So we made that and Just watch football and drinks beer man.

Podcast Consolidation and Listener Boost

00:01:00
Speaker
Pretty much a perfect Sunday. Okay, and can't beat it Yeah, man, some quick behind the microphone news for you guys. The goal line specific podcast feed did get sundown. The more we went on, it it just made sense to kind of consolidate on one feed with the Chick Foli Show where you guys are listening right now. And just business-wise, it made sense too. It was going to cost us double to host a second podcast. and
00:01:26
Speaker
We're going to make a renewed push to, uh, to get some more sponsorship and stuff to the show. So we can get some hookups to get back to you guys and, you know, get a little something in our pocket just to kind of make the time worthwhile. Cause me and Jordan do spend a, for as much as it sounds like we come up here and just going off the cuff, we spend a ton of time through the weekend getting prepared.
00:01:42
Speaker
and putting the work into this show. I do want to thank you guys, man. Unbeknownst to us, we were featured on the Spotify homepage last week and saw a huge boost in listeners, man, for this show and the Chick-Foli show, our wrestling podcast that we do. I want to say thanks to all the new listeners. Appreciate you guys being here and let us know what you like, man. Jordan, you got anything else before we get into the show? No, man. That's it. Let's get it going.
00:02:13
Speaker
All right.

Tennessee Vols and College Football Overview

00:02:14
Speaker
We're going to start with Seth's teams this week because it was his birthday. And, uh, once I get into Huskers this week, it's going to, it's going to be a ah Homer Fest. So, um, uh, Vols went on Saturday, uh, moved back and they're going to make the playoffs, assuming they don't lose this next game. dude It ain't going to be an easy one though, man. Maybe it's far from, from a gimme. They've been very frisky this year, dude. Yeah. Um,
00:02:39
Speaker
dude, Tennessee is such a weird team. I just, every time I watch them, I'm like impressed by them. And then I'm like, are they really this good though is the problem. But then again, it's is very inconsistent. Then again, that's the thing about college football this year. Like who really is that great? There's not a truly great team, man. You know, that's what it was, uh,
00:02:59
Speaker
I'm sure we're going to get into their games, but that was why it was so stunning seeing, uh, seeing Alabama lose, you know, cause it felt like, you know, neutral playing field, line them all up. I don't know if Alabama is not the team I'm picking with my life on the line to, to beat anybody. You know what I mean? But yeah, man, great day for Tennessee. Like you said, they were slow starting out the gate. Uh, I saw the announcers, they were kind of blaming it on the overcast. It did kind of work out that as soon as the sun came out, the offense really got going.
00:03:25
Speaker
but I'm with you, man. Their, their ah offense, it's been very streaky when it's on, you know, Nico can literally get the ball to any spot on the field and they got some really, really fast playmakers out there. Uh, but their defense is going to carry them in. The defense is the absolute heart and soul of this team this year. They, they, it's been pretty bad-ass, you know, outside of the second half against Georgia, the defense has almost always been able to get a stop when the walls needed it. and You know, they got a ton of help from our, you know, the friends down in Florida taking out Ole Miss. It was just between Ole Miss and Alabama losing, Indiana getting their

Titans' Strategy: Draft Pick vs Playoffs

00:03:53
Speaker
doors blown off. It was a perfect football Saturday for the Vols. We'll just talking and take away all the stories for us to talk about in college football when we're talking about just Tennessee. Just touching the wave caps. Jesus. ah Titans win yesterday.
00:04:07
Speaker
Dude, I have mixed feelings about them winning, even though I'm not a Titans fan. They need the absolute highest draft pick they can get right now to help with this team. So it's like, you never want your team to just completely throw it in, but it's just, dude, they need to lose. That's the fucking problem. Like, cause everybody that's finishing ahead of them needs the exact same thing that they're going to need is the prior that's going to end up higher than them. And draft is going to need the exact same thing they're going to need. And I was a little bittersweet, man. i At the end of the day, I'm kind of with you, dude. i just You kind of just take it for what it is and enjoy it. The thing is, you only get 17 games to watch your team each season. And winning in the NFL is so tough, man. like no matter Especially when you're a fan of a team like that the Falcons or the Titans. So I just appreciate it for what it was mind it was. I was fully entertained. It was a really, really exciting game. ah and yeah you know you know And you never know what could happen with the draft position, man. i mean
00:05:03
Speaker
it's a long season. The draft's far from a guarantee. So, uh, but yeah, it definitely, you know, when you kind of, I think, what was, I think they stumbled to eighth or ninth in the draft now. No, they're they're not that deep. I do have something in the show notes for us to talk about the top 10 of the draft. So we'll, we'llll we'll, we'll hit into that later. Um,
00:05:21
Speaker
Well, yeah. Hey, we'll let us been turned on to you. Like I said, do they got their ass tore out the frame by the lines a couple of weeks back, but the Titans have been playing some good football. I'm on the Tennessee Titans Reddit forum. There's people already, you know, kind of laying out the groundwork for them to get to, I mean, it if you look at it game by game, right? Obviously if you think, okay, but can the Titans finished nine and eight? It's like, hell no. But if you actually look at the schedule, it's not entirely possible. There's a couple of tricky spots, but it's,
00:05:49
Speaker
you know, it's at least conceivable, man. The tight, the Texans continue this collapse. And what they're hoping for is that, you know, week 18, we get the eight and eight Titans against the eight and eight Texans with the division on the line. I'll tell you what, I'll tell you what I'll make this promise to you right now. If the Titans went out and made the playoffs, I'll buy playoff tickets and I'll come down there and we'll go to the Titans playoff game. We'll let this QB rating is above a hundred the last three weeks. Solid. Yeah.
00:06:18
Speaker
um Yeah. Anything else touch on about Titans? No, I just, it's yeah. I'm really, I like what I've seen since this lines game. Cause it was starting to feel like, dude, like is, is Brian Callahan going to be a freaking one and done coach, man? It was looking pretty rough that first, that first month and a half of the season. So I'm glad that we're seeing some progress from the team overall and specifically will love us. Yeah. They're playing hard.
00:06:43
Speaker
Okay. Uh, no Falcons

