What is up, Foley fam?

Missing All-In Due to Road Trip

00:00:24
Speaker
We are back after a bit of a brief hiatus, man. It's been just a whirlwind couple of weeks for us. We had every intention of recording an all-in preview show last week, and there just were not enough hours in the days, man. We got squeezed out. But we're back,

Thanks to Zach Hertzler & Child's Enjoyment

00:00:40
Speaker
and hopefully better than ever, gonna be talking Bash in Berlin and No Mercy, and just catching up on a little bit of everything else happening in the wrestling world, the Sheena.
00:00:51
Speaker
How are you doing? I'm doing good. Like you said, we've just been super busy. We just got back from a road trip from Texas. So that was, you know, we missed all in. We didn't even get to watch it. We were on the road driving back from Texas. We were at Legoland like as Brian, yeah, Brian Danielson was winning the AW Championship.
00:01:10
Speaker
Yeah, so we were really bummed. Thankfully, our guy Zach Hertzler allowed us to use his login to get Brett the baby face to get able to watch all in. So I think he's watched it twice all the way through. It's been on a running loop in my home office for all week. So I've kind of caught the entire show in bits and pieces. Yes. Looked awesome, man, from the little bits of scenes. I'm definitely going to sit down with a nice cold beverage and watch the whole show at some point here soon.
00:01:37
Speaker
Shout out to Zach for that, that was clutch. Brett was, he's been enthralled and asking me all the questions about AEW all in.

Farming Mishap with Goats

00:01:45
Speaker
Shane, tell us what's new on the farm.
00:01:47
Speaker
Oh man, well, as of last night, I got to do something that I've never done before. I've been a goat farmer for over two years now, and I've never had a sick goat. And yesterday I was out in the garden, out doing some landscaping work, pulling weeds and everything. And I just, as I always do, I threw everything over the goat fence and the chicken fence. It's a treat for the animals. Yeah, it's a treat. They love to get the... Vegetable scraps. The weeds and the veggie scraps and the garden scraps and everything, and they eat them.
00:02:16
Speaker
Never had an issue. Well, yesterday I cut some things that were not good for the goats that were toxic that I wasn't even thinking about. It was a boxwood bush. Threw it over. It made two of my goats really sick and they started throwing up. So I had to go to my other farmer friend's house and get some activated charcoal.
00:02:33
Speaker
And I had to drench them, which is basically like syringing activated charcoal down a goat's throat. So you can imagine there's this goat with like puke and vomit and cut everywhere. And I'm like having to hold its mouth open and you know, shove activated charcoal down there. But this morning they were all fine. Everything was good. Everybody's healthy and feeling good. So I feel really good about my goat doctor skills last night.
00:02:57
Speaker
And they had seemed like they had shook it off a little bit just before, you know, even after the initial vomiting, but we still want to be, you know, better safe. Yeah, I think, well, I mean, they were still sick last night when I put them up because they wouldn't even eat like their alfalfa pellets. But I think, you know, I raise my goats in a pretty holistic manner. I don't use a lot of, you know, super duper health.
00:03:15
Speaker
Yeah, super healthy. And so I think, you know, when you raise your goats or your livestock like that, they respond to, you know, more holistic remedies pretty easily. Whereas like, if you're using a more conventional method, sometimes you have to use stronger stuff for for your goats. So we've always had really healthy animals. And, you know, that's I think is a shout out to their immune system to they're able to shake it off. But goats are pretty
00:03:36
Speaker
Um, as, as rough and tumble as you think goats are like, you know, they can fall over dead. I mean, they eat something, it poisons them and they can die within like 24 hours. So it is serious when something like that happens, you do have to like take action. So. Anywho, that was a, that was an adventure last night. I was out there in the dark and the goat barn drenching the goats.

Visit to Bucky's

00:03:56
Speaker
We mentioned we took a little family road trip down to the Dallas, Fort Worth area over the weekend. She and I finally got to visit Gloria's Bucky's, not once, but twice to give you a review of a Bucky's. Well, Bucky's the store. It was really cool. It was like Stockdale's on Beaver Crack. It had all your typical country, southern
00:04:21
Speaker
store merch and then it had like total Bucky side which was like the biggest gas station situation you've ever seen. Super clean, super organized. We all got to go in there and use the bathroom and check out how clean the bathrooms were so that was a treat. And then you know we got a few of our favorite Bucky streets. We got the sandwiches and
00:04:41
Speaker
Oh, we tried something new. We got pickled quail eggs. Delicious. They are delicious because pickled eggs are good. But you know, a regular sized egg, I mean, it takes two or three bites to get through a, you know, a regular boiled egg. Whereas like these pickled quail eggs are like the perfect little poppable bite and they had jalapenos in the brine. Yeah, this pickled jalapeno. I know most time like pickled eggs are just like super vinegary, but these are more of like a spicy tang. Nice little treat.
00:05:07
Speaker
It was good. Yeah, I kept the brine. Like we still have, like we finished one jar and then we have another jar that's in the fridge right now. So I'm actually gonna put some of our eggs in that same brine. But yeah, that was freaking delicious. I do got beef with the folks at Bucky's. You can no longer go to the kiosk and order a side order of fries, which I always loved Bucky's fries. Like that was low key one of the things I most look forward to getting a barbecue sandwich and chasing it with those fresh hot cooked fries. But the beaver chips they have are pretty dang good also. So they're a nice substitute.
00:05:37
Speaker
Yep, I didn't I was planning on getting some jerky and then I've like lost my appetite for it when I saw that it was $30 a freaking pound dude, like what? Yeah, I think the move is to get the fresh stand the samples of the fresh stuff because they'll cut you off a little little half inch piece So try some of those but then buy the bag I just I'm sure it's better when it's from the counter But it's not gonna be enough to justify the price compared to getting the prepack
00:06:01
Speaker
Yeah, you guys know me. I spend money on food. I have no quams about buying high quality meat and food for my family. But yeah, $30 a pound for Bucky's beef jerky was just like, I just couldn't stomach it, dude. Yeah, think about beef jerky. I do love good beef jerky, but I feel like the gap between the best piece of beef jerky I ever had and the worst piece of beef jerky I ever had is not that far. Yeah, it's pretty marginal. Yeah.
00:06:30
Speaker
But it did live up to the hype scene, or is Bucky's overhyped? No, I thought it was an experience. I mean, it's definitely something... I feel like if you had one in your town, you would just kind of feel like, okay, yeah, it's a cool little stop. But I think on a road trip and you see the Bucky's and they make sure that you're going to see every sign, every 10 miles. So the one we went to is in Roy City, Texas, and you start seeing signs about 300 miles of change away. As you get closer, the billboards get more frequent.
00:06:56
Speaker
Dude, I think they... Shout out to them, dude. The store is always super clean. The shelves are immaculate, right? It's not a hot mess. You're not seeing random shit around there. The bathrooms are definitely worth holding it for. And the food is legitimately good. It's like quality food.
00:07:12
Speaker
Yeah, the sandwiches, the sandwiches are always bomb. I mean, Seth has literally, you know, and I think that was one thing that like, I was, I was excited to go, but Seth goes to Texas so frequently, and he usually stops at that. Bucky's on his way to Texas. And he always brings us back treats. So I mean, he's brought me back sandwiches and you know, Bucky's treats and stuff before. So it wasn't like my first time having Bucky's food.
00:07:32
Speaker
But first time getting the full retail experience and just seeing how, I mean, if it can be, if it can be made, they can put a Bucky's logo on it. Like it's, it's wild. Yeah. If you're on, if you're on an extended road trip, I would say it's definitely worth, you know, it's worth holding it for for sure. And you know, if you got, I mean, for the most part, they're going to be right on your ride on the interstate. But if there's, you know, it's, I'd say it's worth going about, you know, 20, 25 minutes out of the way. Cause it's just, it's so refreshing, dude.
00:07:58
Speaker
It is. I'm not a huge soda drinker, but they had this Bucky's brand. They got a few different flavors of soda on top. Yeah. They had a vanilla soda that was made with cane sugar. Oh my gosh. It is so good. It was freaking delicious. So if you stop, definitely hit up the vanilla soda. Yeah. I like to go with the regular Bucky's Cola. Yeah. It's got cane sugar too though. I think all the Bucky's ones use cane sugar. Yeah. They got like blue cream, they got pineapple soda, a bunch of different stuff.
00:08:25

