00:00:23
Speaker
What is up Foley fam? We are back with a summer blockbuster of an episode of the Chick-fil-A show.

AEW Live Stream and Wrestling News

00:00:29
Speaker
We're live streaming AEW's big four hour extravaganza tonight. We're going to talk about all of the crazy news from the last couple of days in wrestling and bring you our thoughts on Money in the Bank. But first, let me introduce the star of the show, Sheena. How you doing?
00:00:43
Speaker
I'm doing good. I got the kids settled in for a night movie, so hopefully we don't have any run-ins. What movie did they pick tonight? Diary of a Wimpy Kid, yet again. no They love it. Yeah, they love the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.
00:00:54
Speaker
The live-action one? The live-action, yeah. They watched ah the animated one, nothing think, yesterday. Cool.

Co-host Sheena Settles in

00:00:59
Speaker
Jordan, what's happening out in Nebraska? Oh, nothing. Just a preparing for the College World Series. The biggest 10 days in Omaha every year. so yeah just And it's it's been hot as shit today. ah Everybody always makes the joke that it always gets hot right before the College World Series.
00:01:15
Speaker
Monday, it was like 75 degrees and a little breezy, and it was like a top five weather day. And today it's 93. So we're we're there. Do you have your, do you got your Murray State gear ready to go? I know that's who you're rooting for to win it all. That is not who I'm rooting for. ah I've always been an Oregon State baseball fan, so and Oregon State's here this year, so that's who

College World Series and Oregon State Fandom

00:01:34
Speaker
I'm rooting for.
00:01:36
Speaker
gotta explain that. How ah did you become an Oregon State baseball fan? That's, in all your fandom, that's gotta be the most random. He doesn't root for any hometown teams, does he? He's got the Huskers. Oh, the Huskers. The Huskers. Um...
00:01:47
Speaker
Yeah, so this one just came about. um It was 2006. Oregon State came here. had just turned 21 that year, and their fans traveled really well, and we went to a lot of their games, and I just got hooked by it. So, yeah, I've been a fan of them since 2006.

Listener Mail: College World Series Predictions

00:02:05
Speaker
ah speaking of omaha we got tony barker gonna go ahead and jump to some listener mail since we're talking about this and i don't know how it over will organically come up again in the conversation but he said who will win the men's college world series mary state did kentucky represent if i if i had to put money on it i'd probably say arkansas but i'm gonna say oregon state just because that's who i root for nice all right sheena tell us what is new on the farm Um, not a whole lot. We were hand feeding our turtle some blueberries today.

Sheena's Turtle and Food Preferences

00:02:34
Speaker
A funny, um, you know, just total weird thing. well you gave it a, even though it's organic, we gave it an organic strawberry for like a grocery store strawberry and she wouldn't eat it, but we went and picked a garden blueberry and she freaking chomped down on it, dude.
00:02:51
Speaker
So I know weird, huh? Makes you wonder like, you know, what's really going on. the animals know the deal. They know they, hate they have a sense about things.

We are, you know, we're in the middle of the Anthony Bowen's Kyle Fletcher match right now. We kind of been, ah we got a light start, but we got caught back up and we're watching live right now.

AEW Unified Title Debate

00:03:26
Speaker
It feels like a lot has happened ah in the first two hours of this show. I mean, I'm not saying it's all been great, but first match was really good. I hate when they do the draw thing, but... It is what it is. Just kind of keep that feud going.
00:03:40
Speaker
And then Okada and Kenny are officially getting a new belt called the Unified Title, which, dear God, I don't know why that's. The belt looks great, but dude, like, you got it. I mean, the thing about it is I get it, man. It's American wrestling. People are always going to think WWF yeah when they hear Intercontinental Championship. But, you know, New Japan had an Intercontinental Championship with a great, great lineage.
00:04:01
Speaker
uh you know intercontinental is an accepted thing in wrestling man like just just just don't think anybody would held against them i'm sure there'll be some assholes that try to clown them and say oh they're copying wwe but they're just being dumb i don't i don't think you should let dumb fans get in the way of that because i feel like you i feel like it took a lot of effort to like you know hey i think you really had like get a group sitting around a table and go we got to come up with something besides intercontinental for this thing but yeah and who i mean and who gives a shit i mean honestly But still, the worst part of that whole segment is not them name the title. It's Okada joining the Don Callis family for some unknown reason.
00:04:33
Speaker
Jesus. Talk about just the most obnoxious thing possible for Okada to be playing. It's like a vortex that just pulls you right into the mid-card. you know I think the Callis family is great for their solid mid-card

Okada and Don Callis Family Concerns

00:04:48
Speaker
acts. I mean, some of these guys have bit of potential, like Kyle Fletcher for sure, but they're just...
00:04:52
Speaker
they're there just to kind of eat up minutes on the weekly TV shows when you need heels coming out. I feel like I see Don Callis coming out for like three or four matches a week um between AEW's two shows. And yeah, it's just, you're you're never getting like super hype when you see the Callis family showing up. They're just, you know, they're the goons of AEW.
00:05:09
Speaker
Yeah, not good. Shane, what's your thoughts on the Unified Championship? I think that name is Repug, dude. They're such a great belt too. Yeah, like you said, the the belt looks really nice, um but it was just like,
00:05:21
Speaker
I don't know. I mean, out of all the options, I mean, if you didn't want call it intercontinental, mean, there's a million other options you could have went with, but they went with unified. Yeah. Unified. I almost feel like United would have even been better. United would have been, yeah. I mean, it would have been great, but it would have been better than unified. and Yeah. It's like we got the international, the international, and we got the continental, and we're joining them.
00:05:43
Speaker
What could we possibly call this championship? I don't know. I mean, and it's like, so, and if you're not even like, if you're not familiar with AEW, say you come in, you're like, what the fuck did they unify? You know what I mean? Like, if you're a new, if you're a new fan to like, you're like, oh, he's got the unified title. I'm thinking it's like, when I hear that, I'm thinking of that picture of the Bloods and Crips where like, you know, they've got the two bandanas tied together. Unified. Unified.
00:06:03
Speaker
you like Yeah, this is a championship where like arch enemies fight and become buddies after West Ends. It unifies people. It brings people together. Yeah, it's ridiculous, Dane. It was ah a poor choice by all parties involved. Yeah. Luckily, you know i will give TK credit, man. He definitely is not afraid of pivoting. you know We saw the All-Atlantic was a questionable name for a championship, and they pivoted and changed it to the International Championship. Yeah. I know, but the thing is with all of this, is like you did when you do that, when you like you know snip, snap, snip, snap, it's like the lineage is trash, right? Because you're like, oh, he was a he was a you know mid-Atlantic champion or whatever it is. You know what i mean? And it's like, now he's the...
00:06:43
Speaker
If it makes sense, I don't think the fans hold it against it. WWE's got some goofy stuff, too. They're still calling the belt that Cody had and Cena had. They're still calling it the undisputed WWE Championship. when I don't know how it's undisputed when you have another world champion in your company. so True. yeah They're not alone in having goofy names for belts, but...
00:07:03
Speaker
But yeah, did have a 24 seven title. Yeah, i just, you know, I love AEW. I really do, man. I think the people that just hate on every single thing that they do are like just not good wrestling fans.
00:07:13
Speaker
But tell he kind he just keeps giving them bounce passes to set them up for freaking layups. Yeah, right there. he's like He's definitely the Michael Scott of na naming titles. He's like, oh, that looks like a friendly face. We'll call her sugar boobs.
00:07:26
Speaker
Yes, have like freaking put Tony Scott, Tony Scott, Tony Khan and Michael Scott in the same category since yeah day one, dude. Definitely cut from the same cloth. I think we got a smooth segue. We're talking about, you know, poor naming choices.

