Introduction and Episode Focus
00:00:13
Speaker
What's up everybody? As soon as you start, they're like, yeah, what's up. Welcome. Through the log on games podcast for Friday, July the seventh.
Summer Game Fest Announcements
00:00:33
Speaker
On this episode today, we are going to go over the second half of 2023, our most anticipated games. Obviously it's been summer game fest time. We've had a lot of new games announced. We've gotten release dates on a lot of new or games that we didn't know we had release dates for yet. So we're going to kind of go through and map out the second half of the year. Cause the first half of the year was insanity. Um, and the second half of the year may also be insanity.
Matthew's Gaming Adventures
00:01:06
Speaker
do that. And that's about it with me today. Today on this episode, you can find him at X Uterate X. We have Matthew with us on podcasting. What's going on, Matthew?
MLB Gameplay Dynamics
00:01:32
Speaker
Oh, not too much. Not too much. Been playing lots of Diablo, been playing actually a lot of MLB the last few days. Their new season starts like like three o'clock tomorrow. And so I'm trying to get all this stuff in before the new season starts. They do something very interesting, something that I've not seen a FIFA or Madden or whatever they do. They're kind of like ultimate team style mode.
00:01:54
Speaker
Yeah. Um, usually the way that works is at the beginning of the year, special cards that come out are lower rated and throughout the year it gets higher rated. So by the end of the year, you have 99 maxed out, whatever. Right. This and this, they're just putting on high rated cards from the get go, but they're in sets. So season one is set one season two is set two, and you can only use cards, uh, online in ranked games from the last two seasons.
00:02:19
Speaker
And so, and then it has like a special spot where you can put one card from an older season in like a special slot kind of thing. And so, unfortunately, it keeps your teams changing.
Minecraft Transformations
00:02:29
Speaker
And that's you. But I thought it was an interesting thing. You can imagine doing that in Madden. I know you've played Madden, whatever. It's kind of like rotated cards. It's interesting. I don't know if I love it or hate it, but it's different.
00:02:42
Speaker
I know you've been on Minecraft a lot. Oh yeah. Yeah. We hopped back on the minecrafting. I turned my, my world where I built, speaking of FIFA, my world is called FIFA because we built a soccer stadium in it. And, uh, that's not the name anymore. It's EA sports FC. Yeah, that's true. But the Minecraft world is not. Um, but, uh, yeah, it's like, I don't know, probably five and a half, six years old of a Minecraft world that we've played on. I just turned it into a realm this last week. So you can.
00:03:11
Speaker
you know, play while I'm not online. I don't have to invite people. So it's pretty cool. It's fun. Also with today, more Diablo, of course. Also, it's today. You can find him in Diablo now. I was going to say it. I was going to say it. He is at Brown Berserker everywhere, but everywhere to be. We have Andrew with us on the podcast.
Minecraft: Post-Construction Enjoyment
00:03:40
Speaker
Okay. So before I forget, so going back to what Matthew just said, I've actually never played a Minecraft. Okay. So when, when, when people take the time to build these structures,
00:03:53
Speaker
What do you do after the fact? Do you just go and you just pull out your little, your little dude and just run around there and just admire what you did? No, you can. I tend to build things on such a large scale that I feel like I never finished him. So like, so like the stadium is like, if you were to stand in the middle of the field and look around, you go, this looks awesome. But then.
00:04:14
Speaker
Like you have to realize like the underneath of the stadium. I like, I want to turn that into like rooms and offices and kind of just like details. You're like, this just takes a long time.
00:04:24
Speaker
OK, but I enjoy it. And a lot of people play on creative or creative. I'm not familiar. You are with the Minecraft life, but creative mode. Basically, you can just fly around and have unlimited supplies, literally fly and have unlimited. You can build a lot faster. We we play on survival, meaning if I want to put dirt over here, I have to dig it up from over there to then have the dirt so I can put it over here. And so like we literally destroyed two mountains.
00:04:52
Speaker
in order to have the stone to make this massive structure. Okay. Cool. Cool. So it's fun. I enjoy it. I don't know. It's a, it's a good, um, kind of like the same animal crossing itch where it's just, I'm just chilling, chilling and doing something. So.
00:05:08
Speaker
And then for Andrew, there might be a mask exposed, you know, identities might be revealed in your room. So just giving you a heads up there. Just kidding.
Gaming Banter and Slipknot Masks
00:05:20
Speaker
It was on my floor Tom last week, the whole time. Okay. Yeah. I don't know why I didn't notice it. There may be a new mask in the working anyways. Oh snap. It's like Slipknot every record. Let's go. Yeah.
00:05:34
Speaker
Um, you been playing Diablo, Andrew?
Diablo Gameplay Strategies
00:05:37
Speaker
I am smoking the Diablo crack. Yes. Just like warlocks master race and destiny, you've decided to pick the master race, uh, necromancer and Diablo. So I'll do a quick explanation on this. So I played, um, in Diablo three, I played, what was the rogue in that game? What was that called? Monk.
00:05:57
Speaker
No, no, no. Oh, no. Maybe it wasn't. I don't know. Maybe it was just broke. I played some. I played as a monk in last game. No, I had like a crossbow in Diablo three. Yeah. Yeah, I think you're right. I just don't remember Diablo. Dark something or Dark Souls three. Oh, Demon Hunter. Demon Hunter. OK, I mean, Demon Hunter in Diablo three, which I would assume that Rogue in this game is
00:06:27
Speaker
Similar? No? Yes, maybe? I didn't play Demon Hunter in the last one, so I don't really know. Okay, so Demon Hunter did a lot of shooting projectiles, so that's why I think Rogue, because of the bow and arrow and all that. Anyway, because I play Demon Hunter, I was like, I'm automatically playing Rogue in Double Four no matter what.
00:06:44
Speaker
Last minute, I decided I want to step out my comfort zone and play something I've never played before. And I mean, no game in my gaming history have I ever played Necromancer. So this is my first time ever touching Necromancer. And I really thought I did. Nice. I mean, it is the best one out of all of them. OK. I've heard it's OP.
00:07:07
Speaker
I mean, I, I assume necromancer is the same and I want to ask you kind of how you're playing him in a second, but kind of mentioned last week, like with rogue. So I think it's super cool with this game. Like I am.
00:07:17
Speaker
Like all arrows all the time. I throw a trap down back up and to just shoot people. Right. And then, but you can also play it where you're like, yeah, stabby, stabby, get in stab people in the back kind of thing. Get out. Yeah. My buddy's doing this thing. He showed me last night where he, he puts a poison trap. The enemy's getting the poison trap and then he throws down like some ice thing and it freezes them in place. And then he just backs up and just starts project dialing like all of them while they're poisoned and like frozen.