the next season. Yeah, definitely. It's well worth it. A lot of hot figures hitting over the summer too, so we can help you out finding those. Shane, you ready to talk wrestling? Of course. So we definitely got to start the week on a bit of a down note.

Remembering Psycho Sid

00:09:08
Speaker
Psychos. Sorry, I hit the table. Sorry. So you just hit the screeching music on the table, our mic's sitting on. My foot was going to sleep. I had to readjust.
00:09:17
Speaker
Psycho Sid passed away earlier this week man super bummer. He had quietly been battling cancer only 63 years old Sid was just one of a kind man go back and watch some 96 97 Sid stuff dude is got charisma through the roof always looked like a million bucks and the really unique thing about Sid is
00:09:37
Speaker
is that he never stayed anywhere too long. He was one of the last cowboys of the territory area. He'd come in and be somewhere for six to 15 months, and then just like that, he's gone, and then he'd pop up somewhere else a year later. Survivor Series 96 was obviously his crowning achievement, beating Shawn Michaels for the World Championship in Madison Square Garden, and he was a heel, but the fans were behind him being in New York.
00:10:05
Speaker
I don't know. I always love Sid. You got any thoughts on Sid? Well, I just thought it was, I don't know. I don't want to say cool, but it was very interesting to me just to see how many people had like really fond memories or were really like huge Sid fans, right? Like it's just, I mean, I feel like he's somebody that gets talked about a lot, but it's not like somebody you're like, oh yeah, Psycho Sid is my all time favorite wrestler. But when you saw all the people just like pouring out and a lot of the people in the Foley fam were talking about their favorite Sid memories and I just thought it was cool to see.
00:10:32
Speaker
You know how many people were really fond of this guy did great a great figure Legacy also, man He's oh he had the awesome WCW glue and the singlet had a great has bro a Sid justice and those blue trunks Awesome Jack's bone cruncher some really cool Mattel elite figures like there's some really good Sid stuff out there as well
00:10:55
Speaker
if you want to go and get a figure to, you know, in tribute. And there's, you know, there's a new Sid coming up, they're re-releasing him. He's got an upcoming, you know, it's basically a redo of that elite, I want to say it was 39 figure that he had. So yeah, shout out to Sid, Swigga Beer. I'm actually drinking, you know, Jameson and Ginger Ale tonight. So Swigga Jameson and Ginger Ale for Sid. And we'll move on and talk some wrestling this weekend.
00:11:17
Speaker
All right. Where do you want to start? We'll peek behind the curtain. I was, I was giving Sheena the holdup. We were going to do a little like three, four second, you know, moment of silence real quick, a little tactical pause in honor of Sid, but I guess, fuck it, dude. She just said, no, it's time to talk.
00:11:36
Speaker
I mean, I didn't want there to be an awkward. Sorry, I thought we did a really poignant job kind of summing up his career and how cool he was. We got to talk about this tag match. No, if you say take a.
00:11:52
Speaker
Take a moment. Let's take a moment of silence for said like cool. Like I'm totally trying to do without saying it I was trying to just let it let it happen You said take a swig and I feel like the take the take a swig or pour some out I feel like that's the that's the closing statement for any time you're eulogizing someone right it respectfully so sorry, sorry said I did not mean to I
00:12:11
Speaker
disrespect your moment of silence. You guys know, dude, me and Sheena from the start, we've always been live to tape on this thing. Every once in a blue moon, something will happen that is either so over the top or it's just not going to be good audio that we end up doing editing, but it's very, very rare we edited. For the most part, whatever. It's a one-hitter-quitter. We hit, like I said, it's live to tape, man. WCW used to be back in the day.
00:12:35
Speaker
Um, before we get into this weekend real quick, like we mentioned at the top, haven't had a chance to check out, um, all of all in just because like I said, it was on a family vacation with a seven year old and a four year old. And then we'd been, you know, doing football all this week. Um,
00:12:51
Speaker
What do you think just overall about Brian Danielson getting the AEW Championship? Oh, I'm so happy. I'm glad that he is an AEW Champion. I feel like he's going to have an awesome next few months before ultimately, you know, kind of
00:13:07
Speaker
riding off into the sunset, maybe becoming part-time status. But you guys know, if you've been listening to this show for any period of time, that I'm a huge Brian Danielson, Daniel Bryan fan. I love the moment. Then we have to see Brie Bella on TV with Birdie and Buddy. It was heartfelt and I loved it.
00:13:27
Speaker
Yeah, and he already you know, he came out and laid down the gauntlet on Wednesday night said basically when he loses the championship His career is going to be over which is cool that ad stakes, you know I was I was hoping they would do something like that with sting when he announced that his last match was coming up I hope we'd see something like, you know WWE did this just perfectly back in the day with Ric Flair, right? I'll go leading into WrestleMania 24 against Shawn Michaels. They said, you know
00:13:52
Speaker
the next match he loses will be his last match, which just adds so much built-in stakes every time you get in the ring. And I was thinking Sting would do that to lead up to a match with MJF for the belt. But this is the opposite way. Bryan Danielson, he's got the belt as he lays down this claim. And all signs point to Russell Dream in October being his last actual match, at least as a full-time competitor. It's gonna be in his home state. So Washington, right? Yeah. So I think we're gonna see a lot of fun matches on the way. Jack Perry already came out and challenged them. It looks like that's gonna be the match
00:14:21
Speaker
for all out. I can't remember if it's a hundred percent locked in yet, but that definitely looks like what we're going to get. Uh, what do you think of Jack Perry being his first challenger? I think it's cool. I think, um, you know, unfortunately I don't think there's any way that Jack Perry is the guy to the throne, uh, Brian Danielson, but I mean, I think it's going to be an awesome match.
00:14:39
Speaker
Yeah, it'll be fun and yeah, and Jack Perry just needs to put on a good showing and I think it'll be a win for him overall. Yeah, it'll give him a good long like statement match, right? I feel like he's going to have like this. This will be even if he even in defeat. I feel like this can legitimize him even more right and just give him give him the opportunity to shine for whatever he does going forward.
00:14:58
Speaker
One other note from all in, we saw Ricochet make his much expected debut in AEW. He had the match with Kyle Fletcher on Wednesday night, really entertaining. Will Ospreay came out to confront him afterwards or welcome him to AEW before getting jumped by Pac. What is your expectations, like the trajectory you think Ricochet is gonna go on in AEW? What's his ceiling?
00:15:25
Speaker
I don't know. I mean, I really don't see Ricochet as like world title potential for AW. And I hate that because I love Ricochet. I mean, he's Kentucky boy. I just feel like Ricochet is an upper mid card guy. And I think that that's okay. We said it on this show countless times. I feel like there's
00:15:46
Speaker
There's a place for everyone and there's a ceiling for everyone and Ricochet is an incredible talent and incredible wrestler. He's put on some of the best matches in the world. But as far as just like, as far as his, yeah, just charisma and his, you know, his jouge, it's just, it's upper mid card, you know? Yeah, I agree. I see him, I see him maybe going a notch, maybe a notch and a half above where he kind of leveled out at.
00:16:11
Speaker
and WWE, which like I said, he won the Intercontinental Champion, you know, he was the Intercontinental Champion when Gunther won it, man. That's what kicked off the record-breaking round. He held the US Championship, won the Speed Championship, which Speed is really cool. I know people hate on it because it's on Twitter only. Speed is actually a really, really cool concept. Like if you haven't been watching those Speed matches on Twitter, definitely check them out. It's pretty neat.
00:16:32
Speaker
But yeah, I'm right there with you, you know, he could pop down a ring of honor. I could totally see him being a ring of honor champ. You know, eventually when he comes back to Debbie to be if he has a run in NXT, he could be NXT champion. But yeah, he's just he's the charisma is just not there for him to be the top guy. I see I do think they're, you know, him and Osprey.
00:16:49
Speaker
Now that they both leveled up so much from when they had those really kind of revolutionary matches back in 2016, 2017, I think that's going to be a big money main event. It doesn't even got to be for the belt. I think they could main event an AEW pay-per-view with those two for the international championship. And you probably go ahead and pencil them in for match of the year, right? I think that will probably be the peak for him. I don't know if they rush to that or if they slow play it.
00:17:15
Speaker
I think he'll have a world title match. I just don't think he'll win the world title match. I think you're right. I think he could lose some main events for the world championship. Maybe he does sneak in and get some random short reign, but I don't know. I don't really see that. Ultimately, I think he's going to be slightly better than he did in WWE. I think it's grossly overstated that WWE didn't use him well. Dude's consistently been on TV for the
00:17:41
Speaker
really the last, you know, six years since he's been there. Yeah. WWE fans love to say that somebody was underutilized or whatever. Anybody that doesn't stand tall as the copyright stuff's going on WrestleMania is underused in WWE pretty much. I mean, if you're getting TV time, then you're, I mean, there's people back there that are catering that you never see, right? So if you're getting any amount of time on television, then they have, they're doing something for you. Jericho broke it down, dude. There's basically
00:18:07
Speaker
15 segments on Raw and 10 segments on SmackDown, and that's such precious, precious real estate,

