ah We first have our headline of the week, which is the Mario Kart World Direct. back in the when the Nintendo Switch 2 was unveiled and they revealed Mario Kart World, they said, hey, we're going to have a special direct for the game on the 17th of April.

And they did. and you know, they showed some stuff. And it was, you know what, if you woke up early for that, I'm sorry. You really shouldn't have had to wake up that early for that. But we did get some new details and some cool details. Starting off, they did show off a few of the courses. Now you have the Nintendo Today app throughout the every day. They've been showing off like a new course and stuff like that.

ah The Mario Kart World Direct, it happened. They revealed more courses like Mario Bros. Circuit, Crown City, Salty Salty Speedway, Starview Peak, and Boo Cinema. And they showed us a couple returning courses with a new look and everything. And they look great. We're getting toad factory from the Wii peach beach from double dash and Wario shipyard, which I believe was in seven.

Uh, there are now, I don't know how many vehicles, but there's like a set number of vehicles that you can pick from. Um, so you don't have to worry about building. So pick your combos. The meta is going to go crazy to figure out what the best character vehicle combo will be.

um There are new vehicle and roadside hazards throughout the world. And they did, they did reveal that if you do beat all the Grand Prix, you'll unlock something special. And then because we have throughout this whole thing, we haven't seen anything about rainbow road, but then it's like, Oh, there's a light going up to the sky.

got it's rainbow road and there's series online that's like well what if there's like another grand prix that unlocks when you get that called the rainbow cup or whatever and it's four rainbow roads that would be back to back i think that would be hilarious because everyone like it's Rainbow Road is notorious for being like one of the harder roads ah and courses that people have to play on.

um the other racers in a race are not affected by this. So if you do rewind, you will, if if you don't have a sizable lead, you will get passed. So how from my first thought when I saw this was, oh, if I'm in first place and there's someone close to second and I see a blue shell on the map, I rewind and now the blue shell hits them instead.

We don't both know what, though. um They did also show off the other modes. um they all They showed off, obviously, the two main modes, Grand Prix and the god Rally, where it's basically it's eight laps, four courses, eight laps, where you're just driving from point A to point B. Uh, so I'm sure that there's going rainbow road variation of that as well. Um, he's easy to theorize, uh, the other modes that they showed off time trials, obviously, the versus race, which will, which now team races can have up to four teams instead of just two. Uh, you can also customize your own and make your own like grand prix in the mode. So if there's, you can set four different courses that have,

no relation and turn on the drive to each location feature uh for each of those races too and like your own custom grand prix which is really cool and battle mode also returns with balloon battle and coin runners are returning as well okay and then they did show off some stuff with nintendo voice chat and the switch to camera and we actually got to see a new detail about the switch camera We learned that when ah that you can set the area shown in little cutout areas, like you can basically crop what is being shown on your camera, like for where you need to put your face. and it's like, oh, that's how they did it. You just select the area. And that's it's this is basically the switch to camera is basically more and more looking like a new version of Xbox Kinect.

The billiards room ah is there's a dartboard puzzle where basically you will interact with the dartboard and do math.

I work all throughout May trying to stream every day, to raise as much money as I can. This will be our third year doing it. Last year we got to $1,200 the year before we got to $1,100.