00:07:43
Speaker
It's similar to me. I use the high straps as well, but I use the death trap as my ult, which is the one trap ult that you can pick. And the death trap does a lot of damage, but
00:07:59
Speaker
it not as much as the other not as much as the other alts but it has a much quicker uh whatever you cool down cool down much quicker yeah yeah yeah it's like like i think 18 seconds quicker plus wow yeah plus i have uh an ability thing on it to where like every enemy that is killed by that or in that death trap it reduces the cooldown by five seconds
00:08:22
Speaker
So like it, depending on what I'm doing, sometimes I can throw it down like twice in five seconds. Like it's really cool. And so it pulls people together and then I throw the ice trap. And so hopefully it freezes them and I'm just see what Andrew, what he's doing there. Sounds like what I do with my void build up with my warlock and the car. Yeah.
00:08:39
Speaker
It sucks them in. It kills them. The more energy I get back is based on the amount. See, it's the same game. But I love the fact that you can, as the rogue, like forget projectiles altogether if you want and just go in, like go stealth, go invisible, stab people in the back and run it. Like it's just cool that you can play. Those are the people that die when I go to the PvP zones. I've died like three times and it's always a rogue that comes out of nowhere. And then I'm dead. Wow. Scoots around.
00:09:06
Speaker
He goes away and I'm like, well, I mean, I wasn't trying to kill anybody here. I was just trying to get this thing done, but thanks a lot. So, so how are y'all playing necromancer in similar ways? Do you know yet? Or from what I heard? No, besides the skeletons. I don't think so. Now we're playing totally different. That's so cool. I, I, I think that Diablo has found a really cool home because like, that was one of my.
00:09:31
Speaker
skepticism of the game. I was like, I think this game looks awesome. I wish there were more classes that we could play as though, but then you get into it and it's really like every class is like two or three. And yeah, exactly. And so it works really cool.

00:10:10
Speaker
Andrew, you can find us on the threads app at log on games. Oh, wait, did you really do it? A hundred percent. OK, I was I was curious. I see people posting about it. I heard something about when we take that. That's where we are. I heard there was something. There was an article about if you install the app, you can't delete it. Is that true? I have no idea. Somebody just an article about that. I'm an old person now, so I don't know what you're talking about. It's the meta version of Twitter.
00:10:41
Speaker
Yeah, so the Facebook version of Twitter why sorry that sounds weird, but I know what you mean. I know what you mean. I know what you mean. I'm a Twitter. I'm a Twitter guy. So. So you sign up for threads because it's meta. You basically it asks you like you want to just sign up using your Instagram and you're like, yeah, it's like, OK, well.
00:11:03
Speaker
whenever the people you follow join, do you want us to automatically follow those people? And most people pick Yes. So basically, our Instagram and threads is the same thing. So we're log on, we're log on dot games, because log on games taken. Or you can go to our Instagram. And if someone signed up for threads at the end, they're like bio thing has their like little thread thing, click on it and go there. Right.
00:11:30
Speaker
Who knows? I'm always down for something new. You never know. Maybe, maybe we'll have a million followers on threads.
Anticipated Games Discussion
00:11:36
Speaker
We'll have no followers anywhere else. Um, but anyways, you can follow us at log on games or log on dot games, but basically just search log on games. You can find us. We have linked tree and all of our bios everywhere. It'll point you to our discord and our YouTube channel and all that kind of stuff. Sometimes we do giveaways. Sometimes we kiss. Wow. Right Andrew? Yeah.
00:12:06
Speaker
No, we don't kiss, unfortunately. We're not near each other to kiss each other. Sucks, man. One day, you know, one day we'll have a big old place all to ourselves. We can just kiss whenever we want.
00:12:22
Speaker
The logon games mansion. The logon games mansion. When we're influencers over on the threads app. So this is July. We're in July. We're basically halfway through the year. Years over.
00:12:43
Speaker
Um, usually at the beginning of the year, we do like our most anticipated games of the year. We did that, you know, back in the day, probably in like January or whatever. Now we are through the summer game fest craziness. Um, obviously we still have like Tokyo game shows coming up. Well, I guess that's like October games, calm and all that kind of stuff. But for the most part, the games that we know are coming this year are have been announced.
00:13:11
Speaker
games that we already knew about that have release dates for this year have been announced. So I want to start with July. And I wanted to kind of go down the list where we have a list from GameSpot.com. So maybe not everything's on here. But for the most part, it looks like the majority of the of the bigger titles and the bigger indies are going to be on here.
00:13:35
Speaker
And we're just going to go down, and there's
Exo Primal and Game Pass Impressions
00:13:39
Speaker
something that stands out to us. We can talk about it for a little bit, something we're excited about. We can talk about it for a little bit. As far as July goes, is there anything on here? Andrew, what do you feel about Exo Primal? Do you have any thoughts on this game? So I played the beta, and it's really fun.
00:14:04
Speaker
It's one of those games where, like, I would be more enticed to get it if I had three other friends that were like, yo, we're getting that game, too. It's not a pass. Oh, it is. OK. It's a game. Yeah. Yeah. Game pass. So.
00:14:19
Speaker
It's cool. I mean, the whole idea of the whole idea of just taking down like hundreds of dinosaurs and then like it's like the second half of the match is like moving a payload and you're like, it's like PvP, but you're also still dealing with the dinosaurs. So it was pretty cool. Like it's movement and everything was cool. But yeah, I don't know. I don't know if it's enough for like the full purchase, but like you guys are saying, it'd be cool to just play on, just dabble in on Game Pass for sure.
00:14:48
Speaker
What you just said is what I've heard on other podcasts as well. Because when you look like if you just watch the trailer for the game, it just looks kind of dumb. You know, it looks like when it looks like one of these games, it's like, you know, it's very Japanese multiplayer game. They usually don't hit people that have all the people that have tried it or like this game's actually pretty dang fun. Yeah. So and it's on a game path, so I'm excited to try it now.
00:15:13
Speaker
Um, yeah, it's coming to everything. But I mean, if it's game pass, you know what I'm talking about. Yeah. I, I, if you have game pass, I don't see a reason to not, at least not to like try it. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Uh, switch fans. I think you should get game pass and then we all three play. I have reasons not get game pass. So.
00:15:34
Speaker
Well, that's a good reason too. I've done two trials and both times I did the trials. I played the one game I wanted to play and I never touched it the other 29 days. I had it. I mean, that's what EXO Prime was here for. So I need to get another trial somehow.
00:15:52
Speaker
Uh, switch people. You have Pikmin four coming on July the 21st. I could care less about this game, but Pikmin fans out there. Here you go. It's a, it's a series that I've been curious about, but I've never played none of them. I would have never, I guess there would be four of them. They do pretty well. They sell pretty well. Keep making them. Yeah. Yeah.
00:16:18
Speaker
There's a game that is coming out, I'm pretty sure in July that is not on this list. I'm looking at things. Well, the game for July, for me, it comes out July the 25th, Remnant 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X and S and PC.