Nebraska's Bowl Eligibility After Eight Years

00:06:45
Speaker
game this weekend. So I don't have to be depressed about that. Huskers win and become bull eligible for the first time in eight years. Now I know going to a bull game is not the ultimate goal in college football right now, but dude, they needed this so fucking bad.
00:07:00
Speaker
Like, you know, dude, I think the bowl games, they've become under, and they've become underrated over the years. Cause obviously now it's, you know, especially for a a big story program like Nebraska, you feel like, dude, we should be playing for conference championships and going to the playoff. But dude, bowls are always fun and bowls give you a chance to end the season on a happy note, man, for, you know, the 12 teams to make the playoffs, 11 of them were are ending this season, walking off the field with their head down.
00:07:23
Speaker
Whereas, you know, you win, you know, I mean, I don't even know what the kind of mid tier bowls are anymore. You know, you win the minicky car care bowl. You feel like you got a little bit of a bit of juice sitting into the off season and, you know, some of it, hopefully some of that carries over. Well, one of the things I read was, uh, Nebraska playing in the music city bowl against LSU. If they plan the music city bowl, I'm fucking going like there's just gotta be fun, dude, going to Nashville, um, for New Year's. Yeah. I'm a hundred percent going to go to that game. That game usually doesn't sell out either, man. You can usually get free tickets for that. But yeah, it being in Nashville, Nebraska, if it's Nebraska and LSU, that's going to be a popular ticket, man. that's That'd be a fun trip right after Christmas. Nebraska fans are going to buy all the bowl tickets no matter where they play. I've seen Phoenix. I've seen Tampa. I've seen Nashville. I've seen New York. Nebraska fans are buying them tickets. like they're Keep buying Music City Bowl, man. That'd be fun, dude. Yeah, dude. It'd be cool.
00:08:18
Speaker
Um, but yeah, that that's really it. Like did they just needed to take a step forward and get back to a bull game more than anything. So, um, yeah, that's, that's really it for Husker talk. Uh, real quick before we move into something else, man, let's set the table with where we're at right now in this Monday night football game. It's a, we actually got a really good game going on for a change, man. We've got four minutes left in the third quarter. Ravens went in 17, 16. What's been your read on this one so far? The, uh, the horrible.
00:08:42
Speaker
It felt weird. Like the first quarter of this game just felt like the Ravens were not into this game at all. And ever since then, I feel like they're playing great football. I think the Ravens end up winning this game. They need this game. They need this. I feel like we could totally see this get run back in the playoffs. the Ravens

Weekend College Football Upsets

00:09:01
Speaker
need this game bad. Yeah, they do. They don't need to go to seven and five, man. For as good as they've been, you know, we like to say all the time, the old par sales maximum for you are what your record says you are, man. And five losses is way too many for as good as we've seen this team play at times. Yeah. But I think it's going to be close to the end. So, um, let's talk about all the teams that lost on Saturday.
00:09:23
Speaker
dude, this was one of the best college football weekends I can remember in a long time. Like exciting, just absolute excitement. So you had Indiana lose to Ohio state, which that's not an upset the next three or four upsets, Alabama lost, uh, Ole Miss lost Texas A and&M lost in Colorado loss. The Colorado one to me is like the most ah to me, it's the most significant ah just because I felt like this team had all the momentum and I did say it last week. I was like, dude, Kansas is a dangerous team right now. They finally got healthy. They destroyed them. They just ran over them. It wasn't close. Colorado played pretty good first half, but the the second half, man, the, uh,
00:10:08
Speaker
It looked like what we thought Colorado was going to look like this year, just soft. And like they absolutely, like you said, they could not stop them whatsoever, man, on defense data. It got pretty ugly, man. Dude, Kansas is playing awesome. They got three straight wins over ranked opponents. You know, Florida is doing the same down in the SEC. I almost feel like, dude, let's, let's do a straight up wildcard. Let, uh, let Kansas and Florida play last game of the season and the winner we throw in it as as a true wildcard into the college football playoff. Cause I don't think any team across the country wants to see either one of those two squads right now. The craziest thing too is, is, uh, Kansas has beat three straight teams that had a college football playoff hopes. Like, yeah. Yeah. They're being good teams, man. And I don't know if I saw this correctly or not, or have you, have you heard this too? So I saw something that if the big 12 champion does not finish above, I think it was 16 big 12 doesn't even get a team in the college football playoff.
00:11:06
Speaker
Yeah, there's a cap. there I forget what the extra minute is, but there is a cap on how low you can be and still get one of the automatic berths with the the conference win, which yeah, it's looking kind of iffy, man. You assume somebody's going to get hot down these last couple of weeks and they only got one more week at a conference. Dude, this is the last week of regular season. Yeah. Yeah. This is the last full slate of games. And then you got conference championships next Saturday, dude. This is it.
00:11:29
Speaker
Like, yeah, I don't know if anybody can get hot enough to to move up enough. I mean, I guess, you know, it's college football, dude. There's always a lot of politicking, man. I feel like, you know, maybe we see something that looks a little sketch with these, uh, with the rankings this week and and we see somebody get pumped up. Who, who is top rated right now? Cause Iowa state lost again. Also, man. Um, right now it is Iowa state didn't lose this weekend though.
00:11:54
Speaker
They did. Oh, I thought, I thought I saw, I would stay be Utah this weekend. So Iowa state will be the top ranked team. Uh, cause did BYU, BYU lost again to Arizona state. yeah ah that must be Arizona state is going to be the team. That's the top ranked team out of the, yeah. And they're getting hot. Arizona state's for playing we probably be right around the 17, 18 range. If I had to guess.
00:12:15
Speaker
And this was on NCAA, I just hit the custom conferences and I would just quickly move SMU into the Big 12, man. It just, it makes more sense anyways, right? Dude, SMU's gonna end up making the playoff, I think. like Oh yeah, I agree. they're They're gonna be ranked as high as 9 or 10 this week. They're probably gonna make it, man.
00:12:32
Speaker
Um, uh, Indiana talk about catching the break of all breaks this week. They look like absolute shit. And we just talked about it last week. They just can't get blown out. They got blown out. Good thing for them. Those are rails lost. So like, yeah.
00:12:48
Speaker
I mean, but it was a bad loss. I didn't think it it wasn't 50 to nothing though. You know what I mean? I mean, Ohio State clearly outclassed them, but it wasn't a complete like, you know, oh Indiana hung tough really for the first, ah you know, first almost two quarters. um But yeah, they everybody else kind of felt kind of fell short too. So yeah.
00:13:07
Speaker
I think they're going to get in now, assuming they don't lose this weekend. I think they're in no matter what. i'd love to see I'd love to see them head to Knoxville for that first round, man. It's good. I think India is getting dropped by whoever they play. It's going to be interesting, dude. like No matter what, the this is making the college football playoff that much more interesting because also they were talking about it yesterday. Man, do you really want to be the team that goes to the SEC championship game and possibly loses and gets their third loss? like That's what I did. I really, it's you know, they said that they're going to have considerations for that. I really feel like they need to put, if I was doing it, I would say we put out the week before, like this is exactly what the playoffs are going to be. And maybe you drop in seating, you know what I mean? But I don't think a team that was in the week prior gets bumped out just because they lose. You know what I mean? Yeah. It's going to be very interesting to see what happens.
00:14:02
Speaker
Um, that's it for college. Let's, let's talk some

