Welcome to the Chick Foley Show.

Summer Transition and Events

00:00:23
Speaker
what is up foley fam summertime is officially here we got the memorial day weekend with some awesome squirt circle action and we're here to discuss it all this week on the newest episode of the chick foley show before we go any further let me introduce the star of the show sheena how you doing
00:00:38
Speaker
I'm doing good technically it's still spring we do it we don't want to hear that no stop me i just don't know i've never made a season russianness in the summer it's gonna be fall and people are me put out their pumpkins like let's just enjoy the spring i understand it feels like you know we're on the road to summer slam.
00:00:56
Speaker
Memorial Day is behind us, but let's pump our brakes a little bit.

Debate: When Does Summer Start?

00:01:01
Speaker
You don't acknowledge spring? No, it's not that I don't acknowledge spring, dude. I feel like I'm pulling muscles in my face and rolling my eyes so hard every time I hear somebody say, actually, summer starts June 21st or whatever, dude. It's true. No, this is America. Day 10 meaning.
00:01:17
Speaker
No, they don't. You're right. They do. And summer is from Memorial Day until Labor Day. That is the summer time, dude. It just is. I don't care about any summer solstice, no fall equinox, none of that, dude. Summer is Memorial Day to Labor Day. Anybody feel free to disagree in the comments, man.

Turtle Tales

00:01:34
Speaker
All right. Yes, it was a great weekend of wrestling. We got a ton to get into. But first, what's new on the farm?
00:01:39
Speaker
Oh my gosh. So I have a turtle update. You know, we've, we have these like mister mysterious, like, you know, turtles in our backyard. We're creating our own Ninja turtle situation back here.
00:01:48
Speaker
There's at least one that's had permanent residents. There's another that we've had multiple sightings of. And there's possibly a third that lives back there. No, there's definitely a third. Remember, we brought three. We got Tully. Yeah, but we don't know if it stayed or not. True. Yeah. So we got one, Terry, right? Terry's the new one. Terry's the new one. I picked him up on the road and he's back there just chilling next to the fence. However, I found a tiny baby turtle. So now that we know that Tully is a girl and she was laying eggs,
00:02:16
Speaker
this past season. And again, I think she can get out from underneath the fence. Like I don't think she's in the backyard the whole time. I think she just like comes in like, you know, is el vagabundo and just like, you know, comes in as a vagabond and leaves and all that. So anyway, my thought is, is that these are Tully's babies from last year when she dug holes and laid eggs. Because I mean, what are the chances that this little tiny baby turtle just found its way into the yard after we've been adopting all of these random turtles into the backyard? So
00:02:46
Speaker
It was so cute. Seth put a picture of it on his Instagram. I mean, if you're in the Facebook group, I'll put a picture of it in there, but it was like, I mean, smaller than the palm of my hand, like the size of like a half dollar. It wasn't even close to the palm of your hand. Yeah. I mean, it could like crawl around and like, you know, spin circles in the palm of my hand. It was, it was so stinking cute. I couldn't even handle it. So we let him, we let him go free back in the backyard after we, you know, showed all the kids and everything. So yeah, we, we get a little turtle safe haven back there. So I'm loving it. You gotta hope he doesn't wander into the chicken run.
00:03:17
Speaker
Yeah, chickens would do a number on a little baby turtle like that if they found him, I think. I mean, he could go in his shell, but his little bottom shell was still so soft. I feel like... Yeah, I think they tear his ass up even in that shell. Remember when they got that lizard? Yeah. They got this giant... What were the lizard skinks? They got a giant skink here before. One of the chickens got it in his mouth and slammed it. It was basically doing head butts into the ground. Multiple times. Just slammed it into the ground to kill it before he ate it. Yeah.
00:03:43
Speaker
Yeah, the chickens really are. They are dinosaurs, yeah. They're very fierce, man.

Speaker
We love Matt and Nick, dude, and freaking Jim and Mike and all the crew over there, dude. I just, dude, it's not true. It's 15 minutes to 10. If you guys know me, after 9 PM, the brain cells start shutting off. So, uh, you know, forgive me, extra cooler show. You guys know, I love you. I'm a, I'm a day one extra cooler. Actually, I was in the attic the other day and I had some, uh, original extra cooler art up there. I was like, we need to put this up somewhere. So yes, I'm, I'm a day one extra cooler fan. So.

Speaker
Couple other figure friends that we want to plug both starting new podcasts. Yeah, they go deep man. I've listened to both shows. They're both really really good You know fig vault and fig heel. They're like i'm right there with them on the
00:05:22
Speaker
just the hardcore like super detailed nitty gritty figure talk man I really love it and then the fig guys they're correct I mean they came in hot do their first episode they got an interview with Jeremy Padour they asked him some pretty pointed questions about you know the current state of the jazzwares AEW figure line
00:05:39
Speaker
So really fun. Definitely subscribe, drop a five star review and show those guys some love. And speaking of showing love, got to give congrats to Turnbuckle Tavern. They're celebrating their four year anniversary today. So I'm pretty sure I'd have to check my watch for West Virginia time. But I think they're actually recording their four year anniversary show as we speak. So shout out to the two bad chads and the rest of the extended.
00:05:59
Speaker
turnbuckle tavern family because that's definitely something to be applauded. Most podcasts don't last six months. A lot of them don't last six weeks and they've gone four years. A lot of them have one episode and never have a second episode. Exactly. We definitely appreciate those guys. They're awesome. Check them out.
00:06:16
Speaker
With the amount of stuff that they're putting out, I mean, we've been going, what, five years?