Excitement for Upcoming Games
00:16:35
Speaker
Recently they did, they've been given certain parts of the games to people. And so like YouTubers and stuff have been doing like two hour deep dives. And I've been watching them and boy, I'm excited. I'm excited boy. Oh boy. So I think it's only 50 bucks too. I'm curious. Okay. You've got me excited for it.
00:16:56
Speaker
So not only the trailer did look cool, but your hype alone might be enough for me to get it just to play with you. Let's do it. OK, did you say is that on Game Pass as well? I don't think so now. OK, PS5, X and S. And it's one of those games that like.
00:17:14
Speaker
You definitely need to play with other people. I've played it by myself, it's still fun. It's very like, it is Dark Souls with guns is what it is. It's a multiplayer Dark Souls with guns. That is an interesting comparison.
00:17:29
Speaker
I mean, that's what, that's from the developers mouths themselves. That's why they did the first one. I could see some of that. I just would have never gone there. Um, but I don't think it's as hard as a Dark Souls type game though. Right. But as far as just like how the game functions and, uh, yeah, everything.
00:17:55
Speaker
that I've seen about the second one. It's like they took the first one, they're like, all the quality of life fixes anyone would ever need, that's the priority. And so they did all of that. And now they're like, if you played the first one, it's the same thing. It was just like so many different worlds and varieties of worlds and enemies to go through. And they've really fixed the way that they did builds and stuff like that.
00:18:22
Speaker
um and abilities and there's more skill tree type things to do because it like in the first game as you remember it was like the two abilities you have are on your guns like you have two guns and those are the abilities that you can do
00:18:37
Speaker
With this, they do have that, but depending on what kind of class you want to build, and you can combine classes to have a little bit of both worlds. And then using certain abilities or talents or whatever more, we'll upgrade them and stuff like that. So it's going to be real fun. I'm excited to get into it.
00:18:56
Speaker
Okay. Is it, uh, I can't remember, is it game pass or free to play or any of that stuff? It's 50 bucks, I believe, um, on, and it's not coming to game pass. So it may not be, I want it to be a day one purchase, but I'm not going to play it by myself. No, I would say a couple of months down the line, if it comes to something or if it goes on sale for like 30. Um, right now on CD keys, it is 42 bucks.
00:19:23
Speaker
Yeah. So I think I'm going to be 50 news. Okay. I have questions. I have questions of questions. Um, yeah, I don't know. I, I thought the first one was fun. I enjoyed it. Totally agree. You got to have people to play with. Like you played it by yourself. I would not play that. It's fine because it's, um, what's the word procedurally generated levels.
00:19:53
Speaker
Yes. And not only the levels, but a lot of the NPCs, enemies, bosses. So like you can play through the campaign five times and get different bits of the story, meet different NPCs, get different loot, get different items and stuff like that. And the levels will be laid out different and everything. So.
00:20:13
Speaker
Um, when I played her by myself, I was like, Oh, there's some, I was like finding new stuff. So it was cool. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I understand. I just, I don't know. I did not find it enjoyable enough to play it by myself, but I also, but it was, it was really fun, but I also think I don't think I found it enjoyable enough to want to spend 50 bucks on this one.
00:20:32
Speaker
It was the cons for me was how dated it looked and felt when we played it. Yeah, you let me tell you what it kind of reminded me a little bit of. Not in like gameplay style, but just in kind of where it fits in the video games. It was kind of like the first Plague Tale game, where it's like, hey, this is a really good game, but it's like a knockoff Naughty Dog game. That's kind of how Remnant feels a little bit. It's like, it's a good game, but it's not like AAA.
00:21:02
Speaker
Yeah, it was like, and even when we, me and Colby replayed it, it was like, it wouldn't let us join in on each other's games every time. Sometimes we had to restart. Sometimes it would kick us out in the middle of a mission for no reason. Like we would beat a boss and it wouldn't register that we beat the ball. Like little stuff like that. We're just like, I wish this game just worked. If this game just worked, that's what Remnant 2 looks like. It's going to work and it's going to be super fun. Oh my gosh. I will say I,
00:21:30
Speaker
I do think this game was probably better suited for free to play with some microtransactions just to get that that player base up kind of thing. But maybe PlayStation will nab it, you know, PlayStation. Yeah, I was looking trying to see game pass things. Anything else in July that you guys. See that you're into. So it's not on the list, but.
00:21:56
Speaker
Uh, I think I'm going to start streaming on Twitch July the 27th because F1 manager 2023 comes
F1 Manager and Final Fantasy 16
00:22:05
Speaker
out. Man, you know, I love it. I love it. I love a mouse clicking manager game. You know, I do. So now I'm pumped for that one. Uh, the last one, like the last year's was good and it was really cool because it was the first like
00:22:20
Speaker
of the like football manager, there's like an old motorsport major game, it's really fun, all that kind of stuff. And this is the first one that went, okay, we're gonna do a manager game, but also make it look like a legit, like graphically, it basically looks like the F1 game is out, like it's really beautiful. And so it's cool. It is so much more immersive when you're not having to
00:22:39
Speaker
You know, watch toaster graphics run around on your screen while you're managing them, managing, managing them for me. So that's going to be fun. I'm, I'm, I'm excited. There's, they didn't add all the things I wanted them to add. Um, but they did fix a lot of the gameplay stuff. There's a lot of, uh, content creators on YouTube now that have some early access stuff out for, you know, content things. So it looks cool. I wish they would have made it where you can create your own team and work your way up, but that's not there yet.
00:23:07
Speaker
It's got the menus though, that's what matters. It do be having the menus. I'm gonna reach back a little bit, only about like a week and a half, and just say that at some point this year, I will be playing Final Fantasy 16. So I'm really excited for that moment to happen. Everything that people have said about this game that are cons, that one would consider a con, are pros for Big Daddy here.
00:23:34
Speaker
Which makes me even more excited. They're like, well, it's not like a full fledged, like 100 hour Final Fantasy game. You can beat it in 20 to 40 hours and it's more story driven and stuff like that. I'm like, all right, let's go. They're like, it's not as RPG elements. It's more of like someone explained it as like almost like Final Fantasy's version of like the 2018 God of War. Like it's a new thing kind of like it's a more Westernized
00:24:02
Speaker
yes so story driven basic kind of like the story is the main part there's not as much RPG elements and people a lot of people like the battling is too easy or whatever i was like good everything you're saying makes me happy i'm ready see it's funny that you have that reaction because mine's the opposite because yeah
00:24:20
Speaker
it's from what i've heard there's no justification for it to be 70 bucks now i'm sorry let me take a step back it looks beautiful it really does but the content you are getting from the previous final fantasy titles aka bang for the buck whatever
00:24:36
Speaker
Is not in this like I heard there's no real endgame. I've heard there's no like extra dungeons It's just like yeah, it's a super stripped down version of Final Fantasy to the point where some people are like are we sure like we should have just called this Final Fantasy to begin with but yeah, it is what it is I
00:24:58
Speaker
I'm going to be taking a backseat, wait until it's like way cheaper, like maybe 20, 30 bucks off before I pick it up or the PC port. So yeah, the people that are upset about that kind of stuff. I understand. I understand the fact that like this could have been called not Final Fantasy. Like they could have just called this something else. Yeah. And maybe that would make it a little bit easier to swallow. But personally, I don't care.