Eagles' Performance and Saquon for MVP

00:14:05
Speaker
NFL now. Let's start with last night, dude. I'm getting more and more impressed by the Eagles every week. They're tough. They beat the shit out of the Rams last night. and Yeah. And the Rams don't lose like that often. but yeah they don't Rams are our a well coached team, man. Yeah. It's going to be a true clash of the Titans when you feel like all roads lead to them and Detroit, um, in the playoffs, unless we get a major upset. Cause Quite frankly, they're the two best teams in the league right now, man. I mean, the Ravens have shown, you know, when the Ravens are, are, are doing the Ravens thing, they're, they're right there with them, but they've been, they've had a lot of inconsistency so far this year. Um, yeah. And then Philly, yeah. Philly and Detroit, that's the class of the NFL. Yeah, dude. They're both really good teams. Um,
00:14:48
Speaker
Man, Saquon. Dude. Killer, dude. He was good with the Lions, right? Like he was definitely good. Giants. But ah yeah, with the Giants. But he was good with the Giants. But it's it's insane how much better he's been with the Eagles, man. it Really makes you feel like, dude, he almost like wasted those first those first years of his career. So I screenshotted this today because I thought this is what this was interesting. Through 12 weeks,
00:15:15
Speaker
Saquon is outpacing what Adrian Peterson did in his MVP season. So through 12 weeks, Adrian Peterson had 1236 yards rushing. Saquon has 1392. Adrian Peterson had 185 yards receiving. Saquon has 257. AP had seven touchdowns and Saquon has 12 total touchdowns like Dude, I think Saquon is going to be in the running for MVP at the end of this season the season. Especially the Eagles keep winning and they're probably going to be playing and they're going to be in the mix for that by most likely all the way till the end of the season. So I don't think he's going to, I don't think he's going to be shutting it down with two weeks left, man. Like, yeah, we could see the greatest running back numbers we've ever seen before. This is insane, man. It's just the top three running backs in the NFL were three guys that their team either didn't want to pay or didn't think it was worth paying. You got
00:16:07
Speaker
Uh, say Quan, Derek Henry and Josh Jacobs are the top three running backs in the NFL right now. It's just, yeah, it's wild, man. they They all went to a better situation. Yeah. Renaissance year for the running back position, man. Fairness of the Titans. It would kind of, it was kind of just the time for them to part ways. It was time. And you know, the Titans gave a a big contract to Tony Pollard, dude. He's been balling too, man. Tony Pollard's got 800 yards rushing so far this season. Yeah, no, that was not me ripping on Titans. That was more, yeah that was more giants and Raiders, uh, targeting yeah more than anything. Yeah, it's a, it, it's been a ah big year for the running backs, man. I don't know if it's enough to really turn the tide, but I don't know, dude, like I get it. Premium wide receivers seem like they're tougher to find. But if, if I'm not the GM, if I'm the head coach and you give me an option for a badass wide receiver or just a beast mode running back, I think I'm taking the running back, dude. I feel like those running backs, like, like, yeah, the great receivers are awesome to have, but I feel like the running backs can really just set a tone um for your entire team and they just get the ball more. You know what I mean? Like the good running back is touching the ball 20 plus times a game. Whereas your wide receivers, you know, it's a big deal for wide receiver gets 10 catches in a game.
00:17:16
Speaker
Yeah. I mean, you just turn around and hand the ball off to him. Like it's just, yeah, it's a, yeah. Good year for running. I love to see it, man. Yeah.

49ers' Troubles vs Seahawks' Defense

00:17:24
Speaker
Uh, another stomping the Packers, 49ers are in deep, deep trouble. Now, man, and I one-lined the Niners data. They're just, you know, Brock Purdy getting hurt was like the, like the, the end of the road, man. Uh, they just, you know, Christian McCaffrey's fumbling. I think, I think it's going to be before next season for, he's really back at a hundred percent. Um,
00:17:46
Speaker
Devo, the drop and passes that lead to interceptions. Like, yeah, man, they I was big on the Niners, man. I didn't think they were going to have this much of a Super Bowl hangover, but clearly they do, man. it's They got a retool. I got faith they're going to be able to get it back together. That's a a really well-run organization, but it's definitely been the season from hell so far for San Francisco.
00:18:04
Speaker
Yeah. Um, I'm, I'm still not sure what to think about the Packers. Even after that game, like it didn't change my opinion on them. I'll just say that I just, I think the 49ers were coming in and walking wounded man, especially with Brock Purdy going out middle of the week. Um,
00:18:20
Speaker
crazy One thing about the Niners though, dude, you know I'd love to be proven wrong about this because i'm I'm still a big Kyle Shanahan fan. Nobody's run away with the with the the West. you know We thought the Cardinals were going to do it, and then they end up losing that game to the Seahawks yesterday. So i mean it's if the Niners can get right, it's they don't got a very big hill to climb to to make it back to the playoffs. And you know all bets are off once you get to January.
00:18:42
Speaker
did where that led me right into my next one was the Seahawks. Their defense is playing at an elite level. The last three games, like this is what you hire a defensive head coach for is for your defense. Well, man, they're, they're playing good football. Defense playing good. Gino's tough as nails, dude, like playing with a lot of confidence. Like, yeah, that's another place you don't want to go in January, dude, up to Seattle. That is not going to be an easy place to win. No, not at all. Um, Oh, what?
00:19:13
Speaker
I'm a couple seconds behind you, don't spoil it. See Lamar dropping back to pass, fires in the end zone. That was a touchdown. How did he call that incomplete? They said he was out. I think that's clearly a touchdown, man. That's not even close. I mean, the ref was kind of behind the play. He wasn't seeing it from the same angle we were, but that looks pretty clear to me. That's not even close, dude. He was two feet. Yeah, they got it. They got it right on me. It looked like his knee was down. It looked like you had a knee down inside. They got it.
00:19:39
Speaker
Um, okay. So yep. Seahawks look really good. Dude. The bears just keep finding new ways to lose, man. I feel bad for ah Caleb Williams has played really well. He's playing good man. Don't look at the numbers. If you watch him play Caleb Williams is he's really playing his ass off.
00:19:55
Speaker
Yeah, it's, I feel bad for that team, man. They just find new ways to lose each week. Um, let's talk about the Thursday night game.

Thanksgiving NFL Games Anticipation

00:20:03
Speaker
Did in the snow is just absolutely beautiful football to watch. It's just, it's so, I don't know, man, just watching the snowfall and Jamis is just a little kid, man. he He really is. He's just a little kid that loves playing football.
00:20:19
Speaker
I love Jamis. I can't say nothing about him. The Browns and Jamis locked up the the cover art before you know Sunday games you can kick off. There was nobody else it could be. that That's like one of the coolest photos too. so yeah so It was a great game. man Like he said, AFC North football, man. and Yeah, this, you know, Steelers coming off a tough win four days later, having to go up there. That's always, you know, Cleveland fans always bring it. That was definitely going to be a tough spot for them. and And it worked out for the Browns, man. But yeah, James running for that touchdown. There's a slow motion, like NFL film style video that just, it looks like one of the coolest plays ever when James ran that touchdown in. It is really cool. um And then the last thing I want to touch on was the Cowboys.
00:21:02
Speaker
One of my best friends is a Cowboys fan. He's like, this team can't even tank properly. Like, I mean, they're, they're winning at this point. These are meaningless wins. Like dude, anybody that's in the top 12 of the draft is, if you're winning right now, it's such a meaningless one at this point. Um, Well, especially if you're in the division like them, where you got the Eagles running away with it, man. I mean, some of these teams still are, you know. They're so hard. A two game win streak away from getting right back in the mix. But yeah, the Cowboys, there's absolutely no hope, man. But that was a wild ass game, dude. I could not believe doing the Red, the commanders hit that freaking long touchdown just to miss the extra point. Absolutely brutal. Yeah, it was wild.

