lean not unto thine own understanding and all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths. Not only will.
Speaker: He placed us on godly paths, but even on those paths, when we trust God, He will be with us wherever we go. He says in Joshua chapter one, verse nine, verse nine, have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage. Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with thee, whether so ever thou goest. Not only that,
Speaker: While we're on the path, he'll make sure that we're stable. He'll make sure that we grow. He'll make sure that we are fruitful. He says in Jeremiah chapter 17, verses seven and eight, blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters and that spreadeth out her roots by the river.
Speaker: and shall not see the wind heat coming, but her leaf shall be green and shall not be careful in the year of drought. Neither shall cease from yielding fruit." Wow, I don't know about you, but that's an encouragement. That's a blessing to me to know that if I just put my trust in God, He'll direct the paths that I take. And not only will He direct the paths that I take,
Speaker: but he will be with me while I'm on this journey. And while on this journey, no matter what winds may blow, no matter what situations may come, he'll make sure that I'm like a tree planted by the rivers of water. He'll ensure that I'm stable and not only that I'm stable, but that I grow and that I'm fruitful while I'm on this path. Today, again, I don't know what you've placed your trust in,
Speaker: I don't know what you have confidence in today, but if it's not the Lord, I challenge you. I encourage you. Trust God. He cares for you. He loves you. And he wants to see that your end is to spend eternity with him. All you have to do is trust him. All you have to do is believe him. Be encouraged. God bless. This concludes our segment.