Chick Foley Show Milestones

00:06:20
Speaker
Coming up on six. October, I'll make six years. Oh, yeah, October. Coming up on six years. They're coming up on four years, and the amount of stuff that they're putting out is just absolutely bananas. I think they have more episodes than us. Well, they definitely do. They have seven different shows. Yeah, you get a new episode of something on the tavern feed pretty much every single week, so that's bang for your buck. Every 12 hours, there's a new piece of term bubble tavern content coming out.
00:06:46
Speaker
All right, you ready to get into the wrestling

King and Queen of the Ring Recap

00:06:48
Speaker
chain? Oh, yeah. All right, so we'll start with Saturday for King of the Ring, King and Queen of the Ring. Excuse me. The latest in the Saudi shows. To be honest, my parents were in town for Memorial Day weekend, so we were kind of in and out on this one. Me and my dad were taking care of some projects around the house, but it was a pretty good show. Got to sit down and really dig in on that main event, the Cody Logan Paul match. It was a lot of fun.
00:07:13
Speaker
This kind of felt a little bit more closer to the glorified house shows that we got on the first handful of Saudi shows compared to what has been the last couple. What was your overall vibes on the show, Shane? Yeah, I got that exact vibe. Like, yeah, just a glorified house show. I mean, obviously we got... I don't want to say inconsequential because like we did get the king and queen of the ring and obviously like there are stipulations now on king of the ring for it to be a championship match at SummerSlam. So I'm not going to say it's inconsequential, but
00:07:42
Speaker
For this show, I will say it was very predictable. There wasn't a lot left to the imagination, but I was sports entertained. Having the local celebrity provide the assist for Cody to get the win in the main event was just How Show 101. It books itself. You can't go wrong with stuff like that.
00:08:01
Speaker
It definitely didn't feel as big time as we kind of thought when we saw we were getting Cody versus Logan Paul for the show, but it was still a fun Saturday afternoon of wrestling. I thought being a daytime show definitely benefited the reception that it got from fans.

Logan Paul's Drone Shot

00:08:13
Speaker
Yeah, I agree. That Logan Paul, speaking of not feeling big time, that Logan Paul drone shot of him
00:08:19
Speaker
on the, uh, the ring post to the outside where he takes the prime and does like, you know, the, what do they call the Logan Paul Leveque where he, uh, that's the first I've heard that it's pretty good though. He sprays the prime everywhere. Uh, I thought that was freaking sick, dude.
00:08:35
Speaker
Yeah, I love just that continuous shot man that with the drone spinning around Logan Paul, like all the little production flourishes we've got. That was his idea. That's pretty cool. Yeah, it came out like a year ago. He had like come up with this. I don't know. He didn't know when he was going to use it, but he like hit up, you know, Triple H or one of the guys in creative and told him about a, you know, that idea you had about the drone.
00:08:54
Speaker
Yeah, they're just killing it on the production front right now with all the unique shots like that. They just really helped to, I mean, not to tell Michael Cole, they just really make the moments that much more memorable.

Event Highlights and Analysis

00:09:03
Speaker
The one thing that is going to stick with me from that show, like anytime somebody mentions it years from now is going to be that Logan Paul table spot. Yeah, it's not going to be Randy Orton's shoulders being up at the King of the Ring finals.
00:09:18
Speaker
Well, I think they, I mean, I don't think that was like a, are you, what are you saying? That was like a botch or whatever. Yeah, it was a botch. I mean, they definitely addressed it, but I mean, that's at the press conference. I don't think it was a botch. I think they did that. So that way they got an easy path for, um, Roman or excuse me, Roman for Cody and Randy Orton at SummerSlam. Like Randy's got a rightful claim to get in there for that title shot. Like, I mean, come on, dude, it's good. They're in Randy Orton. Like, do you really think they're going to botch a finish?
00:09:42
Speaker
It's Randy freaking Orton. If anybody did, you say what you want about him not being the most excited. He's probably the most technically proficient wrestler out there, dude, as far as just being clean. You never see Randy Orton botch, man. Name me another time Randy Orton's botched something. Remember that Seth talked about it at WrestleMania 31. He had to beg Randy Orton to do that big RKO spot because they couldn't quite get it right in rehearsals. And he said Randy Orton mixed a bat in 1000.
00:10:05
Speaker
I think that was the fact that they quit. Because if it wasn't a thing, I don't think they would have addressed it, man. And it was so obvious also. If his shoulder was like a couple inches off the mat, yeah, maybe it was a botch, dude. But it was, I mean, you could have freaking stuck a cinder block under there for how high his shoulder was. So I think that was just done to give him a clean argument and start setting the seeds for Randy and Cody at SummerSlam, which I think would be a hell of a main event. Interesting. What do you think about the choices for Gunther and Naya as the king and queen?
00:10:34
Speaker
I think they were the right choices. Um, definitely like we talked about last week, um, and we've talked about before on the show, the king of the ring is a, is predominantly a heel gimmick and I feel like it fits them. And Naya has really done a lot. She's still not my favorite. I'm, you know, she's not like most girls and she's not, you know, my, my top pick for female wrestlers, but I feel like overall she's come like on this comeback tour, she's done a lot to really prove herself. Um, but you know, I think they made the right choice with her.
00:11:04
Speaker
She wants some serious thoughts or some serious points with me on that bonsai drop, man. I think that instantly is the best bonsai drop we've ever seen in the history of wrestling. I mean, that was, that was intense. Yeah. They, I don't, I don't know exactly the mechanics of making that where, uh, you know, where Lara didn't get her, her chest completely caved in, but it looked brutal, man. Like that was like a super finisher on WWE 2k. So very impressive. Yeah. I like Nia getting it. She has been much improved on this run.
00:11:30
Speaker
And Gunther, you know, it felt preordained from the start, but they laid out a tough road for him to go through this tournament. And it felt like he really accomplished something by, by winning. You know, regardless of his friend, he only had one shoulder down or not. Um, indeed, I think he's getting that world heavyweight championship at SummerSlam. I think so too. I think they're, I think it's undoubted that he's going to get, uh, gold by SummerSlam for sure. Do you think he's going to be facing, uh, Damian priest, or is he going to be facing Drew McIntyre? Um,
00:11:58
Speaker
Drew, I think it's Drew, dude. I think. That feels like the bigger match, man. Yeah, but I don't know. I mean, Drew's, I mean, I feel like Damien's kind of taken a, he's verging on a baby face turn, right? I feel like he's a little bit like on the, on the cusp, you know, whereas like Drew is such a heel and you got Gunther who's such a heel. I know the heel heel thing doesn't really matter, but if you have that big of a match at SummerSlam, I feel like maybe there does need to be like a baby face mixed in. So.
00:12:25
Speaker
Maybe it will be Damien, I don't know. Yeah, I love Damien Priest. We're big fans of Judgment Day over here. I just, I feel like Judgment Day and Gunther, that feels very, you know, mid-card slash upper mid-card ish for, you know, your summer slam match for your big championship. Whereas Drew and Gunther, that feels like a true co-main event to Cody and Randy Orton, if that's the path we go.