Race for NFL Number One Draft Pick

00:21:41
Speaker
Um, let's go for the race to number one and then we'll get into everything else. Uh, as of right now, it goes Jacksonville, uh, New York giants, Vegas, Vegas is not winning another game. That team has gone awful. They're horrible. Yeah. Um, I say that, and then I'm gonna go out there and watch the Falcons lose to Desmond Ritter, uh, New England, Carolina, Tennessee, the jets, Cleveland, New Orleans, and Cincinnati. I just.
00:22:12
Speaker
Man, there are some good teams that are picking in the top 10 that should not be. Jacksonville should not be. I wonder if you think Jacksonville gets Travis Hunter, man? 100%. If they get the number one pick, they're taking Travis Hunter, and it's the right pick. I listened to, so Todd McShea, you remember the old draft expert on ESPN? He's got his own podcast now, and I listened over the weekend, he did a big breakdown on Travis Hunter and they're almost convinced that unless, you know, Travis Hunter's team or his age or something says like we have to play defense. or We have to play both ways. They think his future is as a wide receiver. Yeah, that yeah yeah they say He grades out really, really good as a quarterback, but he grades out like outstanding, like almost a perfect grade as a wide receiver. so and He had mentioned that you know you could do you could play offense or you could play defense and have a package of plays on offense. It just it doesn't work like that going back the other direction. so
00:23:04
Speaker
and It'll be interesting to see how that plays out, man. I i mean, I get what Travis Hunter would want to do that just for you know the marketability, right? That's something that's really going to set him apart and help out with the sponsorships and stuff. But ultimately, I don't think anything's going to make him more money than the success on the field. NFL is just not like the NBA from that standpoint. you know like the The individual players just Unless you're a paint man or a Tom Brady, they're just not getting those those big money endorsements like that. So I think him going out, just being an all pro wide receiver is where the big bucks are really at for him. I agree. Yeah. That's it for stories this week. Unless you got something you want to talk about. No, that's it. Let's get to Uniwatch.
00:24:05
Speaker
All right, as we get towards the end of the season, you know, we've already seen most of the alternates at this point, so a little bit lighter. Do get three teams this week, one from college. We had Clemson rocking out the rarely used all purple uniforms, man. What do you think of these?
00:24:18
Speaker
Yeah, I mean, they're fine. I just, I would prefer clums into where they're normal colors. I don't really, I don't really have a stance one way or another on these. Honestly, Clemson's another one of those teams that keeps it, they have a really clean uniform and they very rarely do the alternate so much that it's almost just jarring when they do it. You know, there's kind of like a, you don't necessarily want to be like Oregon where you have a different uniform every single week.
00:24:41
Speaker
um And then, you know, if you wear the same uniforms all the time, then that's just what you're known for. And it just stands out almost too much when you, when you do the alternate, I kind of think Clemson's definitely in that zone. We had the bears rocking what feels like they're like third or fourth different alternate this season. They had the old school, like, you know, almost Michigan Wolverine style helmets on. What'd you think of Chicago? I mean, we've seen these like 10 times now that they're fine. It just kind of is what it is. Like, They're definitely better than the aren't ailments. Oh, by far. But again, but why do the bears need to rock alternates all the time? Like, dude, just they got one of the best uniforms in the NFL. I just don't get it, man. It just makes no sense.
00:25:18
Speaker
And then last but not least, our buddy Hawk was in the house to see the Colts rock their Duke Blue Devil tribute gear. These are terrible. I do not like these. Agreed, man. they steve The Colts are another team, dude. Perfect perfect uniforms, man. there's just There's no need to mix these up. And these are just, they don't look like the Colts, man. The Colts have never had black as part of their color scheme at all. So I don't know where they even came up with this at. Yeah, Indiana Knights, not a good jersey. that Those are terrible. I don't like them at all.
00:25:47
Speaker
All right, let's get to our last round of regular season college picks for the
00:26:09
Speaker
All right, let's start off with a really big game I think this is gonna be a tough one for Clemson man They got South Carolina coming into town Clemson fighting for their playoff life, you know ACC championships still in play um College football playoffs still in play But this is a really really good South Carolina team that they got coming in This is always a heated rivalry. Anyway, so there's your read on that They're not fighting for an ACC title. SMU is, well, as long as Miami wins this weekend, it's Miami and SMU for the ACC title because Clemson's already played all their ACC games. This, this is, yeah, but I'm saying it's still in. Oh, you're right. So this this is a meaningless game and whether or not they make the ACC championship or not, if Miami wins, they're in.
00:26:49
Speaker
All right. So it's still still after a very, very big game though, as far as playoffs, but yeah, as far as ACC championship game, it's not meaningful at all. But, um, dude, South Carolina has played really well. I just think Clemson needs this. South Carolina could make the playoff too. If they win this game, man, this is really a tough game to pick.
00:27:16
Speaker
I'll go Clemson because they're at home. I think South Carolina takes it to them, dude. I think Clemson lays an egg, man. I think they've been a low little bit of frauds all season long. I think South Carolina beats up on them. It's going to be a good game. It's it's definitely going to be a tight game, I think. I mean, the the spread's two and a half. I think that's probably about right.
00:27:35
Speaker
All right, we got a huge game Saturday night, Texas and Texas A and&M at Kyle Field. Aggies got, home this is you know obviously a classic rivalry, but they haven't played, I think this is the first time in eight years that they played and with a ton on the line, man. I think when winner it goes to play Georgia in the SEC Championship, right? um Hold on, let me look.
00:28:00
Speaker
I feel like that's what I heard. But these conference titles have gotten so no, though, because so convoluted. I mean, dude, because they would have if they lose, they would have the same record, assuming Tennessee wins as well this weekend, they would have the same record in the conference as Georgia, Tennessee and Texas A and&M. Like, how do the here I'm gonna look all right here. I got your scenarios right here. All right. So if Texas loses to Texas A and&M,
00:28:26
Speaker
It's gonna be a three-way tie atop the conference between the Aggies the Longhorns and Georgia and because Texas lost to both of them, it would be Georgia and and Texas ain't him. So yeah, they are the winner is gonna end up playing If there's some skip strength of schedule stuff that could mess it up, but it looks like this is a winning in game Sure
00:28:49
Speaker
Texas has been tough, man. I still feel like I haven't seen them really beat a super heavyweight team this year. Their schedule, is is is as much as it could be being an SEC team, their schedule has been a little bit on the soft side. And Texas A and&M, you know they've been up and down also, but their offense has looked a lot more potent since they switched QBs about a month ago. um I'm gonna go with my gut, man. I don't love Texas, dude. I think A and&M wins this, and we get chaos in the SEC.
00:29:17
Speaker
