Underreported UAP Sightings & Government Secrecy

00:00:00
Speaker
As we convene here, UAP are in our airspace, but they are grossly underreported. These sightings are not rare or isolated, they are routine. We don't know where they come from, who made them, or how they operate. The U.S. government is operating with secrecy above congressional oversight with regards to UAPs. The United States government has gathered a great deal of information about UAPs over many decades but has refused to share it with the American people. That is wrong and additionally it breeds mistrust.

Introduction to UFO Focus Podcast

00:01:00
Speaker
know exactly what they are. We can't explain how they I think that people still take seriously trying to investigate and figure out what that is.
00:01:25
Speaker
Hello, welcome to UFO Focus. I'm your host, Isaiah. Thank you so much for listening. Welcome to all the new listeners. We've had a lot of new listeners coming in over the past few weeks, so that's super exciting. Today's episode is about the hearing that was held last week, as I record this, in the US House of Representatives on UFOs and UAP.

Reflecting on U.S. Election & Personal Values

00:01:50
Speaker
But just before we dive into that,
00:01:53
Speaker
um You know, I've been a little bit behind on getting this podcast up and part of that is that I was really sort of thrown off um Set back Emotionally and mentally and spiritually by this recent US election now I think it's it's sort of a conventional wisdom in the UFO podcast scene to not talk politics. And I know that you're not coming here for politics and I don't tend to talk about politics very much, ah at least unless they relate to the UFO topic.
00:02:38
Speaker
At the same time, ah I personally think it's very important to have strong values, to cultivate those values, and to stand up for those values. And for me, that includes in my creative work, like this podcast. So all I want to say for today, really, is that ah I personally was extremely disappointed in the results of this election.
00:03:08
Speaker
I am fearful for the future of this country. I am disappointed in what those election results may say about this country. The president-elect Donald Trump ran what was, I think very openly, the most hateful, racist, misogynistic, nativist, xenophobic campaign in modern history and the fact that so many Americans chose to vote for him anyway or because of that is deeply alarming to me.

Engaging with Listeners & Sharing UFO Stories

00:03:51
Speaker
Now, if what I'm saying upsets you or offends you, well, I don't know what to tell you. That's really your problem, not mine. This is my podcast. I'm a human being with values and I'm going to stand up for those values when I see fit.
00:04:11
Speaker
So with that said, welcome again. We're going to jump into the material here. um You can reach me at UFO focus podcast at proton.me. That's by email. You can also find me on X and on Blue Sky. I'll put contact information in the show notes.
00:04:33
Speaker
If you'd like to share your own UFO witness experience, I would love to hear it. I just like hearing people's UFO stories. I find them fascinating. So please do get in touch with that or with anything else you like, just drop a line.
00:04:50
Speaker
And if you can share this show, whether on social media or by telling your friends or whatever, that would be great. It's really helpful and exciting to have new people coming to the show. And if you can go and leave a good review for me on um Apple or Spotify, apparently that really does help other people find the show too. And it's a small thing that you can do to help out if you enjoy this podcast.

UAP Crash Retrievals & Media Coverage

00:05:20
Speaker
So last week on November 13th, 2024, two subcommittees of the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, I looked that up for you, held a hearing on UFOs, UAP. And I think it was an interesting hearing. And what I'm going to do, I went and listened to it twice, most of it twice.
00:05:50
Speaker
And um you know in some ways, there's a lot there. In other ways, I think I can break it down for you pretty quickly. So what I might do is I might do both. And I haven't actually decided this, whether but I might release this as a short episode and a long episode. um But for now, this is the short episode. So I'm going to go ahead. i I thought I found a way to boil it down to five minutes, give you just five minutes of it, which I will do. But then I realized I can give you the headline in 30 seconds. So here's the headline. This is an exchange between House Representative Nancy Mace and witness Luis Elizondo, who a former government employee who headed up a program called ATIP that studied UFOs.
00:06:46
Speaker
Okay. Ready? Here we go. Has the government conducted secret UAP crash, retrieval programs? Yes or no? Yes. Okay. Were they designed to identify and reverse engineer alien craft? Yes or no? Yes.
00:06:59
Speaker
OK, so the reason I say that that little clip gives a decent takeaway is I think it encapsulates what certainly what most of the media who covered this took away from it. And by the way, there was significant media coverage, I thought, um and pretty respectful. um But also, I think it encapsulates what probably the average person would take away from this hearing had they watched it or maybe seen a clip, it could have been that one or another one. And that is, um let's picture, you know, a headline like UFOs are real, say experts to representatives.
00:07:44
Speaker
And let's face it, I mean, I don't want to bury the lead here. You know, not only did you have this hearing happen, but in that little clip we played, you have Luis Elizondo, a guy who worked in the government, did something around UFOs, testifying under oath that there's these crash, reti secret crash retrieval programs of, to me, this is the big part, alien technology. I mean, holy moly, that's If he's right, that's the biggest revelation in the history of humanity, right?