Future Wrestling Storylines Speculation

00:12:51
Speaker
All right. What is, what other matches, any other matches you want to touch on from king and queen of the ring? Uh, now what'd you think of the ending of raw Monday with, uh, Dom giving the, the unintentional assist to, to live once again and then live and live in Dom actually, you know, live plants a big one is going to kill you. Like they need to start the champ. Mommy's gonna kill you. Mommy's gonna kill you because dude, I cannot wait to see her come back and just annihilate both Dom and
00:13:20
Speaker
And Liv, it's going to be great. Yeah, we still got to see how Dom tried to play it off as he's unwilling still, but you feel like we're a couple weeks away from him and Liv just being in full cahoots. So yeah, the Judgment Day is fully imploding at this point. We could see some of that spill into Damien Priest's story with his big match with Drew at Clash of the Castle. The other thing with Drew, you still got CM Punk floating out there, man. So just a ton of fun stuff in WWE right now. Totally see CM Punk coming back at Clash of the Castle and costing Drew
00:13:50
Speaker
the freaking match. You know what I mean? Because I don't think they're going to let Damian Priest go over Drew clean. I feel like this would be like, you know, CM Punk's freaking come up against Drew McIntyre and costing him the title again, dude. So.
00:14:04
Speaker
I don't know. Yeah, they got a lot of a lot of coals in the fire right now. You still got Seth who's you know, he seems going to be coming back sooner rather than later. It's it's going to it's going to be fun to see where we go as the spill the summer slam starts to to go full throttle.

AEW Double or Nothing Review

00:14:19
Speaker
Let's go to Sunday night. What were your thoughts on double or nothing?
00:14:23
Speaker
It was a long show by the end. I was very I was holding my eyes open Seth I was getting roasted by my six-year-old for for falling asleep during during the matches, but yeah overall I thought it was an excellent show I thought there was some really good matches on there and again sports entertained anarchy in the arena was bananas I think you're under selling it man. I think double or nothing was
00:14:47
Speaker
an example of the absolute perfect wrestling show dude you had absolutely everything on there you had high stakes prestigious championship matches you had awesome technical wrestling you had the you know just the the crazy athleticism a little osprey and then you got the blood and guts from the
00:15:05
Speaker
the barbed wire still cage matching anarchy and you've got some comedy mixed in as well man like this to me like but I just expect I expect AEW to deliver on their pay per views dude I wasn't underselling it I just feel like it's just an expectation that like AEW is gonna knock it out of the park when they
00:15:21
Speaker
Put on a show you're right they have this you know at eight point it was kind of like the the floor for uh for an aw pay-per-view at this point but that being said i still thought this one was a masterpiece man i think it was the best aw pay-per-view we've ever had it just had everything dude it was it was everything you want to see in pro wrestling in one show
00:15:41
Speaker
There really wasn't a bad match on there. Tony Storm match was kind of dragged a little bit, but the criticisms for that show were like

MJF's Return to AEW

00:15:49
Speaker
quibbles. They're very, very small. It was damn near perfect, man. We could start off with a great opening match, getting a little osprey out there to get the crowd.
00:15:58
Speaker
fired up, and then we got MJF's big return, man, with the... MJF's return was freaking awesome, dude. I love paying homage to Triple H. Triple H is one of MJF's role models, and I feel like that was just... And the moment, the whole denim moment was paying homage to the Royal Rumble, or not the Royal Rumble.
00:16:21
Speaker
Yeah, it was his return before the Royal Rumble 2002. Yeah. So January 2002. Yeah. So, uh, yeah, I just, you know, I thought that was freaking perfect. And he got out there and did what MJF does and delivered. Um, the tattoo was a little questionable. I don't know where he got that done, but I feel like it could have been a little bit cleaner coming from someone with absolutely zero tattoos. So maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but yeah, the action, the, the comeback was, was sick, dude. I'm excited to see where MJF goes. Yeah. It was.
00:16:51
Speaker
It was pretty wild. It really is unfortunate, man, that the way everything played out between MJF and Adam Cole's injuries, because they laid so much good groundwork for that double storyline. And it was basically written off, at least for now, with a kick to the nuts and a DDT, man. So that's definitely a bummer, because that was one of the most interesting things AW had done.
00:17:11
Speaker
in a while, but they can always heat it back up once Adam Cole is fully cleared, man. His poor ankle, I don't know if he's ever going to be the same again, man. I was reading up on it because I've been tracking it because I got a conspiracy theory that he was out for a long time with those concussions,

Impact of Wrestling Injuries

00:17:26
Speaker
man. My theory is that there was some sort of complication or something else came up with those concussions. That's what's actually keeping him out, but they don't want to admit that because that's just not a fun topic to talk about.
00:17:36
Speaker
But I don't know, it's like I'm freeing up on it, man. There's a lot, if you have a major ankle injury like that, there's a lot, there's so many tiny little bones in there that there's a lot that can go wrong in the healing process. It's been like nine months.
00:17:48
Speaker
Uh, yeah, it was september last year. So we're coming up on yeah, we're coming up on nine months This is nice that his ankle has has had him out of action. I mean I just like there's just been people with such So much more devastating injuries that have come up that have like come come back within nine months Apparently not man that little four foot jump off the ramp straight up freaking just crushed his uh, his ankle
00:18:13
Speaker
Um, speaking of van injuries, man, Adam Copeland absolutely destroyed his knee. You know, he talked about it. Uh, he's, it was absolutely epic on the lead up to it climbs up to the top of the barbed wire steel cage in this awesome match with Malachi. It's going to do the Jimmy super fly snook a splash off the top.
00:18:29
Speaker
And he said his body kind of just hit the e-brake on him. If you watch the video in slow motion, he's starting to dive and lay out and you see his left hand catches a piece of barbed wire. Go back and watch the video from that. You'll see his left hand catch that barbed wire, which it was, it was shoot barbed wire dude, catches that barbed wire. And then it's like his body just instinctively like reflex and like stiffened up and he ends up dropping straight down. It was, it was bulling to you ugly to quote Jim Ross when you saw it in the match.
00:18:57
Speaker
Looked like it had to hurt and then, you know, he's a tough son of a bitch because he finishes the match next day for now. It's a broken freaking tibia, dude. Not a broken ankle. Yeah. When he did that, I said, dude, that looks like he broke his leg. I said he could have broke his leg. Yeah, it looked bad because that's a high jump, dude. He basically landed straight legged on the ground.
00:19:16
Speaker
You know, I think Malachi will go into the result of the match. I honestly think that may be like the last we really see of Malachi and that totally could have been the the series finale for Malachi right there, man. Like he.
00:19:28
Speaker
he lost to Edge, dude. But I mean, Edge is basically John Cena at this point in his career. There's no shame in losing to Edge, but it's just the fact that they've never allowed Malachi to shine. So it's like, if they didn't allow him to have it in that moment, they're never going to allow him to. I mean, he's going to end back up in WWE, presumably, but I just, dude, I cannot believe, if they're even trying to work things out with
00:19:54
Speaker
Malachi that they didn't pull the trigger right there. I believed it. I picked Adam Copeland. I was more. I was thinking about it. I was like Malachi dude. I was, I was looking at Malachi's track record in AW so far that they've never really, you know, doubled down on him to keep the, uh, the Gamla theme going. And then dude, and in kayfabe, he's a strong ass wrestler. He won a feud against Seth Rollins in 2021.
00:20:17
Speaker
He beat the Demon Finn Balor in Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania. And dude, he just went over Malachi. You say it's no shame. I think there is shame. He had help from the whole House of Black. It was a three on one at one point. And they still got beat because they dusted off Brett's buddy Gangrel to come in and give the assist to Adam Copeland. I think that was a borderline burial.
00:20:38
Speaker
of Malachi Black losing that, man. The match was great. I was still really entertained. I love seeing Gangrel come back. Brett was so excited to see Gangrel. We met him at Memphis Wrestling back in October. They do their, Memphis Wrestling does their Halloween spooktacular. Really, really fun event, and Gangrel was super cool to meet. So yeah, I was glad to see him get his shine. We were all thinking he was going to come back at WrestleMania that year to help Edge go against Finn in the Judgment Day. Didn't happen then, but better late than never. We got to Edge and Gangrel moment.
00:21:07
Speaker
Um, let's go on. So then we had, what did you think of Mercedes Monet's AW debut?