00:25:21
Speaker
I played the first three minutes of the demo and I was like, this is like Game of Thrones video game. Oh, dude, I'm excited. Right after you told me what you did, I played, I think halfway through the demo. I still haven't completed it. I loved it. Straight up. Loved it. If you understand like the first like five minutes. Oh, it's ridiculous. It's absolutely ridiculous. Yeah. I was like, I'm going to I'm going to like this. I'm going to like this a lot. All right. Going into August.
00:25:47
Speaker
What do we got people? What are we feeling? What do we get? See, my game doesn't come out till September. So I'll speak up any balters gate, three people. You see the thing where there's like 140 hours of cut scenes or something like that. I'll still be playing Diablo at that point. So I don't, I will tell you what sticks out to me and I see it releasing on lots of things. Let me see. I'm going to double check. Oh, there's, there's a few August games I would like to speak about. Okay. Where's this list? I need to see this list because I need a reminder. There's too many games. There's too many games, but I'll put it in our cat here.
00:26:16
Speaker
There's a game. If you all remember me talk, actually, you'll speak. I'll get a thing and then I'll talk about. All right. Something that's interesting for Xbox people. Stray is coming to Xbox on August 10th so you can be a cat. Ballers Gate three is like a third moving out to which is a fun multiplayer game of the sequel. August. Oh, dude. Game of the year is in August. It's Immortals of Avium. What are we talking about? Come on. It's true. I thought that game got combined or something.
00:26:46
Speaker
every sounds like it was made with a word generator. I understand that people there's a group of people maybe one of them is in this podcast that love like anthem a lot but this reminds me right here like the way people showed it off during summer game fest like reminded me of how EA because it was both EA showed off like this game and I was just like they
00:27:12
Speaker
Like, and that wasn't that trailer. They're like, and we have this that we did reactions to and they're like, uh, fast combat. It was so slow. You're just making up words right now. And the people that played it during summer game fest, the podcast people of the world, they came back saying like, yeah, it's not it. It's fine.
00:27:34
Speaker
All they have to do is like black screen and it says 60 FPS. That's it. Yeah. They won the game. The FPS is like Lance. Yeah, they won. Yeah. So game I wanted to talk about August the 8th.
WrestleQuest and Starfield Anticipation
00:27:51
Speaker
Here it is. Here's the CPC.
00:27:52
Speaker
Oh no, it's washing out. It's washed out. Yeah, it's super washed out. Okay. It's a wrestle quest. I got a pin from pack. What is the wrestle quest? Um, I got to play it actually, uh, packs. I'd never heard of it until then. And they actually had a few live wrestling matches with people. They hired to come into wrestle. That's pretty nice. It's got like, like macho man is kind of like your coach through the game or whatever, but it's like wrestling.
00:28:18
Speaker
think about it'd be like if a super Nintendo game said you know what we're gonna make earthbound but it's your combat is wrestling it's like that it's turn-based is turn-based wrestling stuff but it's like super like 16-bit
00:28:36
Speaker
graphics kind of thing. And you're, I don't know, you're, you're on, you're doing quests, literally. I have a side quest to go to this thing. And I go and, uh, in the, in the demo that we played, uh, at PAX, there was like somebody that had, I can't even remember exactly what it was. They stole something or like roughed up the store or whatever. And they're in the back of the store. And so you're going in there, like catch them in the act and like bringing them to justice and you do so by
00:28:59
Speaker
You know, like the Pokemon thing. And now you're in a battle and the battle is you're picking a wrestling moves. Yeah. So it was fun points for a suplexing the three goblins. 100%. I bet you get to suplex goblins in that game. I would not bet you, I bet you Marty's in that game. He's one of the, uh, characters.
00:29:17
Speaker
No, but it was really fun. Like it was very like I like turn based RPG stuff anyways, and it was like very like tongue in cheek kind of funny. It was pretty cool. I I enjoyed that way more than I thought that I would do it. And I was trying to look up. I wonder like if that's a if that's like a game pass game, like, heck yeah. Sign me up. And it says it's coming. It's coming to everything. It is. I just wonder if it was.
00:29:42
Speaker
I mean, there's a lot of things that come to everything. And then there's another one later on in August that I wanted to mention. Is it Madden NFL 24? That's the one. No, it's not. Goodbye, Volcano Highs listed for the 29th. It is. Hopefully it's true. I think it's supposed to be true. I think so too. And I just really want to play that game.
00:30:07
Speaker
I do too, I'm a little weirded out by like how hyped and how much buzz it got when it was first announced. And like, if we- And they changed everything. Yeah, and me and you are very excited for this game. Like we are their audience for this game. And if you would have told me that this came out August 29th, I'd have been like, I had no idea.
00:30:26
Speaker
So that spooks me a little bit where it's like, I'm interested in this game and I've heard nothing, but hopefully it's fine. Like we don't even know what the gameplay loop is, do we? No, it's more of a visual novel with some like there's some rhythm based gameplay elements and stuff like that. And probably I would assume some decision making. OK, I mix this game up with the other game where you're starting a band. Do you know what I'm talking about? Mm hmm. Yes.
00:30:54
Speaker
It's kind of similar vibes to some. OK, I mix those two up. Yeah. This game is going to be better in that game. That game is like about the band. This game is more so like it's a fuller story that has some musical and band elements to it. OK. Yeah. Yeah. So I don't know. I'm interested. I hope it's not very expensive. I don't know if they've announced a price on that yet.
00:31:16
Speaker
We should, we got to see that first at PlayStation's thing. They showed like a million games, right? Yeah. I hope it comes to the PlayStation game catalog. That would be sick. That'd be a good one. And also it's possible that if maybe PlayStation does have another thing in the next couple of months and they do show it. Or it's it's like free game of the free game of the month for, I mean, that's August 29th. Maybe it's the free game of month for like September.
00:31:46
Speaker
Sure. What day of the week is August 29th? Because they put them up on the same day of the week. Interesting. I'm just interested in that game. It could, it could come out and be bad, but like I have, I'm holding on the hope for that one. Same. I am not interested in Madden NFL 24 Matthew, but I will say this might be the last year in which we don't buy a EA football game.