Impact of Congressional Hearings on UFO Disclosure

00:08:20
Speaker
I mean, not necessarily that moment in that setting but but that information itself.
00:08:27
Speaker
right I mean, that's the basic thing that happened here, is that we had another hearing where witnesses who testified under oath um made very strong assertions about UFOs being real, about them being at least potentially alien technology, etc. And they were taken seriously. That's the biggest upshot of what happened.
00:08:52
Speaker
um You know, there's a lot of folks sort of deeper in the UFO community who would say that this was kind of a big nothing burger, that we didn't really learn anything new. I agree in part and disagree in part. um I agree that we, those of us who follow this topic closely might come away saying, well, there was no new sort of evidence presented, which is basically true.
00:09:19
Speaker
um there was no there was nothing put forward that it you couldn't have gleaned from hearing these witnesses in other contexts.
00:09:32
Speaker
But let's be fair, most people haven't heard them in other contexts, including the representatives asking them questions. So I happen to think that anything that happens before Congress on the record is significant, is worthy of coverage and attention, and or just about anything. And certainly when it comes to the UFO topic, I think you know these hearings are unprecedented, or at least in in you know recent decades. And I think it has to be good for those of us who
00:10:10
Speaker
want to know what the heck is going on, that these hearings are happening. um I think the ball is moving forward just by virtue of these hearings happening. And hey, look, the media paid some attention. I got some texts from friends and stuff saying, hey, you know who know I'm into UFOs? And they said, oh, what's up with this hearing? you know and I think people heard about it.
00:10:33
Speaker
I have about two more quick takes to offer here. The first is that while um it might not be as interesting or exciting as the witness testimony, the statements made by the politicians holding this hearing were interesting, at least in some cases.

Political Awareness & Subpoena Power for UFO Disclosure

00:10:52
Speaker
um They showed that these politicians take this issue seriously, that some of them are, at least to some degree, becoming educated on the topic.
00:11:03
Speaker
and following it somewhat closely. And while I'm not going to play those clips, in this at least in this shorter version of the podcast, um I think that that itself was was fairly significant. The second take I'd like to offer comes from my friend and colleague, Dustin Slaughter, who you can hear in the last episode of UFO Focus.
00:11:29
Speaker
um
00:11:32
Speaker
his takeaway is that you know what we really need and if these politicians are serious about getting to the truth is we need them to be using their subpoena power to bring witnesses who are not necessarily eager to testify but who may hold some of the answers to these mysteries so these would be witnesses like um the head of arrow these would be witnesses like the uh... uh... director of national intelligence uh... people inside the government who should be made to answer hard questions or questions they're not necessarily excited to answer themselves i think he's absolutely right i think that that is really the next step if
00:12:30
Speaker
hearings are going to move this issue forward.

