It's been ah journey, but also something that I feel like went really quickly. so go I guess that's kind of life, right? But I wanted to recap for the listeners. If you haven't listened to every episode, highly recommend going back and starting with part one. been doing this series with Holly Fortune on the gospel of peace. And so episode one, if I could summarize it quickly, was about the peace that we have with God.

I'll let you take it over, that was kind of my my little brain dump there. Yes, it's a good recap. know, was thinking about this quote this morning, Lewis. didn't look it up, so I'm paraphrasing it. C.S. Lewis says something like, if what God says is true, if the gospel of peace is true, if if Christ is who he says he is, then it's of infinite importance. If he's not, it's either true or not true. And if it's not true, it's of absolutely no value.

but if it is true it's of infinite value infinite that kit what it can't be is like moderately important it what it can't christ can't be in the gospel of peace can't be just something we add in it's either true and we have to go all in or it's not true and we need to run from it as heresy you know, yeah and so it really kind of comes down to do we trust, you know, that word again, that do we have an attitude of trust towards God and towards the word of God? Do we look towards him to understand what's true? Are we going to keep looking towards ourself and, and reject the truth? So i was just thinking about that this morning, just even praying before I got on here that, you know, Lord, help me communicate what you want communicated. know, so I was saying to the Lord so that

I don't get hung up on things that he isn't necessarily wanting me to focus to too much on. And I was just thinking if we took like our jobs, our family, you know, our houses, our vacation houses, our entertainment, all the the grocery shopping, all the things we do, we added it all up and then we put it all together.

And, um, in doing that, I keep calling myself to action too, because I'm human too, and I can get lazy and things too. So it's not just about your listeners need Holly to call them to action. So our first call to action, this sounds so simple, but it was having ears here, hear the gospel. That's that first call to action is having ears here. Scripture says having ears, they do not hear. They won't hear. They won't receive it.

The Secret Place and Soul Nurturing

a action for us to posture our heart to really hear and to really receive and to really trust. That second call to action really is to turn ourselves into God. There is an an action of the heart.

It's a one-time big decision. You've talked about this before, Megan, on another podcast we did. It's like the macro decision to turn ourselves in. and to believe, but then we have to continually decide every day to keep ourselves submitted and surrendered, right? That's our second call to action that we talked about. And I just made a note in here, because I think it's so important that God loves us. This is about the love of God, you know, yes, it's the gospel of peace in heaven on earth, but God so passionately loves us. He wants us to return to him

He wants us to inherit all things. He's God. So his love and his motivation is so extreme. It's not like dribbles. You know, he's like, here's the kingdom. Here's my kingdom. Here's Christ. Here's the Holy spirit out of his love. He wants us for us. We have to also just keep letting his love draw us to that, that motivation. Yeah.

Yeah. To surrender. Our third call to action was to be filled with the Holy Spirit. We have to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I've said this before, and this is kind of a recap, but we absolutely cannot walk out a new creation.

Christian, we'll call it life without the Holy Spirit. Sadly, you can walk out a religion. You absolutely can have a religious construct, which is not the gospel. That's not what we want. So you've got to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Fourth call to action was spend time in the word of God, right? The word of God does need to keep us on the straight and narrow so that we don't get into any kind of like mysticism or other lanes of things that can happen out there. So we do need to be anchored in the word of God.

Our fifth call to action really was actually number five. It feels like it was number two, but it was when i was thinking about it's number five is to start stepping out and encouraging people. And the reason we said that, just if you guys remember is because it's how we posture ourselves to get into action.

As we first start with just encouraging so that now I'm more postured when the Holy Spirit wants to flow or when I'm ready. And I understand that more. or Like you've said before, Megan, like I didn't really feel like the Holy Spirit was flowing, but the Holy Spirit will flow if we keep posturing ourselves that way. It's a very important step that we've got to just continually make ourselves do is step out, encourage people in public and even family members too. doesn't have to be a stranger.

could be a neighbor. Our family number. Our sixth call to action is what you were touching on is the secret place, is get in the secret place. Learn about it. Just go there in your car, buy a lake, in your closet, in the bottom of your shower. Wherever you have to go get private, get secluded with God, place yourself under his watchful eye, let him father you.

ah cannot stress this enough. If you don't have a secret place practice, the likelihood that we get into a religious practice is pretty high. But when we get into the secret place, it just becomes real.

We know God knows us. We know we're known because he's speaking to us in a very personal way. And we have this father-child relationship that's growing and building.