Bash at Berlin Preview

00:18:15
Speaker
man. If you're getting one of those segments, then they value you.
00:18:19
Speaker
All right, let's get to, uh, to bash at Berlin. You got the, uh, the card pulled up. Yep. Looks like we got a nice clean five matches. It's going to be afternoon. Also starting at noon and an afternoon pay-per-view, which I love. Um, so yeah, unless something gets added, you know, it's Thursday night as we're recording this. So unless something gets added, uh, tomorrow on smack down, it looks like, uh, we got just
00:18:40
Speaker
five matches on this one. Five has kind of been the standard for the B show. So yeah, I think that we're definitely rolling with that. It's going to be a nice Saturday because Brett's having a sleepover for his late birthday celebration. I think his friend should be getting here right after the show. You never know. We might create a new wrestling fan, man. You know what I mean? Introduce our little buddy Jamison to some wrestling action. But women's tag match. I'm not sure who wins this match even matters.
00:19:07
Speaker
Bianca Belair and Jay, they really have not even planted the slightest seed yet. Do you think we start to see the first cracks in the foundation of the mutants or whatever we're calling this team, the Wonder Women?
00:19:20
Speaker
Um, for me, no, I don't think, I don't think, uh, we see the cracks here. We still got a lot of time to WrestleMania. This is a WrestleMania caliber match. And so it could be WrestleMania without even having a belt. Yeah. I think my prediction is, is that they beat the unholy union and then they go on a nice little, you know, tag team tear and you know, just really, really solidify this tag team business and then have, then the cracks start to form maybe around like survivor series, right?
00:19:48
Speaker
which will lead us into, or maybe even Royal Rumble and lead to Jade versus Bianca at WrestleMania. I hate to say this about any title because you guys know I'm the king of kayfabe, but these belts are so utterly meaningless that really anything can happen on this. I'm kind of with you. This could be just a straight up match just to get some additional women on the card and we see Bianca and Jade go over uneventfully.
00:20:16
Speaker
It could plant the seeds. I mean, yeah, I mean we could totally I can't I I can't really make my mind up about why this the fact that this show is happening on the pay-per-view Makes me think that that's what's kind of got my Spidey sense tingling that maybe we're gonna see something happen with Bianca and Jade Maybe not all to go all the way with it, but it to at least Started start to sprinkle a little dust on there. I think so I mean maybe but I think I think maybe it's just to get them the belts back dude
00:20:39
Speaker
because they need to be carrying gold, right? Like for this to be, like they need to have a nice little title reign for the breakup to feel like, oh damn, you know? An unholy union. They were, you know, they're a cool team, but yeah. It was more of a home town. If they didn't have the home field advantage going for them, they would not have won that match. 1000%.
00:20:57
Speaker
All right, let's go. We'll stick with our other tag match. We got the Terror Twins going against Judgment Day. What do you think about the Terror Twins is the name for Damien Priest and Reeve? I don't hate it. I don't hate it. I think it's cool. I don't know how other people are feeling about this match, but I'm really excited for this. I think it's going to be so much fun. It's going to be sports entertaining 100%. You're probably going to get to see the rest of the Judgment Day.
00:21:20
Speaker
This whole story, it's all people that you love, right? You either love or you love to hate. They're always fun with whatever they're doing. I expect to see Finn Balor come in and rear his evil head to possibly turn the tides. Speaking of tides, I think we're going to get a riptide on Dirty Dom. I think that would be dope. Dude, to me,
00:21:40
Speaker
You mentioned about how much time we got left. If they can milk it out, man, I really think Rhea Ripley vs. Dom is a money match for WrestleMania. I think that's going to happen, dude. My Spidey senses are saying that the Terror Twins actually lose this match.
00:21:57
Speaker
I think so too. They've been kicking the judgment days ass. Yeah. So I think they're going to lose this match, which is ultimately going to split them off to be able to do priest and Dom or, you know, priest and fan, whichever one, whichever way they go. And then you got Rhea and Liv that you can kind of milk out for the rest of the fall. Right. And then, then I think it ultimately comes back around to Rhea versus Dom for
00:22:19
Speaker
for WrestleMania. We'll go to our two championship matches next just because for both of these, like I feel like these are kind of just matches just to be there. I don't really see a ton of storyline happen on any of these. These are, I mean, Randy Orton versus Goonthere is going to be money. Like it was a really cool match at King of the Ring. And Kevin Owens and Cody are going to be cool also, but I see both of these as almost like glorified house show matches.
00:22:43
Speaker
Yeah, but I think, I mean, again, my gut is telling me that I don't think, or I guess my head is telling me that Gunther would not lose this match this early. But again, this is Randy Orton we're talking about here. And they went through the trouble to spell out what happens if Orton wins, dude. Yes. They went through the fact that they went through the trouble to make it painstakingly clear that what's gonna happen with the belts if he wins.
00:23:10
Speaker
You know, Triple H is so smart. He knows that's like little cheese for us to kind of eat up and, you know, just make more doubtful. But I don't know. I mean, it would be cool even if...
00:23:19
Speaker
It'd be cool to see Gunther, you know, even if he loses, he gets it back in a month because it feels like he's going to have a long reign, right? Because that's what we saw him do with the Intercontinental belt, basically having it for, you know, over a year and a half. Um, so you, you expect to see a long run with this world championship, but you know, I'm all about sprinkling in some shorter runs, dude. Yeah, I, I agree with you. I do think that, you know, they're,
00:23:40
Speaker
there could be a longer run just because they want to make the king of the ring thing feel like it actually means something right like you know like they don't want to just feel like all the goon through one king of the ring got a shot at summer slam and then you know they want to be like a money in the bank chat where right yeah so i think you know maybe they'll let him hang on to it longer but
00:23:58
Speaker
I was thinking I got my wires crossed and I thought for some reason that Randy Orton already had 15 title wins. So he's at 14. So I was like, Oh man, I was like, if he gets this title win, then it could be him and Cena later on in the year, you know, to fight for like, who's going to beat Ric Flair's record. You know what I mean? So, so my dream scenario has always been
00:24:20
Speaker
And I actually think this could no joke be a pretty badass WrestleMania main event if they wanted to get to it Randy somehow gets two more reigns and loses between now and WrestleMania So you have Randy and John Cena both set in a 16 title reigns What if they're in a triple threat match with Cody night one of mania? So you got Cody in there, you know the American Nightmare had the belt for a year
00:24:42
Speaker
and not one, but two people that would break Ric Flair's record if they win. I think that'd be pretty... Excuse me. I think that'd be a pretty badass match. I think that would be a badass match. I feel like that has the potential to take some stank off of Cody, though. You know what I mean? And I feel like they're going to protect Cody at all costs, right? Yeah, because people would probably be cheering to see that record. Yes, exactly. They're going to be cheering for Cena or cheering for Orton, and not necessarily because they want to cheer against Cody, but it's just...
00:25:11
Speaker
You want to see that record break. I mean, to me, I feel like Cody's almost haterproof. I think he's like, he's at this point, I think he's getting cheered no matter what he does. I actually think Cody and Cena is definitely like, if you're laying out betting odds or potential mania, you know, main events, I think Cody and Cena is definitely on the table. Yeah, I could see it being on the table. I still feel like Cody's got unfinished business with the bloodline and the rock and everything too, that it's more pressing, right?
00:25:36
Speaker
See, I feel like Cody and Rock, I think that's happening at Rumble, man, or if not Survivor Series. I think we're getting that out of the way. Clock's ticking on it. Not to totally just digress away from Bashard Berlin and go to WrestleMania talk, but hey, it's what we do. Cody and Rock is a money match. Roman and Rock's obviously a money match. If you only got one, you got to do Roman and Rock because the clock's ticking on that, dude.
00:25:59
Speaker
If they're still going to do Cody and Rock, I think that happens at elimination chamber or the Royal Rumble or something. I think as much as that feels like it's got to happen at Mania, I feel like you got to burn that one to get to whatever Roman and Rock is going to be, whether it's going to be for the belt or not for the belt. Roman and Rock is the one that has to happen. Same. In so many ways, it's what Roman's entire career has been building to. And you just never know, dude. Rock, obviously, he's in unbelievable condition, not even just for his age, for anybody.