NXT's Blake Monroe Introduction

00:07:40
Speaker
Blake Monroe was kind of officially unveiled on NXT last night.
00:07:46
Speaker
I don't hate Blake and I don't hate Monroe, but something about them together just doesn't roll off the tongue very well. I mean, the glamour gimmick is still there. She still looks great. I'm sure she's going to be fine. I'm sure it'll be one of those things. I mean, we didn't think we would like Gunther, right? And now we've just kind of all accepted that he's Gunther. I think it'll take a little bit, but the alliteration with Mariah May, and I understand that was her true name. Like that's her real name. So I probably wouldn't give that intellectual property to WWE, even if they offered it. You know mean? Why don't just Mariah Monroe?
00:08:16
Speaker
Mariah Monroe would have been fabulous. yeah To me, the name was like, you know, it's not great. I would prefer she just say Mariah May. But I would agree. I'm with you. I think it's kind of a non-issue, dude. I had more problems with that vignette they did last night, that video. I thought that was just...
00:08:32
Speaker
you know, super duper cringe and yeah kind of, it was somehow generic, but also a total rip off at the same time. So I don't know if, I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be that cringey or if it was supposed to be something that was cool. Like, I don't know what they were going for, but it felt off, man. The the name I think is kind of neat because she came out and explained that The race she got to that name, she's got I guess she's got a niece that she's super-duper close with named Blake, so that's what she took the first name for, and then she's a big Marilyn Monroe fan. So I've kind of just accepted the name that it's just something's goingnna happen with WWE sometimes, but I thought that video was horrible, man. What did you think of our first real glimpse of what Mariah Mays is going to look like in NXT, Jordan? That was not good.
00:09:09
Speaker
the Just the like you said, the whole vignette thing, was it was not good, and then I sent you guys that s Sabrina Carpenter thing, and it literally was a complete ripple. That had to be and very intentional. So that that actually softened up for me because my but you know our daughter Stella is just obsessed with Sabrina Carpenter. So that actually, that softened. i that That kind of brought me back to the side of the light a little bit on it. But jury's out for me on what this is going to look like. you know I think in so many ways, I think she's already beyond NXT. So I think it's kind of awkward her even being down there to begin with. I kind of feel like she's just leagues ahead of pretty much everybody besides Jordan Grace that's down there right now. I don't know, man. well
00:09:47
Speaker
We'll see how this goes. Um, let's kind of work backwards and on

Jey Uso vs. Gunther: Match Implications

00:09:52
Speaker
the WWE clock. Monday Night Raw closes, no cash in, no shenanigans with the, uh, the Heyman gang.
00:09:59
Speaker
Um, Jey Uso straight up drops the belt to Gunther, man. What are you guys' thoughts? I was, I mean, i was just shocked, dude. I honestly, like, I didn't think Jey was going to be like, you know, this champion that we carried on for years. But to lose clean on an episode of Monday Night Raw um was just a little bit jarring, and you know, considering everything we've seen over the last few months.
00:10:22
Speaker
Not even just that. Now he's 1-4 against Gunther, and his one win was at WrestleMania. I feel like that just buried him further in the Jay Gunther.
00:10:33
Speaker
but If that continues, I feel like Jay's so far underneath him at this point, even though he had the belt and he won at WrestleMania. don't know. I did not want him to lose clean, and this is coming from someone that said he needed to lose the title sooner rather than later last week. Yeah.
00:10:48
Speaker
But if we're going the way of Gunther versus Goldberg, then why does Gunther need the title? I don't think, you know what mean? I don't think. I think they only make Goldberg's last match title versus career. I think that's how he gets the title shot. You know, he says, I'll put the title on line, you put your career on the line. oh And that's really going to happen, man. Yeah, that's really going to get me going.
00:11:09
Speaker
Title versus career for a guy who's done wrestling after this match. that We already know that. Yeah, I'm still I'm still hype for Goldberg in a retirement match. year I'll always be a goal. But it doesn't need to be a title match. So is the problem, dude. Yeah, that's my thing. I don't care. Yeah.
00:11:24
Speaker
Like, oh, if I lose, I'll never wrestle again. that There doesn't need to be anything else attached to it. Like, I just don't understand the point of Gunther having the belt going into that match. Like, we could easily had Gunther versus Goldberg with his career on the line still.
00:11:39
Speaker
So I think there does yeah, you're right. There doesn't have to be, but I still think there's like some added tension anytime Goldberg's going for a belt, man. Like I don't the scars of Goldberg beating The Fiend for the belt are still very fresh in my mind.
00:11:52
Speaker
And I just think that'll just kind of amp up the energy in there. So, yeah, I agree, Jordan. He doesn't need the belt. But if we're going Saturday night's main event in in Atlanta, Georgia, if this thing's really going to go down kind of the way it It seems like, you know, it's lining up.
00:12:05
Speaker
I think just make it the biggest match possible. Go title versus career for Goldberg's last match. But yeah, to me, Jay, dude, this a critical time period for him, man. He's got a, it can't be Kofi, man. He can't show up two weeks from now and act like, you know, he's still just eating like it's normal, dude. Yeah.
00:12:23
Speaker
and I'm kind of worried because don't know if you guys saw on social media, they posted it. The New Day taught trash and kind of got into it with Jimmy Uso after Raw. so that's yeah I saw something. I saw some like people reporting that it was ah that Jay was going to start teaming tag teaming again with Jimmy. Yeah.
00:12:39
Speaker
I would say, man, you know I'm a Jay apologist also. I love Jay. I really do. I think even though the Yeet stuff kind of wore on me, but just the overall rise of his character from being, you know, being a tag team guy with face paint to being the day one ish to being Roman's lackey to being made of it. Jay Usum when the belt really... really, really cool.
00:12:57
Speaker
um I think he got exposed a little bit on this last run, man. I just, has and somebody I'm somebody that will readily admit, even though Bret Hart's my all-time favorite wrestler, dude, to me, the in-ring work is maybe 15% of the equation, right? Like, I think it's it's not, especially in WWE, it's definitely not the biggest part of what what makes somebody, you know, a true blue world champion contender.
00:13:20
Speaker
I felt like Jay's work was really, really, um, just not up to par the last one to a point where was unbelievable. You know i mean? Like his spears are 50 and he doesn't got a suit. me He's not got a Will Ospreay moves that he's busting out there, but it's still like 50, 50 on if his moves are looking believable. I feel like sometimes he can kind of take you out.
00:13:37
Speaker
Um, mean, he's a lifelong tag team guy. You know what i mean? i think it's it's ah I think it's a totally different... i think we just underestimate what kind of totally different art form it is to be a tag team wrestler versus a solo competitor. You know what I mean? Especially when you've done it like your entire career.
00:13:54
Speaker
yeah you know It's not he just got thrown into a weird tag team, right? like I feel like it's just... I mean, I'm with you, but he's been basically wrestling solo for the last two years. You know I mean? There's guys who, you know, Bret Hart didn't write ra very hard to need to ramp up. Bret Hart was in the Hart Foundation for 10 years, and his first solo pay-per-view match was the all-time classic against Mr. Purpity at SummerSlam.
00:14:13
Speaker
Yeah, but a man I mean, feel like you're, you know, you you went to the the greatest of all time. you know right It's probably unfair to expect him to be Hart. You're right. But I don't know. i I feel like Jay is kind of good as an upper mid card guy, right? Like, let him let him get the Intercontinental Championship, the United States Championship, and you know, let him flirt with the world title. I just, I don't think he's the guy, man. I think this was better. This overall thing, I think was better than Kofi mania, but