Mercedes Monet in AEW

00:21:14
Speaker
I mean, it was a good match. I mean, it was what I expect out of Mercedes and what I've seen of Willow Nightingale, but.
00:21:21
Speaker
I mean, I don't know, she's just not doing it for me. And I even I knew she would cry. I mean, she's same old, same old Sasha Banks, dude. So I'm so over her as a performer that like I can't really give a fair critique. Same. I feel that's exactly how I feel. Because again, the match was fine. If you like if you like Mercedes or Sasha or whatever you want to call her, then yeah, you probably
00:21:41
Speaker
were really entertained, but I was just kind of like, meh. She's in her Miz territory for me, and it's not a WWE AEW thing. I felt the same way about her pretty much her last year and a half in WWE as well, but it's like, whenever Miz is music hits, they say, oh God, that's my time to go and get another beer, go take a piss or something, dude. It's not that I hate them or anything, I just don't care about anything that they're doing whatsoever on TV. So yeah, I guess if I did have to have a complaint,
00:22:07
Speaker
On this show Mercedes Monet being one of the featured performers is probably it man. Just let her go down being the mid card somewhere There's no reason we're gassing up a TBS championship match as part of a triple main event All right. What did you think of swerving Christian's championship match?

Swerve vs. Ospreay Match Excitement

00:22:23
Speaker
Uh, it was freaking bananas as, as you would expect. I mean, dude, Christian cage is just an absolute anomaly, dude. I mean, how, I mean, how was he just doing all the things he's doing at this point in his career? Yeah, it's, it's wild, dude. So, um, yeah, awesome match.
00:22:42
Speaker
And we'll go and talk about it. They pulled the trigger on Wednesday night with Will Ospreay winning the casino gauntlet match. And it's going to be Will Ospreay and Swerve for the AEW Championship at Forbidden Door.
00:22:56
Speaker
I see a lot of people saying it's too soon, but I mean, I've also heard a lot of people criticize the fact that Swerve hasn't really had this like, you know, super awesome championship run so far since he's, you know, since he won the title. Well, he's been the B story since he won it. Exactly. Same time he won the belt, this elite, you know, kind of being like the modern day NWO thing started. And that's been like the main event story. It's gotten to most TV times, been presented as the biggest deal in the company.
00:23:22
Speaker
It may have ended the last pay-per-view. They definitely have not done him any favors since he got the big win. Obviously, Anarchy in the Arena is a little bit of an exception because it almost had to close the show. As the champ, it wasn't even the last match on the show. To me, it's not even about the
00:23:42
Speaker
The order of the match is just the presentation going into it you know i mean like it was he was fighting mid carters and like competitive matches on tv right build to the show i'm saying so i mean so you can't be mad when will osprey and swerve are gonna get a chance to go at each other do you mean doesn't get much bigger than that for freaking swerve you know i mean so
00:24:01
Speaker
I mean, I feel like swerves losing that belt dude. There's no way swerve is winning. I feel like either swerve is losing or we're getting some sort of, yeah, some sort of hijinks, man. We don't get a clean finish, which did AW to their credit. They really don't do that very often, man. It's very rare that we get some sort of, you know, fuck finish in a big match, man. I think, uh, I think there's a good chance swerve is coughing that belt up. I, you know, going,
00:24:26
Speaker
Breaking kayfabe man, AEW definitely is kind of up against it right now. It seems like the media like the talks for their new TV deal are not going great. There was a report from actual like legit Hollywood reporters not wrestling dirt sheets that came out this week that they that AEW has not been happy with the number that Warner Brothers has been.
00:24:46
Speaker
has been offering up so far. So if you want to do something to spark interest in, you have the hottest wrestler outside of WWE in the entire world right now is Will Ospreay. Why not give the belt to him and let him see what he can do over the summer, try to get a little bit of buzz and break some of this negative momentum they've had going against him. Right before we got on here, I saw somebody have posted something about Tony Khan saying that they wanted to take dynamite to three hours.
00:25:12
Speaker
Yeah, I mean, it makes sense. If you're trying to make money, man, WWE gets an extra 50 million a year from USA for the third hour. People within WWE complained about how much of a pain in the ass it was creatively, but dude, it catches checks. That pays the bills, man. That's a significant amount of money for an extra hour. It's basically a million a week for that extra hour.
00:25:35
Speaker
for TV. And to be honest, I've never been a fan of the three hour WWE presentation. I've kind of enjoyed the AW shows they've been doing since the NBA playoffs, you know, Rampage has been getting bounced around and it's been a handful of times over the last couple months that they've had a three hour dynamite. They've just tagged
00:25:53
Speaker
rampage onto the end of dynamite and given a three hour block.