Insights from Hearing Witnesses

00:12:32
Speaker
Now, if you're still interested in hanging with me, I'm going to play a roughly five-minute clip. So there were four witnesses at this hearing. Luis Elizondo, who we just heard from, Michael Schellenberger, a journalist, um Tim Gallaudet, a former Rear Admiral in the Navy,
00:12:53
Speaker
and Michael Gold, a former NASA guy. And um this next somewhat longer clip, only about five minutes though, um is a decent introduction to who these people are and consists of one round of questions by committee chair, Nancy Mace. And I think it's as good a summation of the entire hearing as anything else. Here we go.
00:13:21
Speaker
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you all. I will now recognize myself for five minutes of questioning. I have a lot of questions and I have a lot of witnesses, so I would just ask if it's yes or no to please just tell me yes or no. um If it requires more than that, ah be very succinct because I would like to go down the line and ask as many questions as possible. So for the admiral this morning first, former DOD official Chris Mellon reached out to you about satellite imagery from 2017 that depicts a UAP.
00:13:49
Speaker
What were the dates in 2017 when this occurred? I can't share with you the details, ma'am, but I can do it in a closed setting, and I can also tell you the agency that wrote a report on it. Okay, so who has the imagery? I can tell you that in a closed setting. ah Can you describe what was depicted in the satellite imagery? Just a description? It was a UAP, ma'am. That's it? No other description? the the the a The term that the analysts use, they call it the button. It was ah it was a disk-shaped object.
00:14:19
Speaker
OK, where was it? I can't tell you that, ma'am. OK. All right. OK, Mr. Elizondo, you state in your testimony that, quote, advanced technologies not by our government or any other government are monitoring sensitive military installations around the globe, end quote. If these technologies are not made by any government, who's making them? Private companies or are you implying they are crafted by a non-human intelligence?
00:14:46
Speaker
Well, ma'am, that's precisely why we're here. ah The problem is that, temporally speaking, over decades, not just the last 10 years, before, to put this in perspective... when Are these private companies you're implying, or is this non-human intelligence? Maybe both. Okay. When it comes to Blue Force technologies, I would not be able to discuss them. Okay. um and Are you read into secret UAP crash retrieval programs?
00:15:06
Speaker
um We would have to have a conversation in a closed session, ma'am. I signed documentation three years ago that restricts my ability to discuss specifically crash retrievals. um I submitted for my book through the Doppler process, which took a year for it to be reviewed. And what is in the book is what I was told I'm allowed to talk about. Has the government conducted secret UAP crash retrieval programs? Yes or no? Yes. Okay, were they designed to identify and reverse engineer alien craft? Yes or no? Yes. Does the US government have any reverse? Okay, we er I see that question about retrieval programs. Do any US contractors have the same? um I would prefer to address on the closed session, ma'am.
00:15:45
Speaker
Okay. In your book, you mentioned government employees who've been injured by UAPs placed on leave and receiving government compensation for their injuries. Is that correct? That is correct. How can the government deny we have recovered craft if they're paying people because they've been injured by recovered craft? Ma'am, that's a great question. That's why I think we're here again, because I've seen the documentation by the US government for several of these individuals who have sustained sustained injuries as a result of a UAP incident.
00:16:13
Speaker
It's a crazy idea, right? The hypocrisy and the logic. Okay, Mr. Schellenberger, I'm gonna say it again, ah to be very clear, Immaculate Constellation. um What's its mission and how are they funded? Its mission is to, as I stated, its mission is to, um it's ah it's an unacknowledged special access program. Its mission is to document UAPs.
00:16:38
Speaker
Okay, and do you for your story and your report, do you have more than one credible source? I do. sourcing And then why do you believe your sources to be credible? How do you judge the veracity of the documentation you've been provided about this program? I checked the sources and they are who they say they are. They are current or former government officials. I wanted to also add that um I did not specify that they were a Defense Department employees. I didn't specify the agency nor the gender.
00:17:06
Speaker
Would they have included non-government employees, people that aren't employed by the government? ah these are i'm I'm comfortable saying that these are ah government or previously government employees. Any of them currently employed by a private contractor or private contractors? I'd rather not say. Okay. um What's the key takeaway, and just a few seconds, about the Immaculate Constellation document you provided us today?
00:17:29
Speaker
I think that what the American people need to know is that the US military and intelligence community are sitting on a huge amount of visual and other information, still photos, video photos, other sensor ah information, and they have for a very long time. And it's not those fuzzy photos and videos that we've been given, those very clear hi rez High resolution. how many How many visuals, graphics, videos, photos? I mean, I've been told hundreds, you know maybe thousands. i mean I also wanted to say because there was some there was some conversation around, concern around the the revealing of these materials, revealing the source collections, but some of these are shot from helicopters.
00:18:09
Speaker
using normal videos of oceans, I just think that's absurd that somehow you're going to be revealing some secret U.S. technology by revealing that you've shut you've photographed orbs off the coast of Kuwait. Okay, thank you. have Eight seconds. Mr. Gold, did NASA, the NASA independent study team get briefed on what you call OSAP very quickly?
00:18:28
Speaker
I flagged the Advanced Aerospace Weapon Systems Association program to our chair and our DFO. We did not get briefed. But I believe it is definitely worth looking into. That was probably the largest UAP review effort ever. And I think we used a lot of interest data, including revealing Nimitz. I don't know if my fellow litmus, he did Yeoman's work on it, might want to comment.
00:18:49
Speaker
okay Okay, and I think that's going to do it for this episode of the UFO Focus Podcast. I'm your host, Isaiah. I thank you so much for listening. um It's really exciting to see more listeners coming to the show with every episode.