Jey Uso's WWE Future: What's Next?

00:14:37
Speaker
it's, to me, it's kind of like the high end of that. It still falls something like that. i don't think he's, I don't think he's a permanent world tier title contender. I think this was a, no this this was a run for a season and let's kind of let him settle back. I don't think there's anybody out there that was like, this is, this is the guy, this is the next guy. right? I mean, he's pretty popular, dude. He's popular. I mean, he's popular for the kids. He might still be the guy for all we know. They could totally be setting him up to get another moment at SummerSlam. He's slinging. her I don't know if they're going, if they're going the Samoan route, dude, they're going with freaking Jacob, dude. Jacob, his aura was off the freaking charts. say Yeah. He's a huge. Unhinged at money in the bank.
00:15:12
Speaker
it It is going to be depressing though. If they just throw Jay right back into the Usos and just act like this singles run never happened. And how fitting that it would be against the new day of all teams. Like,
00:15:23
Speaker
I know. I don't know. I still remember after Kofi got squashed by Brock, man. I think he was off TV for two weeks. And the next time we saw him, he's just walking backstage with Biggie and Xavier, like, you know, coking and joking. Like, no big deal, man. Yeah, I don't think they're going to do that one, you know...
00:15:39
Speaker
WWE is all about the bottom dollar dude and Jay freaking slings merch, man. yeah I mean, every, every little kid in the audience is wearing yeet merch. You know what i mean? So, um, Jay is for the kids.
00:15:50
Speaker
So I feel like they're at least going to keep him in the mix. Did you guys happen to see the speech that Jay Uso gave after raw went off the air? Yeah. Mm-mm. Yeah, it was it was really, really good, man. He gave a super... It just shows you why people love Jey Uso, even beyond the Yeet stuff, man. Like, gave a super heartfelt speech, thanking the fans. He thanked Gunther, right? Put over Gunther Big for being such an amazing wrestler.
00:16:09
Speaker
And then he also... I really like, dude. He gave a shout-out to all the parents and explained to all the kids in there, like, hope y'all understand, like, how hard y'all's parents are working to... to pay for y'all to be at these shows and bring y'all out and get you all the merch and stuff, man. it is yeah it was pretty cool, man. Pretty, pretty, uh, wholesome moment. So yeah, I know the future is bright for Jay. He's already a made man. Like nobody ever could have expected him to reach the heights he's reached in the last, last couple of years from where he started at. So if if this was the peak, I still say, you know, Bravo job well done, but I'm really interested to see what's next for him,

Gunther's WWE Storyline Prospects

00:16:40
Speaker
man. Um,
00:16:41
Speaker
Gunther, dude, I don't know. I feel like we may be heading to Gunther and Sami at SummerSlam. What do you guys think, man? Who you guys think comes out of this King Ring tournament to face Gunther in the big match at SummerSlam?
00:16:53
Speaker
Well, it's not guaranteed that it's Gunther either. i mean, the SmackDown guy could easily win too. Yeah, true. don't know. I guess Cody could win, man. i don't know I feel like we're getting Cody and Cena's one way or another, man, at SummerSlam. Yeah, I guess we could see King Cody.
00:17:08
Speaker
Yeah, which would, I mean, that'd just be another feather under his cap, so I wouldn't be surprised about that. Yeah. yeah I mean... Sammy and Gunther is just what it is at that point, I guess. i don't it's not i feel like Sammy would be a prime target for a win and an instant cash-in, dude. yeah like It's been such a moment they're building to. Imagine Sammy gets the belt and then loses it 10 minutes later, man. The heat on Seth would be nuclear. Dude, having Jay and Sammy both drop the world title in a month span would be really something.
00:17:39
Speaker
Yeah, I just I feel like that belt. It's it's not going to be it's going to be around Seth Rollins waist much sooner rather than later. I think so, too. Who do we get coming out on AW right here?
00:17:51
Speaker
Oh, we got the hounds of hell coming out. All right. They were looking up, man. i was like, what the heck is Darby about to come out and drop drop from the freaking Raptors at at 930 Central Standard Time on, you know, it's collision at this point.
00:18:03
Speaker
All right. Other thing i on Raw. So, ah Jay, and anybody get any additional thoughts on Jey Uso's, the Yeet Mania being over with? No. The other big thing that happened on Raw, we saw Nikki Bella make her return. looks like she's going to have a little one-off with Liv. Do we think, Sheen, you're the Bella's expert here. Do we think it's going to be Nikki and Liv one-on-one, are we going to get Brie mode back and have Nikki and Brie going up against Liv and Raquel for the tag belts at Evolution? No, I think it's going to be, I think, I think Nikki's going to be solo, dude. Nikki and Liv's a lot better match. Yeah.
00:18:36
Speaker
Much love to Brie. I don't need to see Brie wrestle again. mean, I'm interested to see Nikki wrestle again. I do not need to see Brie again. Yeah, and sadly, Brie and Raquel are both f freaking ah botch machines, dude. So I feel like that's just a, that's just a bad, bad combo. I'd rather see Nikki grab like one of the like other young newcomers to team with against Liv and Raquel instead of Brie, man. Yeah.
00:18:57
Speaker
That would be kind of interesting dynamic with Bree getting back in the WWE's pocket with Bryan Danielson still kind of firmly with AEW. Yeah, but I mean, you know, you got to make that money in this economy. you know what I mean? Don't turn down a dollar.
00:19:11
Speaker
Jordan, you hype for a Nikki Bella one-off return? No. Not at all. What? Nikki Bella does absolutely nothing for me. How dare. I thought she got really good, man. She did. That last full-time run in 2015, I thought she was getting really, really good before she broke her neck. Yeah, before she broke her freaking neck.
00:19:30
Speaker
Broke her freaking neck. I agree. when she like It was a lot of improvement really right there at the tail end of her career, man. I feel like if she just came out a couple couple years later, I think she would solid because she was definitely like a lot shes lot thick, like more

