Introduction & Episode Overview

00:00:39
Speaker
Cheers, breathers. Welcome back to the Cuz Chat podcast. You're here once again with Black McGee and the Cuzzys. Another than George the ruthless deception. Welcome back to the body. And yes, second runner up for most appearances. Cave from Perth. Welcome back, Cuzzy.
00:01:05
Speaker
Cool, so we've got to put a little bit of a different podcast idea for you guys today. We're going to upload a video version of this as well. But I just wanted to kind of, yeah, let you know from the start that we're going to be playing a little bit of a bit of

Exploring Jackbox Party Pack

00:01:22
Speaker
a game. And this was suggested by George, the Jackbox Party Pack. We're going to give this a go, see how it goes. But why don't you tell us a little bit about it, George, what the sort of thing is?
00:01:37
Speaker
Yeah, pretty much there's a couple of different games on there, but you can just sort of log in from anywhere by putting in the room code and then you'll dump into that game. A couple of them are like ones like kind of like a pictionary type thing.
00:01:53
Speaker
but you have to do you'll get a caption that you got to draw and nobody knows who's drawing it is or whatever but you'll draw it you'll do them at the start and then the drawing will come up on the main screen and then everyone else is going to try and caption it so then you write your captions on and then after that you'll choose which caption you think is the correct was the original one and so yeah then if you guess it right you get
00:02:22
Speaker
points. If someone guesses your suggestion, you get points. All right, so yeah, someone guesses that. Well, we'll see the drawing techniques and stuff like that. How have you been anyway?

COVID Personal Experiences

00:02:35
Speaker
Because you kind of got through the other end of COVID recently. So how's that for you now? Oh, seem all right now. Seem to where I was at before I got COVID anyway.
00:02:52
Speaker
they sort of lasted a few days and that was about it. It was not really happening to have a runny nose or cough or nothing. Just a headache behind the eyes. So sore eyes to move my eyes. Yeah. Yeah. Like the headache, like, you know, I don't know if you've ever had it where you move your eyes and then you sort of get sore behind them. All right. Yeah.
00:03:19
Speaker
That's what I sort of noticed first. Probably the first symptoms. Fatigue and just our body aches. Day two or three. Day two would have been, well, day two after getting the positive test would have been the worst for the body aches.
00:03:36
Speaker
And yeah, just sort of take me late in the night, actually. I thought I was just getting a sore back because I had been laying on the couch all day, but it turned out it was just the COVID. The COVID. And you've been all right? Yeah, smashed back some broccas and some bloody... You've been all right to have seen that way? Some broccas and some bloody lemon and honey and yeah, been all good. Got back to work and I was pretty tired on the first few days, but
00:04:03
Speaker
All good. I saw you guys taking along anyway. And Kazi Cave, you woke up there, you were a bit quiet coming in there, but how you been? You've been managed to miss the old COVID? Oh, yeah, I'm fucking fortunate at the moment. It's happening all around me at the Mo, though, but I'm going to play indoor cricket with as he had it a couple of weeks ago. So it's getting closer and closer. Dodged it so far, so I would.
00:04:34
Speaker
Yeah, I've had a bit pretty good dodging episode as well. Both the boys had it and we pretty much just, well, no change really. They just stayed in the rooms the whole time. So, um, they just made a few little changes wearing masks and stuff around home for them and washing their own dishes and that sort of shit. So, but yeah, but it's been blowing up because she was saying before, George, that's something like 20,000 cases. Is that total or like, what's your kind of daily count?
00:05:01
Speaker
in New Zealand now. That was a seven-day average. That's a seven-day average. 19,000 or something in New Zealand. Yeah. So, yeah. No, she's blowing up. I see Keith's running a bit of the COVID hotel at his place now. Yeah, he is. Yeah. So, he's got Christian staying there at the moment and he's locked down or ISO. Yeah. Joey's got it as well, doesn't he? Is that right?
00:05:30
Speaker
I don't know about. Oh, yeah. No, that's right. He was in locked in his room as well. Yeah. Well, not a bad place to be. I said, buddy, night clubbing or something. Probably a night clubbing. Night clubbing at 13 years old. Why did you give us probably doing the same as well? Yeah.
00:06:01
Speaker
Um, not a bad place to be, uh, an ISO key has probably been, uh, yeah. Gracious host, making them mean feeds and stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Well, there's a different story, isn't it? Uh, the update with the old, uh, cause. Um, uh, the word is that he's, uh, living in the trailer park back in tote now.