So we don't depend on a pastor. We don't depend on another human being, that we are a dependent child, you know, of the father. Really

the secret place, it doesn't have to be exactly in that order, like step one, two, three, four, five, six.

The secret place needs to be in there really the whole time, just learn and grow. in that area. And I just want to remind the listeners, the secret place we touched on this last week is the place that God nurtures you.

So, so often we're like reciting verses trying to make the reality of God happen. In our life, I've done that. And really, we need to go in the secret place and enter into, which is what we've been talking about all along, the love of God, the kindness of God, the reality of God. That's the way we go into the presence of God or become super aware. It's not like it's not there and then there.

But we going into means we become, we bring ourselves so that we're fully aware, mind, body, spirit of the presence of God. He nurtures us. He delivers our soul from entrapment.

We desperately need this. you know We don't know how entrapment this, the secret place is where we get deliverance for our soul, our mind. It's where we get nurtured and loved by the father. We know that we're known.

We know that we're known in the secret place. He restores our soul. He reveals to us more clearly who we are. He shares knowledge with us. You know, he gives us what we call these downloads, these moments, you know, where he delights in us, things like that, that just,

fill you up that you, that's just like food. It's food for your spirit and for your soul. And then lastly, what we're going to lean into today is what will start to happen. The more time you spend in the secret place, the more likely this, I believe it will happen for everyone, but we just may not know how to like really hear these kinds of downloads for a while. We may have to grow in that. And that's, I did. i think most people I know will need to grow in it.

But eventually the father will download something to you that literally goes beyond you. And as he's downloading it, you're thinking, what am I supposed to do with this?

This is like, this feels like this is like a national thing or global thing or It'll just feel kind of big. And that's number seven. That's going to be our call to action. Number seven. So number six is go into the secret place. and Our call to action. Number seven is to be ready to come out of the secret place with an assignment.

Okay. That's call to action. Number seven. This is how Jesus lived. away all the time into private secluded places. I personally believe his assignment as the son of God to go to the cross, defeat death. I believe he knew all that out of his secret place.

time with the father. Now, mean, he is a son of God. So I don't, I don't know that. I mean, he could have had other ways that he knew, right? Maybe there was just a nowhere in him. So I don't want to say that. I know that it only came out of the secret place, but I know that a good bit of it at least did come out of his time in the secret place.

So Christ says, as he was sent, the father now sends us. So he doesn't send us just to go try to do it. He wants us to do it in the way he

did it. which is to know the father and spend time in the father's presence to know he is loved. He'd always say the father loves me, right? I'm his son, he loves me.

So that our actions come out of intimacy and love with the father and not just this religious effort. So what we're going to dive into today is I'm going to share an example, which actually started this whole effort for me to lean in like I have been on the gospel of peace of a download that God gave me.

It was actually in March of 2020, right at the beginning of the pandemic. I'm going to share that today, but any thoughts on that kind of call to action recap, anything resonate with you? I think it just resonates with me because that's, this is the journey that I've been on.

And I think for someone that impatient by nature, i think God's constantly worked on you know, be careful what you ask for when you ask for patience, because he's really just showed me what it means to know him is that daily moment by moment. And you might not get ah download or have this super spiritual experience right away, but it's the continuous getting to know him and it's not getting to know him for a download. You know what I mean? Right.

I think that can get mixed up in my head sometimes of like, God, what are you, what do you need me to do? Like, how can I help? Where, where am I supposed to do What part of the body am I? And all of that.

So I think it all is just that reminder to First and foremost is about, having that relationship and just being with him. then when that's the intention, i think that's where he opens it up for more of like an assignment. At least that's yeah my experience.

Yeah. And I mean, obviously there's no formula per se with God, but it often happens that way. i mean, often we get to the deepest places of intimacy into me. You see in the secret place out of the darkest times in our life.

That's the kind of beauty from ashes out of the darkness comes light out of death comes light. It's I see it as it's how God forces pain and evil to turn for our good.

So, but that comes out of bringing it to him, right? Is laying ourselves bare before him with whatever we've all been through pain. We live in a fallen world. So what's so interesting is really this this moment, when I got this download, I was working for ah company and I was traveling, you know, large part of the country on a regular basis.

And they had just grounded all the flights at the end of February. And I don't think I even really fully believed it was a pandemic at that point. You know, it's like this is like when we thought, I don't know about you guys, but we weren't talking about masks yet.