Extending AEW Dynamite Discussion

00:25:56
Speaker
It's been pretty good, man. Because if there's one critique on AWTV, it's that stuff happens so fast, nothing ever gets a chance to breathe. It's just bang, bang, bang, bang. They've actually had a little bit of time to space the show out, let stuff matter. And you get to see a ton of people because AW's got arguably the best roster ever put together, man. Like as far as just pound for pound, they have so many good people that you barely even see on a week to week basis. And I know two years from now, I'll probably regret saying this.
00:26:23
Speaker
But I'm kind of in favor of AEW going to three hours for dynamite. Three hours is a large pill to swallow, dude. I mean, I get it from the business side of it, but sitting down for a three-hour watch is a lot, dude. And it wouldn't be bad if they... AEW doesn't do... You can't go back and watch... They don't have peacock where it's... Or Hulu where it's chopped up with only the highlights. You know what I mean? Yeah.
00:26:52
Speaker
Yeah, I mean to me if I was really sitting down to watch Minute for Minute each week I'd probably feel differently but my wrestling watching now especially on the weekly TV is like I usually turn it on and you know I'll watch a little bit go help out you know getting the kids sitting down for dinner getting them eight put the bed and come back watch a little bit we're doing stuff around the house so
00:27:10
Speaker
It seemed like the three-hour shows had like a little bit easier going by to me from compared to the two-hour shows. So that's kind of my take, man. I know I floated that out to the two bad chads, our resident AW experts over at Turn Local Tavern for their listener mail about a month ago. And they agreed. They said that the three-hour shows kind of did work. Like I said, on paper, I'd be like, hell no, but actually sitting down to watch them. It just had a nice vibe to it. All right, any closing thoughts on Double or Nothing?
00:27:39
Speaker
Um, no, like you said, I think it was a great show and, uh, yeah, ready for the next AEW show. All right. We will get into the weekly beverage break and then talk figures.
00:28:17
Speaker
All right, the beverage break is where we tell you guys what we're sipping on as

What Are the Hosts Drinking?

00:28:20
Speaker
we potch. What are you drinking this week? Just boring ass coconut water. That's it. What brand is it? Do you got the fancy stuff?
00:28:28
Speaker
Nope, I got store-blaring, Costco, Kirkland, organic coconut water. Gotta get those electrolytes. Jordan would be so disappointed if you use only this right now. Yeah, I can already feel him shaking his head listening to this. I'm drinking a Tiny Bomb. It's a Pilsner from Wise Acre Brewing here in Memphis. Really, really good. They got pretty good distribution throughout the South, so if you get a chance to grab anything from Wise Acre, definitely get it. They make a lot of good beers. All right, let's get into some figure talk.
00:29:19
Speaker
Alright the figure four is where we bring you guys the latest in figure news want to remind you guys this segment and our entire show is brought to you by ringside collectibles use code chick Foley to save 10% there so not a ton of figure news this week got a few things I want to get seen his thoughts on.
00:29:38
Speaker
We saw some, some AW reveals a double or nothing, but nothing, nothing to get too excited about, but something to get excited about zombie sailor. We know he's done some amazing things in his Hasbro kind of tribute line. He's finally entering the elite scale this year. It says this year, you know, I kind of made a joke in the Facebook group today. I think it's probably 2026 where we see this figure. So this is no paying to have seen, but this figure leaked this, the sample
00:30:02
Speaker
of Jeff Jarrett so this is it's gonna have some deco all over that black outfit but I think this thing looks pretty dang badass. Yeah dude it looks awesome I mean you I mean you see that and immediately you know it's Jeff Jarrett dude. Yeah he had that that just really bizarre ring gear that really doesn't make any sense or it's like a collar with strips of fabric going down connected at the waist but it's very magic mic.
00:30:25
Speaker
Yeah, you know, we had the that ultimate we were supposed to get that ultimate edition from Mattel and end up getting canceled So this is that's pretty dang close to what we're gonna get so i'm excited to get these man I hope that they scale really well with elites kind of looking at it It looks to be a little bit more in line with like the power town Yeah, to me. It looks like somewhere between aw and power town look just bulkier, right? It may end up this thing looks slightly taller than elites Well, it's hard to tell I mean like from this picture. It's like there's no
00:30:55
Speaker
You know, there's nothing Yeah, there's no reference but I kind of just you know, you look at enough fears you can kind of eyeball it It looks like it's slightly taller than Mattel scale and it's definitely bulkier. There's no doubt about that Like Mattel figures are kind of slight if we're being honest on Mattel, but some long ass legs Yeah, very excited about this man. He's got some other good ones with you know, King Kong Bundy He's got an amazing Brian Pillman on the way and an Abdul of the Butcher. So I
00:31:18
Speaker
I don't know what the price is going to be on these. They definitely don't look cheap. And obviously, you know, Zombie, it's going to be a little bit of weight, but it's always been worth it. I've never gotten a product from him and been like, man, it wasn't worth the weight. So are you in on this line, Sheen? Oh, yeah. I think it's going to be great, dude. I think it's going to be a great addition to get the people that we're not going to get from Mattel.
00:31:38
Speaker
Yeah, definitely.