00:26:28
Speaker
The father you know father time is undefeated man, so I don't know if I'm putting money on it right now I say Roman and rock is the match we get at mania I think Roman and rock is the match we get at mania I think you're spot-on with that. They're just gonna do it at you know rumble it makes it makes more sense I think rock is gonna be the one to take that belt from Cody somehow and then Roman gets to be the you know the yeah
00:26:49
Speaker
Oh, yeah, that would be cool. Can you imagine that couple of months between rumble and mania with the rock freaking carrying the belt dude? That would just be chaos dude. Yeah, we have like I said I still at some point that cards gonna fall that it becomes out the rock has been the one pull the strings behind the whole New bloodline, you know, you still got always brought it up. Remember whenever solo came out the kayfabe explanation was that he was sent by the elders dude The rock was the elder dude. He called solo said they go see what your crazy-ass cousins are up to. Yeah
00:27:19
Speaker
Yeah. So going back to Bashi Berlin, out of Randy Orton and Kevin Owens, who do you think has the better chance of walking away with the belt pulling off the upset? Randy definitely has the- Agreed. Yeah. I feel like KOs. I wouldn't say it's straight up 0.0 because he is Kevin Owens, dude. We know his contract's coming up.
00:27:42
Speaker
It wouldn't kill WIB. I think a shock title change would be pretty cool, man. I think that's something that could get a little spike in this.
00:27:50
Speaker
this little bit of late summer lull that we're in, you know, kind of storyline wise. So I wouldn't be mad at it. But I think whatever the smallest fraction of a decimal of a number above 0.0 is, I think that's what Kevin Owens shot is to win. So it's better than zero, but by the absolute smallest fraction possible. Yeah, I mean, you know, it feels like we're heading toward a Kevin Owens
00:28:14
Speaker
He'll turn right like we're going back to prize fighter Kevin Owens And I feel like a win isn't going to ignite that he needs a loss to help kind of like be the catalyst for that You know that term so we saw the and we saw the montage they put together of you know Kevin Owens turning on people I know dude like what like
00:28:33
Speaker
Why Cody would choose him to be his friend? Why anybody would choose Cody or Kevin Owens to be your friend? Randy Orton, too. That's his two best buddies of Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. The two most unreliable friends in WWE, 100%. If they're celebrating to go after a hard fought match, I think All Lives are going to be on KO for that territory.
00:28:54
Speaker
Same thing with Randy. It feels like Randy's about to turn on this guy too, dude. I'm surprised that they've been patient enough to avoid pulling the trigger on Randy Orton and Cody for this long because there's so much storyline baked into that. All right, let's go to what I think is probably, I don't know, I think it's going to be between this and Gunther and Randy Orton for their true main event of this show, CM Punk.
00:29:15
Speaker
and Drew McIntyre in the strap match. I haven't seen it spelled out explicitly by WWE. They mentioned a little bit about it on commentary, but it's never on like www.com. I checked this afternoon. It was still a little vague. If this is going to be a regular like pin and tap out match where the guys just happen to be strapped together, or if it's going to be the old school strap match where you got to touch all four corners. Everything I've heard.
00:29:41
Speaker
I was listening to a few podcasts this week and everything I heard said it's the Four Corners match. That'd be cool. I'd prefer that just because it's something different. I don't think so, dude.
00:29:53
Speaker
If it was just a regular strap match between two guys, but I feel like this is to the point where it's like a blood feud where it's like that feels a little hokey, right? Like to touch the rings, right? Like I feel like, I mean, cause we're ultimately, in my opinion, punk is going to win this and then we're going to get a blow off at maybe hell in the cellar or bad blood. Yeah. So I feel like we're having, are we having hell in the cell in October? Bad blood. We're doing, we're going back to bed. That's in September.
00:30:17
Speaker
Yeah, Hell in the Cell is done as a pay-per-view. Since Triple H took over, we haven't done Hell in the Cell. What's the October pay-per-view? We got an October pay-per-view? We don't know yet. Last year they did. I think there may be a Saudi show. That makes sense. It'll be late October, early November. Yeah, so Bad Blood. We're going to get some sort of absolute freakin' gimmick match at Bad Blood where it all pays off. I feel like the strap match is cool. I wish it was just a regular submission or tap out.
00:30:46
Speaker
I just feel like this is, or a pin, whereas like the touch in the four corners is kind of like meh. I mean, there's a lot of times where that style of match ends up falling flat. Uh, so bad blood is going to be in October, October 5th. So it'll be early October. Um, but, and then crown jewel that we mentioned just since we're already on it, it's going to be November 2nd. Do we not have a, we don't have a September pay-per-view? Um, we got NXT, no mercy. Okay. Oh yeah. Okay. I guess that, yeah.
00:31:17
Speaker
But so I was gonna say so yeah those matches tend to end up falling flat because the thing about it is there's only so many So many finishes you can do right you can have the baby face just beef them up Put them on their back and walk around and hit all four corners or kind of struggle to hit four corners or you can have it where Yeah, as the baby face is hitting them the heel sitting them right behind and then the last second You know the heel you know hits them and hits them in the nuts and hits the floor
00:31:41
Speaker
Yeah, or they like stumble into the corner and like, you know accidentally hit the corner. Yeah, they spin around Yeah, there's really only so much you can do that being said sting invader from Super Bowl Super Bowl It was their same same style match and that's one of my all-time favorites See one of the best sting matches ever one of the best Vader matches ever one of the best WCW matches ever
00:32:02
Speaker
True, but I mean, that's Sting and Vader. This is the Punk and Drew McIntyre, dude. So I'm just saying, I don't expect this to be as good as that, but that's why I've always had a soft spot for these matches, even though the gimmick does tend to end up on the fly. Yeah, I mean, dude, Punk and Drew have given me no reason to believe that this match isn't going to be an absolute banger.
00:32:22
Speaker
I don't know, man. I feel like just this continuation with Drew, every match that we have, and I'm like, oh, man, we're inching closer to injury. We're inching closer to injury. This is going to be a violent one. This is going to be a violent match, yeah. So I'm just getting a little worried for punk. They need to be working like the blindfold match, like Jake Robertson, the model, Rick Martell, at WrestleMania 7, where they just kind of dance around each other for five minutes without actually touching each other. Without touching each other. Yeah. What's your overall hype level for Bastion Berlin?
00:32:51
Speaker
I'm stoked, man. Like I said, I feel like all these matches are going to be bangers, even though Cody and Kevin and Gunther and Randy, you know, I feel like we kind of can predict the outcomes. Those are going to be matches going to be great. Crowds going to be on fire. Germany is always hot for the interview.
00:33:06
Speaker
The international crowd is going to be bananas. I'm super stoked for the mixed tag team match because we don't get those very often and we definitely don't get like intergender action, right? Which I definitely think we're going to see on, I think what was it like Baron Corbin given Becky Lynch? Yeah. They've done a little bit of stuff since then. I want to say Rhea fought like Carl Anderson in a match one on one, but it's been too far between. Yeah, there's been a little bit of intergender stuff since then.
00:33:34
Speaker
They don't give a kiss very often, but yeah, you definitely figure Rhea's getting her hands on Dom at some point. This is another one that benefits from being an afternoon show. That automatically lowers the bar so much, dude. It's your afternoon, dude. You could just be chilling anyways. It feels like bonus wrestling.
00:33:49
Speaker
All right. Uh, for no mercy, going to be a fun show. NXT has been straight up cooking as always really just, you know, I'd say the, the match that's low key, probably going to end up stealing the show for the whole weekend is Wesley versus Zachary Wentz. You know, long time tag partners, both guys can go really complimentary styles. And if you haven't been watching Wesley has been doing some absolutely amazing work down at NXT. So.
00:34:11
Speaker
Brett the Babyface loves Wesley. Yeah, so I'll give you guys that. I'll go and throw it out there that that's going to end up being the match of the whole freaking weekend. But let's just talk me an event. All Ego, Ethan Page defending the championship against TNA's Joe Hendry with Trick Williams as the guest referee.