00:32:12
Speaker
It's possible. There are, there, there are things happening. So we'll see if that works out or not, but
00:32:20
Speaker
I hope you're right. NCAA was supposed to come out this year and then it got delayed to next year. It got delayed and now there are some court things going on in terms of players trying to get more money basically out of it. That kind of deal. We'll see. Yeah, we'll see. I think you're probably talking next year. I just hope that they do some sort of similar mode to the online franchise or online dynasty thing they had before they do that. I mean, I mean, I'm probably in any ways, but.
00:32:50
Speaker
Um, a game that is the kind of game that I like more than anybody else that exists comes out August 18. Your classic, your classic three or four V one multiplayer game. We got the Texas chainsaw massacre coming out August 18th. We're all trying to kill chainsaw man. And this is also coming to game pass day one.
00:33:17
Speaker
So I at least get to try it. Yep. Last game like this was evil dead, which is actually a really good game, but it wasn't a game passing. I had to actually purchase that thing. So I'm glad that this one's coming to game pass so I can just try it out. Coming to everything. Um, I just. Okay. This, this list has a lot of different games on it and I'm like, you know, they're every, every game is.
00:33:43
Speaker
a link, you can click on it, figure out what it is. The last game of the month, that list on here is a game called war hospital. And I was like, what is that? And I click it and it takes you a page that has nothing on it. It's like, oh, it's a game called war hospital. Okay. Thanks for that information. Andrew, August, the 25th armored core fires of Rubicon. See, I forgot that was, I didn't realize I was in August. I didn't either. Oh, that's pretty quick. Yep.
00:34:13
Speaker
I want that. You've seen the gameplay that came out of Summer Game Fest and you're in it, you're in it, you're in it to win it. Yeah, there are some YouTubers and whatever famous gamers that got to see like a whole gameplay breakdown and I've watched a video or two on that and it sounds really cool, really, really cool.
00:34:44
Speaker
Um, see if stars, I know people are interested in that, uh, little indie gamer. There's some skill cool under the way I was looking at it. Um, anything else in August for me, I think. All right. Well, we are in September where a Baldur's Gate three for PlayStation five releases.
00:35:05
Speaker
And then the biggest one for different reasons, depending on where you lay September the sixth starfield for the Xbox consoles and PC comes out.
00:35:17
Speaker
We will see what happens with that, but it is finally coming out for Xbox. Hopefully it's good. I don't have a feel for that game at all. Like I wouldn't be shocked if it's a nine and a half or 10. I'm not gonna be shocked if it's like a six. Like I don't, I just don't have a feel for it. And it's also like, if it is like a nine and a half,
00:35:42
Speaker
or even like a 10 out of 10 game to be like, this is the best RPG from the last 20 years or whatever. Yeah, it's still for me personally, it's still just not a game.
00:35:54
Speaker
that I think I would I want to get into. Maybe if it's like a like a lull or something that's like in September, I can't imagine it will be. Is it because of its scale or just a lot of it? A lot of it is because of its scale. Yeah. The games like Oblivion, Skyrim's, the Fallout type games, Starfield involved, all these games that are kind of like larger than life, like kind of just live in the world and you can do whatever you want stuff.
00:36:24
Speaker
I've always I've been fine with them, but I've never like really gotten into one before you know Okay, cyber punks all those all those kind of gotcha Interesting, but this could be different You know it's like even no man's sky like I played for like 20 straight hours And all I did was mine like one thing and sell it for a whole bunch in and I was like oh
00:36:46
Speaker
All right. And it's like, I guess I can go do other stuff, but it's just like, yeah, it's too much to do. I just don't want to do it. Are you talking about vanilla? Are you talking about like more current? No, vanilla. We got it. It came out. Yeah. See, I played vanilla. Yeah. Yeah. I just remember. I was like, there's too much to do. And I just got turned off. I just remember the first like couple of days of playing no man's guy. We're like, it's supposed to be impossible to find each other. Let's try to find each other. And then like a few hours later, we're like, oh, there you are.
00:37:11
Speaker
It was like really? Yeah, it was not bad. That's insane. Yeah. This is when the all the farming games for Nintendo start coming
Game Pass Highlights
00:37:23
Speaker
out. So we got faith. Yeah. Coming to the switch September the 8th. Interested. If it gets a really good score, I might be on that. Bait and Kaido's one and two HD remaster coming in this week. Look good for RPGs. Yes. Great ones to lies of P September the 19th.
00:37:41
Speaker
That's a game pass game. That's two days after I get back. Let's go. Also see us on game pass, Andrew. Oh, shoot. And that is September the 19th. So we got to look at what comes to, okay. Texas chainsaw massacre comes out August 18th. All right.
00:37:58
Speaker
So you can just wait till like the 19th. That way you can, you might have to get two months. You might have to get two months. I will say this. No, no, no, listen, listen, listen. No, I, Liza P I'm buying on steam so I can play it on my steam deck as well. So sorry.
00:38:15
Speaker
Um, they're getting a little crap. I can say about, uh, starfield though, since we're talking about it is the only reason I think I'll probably play it is because it is on game pass. Like I, I would not, there's, there's like not even, it would take it coming out being a 10 out of 10 for me to go.
00:38:33
Speaker
Okay. I'll may, I might when it goes on. Everyone with game path should at least try it for sure. I think they will. I think they will. Yeah. And then you might possibly on day one have Twitter blowing up about like, Hey, your game's not working. That's totally possible. I can see that happening. I'm predicting they'll still be bugs. It's just like, are there game breaking bugs? You know, am I shooting somebody and they get launched into space and you log in and that's fine. Yeah. As long as there's nothing crazy happening. Yeah.
00:39:04
Speaker
Liza P. I'm excited. I've watched some people play the demo for that game and I'm not that kind of gamer. Yeah. Maybe this is maybe, maybe the game is just the one that gets me in, you know, I will say the same thing. Same thing. If it wasn't on game pass, I'm not trying this. That's fair. It's there. So sure.
00:39:26
Speaker
Um, also the same day, September 19th, mortal combat one comes out. Oh, September the 15th. If you get the early access bundle thing, but, uh, I mean, pretty much the same game here, um, between the last B and mortal combat. So basically identical. Same game. Wow. Basically identical.
00:39:49
Speaker
I'm excited for Mortal Kombat as well. I don't know if I'll buy it day one, but I've pretty much gotten all the Mortal Kombat games since like the 360 days. It's a game that I like to, that Emily will actually play with me so I can just literally just murder her. You know what I mean? Nice. Okay.
00:40:08
Speaker
Party animals comes out September 20th, also coming to game pass. It's going to be a fun time. We're going to get on that faux show. He's confident. He is very confident. Sounds like to me. Party animals. It's going to be a fun time. Which fire leads to PC early access? I am actually interested. Is this the game that I think it is? I don't know.