I think Texas wins. I still just don't like, and I'm like, every time I watch him play, I'm just not sold on him. I think Texas is going to put together a game for this one. I do think Texas makes SEC championship and loses a Georgia though, but I still think Texas is getting in the playoffs. So I'm going to take Texas this weekend. All right. Let's get to our NFL picks.
00:29:53
Speaker
Jordan, how did we do last week? I went seven and five. You went nine and three. We both have less tonight. Dude, every game that I pick differently than you is just automatically a loss. Granted, if I'd have known party wasn't going to play, I would never have picked San Francisco to win. So I mean, that was how are you going to explain? I mean, dude, you're a football expert. dude This is we're we're closing in on two straight years that I beat you in picks, man. Yeah, shit happens.
00:30:19
Speaker
I think it's just, it's just rubbing off on me, dude. I'm like, I'm i'm taking your, uh, your, your football knowledge from you, man. All right. Let's just start off Thursday. I got the triple header on Thanksgiving. Uh, you know, we're going on about 15 years now that we've had the triple header, dude. What's your thoughts on it, man? Do you like having the night game on Thanksgiving or do you want to stick with the, uh, just the Cowboys and lions? No, I love the night game on Thanksgiving. No, you do something different, man. yeah This we need to have on holidays, man. Football is just especially Thanksgiving dude. Football's king on Thanksgiving.
00:30:50
Speaker
Yeah. All right. Uh, so we got the bears and lions in Detroit, Detroit freaking 11 point, uh, favorites, dude. I take the, uh, I think the bears are covering that spread, man. I think Detroit wins, but it's an, I don't think it's going to be as impressive a performance as we've seen from them. Uh, you know, over the course of really the entire season so far, I think Detroit really throttled it back yesterday with the fact that they play on Thursday in mind because They weren't running anything exotic against the Colts. They were just kind of running the ball, throwing it when they needed to. They won 24 to six. Oh, that was one stat I forgot to mention. First time since like 1989 that the Lions having a lot of ah offensive touchdown and back to back games. So Hey, not to one up you on the Lions historical stats, man. I was doing my research today. This is the first time since 1935 that the Lions are 10 and one.
00:31:41
Speaker
Jesus, bro, 1935. That's why I did. I feel I just feel like this team is going to break the fucking trend of lions being awful. they There's just I will say this, though, this game.
00:31:54
Speaker
There's cause for concern. They never play well on Thanksgiving. It's just like pressures on them. The bears have absolutely no pressure here. They're literally going in with nothing to lose on this one. It seems like the, you know, they've had a good enough performance in the last couple of weeks. It seems like some of the the the temperatures turned down a little bit on Caleb Williams and Matt Iberfluis. Oh no. The temperature has not turned out at all on Iberfluis. That dude challenged a 63 yard catch. And his reasoning after the game was because it was an explosive play. So why the hell not?
00:32:23
Speaker
I mean, I feel yeah, I don't think he's the next Bill Belichick, but I feel like all I was hearing about a couple of weeks ago was, you know, this guy's getting fired any minute. And that seems like that channel, you don't listen to enough bears fans then. Cause that's all I hear every single week. Still after the game is over. Yeah. You're right there in the absolute heart of the Midwest. So you probably got a little bit more doubt in with bears nation than, uh, than I am, man. But yeah, I just, I still feel like they got nothing to lose, man. But that being said, i which I think,
00:32:50
Speaker
It does enough to help them keep it a little bit closer than you would think, but I think Lions win. I do too. Dude, two teams going nowhere fast, man. I think the Cowboys are gonna make it too straight. I think they dropped the Giants. See the Giants, I think they're they the worst team in the league right now. it's It's been a couple of different teams that have had the crown so far this year, but the the Giants just look absolutely pitiful, man. It seems like as much as he struggled, it feels like Daniel Jones was still pretty popular in the locker room. and It seems like they really just lost ah whatever little bit of Mojo that they had with him him leaving the team. Yeah, it's... ah
00:33:23
Speaker
It's crazy, man. But, uh, yeah, I'm going Dallas as well. It's funny. I was getting all worried about the Falcon schedule down the stretch. Now granted, they do got, um, the chargers and Vikings back to back weeks, but they've also got the giants in, uh, Vegas and that stretch. So that should definitely be at least two wins right there. You've got to win those two games. Those teams are bad, but yeah, I'm going Dallas as well. Do you think Dave all survives this man or do you think he's gone?
00:33:48
Speaker
Dude, somebody from New York tweeted yesterday that day ball and the GM got fired. I wonder if that was just like an accidental, cause it was a verified account. And I saw you texting me and said the Giants are cleaning house and I never saw anything on it. So I just, I wasn't sure if like there was just rumored that it was about to happen or what.
00:34:05
Speaker
Yeah. I mean, a verified account tweeted that, uh, Joe shine and day while we're both getting fired yesterday. Now they've, they survived the weekend, but dude.
00:34:19
Speaker
I feel bad for day. Well, that's just a bad like he's still quality coach, man. Yeah. I do feel like, I feel like Dave will still quality coach. I mean, dude, that's when he 22 team had a way better season and they had any right to consider him, you know, the the talent that was on there, man. Um, so yeah, I don't know. I still feel like he's a pretty solid coach, man. There's, there's at least, you know, one more year with a QB of his shoes. Okay. So this is the t tweet I saw NFL and New York Giants insider Wesley Steinberg tweeted yesterday that the Giants were firing both head coach Brian Dable and GM Joe shine. And then it added a context on it's like Brian Dable and Joe Shiner are both still employed by the New York Giants. In fact, reports indicate both of them will return in 2025. There's no way they're bringing that GM back. There's yeah no way and he let's say Quan walk. He paid Danny dimes. Like there's no way that he's, he's getting booted.
00:35:15
Speaker
So yeah, that's what I saw. Night game, the Dolphins heading to Green Bay. Dolphins have been playing some better football the last couple of weeks, man. Two are coming back. Two has looked pretty solid. Even when they were losing a lot at the start of the year, they were still playing pretty well. They seemed really cursed this season. I don't think this is a good spot for Green Bay, man. It's another one where a lot of the pressures on them to hold serve on Lambo on Thanksgiving night, man. And the Packers are only three-point favorites.
00:35:45
Speaker
The philosophy is you think you get three points automatically for being at home. So I think this is a really evenly matched game. if dude I don't think it's evenly matched at all. It's going to be freezing cold, dude. It's it's supposed to be like 30 degrees and snowing by game time. We all hadn't looked at a weather report. Yeah. Hearing that's enough for me too. We we know what to a turns into when it's cold. Like a Jew is not meant for the cold weather, man. He just, yeah, there's a broader. Yeah. did Ain't no way. I just, I think that I think the cold weather holds down this ah offense. o I think the cold weather holds down this ah offense and yeah, I'm going green Bay.
00:36:23
Speaker
All right, Black Friday. And this game is over. Let's see what happens here.
00:36:32
Speaker
Yep, that should do it. Chargers have not been explosive enough on offense to ah to make me think they get any chance to get two touchdowns in the last seven minutes. We saw just saw Justin Seel go for a long touchdown run, and the Ravens got a two touchdown lead now with 7.24 to go. Yep.