I didn't know any of that. All I knew is people were getting sick. I don't think we even said COVID yet. I don't remember if we had or not. I just knew a lot of people were getting sick and they had to ground flights because it seemed like it was going to be like a mini or short term pandemic, I guess.

That's what I thought at the moment. So I was sitting right here at this desk and I was working and we were having, we moved everything to Zoom calls, which was horrible. it was like death by Zoom calls for and two years.

That was almost worse than traveling. But I was sitting here and I felt like I got to pray. People are getting sick. This is not good, right? So I, all I did was like kind of push back in my chair and I bowed my head.

don't always do that, but I did that to pray for people getting sick. And I heard the Lord say, go upstairs. I just felt that when people go, how you hear God's voice? You just feel an impression in your heart and your mind. You just feel like he's telling you or drawing you to go upstairs. So you just act on it.

So side note for listeners, you want to learn how to hear the voice of God, act on the things you feel he's saying. If he won't act on the things you feel he's saying, how will you ever know if he said it? So you have to start acting on it and just let it prove out to be him or not him. And it's okay sometimes if we miss it.

But it's that trial and error where I learned, oh, that is him. Right. So then you, okay. So I go upstairs and I sit down this little love seat. I have, I'm i'm thinking at this point, I know not to spend too much time wondering why he asked me to go upstairs in the past. I'd be like, why is he letting me go upstairs? You know, I'd be all in my head, but I go sit on the love seat upstairs and I'm getting ready to pray up there. And I heard him say, get on your face.

And I can count on my hand how many times he's told me to get on my face. Not much at all. And I just did. ah laid down on my face. This is what he said. Now, mind you, I'm trying to pray for people that are sick.

All I said was, how do i pray for people getting sick? So instead of thinking, I know how to pray for people getting sick, yada, yada, yada, yada. yada I'm going to say, no, God, you tell me, okay, this is about depending on the father and being submitted to the father. And this is what he says.

I'm laying on my face and I hear him say, my peace remains. That's the first thing he said. My peace remains. My peace is the mantle of God on the earth.

In these moments where you're like before the Lord, you don't have time to think, what are you talking about? Right. I did think that later when I sat up, but in the moment, he's just downloading.

Okay. I'm not writing anything. He's downloading to my spirit. He speaks spirit to spirit. He said, my peace remains. My piece is the mantle of God on the earth. Then he says, my peace remains and no weapon.

And I hear it in this voice. No weapon formed against my peace will dismantle my peace. Like he's talking this kind of commander in chief voice.

And then he said, this war was waged by the smallest of minds, a war against my order of peace. I've never heard him say this to me before. Anything about order of peace.

He said, this is not my time of testing. Many think it's the hand of God. It is not. It's a phony and a mask. So later we started talking about masks. We weren't talking about masks yet. It's a phony and a mask. He says, declare my peace for all mankind.

My mercy and the mantle of my peace will remove this masquerade. And it
Mindset Shift to Heavenly Perspective

definitely turned out to be a masquerade over time. He said, ah my church must carry my peace, make much of my peace, understand my peace, love my peace.

My order of peace is my gift to the world. And my church holds the hand of my peace as an usher for the world. So he downloads this. So I'm laying there. So I sit up and I just start writing out what I heard him say.

And I get done writing it out. And I was like, war, Lord, what are you talking about? This is when i started asking questions because I thought, I'm just trying to find out how to pray for people getting sick.

And you're talking about a war that's been waged. And clearly it turned into a giant masquerade. And clearly there was a whole ordeal about mass in it. And there were things that were, I'm not saying that COVID wasn't a real issue. It definitely was a real issue.

But when God says it's a phony, he means that it was, it's not naturally occurring. Okay. That's what God is saying. And I didn't know any of this. I had no opinion on COVID or mass or anything of that.

But what I want to focus on is what he said. What stuck with me the most was a couple of things. One, he said, this war has been waged against my order of peace. That stuck with me. And he said a war that was waged by the smallest of minds.

So the other thing that stuck with me is he's not impressed. He's kind of saying whoever's conjuring up this war is They're small minded, meaning they're earthly minded. They're not heavenly minded.

They're small minded. That stuck with me that his mercy is the mantle of peace on the earth. He was talking about a mantle of peace that stuck with me. And then he also talked about the church must like that word must carry my peace, make much of my peace.

So I have this like download from the Lord. I don't know what to do with it. I don't think I told anyone for weeks because I just felt like this is, I don't even know what to do with this, right? This is you feel.