00:40:29
Speaker
Yes, it is. We've seen which fire a couple of times in a couple of different showcases. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I'm looking at now. I see. I see. It looks kind of like Remnant from a graphical standpoint, like the the choices they made for. Yeah. Like logos and stuff. Another game pass game. Andrew, you have to get game passed for September. I think we just pay day three coming September the 21st.
00:40:54
Speaker
Really excited. People that played this behind doors at Summer Game Fest said, lots of fun. So that made me excited. I'm ready to rob some banks with some friends. Again, only because Game Pass, but I'm in because of Game Pass.
00:41:10
Speaker
No, it might be we play it one night and then go, that was fun. We're good now. Yeah. But at least I didn't pay 60 bucks for it to do that. September, just on game pads, you have Starfield, Lives of Pea, Party Animals, and Payday 3.
Cyberpunk and Forza Motorsport Anticipation
00:41:25
Speaker
That's pretty cool. That's pretty incredible right there. It's going to be a good eatin' as they stay here in the South. Cyberpunk expansion comes out September 26th.
00:41:39
Speaker
Andrew, do you ever play Cyberpunk? I bought it on sale and I played the intro just to see if I could stream it. And technically things weren't working out. So no, I have not dove into that game yet. I have not. I'm similar. I played like the first 20 minutes. I was like, this is cool. I'll get back to it one time. I want to sink some time in and just never got back to it. So.
00:42:07
Speaker
Um, anything else in September, boys? No, October is the month. So October is the month. We're going to October game of the year. Detective Pikachu returns coming to the switch. October the sixth. Okay. Sure.
00:42:27
Speaker
10 out of 10 game of the year. Who would have thought Detective Pikachu beats out Resident Evil four star field. Breath of Zelda two. Yeah. Breath of Wild Two. Tears of the Kingdom. Tears of the Kingdom. Beats them all out. Yeah. Diablo four. Get out of the way. Detective Pikachu's here. For some motorsport. I'm pumped. It's been a while since we've had a
00:42:56
Speaker
non horizon fours a game. Yeah. Like, like the actual, I don't know what's anybody know off the top of your head, how long it's been. Hmm. I mean, it hasn't, it hasn't been this generation. So it's been at least like five years. Yeah. I'm doing some research. 2019. My guess ain't true. Remember 2019. Like
00:43:25
Speaker
Um, I'm getting horizons right now. He cheated. 17. I told you before I said 2017. It's a long time. So I'm good. Yeah. It'll be on game pass as well. Assassin's Creed Mirage. I don't care.
00:43:42
Speaker
But some people do. Some people do. It's October the 12th. Lords of the Fallen. October 13th. Andrew, are you interested in this? Could be cool. It's it's it's it's one of those things where I think if I did play it, I'd be like, oh, man, I really like this. But like just just seeing it, it's not enough for me to purchase.
00:44:02
Speaker
But I'm sure it would be something I would like. So what about the Grinch Christmas Adventures coming October 13th? That's more of a guarantee buy for me than to the phone. Again, it doesn't show any pictures or anything when you click on it. So I've never heard of it. Maybe it's not real. Maybe they're giving away a Burger King.
00:44:25
Speaker
Alan Wake to October the 17th.
Alan Wake 2 and PS5 Slim Rumors
00:44:28
Speaker
I'm excited for this game. That is a Andrew Fleming game. It looks like like it looks like Resident Evil. Yeah. That's a game that you should stream. That's a very you stream game.
00:44:40
Speaker
At the same time, because of all the games that we've just talked about, like in September, and just the first half of October, that could be like a Final Fantasy 16 situation now, where it's like, I have too many games that I'm playing to drop $70, I think it's only 60 actually, on this game. And also it's like, listen.
00:45:05
Speaker
If you can do it, you can do it. Okay. This might be one of those games. You just wait for it to be pre-owned. You know what I mean? Going to GameStop, get a pre-owned Alan Wake two for Xbox series X. Beat it in like four days. Take it back. Get, you know, I get a refund. You know what I mean? So what about us to have a digital only consoles and PCs? That's your own fault. Man.
00:45:30
Speaker
I have a digital only PS5, but if I don't, I guess the big box comes in handy. You know what I mean? I've used my disk drive. That's fair. I think I've, I think I've used the disk drive in my PS5 one time.
00:45:42
Speaker
Well, I don't have it on the outline, but Microsoft, the FTC stuff that's going on is under the assumption that. I know what you're about to say. There is going to be a PlayStation five slim. So that's going to be three ninety nine or two ninety nine. Forget what they said. Coming this holiday.
00:46:04
Speaker
Now, are we thinking that's diskless or with disk? Yeah, for sure. It said a detachable disk drive. Detachable. It doesn't come. My guess is that it doesn't come with one. You can buy one. And you can buy one in like USB. For $99.99. Probably. Of course. Of course. So it's interesting.
00:46:29
Speaker
The rumor price is in this here article but I can't find it. I think we've talked about the rumors throughout the years and I've been of the mindset with that. There should be a slim definitely before there's a pro. So I kind of hope there is a slim. It's just, is it like a slim bundle?
00:46:58
Speaker
That's what you need before the holiday season. You know what I mean? Especially if your PlayStation want to keep your foot on the gas. Yeah. You want to bundle that slim with Horizon Forbidden West, you know? See, I thought you meant bundle as in it comes with that drive, that detachable drive.
00:47:17
Speaker
No, because if that was the case, I would actually be tempted to see if I could straight trade what I have now for that. Yeah. Um, the article that I'd read just real quick scanning said they do not foresee it being as cheap as three nine nine to match the Xbox. That's super cheap. Not to 99 or three four to 99. Yeah. To 99. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I just, which that makes sense because wait, the rumor price is two 99.
00:47:42
Speaker
That was just that was a graphic that somebody had made and the article was saying we don't foresee it being that cheap. Yeah, there's no way. There's no way unless it is a somehow less powerful version, which I don't. I mean, I wouldn't see them doing the digital only PS five right now is five hundred, right? Or is it? No, it's four. It's three ninety nine, I think. Yeah. Yes. It's four hundred bucks. And I came out in twenty twenty like
00:48:10
Speaker
Is it a hundred dollars cheaper to make that now than it was three years ago? Well, here's a couple of things. Here's a couple of questions. If it's smaller, that generally raised the price in terms of being more expensive to make. Um, just because you're going to have to buy computer, you have to buy PC parts. They're going to fit in the smaller bundle kind of thing. But, and so they have the option of basically knocking 50 bucks off.
00:48:34
Speaker
and putting it out at that price or putting it out at the same price, but like, I don't know, maybe the hard drive is a little bigger or, you know, I'm saying that kind of thing. Yeah. One terabyte bundled with horizon forbidden West for three 50. That's a deal for a PS five. What if freaking P P S five slim for 99 with the pro controller.