Living Situations & COVID Coping

00:06:31
Speaker
Apparently that's the word on the street. Word on the street. Isomating in the old trailer wouldn't be the go. So he's been back in toke for what? Three weeks. Something like that. Just long enough to get COVID. Yeah. Yeah.
00:07:26
Speaker
Probably not the first thing he's caught.
00:07:30
Speaker
in the States, I'd imagine. Oh no, not the last thing he's going to catch either. It could be, it could be a case study. It's just going around collecting viruses and stuff and diseases.
00:07:52
Speaker
Well, that was the best. He's looking quite reflective.
00:08:13
Speaker
Kicking the back door. He's probably spotted some money. He goes, fuck, do I owe him money? Is that a new page or is that just an updated profile photo of the cars? Yeah, no idea either. Oh, healthy now though. Yeah, Chris.
00:08:44
Speaker
Yeah, yeah. Definitely COVID-19 wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be to get it. How were the boys? Pretty much the same, just sort of flu-like symptoms for about three days, and then they started coming right. Yeah. So being young, they pretty much just wrote it down quite easily. Yeah.
00:09:11
Speaker
I sort of feel good after having it now, because it is kind of liberating. You know, you don't have to worry about going around fucking worried about catching it, worried about ruining your fucking plans. Yeah, and now a lot of the masks are gone. After getting it, it's pretty good. Yeah. So you can get it twice, though, can't you?

