Speaker: Hello, happy Thursday for you. Today is a Tuesday for me recording this. I am beyond excited to be sitting here recording this episode. It has been three weeks since I have recorded anything. Um, any interviews and I,

Speaker: have so much to share. And I'm very, very excited about today's solo. It's something that I, it's been on my heart for a few weeks now and even more so now. And so I can't wait to share with you. And I have so many updates as well.

Speaker: Just to share with you about the podcast and also about MBS Fitcode, there's been a lot of exciting things that have been happening in the last three weeks since the last time that I've actually recorded. So stick around for this episode because I have so much to share with you. And I hope that what I'm going to share today really, really resonates with a lot of you and that maybe it'll help you out just for me to kind of share what I've been going through personally.

Speaker: And if you're watching, yes, I cut my hair and I also got my nails done. And that is what I'm going to be talking about today a little bit is just self care and how important it is to stay in tune with who you are inside and out and to never lose sight of that and to continue to always do the things that make you happy.

Speaker: because again, I know that I've talked about it and I can say it over and over and over again is that you cannot continue to pour into the cup of others if you do not pour into yours first. So I know that on my last solo, I told you guys, I was like, you know, what's up with January? Like things are just not going good. And I realized for myself personally that this pull that I've been feeling since December,

Speaker: has been me shifting and a major, major shift in my life. And I fully see that now that that's what was going on. But just going back to, you know, that this year part of, you know, what I journaled about was that I was going to make this year the year of, you know, self care and me just

Speaker: taking care of myself and doing the little things that make me feel good, like getting my hair done or getting my nails done or going to the chiropractor regularly and making sure that

Speaker: I keep my diet in, in check and you know, getting my workouts in and doing a little bit more slower movement workouts and not so much hit training because I know that doing all of the hit training so much, you know, it really drains, you know, your cortisol levels and things. So just really, really tuning into me and in doing that just this month, just in the month of January, I've,

Speaker: internally felt a huge shift. I have not gotten my nails done or did anything to my hair, colored it, or even cut it. Whenever I say cut, I mean something other than a very baby trim, like just cut off the split ends in, I believe it's been three years, it might be longer. And I did that for many, many reasons.

Speaker: which I will share at a later time, but I have let, I don't want to say let myself go, but just maybe lost a little bit of who I am, you know, and the things that Pam likes to do or the things that Pam wants and that's not okay. And this is the first time in my life that I've let that go.

Speaker: and it didn't feel good. So I guess that is my word to you is that if you're at a place in your life where you feel like you've lost yourself or if you're not doing the little things for you that make you feel good, even if it's something like just getting your hair done. I know I have a lot of ladies that like hair extensions or, you know, getting mayonnaise and petties or,

Speaker: You know, just doing the little things that just make you feel good and you're not doing those anymore, then do them because that is self care. That is taking care of you. Another thing that I did, um, is something that I've wanted to do for many, many, many years and I've put it off because I was like, you know, I don't need to do that and whatever. So, um, I've always been very, very self -conscious about my eyes.

Speaker: and about a few moles on my face. And for years I've wanted to get it fixed, you know, with the puffy bags and stuff under my eyes. So that is why I have not been recording for the last three weeks is because earlier this month I had surgery on my eyes and I had moles removed. And so I've just been recovering and you know, it's something that has really, really boosted my confidence and

Speaker: you know, got me again, just back into this place of feeling good in my own skin and finding my confidence again and you know, just that self

Speaker: worth feeling, you know, of I am worthy, I am confident and I feel good. And, you know, I feel like myself, I have my hair done. I'm, you know, all of those things, all of those, all of the things that just make you feel good and make you feel like you can continue to conquer the world and to do all of the things that you have to do every day between work and if you're, you know, if you're married and children and

Speaker: you know, helping out with friends and family and just, we're always on the go. We're in such a busy, busy, busy life, but you always have to stop and do the things that make you happy first. And so that is, again, my message today is take care of you because you

Speaker: are the person that is going to be around for you the longest, right? You are your longest commitment. And without you taking care of yourself, then you lose it all. And so do the people around you. And so that's really important. I listen to a podcast.

Speaker: Um, that I don't listen to very often. And I just so happened to say the other day, you know, let me listen to this podcast. It's been a while. And on that episode that I picked, it was Rachel Hollis podcast. And I don't remember exactly what episode cause I would reference the reference the episode, but she was talking about

Speaker: resistance and what exactly that means and what that looks like in your life and how to combat it. And she mentioned this book and it's called the war of art by Steven Pressfield. Yes, Steven Pressfield. And if you're on looking on camera, you can see the book and she was like, whatever you're doing, stop right now and buy this book. You have got to read it. So I did.

Speaker: literally stopped in that moment while she was saying that and bought the book. I read this book in a day and a half. It's a very, very easy read, but it absolutely took my breath away and blew my mind. It called me out several times where I was like, okay, I hear you. And then other times I was like, yes, yes, yes, yes. So the way that it breaks it down is it talks about resistance in your life and

Speaker: Again, what exactly does that look like? Because there are things that are a form of resistance in your life that you may not necessarily think of it that way or look at it that way. And so it's broken down into books. So in the first book, it talks about resistance and defining the enemy. What is it? And what does it look like? How does it show up? And then in book two, it breaks down combating resistance.

