Let's go. So before we get into the individual matches, what's your overall hype level going into this one? Because I'm definitely a little bit subdued. i'm not I'm not exactly counting down the minutes for this this show to kick off. I mean, i'm like you said, I'm not like, you know, just beating down the doors. Can't wait for backlash, dude. But I think it's going to be a fun show. It's a nice, tight card unless something else gets added on you know Friday, tomorrow night, which I'm sure something something probably will. But as of right now, we just have five matches. So it's going to be a nice, clean, clean card. Probably get lots of ad breaks. But ah other than that, i'm um I think it's going be good. I think I'm going to be a sports entertained.

I think we start at the bottom and just work our way up, man. So we got the Intercontinental Championship. The new champ, Dom, is going to be defending against Penta. I don't really know where this is going to go, man. yeah you He had a big moment at WrestleMania, so you got to think Dom's probably retaining at least to his first defense. But I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Penta take this thing, especially because we still have this super slow play tension going between Finn and Dom. Like, is something going to come to a head with with the Judgment Day? We got Finn and Dom, but we also have El Grande Americano creeping around. So I feel like to me, if I'm putting money on it, I think Dom retains. I think there's some sort of interference by it nay yeah El Grande. So it doesn't really you know it doesn't really take away from Penta. Yeah.

It kind of spins off and gives Penta a little feud before, um you know, he gets into something bigger. Yeah, you you could have you could have a schmoz on both sides. You could have Judgment Day shenanigans going on along with, like you said, Chad Gable and Penta. So, yeah, good call. I do think there's a chance Penta walks away with this belt just because, you know, Dom, to me, Dom is a made man already. i don't think he really needs a long reign. He had the moment at Mania. That's what everybody's going to remember no matter what, you know, him being such a baby face there in Vegas and getting to back to the ring for the the victory lap. Yeah. I don't think, yeah, he well earned too, but I don't think it's going to hurt him if he drops this one, but yeah, money money on the table.

It's going to be a freaking banger. i I don't know how this is going to play out, if there will be any interference. i don't know how there could be with all these four guys, but... um Yeah, the thing is, man, to go Steiner math, if you're in a fatal four-way, that immediately lowers the mathematical probability that the champ retains. But I feel like anytime I see a triple threat, a fatal four-way, fatal five-way, that just makes me more confident that the champ is walking out of there with the belt, man. I know it's been times where they've lost their belts in matches like these, but I feel like it's exceedingly rare.

So i agree. I'm picking Jacob as well.

Our next match, we got Pat McAfee versus Gunther. Just basically like a ah a grudge match. So I think this is going to be kind of I don't think Pat McAfee is going to get straight up squash.

But I feel like Gunther is not losing back to back matches. Right. Like he's going to come out. He has something to prove. He's going to show Pat McAfee like who's boss, who's the ring general. yeah I am expecting a straight up squash. I think the only way this match goes past seven or eight minutes is if Gunther is just beating on Pat McAfee to just accentuate the blue mousseau. To me, you know, taking my kayfabe hat off and putting my business hat on, um I think this is a way to write Pat McAfee off until after college football season's over with. So, yeah, I think we see Gunther really lay into Pat McAfee. Yeah.

But, you know, aside from Becky turning on her the night after WrestleMania, what's been your most memorable moment of Lyra Valkyrie's Intercontinental Championship reign? I mean, nothing, but I mean, I'm not saying she's not really good, dude. The rain's been a nothing burger, right? Especially compared to what Chelsea Green did with the United States Championship over on SmackDown. That felt like a big deal. People were excited to see that every single week.

She's been running Bailey down on the mic. Lyra is definitely a bit player in the Becky Lynch versus Bailey story. um I'm just not sure if that Becky and Bailey ends up being over the Intercontinental Championship.

I don't know if that means The Rock's coming back or what we're going to see. i Don't expect The Rock, Dave. Don't even put that out there. But we know The Rock's sensitive to the fit to the fans. That would be the most rock thing to skip WrestleMania and then show at Backlash. Still got Travis Scott out there. Rumors came out today that Travis Scott is training with Booker T to make his actual WWE in-ring debut. So I'm fully expecting SummerSlam to see something like Travis Scott and Cena against Cody Rhodes and, and don't know, Drake or somebody. under who cody's there I don't know who Cody's going bring in for his celebrity sidekick. But that's what I'm expecting to see at SummerSlam. Yeah.