COVID Immunity & Vaccine Discussion

00:09:34
Speaker
And the landfill eventually. But I guess it won't be as severe. That's highly, highly unlikely.
00:09:42
Speaker
Yeah, and it's pretty unlikely we get it within a year, twice, but it can happen. I mean, I'll just study that out of about 3 million people, maybe 47 or something tested positive twice, got it twice. Meduscule numbers, yeah. So pretty unlikely. Yeah.
00:10:10
Speaker
Yeah, because I had actually once I come right and come through my isolation, I was going in visiting people with COVID and everything. Well, you did have some form of immunity now for the vaccines and now having it.
00:10:33
Speaker
Yeah, interesting. Like I was double vexed. The one that gave it to me was triple vexed and he had it tested positive for longer than I did. But being like a couple of other mates can't really fuck all symptoms at all and tested negative quite quickly. And they were triple vexed, but yeah. Yeah, it doesn't stop you from getting it.
00:11:01
Speaker
Nah, nah, nah. But I would have thought that it would have definitely, you know, so like I would have thought the apprentice being chipping back sort of got it less than me, you know. Nah, it's still transmissible. At least, you know, that's what works that well.
00:11:25
Speaker
He must have had it for like the full 10 days or he was still testing positive on day 10 and I was stopped. I was negative blood, day 5 I think.
00:11:36
Speaker
So yeah, the boys are still positive after showing no more symptoms as well. So it was like day six, we tested them again and like they were fine. Like no symptoms at all, but still tested positive. So you're not sick anymore. So get back out there. Yeah. Well, that's pretty much what they reckon here too. I don't even have to test negative. I can do 10 days you're out. Yeah. Yeah. All good.
00:12:04
Speaker
Cool, well there's your COVID update, again, fucking ongoing, this fucking scenario. Okay, what have you been up to? You've been busy? Any news on your front? I've been busy. I mean, the missus has been away last weekend for the long weekend. Pretty good. Got a way down south. Got a dumpster. Nice. Nice. Hey, that's pretty good, bro. Have a little unit thing where I can get some of you. Well, that's pretty nice. It's four days away. Oh, yeah.
00:12:32
Speaker
That's cool. Take off. Yeah. Well, and I just got my car back the day before as well, which was, was a bonus. Wasn't expecting to have it back so quick. So it worked out really well for me. What was wrong with your car? Was it getting fixed? Yeah. So yeah, blew the head on it. Oh yeah. Last year and then a little bit of digging around.
00:13:00
Speaker
They actually replaced my motor for free. Holy moly. Really? So if you come to the party replace the fucking motor for free because the year that I got, they had like a recall on the motors because they were all doing it. Oh shit. So they tried to get me to pay for it first. Yeah. And then come out a little bit later and then yeah, they replaced it for free. So I've got a back the day before we went away on a holiday.
00:13:27
Speaker
Nice. Yeah. Well, they fucking try and charge you for it. Like, did you have to do the research and go, actually, look, can you see these are being recalled or? I think I'm getting a new battery on my truck. So I'm going to start. It cost me like 12 grand.
00:13:48
Speaker
And I'm the guy that replaced the battery. He goes, Oh, my mate works for Mitsubishi specialist. And then he was having got onto it. Yeah. Yeah. Right. So ended up getting a three, which is a big win. Maybe 12 grand because I don't really want to spend a lot of cash.
00:14:12
Speaker
And then, yeah, we drove down to Dunsbrush the next day and I mean, it must have started getting into the beers on the way down. Probably not a good idea. It's a three hour drive.
00:14:26
Speaker
I couldn't imagine how many beers I had in that time. Holy shit. A whole box. Yeah. 40 beers. That's how you know, that's how you know it's a good trip. Yeah. There's a few of them. I was like, Oh fuck, here we go. But I worked down the end. It was just a detour. It was an accident.
00:14:53
Speaker
Oh, I probably some drunk cunt. Fuck, I need to take a piss. Oh, shit. I said, um,
00:15:23
Speaker
Molenta. That's the one. Lock it off. Oh, you made it there safe and made it back safe. I imagine looking pretty refreshed. Nice down there. Real nice down there.
00:15:52
Speaker
I'll tell you one person that won't be getting their car back. And that's Mitch. I was hoping he would be available tonight. I think he's still quite distraught about it. Maybe it's still too soon to talk about that little episode. So yeah, what happened? I'll kind of summarize it heads.
00:16:22
Speaker
Apparently got his work stolen from his house and apparently lives in a gated community. So someone came into the gated community, broke into his house, got the keys and then stole his ute.
00:16:36
Speaker
And they found that about 20 k's away the next day or the next couple of days burnt out, burnt to a crisp. So yeah, he was not happy at all. Lost his drone I think was in there in the back of the ute.
00:16:58
Speaker
I think he was really good. He's there. Fijo lumps and cookie time cookies and that mum had just brought over for him. Um, all gone. So poor fellow. He's, uh, yeah, he's had a bit of a bad run lately. If I can falling through the best those roof, a really bad run. Yeah. Those years, those years are real. They actually happen.
00:17:26
Speaker
Oh. Gangs. Gang life. Gangs, brother. Gangs. Gang life. Hashtag Thug Life.
00:17:45
Speaker
Can you lay down with dogs? Yeah please. So yeah that's looking pretty wretched but yeah no he's got another little fucking run about you in the meantime.
00:18:03
Speaker
Yeah, I guess he's still like to hear his sort of side of it and kind of all the nitty gritty might get him on on a future episode then. Like to know how they got into the gated community though. Yeah, well, I guess it's only really gated for cars really, isn't it? So anyone just know the passcode. Yeah, it's like big data community. Yeah, it's just I think the passcode is just whatever year it is.
00:18:37
Speaker
But get in like if you got if you you're driving a car out, it's usually just a fucking push button, isn't it to get out? But yeah, I guess. Yeah. Oh, when Cals was living in a gated community, we knew the passcode. We wanted to do so.
00:18:55
Speaker
So anyone can just visit someone there once. Yeah. I'd like to think it'd be someone hiding in the bushes with binoculars and that, like looking at people pushing the numbers. Yeah.
00:19:11
Speaker
Yeah, just taking out the joint. Not to glorify thieving or anything like that, but... Well, whoever they are, whoever they are, I hope they're enjoying those Fijo lumps. They're actually pretty yum. I managed to eat two packets by myself almost. It's a good time.
00:19:39
Speaker
I was going to save them, but I was like, he's not coming down here. Smash them. Should we give this bit of a van? What do you want to play first? Drawful.
00:20:03
Speaker
Kia ora faunu! Black McGee here. Just wanted to let you know at this point we do a bit of a game so it's best as video content so if you want to jump over to the Facebook page you'll be able to find the video there. We will also host it on our Spotify channel. In the meantime stick around there's more stuff that we talk about and I hope you enjoy the rest of the episode. Catch you next time.
00:20:33
Speaker
We have a winner, winner, chicken dinner.
00:20:54
Speaker
Alright, thank you for playing everybody. I'm going to stop sharing the screen now and get rid of that.
00:21:06
Speaker
Cool. Yeah, that was cool. I think that worked. We'll work it out once this is all sort of done and dusted. But thanks for joining us, Mitch, on your drive home in AJ very briefly. We were hoping you would be a part of tonight's podcast just to give us a bit of context around your
00:21:28
Speaker
Your incident regarding your truck. Context. Yeah. Context. I think we can all relate, bro. It's like getting kicked in the nuts. Sucks. So, as quickly summarises is that you live in a gated community and then someone kind of broken to your house and stole your keys and then stole