And then I talked to some close friends and said, listen, I got this word. Word. Will you like pray this with me? Let's just start declaring it. So all through 2020, I just was declaring as we're getting things on the news and all different kinds of things.

I'm declaring what God said to declare, which is he said, declare my peace for all mankind He said, declare that my mantle of peace is on the earth and that nothing will dismantle my peace. So all through 2020, I'm declaring this.

And when I would pray for people, had COVID, i would pray this over them. When I started to get COVID one time, paced around my house and declared this.

And the first time I took my stamp, it left me. and didn't, I didn't get sick. I had it for like 24 hours and it was gone. And then a year and a half later, when I got lazy with it, I brushed it off and I did end up getting it because I didn't take a stand against it.

Lesson learned. But I'm just saying like all through 2020, I just start marinating on this mantle of peace. In early 2021, January 2021, the Lord kept bringing this word back up.

because I still don't know what to do with it at the time. And he said, I want you to go break down every word that I said. I want you to go look up the word mantle, go understand, like go dig in to every single word using the Bible.

And I'm going to share that with you. And again, this is what launched me into this assignment. And what I want to say before I share this, how do I say this Lord? Like, and Megan, this, you're probably gonna people, i hope reaching out to you.

So get ready. Yeah. for mind renewal. And I'd be happy to answer questions too. I hope people do because we want this to be a call to action. Our mind, our human earthly mind holds us in bondage and captivity to the earth.

We think earthly, we think natural. Our thinking is so little and limited. And we don't know that until God reveals otherwise. Okay. So he has mercy for that and grace for that.

But at some point, if we really want to understand the gospel and and really start to understand what God's saying, we have to kind of just take that off and just imagine not being bound in time.

not being bound to the earth, not being just and ah natural human being, just going through the motions, kind of take myself out of that and just let God download the reality of things as a really it really is.

You're not just going into like a mindless place, but we do have to force ourselves to not let our mind shut down things that I'm about to say, because that's what will happen if we stay in a very like human limited earthly mindset. We, this is how our mind starts to get renewed. So I'm going to pause.

Well, no, I love everything that you're saying. And I love the visual of the mantle of peace. so I can't wait to hear what you found when you dug into the word mantle more, you know, if I'm just trying to break this down simply, i think the majority of us humans, if we were asked, would you like more peace in your life? I think most of us, the answer would be yes.

And so in addition to the call and actions that you shared, What's coming to my mind is what I've been learning in this Bible study of heaven. And I'd like to just kind of share some of those things too, after she's you're done, but it's just making the, because it is a choice to just commit to making the choice to walk in faith and not by sight.

I might not understand all of this yet, But I'm willing to commit to having open ears, having open eyes, having an open mind to having God fuel us with whatever it is to get there.

In regards to what you just shared, I did just kind of want to read. it reminded me of part of this week's, this final week study. So it's funny that I'm finishing this. This is coming to a close as we're coming to a close. Oh, well, let me just share this one part. And then, so she says that your mind is like ever drying cement.

You want to constantly think on things above. So your eternal reality and hope gets cemented into your every thought and emotion. You want to set your mind on things above because What you dwell on creates neuro pathways in your beautiful brain. And Megan can, she teaches all about that in her mindset with Megan.

Those pathways become mindsets, which are revealed in our footsteps. In other words, thoughts lead to feelings and actions and habits. We want our actions and decisions to be made with eternity in mind.

But she does say one important note, and this coat goes along Holly with what you were saying that Being heavenly minded doesn't mean that we disregard, dismiss, or diminish the earthly things we are called to steward, like our people, community work, or our calling.

For the moment, we live in this world, but we are not of it. And so we get to be Christ's servants in it. What we invest our time, resources, and energy in is a good check on our heavenly mindedness.

Are we invested in the old way of life that leads to death or the new way that brings life? So I think that just goes along with what you're saying. It's like, we're not sitting here saying, let's all go into la la land together. Right. Like we are humans. We are having this earthly experience.

Yeah. Let's not deny that. However, This is so temporary and small for what's to come. That is so good. I wrote it down. The mindset we have will be revealed in the footsteps we take.

I don't know if she said to take, I just kind of wrote that down. Yes. Those pathways become mindsets, which are revealed in our footsteps. That's yeah exactly what we're saying is, yes, we want to, for us, not just for your listeners, we're doing this for us too. We're all growing together.

and We want to have a biblical heavenly mindset. We want that, but we don't really have it until it's revealed in our footsteps. It's just intellect.

