How to become more mindful. The top two ways that you can bring more mindfulness into your daily reality. Mindfulness is one of my favorite topics to talk and teach about, especially when it comes to programming it into your subconscious, because i truly believe that the more mindful you are, the more mindful I am, the better world that we are creating, the better world

That you're creating for others and for yourself. The more mindful you are, the better you're going to feel every day, the better your relationships are going to be, the more money you're going to make, the more creative energy you're going to feel, the more inspiration you're going to be able to tap into.

And mindfulness has become almost like a buzzword in the mindset industry, but it's an age-old teaching. Mindfulness is rooted in Buddhist psychology, which I studied in the Himalayan mountains with Buddhist lamas. So I have a very strong background in mindfulness and Buddhist psychology, which is essentially the study of the human mind, how our minds work, how we show up in the world.

And the topic of mindfulness, there's so much out there that you can learn, but it's quite literally the hardest thing for you to master. and the reason why it's the hardest thing for you to master is because it's the most important thing for you to master.

The more mindful you are, the better you are literally going to be at everything in your are life. This is why it is so, so important. And it's also why it's so, so hard And mindfulness is a practice.

It is something you must practice and tap into every single day as often as you can throughout your day. This is not something that you can just do once a week.

Mindfulness is a daily practice. It is something you come home to every single day. And the more you do it the more mindful you're naturally going to be.

So in the beginning, when I first started really practicing mindfulness, it was really important for me to stop many, many times throughout the day. Like I am talking every hour, alarms going off in my phone, reminding me to stop and come back to the present moment because it is so hard.

Challenges and Strategies for Mindfulness

so hard to be present? Because we live in a very, very busy world. If you're an entrepreneur, you have roles and responsibilities coming at you all day, every day. If you're a parent, you have roles and responsibilities coming at you all day, every day. in fact, if you're a human being, you have roles and responsibilities coming at you all day, every day. There is an endless to-do list before you every day, not to mention all of the distractions and chaos of the daily life we live in.

There's chaos in the news. There's chaos around you everywhere. In fact, I invite you to not watch the news. If something happens that you really need to see, you will know about it. Most of the time, the news just brings down your energy vibration.

So I invite you to actually turn off the news. It's less chaos. You have enough chaos in your life that you deal with every single day. You don't need to see what's happening in the news. And again, If something bad enough happens that you need to know that really affects you, someone will tell you and you will hear about it.

So I invite you to not watch the news because it's going to take you out of the present moment and it's going to bring you in other people's lives instead of being in your own life, which brings me to the topic of social media because this is another reason why it is so hard to be present because you're in a news feed that moves very, very quickly And you're always looking at other people's lives, which makes you feel bad about your own because you're watching someone else's highlight reel.

So less social media, less news, unless your social media is filled with empowering content, like the content you're watching right now, then that's fine. Scroll and just that.

But of course, like put your phone down and go live your life with the people you love. Go do something outside. Go do something in your physical reality. Life is not meant to be lived through a screen 24-7.

So less news, less social media, more in the here and now because this is where your life is happening. Life is right here in this moment. It is the beauty of being outside. it is the beauty of enjoying the people that you love, but you can't enjoy the outdoors. You can't enjoy the hobbies you love, the people you love, if you're constantly thinking about the future or if you're constantly thinking about the past.

And that is the number one reason why you can't be present. Because you're so busy, because there's so much chaos, you're either thinking about the future or you're thinking about the past.

24 seven, majority of the time you are either thinking about the future or thinking about the past, you are not in the present moment. You are not feeling the energy of the present moment.

And it's quite literally the most important moment. It's the moment that's real. The past is gone. The future hasn't happened yet. And you don't even know if that future will happen.

You especially don't know if it's going to happen the way that you're thinking of it. So most of the time when you're thinking about the future, you're worrying and stressing about things that have not happened yet or will never happen.

So it's really important to stay grounded in the here and now. And a beautiful mantra that I'd love to share with you here is repeat to yourself, I am here.

And what that does is it reminds yourself, it reminds your subconscious mind that you're here. And it also invites you into the here and now. you can write that down, the mantra, I am here. That is a beautiful way to bring yourself back to the present moment.

And again, it's going to power every single area of your life, of your business, of your relationships to be in the here and now.

Personal Transformation Through Mindfulness

And it's life-changing work. If I look back on myself before i started doing this work, becoming more mindful, really embodying presence, I was a totally different person.

i was so stressed out. I was so anxious. I was so worried about all the wrong things every day. Instead of just being in the here and now, And I'm so grateful that I did this work because now i have a one-year-old daughter who I get to be present with because I'm a present mindful person because I've trained my subconscious to want to be present, to want to be mindful.