NXT No Mercy Event Discussion

00:34:26
Speaker
This is going to be fire. Yeah. Sheen, do you believe in Joe Hendry? Can we see him actually grab that belt from All Ego? I don't know, dude. I mean, hasn't there never been a...
00:34:38
Speaker
TNA talent that's one like you know what I mean like a WWE title like the third time we've seen a Compete first but Joe Hendry is one of the hottest acts in all of wrestling not just NXT or TNA like dude is Gets the whole crowd singing along every time he's out there man like he had But you think it's ironic like you know la night like you say like, you know, you're like, oh he's just a meme dude, you know, I
00:35:04
Speaker
I mean, this is a different level, dude. He's definitely meme-ish, but I feel like it's even more beloved than LA Knight.
00:35:13
Speaker
I mean, I guess so, yeah. I mean, with something like this, with the Joe Hendry train, I feel like you have to strike while the iron's hot, because that could just die at any moment, right? And it's the NXT belt, so it's a lot less low stakes. I mean, Ethan Page won it in his second pay-per-view. Nobody saw that happen. This dude was an AW three months ago, and he's the freaking NXT champion now. Yeah.
00:35:35
Speaker
Totally. I mean, it's going to be high jinx galore. So yeah, I'm excited. I expect to see, you know, if you had to make me call it, I expect to see something happening with trick where maybe he, you know, accidentally catches Joe Hendry with the big knee or something to, to give the assist to Ethan Page. Um, but it's going to be fun, man. I get similar to that, that mixed match on a bachelor day before. I think this is going to be pure unadulterated sports entertainment.
00:36:01
Speaker
for sure. I think Obafemi versus Tony D is going to be a killer match, dude. See, dude, I know I hate to sound like a hater because dude has improved a lot since he's been there. Tony D has never been over with me, man. He seems like a throwback to the... He feels like he belongs to the new generation. I kind of like him though, dude. I kind of like Tony D. I feel like the whole family, they seem like they belong in that era right before, right as the new generation was ending and the Adjutant was starting. Just so cheesy with the mafia vignettes and stuff.
00:36:29
Speaker
I kind of like it though. They're committed to it, and Tony D's definitely improved a lot as a wrestler, but I'm hoping to see Oba Femi continue his rise to the top. Oh yeah, I don't think there's no way in hell that Tony's gonna, you know, dethrone Oba, but I still think it's gonna be a fun match.
00:36:44
Speaker
You like Wendy Chiu's new spooky gimmick? I do. Yeah, I like dark Wendy Chiu. I actually think she's got a real good shot at coming away with some gold. But yeah, so which show are you more excited to watch? No Mercy or Bachelor Berlin? Definitely Bachelor Berlin, I think. Yeah, the daytime wrestling makes it good. I've enjoyed NXT just as much, if not more, than the main roster at times over the last year. So I know No Mercy is going to be awesome.
00:37:06
Speaker
And it'll be nice, you know, you got bachelor Berlin Saturday afternoon, then you got the big break for Sunday night for no mercy So it's gonna be fun. Do we have any listener mail chain? Why? Yes, we do
00:37:29
Speaker
All right. We got our first message coming in from Commissioner Phil Dunnett from across the pond.