Car Theft Incident & Aftermath

00:21:53
Speaker
your truck. Is that what happened?
00:21:56
Speaker
Yeah, yeah, so I'll tell a story. So Monday afternoon got home, bro, and I usually just have my Mondays to chill out. One of the other teachers for the real moldy course that I take wasn't able to fulfill his lesson. So he texted Marx if I could do it. I was, yeah, bro, so I went out to the U about five o'clock in the evening, grabbed my laptop out of it, locked it back up, then back inside.
00:22:26
Speaker
sat down at the table and started doing my multi-courses. So those sort of finished at around about nine thirty. Ten o'clock, you know, by the time I fucking have to decide to back my way up to bed, bro. So I left the keys on the dining room table, grabbed my laptop, went upstairs with the bed. One of the boys came and woke me up at about five thirty the next morning, said, oh, well, I'll see you later. Fucking where's your youth? What are you talking about? The kids you parked it out the front.
00:22:56
Speaker
There's one now for us gone. If I can quickly ran downstairs, bro, see for myself, yep, it was gone. Started panicking and shit, bro. So I jumped on the phone, police link to start putting the report in. So those of you outside Australia, police link is the number you call when you're not in danger, but there's something that you have to report. I've done that about half an hour into the phone call where I started getting missing calls from a no caller ID
00:23:26
Speaker
So about the third time they tried to ring, I said, oh fuck, I'll just put you on hold and I'll answer this call. And it was another police officer to say they're found by hutes, about 10 to 15 minutes away from where I live in a place called Canberra, underneath the train bridge, still on fire. Oh shit. Fuck, you're kidding me. So you know, bro, just instantly that sick feeling, bro.
00:23:54
Speaker
You know, now I know what's happened with the youth. It was pretty fucking ratchet. So they turned up for about 10 minutes after the phone call, the police turned up and they had what I just purchased some roof racks for my youth. Somehow they were in the tub and they somehow survived the fire. And they came for both back to me.
00:24:24
Speaker
I then had forensics in that, come around to the house pro and dust the place for prints. And yeah, so since then bro, I've just been filing out different insurance forms and trying to get some shit back. Like I had my drone and other bits and pieces in the youth when it went missing.
00:24:49
Speaker
It's a sick feeling, having some dirty dog come into your house, grab a key, fuck off with the EU. We're in a gated community, so to get the driver vehicle into the complex, you need to have a clicker to open the gate.
00:25:08
Speaker
The pedestrians have an access to the left-hand side so you can walk in and out of the complex. And to get out of the complex you just need a park over a sensor on the exit gate and that'll open. Wow. Yeah, so the pedestrian thing's not even pass-coded or anything? No worries. Walk in and out at your own leisure through the air stop assuming that comes through the air.
00:25:35
Speaker
They've probably spent, you know, fucking half an hour or so casing the entire complex. Yeah. Yeah. Well, they've now decided, fuck it. There's a you walk on the back door. Run slide is open. He's arrived on the kitchen table. Fuck. It's like that classic scene out of a movie when the cops have just turned up. Oh yeah. This is all that's left of your, uh, you know,
00:26:06
Speaker
They threw my log book out. So I still got the log book for the youth. That's always something. The coppers said that they found a business card of mine near the youth. I decided to ring that because I had to have a stack of brand new business cards for her in the consult.
00:26:29
Speaker
Oh, that's what they're in. Yes. Yes. So I'm most worried about, uh, I took my keys that have the sob to my motorbike on it. Oh, no. Pretty much got that. I'm the, I can chained up and locked up. They didn't get your key thing for the actual gate as well, did they?
00:26:54
Speaker
Yeah, they got that too, bruce. They all set the keys, but it's not going to get in and out of the house. There you go. There you go, bro. There's some bait. Yeah, that's what man, do I just push the bike out outside and wait in the bush for the brick? Yeah, yeah. My little rock stance in the end. You were enjoying the chance to cough on him, bro. Yeah.
00:27:27
Speaker
Some people pay good money for that. You weren't drunk and driving off in random directions again, were you?
00:27:44
Speaker
So, it's actually got me worried for what the future entails. So, the 7th of February, I fell through a roof. The 7th of March, my youth got stolen. That's so heavy on the 7th of April. Yeah, what's coming in the 7th of April? I might just lock myself in my room, bro.
00:28:09
Speaker
Maybe or you will fall through that roof. I don't know. I mean, I'll have to upload some pictures of a query by the end. She's not coming back after that. Yeah, send me a photo. I'll use it as a podcast screenshot thumbnail thingy.
00:28:34
Speaker
Absolutely fucked. And then I had those poppers around the house too. And there was an incident the day before, where a bloke had tried to jump off one of the main bridges in Rockhampton. And we all thought that he was on the run because one of the boys seen it happen. And the policeman turns around and says to me, I'll tell you the truth. And he goes, he was actually called in. He was walking up and down the bridge with a rope.
00:29:04
Speaker
And someone had called it in when the police were on their way. He just went with it. Put the fucking.
00:29:13
Speaker
broke around his neck and jumped off the bridge. It wasn't a very good rope because the cop said it just snapped and he plunged into the water. And then they just waited for him to swim up to the bank and they picked him up and took him to the hospital. And the policeman said to me, you know, it must be pretty bad to know to get to that point in the mental state where you're willing to take your own life. And
00:29:39
Speaker
As quickly as I could, I turned around and said to him, yeah, you know, Maki probably had a juke stolen and burned out. Oh, no. And two of them almost laughing on the floor, bro. They're like, oh, I'll leave you back in. Making light of the situation. Oh, fucking hell. You know, I'm fucking pretty gay. Oh, you're getting close to Rocky's losing connection.
00:30:09
Speaker
No, you're still there. A company you, so it's going to get replaced. Found out yesterday that my drone and my computer and whatnot are all going to get replaced