Nikki Bella's Wrestling Return Debate

00:19:42
Speaker
stocky than a lot of the women. and she she had She had a lot more athleticism than Bree ever did, but unfortunately she was she was victim to coming up in that time when like they weren't doing like you know mud matches, but it was still pretty like Yeah, it was a five minutes a week check in the box. Yeah, it was just it was not good. Mud matches. Yeah.
00:20:00
Speaker
I mean, it's so true. You know, i feel like if if Nikki Bella would have come up with Charlotte Bailey and you know what I mean? And Sasha, I feel like it would have been totally different. What's what's your beef with Nikki Bella, Jordan? Just has never done it for me, man. I just, yeah I never thought she was that great in the ring. I think she's a pretty good...
00:20:17
Speaker
i I think she improved a lot, man. Go back in ka go back and watch some of those matches. Beautiful is not a characteristic for a good women's wrestler. I'm sorry. She's not. I mean, you don't want no freaking boat donkeys out there, bro. mean, dude, if you're good wrestler, you're a good wrestler. I'm not like, oh, God, man. She's the hottest chick ever. Thank God she sucked at wrestling. Bro, I have literally heard you drool through the mic about Rhea Ripley on this podcast. Yeah, but she's also a good wrestler. And Trish.
00:20:42
Speaker
but she's also a good wrestler. Like that's, that's my point. So if Trish looked like a bridge troll, she'd still be like your second or third all time favorite wrestler ever probably. But yeah, I get what you're saying there. i thought it doesn't matter. yeah I mean, as far as wrestling goes, no, it doesn't matter. Like she's not good cause she's gorgeous or anything. She's good. Cause she's a good wrestler. Like I, yeah, I don't think she's good cause she's gorgeous, but i think it, I think her look adds to it, dude. I think being a beautiful lady that can also like go out there and,
00:21:11
Speaker
put on some pretty good power and I'm not saying Nikki is not a beautiful woman, but a great wrestler is a far stretch of what Nikki Bell is. like i would I agree. Great to stretch. I think she's very good. It's an entertaining part of the show Yeah, she was great, especially for her time, dude. I feel like we we're spoiled now because we have just a whole new generation of women that have come up that are just have just exceeded anything that we've ever seen in women's wrestling you know in history. Women's wrestling is also treated way differently now, too. Yes, you can't judge. You literally can't judge Nikki Bella against what you're seeing now. You have to compartmentalize what you what they were dealing with, the competition that they had, who they had and you know in the company, et cetera, et cetera, how much time they were getting each week.

Nikki Bella's not great on the mic. Oh, she's eating another steak. Oh, my God. Not again, dude. Dude, I cannot watch this. For those listening, Mercedes Monet just sat down. This steak somehow looks like it's cooked more well done than the...
00:22:08
Speaker
Than the one from the week prior, man. I don't even know what kind of cut that is, dude. And I am a beef aficionado, dude. They set it under the fire that, julia you know, when Julie Hart's going out, I think they set it under of those blowtorches that they used for her entrance when they were doing rehearsals, man. Oh, my gosh. Just left it on low heat for about five hours, man.
00:22:26
Speaker
I mean, if if they're just trying to make Sasha... Bro, that's beef jerky, dude. That's a slab of beef jerky, dude. Yeah, if they're just trying to make Sasha the biggest heel in the company, they've done a great job. That's what they cooked her steak in, what they just had right there. They just threw it in the fire and just left it there all day. just left it going. Mm-hmm.
00:22:43
Speaker
Alright, so Jordan took a shit on Nikki Bella. I didn't take a shit. She's not my favorite. You took a shit, dude. yes i mean You want to take shit on some other women's wrestlers? like We can just keep this going if you want.
00:22:56
Speaker
What's your thoughts on Julia Hart? I'm a big Julia Hart fan. You gotta tell me she's no good? I mean, she's 100% better than she was a year ago. I will definitely say that. She's she's learning. I'll give her that.
00:23:07
Speaker
The vibe is there, dude. I love her entrance. ah She's a good wrestler, though. yes I'll give you a good wrestler. Good wrestler's fine. She's witchy and like vibey. I just think she started off as a cheerleader. Yeah, she was a cheerleader for the Varsity Blondes. Or what's up that? Well done, Sheena.
00:23:26
Speaker
Pulled that one out, yeah. um Other big things. so well We'll kind of do some bleed over from Raw and and Money in the Bank, man. The big shocking ending Money in the Bank. Our truth is back, man. The crowd made it happen, dude. We took over once again. you know Like Baron Corbin told us back in 2018, we're the we're good creative. you know we're what We're the ones that are in charge. We're the authority.
00:23:47
Speaker
We brought him back. He's back as Ron Killings. He's serious now. You know, got rid of the dreads Monday night. I think we're going to get a new theme song from ah Metro Boomin' for him. You know, I love to see these ah these kind of underappreciated legends kind of have that that late career peak. you know, we saw something a little similar with Mark Henry, right? Mark Henry had the salmon jacket, faked the retirement, and launched his his Hall of Pain run that was really some of the best work he did in ah you know an almost 20-year career in WWE.
00:24:15
Speaker
um I don't know if I'm quite ready to book him to the championship. And a lot of people are saying, let's have him beat Cena. i don't know. What, what, what do you kind of see these next couple months looking like for, for i Ron, the truth killings, Jordan?
00:24:27
Speaker
They gave him the worst shirt of all time. Let's let's start with that, with the killing spree shirt. like Bro, is that really necessary? Come on, man. I don't know. I feel like... I'm not easily i'm not easily offended, but even i even when I saw that, I was like, oof. Come on. I like Truth a lot. I mean, I've always liked him. Oh, look, it's rare. It's rare. It's pink inside. The steak was pink inside. Nice. Okay. but how long is this honestly gonna last like okay he got the feel good stuff back now he's back again like i i don't know i just don't see this lasting very long of like the the crowd just being over with him every time he