When I'm taking care of her, when I'm spending time with her, I'm not thinking about all the things I need to do next or all the things that happened yesterday. I am with her, looking into her beautiful blue eyes, watching her smile, and just being in the moment with her.

Same thing goes when I'm with my husband. I get to really enjoy his presence. My mom, my sisters, being present is the greatest gift that you can give to your family members, to the people you love.

And it's energy that they feel because you know when someone's not present how it feels for you on the other end. It doesn't feel good. And you also know when someone's really there with you how it feels for you on the other end.

It feels soul-filling. It feels warm. It feels... like purpose. It feels like passion to really feel like you're there with somebody. And it's so important.

So here are the two ways that you can bring more mindfulness into your daily life. And now I already shared the first one and how I started to do this. Set alarms in your phone that go off every hour of the day. I know it may sound a little bit excessive because it is.

Because life is happening hour by hour. And if you're not present in it where are you? You probably don't even know where you are half the time. You're lost in the past or in the future. I know where you are.

You're either in the past or in the future. You're not here. And what these alarms will do, and let them be like warm, loving alarms. You don't need to set off like the good morning alarm clock that goes off every day.

Like a nice soft like ding or a, you know, a Tibetan bowl will sound really beautiful or a Tibetan prayer bowl gong going off out of your phone.

Or it could just be a vibration that your cell phone sends off. And the reason why using your cell phone is a really good idea is because you always have your cell phone. Your cell phone is always in your hand.

So if your cell phone is this big distraction device, you might as well try to use it to bring you more present, to bring you back into the present moment, to make you more present.

So set alarms in your phone and someday I will have an app that does this in a really beautiful way because I have yet to find an app that i really love for mindfulness bells.

So just for now, make it easy for yourself. Set alarms in your phone every hour throughout the day and do yourself a favor. Don't let them go off in the middle of the night because you just deserve up to sleep. Okay.

So mindfulness bells every hour of the day where you just pause for like five seconds, and you take in what is happening around you.

Now, if you have more time, spend five minutes of mindfulness. Mindfulness doesn't just happen from meditation. Mindfulness happens throughout your day.

This is how you mindfulness. a mindful mindset. It's practicing it throughout your day. Of course, meditation is a beautiful tool to do that first thing in the morning to get yourself grounded in your body.

But practicing mindfulness throughout your day is actually more effective. Mindfulness and meditation happen when you're in traffic. Meditation is when you're walking outside and you get to just stare at the trees. Meditation is happening when you're waiting in the grocery line and you're getting frustrated because you have to wait.

Meditation happens everywhere throughout your day, and it's an opportunity to be mindful everywhere throughout your day. So set those alarms in your phone. It's going to help you bring more mindfulness, bring more presence into your mind and body. And the second one is start identifying as a mindful person.

There's this trend that being busy is fun and cool, that being busy makes you like a better person, but it's not. Okay. If you're busy, great. But Being present is actually more important than being busy.

So stop identifying yourself as ah stressed out person. People love talking about how stressed they are all the time. People love talking about all of the things they have to do all the time.

It's trendy. I'm so stressed. I have so much to do. Start identifying as someone who's present. Tell people, i am present. I am present. I am here with you. I am working on being mindful. Start talking about it.

And most importantly, visualize yourself as a mindful, present person. Now you can do this through the power of self-hypnosis, and this is so effective and the most impactful way to start identifying as a mindful person and a present person because you're programming your subconscious mind to be present, to be more mindful, to take on the identity of a mindful person.

Because if you keep that identity of a stressed person, you're never going to be able to have that identity of a mindful person. So what this does is it brings you back to mindfulness. It brings you into an identity of a mindful, present

And you can also do this on your own by simply closing your eyes right before you go to sleep at night and visualizing an image of yourself as present.

And mindful. So there's lots of things for you to start trying on here. Presence and mindfulness will power your life in ways you cannot even imagine possible.

It's been liberating. It's been life changing for me. And I'm so grateful for the time that I got to spend in India and in Tibet really taking in the Buddhist teachings and studying mindfulness because that's essentially like behind the Buddhist teachings it's mindfulness teachings it's teaching you how to be more present in your body in your life in your relationships and everything you do which again is the ultimate gift that you can give to yourself and to everyone else in your life. And because I'm so grateful for the teachings i was blessed to receive from llamas, like literally in the Himalayan mountains, that's why I love talking about it today because it's something I'm really passionate about.
