As I mentioned in the last episode, we were going through some housing difficulties. Our landlord was trying to throw us out with a three-month-old baby. But um I'm very thankful that our housing situation has stabilized for now in a good way.

We prevailed over the landlord essentially by learning of our rights and exercising those rights, and I should say having rights, which we have more of where I live in Massachusetts as tenants than many people do in other states. However, we all have um certain rights,

Another thing that we did that was really helpful was we talked to a couple of lawyers. And the point I wanted to put in here was that it took some looking around, but we were able to find some lawyers who were experienced, who were really cool, and who gave us free consultations.

And, um, you know Even though those were just consultations, they were really reassuring and they helped us move forward on our own without needing a lawyer, feeling more confident and reassured about um our situation.

Critique of Wall Street Journal on UFOs

And with that, let's talk about UFOs. Like I said last time, the the next place I want to pick up on news is a series of Wall Street Journal articles that have come out. There have been two now. I think there might have just been one the last time I recorded um that many have taken as a kind of overarching debunking of the UFO topic.

Now, I think that's a completely illogical conclusion. um even if you sort of take what these articles are asserting at face value, which you shouldn't.

And i don't want to keep going into it too much because unless you've read the articles yourself already, you don't know what I'm talking about. um And I don't have time to go through the whole article or the articles because that would be its own episode.

So what I would suggest is, ah also the articles are paywalled. Otherwise I would just link to them. So I would suggest trying to find out about these wall street journal articles in more detail on your own. We will go over them. If, if I need to, I'll just read the articles out loud.

Um, But in the meantime, I want to point you to what I think is you know by far the most intellectually rigorous and logical and informed breakdown of these articles and what's why they're um not at all convincing, or in in at least in terms of sort of, deep you know, quote-unquote debunking the UFO topic.

Anyway, Dustin Slaughter, um He's just kind of working his own thing over there and he does FOIAs and he fights, FOIAs are freedom of information requests. So he requests stuff from the government around UAP UFOs and he fights to get those records. In this case, he had to sue ah the government. I think it was the Air Force. i'm not positive on that.