Speaker: They reference turning pro. So it's all about what an amateur does and what a pro does when it comes to combating resistance. And then in the third book, it's beyond resistance and the higher realm. And this is when things got really, really deep.

Speaker: So if you are again at a place in your life where you're like me and you've been feeling like, you know, there's this tug of war or this, this pull of, you know, something's not right or, you know, or if you're, there's something that you want to do and there's just that, that resistance there, whether it's fear or whether it's, you know, worry, or if there is

Speaker: a certain person in your life that is, you know, that that is that resistance or if it's in the place that you're in, whether it's in your career and there's just that resistance there of, you know, there's more. This is the book for you. This is like it. And then even if you're not, even if you're not,

Speaker: just to have a full understanding of it and how to combat it and the difference between an amateur and a pro and the way that you look at resistance and tackle it. I could actually read, I know I folded so many pages in this book. I told a friend of mine, I was like, you know, I started folding pages like, oh, that one was really good. I said, and then I was literally folding almost every page and I was like, well, then I'm just going to stop because

Speaker: I'm, you know, I'm going to fold the whole book. So I quit, but just to kind of give you a couple of references. For example, it says a professional acts in the face of fear.

Speaker: The amateur believes he must first overcome his fear, then he can do his work. A professional knows that fear can be overcome. He knows that there is no such thing as a fearless warrior or a dread -free artist. What Henry Fonda does after puking into his toilet in his dressing room is to clean up and march out on stage.

Speaker: He's still terrified, but he forces himself forward in spite of his terror. He knows that once he gets out into the action, his fear will recede and he'll be okay. And so it's just the things like that. And I know that, you know, I've said it many, many times is to act in fear. You know, fear is the best way to go after things is if it scares the hell out of you, then you should do it.

Speaker: You know, it talks about that, you know, resistance and self -doubt, resistance and fear, resistance and unhappiness, you know, resistance and victimhood, resistance and your choice of mate, resistance and, you know, and trouble and self -dramatization, resistance and sex. It talks about so many things. So I just wanted to share that book with you because it

Speaker: It was very eye opening for me and I am going to continue to hold onto this book so that way any and every time I feel even the slightest amount of resistance starting to set in that I can pick that book up just as a reminder that I need.

Don't just wear it, live it. All right, now let's dive back into this episode. So I wanted to share that with you. I also wanted to share that my word for the year is align.

Speaker: for very, very, very specific reasons. And I chose this word because since September, I have felt the presence of God in the universe in my life in a way that I've never felt it before. And how things have just seemed to have been clicking or just falling in the place. And I've had those feelings before, but never to this extent where it just continues to happen.

Speaker: little things that the synchronicities over and over and over again and even more so this month has just blown me away with the way that God is working and just making making the way so My word to you on this is that

Speaker: It has taken me a really, really long time to listen to my intuition. And I knew that it's always been there, you know, but I've always been that person that, you know, I had a friend that sent me something off a TikTok the other day and it made me laugh because she's like, this is so you.

Speaker: It's like whenever you pray about something or you ask God and you say, please give me a sign or should I do this? Is this the right thing to do? Is this what it's meant for me? And the guy picks up the microphone and he's like, God is like, yes, into the microphone. And then you're like, okay, but wait.

Speaker: you know, can you give me another sign? Can you say it again? And so like, it's that, you know, he gives you a very clear answer and your intuition that is saying, you know, guests do this or no, that's not right for you or whatever. And then you're like, can you tell me again? And I think I've been doing a really good job of leaning in a little bit more and listening

Speaker: And after this month and the things again that I have seen every day when I am just completely mind blown by the work and the acts of God in my life, I know that I will be leaning in and listening and trusting that intuition and listening to those synchronicities a whole lot more now. And so again, what I'm going to encourage you to do is to do the same thing.

Speaker: is to listen. And if you feel something one time, if you feel it, if you feel like something is not right, or if you feel like something is right, or, you know, a thing that you should or shouldn't do, a place that you should or shouldn't go, a person that you should or shouldn't have in your life, listen, listen to those synchronicities, listen to your intuition and act on it.

Speaker: you don't have to continue to wait or ask for another sign or, you know, tell me again, or, you know, I'll sit around and wait. Don't wait. Just listen and lean in. I also, and I'm pulling up my phone to check my notes because there was so much that I wanted to share today with you. And so I'm sorry. I'm just trying to wrap my head around all of the information and all of the, the things that I'm wanting to share and

Speaker: I'm going to share more later some other things that I do want to share that I don't want to share just yet. But let me talk about tomorrow. I am interviewing the person that is going to be on next week's interview. So you have got to, got to, got to stick around for next week.

Speaker: Please listen to next week's episode. I have already pre interviewed this person. She is the most incredible woman. Gosh. And I don't want to tear up and talking about it. Y 'all just have to listen in. She is going to, and I'm sure there will be many laughs and, you know, and smiles and heartwarming.