R-Truth and John Cena: Redemption Role

00:25:05
Speaker
comes out i just feel like this has a shelf life and it will expire sooner than what it definitely has a shelf life i don't think anybody thought that he's getting resigned to like this like multi-year contract or you know what i mean i think
00:25:17
Speaker
They brought him back because it makes sense because there's nobody in the company that makes more sense to be here than R-Truth for John Cena's last run. Right. Like, I mean, he's been a foundational part of John Cena's, you know, freaking lore. He better not be the person that takes that belt off Cena, dude.
00:25:36
Speaker
i dont i think you I don't think he will. i think the role for him, i think he gives the assist, right? you know, Logan Paul is kind of really kind of aligning as an ally with John Cena. So I think he's kind of there to, again, i'm I'm saying it's Cody, but it could be, there's any number guys that can end up being, taking that belt from Cena. I think Truce, the guy that's kind of on their side, helping them out.
00:25:54
Speaker
Yeah. And I think the real fun thing, dude, or the real moneymaker would be if... art And it would actually be more meaningful than him even winning the championship is if R-Truth is the guy who somehow kind of helps John Cena see the light, right?
00:26:07
Speaker
Brings him back to the good side. And it's like, you know, he's kind of his, you know, spirit guide on the path to redemption with the fans as we head to that last match. I think there's a lot of fun and I think you get a lot of good segments out of that.
00:26:18
Speaker
To me, him win the championship. I know, Jordan, you probably appreciate this a little bit more. sheena It's like when you have like the Cinderella teams in in March Madness, right? Everybody roots for him and until you get to the final four. And it's like, you know, Southwest Missouri School for the Blind going against Duke. And it's like, all right, this game is going to suck. You know, like it's that stuff's kind of fun until you get there.
00:26:37
Speaker
And then it kind of runs out of steam quick. And I think what going look like. You know it'll be, it would definitely be a moment if he wins the belt on a pay-per-view, but what happens the next night on raw? What's the, you know, what's the, you deserve it chance kind of fade off and you got figure out what's next.
00:26:49
Speaker
Yeah. I think they just take it right back off of him. I don't think it's like, I mean, if, if that were to happen, I feel like it's, It's a weekender at best, right? It's like, a you know, 40. He's going to win it on like, you know, SmackDown or Raw or something. And then it's like 48 hours later. He's going to, you know.
00:27:03
Speaker
not Not my WWE championship. yeah I don't want to see it, man. that's That's still the belt that Bruno held. That's the belt that Brett held. Like, it's still got to mean something, man. yeah And that Roman just held for four years then Cody held for a year. Yeah, I don't think it's happening. Given truth, that belt is not it.
00:27:21
Speaker
Yeah. I don't think it's happening, but, you know, never say never. It's cool, though, man. Like said, I'm glad for truth. He's been killing it, man. He is straight up, you know, pardon the pun, but he is he is absolutely killing it with the- He's only killing his brain. Just being to switch. Yeah.
00:27:34
Speaker
Yeah. Just, you know, his command to the crowd. Like, I think this is really, really neat, and I'm glad he's getting this moment. It should be a fun ride. Money in the Bank. Let's go to it. What did you guys think? I was sports entertained by Money in Bank. Yeah, it was good.
00:27:47
Speaker
I thought it was a really fun night, man. I was shocked that we didn't get any

Jacob's Rise in WWE Popularity

00:27:50
Speaker
sort. I mean, I guess with the R-Truth finished, it took it away. I feel like there was a script floating around out there where where we got some sort of Seth Rollins shenanigans to close the show as opposed to R-Truth running in.
00:27:59
Speaker
Yeah. The best part of that match was definitely the Jacob and Solo thing, though. Jacob is a star. We needed that. I did not know they were going to pull that there. I knew they were going to tease it, but that was the moment of the night for me.
00:28:12
Speaker
It was awesome. man yeah i feel like that Yeah, I feel like Jacob's kind of right there on equal footing with Seth Rollins as the two most like major players coming out of that match. like jake ah yeah he I mean, who's more over babyface than him right now? and he's I feel like he's right there with Jay and Cody for like number one babyface. People just love him, dude. He's got this... like Marshawn Lynch vibe where it's like he's he's laid back and cool as hell, but he's also got this just absolute savage like warrior energy right underneath the surface at

Jacob Fatu's Influence and Future

00:28:40
Speaker
all times, man. He's just yeah the coolest, dude. he's And it's it seems super authentic, right? like It doesn't seem like he's out there trying to play a character. it doesn't seem like he's not saying Yeet 55,000 times like Jey Uso is out nowhere. He's just being himself, man. Kind of the same guy he's been since he showed up.
00:28:55
Speaker
ah Yeah, I think it's cool as hell, dude. I cannot wait. Like just what a freaking jackpot of a signing for them out of all the guys we've seen going to both companies last couple years, man. Yeah, you will. I'll spray to AW and Jacob Fatu to to WWE. I think I've definitely been the two most impactful.
00:29:10
Speaker
yeah the Yeah, the Samoan werewolf shimmy is one of my favorite things, dude. Like, it's just when he gets going and starts doing, like, the shoulders and the arms and, like, oh, yeah, I'm just like... All gas, no brakes.
00:29:21
Speaker
All gas, no brakes, yeah. I think he's a strong candidate to get the... to win the rumble and get a shot at the belt, man. You know, I don't know how, what the championship pictures is look like going into mania next year, but I think it's a very good shot that he's, he's, you know, potentially main eventing one of the nights of WrestleMania. That's, that's how it just super duper star he is. yeah Yeah. I was listening to something earlier and it was like, you know the, ah the other, the only other contender that was even being talked about to win money in the bank was, uh, Jacob.
00:29:49
Speaker
you know, like if ah Seth didn't win. It would have been, they would have set it up for Jacob to win Yeah. Jacob would have been fun with it, man. That would have been pretty cool. Um, Yeah, but I feel like he doesn't even need it, dude. I don't want his first title run coming off of Cashin, dude. I want want him pinning somebody's shoulders flat. straight Yeah, i'm I'm glad with the outcome. I'm glad Seth got it, dude. I think it's just going to make for a really fun, you know.
00:30:10
Speaker
Somebody else, dude, I'll give Solo props to it. I thought Solo was solid gold in that match. Making fun of Penta and stuff, just all their thing. The fact that we had like two and a half years of Solo is just like a stone cold silent enforcer's criminal because he's like he's hilarious,

Solo's Comedic Wrestling Role

00:30:24
Speaker
dude. He is funny.
00:30:25
Speaker
He is great as a goofball heel. Yeah. Well, when he finally leaned into that, that's when it was like, okay, this is what you need to be doing, dude. Don't try to be the cool guy. Be the you want to be, man. Yeah. He is funny, though.
00:30:39
Speaker
that the kid, Jill? hey I think so. um Jordan, what did you think of the women's money in the bank? I'd like to point out that I was the only one last Wednesday that said Naomi was going to win that match. there You two were not for it at all. and yeah yeah I didn't think it was going to happen. ended up picking her to win. You sold me on show. I didn't really think about it, but you made an absolutely outstanding case again.
00:31:01
Speaker
I strongly suspect that there's someone within the company that listens to this show. Because, yeah, you laid it out, and then, yeah, it made a ton of sense. But I didn't see the signs prior to you kind of breathing life into it, man. I didn't see the signs. But, yeah, you made a great case, and it was an awesome moment when she finally got the briefcase. Yeah, it was funny because, you know, you sold me, too. And so I bought into the hype, and I picked Naomi for my picks. And then it was like there was a period of time right before. mean, it was literally like five minutes before she got. It wasn't five. It was three minutes before she

