it it's uh been a long a hard month kind of like it's just been busy so we didn't get quite our second batch out in on the same day but we're working we're working on it only a couple of days yeah and um this one today that we're talking about is season 18 episode 9 unfinished business um I watched it yesterday, and but I walked into Sadie's house and she was finishing the episode. yeah It's amazing like how fast I forget it without the notes. Because I was like, oh yeah, that happened.

I remembered the end, though. Yeah, i literally finished it like seconds ago. So, fresh on my mind. Yes, Sadie will be able to tell us everything. Well, there's a couple things I didn't write down, so I hope you wrote them down. Okay.

And the first team to arrive were Zev and Justin, so they'll be departing at 3.14 a.m. So travel by train to Feldkirk, Austria, and then cross the border at Schoenwald, located on the border, or located in Liechtenstein.

yes and keia is not feeling very well it doesn't They don't really bring it up again, so it doesn't seem to affect her very much. yeah But another thing that's notable, and Cord, once they read about the U-turn, they worry that they're going to be targeted. so Yeah, because ah some other teams say how we've kind of worked with other teams and teamed up with other people, but nobody's really teamed up with the Cowboys. they're kind of running their own race and doing their own thing.

Yeah. Which we've seen. We haven't seen anybody, like, form really strong alliances, but we've seen a little bit here and there of, like, yeah give giving clues and hints and stuff. Yeah. and the Cowboys have kind of been on their own because they, like, arrive on their own. Yeah, they're always, like, on a different flight or a different train. or So that makes sense, but.

And I think all the teams also know that they are a strong team and they do the tasks quickly and they always make comments about just like how efficient they are. So, um yeah, they do take a train to to so Switzerland, did you say? And then um then cross over into Liechtenstein.

It's winter right now as they're racing, so they can see like the nice snow and really experience it. it' like That would be so hard. like You want to be able to take in as much as you can, but also you're probably so exhausted and you just need to sleep.
Liechtenstein Roadblock Challenge

Yeah. Well, the train arrives and the team's getting taxis to cross the border into Liechtenstein. And when they get there, the clue is a roadblock. And i did not get a roadblock clue written down.

So it says, who's ready to give a measured response? Using a motorized bike, a map, and an odometer, the team member must measure the entire length of Liechtenstein.

which is 22 kilometers. So after the 22-kilometer ride, they must give their guess to the Olympic skier Marco Buccell, who is waiting for them at the end.

10, 15 miles? 13 miles. So it's not crazy. And it's at first, I missed the motorized part. I thought they had to bike, like cycle. And I was like, well, that's tough. But it's just like a little motorcycle. Yeah. But they can pedal it.

Yes. It's like an e-bike. It's like an e-bike, but not e. It's like an m-bike. Motorized bike. So Justin, Flight Time, Jen, Vixen, and Jet are the ones who do the roadblock.

They're all getting there and starting about the same time. When they get there, though, Gary and Mallory have their speed bump first. Yes. And they were a little bit behind. Their cab driver was a little bit slower. Yeah.

And that clue for the speed bump says um you must pump two liters of gasoline to achieve a mixture of 25 parts gas and one power oil.

And then that team member will use that gasoline to... Power their bike for the roadblock. And so they have to kind of figure out that math. Yeah, just kind of like figure out the ratio. It doesn't seem like it takes them more than five minutes. yeah so So then some teams kind of Some people doing the roadblock kind of struggle.

Jen drops her map, which is not good. Fly time goes the wrong but ground wrong way. jack gets lost Gary catches up to Jet and they say they're going to work together, but then Jet loses him. It doesn't seem like it was anything malicious. It seemed like they were on the busy street and like a bus was coming down the street and jeff Jet was kind of in front of the bus and Gary was behind and Gary like couldn't keep up with him and Jet just like kept going. Yeah. He's like, sorry, Gary.

it's not like he was like ditching him after he said he'd work with him. Yeah, but but also I think that... He made a mistake. Yeah, was a big time whoopsie for them, for their team.