Netflix Series on Vince McMahon

00:37:35
Speaker
He said, do you think we will learn any new information about Vince and WWE or just the same old bollocks with it being on Netflix? So we found out today. I mean, they've been working on a Vince McMahon project for a while, but just here in the last 24 hours, we got confirmation that it's going to be Mr. McMahon. We didn't know if it was going to
00:37:54
Speaker
a documentary series on Netflix. So it's produced by Bill Simmons from The Ringer. And I forget the guy's name, but the guy that made Tiger King, that's who's putting it together. Oh, man. All about Vince McMahon. To be honest, it's really intriguing because The Ringer and Netflix, The Ringer to a little bit of an extent, they have a few podcast partnerships with them. And I know they cover WWE extensively. So there's a good relationship there. And Bill Simmons is a huge WWE fan.
00:38:22
Speaker
Yeah, and then obviously Netflix is deep in bed with WWE to the tune of billions and billions of dollars over the next decade.
00:38:30
Speaker
So I'm kind of thinking, I don't think it's going to be like a puff piece on Mr. McMahon because there's just no way they can get away with it. I think they are going to railroad Vince right here. Yeah, I think it's going to be a scapegoat. They're going to shed the company in a good light, make it look like Vince was somehow doing all this stuff behind closed doors. I don't think it's going to be on the up and up. I think there's a ton of politics going into this. And I think we might see some new information about Vince. I think they're going to slam Vince
00:38:54
Speaker
Which again, really intriguing because I know there's still people at the company that are loyal to Vince. You've heard John Cena. His relatives do. His son-in-law is, for all intents and purposes, running the day-to-day of the company. John Cena's talked about and still is like a father figure even after all these allegations have come out.
00:39:14
Speaker
I don't know. It's going to be very interesting to see, one, what we actually see and then two, what any fallout is from this. It's going to be compelling stuff. I don't want to be tuning in. Dave, poor Tony Khan. He said it months ago, to be AEW is to be under constant attack. Of course, they're releasing this thing on a freaking Wednesday, dude. As if AEW needs anything helping them with their dropping ratings, man. Exactly.
00:39:38
Speaker
The OG Fig Kid, Tom Montalto, he says, just wondering if you'd never seen CM Punk or Cody and AEW, would your dislike for both men or if, just wondering if you'd never seen CM Punk or Cody and AEW if your dislike for both men would be the same.
00:39:54
Speaker
Um, I disliked CM Punk before he ever came to the AEW. I just thought he, I always kind of thought he was an asshole. Like after hearing the story of CM Punk, um, I just always thought he was just kind of a jerk and I never really liked him. And then he came to AEW and proved that he's still that guy. So, I mean, it just kind of solidified me because when he came to AEW, I kind of had the little warm and fuzzies cause I would, you know, I would talk shit about Punk here and there.
00:40:18
Speaker
Um, but you know, when he came back and I saw all the adoration and all the love and all the fans getting, getting what they wanted for so many years, I kind of had the little warm and fuzzies and it, but it wasn't long that I was just like, Oh God, like this guy, he's, he's, he is who he thought he was. You know, I mean, when people show you who they are, freaking believe them. Right. And Cody.
00:40:38
Speaker
I never had any issues with Cody and then he went to WWE or then he went to AEW and he got roped in with Brandy and the cringe like breaking the throne gimmick and all of that, which I thought was just super cheesy. Um, but I mean, I, you know, even after he left it, AEW, I was, I was found with Cody, you know? Yeah, I've always been down with Cody. You guys remember the, uh, the third anniversary of the Chick Foley show, we did the best wrestler, the, the Chick Foley show era. And I gave it to, uh, Cody.
00:41:06
Speaker
Sorry, we're watching the Colorado North Dakota State game and interesting on a Hail Mary with North Dakota State almost freaking scored. I gave it to Cody, man. And this was even before he went back to WWE, you know, just off the what he did starting the AW. Right. Yeah. I mean, he really kind of led the revolution in pro wrestling and in a ton of ways is responsible for the current era that era that we're in.
00:41:31
Speaker
I was always a supporter of Cody Rhodes and Stardust. I was rooting for after Dusty passed away and he was still under contract with WWE. I was actually really rooting for them to go back to Cody Rhodes and give him a big babyface push. But he didn't have the Rhodes name at that time, remember? No, he was. He was in WWE.
00:41:47
Speaker
I know, but he couldn't use Cody Rhodes, right? He was in WWE. He was Cody Rhodes, and what do you mean he couldn't use the Rhodes name? That was after he left WWE. Oh, okay. Yeah. I was rooting to get away from Stardust and go back to being Cody Rhodes, but I was a fan of him the whole time there. I didn't like some of the whiny stuff he did after he left, man. He really turned me on. He turned me on.
00:42:11
Speaker
exit from WWE just some of the the stuff he said on the podcast started afterwards that it was just kind of cringe it felt a little forced I felt like he truly didn't feel that way but he felt like to be edgy and to be like cool and in with like the bucks and like everybody that he had to like trash WWE and I felt like I like again it just felt so phony because I again I don't feel like he truly felt like that in his heart yeah yeah and that's where a lot of my dislike for Cody came from so
00:42:41
Speaker
I uh, but uh, you know, I like Cody now my kids love Cody as a character I still he's not my favorite I just feel like he's kind of just corny dude But I still feel like there's a ton of money if it ever gets to that point and Cody going heel but keeping the exact same character Like playing that baby that heel who doesn't know he's a heel, right? I think there's a lot of money in that if the fans ever sour him, but I mean dude i'll call i'll call a spade a spade I was dead wrong man. I thought cody would be getting booed and be
00:43:06
Speaker
in the mid card a couple months after he came back from David W.E. I didn't think he would recover after he got beat from after Roman beat him at 39. I thought somehow even more. Yeah, I thought I was like, I was like, this was it. That was it. Yeah, Cody's going back down to the mid card and we will never see him, you know, at the top again. It's not for me, but Cody's definitely bulletproof.