Chad Gable's Standout Performances

00:31:30
Speaker
got.
00:31:30
Speaker
because i saw you put the comment and i was like what a weird comment so i wrote the comment because naomi was just like taking a nap dude this is in our uh our facebook group live threads yeah and you know we got ria up there you got like everybody up i was like oh my god i said i knew i should not have bought into the hype dude i said i knew naomi didn't have a chance to win this and then it was literally three minutes later i said this comment didn't age very well That's usually my that's usually my my input in the group.
00:31:58
Speaker
Oh, God, this s match is horrible. and then it goes on like a five minute run of just nothing but banger moves. And you're like, oh, whoops. <unk> I think MVP for the weekend, man, if it's not our truth, then think it's got to go Chad Gable, man. Put on an absolute banger of a match. Him and Vikingo went crazy in the main event.
00:32:14
Speaker
a Worlds Collide. And that spot where a Knight ran up the ladder and hit him with that kind of like running back suplex. That was that's like I'm going remember that spot for a long time. That shit was just it was so clean and impactful, like really, really cool move. And yeah, I'm glad to see Chad Gable finally getting you know all the love and attention he deserves because he's such a tremendous performer.
00:32:33
Speaker
yeah you've been on the uh chad gable way and for a long time no i thought they should have pushed him as the next kurt angle back in this even go back to the american alpha days in 2015 nxt he's been a he's been in the company for a decade now there's only that's pretty wild there's only one mvp from the weekend and it's mr iguana let's let's call it what it is he made himself a lot of money this weekend dude just instant charisma man like uh don't know if it's just hand yeah The Luchas, man. like You never really know how accurate some of the

Mr. Iguana's Fan Appeal

00:33:02
Speaker
info is. he He was on a podcast, somebody's radio show today, saying that they're actually talking about him going straight to the main roster and not even going to NXT. But it sounds like he is going to be spending a lot of time north of the border in either NXT or Raw or SmackDown.
00:33:16
Speaker
And his days in AAA may be numbered because he is just, you know... Got over like Rover instantly with the crowd, with the live crowd there and the the TV audience. I know everybody in the Facebook group was just going nuts over the this the whole act and presentation and stuff.
00:33:30
Speaker
And it's funny because, to be honest, I wasn't familiar with him at all. But kind of reading up on him, he's like despised by AAA fans. Like the way we talk about like The Miz and stuff is the way they talk about Mr. Iguana down in AAA. So it's just the difference in audiences, man. They hate him down there.
00:33:44
Speaker
like he's I don't know. Hate's probably a strong word, but they just think he's like, you know, goofy. Like, why is this guy on our program? uh down there but yeah he he made himself a lot of money yes for sure in like three weeks there'll be 8 000 iguana hand puppets in the audience on a raw or something i didn't already just picture it now That'd be great. I love it. You already know that they're making those things for merch, dude. Those are going to be all over the merch stand. Yeah, those made. You get over with the kids, your money, and both love My other friend, Alex Eubanks, he said his kids were loving Mr. Iguana.
00:34:15
Speaker
Yeah, he's a pretty pretty cool act, man. I thought AAA presented itself really, really well. They kind of... WWE flavor AAA, I guess we call it. But I thought all the performers they showed, you know they looked like they belonged. It didn't look like it was some sort of like minor league show or something. i was really happy with with Worlds Collide. thought it was a fun afternoon of wrestling. It was a really good show.
00:34:34
Speaker
they They definitely did a great job. I had an iguana as a pit when I was a kid. Tell us about it. His name was Elvis. Of course it was. Yeah, so, um yeah, that's it. That's pretty much it. They don't make very good pets, dude. Well, mine wasn't a very good pet. He was a smaller iguana, and every time you'd go to pick him up, his ass would, he would swap you with his tail, and it would hurt like hell. So, yeah.
00:34:56
Speaker
What a hard one. What a hard No, I have none. All right, Sheen, we any listener mail? Yep.
00:35:14
Speaker
Our buddy Johnny JB, did you ever have aspirations to become a pro wrestler? If so, what happened? When I was younger, I saved money to go to wrestling school at Killer Kowalski's. But after 9-11, I joined the Marines and those plans were scrapped, LOL.
00:35:27
Speaker
Um, no, I didn't have any aspirations to be, to be a pro wrestler. Honestly. Um, you know I enjoy watching pro wrestling growing up and, you know, obviously I enjoy it now. it just, it always seemed like it was going to be too much, especially when I was growing up, you know, the women weren't really taken seriously. Right. And then there was like China who I was scared of as a kid. I was like, dang, China. Like, i didn't want to be like China, you know?
00:35:49
Speaker
Uh, but now, you know, i'm in this in ring thing, it's here. here It doesn't matter. Yeah. Mercedes and Tony, this is just, this is a preview of what we're going to get at a all in. then ah They're trying to go for like weird, like sexual tension type stuff, but it's just, I don't think Sasha is a good enough, like arab Mercedes is a good enough actor to kind like pull it off. You know, she's good when the bell rings. Just let her make a ah cool entrance and let the bell ring call it a day.
00:36:18
Speaker
um Yeah, dude, for me, i i mean, obviously I would absolutely love to be a wrestler. It'd be incredible. But it was one, it wasn't super accessible back then as it is now. And and I was always a realist, man. I kind of realized, you know, early in my teenage years, like I'm probably topping out at like five, eight, five, nine, you know, 165 pounds on the the size scale. And I just kind of gave up. Yeah. I kind of just, uh, I, I just never, I kind of gave up on being like any sort of pro athlete, man. I just, you know, wasn't, I wasn't go try to like Muggsy Bogues it or nothing.
00:36:49
Speaker
Uh, how about you, George, you ever, ever have any serious aspirations to be a pro wrestler? I mean, we had like a backyard wrestling league going on at Tony Barker's grandma's house. And, uh, we're getting pretty serious.
00:37:01
Speaker
I need to see some photos from back then. don't think we have. I'll have to ask Tony if there's any photos, but like anytime like we'd get like a TV box or anything like that, somebody was going through that right before the pay-per-view.
00:37:12
Speaker
What was your gimmick name? Didn't have one. I was just Jordan. Oh, you wasn't like the Husky stud? You don't need a gimmick. The Husky stud. You don't need a gimmick when you're six three and 300 pounds. That is your gimmick.
00:37:24
Speaker
That was his old email, dude. It used to be Husky Stud. It is my email. I just have never changed Oh, my gosh. The Husky Stud. think it's funny because it's like for the Huskers, but think about like he's, you know, he's the Husky Stud. He's the Husky Stud. The Husky Stud. Jordan Wells. I also was a Northwest Husky, so that's why my email was that in high school.
00:37:43
Speaker
the The Husky Stud would be a killer wrestling game, I think. Like a big guy heartthrob. Yeah. husky stu I'm going to launch my career at 40. Let's see how it goes. Yeah. The Husky Stud. Yeah. Go for it. Careers are getting extended nowadays. I mean, you're you're basically a baby. You're in your prime, dude.
00:38:00
Speaker
Yeah. Get in there. In my prime. My legs hurt after I get done mowing the grass. Yeah. This should go well. Chris Foreman, what are your thoughts on the AAA

