Introduction to UFO Focus

00:00:00
Speaker
Hello, welcome back to UFO Focus. I'm your host, Isaiah. And I don't know if you can hear the crickets out here. i me, so I'm going to stop.
00:00:10
Speaker
Yeah, I doubt that's going to come through the microphone, but lovely cricket sounds. Out here, I'm up in rural New Hampshire, the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
00:00:22
Speaker
And out stargazing as it were, although it's a cloudy night, but you know, you never know. And I thought this would be a decent opportunity to record a few thoughts.

Legitimacy of Ross Coulthart

00:00:37
Speaker
And I thought this would be a decent opportunity to record ah few thoughts about ah some breaking news in UFO land.
00:00:49
Speaker
um At least news about news. So the journalist Ross Colthart. um So the journalist Ross Colthart, who is an Australian journalist and is really, i would say,
00:01:08
Speaker
How do we describe Ross Coldhart? That's worth taking a ah ah breath. Ross Coldhart is, first of all, he's a legitimate journalist. He's, i would dare say, a good journalist, ah so certainly a serious journalist.
00:01:24
Speaker
um Do I always, you know, agree with everything he says or sort of every direction he goes? I do not, but I take him seriously. I have respect for him.
00:01:35
Speaker
I thought he wrote a really good book, which is called In Plain Sight, and it's recommended reading, really, try and catch up on the topic succinctly, um sort of for the modern era. There's actually not a lot of books like that, and I think his is pretty good one.
00:01:54
Speaker
don't It also, by the way, it contains a pretty decent description of the events of the USS Nimitz and the USS Princeton, which, as I've said in previous episodes, and we're going to come back to this, of course, um is, I think, the greatest UFO case of modern times.
00:02:15
Speaker
Now...

Bold Claims about UFOs and Government Secrets

00:02:16
Speaker
Does what Ross Coltart had to say about it complicate that? I don't know. Maybe I'm going to be exploring that out loud. But let me back up. So the sort of hot news about Ross Coltart or from Ross Coltart, the only reason I'm not saying the hot news from Ross Coltart is I wouldn't call this his news, exactly.
00:02:41
Speaker
you This is not him reporting something. This is him saying something, which I think are actually different things. So hope that makes sense. So what he said on his podcast with his co-host, Bryce Zabel, oh my God, something not mine, need to know, ah need to know podcast.
00:03:05
Speaker
So basically, Coltart said a bunch of intriguing... um What's another word I'm looking for? Intriguing and sure-sounding. What's a good word for that? Sure-sounding.
00:03:21
Speaker
Intriguing and perhaps we could say intriguingly confident. The episode is Coldheart and Zabel going back and forth, but but really Coldheart just spewing out And I don't mean that in a derogatory way. I just mean like it's just the the fountain is open.
00:03:41
Speaker
um A series of... assertions, allegations, opinions, analyses, you know, all of those things.
00:03:53
Speaker
and And those are each, you know different things about really the the UFO topic at large, sort of the whole enchilada, so to speak.
00:04:04
Speaker
um And Zabel, clearly caught off guard by by this. So anyway, what is all this big stuff that Coltart said? That's the point, right?

The Tic Tac Event and Non-Human Intelligence

00:04:17
Speaker
Oh boy. So he he said a lot of things, but I'm going to try to compress them in a way that is intelligible and faithful, but also succinct, which is a challenge.
00:04:31
Speaker
He said he believes, or yes, he believes through his reporting, his sources, that the Tic Tac event, the event of the Nimitz and the Princeton, um,
00:04:44
Speaker
was not just ah human tech, but he said specifically Lockheed Martin, the aerospace weapon company. I don't know. Lockheed Martin.
00:04:58
Speaker
Okay, so that was pretty big. Number two... was that these drone some of these drone incursions, not just the New Jersey drone sighting, but a really intriguing and mysterious 17-day drone incursion over the Langley Air Force Base in, I believe, Virginia.
00:05:20
Speaker
um Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has asked many questions about this. I mean, this is real. This this happened, and there has been no culprit identified.
00:05:31
Speaker
um mysterious drones acting with what Coltart calls um impunity. that the phrase he used? Anyway, acting with impunity ah over super duper sensitive...
00:05:46
Speaker
like super duper weaponized U.S. military facilities. So he says that that was probably foreign adversary, um probably the Chinese.
00:05:58
Speaker
Using super advanced technology, though. Not just flying regular shit. Okay. So then what is his third point? Remember, point one, tic-tac human.
00:06:10
Speaker
Point two, mysterious drones, human. Point three, and perhaps this should have been point one in a way. He also said, and this is where there's a twist that you've... It takes a minute to wrap your head around.
00:06:24
Speaker
NHI is real. In other words, aliens, at least using the term broadly... are absolutely real, are here, that's all true.
00:06:36
Speaker
Still very interesting. ah Point four. Let me think about point four. oh okay. Point four.