00:36:47
Speaker
Um, Black Friday, I think it's, you know, given, I don't think we need to discuss if the chiefs or, uh, Raiders are winning this one, but Kansas city is a 13 and a half. value I don't think they cover that man. I think they ended up, you know, 10 points, something like that. dude i just They play with their food this suit the season. I know you keep saying there's nothing to worry about this team. Those turn it on whenever to their offense just cannot turn it on though. Like for whatever reason, they cannot turn it on. I mean, the Panthers had had 12 quarterback sacks all season rolling into this game. They had five yesterday, like
00:37:20
Speaker
something's not right about this team. I know the offense isn't great. I just don't think they're going to win though, man. I'm not saying they're not. I'm just saying yeah there's cause for concern about this team for the first time in a while. Yeah. I don't, I don't see my, I mean, we'll see what happens between now and January, how it looks on the field. You asked me right now. I don't see myself picking against them in the playoffs with the super bowl, never regardless of who's lined up on the other side, man. I just, I, I have full faith and confidence in them. And You know, I'd rather be wrong betting on them than, you know, keep, keep betting against them thinking they're going to lose because that team, they just did. They, they keep it close, right? They play these games way closer than you want to, but it feels like when it gets to those just super high leverage situations, they find a way to ah close it out and and end up on the winning side. Yeah.
00:38:03
Speaker
But I agree, I don't think they're covering, man. a Sunday, dude. Colts and Patriots in New England. Dude, I think the Patriots are winning this, man. Colts are three-point favorites, dude. I think the Patriots are, even though they're three and nine, Colts are five and seven, I think the Patriots are a way better team.
00:38:17
Speaker
i I don't understand how the Colts have five wins. This is not a good football team. I just, I, I am not a believer in Anthony Richardson. I i don't think he's going anywhere. I just, yeah I just, i don't he did have a couple of bad drops from his guys, but that still doesn't, we we've seen enough at this point to know what he's going to be, man. I think he's got it. He's got an awesome arm, super athletic, but he's just not an NFL quarterback, man. I'm going to England as well. I think Drake may has a good enough game and they win a close game.
00:38:46
Speaker
All right. The four and seven bangles are three point favorites with the Steelers coming to town, dude. I, uh, God, dude. Yeah. The bangles are so good on ah offense, but so horrible on defense, man. And the the Steelers kind of mediocre on ah offense, but amazing on defense. i I'm letting you pick this one first, man.
00:39:06
Speaker
Tough one, right? Bengals are favorites in this. Cincinnati off a bye to Pittsburgh just had two of the toughest games of the season back to back week. The only problem is Cincinnati plays really bad against Pittsburgh. Well, Pittsburgh is basically coming off a bye also, you know? I mean, they played Thursday night, so they're going to have a week and a half off, dude. Yeah, Cincinnati was not like, you know, they're typically worse off when they're well rested, man. We see how they start the season every year.
00:39:32
Speaker
I think I'm going to go Steelers, man. i'd I'd love to pick the Bengals, dude, but I'm going to go Steelers. I don't think the Steelers are going to lose too straight, and the Bengals, they just fucked it up too many times this year. um um I'm still holding ah a whole ah just a fraction of my Bengals stock that I had from the start of the year when I had them pick to go to the Super Bowl.
00:39:49
Speaker
I'm going to go Steelers as well. I just, te there's just something wrong with this bangles team, man. It ain't just the defense either. Like the vibes from his team. or It's like the preparation. Yeah. if The vibes are not good, dude. Yeah. The chargers and Falcons in Atlanta, Jordan, I'm sorry. I'm picking the chargers, David.
00:40:09
Speaker
I think the Falcons are getting dropped to 500 and are going to be officially, you know, desperation mode heading into those last five games, but I think the Chargers are a better coach team. I think they're a tougher team and I'd love to be proven wrong, man, just because, you know, I still got a little piece of me rooting for the Falcons to have success, but I think the Chargers going to handle business. The one thing they got going against them, it is a noon kickoff on the East coast. ah That's a little dicey man, but I think Harbaugh gets in there and and handles their business.
00:40:38
Speaker
I do not feel good about this game, but I think, sharp I think, the half fun favor I think the Falcons absolutely have to win this game. Like I don't, they can't just keep dropping games. They have to win one of these next couple of games. I'm going to say the Falcons win. I'm not confident at all in it. I just think the cross country flight, like they had a week miss death They had a week off man. They have to come out and show some life on Sunday. Like I just, they cannot be completely lifeless three games in a row. I just you imagine that man. If we, you know, you have a typical late arriving crowd to Mercedes men's stadium and the Falcons just come out slow for the first quarter and a half. I just feel like you're going to see the entire life of that building just gone. Yeah, I'm going to, I'll take the Falcons just cause I think they have to win this game.
00:41:27
Speaker
All right, Seahawks and Jets in New York, I think the Seahawks roll. Dude, the Seahawks struggle with the cross country games though. It's a noon kickoff as well, but the Jets- The Jets are so bad though, man. There's rumors swirling Aaron Rodgers could actually get released before the season's over, as crazy as that sounds. Yeah, I'm going to go Seahawks as well. Texans and Jaguars in Jacksonville.
00:41:53
Speaker
It wouldn't shock me at the Jags one. I think there's totally there's a totally realistic chance that the, uh, the Jaguars, um, you know, the Jaguars make it happen, but I'll go Texans, man. I don't think the Texans dropped this one.
00:42:10
Speaker
I'm not going to have minimum confidence and I've got as low confidence as you could have in a a seven and five team in the Texans. I'm going to go Houston as well, but. like you just said, the everything around the Texans is just getting worse by the week. I don't. Yeah. I don't get it either, man. This is supposed to be a good football team. They're just, they're playing down to their competition every week. All right. This is another tricky one, man. the In the, uh,
00:42:37
Speaker
in the NFC playoff picture, the Cardinals heading up to Minnesota, man. Minnesota is still getting the wins, man, but they have dropped off big time on the overall quality of play from that first five weeks. And the Cardinals have been you know one of the most up and down teams. they're They're definitely, they got a little bit of that Falcons in them. They could beat anybody or lose to anybody. They did not look particularly good against Seahawks yesterday though. um Cards and Vikings, man, where you at on this one?
00:43:04
Speaker
Somehow, some way, I think the Vikings get to 10 and two. I don't know how this is even possible or how we're talking about this, but I just, I think the Vikings are a better overall football team. I'm going to go Cardinals, man. I think, I do think the Vikings are good, but they've been kind of riding the lightning the last couple of weeks, living on the edge on a lot of these games. And I think they're what's going to run out against the Cardinals team. That's, that's got to get a win to keep pace in the NFC West. Yeah.
00:43:31
Speaker
Titans and commanders in DC, man. Call me crazy. I think Titans win this stage. I think, that I think Jane Daniels has got some, ah you know, some nicks and some injuries that are a little bit worse than they're letting on. Cause he, he's dropped, you know, he had the big fourth quarter, man, but we're not seeing the bell to bell production.
