We move from Asia to Europe in the 7th leg of TAR 15! Many of the teams struggle with the tasks in this leg: from counting bells to golfing in wooden clogs. One team switches Detours multiple times and just cannot quite get the hang of either of them, resulting in them voluntarily quitting the race.

But that meant flight time and Big Easy were able to continue the race, which happy about. And thank goodness, because they were so entertaining this episode, and it was really funny.

Yeah. We have had so many teams up until now, they haven't had a lot of screen time. So now we're kind of seeing more of their personalities and why people love the Globetrotters so much.

so So we are in Dubai and Megan and Shane are the first to depart at 1.13 p.m. and it says to fly to Amsterdam then drive yourselves to Afschledijk which is a 19-mile causeway that connects North Holland and Friesland.

and find the Lely Monument to get your next clue. So Megan and Shane get to the airport and they find out that the flight to Amsterdam doesn't leave until midnight. So all the teams are going to catch up and be on the same flight.

Maria and Tiffany depart at 3.09, which is a whole two hours later. Last episode was not the fast forward, right? um no they But they didn't travel, so they there wasn't like an equalizer anything.

And then Sam and Dan at 310, Brian and Erica at 325, Gary and Matt at 334, and flight time in Big Easy at 420. So they were really lucky, four hours or three hours behind, to be able to make it on the same flight as everyone.

Arrival in Amsterdam and Car Challenges

um They land in Amsterdam, and they have to get in their vehicles and drive themselves. Brian struggles to figure out how to put the car into gear.

Don't tell me to calm down. yeah but um So these teams start arriving to this...

building and it's a roadblock and it says who's got strong legs and keen eyes so it's very obvious they're going to be climbing the steps and counting something yeah and it says climb the narrow staircase and through the maze of doors inside the tower's two floors counting the bells that make up the city's famed carillon if they come up the right answer which is 62 the carillon player will give them their next clue So the first two teams to arrive are Sam and Dan and Megan and Shane. And Sam and Megan do the roadblock and they decide to work together.

Then Flight Time, Matt and Tiffany are doing the roadblock pretty closely after. And then Erica shows up. So they're all doing the roadblock at the same time.

We went to that church in Reykjavik. Was it the Halgamskirka? Something like that. It's basically like the only church in Reykjavik. And it's like the only tall building. You you would recognize it.

oh And find this one, Mel, to find your next clue. Yes. And then simmon and Megan get it. And as they're going down the stairs, Sam tells Tiffany the number as she's going up the stairs. Because they've been working together. And he says it's smart because they're they're a team that we can beat.

So they want to keep them along. Yeah, get them into the finals. And then... When Sam and Dan and Megan and Shane get to the bottom of the bell tower, they hire a taxi driver to lead them to next place.

So they do get to the next place first, which is a detour. Yeah, it took Matt and Gary, like, asked for directions. And those people were very thorough, I think, because they were talking for a long time. But Matt and Gary had no issues getting there. yeah So they were not far behind.

um But yeah, the detour choices are Farmer's Game or Farmer's Dance. So for both choices, they have to dress in traditional Dutch clothes and ride bikes to where it starts.
Detour: Swimming, Golf, Dance, or Herring

um Farmer's Game is ride your bicycles to the nearby creek. Strip down to your Dutch underwear and swim across. On the other side, retrieve a special set of golf clubs and play three holes of farmer's golf.

You must take turns with each stroke and finish within par of eight strokes on each hole to receive the next clue. And then Farmer's Dance is um ride your bicycles to the nearby country festival where you will take turns hitting a high striker until one member can successfully hit the bell.

Enter the dance hall to learn a traditional Dutch folk dance, then perform it in front of a crowd. If the dance is to the instructor instructor's satisfaction, the team will get a member, no, each team member will get a serving of soused herring, which is basically pickled herring with onions on it, which they must eat in order to receive the clue.

And as much as I would hate to eat that fish, I would probably pick dance. The dance, yeah. Because we are definitely better dancers than we would be golfers. And it does specify that it's one serving.

Yeah, they were kind of struggling with the dance, but not really. Like, they could have done it. Yeah. But the fish thing changed their mind. Yeah, sealed the deal. So Tiffany gives their correct number, and so does flight time. Erica's the only one left, and she gives the number 43, so she has to go again.

And I'm pretty sure because when Zev and Justin took team or were team number one and got, what was it, like motorcycles or something something like that. So they got couple of toys already. yeah um Then Megan and Shane, they're kind of struggling with the golf. After Sam and Dan have finished the detour all together, they haven't even finished hole number one.

So before they go and learn the dance, they have to do that. Belle, what did you say? It's in the... description it's called a high striker so it's like if you think of an old carnival like the strongman thing where you like swing the hammer the mallet onto the thing and the little thing goes up and ding yeah at the top so they try and do that and they can't get the bell they try it over and over and over and over again they try 31 times And the way they do it, if you watch it, you think to yourself, are they even trying? Yeah. No wonder this is not working, especially Maria.

Obviously, they're trying. Why would they not be? But their technique or their... I don't even know. I can't even understand don't think was trying. It was kind of just like, what is going on here? Like, it would move up, like, a foot, maybe, on some of their attempts. And I'm like, what are you guys doing?