New Gangrel Figure

00:31:40
Speaker
All right. Speaking of which, our buddy Mitch is also entering the elite line. He's, you know, grapplers and gimmicks. They've had Hasbro figures, but they're giving us, uh, he calls it his regium line. These are, uh, elite scale figures. Uh, I talked to Mitch this week, asked him, he said, it's going to be kind of closer to basics on the extra articulation, but they are going to be in scale.
00:31:59
Speaker
These are probably more for just display than anything. But the thing is with these collectors lines, I don't think anybody sitting down and like, you know, having five star classes in their fig feds with these, right? Right. But what do you, what do you think of this elite scale gangrel?
00:32:12
Speaker
I mean, Gangrel is much needed in elite form. I have a hard time getting too excited because we have our pristine Mad Reaper custom Gangrel. But for all the people out there who need this in their collection, the little blood shallots and all the... I think it's going to be great.
00:32:31
Speaker
Yeah, it was awesome. I'll probably grab this anyways just because that one, you know, Mad Reaper kind of custom sculpted the, you know, like the pirate shirt details, like the the fluffy like collars and cuffs and stuff. And I always worry about that stuff just kind of aging and collapsing. So, oh, yeah. And you already know Brett's going to want to play with this. Oh, yeah. So it's like, yeah, we can't let him play with the Mad Reaper one, but you can play a little bit with this one. Yeah, very cool figure. So the other figure he had was the Kurt Fuller from from No Holds Bards slash Wayne's World, where we looked at that one a couple of weeks ago.
00:33:01
Speaker
Yeah, I think Gangrel is definitely going to move the needle a little bit more than old Kurt is. Next target exclusive, we got the Brit Baker from the Owen Hart Classic from 2022. So this figure is definitely a couple years late, but still pretty cool. I love the packaging with the pink foil. Love the pink. Yeah, I love the pink foil. The belt looks ginormous. Yeah, the belt looks a little ginormous, but that's always been an issue for jazzers, but at least we're getting it, dude. That's a weird ass belt.
00:33:25
Speaker
I really wish that they just would have made it to pack and included the Adam Cole, because you know, Adam Cole was the male one. And then you're also didn't have his belt. He had that one heart tribute gear. Also, I think that would be a really, really sick to pack. Obviously, we know these guys are a longtime couple in real life. I think they'd be a really neat piece for autographs. But either way, at least I think this is strictly a repaint from her first figure, the actual figure, but MOC and everything. This is a tremendous package right here.
00:33:52
Speaker
Yeah, it looks great. We got Martha Hart on TV again. Her and Tony Khan is just cringe overload. They should just not be on screen together, man. It's too much. I'm glad we got the Owen classic. I'm here for all of it.
00:34:11
Speaker
I'm still saying we need Brett, dude. Martha is not a TV personality. Yeah, dude. It would elevate it so much if you had Brett come out and present the belts to the winners this year. Yeah. She always comes out wearing her derby hat and she's always got these super scripted philanthropist lines.
00:34:30
Speaker
And I get it. She's his wife, right? Like she has every right to do whatever, you know, to present this however much we presented. But in wrestling fans' eyes, man, when you think Owen, the next thing you think is Brett, dude. You don't think Martha, man. You think of Brett. You think of their...
00:34:43
Speaker
You know, when they were together, the Heart Foundation, their epic feud. Imagine how badass you would feel if you got the title belt presented to you by freaking Bret Hart, dude. Dude, I still think- Looked better on her. Yeah, I still say, man, one of the biggest things that immediately established AEW is like, no joke, like these guys are not fucking around, is Bret Hart showing up to unveil.
00:35:04
Speaker
the AW Championship. Yeah, that's probably like my most wanted figure in jazzwares, man. I want them to do a jazzwares to do a Bret Hart presenting the AW Championship. I know it'll never happen, but that was just such a cool moment, man. That's one moment that is always stuck in my heart for AW, man, is Bret showing up to present that belt. And then last thing, look at this freaking Funko Pop. Umaga is finally getting a Funko Pop, dude. Super toyetic. Arguably the most toyetic member ever of the
00:35:31
Speaker
You know the bloodline Samoan dynasty on a YE clan. This thing is sick. It is sick It's it is definitely keto. Umaga if you if you're familiar with our fully fam We have a joke that the 2k19 Yoko he was very slight and we always called him keto Yoko when we would do our 2k rural rumbles and that's how pretty much all the big guy Funko's are to do they're all subscribed to they all got the WWE 2k19 body styles, man, they're they just
00:35:58
Speaker
I guess it just wouldn't really work for Funkos, man. It does work. I feel like they have big body. They have big body Funkos. You know what I mean? There are big body Funkos out there. On the wrestling line, Bambi and Bigelow and Vader, they were both like... I think they had basically the same body. Yeah, exactly. Not in the wrestling line, but why? They've shown that they can make big bodies, so why would you... Are they the bigger scale Funkos or they make the big bodies in that scale?
00:36:25
Speaker
No, they make the big, big bodies. I mean, they make like, you know, I mean, like teddy bears and stuff. You know what I mean? So it's not a matter of like balance and they can't stand up. So, I mean, they have like guys with like big middles that are, you know, they work for Funko pops, but yeah, I mean, it looks awesome either way. I'm nitpicking for sure. But I mean, yeah, it just, it's crazy. Cause I mean, Umaga and Yoko are freaking monsters. You bring up a good point. Cause the Yoko Zuna Funko would be amazing, but yeah, it, it,
00:36:53
Speaker
It's passable for Umaga. You definitely wouldn't be able to get by with a Yoko Zuna with that body style. Yeah. Sorry. We have a stray watch going off somewhere here, so if you hear some beeping in the background. It's Umaga. Three-minute warning showing up, man. Wow. I did that on purpose. Wow.
00:37:13
Speaker
All right. Uh, that's a wrap for figure four. Uh, you know, figure spotting has been very dry around here lately. The only thing we've really been looking for is the, uh, Monday night war series two. And there's been nothing hitting in Tennessee, man. Avid figure collector on Instagram hooked us up with a fake diesel. Still need that Kevin Nash though. Cause, uh, we got our, our next custom has been commissioned. We got our boy, our buddy Ivy's custom biggies. He's going to do up a fake razor Ramon for us to go with that fake diesel. So that's going to be pretty epic, man. Uh, definitely share that with you guys. Once we get it put together.