00:43:48
Speaker
Like we were seeing the first part of the season. Commanders got a little bit of a loser streak. They're starting to kind of regress to what, you know, we've seen the the Washington DC football teams do over the years and the Titans are playing fired up, man. So I'm i'm just going to, it definitely got some, a little bit of homorism going in on this, but I'm going Titans. I'm going to go Washington. All right. Yeah. Again, can't, can't fault you on that. Bucks and Panthers in Carolina.
00:44:13
Speaker
Dude, they got the Bucks to six point favorites, man. Panthers have been playing pretty decent. The Bucks are still a freaking mash unit. du I think Tampa gets it done to try to still hang with Atlanta. But I know you got to be rooting for the Panthers this weekend. Oh, 100 percent. But Tampa is going to win. yeah Rams and Saints in New Orleans. I think the Rams bounce back from that ah from that loss yesterday. They got to win, dude. Rams Rams can't afford another loss, I don't think. I'll go Rams as well.
00:44:43
Speaker
Eagles and Ravens Sunday afternoon in Baltimore. What a freaking game, dude. Dude, I saw something last night when they were breaking down the rest of the Eagles schedule. They don't have to get on a plane the rest of the season. They take a short bus trip to Washington and a short bus trip to the Giants for the rest of the year, and then the rest of their games are home games. but Dude, I seriously think there's a good chance that the Eagles went out. I mean, i this team is good. and I'm going to Eagles, man. i just I think they're playing like we talked about at the beginning. I think them and the Lions are
00:45:17
Speaker
both playing their best ball right now, and I think it just continues, man. Jalen Hurts is playing really good football right now. It's definitely a a heavyweight fight, man. I'll go Baltimore, just so we got at least, you know, I feel like we had a lot of same picks so far, man. I'll go Baltimore. um I just, I think at at home, they find a way to make one or two plays down the stretch. jan Jalen Hurts still got a, you know, a three interception game in him, man. I think the Ravens find a way to to make it happen.
00:45:44
Speaker
yeah Niners and bills in Buffalo. I think the bills roll Sunday night game. Um, cause we know pretty is going to be back. Does it matter dude? Cross country flight. This game is cooked. I think Buffalo and roll San Francisco Sunday night, Thanksgiving weekend, you know, the freaking, I still call it. So it'll always be Ralph Wilson field to me. You know, it's going to be on fire, man. Um, I think they get it cranked up and I think they officially send the, send the Niners pack and for, for 2024. Yeah.
00:46:13
Speaker
And then Monday night, Browns Broncos, I think Broncos win this man. Yeah. Denver's playing really good football, man. Yeah, they are just bo nice spectacular. Just solid sound football. bonicks looks good man I'm interested to see I just want to hear what James cooks up man you know he's gonna have something special playing up in Mile High Stadium in the Rocky Mountains. Why are the Chargers punting with six and a half minutes left down two touchdowns I get his fourth and 18 but are they basically just tapping out to keep it respectable or what.
00:46:44
Speaker
Yeah, I don't really know. This makes no sense at all. like And they were on Baltimore side of the field. I don't get it. Yeah. I mean, yeah. All you're doing is giving up field position if they... Yeah, I don't know. All right. Anyways, that's it for the the slate this week. It's going to be all an odd one with three games Thursday. We've got a game Friday. So football all over the place, but it's going to be fun. Let's get to million dollar bets.
00:47:26
Speaker
All right. it was a ah It was not a good week for Jordan. He lost both of his bets, unfortunately. you know I was shedding tears for him as I saw these go up in smoke. His big over parlay, which I still... like We really need to get a breakdown, man. Why he loves betting these overs, dude. that's just That's the weirdest thing to bet to me, man. It does not make sense.
00:47:48
Speaker
And then his Steelers, Lions, Broncos, Texans, went up in smoke as well. So he, and luckily he wouldn't didn't bet any kind of crazy money, but he did drop 150,000 to bring his yearly total to 1,813,000. Me, I split, but I hit my big one. So I lost 100,000, bet the Texans against the Titans, you know, the emotional hedge. Obviously Titans pulled it off for me on my birthday. Should've known better than to bet against them.
00:48:13
Speaker
And then I bet that AFC North Moneyline dude, two straight weeks it's hit rolling with the Lions, Vikings and Packers on Moneyline, threw in 100,000 on them and that paid out 359,000. So for the year, I am now sitting at $2,126,649.
00:48:32
Speaker
Jordan's at $1,813,651. So he's got about 300,000 to make up over this last stretch and the playoffs. Jordan, man, hit us with your first bet for this week. So I'm going to do a Thanksgiving day, but I'm going to go commanders or whoops, wrong one. I'm going to go lions, Cowboys and Packers money line. I'm going to put a hundred thousand down and I will win two 77, six 39.
00:48:57
Speaker
All right. I'm also keeping a Thanksgiving parlay. So I'm doing an anytime touchdown parlay with Jameer Gibbs, Josh Jacobs, and Rico Dowdell, hoping all the running back score for the Cowboys, Packers, and um and Lions. That's a $50,000 bet that'll pay out 215,000. And then I'm keeping my NFC North money line going once again, man. Betting the money line, parlay.
00:49:21
Speaker
not, uh, Packers, Vikings, lions, a hundred thousand dollars will pay out 284. So I'm looking at it bringing in almost half a mill. If, uh, if both these bets hit Jordan, what's your second bet? Uh, my second bet is commanders bucks and Bill's money line. I'm putting 150,000 down to win 382,550. I think the Titans are going to spoil it for him, man. I think I really think the Titans are going to go up to DC and get the win.
00:49:48
Speaker
I mean, it's possible. It's NFL, dude. We just, after what we've been watching in the last two weeks, anything's possible at this point. All right. Let's get to the mail bags. Our buddy, Tony Barker says, no question here. Just want to say go big red. Hell yes. What's he's, why is he so fired up for WKU mascot? Nobody's fired up for that.
00:50:09
Speaker
That is what bigger it is. No, it does not. He says, go sit on a corn cob. All right. on Which game, which game on Thanksgiving are you most looking forward to watching? I don't think any of them are really jumping out. I guess the lines and bears, just cause you know, the lines have been a freaking meat grinder this year and Caleb Williams has always been pretty exciting. I guess Packers and dolphins. If I had to pick one, I mean, I don't think that's going to be a great game either, but I was thinking that was going to be a good one, too. You gave me that weather report, and then I feel like it's going to be like the same as that that ah Dolphins Chiefs playoff game, where the Dolphins are just hollered up, freezing their ass off. It's not good.
00:50:46
Speaker
All right, which college game upset surprised you most this weekend? For me, it was definitely Alabama, man. I really thought Alabama was a serious threat to end up winning this whole thing. They've been playing really good since they lost to ah to Tennessee. So I was, and Oklahoma really hadn't shown a whole, I mean, they've been a little bit better in the last couple of weeks, but Oklahoma hadn't shown me anything to think they had an ass whooping in them like they put on ah the tide. Yeah. That one was by far the most shocking. I had said last week, I thought Ole Miss could lose any game and I thought Colorado could lose any game. So those ones really didn't shock me.
00:51:17
Speaker