Speaker: things and tears next week. I know that there will be so you better grab a box of tissues next week because you're going to need it when you hear this woman's story. So I am so excited to be able to interview her and to allow her to open up and she is ready to fully, fully open up and commit to

Speaker: speaking on her struggle and what she's, what she's going through in her life and what she's experienced and what she is currently going through. And she is going to, I hope, my hope and my prayer for this interview is that she changes your life. And, and if not changes your life completely. Um, if you already have a relationship with God, I pray that she makes that relationship even closer.

Speaker: and maybe open some eyes. And I hope that we can all be present with her next week. As far as MBS FITCO goes, I have officially put down the deposit for the first inventory order and surreal

Speaker: is I did that's not even a good I don't even know how to explain the feeling that I feel of in doing that. I'm so excited. And

Speaker: So I'm just, I'm so excited. So next month will officially start pre -launch. So if you are not already on the VIP list, make sure you get on it. Cause I think I said it before, but the pre -launch will only be for VIP members.

Speaker: at least for a full week. And if we do not sell out, then I may open it up to the public. The thing to know is that this first inventory order is going, it's a very, it's a lot smaller order because I'm wanting to fill it out and see what you guys think about the products and the pieces that I've picked. Because again, there's going to be three pieces if you choose a whole set. And I'm just looking for feedback. I'm so excited to see if everyone

Speaker: loves it and thinks that the quality is just as amazing as I do before I, you know, go and order more or maybe change some things up and get some different pieces. We'll have to see how pre -launch goes, but so get on the VIP list and on the VIP list. Also, there's going to be a discount code that is going to be sent to everyone. And once I do push it out to the public, if I do offer a discount code, it will not be as high as for the people on the VIP list.

Speaker: as well. And so all of the packaging and the tags, all of that is complete. Everything looks so good. And I also will have on my next solo episode, I am going to have another really, really, really big announcement about MBS Fitco and the future.

Speaker: of the company. So stay tuned for that. I will be recording that episode, if not this weekend, the following one of the two so that way it'll air on the next solo episode. So not

Speaker: So this episode is going to air on February 1st. So it is February 1st. That is even better than I'm discussing this today. So you can start off on a good note for February and going forward into the rest of the year. That makes, see, once again, when I tell you God is just, he is aligning everything in my life, the right people, the right places, the right things to say at the right time, that makes my heart happy.

Speaker: This episode will air February 1st. The interview will be February 8th. And then the next solo February 15th is when I'm going to be making the really big MBS Fitco announcement, a secret that I've been keeping for an entire month. So I cannot wait to share that. I have been sitting at the edge of my seat waiting to share this information. So I'm so excited. I'm excited for myself going forward into this year.

Speaker: I feel really, really, really good about myself because I've been doing all of the little things just to make me feel good. And again, just going back to, again, just the little things. Just yesterday and getting my hair done, gosh, I felt like a whole new person.

Speaker: especially to again, it's because it's been so long. It just, the little things that just lift you up, you know, especially on the days when, you know, when you're down and out or the times when you're down and out, those, those little things just to help you feel good. So continue to do those. I know I'll be scheduling.

Speaker: a massage appointment soon. I just realized that we have a bar studio here locally that I found out about yesterday that I am so excited. I was just telling a friend of mine that, cause I do bar through my beach body program. And I was like, I really wish that there was a studio that I can go do bar. And I saw one yesterday and I was so excited. So I'm going to be trying that out and

Speaker: Just trying out some different things that I haven't done, maybe doing hot yoga. I've always wanted to do that. And like I said, going to the chiropractor regularly, scheduling massages, doing the things for you that make you feel good. Fill your cup. Fill your cup. And I will continue to tell you that over and over and over again. And get the book, The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. I promise you, you will not be disappointed when you read this book.

Speaker: so very eye opening and just to help in combating that resistance and how to look at it and how to recognize it and to get it out of your life and get it out of your way.

Speaker: So with all of that being said, happy February. Happy February 1st to you. I hope that you have an amazing weekend and you know, and week next week. Stay tuned for next week's episode for the interview. I cannot wait. I cannot wait until tomorrow to be able to chat with this incredible, incredible woman and

Speaker: That's all I have for today. I was so excited to be able to share this information with you and I will have so much more to come.

Speaker: And stay tuned. I'm sure on the next episode, February 15th, I'll probably have more information on exactly when prelaunch is going to be. I'm going to officially set a prelaunch date very, very soon. So if I don't announce that next episode, when prelaunch is going to start, then I will definitely be announcing it by February 15th. I just have a few more things to do this week to officially decide on the exact date that we're going to start prelaunch.

Speaker: That's really exciting. So stay tuned. So, so many exciting, good things are coming. Good things are coming. And I'm just, I'm so, I'm so blessed and I'm so thankful and I'm so grateful. I'm so grateful for God and the way that he's working in my life right now. And I hope you are too. And I'll pray for you as well. And just remember,