AAA and TKO Partnership Speculations

00:38:10
Speaker
acquisition? And do you feel like the TKO backing will be able to elevate the product?
00:38:14
Speaker
Or is it just a play to scoop up something before Tony Khan can? I don't think that. I think Tony Khan's in bed with CMLL. You know, that's AEW seems like they got a really good thing going with CMLL. If you're ah at all a Ring of Honor fan, Ring of Honor has basically turned into a hybrid Lucha show over the last year and a half. So I don't think that the tony quan Tony Khan is not...
00:38:35
Speaker
ah factor I think it's definitely given AAA a bigger platform. And, you know, I know for most wrestling fans, if you haven't stayed up big on the Mexican scene, like you probably still might think that like AAA is what it was in the nineties, early two thousands when it was the w WWE of Mexican wrestling. But CMLL has really kind of lapped it in the last, last 10 years or so. So it was definitely kind of been down. I'd say it's closer to like the Mexican version of like a TNA and then a Mexican version of WWE that they acquired.
00:39:01
Speaker
Yeah. It's giving them a better platform. You know, we'll see if it, if they totally, you know, TKO eyes it or if it's still kind of stays true to it roots. But i think they're go to have a, they're definitely going to have more of an opportunity to be successful than they've had prior to, to TKO WWE buying it.
00:39:14
Speaker
Yeah. There was no, ah there was no branding on anything at, ah at worlds collide. Yeah. i was wondering you know, where's like the Takiza, you know, some Adelo signs, something, man. Yeah. Jordan, what do what do you think, man? You're a lot more into the international scene than I am, dude. What, what do you see longterm for this partnership? Um,
00:39:31
Speaker
if If we get even two shows like we got on Saturday twice a year, if we get two shows like that a year, I'd i'd be completely fine with it. I just don't know, like... i don't know I don't know how you would expand AAA. They had to put that show on YouTube and a lot of people didn't even know it was on YouTube.
00:39:51
Speaker
i just I don't know how you expand AAA wrestling. and i will give Tony Khan a little bit of credit. I feel like they were they were trying to do business with way too many companies at one point.
00:40:02
Speaker
And I feel like it really took away from the product because there was like 90 wrestlers from four different companies that were trying to come in and get screen time. And I just felt like it really muffled up AEW. So hopefully AAA stays its own thing. And like I said, if we get two shows a year like we got on Saturday, I think everybody would be pretty happy. Agreed.
00:40:23
Speaker
ah Tony also, he asked us about ah Mr. Iguana, but we talked about Mr. Iguana or we're all fans. um You know, the kids will definitely be getting little Mr. Iguana puppets if ah if those if those come to be. oh they're going to be.
00:40:37
Speaker
If Tony says, if you could travel internationally to watch wrestling, where would you go? gay got be going New Japan to to Wrestle Kingdom. I'd love to go to Japan anyways. just Thank God you said that. I like the Japan vibe and just the food scene. That'd be great. And Wrestle Kingdom's obviously probably, I'd say even more than AWL win. I think Wrestle Kingdom's probably the closest thing you can get to a WrestleMania show that's not WrestleMania.
00:40:59
Speaker
Thank God you said Presentation, pageantry, everything. I was really worried you were going to say like a w WWE international show. Like, no the answer is can't stand the WWE international crowd. The other thing about the Japanese crowd, they don't they don't feel the need to chant nonstop. I kind of like, like, let's let the wrestlers do their thing, dude.
00:41:15
Speaker
See, i was thinking it' I took Tony's question as not WWE. wwe like If you were going to go watch like you know Mexican wrestling or Japanese wrestling, you know what I mean? like I was thinking i mean i mean a UK show would be fun. It would be fun to go to like a UK Raw or something, dude, UK pay-per-view, but I'd still i i'd want to do something totally different. Seeing a show at the Tokyo Dome would just be special, I feel like. i mean There's so much history there, too. and Yeah, that would feel like a real like bucket list wrestling event item type thing, man, to go to WrestleKingdom.
00:41:44
Speaker
I agree. I feel like that's probably cheaper than WrestleMania at this point. Bro, you ain't playing, dude. Yeah, you could travel to WrestleKingdom and like do the whole experience for what you would pay to like have a WrestleMania weekend here in the States. Dude, I have a friend who, I mean, this is like totally off topic, but just just to show you how crazy ticket prices are in America.
00:42:02
Speaker
you know She lives in Louisville, and um Taylor Swift was playing in Indianapolis. It was cheaper for her to go to Europe She went to Europe to see Taylor Swift. She went and took her, you know, i mean, she ended up paying a little bit like more because they stayed in Europe for a little while because they were just like, we're going to explore.
00:42:18
Speaker
But just like the concert experience, her hotel, her flight, all the travel, everything, concert tickets, she paid less than what she would have paid to go to freaking Indianapolis from Louisville. That's funny you say that because one of Zoe's friends went to Germany to see Taylor Swift. So, yeah, that's insane to me that you have to fly across the world to go see someone for cheaper than you could see them two hours or whatever, five hours from where you live.
00:42:42
Speaker
Yeah, it's absolutely unhinged. But, um yeah, that's so definitely something to think about. You know, you could get some international travel, still see wrestling and save some money, you know. Let's see what our next question is.