You know what I mean? so Yeah. for the the thought The thought of him having zero chances is very unique. I'm going with Cena, too, though. I think it's just... This is just the way the story is going to play out for the better part of this year. Yeah, unfortunately, think you're right. To me, depending on the way the storyline goes, I think SummerSlam is probably the first opportunity see him potentially dropping that bell. But other than that, I think if he does drop it at SummerSlam, he's probably taking it all the way to the end of the year, and then we'll find a way to get Cena back beloved by the fans for his big send-off, maybe at Mania or something next year. We've got a soccer game in the morning, and birthday party in the afternoon, and then we get to come home and backlash it up so you know i'm uh i'm really surprised they didn't end up going jay uso versus logan paul they've developed they they put so much tv time in on that it looks like they're saving that for saturday night's main event down in tampa next month so i was surprised we're not seeing those guys and then uh we're not seeing set the run breaker have something to do Yeah, they've been the big storyline. I thought for sure when at the way that match ended in between Seth and Jey Uso on Raw, I thought we were going to get Seth and Braun to get CM Punk and Sammy for backflash. They've been on almost this kind of like AEW's version of the bloodline.

I think they saw what WWE was able to do with that super long run with Roman and how much intrigue he built, like when's he going to lose this belt, and now they've got a chance to the same thing with Mox. Give him another six months, he'll beat MJF's record for more. I don't feel like Roman ever had like a lull like Mox's head either. You know what I mean? Roman never had go-home heat. You know what mean? The Mox and Edge match at Revolution this year, that's one people really seem to hate. People seem to enjoy Mox and Swerve.

I don't think it looks bad. i think it's fine. I think the figure itself for what it is, it's fine. I personally have grown to really not be a fan of Zombie Sailor's line because the designer, whoever's sculpting them, they always give them these super long arms, man. And like, it wasn't like that at first. I feel like as the line's gone on, they've really leaned into some of those design aspects. And now it's like the only thing I can see when i look at the figures. But I do think it's a totally fine figure. It's a huge, huge, huge, gigantic missing piece from WWF, the Hasbro line. All we got, we got the new foundation slash high energy version of Owen Hart with the crazy MC Hammer pants. We never got this Owen, and he was such a huge part of WWE from 1994, 1995 there at the tail end of the Hasbro line. So I'm happy doing this. And the Jazzwares was such a bummer. was such a letdown. deal Yeah, I'm really curious as to what the deal was with Jazzwares, because obviously this is, you know, proceeds from this are going to the Owen Hart Foundation. So it's got it's got the blessing from his widow, Martha Hart, We always heard that they couldn't do WWF at her wishes. So i don't know if something just changed with her personally over the last couple of years as Owen's kind of been brought back. The economy. Yeah, you may be right. Yeah. But I don't know for everything, I, you know, not to get morbid, I think they're pretty good on money, though. i think they you know and actually ended up getting a pretty good ah settlement.

So I wonder what it was because that was the big criticism on the Jazzers. They gave us – I thought their Owen Hart figures were fine, but they definitely weren't the ones. They weren't what you wanted to do. When they announced that they were doing Owen Hart, you had, like, all these different, like, looks in your head and those weren't one of them. I don't think he does. I mean, it's Cena. He still has enough equity with the fans and they really, at the time when he turned with the Rock, seemed like going to really evil. Now it's, it's kind of been, you know, just kind standard wrestling to heel stuff. I think if he gets beat by Cody or Roman Reigns or whoever in his last match, if, if the new champ leaves, Cena's there sitting on the apron for a second, I think you'll see a gigantic freaking standing ovation come from the crowd and we'll be a dry of the house, man. You, were never going to have to do too much to get Cena back in the fans' good graces. He's got a lot of money in the bank with the crowd. Speaking of that, if you could bring back any pay-per-view from the past, what would it be and why? That was from our buddy, the OG Fig Kid, Tom Montalto.

And then whichever team wins wins. And immediately after they win the tag team tournament, those two guys face off one on one and the winner gets title shot. And I just think there's a ton of fun stuff. you can do that with, you know, splitting up tag teams, having enemies team up. There's just a ton of storylines you can do. I think that'd be a great time to do um and maybe one of the down periods of the year because you can really you can really use it as a big launching point for a lot of storylines. Yeah, this is tough because I feel like all the ones that I've said, you know, anytime these questions got brought up in previous years, you know, we said like Halloween Havoc um and, you Bad Blood and all that. They brought all these back war games.