00:49:01
Speaker
I just I mean, would you do it depends on how many skews do I want to go? Because the controller pro controller is how much? I don't care enough about the controller. Two hundred bucks. Two hundred is two hundred. Yeah. Right now, if you buy it at Dell dot com, you get a seventy five dollar Dell gift card. I'm on my way. Watch out. All right. Going back to the games here after element to October.
00:49:27
Speaker
The 20th baby. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 coming to PS5. Mm-hmm. And that might be another reason why I don't get Alan Wake 2 day one because three days later, Spider-Man. Yeah, that makes sense to be honest. 100%. That makes sense. For Alan Wake 2. Dude, this last couple of weeks of just really October in general is kind of insane.
00:49:52
Speaker
Yeah, the exact same day. Marvel Spider-Man 2 comes out. Super Mario Bros. Wonder for the switch. Really? Yeah. Same day, baby. Holy crap. I know. That's a lot of money being made on one day.
00:50:06
Speaker
Rest in peace, Alan. Yeah. Rest in peace. Like we just talked about those four games. There's four big games in September that are coming to Game Pass and then you hit October and you have Forza Motorsport, another Game Pass, a new Assassin's Creed, Lords of the Fallen, which is like Alan Wake 2, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
00:50:32
Speaker
And then the next game, I was about to say next game on the city. Skylines two is a game that I've, it would be a top three most anticipated of
City Skylines 2 and Hogwarts Legacy Skepticism
00:50:40
Speaker
the year game for me. If we did that, like, that is just, I love Sim city, those kinds of games anyways. And I've played the core out of city Skylines one and say Skylines two is game pass.
00:50:54
Speaker
And PC game. So like everything's on game, dude, game pass. Game pass is going to be great this fall. Right. Well, that's a game to me that makes a lot of sense for game pass because, um, city skylines, I don't know how long this first game has gone on, but you could, if you wanted to, I think you could spend 300 to $400 on DLC for city skylines right now. And so like.
00:51:16
Speaker
Here's the game for free on Game Pass, and then maybe you'll spend 70 bucks over the next few years on DLC kind of thing, you know? So that's a good that's a good Game Pass type game. I'm pumped. It's a bad time for that, too, though. Anything else in October, the only other things on this list, Metal Gear Solid, the master collection comes out alone in the dark remake of an older game that could be cool. I just hadn't seen enough on it yet.
00:51:47
Speaker
And then the only battle royale that was announced, but not at a show. So it didn't count head bangers, rhythm, royale for the switch. Oh, is that the one with the birds? Yep. Yeah. What do you mean a bird? November started slow down a bit, but we do have a new warrior where everything comes out in October.
00:52:11
Speaker
The day before, I wish Neil was here, the day before is slated for November the 10th. I still do not think this is a real game and it will not come out November the 10th. Cause it's not real. It's not a real game. It doesn't exist. This is not a real game that's made.
00:52:30
Speaker
Even the stuff that they've shown out last time compared to what they showed off for the first time, it looks like what they showed off the first time looked like The Last of Us Part 3 meets The Division 8. Like, just an unreal game. And what they showed off this last time literally looks like
00:52:48
Speaker
the Switch version of any game that comes out, any triple A game that comes out. It's just like, this looks poopy. IGN has an article from June 8th, so a month ago, but it said the day before devs insist the Steam page will return soon and reveal new gameplay details. So I don't know. It's not real. That's a month ago.
00:53:13
Speaker
Um, luckily for all you switch Hogwarts fans, Hogwarts legacy comes out November the 14th for potato edition potato. That game is going to run so bad on the switch. Just so bad. I don't know. Is that like a cloud version or is it like an actual game? It's gotta be surely.
00:53:35
Speaker
Look, all I'm going to say is this. I think that game runs at low settings on the steam deck at 30 frames per second. The steam deck. So I don't even know how it's going to run on the board. It's going to have four and a half frames a second. Yeah. Like the steam deck is infinitely powerful, more powerful than the switch.
00:53:59
Speaker
It's bad. It's gonna be bad. It may just delay it again. It's already been delayed basically a year for the switch. They just make the whole game cell shaded. It'll be all right.
00:54:09
Speaker
Persona 5 Tactica, which is an interesting game. That looks cool. That looks cool. Super Mario RPG comes out for the Switch November the 17th. Geez Louise. Great October and November for the Switch though. I think they need to slow down on making games. Just stop. I agree. Take a break. Go on vacation. I don't agree.
00:54:35
Speaker
It's too much, man. Because inevitably one of those comes out, everybody's looking forward to, I'm just going to pick on starfield because I had before can't wait. It comes out and it's like, it doesn't work. It's a six. Well, okay. I'll play something different. So like everybody, you know, the detective Pikachu, but it's like, Oh man. And like, it's like four out of 10. You're like, dang it. But you know, with those switch games, they don't, they don't mess with their Mario games. Every, like the worst Mario games are like eight out of 10.
00:55:04
Speaker
Yeah, so they'll be good. Mario is going to be for sure. The only thing slated on this game spot for December is jagged and closed monsters. And the only other game I can think of that still is supposed to be 2023, but we've heard nothing about it is Stellar Blade, the PlayStation exclusive.
00:55:27
Speaker
which looks really, really cool and still says 2023, which it still could be because if the rumors are true that they're going to do another showcase, like they could do another showcase at the beginning of September and be like, stellar blades coming out in December. Like they could do that. Um, I don't, I feel like if, I mean, like we said, it's the beginning of July, like if it was going to come out this year, I feel like we probably would already know, but who knows?
00:55:54
Speaker
Yeah, and we could still have some surprises on the way, but I'm kind of looking through some of the stuff to be determined.
VR and Meta Quest 3 Anticipation
00:56:02
Speaker
And then for me, gaming wise, I'm excited for I believe it's in September where the showcase is the Mediquest three showcase deep dive. Yeah, because I really do want to get back into the VR world pretty.
00:56:20

Pretty hardcore. There's a lot of good VR games that are out now that I want to play and a lot more coming that are going to look really cool. So I'm excited to make my VR decision at some point later this year, whether it's going to be PSVR or the MediQuest 3 is comparable, close to the same specs. I'm leaning that route simply because it's wireless.
00:56:48
Speaker
And I have to, there's less worry of the games that I purchased going away with the Mediquest since two and three are backwards compatible with each other. I love it. I love how you made that sound like you were like committing to play your college football over the next four years at such as I was looking for this. It really is. I'm going to pledge my next four years. That's how I'm going to do it. I'm going to go on our log on TikTok account and then upload a video. It's going to be me at a table.
00:57:18
Speaker
with, with hats, it's going to be the Vive Mediquest three and PS VR two. And I'm going to say I've committed to joining the Mediquest three and my parents are going to be with me. It's going to be great. Um, any other games you guys can think of for the rest of the year that you're excited for? I'm sure I'm missing something, but I can't think of anything else. Um, anybody excited for the PlayStation controller screen thing? Nope.