It's just information. But once it becomes a mindset, then it does start to become revealed in our footsteps. So it's heavenly minded walked out on the earth. Megan, we talked about this in the prayer class. When you, when you catch onto this,

What I believe happens is our spirit and our soul just swells up with joy because this is way more exciting than ah religious Christianity that's full of hypocrisy and all the stuff that people hate. But when you get a hold of, oh wait, we're a new creation. We're born from heaven.

We need to learn to set our mind forward. on heavenly things, which initially sounds so impossible and mysterious, right? But when we begin to do that, then we do start to manifest a reality of in heaven on earth.

The mind is set in heaven. but we're walking it out on earth. And so it's this dichotomy of this timeless, supernatural, no lack, total peace, joy, walked out on earth that has all kinds of lack, all kinds of pain, all kinds of issues.

And it will always feel a bit like a tug of war. Like it is, we are going to kind of toggle in it. So we're definitely, I love what you said, Lauren, we're definitely not suggesting to people just to have this delusional perspective that everything is done. the kingdom is fully set up and you you either know it or don't know it.

That's not what we're saying there. Scripture clearly does say we're not what we will be one day. We're still progressing. The kingdom isn't fully consummated and it will be one day when Christ returns, whatever that looks like. We do need to own where we are now.

So we're back to that red dot. We've got to understand where are we now? And then learn to think that way and then do our best by the grace of God, by the power of the Holy spirit to walk that out in our very natural earthly lives, grocery shopping, going to target. And I mean, that's for us here in Western comfortable culture. It's not necessarily the same in other cultures. Yeah.

And because we are on this earthly experience, we get really wrapped up and and stuck in old ways of thinking. And so the biggest thing about renewing our mind is it is moment by moment, but it's cool because the more you do it, it actually gets easier is what I've noticed. And you do, you can with God, you can get rid of old mindsets.

That's also like a false belief that a lot of people believers have, in my opinion, is like the goodness of God is surrounding us. So to have little areas when you're talking about, and I would love to hear next about what the mantle of peace means, but I think going back and remembering the little triggers and having little sayings that are from God to yourself to remind you of who you are and how you were made to think versus the other way around. God's Government and Peace Order

i mean, like just to touch quickly on a couple things that talking about, bring it back to like the word of God in the beginning, the enemy accused God, Adam and Eve didn't have an accusation mindset against God.

until the enemy brought it forward. So this accusation that God will harm us, hurt us, that he's not for us, is what the enemy brought into human consciousness at the beginning.

So he asserted that God was withholding, that God wasn't really for them, or at least for Eve. And that is the the fall. That's that fallen nature. The enemy brought that in to bring action accusation against God. And what's interesting, he said that, you know, the enemy lie was that Basically, if you turn away from God and go your own way, your eyes will be open. But what happened was a blindedness, a spiritual blindedness, a spiritual death or darkness that came into the human conscience.

And so the secret place now jumping ahead in Christ, we're given the revelation of who God really is. In Christ, God settles his case against the enemy, that the enemy brought a case against God at the beginning. He made an accusation against God and humanity's kind of in the middle of this case, so to speak.

And in Christ, scripture actually says this in Hebrew, Hebrews, God rests his case on one man, the truth of who he is, his character, his love, his faithfulness, that the truth that he's for humanity, that he loves us, that he's given himself to us.

That's a whole nother episode right there with all the stuff happening out there. But anyway, Pastor Cody starts prophesying over me about God's calling me into places of government.

He's going to do more with you kind of behind the curtain. And he's calling you into places of government and given insight and downloads. So all that to say, God has confirmed this a thousand times over that this is something that I'm carrying, something that I'm walking out, something that I'm growing in and learning in. Colossians 119 through 21. Would you grow us in intimacy? Every single person listening and us here, us three here too as well, all the sisters, Lord, we do pray. We really genuinely ask that you would grow us and reveal yourself to us and that heaven and earth would become more and more real for us. Lord, we pray that it would be um personal for each one of us, that we wouldn't feel like we have to copy each other or and get the same kind of downloads as each other, whatever it may be, but it'd be personal and real and intimate, Lord, and exciting and full of joy and full of peace.

Lord, I continue to pray for provision and blessing, Lord, clarity, insight, understanding for each of them in those areas. And Lord, I pray for their families, their marriages.