Reverse Engineering Alien Technology

00:06:45
Speaker
Let's just say sort of confirming the longstanding rumor, belief, that ah the U.S. and other countries have been reverse engineering alien so alien technology,
00:07:01
Speaker
since whenever he said ah Truman and Eisenhower ah was what Coltar indicated. ah And that that research has been buried, hidden illegally, he said, from Congress and remains hidden.
00:07:21
Speaker
so okay, point five.

Congress and Secrecy Pressure

00:07:25
Speaker
Congress is nonetheless, despite the secrecy, ah Congress is sort of increasingly no aware of all of this, all of the above, and is, well, yeah, this is where it gets a little more narrative, but one way to put it is that Congress is increasingly aware of these things. It's been briefed on different parts of this story, ah but enough of it to connect a lot of dots, I guess.
00:07:56
Speaker
And as Colt Hart tells it, you know, what we're seeing is that we've seen Congress sort of dip its toes and push for more transparency. But perhaps as they're learning more themselves in briefings that aren't public.
00:08:13
Speaker
And it is well reported that such briefings have taken place and been taking place. There's nothing unusual about that per se. um But that as they've learned more, they basically that they're subject to a pressure campaign.
00:08:31
Speaker
I, the holders of the secrets, the Pentagon, the, or, you know, rather certain corners of the Pentagon, certain corners of the private sector, uh,
00:08:45
Speaker
et cetera, are pressuring these Congress members, senators and House members to keep the lid on things. Because if they if they blow the lid off of the fact that the U.S. has this secret technology, they risk harming national security, making us vulnerable in some

Challenging National Security Narrative

00:09:06
Speaker
ways.
00:09:06
Speaker
But, point seven, It's all bullshit, says Coldheart. and and He just keeps going. So point seven is that this narrative that like the U.S. has a super duper secret.
00:09:22
Speaker
Yes, weapon, for lack of a better word of technology. A weapon was sort of the implication ah based on reverse engineered UFO technology.
00:09:34
Speaker
um The narrative that the U.S. is ahead of the game by having this is bullshit, says Coulthard. um And that it needs to be kept secret, et cetera.
00:09:45
Speaker
Because the fact of the matter is other adversarial nations also have similar, have also made great hurdles in reverse, any I guess, similar technological efforts. um Leading to the conclusion That, guess, 0.8 or whatever we're at, that 8, the U.S. is being set up for a kind of intelligence failure on the scale of 9-11. That's his comparison, not mine. ah or but But perhaps even magnitudes i more so.
00:10:23
Speaker
because of, and this is where I want to get it right, but essentially, I understand Coltart correctly, he said that and because the entire UFO thing, the fact, the alleged fact of an alien presence here, i you know, on Earth in some way, plus the fact that of however many 80 years of secrecy around, however many it's been, right? Plus the fact of secret government programs, plus the fact of hiding it from Congress, plus all these things.
00:11:03
Speaker
The resistance to letting the cat out of the bed, to opening the can of worms, is undermining basically like the people's right to know what the hell is happening in the world, to know, to understand the actual situation that we're in.