Insurance Resolution & New Beginnings

00:30:21
Speaker
too. Oh, nice. I'm actually, I actually rang up one of my pros who just purchased a drone. He said, oh, he sent me your receipt. The drone I purchased was around about $700.
00:30:36
Speaker
The drone that I'm getting is about two and a half grand. No, I still have that follow feature then there, bro. Oh, yeah. Oh, nice. Nice. Follow me and fly past. Excellent. The old eardog. Pretty sweet. Oh, we might have lost him again. We lost him. Well, there you go. There's the true story.
00:31:06
Speaker
The whole truth, nothing but the truth, according to Mitch. Thanks for joining Mitch here, you're breaking up there unless you can still hear us.
00:31:28
Speaker
No, all good. We're about to sort of wrap it up anyway. Just wanted to give you the chance to sort of, yeah, let us know what's happened and get an update. So, cool. Yeah, we'll leave it there and come back next time and hopefully get a few more of the cousins on. But anyone else want to say anything before we sign off today?
00:31:49
Speaker
Yeah, we're all good, I'm all good. Cool. Awesome. Alright, thanks for bringing us that game to it. I think I'm going to have a bit of fun with the fans. Yeah, it should be awesome. Because you know, that's what it's all about, eh bro? Fuckin' eh, bro. Fuckin' eh, bro. Fuckin' eh. Fuckin' eh. Alright, Chirikazis, have a good one. See you.