Boneyard Funko Pop Review

00:38:02
Speaker
right. How many chicks is where I randomly select one of our over 1,800 wrestling figures, present the Sheena on the air, and we do a live review. So Sheena, are you ready for the big reveal? Let's go. This week's How Many Chicks is the Boneyard Funko Pop Undertaker. Wow. Um.
00:38:07
Speaker
You ready to get into how many chicks, Shane?
00:38:25
Speaker
I mean, it looks just like the Boneyard Undertaker, but I feel like if you weren't a wrestling fan, you wouldn't know that this was Undertaker. You think you're Sons of Anarchy. Yes, exactly. You would just be like, God, this is a Sons of Anarchy pop. It has no... On the back, it's got the Undertaker logo on the back of the vest, but other than that, there are no distinguishing characteristics that make this feel like it's an Undertaker, not just a typical biker.
00:38:51
Speaker
I think this is a pretty cool Funko Pop, man. It was Amazon exclusive from 2020, obviously commemorating the Boneyard match with AJ. And I think it's pretty historically significant because that really ended up being Undertaker's last match. They kind of hinted at it at the time, but we'd seen Undertaker have so many farewells that you never really believed it, right? I even remember Survivor Series that year, they did the big
00:39:13
Speaker
that big tribute and everybody was thinking that the Fiend was going to come out and attack him at the end of it. I saw Undertaker literally leave his ring gear in the middle of the freaking ring and take a 20 minute walk out of the stadium. That was three years later. Thank you, Taker. Everybody chanting. Yeah. Three years later, he finally hangs it up. I think it's pretty cool. I really wish that they would have done a matching AJ. They did it in the figures. They did an Elite of this Undertaker.
00:39:38
Speaker
and they had the matching AJ that was really cool. To me, the Boneyard match was the best of all the cinematic matches from that period. Yeah, it's super cool. We definitely needed a pop to commemorate it. To me, I think it's cool, but I think if you were just a casual pop collector, you'd be like, hmm. You're docking it on the fact that if you had
00:40:01
Speaker
you like to be immediately recognizable for uh for folks i feel like i feel like for pops specifically um i mean obviously for wrestling fans it's different but for pops specifically i feel like you should be able to just look at it through the window and be like oh yeah that's who that is and it should be like their most popular look obviously pops go into every variation of every thing uh for every series but
00:40:23
Speaker
Yeah, talking it a little bit. Yeah, I was standing on its own. You just be like, I think a two pack with AJ would have made a big difference, man, because I do think this is really what executed pops got the nice little braid on the back shovel or the tattoos. Yeah, a shovel would be cool as well.
00:40:38
Speaker
But yeah, I do like this pop, man. I think it's pretty neat when as far as Undertaker stuff goes. And like I said, that Boneyard match was just awesome, man. We'll tie it in, make it a retro pick too, because dude, that match is over four years old at this point. Let's go back and watch that match. It really was a perfect send out for the Undertaker. You kind of got a mix of like the dead man, like the spooky paranormal along with like Biker Taker, like American Badass Undertaker.
00:41:00
Speaker
Uh, you know, and it's a damn good performance from AJ Styles as well. So check a main event from night one of the, uh, the cursed WrestleMania 36. Yeah. That was the first, uh, cinematic match in, you know, WWE of that, of that style like match. Yeah. All right. Uh, so let's go to rating Shane from 0.0 to 5.0. What do you give the, the, the Boneyard match Undertaker Funko pop?
00:41:25
Speaker
As a whole, I'm going to give it a 3.4. I feel like, like all the points I made about it just being kind of unrecognizable and a little bit generic, um, you know, it doesn't have, it needs, it needs a little, like I said, needs an accessory. And I think it would get, it would get in a solid four, but, uh, yeah.
00:41:44
Speaker
I'm going to go 3.8. I do really like this, but you got to remember when we're doing these, how many chicks, which is encompassing, uh, Funkos, Mattels, jazzwares has bros, everything. So there's, there's no scale for, for Funko. You know what I mean? It's it doesn't just get great. It's like, you know, 5.0 Funko overall as a figure. I give it a 3.8 though. I do really, really like this. And I think it represents a truly historic moment. So it gets points for that.
00:42:06
Speaker
I probably bump it up to about a four point four if there was a matching AJ to go along with it. But still very happy to have this in my collection. And if you haven't seen before, definitely check it out. Amazon exclusive Boneyard undertaker, because it's not super expensive. What's some of your other favorite undertaker looks like out of all the different variations he's had as I look up the current eBay price on this guy? I mean, I feel like if we had a pop phantom taker, that would be really cool, like a Phantom of the Opera mask taker.
00:42:35
Speaker
They did the black and purple, did they not do the, I thought he had one with the mask. He did have the mask on. Let's see, I know they did the Hasbro. Yeah, you're right. They did the black and purple, but not with the mask. Yeah, we've gotten a few versions of Undertaker, but not. They've done three black and purple Undertaker Funkos, but not without the mask. I even got to look them up too. You guys know how much I love these, but there's so many different Funkos. Do we have a black and gray Undertaker? No black and gray Undertaker either from the debut. Like black and gray with like the straight up red hair, like that would be cool.
00:43:01
Speaker
But yeah, for black and purple, we got one with him in the casket, one that came with Paul Bearer, and then we got one without the hat with the hair down in his face, but no mask yet. You'd think we'd get one, because that's such a first brief period it was that was such an iconic look. I mean, he really only had that thing for two months, but everybody remembers freaking the masked Undertaker. All right, let's see what Boneyard Undertaker Funko is going for right now on eBay. So if you want to add this guy to your collection after hearing this talk, you can get him for about $15 shipped.
00:43:30
Speaker
on eBay. So definitely worth adding to it if you're a Funko collector and you somehow missed this one because he was an Amazon exclusive. Sheen, do we have any listener mail? Of course we do. Alright, our first question comes in from Zach Hertzler with MJF back. Who do you want to see him face besides Adam Cole, of course? Yeah, so obviously once Adam Cole is back healthy, that'll be the
00:43:57
Speaker
the big one, man. I think he needs to go back and settle up with Samoa Joe, dude. I think we need to see him and Samoa Joe have a little docido again. Cause you know, Samoa Joe was in cahoots with, you know, undisputed, I almost said United Kingdom, undisputed kingdom, helping them take out MJF and in his reign. So I think he's got a score to settle with Samoa Joe. And I think that'd be a really cool feud to revisit back with MJF at a hundred percent. Cause he was banged up pretty bad by the time he got to that Samoa Joe match.
00:44:25
Speaker
Yeah. I feel like, you know, MJF, he's going to be a more of a, uh, I mean, not that he wasn't main event before, but like the undisputed kingdom stuff was kind of like, um, I mean, the devil stuff was awesome, but they feel like kind of like a midcard act. You know what I mean? Like the person that they were created to go against was hurt and their leader was hurt at the time of the big reveal. It was just, it was one of those angles. It was just doing, man. That happens from time to time, dude. You see angles that it just, they're, it just doesn't line up, man. The life does not cooperate. The stars are not in alignment.
00:44:55
Speaker
Um, on that same note, he says, uh, who do you think will come back first? Britt Baker or Jamie Hader? I feel like it's gotta be Britt Baker, man. I mean, Jamie Hader had an injury, dude. Britt Baker is just gone. Maybe she's helping Adam Cole. Maybe she's helping him with his therapy or something. I mean, remember that was one of our theories at the time. She might be the devil. Like that was legit getting floated out there. Uh, that would have been cool though. Yeah, that would have been cool looking back. I actually would have worked out. Um,
00:45:24
Speaker
I don't know. I feel like I keep waiting. Every time Mercedes is out, I keep waiting for Britt Baker's music to hit to confront her and it just doesn't happen. I don't know. I still say Britt Baker just because as far as I know, she's ready to go and Jamie Hader still got a little bit of recovery to do. Maybe she's just got so much dental work on the books. Maybe, dude. Maybe the people in Pittsburgh's teeth are just blowing down the crapper right now, dude. She just can't even get time to lace her boots, man. Too much Mountain Dew. Doing all these root canals and filling cavities and stuff.
00:45:53
Speaker
Zach also asks, favorite King of the Ring winner and why? It's gotta be, my favorite's Brett. I'm partial to Brett. I mean, you beat what, Razor, Mr. Perfect, and bam bam. I mean, that's a freakin' murders row. All three in the same night as well. Yeah, exactly. It was all one night, too. So, I mean. Brett Hart, hands down. Not even close. Not even close. Cody Baker, what are your thoughts on Jordan Grace facing Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Championship?
00:46:21
Speaker
It's gonna be awesome, dude. Jordan Grace is a brick shit house. I'm excited for the match. I think Roxanne is gonna show out. It's gonna bring some new eyeballs. I mean, NXT was cooking this week, dude, having Ethan Page and Jordan Grace both show up as complete surprises. Yeah, I think it's awesome. I mean, I'm pretty sure Roxy's gonna win, but the most exciting thing they could do would be to have Jordan Grace win that belt, go parade around on TNA a little bit, because I'm pretty sure that she's WWE-bound.
00:46:49
Speaker
eventually dude. Like she, you know, she got that little taste at the rumble. She's going to get taste on a pay-per-view action. Like I have a hard time finding that thinking that she's going to be back in TNA for the long haul after this flirtation with David W.E. So, um, you know, I'm rooting for her to win, man. As much as I like Roxy, I'm rooting for her to win, but I'm definitely excited to see how it goes down once the bell rings. Zach asks, um, will Ethan Page benefit from being an NXT versus the main roster? I mean,
00:47:17
Speaker
I don't know if I'm in the minority, but Ethan Page just don't do it for me. I feel like, um, I mean, he'll be fine in NXT. I think he'll do, I mean, I think NXT is a big deal, dude. And I think you're, I think you kind of know, I think an NXT, it's cool for him to be an NXT on the main roster. He's, he gets swallowed up on the main roster. Yeah, he just would, man. But he'd be an NXT build up a little bit of, you know, get a little bit buzz. And then.
00:47:40
Speaker
and then maybe you do some on the main roster. But I think NXT is fine, dude. As far as week to week TV goes, man, like the actual week to week TV show aspect of it, NXT is the best, dude. They have so many fun storylines going on that build from week to week to week. You see basically the same people every week, so it's not like, you know, AEW where you see somebody, you don't see them for three weeks.
00:48:01
Speaker
You know, raw is kind of like the main eventers got cool stuff going on, but sometimes the mid card is just like, what am I watching right here? NXT is like, it's like a mix between like the attitude era and like the new generation with like the weekly storytelling combined with just like these over the top, like colorful gimmicks and everything.
00:48:17
Speaker
So yeah, dude, if you haven't been watching NXT, I know we've been saying that for really the last year at this point. If you haven't been watching NXT because it doesn't got the star power it used to have in the black and gold days, you're doing yourself a disservice. Definitely check it out. You know, we got battleground coming up here next weekend. It's going to be a really great show.
00:48:33
Speaker
All right, Tony Barker, what do you think? We've already talked about this, but he asked about what do we think about Osprey going, getting a crack at Swerve. But he also says, should the talks between AEW and Warner Brothers discovery break down, how would you rebrand the TBS and TNT championships?
00:48:51
Speaker
With so many title belts you could I mean the possibilities Yeah, I think you could I know that so the TNT is definitely expendable because you also have the Continental Championship and the International Championship So the team if the TNT just went away like if Adam Copeland just left it at home one week and never you know Since he got hurt if they just retired it with him
00:49:11