And we'd already answered it, but Zach Hertzer said, you know, thoughts on Saquon Barkley just balling out this weekend. Like, yeah, we think he's kind of in the mix for MVP, which leads to our next question. Tony Barker wants to know who is the MVP, the lead MVP this year. I mean, right now I'm saying it's Lamar still. I just, I think the way Lamar has played, I just, I.
00:51:35
Speaker
um Dude, he's like top five in every category right now. I just I don't know. I just think it's him Best individual. I feel like best individual player so far. I've been like him and Joe burrow Saquon's crushed it though. And you know if the Eagles end up getting the one seed for the Lions, man I think Saquon's got a real shot at winning this thing Jared Goff to me his numbers haven't been quite good enough to be MVP You made me bet right now. I'm gonna say Quan man. I'll say Saquon does end up getting it. I I think that's dude, I think that's a, I seriously, as of right now, I think it's between Lamar and sake one. Yeah. Uh, was this last NFL week, the best and most exciting slate of games we've had this season? It was a good one, man. We had some awesome finishes, uh, between college and NFL. This was probably the best weekend of football this year, I would say.
00:52:21
Speaker
Yeah, it was an outstanding week. I do got a bonus question from the mailbag. This is for me to you, man. We did this on the Chick Foley show. Now I'm going to do it with you. I got a little Thanksgiving, this or that for you, OK? All right. All right. Hammer turkey. Ham. Agreed. Family. Do we direct from Thanksgiving with family or with friends? Um.
00:52:43
Speaker
I'll say family. Yeah, same dude. I feel like you see friends a lot, man. i they There's a lot of cousins and stuff that like Thanksgiving's the one time of year I see them. Pies or cobbler? Pie. Stuffing or dressing?
00:52:58
Speaker
I always call it stuffing. It's always been stuffing to me. To me, it's the same for me, man. I know it's only truly stuffing if you cook it inside the bird, which I don't think anybody does that anymore, but yeah. Mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes? Mashed potatoes. Same, dude. you Dude, you got to have mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving. Sweet potatoes. I give a fuck less if there's sweet potatoes there or not, dude. You got to have mashed potatoes. Sweet potatoes ain't moving the needle over here. Would you rather watch the parade or watch football? Football. Cornbread or dinner rolls?
00:53:27
Speaker
I associate dinner rolls more with Thanksgiving. Cornbread to me is like a like I'm having a bowl of chili and I want some cornbread. like Don't get me wrong, I'll eat cornbread on Thanksgiving. I just associate it. I like a good salty cornbread. I feel like most of the cornbread I've taught tried the last few years has been, yeah, it's been damn near like a fucking muffin. Dude, almost everybody makes it now. like It's a goddamn cake. Yeah, and I like my cornbread to be savory, dude. Nice little savory, baked good. yeah Yeah. All right, apple cider or hot chocolate?
00:53:56
Speaker
hot chocolate apple cider maybe with a little shot of fireball in there a pumpkin pie or apple pie apple pie same white gravy or brown gravy brown gravy all day but after eating would you rather take a nap or play outside now or as a kid we'll do now absolutely nap I did. I love a good Thanksgiving game football. Last couple of years has been so damn cold on Thanksgiving. We barely been able to do it, man. It's going to be like 25. Yeah, and I love looking back. We used to have some banger touch football games in the yard. What's the weather outlook for Kentucky on cold? du It's going to be cold. Yeah, very cold. Let me, uh, does your, okay. So you're going to your family's house for the mid thirties. You're going to your family's house. Is everybody coming over like your cousins and everything?
00:54:47
Speaker
It's, it's not going to be a gigantic family gathering. and I say it's going to be a medium family gathering, dude. Not, not all, it's everybody within like, uh, you know, like for one one layer out, dude, right? It's not all the extended cousins, but it's, it's probably going to be about 20, 25 people there. And then do you guys have to go to Sheena's family as well? No, I think we invited her family to ours, man. So yeah.
00:55:11
Speaker
but's campia All right. Still got a couple more that we're not done with this man. Would you rather be the guest at Thanksgiving or would you rather host? Oh, yes. No doubt. I hate hosting any kind of holiday. Too much work. Here's me. Now you're right, dude. You do get out on a ton of hope. It's way easier to be the guest and show up. If you're a host though, man, one, you got way more control over the menu, right? So you can make sure that you're getting all the foods.
00:55:34
Speaker
that you will want and they're getting made, you know, to your liking. And the more importantly, you're getting all the leftovers, bro. You're missing out on almost all leftovers with, if you're the guest. Yeah. I guess for me, okay. So here here's my justification on being the guest as opposed to the host. Yeah. You miss out on leftovers, but dude, by Saturday, I can't even eat any more Thanksgiving leftovers. Like I'm so cooked after Friday on Thanksgiving leftovers. I just, I feel that dude, it probably works out too.
00:56:02
Speaker
to to just be the guest. I know 2018, our last year in Hawaii, instead of making Thanksgiving dinner, we just went to... They had a big like you know buffet at the Four Seasons for Thanksgiving, which was awesome, dude. A really, really amazing spread. um But definitely, I've never get home and thinking, like shit, dude. No sandwiches, man. I can make no like garbage plates where I just pile everything up and stick it in the microwave for 40 seconds, man. so i feel though I think the move is to, you're better off just being the guest, man. It's definitely nice this year's going to my parents. We're not doing all the you know all the work, getting everything ready the days before. Yeah. um Christmas, would would you rather have Christmas decor up on Thanksgiving or still have some sort of fall decor?
00:56:42
Speaker
bro, my Christmas shit goes up the week after Halloween. Like, there yeah, I like the Christmas stuff. Here's always my thing. So like, Thanksgiving is a day like dude, Christmas is an entire season. And for me, like I just think, especially this year, man, like Thanksgiving's on the 28th of the month. like du you're late this year It's really late, and I mean, Christmas just is so much fucking work. like i just I want to have the most time with the decorations and stuff, and we we decorate our yard and all that stuff. We do a lot of stuff for um Christmas and Halloween, so like I want to enjoy it as long as we can. so
00:57:18
Speaker
Yeah, we generally always have our decorations up to to to me, man. Thanksgiving is part of Christmas season, right? It's kind of like one of like the the opening salvos of of Christmas season, man. it just I like having the tree up, man. It makes the house feel more just warm and inviting. ah And yeah, i'm I'm right there with you, dude. You got to have that tree up. We're going to cut down a tree for the first time this this weekend. we've We've never actually like went to a tree farm and did the whole thing. We always get a real tree, but we always just go to a store and get it. We're actually going to do the real thing this weekend.
00:57:47
Speaker
Fucking lumberjack, dude. yeah Well, I'm not cutting it down. They cut it down for you. But I mean, technically we're still cutting the tree down. I thought it was like you get like the full experience. Like you have to go out there and chop the tree down. All right. So yeah, thanks everybody for listening. Hope you guys have an outstanding Thanksgiving. Going to be a ton of great football, NFL, and college. So I hope you guys are spending it with family and friends and having a great weekend. Jordan, hit us with some closing and thoughts, man, and we'll get out of here. I mean, seth Seth said it. I hope you guys have a great holiday and ah we'll talk to you on the road to Christmas next week.