00:43:26
Speaker
Yeah, so I mean, I respect seeing punk dude. I know he's a draw. I know he makes money. I know people love him. He's not for me. I've been very begrudgingly entertained by him since he came back to David. I still
00:43:37
Speaker
Don't really like the guy, but if I'm keeping it real, I can't really say anything bad about what he's done since he came back to WWE. Yeah, same. So, you know, and same with Cody. I love Cody, dude. I mean, we literally spent like, you know, 60 bucks at the damn merch stand getting our kids freaking Cody stuff at, uh, at raw. So, um, Zach, or sorry, it was a SmackDown, SmackDown, or raw. Which one did we go say? SmackDown. God. Uh, Zach Hertzler, this weekend, will you be watching wrestling or college football?
00:44:06
Speaker
What do you think, Shane? I think you'll be watching both. Both. We're watching college football tonight. Yeah, we're literally watching college football as we're recording this. It feels so good to have football back. But yeah, definitely check out the goal line football show if you have yet on this feed or on its own podcast feed. But yeah, we'll be watching both. If it's a conflict, wrestling wins every single time. Let me make that clear. I'd watch a B-level pay-per-view over the Super Bowl. So no doubt about that. But yeah, for this weekend, we'll definitely find a way to watch both.
00:44:33
Speaker
Jamie Will's genuine question, what percentage of the AEW roster do you think you could beat up in a scrap? Might be easier to count the ones you would lose to as they're all a bit taller than a minion.
00:44:44
Speaker
So I don't know how many I could straight up beat, right? But I'll say the big difference between them and WWE is how many that I would at least wouldn't- Back down, yeah. I would say there's a big chunk of them that like- If they step to you. If we're out at a bar and one of them spilt the drink on Sheena, I'm not backing down, right? I'm totally cool to get in their face and see who blinks first, man.
00:45:09
Speaker
There's a lot of people in WWE that if it happens, I'm just swallowing the pride. I'll die that death and take that inner defeat, but I'm not going to get my face permanently wrecked for something that happens in a bar. That was my big thing.
00:45:25
Speaker
We had the ongoing debate about Roman Reigns and Kenny Omega. I said, dude, if Kenny Omega came up and grabbed your girl's ass in the bar, you're going out and scrapping with him, dude. You may lose, but you're at least going to go out and fight it out. If Roman Reigns did it, you're just like, fuck.
00:45:40
Speaker
I guess I'm losing my girl. Mr. Still your girl. Um, yeah, I agree. I mean, I, I mean, as, even as a woman, like I wouldn't have any qualms like going up to Jack Perry or Darby Allen or even Adam Cole, you know, and just like, there's just less people. Like I'd fight Dom and I feel like I'd run out of names real quick when I was seeing all the WWE superstars. Dom is big though. He's tall, but I still do. I would, I would, I would fight Dom dude.
00:46:06
Speaker
I love Dom. Dom's the best. Most improved, man. I love him. He did an interview with Peter Rosenberg. If you haven't listened to it, it's a shoot interview. Sorry, it's a kayfabe interview and it's so good. He's just talking about his love for tendies and his love for live. He was hilarious on Impulsive too. His interview with Logan Paul is hilarious too. Yeah, he's just primo. I love Dirty Dom.
00:46:30
Speaker
Zach Hurstler, anything on the menu for this weekend? Like we said, Brett is having a birthday party. He wants chicken wings, so we're gonna make some chicken wings. I don't know what kind of... What flavor you want, Brett? What birthday dessert he wants. Brett's actually watching football and watching his pod. What flavor wings do you want? I can't play with action figures. I don't know what flavor they have for me. We can do any flavor you want. You like barbecue wings or like the hot, like the spicy kind of buffalo wings.
00:46:58
Speaker
He wants spicy. He wants some buffalo wings. He's getting more into the spicy stuff, yeah. But for the most part, we're not doing... So we'll do a little bit of wings for Brett's birthday. But like I said, we've had a massive blowout weekend for the last month. Yeah. And we have family here as we speak. And we have family right now. Yeah, my grandparents are visiting. So honestly, this is like a recovery weekend, dude. I got a nice four-day weekend for Labor Day. I'm really looking forward to just... I still want to even all the way unpack my bag from Texas.
00:47:23
Speaker
I know all of our bags are still in there. We didn't get back till three o'clock in the morning, you know, Sunday night, early Monday morning, real straight to the work week and the football week, you know, with between me coaching, she gonna be in the team mom. It's just a high level of investment on this football thing. Yeah, it's great. We love it, man. We love our players and the parents that we coach with, but dude, it's just.
00:47:43
Speaker
I think it may have been Zach I was talking to, or maybe it was Matt Rusk I was talking to, we were talking about like, dude, if we could just get like 27 hours in the day, dude. That's what I need. I feel like if I had an extra three hours a day, I could be all set, man, but I feel like I'm just kind of running on the train. I feel like you feel like that, but then you would find something else would just fill it up, dude.
00:48:03
Speaker
I mean, we're literally I try to be very mindful, you know, as sports as a sports parent, I try to be very mindful, especially because you know, I have young kids, right? Like, I mean, I'm not here to tell high school parents of high school sports athletes what to do. But I feel like when your kids are young, dude, you need to strike a balance where they still have time to just play and have free play and unstructured play and not have something to do every single night. So we're taking a break for this coming month with from karate, because Brett was gonna have something like
00:48:30
Speaker
Four or five nights a week and I just feel like that's just it's just too much It takes away from family time his investment level in the activities, too Yeah, he can't give his hundred percent because he's just like okay. I'm doing something every single night So I think the big thing with football too is that so we it's really it's only two nights a week because this is still six You right? Yes, we you know the way the age works out It's mostly six and seven year olds on the team, but we practice on Monday, and then we have a game Wednesday So it's like it's just like the front end of your weakest land right our weekends are