So um Jen, because she had dropped her map, Justin comes up on her and they kind of team up and use Justin's map. And they get to this skier guy first and give their answers and they are both correct.

And then Jet comes next and he gives his answer and he guessed 35 kilometers and he is wrong. So he has to go back and he runs into flight time who also was going the wrong way. And so flight time was like, I'm probably also going to get it wrong.

Yeah. And Jet is like, jet is like Heading back. Fly time, I don't know. He, like, goes and gives the wrong answer and then has to go back himself.

So, heading back at different times. No, I don't think he ever made it to the finish. Like, he was going to go give his answer, but he ran into Justin and Jen. And they, he was like, is it 20? And they're like, no, it's 22.

Swiss Detour: Cheese Fondue or Luggage Delivery?

of them. Yeah. give that away. Because he would have had to repeat it, but he didn't. And... Because, yeah, Justin and Jen, they had to give the number to the guy at the end of the, like, the end of the route and then go all the way back and park their bike and then run up this hill to the castle where their teammate was waiting for them.

So when they did that and opened the clue there, it says travel but by bus and train to Zermatt, Switzerland, located at the base of the Matterhorn. Search the train station for your next clue.

And then that's when they go to the bus station and Flight drive past them. And they give them the clue. And Justin asks Jen, what would you have done if it was anyone besides Flight Time? And she said, not tell them.

Yeah. and as Flight Time is going back to give the right answer, he comes upon Gary and he tells Gary the answer.

feel like Gary would have gotten it anyway. Yeah. Yeah. But the only person that we know actually got it was Justin. Yeah. and then Jet eventually. Jet gets it on his second time.

But that did put them behind everybody else. So the first two teams. No, Vixen got it right. Without help. Oh, Vixen, yeah. So the first two teams, Zom, Justin, Keisha, and Jen were on a train to Switzerland.

And then there's another train, a second train that has everybody except for Jet and cord. Yeah. They're on the third train. So we're leaving Liechtenstein, which is not hard to do because it's not very big.

This is our first time to Liechtenstein. And it is 62.

ah only sixty two Yeah, only kilometers long. it's only square miles total. That's crazy. It only has 39,000 people. One of the least populated countries in the world. They speak German. It's located between Switzerland and Austria.

It's one of two countries in the world that are that is double landlocked. Which is an interesting What does that mean? It's land is landlocked by landlocked countries.

and eighteen Seems like we would have gone there more often than this. But yeah, Zermatt, we've been to Switzerland before, but Zermatt specifically, but it is at the base of the Matterhorn, which is one of the most recognizable peaks in the world.

So... The teams get on trains to Switzerland. When they get to the train station, they have a clue there and the choices, it's a detour and the choices are cheese or a wheeze.

Yes. And I didn't write this down. um And it's dark now. And I was wondering, I was like, oh, is there going to be ah an equalizer of some sort? Like, are things going to be closed? But they were not. Yeah.

um So cheese is ah they have to make their way to this restaurant and eat an entire pot of cheese fondue. Once they finish all the cheese, they'll be handed an empty pot with the clue printed inside.

And then wheeze is they have to deliver 20 pieces of luggage from the train station to at least five different hotels in Zermatt and collect a tag for each delivery. When they bring 20 tags back to the train station, the head porter will give them their next clue.

Yeah. And then if the pot looks too big and like we couldn't finish it, then switch immediately. Yeah. Because it was it was a lot of cheese. Yeah. um But OK.

Zev and Justin choose cheese and Justin is worried about it because was it the last last leg or two legs ago they had that one where they had to eat the schnitzel on the the per well Ferris wheel and they were not able to get through that but they had a very quick time limit on that one. So this fondue one they don't have a time limit. yeah And Zev really wants to eat the cheese.

Yeah. they go there and it is a pretty big pot of cheese, but they're like dipping huge chunks of bread with every bite. Yeah. And I was like, stop eating the bread. Just like eat the cheese. eat the cheese Yeah.

Yeah. I agree. They have plates and plates of bread brought to them. Yeah. And they have lots of cheese to eat and they use a lot of bread and not a lot of cheese on each bite of bread. Yeah.