Wrestling Puppets: A Light-hearted Gimmick

00:42:56
Speaker
Phil Dunnett, speaking of Across the Pond, if you ah were going to be a gimmick wrestler like Mr. Iguana, what would your puppet be? said he would use Seth and put his hand up. but he's really He's really into the bum talk lately. Seth's bum, too. Yeah, he's all about Seth's bum lately. I'm not even dignifying this question with an answer. I'll let you guys handle know this one.
00:43:18
Speaker
I don't know. What would your puppet be, Jordan? Jordan? ah i I don't know. I never really thought of this question. What a weird question for Phil to ask.
00:43:28
Speaker
I'm picturing Jordan like a big talking corn cob. That would be cool. Yeah. yeah i mean, why not? yeah and you could just And you could just threaten to shove the corn cob up people's butt. All right. Now we're leaning into Phil Dunnett way too much.
00:43:42
Speaker
um I think I would probably have a ah a rooster, you know? a cock on your hand, that would fit. Just hand cock. As soon as I said rooster, I knew one of you guys were going to make ah a cock joke. But yeah, some sort of chicken, but yeah, probably a rooster. ah Tyson Neal Trevino. I know you probably talk about it, but I wanted to ask your ah your thoughts on Blake Monroe slash Mariah where i May. Yeah, we covered that.
00:44:07
Speaker
um Tom Montalto, you've got a one-way ticket to any Toy Island history. What year are you landing in and what are you stocking up on? My investor brain is saying like 88, 89 LJN, like towards the end of the LJN run when the distribution got really bad.
00:44:25
Speaker
Stocking up on some of those, like some black card LJN figures to sell. But like the my wrestling figure heart, I'm going like 1997, Like the... That was my favorite year. The Jax line really started taking off around like when like, series you know, basically like series one through like series five.
00:44:41
Speaker
Jax BCAs all on the shelf at the same time. The monster ring is there. The minis are there. So I'm hitting Toys R Us like late. I'm hitting Toys R Us in like fall of 97.
00:44:52
Speaker
i'm I'm going to hit it. I'm going to hit Toys R Us at a like 1979, 1980. And I'm going to scoop up all those original Star Wars toys, dude. I'm going to keep them well the mint in box, dude, and travel back to the future and then ah sell those suckers. So, you know, my investor brain is thinking on this.
00:45:11
Speaker
I'm not going to go investor brain. I'm going to go just the the most joy I've ever had going down a toy aisle was early 90s when Hasbro's were on the shelf. I just I remember going going to KB toy stores and stuff and Toys R Us and just seeing those on the shelf every time you walked in. Like it just I don't think anything will ever feel the same way as it did when you were a kid and you walked down the aisles and saw the Hasbro's just lined up ready for you to purchase. It just I don't think you could ever get that feeling again.
00:45:40
Speaker
I miss the smell of Toys R Us, man. and They almost had exact same, like kind of like industrial, like new plastic smell. was tremendous. if i I guess if I put my investor hat on, I would go back when ah Seth bought the J Strongbone, bought all those, and then sold them after the fact instead of like two days later. Yeah, so random. A lady ah got them off a random pallet from a Walmart overstock place. Yeah.
00:46:05
Speaker
98 would be good to go get like a you know ah a boatload of like pokemon cards dude like know that's smart too yeah load up on the pokemon cards yeah that's a good one dude yeah i think go back to i don't think toys rs don't know if toys rs even a thing but like when the original kenner star wars line is out and stock up on all those that's what mean yeah a bunch of moc star wars stuff uh ah Any matches you're hoping to see for evolution too. That's from Eric Yazzie.
00:46:32
Speaker
Uh, I mentioned to see where, you know, Mariah, Blake Monroe, May, who she debuts against. Um, other than that, dude, I don't, I don't know. I'm, there's not like There's not like a money match on the women's side of things that I'm like, just you know, can't wait to see. Is Nikki going to be in ah Evolution? Yeah.
00:46:49
Speaker
She's wrestling Liv. Yeah, I think it's just a matter of if it's her against Liv or her and Brie against Liv. Dude. would you guys What's the money match I'm missing? I think Rhea and Stephanie of a core has to happen at that show, dude. That'd be cool. Yeah. Just straight up you one off, no belts.
00:47:03
Speaker
Like, let's see who the baddest bitch is. Yeah. I feel like. Because they had a moment at Money in the Bank. I think that'd be perfect way to cash in on it. Yeah, dude. I feel like that match has to happen. Like, it's just, I mean, I'm not saying either one of them is going anywhere anytime soon, but just, those are two of the most over women and they don't need to have a title attached to it at all.
00:47:21
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. Um, Eric also says, were you surprised that there wasn't an attempted cash end in during Jay and Gunther? Yes, I was. Yeah, I was fully, I did not think Jay was, I thought there was a chance Jay wasn't leaving with the belt, but I thought for sure it would involve either cash in or some sort of failed cash in that hands the victory to Gunther. So yeah, I thought for sure we were getting some sort of Seth related activity.
00:47:42
Speaker
The fact that Gunther was winning it, leads me to think that we're going see Seth walking around that briefcase for a while. Cause I don't see Sina getting cashed in on, um, and I don't see Gunther either, dude. So I think it's going to be either, you know,
00:47:53
Speaker
and think we're I going to get some sort of mid-match cash in on whoever Gunther's next big challenger is, or, uh, or like we mentioned earlier, you know, maybe somebody like Sammy Zane was the belt and Seth cashes in shortly after.
00:48:03
Speaker
Was I just having a fever dream or did they, did I read somewhere that, um, triple H said that they can, you can cash in for the tag title belts. They made make sure they did make sure to mention that you can cash in for any belt you want. I think that was more geared for the women's side of things.
00:48:20
Speaker
Um, I think maybe just to make it clear, but Seth ain't cashed in for anything less than one championship. Well, don't think so. But when we were just talking about this, I was remembering it. I was like, maybe I just drew that. But they've never really made it a point of emphasis before. They definitely mentioned that several times on the pre-show and during the broadcast that you could cash in for any championship, any time.
00:48:39
Speaker
Yeah, I could see Naomi because unfortunately, you know, with the women going, you know, seven for seven at this point, I feel like we're set up for a failed cash in. Yeah, they've definitely been hammered that home. And I could totally see Naomi failing to cash in. Like imagine somebody like Jade's about to win the belt and Naomi goes to cash in.
00:48:54
Speaker
comes up short. You know, when they kept hammering home that you get challenged for any championship, anytime, I was really thinking like, dude, they're going to screw Seth over again. And Grande Americano is going to win this. We can cash in on the triple a championship at, you know, triple a mania is coming up. Like that's their big show of the year. I could just, that that would be a pretty cool moment. Grande Americano cashing in at triple mania, but obviously they, Seth got the briefcase back.
00:49:17
Speaker
Yeah. ah Chris Chiara says, what, do you like or not like about the new Mario Kart? I mean, it's fun, dude, but it's like, if I squinted, i wouldn't be sure if I was playing, you know, which of the last four Mario Kart games it is.
00:49:33
Speaker
Have you played it? here Have you played the new Mario Kart yet, Jordan? I have not. Yeah, it's it's, you know, if you love Mario Kart, you're going to love it, but it's not, there's no like crazy features, man. It's, again, I would i would be really hard pressed to tell you what's different between it and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Did we have the Switch 2 last time when we recorded?
00:49:52
Speaker
Uh, no, I think I may have got it the day after. Yeah. yeah I managed to, a quick review. so I totally botched the pre-order man. I thought I didn't think it'd be as hard as it was to get, um, a pre-order online for the switch too and failed. And it, you know, my son, he's obviously a big time gamer.
00:50:06
Speaker
It was really one, one. It kind of lined up for his birthday. Um, but I lucked out, man. I hit the, the Walmart, uh, by where I work at first thing in the morning and they had two left on the shelf. It's weird. It seems like some places are people camping out, um, at, you know, at midnight to get this thing. And then there was a lot of places where you had, you know, half a dozen, switches just on the shelf waiting people to pick them up. So I think the stock was kind of all over the place. The shelves are bare now. Are you have you, are you seeing any on the shelves now in Omaha? Cause they're, they're pit clean here in Tennessee. A couple of days later, Jordan. No, there, there's been nothing on the shelves ever since that day. So. Yeah.
00:50:39
Speaker
And we really wanted get it for his birthday, dude. But the tricky thing with these systems, if you've been a video game fan, you really got to try to get on that first wave because sometimes it could be, you know, three, four months before the second wave comes in. Especially now. You know, and I think Nintendo did a good job of having plenty of systems available. It wasn't nearly as difficult as it was getting an Xbox Series X or a PS5 back when those dropped in 2020. But yeah.
00:51:02
Speaker
but But yeah, you know you could end up waiting you know a couple a few months ah to get that second wave, and we didn't have a whole lot of time to play around before Brett turns eight. Yeah. Cool device, though. pretty Pretty cool. I think it's definitely more of an evolution than a revolution, but it is a pretty neat system.
00:51:18
Speaker
It feels... mean, the weight of it is really nice. It's a lot nicer, yeah. Yeah, the quality of the build is a lot nicer. The screen is... It's significantly bigger. The screen is significantly bigger. Yeah. um But yeah, it's really neat. And our daughter our daughter inherited the original yeah Switch. So, you know, we're that thing is still going.