And we have four school on Mondays too. So it's like, we do like, you know, other stuff too on Mondays. Our weekends are typically pretty free, but we've had just kind of other random stuff going on the last few weekends. But yeah, our weeks, Monday through Wednesday are just slammed for us, man. Yeah. And then we would have karate on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of every week for the karate.

But we said all that to say, yeah, we're not doing anything crazy. You guys know normally we would have, I don't know what we'd do for the German, maybe a nice wiener schnitzel or something like that, some good bratwurst and German beers. And some German beers. Yeah, but I think we'll clean out the fridge and we'll do a little bit for Brett's birthday for the menu this weekend. Thanks for asking, Zach.

All right, Tony Barker wants to know, what is your favorite version of Sid? Vicious, justice, or psycho? Psycho Sid, dude. 96 Psycho Sid. He came back at In Your House International Incident in June to take the ultimate warrior's place. The ultimate warrior got shit canned or quit depending on who you listen to. And Sid randomly takes his place in a six man tag with Sean and Ahmed Johnson. And that run from International Incident

all the way through WrestleMania 13 is just really, really entertaining stuff, man. Sid was right there in the main event. It was kind of Sid, Undertaker, Brett, Austin, Shawn, and Mankind mixed in a little bit too, just a really cracking main event scene there right at the edge of the new generation era rolled into the attitude era.

Awesome. Tony Barker also hit us with how Jack do you that we are rapidly approaching spooky season? I am so excited that you asked this question. I am hyped. I am ready. I've actually you know, every spooky season, Seth and I we go watch our scary movies. You know, it's like a tie. I love scary movies year round. But Seth is you know, he has a

select time when he likes to really enjoy the spooky horror genre and i already asked him i was like hey can it be october like we go ahead and start our spooky season he's like no we have to wait till september so. The anticipation is building i'm ready for all things apple and fall and pumpkin and cold mornings drinking coffee on the back porch like.

I'm so here for it. So yeah, we need to figure out what Halloween themed episodes we're going to record this year and what kind of, whether we're going to get a bracket or whether we're going to do some wrestling stuff. We need to just make sure we're watching at least one horror movie every week and we provide a review on it.
00:51:23
Speaker
Yeah. Did we do one? We did more than that. We were doing it every other night. We did a real good job. You guys know, if you're parrots, you know how hard it is to carve out time to watch old feature-length film. We did good last year. We did a mix of classics and new stuff like Indie Horse. Very modern. Some of it was really entertaining. Really good stuff. We'll let you guys know what we're watching and what we recommend and what we don't. I am an autumn. I am a fall girl in my soul and cannot wait.

Zach Hertzer, black and white, NWO or NWO Wolfpack? As our resident WCW expert, I want to toss this one to you. So as a pro wrestling faction in kayfabe, it's got to be the black and white because they're in the mix for greatest factions ever. The Wolfpack

If you really stop and think about it for any amount of time, makes absolute zero sense. But I say that just to say that I freaking love the NWO Wolfpack. I knew you were going to say, I was like, I know you're not about to dog the Wolfpack. Again, they make zero sense, but they were just the coolest man. The black and red was such a simple tweak that just worked. I've always made sure I always got an NWO Wolfpack shirt in the mix.
00:52:37
Speaker
I had a beautiful Wolfpack jacket back in the day. I ended up selling them. We kind of liquidated our Chocoline jacket collection, but I always loved that varsity Wolfpack jacket. The Wolfpack was just the coolest, man. Lex Luger, Macho Man, Kevin Nash. When Sting joined and brought the face paint, it was just incredible. The music hits, like me and Sheena's flag football team we were in in Fredericksburg, we were the Wolfpack with the red and black color scheme.
00:53:06
Speaker
It still hits, dude. Like, you know, the too sweet, like, you know, the black and white was doing a little bit, but I thought the Wolfpack really made it a part of their gimmick. So, you know, it makes zero sense, man. I still love the Wolfpack. That's like one of my core memories. Like if I, if somebody, if I'm like kind of just at work, you know, in the doldrums, like typing away at something, I just hear the phrase pro wrestling, like the immediate like flashes in my brain. NW Wolfpack is in there, man. It's one of my, my core wrestling memories and love.
00:53:34
Speaker
Yeah, I feel like that's a pretty common um, you know, I feel like people a lot of people share that sentiment that you just shared I feel like people are like, yeah, you know, my my head wants to say black and white but my heart says wolf pack Yeah, because the thing is dude just looking back the wolf pack made no sense Like well, I mean it made sense for the nw to split up and then like why did sting join? Yeah, there was no reason for sting to join any part of the nwo, right? He should have been part of any of that Yeah, he should have been still trying to kill all of you like hitting everybody with a baseball bat but uh
00:54:04
Speaker
Yeah, Wolfpack was just the coolest though, man. And sometimes that's all... It's fitting that that question comes up the week when Sid comes up, because a lot of stuff with Sid never really made sense, but he was just the coolest man. So it worked too. So sometimes just having a really cool look and a really cool vibe is all you need in wrestling, dude. It's not about the...
00:54:23
Speaker
That's all you need in life. It's not about the Tiger drivers or the 780 splashes or any of that stuff, dude. If you're something cool and memorable, it's going to last.