And yeah, Justin doesn't really want to do it He says, I'm telling you, this is crazy. is the exact same thing we just did. And just and I was like, relax, we've been here for 15 seconds. And Keisha and Jen do a couple of bites. and Yeah, they initially pick this one and then to switch, switch pretty quick. And then the second train arrives and it has flight time, big easy, can fix in and Gary Mallory. They all choose wheeze.

And we get like the same situation of Vixen like doing all the physical labor and Kent just complaining. worrying Yeah.

um Zev and Justin are powering through and they're at a point where they say there's no turning back now. We have to finish. Yeah. Just not. And at one point Justin has to puke and they look really miserable. it looks like a lot of food. Yeah.

And then the third train arrives with Jet and Cord, and they choose Wheeze as well. So, Keisha and Jen end up delivering their last bag, and they're heading to the train station. At the same time, Zev and Justin are about finishing their cheese. And they have a timer on the screen that says they've been there for about 53 minutes eating cheese. So, both tasks take a long time.

Yeah. It just depends on what you want to do. sit and eat or like run around and deliver. Yeah. I mean, really like Zev and Justin were the first to finish technically. So.

So, like we said, those two teams finish the detour first and they get the clue and it says travel by electric taxi. Oh, before they get the clue, they get to the U-turn mat. and Oh, yeah. Zev and Justin decide not to U-turn. They know that they're ahead, like, first in the group when they don't need to.

So, it says travel by taxi to the Moose, mose mos I think they call it Moose restaurant, a Swiss chalet at the base of the Alps for the pit stop of this leg of the race.

So she tells him to get the car and she pulls him around to finish the detour.

Yeah, and the Cowboys did, it seems like they got through this task pretty quickly. They were hustling. They were not very far behind flight time and Big Easy. And it does make it look like the Globetrotters can't find the U-turn mat and Jet and Cord know where they're going. Yeah.

But Flytime and Big Easy do arrive there first and they do U-turn, Jet, and Cord. And they say it's tough because they like the Cowboys. They're one of their favorite teams, but they know that they're a strong team and they say it's either us or them. so And I would do the same thing if I was them. Mm-hmm.

Yeah. And so Jet and Court arrive to the mat and they see that they are U-turned. That means they have to go eat all that cheese. Yes. So Flytime and Big Easy are team number five. And it doesn't seem like... You don't even really see them do... Yeah, but it doesn't seem like they're as miserable as Zev and Justin. It kind of looks like they have like a beer even and they're like sitting back and relaxing it and enjoying a little bit more they probably know that they're last and they're either going to be out or it's going to be a non-elimination they'll be behind anyway but yeah they're just yeah smile they get to the pit stop and phil says you are the sixth team to arrive he kind of starts saying it as like it's going to be a non-elimination like the way he words it but they are eliminated

So we're saying goodbye the Cowboys. Yeah. As much as I would have liked to see them stay, like having a non-elimination after a W-turn would be one of those situations that's like, why? Why even do a W-turn? What was the point of that? Yeah.

And um it really was like such a tight leg. Yeah. And Jet really, like, Either you make good um relationships and have good alliances that you can benefit off each other or just, you know, get it right. Yeah. And they hadn't really made, like, fen friendships and he did roadblock wrong. and Yep. And he was the only one. There was no way to catch up, really. They worked really hard, no matter, even though they were behind.

But, yeah. And Jet at the mat says it's all his fault. Yeah. But the court says he's like, we're a team. I don't blame you. Yeah. I started this with him and I'm finishing with him. And yeah, it could have been, could have been anyone. It kind of reminds me of like the first roadblock of the season with the flags.

And like Jet took a really long time. We thought they were going to be out on season episode one. Yeah. But. Yeah, they definitely didn't. do as well this season as they did on their first season.

But we do see them again. They come back for ah season 24, think. Yeah. yeah We see them again. yep They... They are probably I don't know. I like all of the teams that are left. Kent and Vixen are my least favorite, and it's not that I don't like them. It's just I like everybody else more.