I really don't think anybody would miss it, man. TBS, you really need that mid-card women's belt. So you can just rebrand it as the Women's International Championship. Have a tournament to create the new Women's International Champion, and then you could go title for title and join the lineage, dude. I feel like the TNT can just be done and retired. TBS, absorb it into a new Women's Mid-card Championship.

Yeah, agree. And I mean, and if they just scrapped them and started fresh, I don't think anybody would even... Or just keep them just to be funny, man. Just keep the TBS championship and the TNT championship for the irony of it, man. I don't think... I don't know what the contractual legalities are on it, man, but I can't imagine. They could change the logo though. You know what I mean? Like it changed the font or something and keep it the TNT and TBS. That would be kind of a J. So.

Last question, Tony Barker says, with Cody Rhodes bringing back the Verta Breaker at the PLE, what other band moves would you like to see return to WWE? Can somebody please bring back a good old fashioned pile driver? Dude, I was going to say pile driver too. I feel like if they want to give it, it'd probably be best going to a new guy, but I feel like CM Punk using the straight up, just OG pile drivers as finisher would just work, man. I feel like it would really be over.

Like a good like Paul Lorndorf, Terry Funk style jumping power driver would get over like Rover right now. So I'll say CM Punk, bringing it back to power driver.

Yeah. Do you remember for that brief period of time when the curb stomp was banned, dude? That was... It wasn't a brief period of time. That was almost three years. It's like a year, right? No, it was almost three years. Really? Three years? From April 2015 to December 2017, the curb stomp was gone. Yeah, because what did he do? He did that twisting thing for a while, the twist up. He did the pedigree first, and then he tried this new... The rip cord knee strike. The rip cord knee strike, and then...
00:51:05
Speaker
Finally, thank God, they brought the... Yeah, but that wasn't a brief period. That was three years of his career that Seth's finisher was gone, and he still flourished. Yeah. What about just like punting someone's head off, you know? To me, the punt's always been overrated, man. I feel like it never connected like it was supposed to. I've never... If you actually connected, you would literally like punt someone's head off. I mean, yeah, but same thing. If you actually connected on the super kick, you'd break somebody's jaw. You know what I mean?
00:51:33
Speaker
I think- I think taking an upward strike is different. I don't know why- That's an upward strike. That's what I'm saying. I mean, the super kick's an upward strike too. Yeah, it's more of a lateral type. I mean, it's upward a little bit. But going into the jaw, dude, it's definitely an upward strike.
00:51:48
Speaker
Look at, look at a picture, any picture Sean Michaels doing. His foot is going up into the jaw. It's up, but it's just different. I wasn't watching wrestling when Randy Orton really got the punt over is like, you know, a super move and stuff. Um, so maybe I'd feel different about it, but

I know like anytime I've seen it, it looks like if it was a move in the middle of the match and nobody made a big deal out of it, I feel like it would just be another move. It would just be like a running kick. Yeah, nowadays it wouldn't do anything. Yeah, I think the power driver is definitely the movement.
