All right, let's dive in. Why can't you break your bad habits? No matter what you do, what you try. For some reason, the one thing that you want to stop doing, you can't stop doing. Why is that? Well, first and foremost, your habits, your good and bad habits are actions that happen unconsciously, which means you're not actually choosing to do these

The Subconscious Mind's Role in Habit Formation

actions. They are happening unconsciously and the reason why this is, is because all of your habits are rooted in your subconscious mind and 90% of everything you do is happening unconsciously. Only 10% of the actions you're taking, you are consciously choosing to take them. That's right, 90% of everything you're doing

happens without you even realizing it, without you needing to think about it, without you needing to put effort and action into it. You just act on repeat. You just act on autopilot.

This is your subconscious mind at work, okay? And if you ever wondered how you got home, but you didn't need to think about it, you just knew the way. In fact, the whole ride home to your house, you were thinking about other things, but somehow you ended up in your driveway. This is habitual patterns. This is the work of your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind learns what it needs to learn so that you can just operate without needing to think about it.

And this is why you can't break your bad habits, because these habits that you don't want to keep, the good and the bad ones, in fact, have been printed and programmed into your subconscious mind for years and years through the power of repetition. And because you've repeated these same patterns over and over again for so many years, they have become habits, they have become unconscious patterns that just play out, even though you don't want them to, even though you are taking conscious efforts and doing intervention tactics to change some of these bad habits. You find yourself right back to where you started. You may read a book. You may try a new strategy. You may do lots and lots of things to break a bad habit, but you keep doing it eventually. You keep circling back to it.

Eventually and this is because unless you are reprogramming this habit at the subconscious level of your mind you're going to find yourself back in that cycle over and over again because your subconscious mind again is in charge of ninety percent of everything that you are doing every single day.

And it's operating unconsciously in the background, which means again, you're not consciously thinking about doing this thing. But your subconscious mind has a pattern has a habit that it needs to repeat because this is how you've programmed yourself to operate and you may have programmed yourself to operate in this way since you were a little kid.

Methods for Habit Change: Conscious and Subconscious

right so These programs and patterns, they're hardwired into your being, into your subconscious mind. so The reason why you cannot break your bad habits is because you're taking a conscious effort to break that habit.

but you're not actually taking a subconscious effort to break that habit. So what would it mean to take a conscious effort? It means I just think I want to change something. So what would be a subconscious effort? Taking subconscious effort would be doing the inner work, reprogramming your subconscious mind through the power of hypnosis and hypnotherapy,

is one of the most profound ways to break a bad habit. Conscious effort is saying, I want to lose weight, so I am choosing to change my eating patterns. But you haven't quite gotten to the root of why you overeat.

And because you haven't gotten to the root of why you overeat, the subconscious programming in your mind still knows you to be an overeater. So no matter if you have this conscious effort, this thought in your mind that I want to eat better, I want to stop overeating, your subconscious mind still knows you to be an overeater. Your subconscious mind has learned this pattern. And this has become the way that you operate because of that. So to actually change your eating patterns, yes, you want to take conscious effort and buy healthier food. and create new habits on a conscious level. But unless you get to the root of why you were overeating in the first place, you're likely going to find yourself back in a cycle of overeating. Eventually, it's the same thing with money patterns. It's the same thing with relationship patterns.

These cycles repeat unless you get to the subconscious root of why you were actually taking that action. The cycles repeat unless you get to the root of why you were, in fact, having that bad habit to begin with. So we want to get to the root. We want to heal it. We want to clear it out.

at the subconscious level of your mind. And once you do that, then you can take all the conscious effort and it's going to help you eliminate that bad habit. But the subconscious comes first because 90% of everything you're doing every single day happens, unconsciously happens through the programming and power of your subconscious mind. So to really shift or change anything in your life,

Of course, you want to have a goal on a conscious level. You want to say and and know what you want, but you have to change it at the subconscious level or else it won't actually change. Okay. So that's why it's so hard to break your bad habits because you have a subconscious mind and whether you realize it or not, that subconscious mind is operating behind the scenes.

Some call it the inner mind because the subconscious mind is operating within you without you even realizing it. And you can take charge of your subconscious by intentionally rewiring and reprogramming your subconscious mind for the habits that you actually want to have. right So you can program the new habits right into your subconscious and that is when you will actually begin to Do them. Just saying you want to do it is not enough. You have to program your subconscious because the reason why you have this bad habit is so hardwired into you, is so deeply rooted into you. It's not enough to just say, I want to change something. You have to do the deep inner work.

You have to clear it out. You have to heal it. You have to rewire it at the subconscious. So that's why it's so hard to break bad habits. It's not because you suck. It's not because you're meant to have this habit. It's not because it's in your DNA or it's in your family bloodline. It's because it's in your subconscious. So if you want to shift a bad habit, if you want to change a bad habit, of course you need to take conscious action and replace it with a new habit, a new healthier habit.

but you also need to rewire your subconscious so that your subconscious is on board with this new programming so your subconscious can actually feel that it is safe and possible for you to have this new habit. right So this is the key. It is rewiring your subconscious mind.

So stop beating yourself up. Stop thinking you're unworthy. Stop thinking you're just destined to have this habit for life, whatever it is, whether it's a money pattern, whether it's a relationship pattern, and whether it's an eating pattern, whatever it is, right? And these patterns can be physical or emotional, right?

There's many, many patterns that we as human beings have in our lives, physical, mental, emotional, spiritually, that repeat every single day. So whatever this is for you, just know you're not destined for it. And it's not because you suck. It's because you're doing the wrong type of work. You need to do the subconscious work to actually get rid of it, to heal it, to eliminate it for good.

So how can you do this?

The Power of Hypnotherapy

The best and most effective way to rewire a bad habit is through hypnotherapy. And because these habits are so specific to you, it is more effective to rewire a habit with a one-on-one hypnotherapist because you can get to the root of something much faster by working with someone who knows you specifically, who has learned the patterns and the habits that you're having on a deeper level before doing a session with you.

ah So working with the hypnotherapist one on one is the most effective way to quickly eliminate a bad habit. And you can do this very, very quickly with hypnotherapy. In fact, many of the clients that I work with, we can eliminate bad habits in just one to two, maybe three sessions, depending on how deeply rooted it is. And that's because through hypnotherapy, you have direct access to your subconscious mind. And when you have direct access to your subconscious mind, you can program and literally imprint whatever programming you want to be in there. And once you change the programming, the actions in your life start to change quickly, start to change right away, all right?