00:57:52
Speaker
No, absolutely. Any mobile games, any mobile games you guys have been excited for? Yes. Future seasons of Snap. Well, that too, I've been saying a lot of that. I finished the Battle Pass just in time for the last season. I got my... I finished the Battle Pass. Even though it's just Spider-Gwen. Just call her Spider-Gwen. Why the color ghost spider? That's stupid.
00:58:14
Speaker
Uh, I fin I finished her by, I finished it by getting, just spending gold on the last like six, six levels or whatever. I just went hard the last week and a half. I finished all the main stuff. I was like, I'm just going to buy it instead of grinding out more. So, and I have so much, like I'm to the point where it's making me spend both gold and, um, what you would call it.
00:58:43
Speaker
collectors tokens. No, not those the other. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The regular currency. I want to call it glimmer, but that's a destiny thing. Yeah. That stuff is like, yeah, you can't unlock this thing because you have too much. Okay. That's crazy.
00:59:00
Speaker
I'm uh I know we're excited for the Final Shape Destiny stream that'll be later this year.
Destiny and Ex Defiant Discussions
00:59:08
Speaker
So yeah my buddy and I were talking about it last night and it's like it's it's such a lull right now in Destiny and like yeah it's in a bad spot like that's my bread and butter game but like
00:59:20
Speaker
I even told my wife and my wife like when she when she came into a relationship with me, she came into a relationship with Destiny. She actually called it the mistress. That's what she calls it. But anyway, yeah, it's just it's weird to like not have a drive to play that game right now. It's really weird for me. Like I have it's definitely it's definitely in one of the worst states that it's been in in years.
00:59:46
Speaker
just from like, it seems like it's always going down for maintenance, possibly. And also, I don't think a lot of people care about this season at all. Yeah. After the after the engine came out and then all the videos that are coming up from different YouTubers being like. The microtransactions are awful. The stuff that's like, oh, all of a sudden, if you didn't buy the season pass this time around, you didn't get this.
01:00:14
Speaker
cutscene that explains things from Lightfall that you already paid for and stuff. It's just not in a good spot right now. Unless, like last year, I had a lot of friends when it came to PlayStation that haven't played it in three or four years. Me. You can come in now and just have a time.
01:00:33
Speaker
Yep. So, well, the reason I brought that up is because like you were saying with the final shape announcement, I'm sure that's just going to just stir up new excitement and get my blood going. So we'll see. We'll see. I'm excited for that. I'm also excited for the open beta just happened a couple of weeks ago. Ex Defiant from Ubisoft. It's basically the people that left Call of Duty to make a game to compete with Call of Duty.
01:01:02
Speaker
It's pretty fun. It's a pretty good time. We played it pretty hardcore for about two days. And it's very, very Call of Duty, but it's just different enough. Like the gunplay is very Call of Duty. Like grenades, guns, attachments, kind of the look of everything is very Call of Duty. But then you have like the abilities that change things up and the ability to vote on different map types and stuff like that.
01:01:29
Speaker
Maybe you hate payload so you can vote for control or whatever else, that kind of stuff. So I like the variety of stuff and hopefully they take a lot of, there wasn't, I mean, there's definitely issues in the beta, like there would be in any beta.
01:01:45
Speaker
Um, but I think the grant, like how the game feels and is now is in a really good spot. So hopefully they take the info they got from the beta and fix a couple of things. And then I think it's going to, it's going to be one of those games that like, we can make up tomorrow and then be like, it's out now kind of thing. Yeah. I, um, that's that you said mobile games. That's what it was DC dual force, which is basically DC spoke, uh, DC's Marvel snap.
DC Dual Force and Threads App
01:02:13
Speaker
Yeah, I got a beta code to that, like, yeah. A month ago, but having to use it and I don't think you can do it, use it now or something. No, no, no. Well, it says, yeah, that's what I was talking about. Last podcast was the one. Yeah, that's the one. That's the mobile one, which actually, I think it says maybe they've done a second beta or something. I don't know. I'm pretty sure it says beta July 5th, which, you know, just started. Yeah. All right. Well, any final thoughts before we end this pod out?
01:02:44
Speaker
Yeah, there's too many games coming out and I am staying faithful to Diablo for the next two months. Right. Join our clan, bro. I'll send you an e-vitation or a clan. What's the clan name? Uh, diamond dogs assemble. Okay. See my buddies, my buddies, uh, they, they sent me their clan, which is cat girl litter bucks.
01:03:09
Speaker
Wow, we got dogs versus cats going on here. I know, right? Seriously. Did you understand the Diamond Dogs reference? No, to be honest. It's from Ted Lasso. I've never seen Ted Lasso. You should watch it. It's great. Andrew hates soccer and he still liked it.
01:03:27
Speaker
Don't take that far like hate Emily. Emily. I don't hate soccer. I just like soccer more than baseball significantly more significantly more. I did not. Emily doesn't really like any sport except for basketball. And that's one of her favorite shows of all time, if not her favorite show of all time. OK. Oh, you know, that farmer is real good.
01:03:52
Speaker
He wants any time we go anywhere and there's like a piece of merch that has anything Ted Lesser related Like it's hard tonight to get her to buy it. She wants it interesting Yeah, I got nothing anybody else
01:04:10
Speaker
Great, you can follow us again on the Threads app because I feel like I have to say that now. I feel like the more I say Threads, the more people will listen to this podcast, you know? That's right. The internet's always listening, and so they'll pump us out if I keep saying Threads. Threads versus Twitter, Elon versus Zuckerberg in the Octagon, November 18th, pay-per-view.
01:04:36
Speaker
No, they're actually supposed to be fighting though. That's what we need to do a podcast on.
Musk vs. Zuckerberg Speculation
01:04:41
Speaker
Okay. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. All right. Before we end the podcast, who you got in a fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. Andrew, who wins? Zuckerberg. We're talking about an MMA fight here. Yeah. Zuckerberg. Matthew, who you got? Elon.
01:04:56
Speaker
He would, uh, he's got like Tesla limbs. I got sucker, but as well, I got sucker, sucker bird, sucker bird, better shape. I just feel like Elon is just the kind of person that would figure out a way to not lose. Cause he's not okay losing at anything.
01:05:09
Speaker
Hey, tech his body. Yeah, something like that. He's a lot larger of a man. He's a big guy. But I also don't ever remember seeing Elon Musk recently and him being in shape. Have you seen him shirtless? Yes, it's weird. Yeah. He's got like a cybernetic body, dude. Look at his chest. It looks weird, dude. Something's going on under there.
01:05:31
Speaker
Okay. If it turns out that half of his body is cybernetics, I changed my pick to Elon, but until that point. Yeah. His body looks unique. Unique. That's what we'll have to live stream. That's why we don't make every time. Welcome to log on games. Yeah.