Analysis of Coulthart's Assertions

00:11:23
Speaker
Now, again, i'm I'm just doing my best to represent what Coulthard said. I'm not endorsing any of it. So, I don't know. i think listing all those things took it most of it, most of the oomph out of me for for this ah for this one tonight.
00:11:40
Speaker
But I guess a closing analysis. I mean, i think it's interesting that Coulthard is making all these bold assertions. Because I think Coulthard is interesting. I think he's smart.
00:11:52
Speaker
I think he's legit. I think he's tenacious and deep into this thing. And so, but I take seriously what he has to say.
00:12:07
Speaker
second thing I would say, and I'll preface this by noting that, like, one of the most common refrains you hear from sort of, I don't know, the UFO community, whenever something new happens, a new witness, a new document,
00:12:24
Speaker
there's always this chorus of people saying, well, it's nothing new here. It's nothing we didn't already know. And it misses the whole point of evidence, which is that evidence is cumulative.
00:12:38
Speaker
You know, like if so if a new document backs up, another narrative that you already quote unquote know. Like that, that's important. That's more evidence for that narrative because you might quote unquote know it, but ah we're talking we're we're talking about things that are certainly not accepted back.
00:13:00
Speaker
and Okay. Sorry, that was a bit of a rant. But my so my point was, in terms of the sort of whole picture that Coltart laid out, I'm sure we're goingnna hear the same thing from a lot of people.
00:13:11
Speaker
Oh, well, it's nothing we didn't know. There's UFOs, there's aliens. Government's been keeping it secret. We're reverse engineering them. And, you know, some of these things are ours and now. and You know, and we we do all that.
00:13:26
Speaker
Well, I don't know all that. I've heard that asserted by many people, but I don't know it. And the American public doesn't know it. So i any evidence backing up this narrative, I think, is rather important.
00:13:41
Speaker
um And Ross Holt is not presenting evidence and is not claiming to. he's He's giving his sort of lay of the land as he sees it, um you know, based on his research. And research includes sources of all kinds.
00:13:58
Speaker
Final note. So does this finally we blow up? The Nimitz, the Cambridge of the Nimitz, which I have said before, and, you know, for now, we'll continue to say the best UFO case of modern times.

Recap of USS Nimitz Encounter

00:14:14
Speaker
And this is the Tic Tac. This is when, look, I'll just tell you really quick. You two vessels out at sea, the Nimitz and the Princeton. Crew are observing crazy things going on, things dropping on the radar from 80,000 feet or 800, I forget the, it's eight with one or two zeros behind it.
00:14:34
Speaker
Feet, which is essentially space, dropping down in like a second to the... to the surface of the water. And these are, by the way, these vessels are doing training preparations to go to like the Middle East, Iraq, I believe.
00:14:48
Speaker
um They send somebody out to investigate. I forget the exact sequence. I think one guy goes out and sees this weird object. And then Dave Fravor, super duper pilot who then later testified before Congress, flies out with another aircraft.
00:15:05
Speaker
another aircraft ah piloted, I believe, by a woman named Dietrich. And anyway, they encounter this bizarre object, this tic-tac, and it's moving around like a ping-pong ball, doing an incredible things.
00:15:22
Speaker
and And there's video of it. Then they come back after this engagement with this UFO. Fravor chases the damn thing. They come back and Fravor tells another guy, go out there and get a video of it.
00:15:35
Speaker
And he does. I think Chad Underwood is his name. Lies out there in films a and after video of the Tic Tac, which is was made public only in 2017. This occurred in 2004.
00:15:47
Speaker
um This becomes public via the New York Times. And we've, even without knowing it, many of us have seen the the video or the image of the mysterious Tic Tac.

Human-Made or Alien Tech?

00:15:58
Speaker
sell ah So, in conclusion, here we have Coltart saying he believes now, from what he's heard, that the Tic Tac was human technology, was Lockheed Martin, but using super advanced technology that, i don't know if he actually even directly said this, but that presumably from his whole narrative perspective,
00:16:25
Speaker
you know stems from the reverse engineering or alien craft or whatever. So, first of all, and he might be right. He might be wrong. I don't know.
00:16:39
Speaker
I have no idea. But i the main thing is that, according to his narrative, even if it was Lockheed Martin, it's all connected to alien stuff. So there's still aliens.
00:16:51
Speaker
So, you know, look, will I personally... be kind of disappointed if it turns out that Tic Tac was made by Lockheed Martin. Yes. Will I give a shit about that if but the President of the United States or somebody were to take a podium and say, look, we're not alone?
00:17:11
Speaker
No.
00:17:13
Speaker
So I guess that's my analysis about that.

Personal Reflections and Listener Engagement

00:17:16
Speaker
And that's enough stargazing for one evening. Thanks so much for listening in. This was just a ah one of these fun stargazing episodes I do between proper episodes, as it were, you can reach me at UFOFocusPodcast at Proton.me.
00:17:35
Speaker
Thanks for tuning in. See you soon.
