Introduction to UAPs and Public Awareness
00:00:00
Speaker
As we convene here, UAP are in our airspace, but they are grossly underreported. These sightings are not rare or isolated, they are routine. We don't know where they come from, who made them, or how they operate. The U.S. government is operating with secrecy above congressional oversights.
00:00:17
Speaker
with regards to UAPs.
Government Secrecy and Public Mistrust
00:00:21
Speaker
The United States government has gathered a great deal of information about UAPs over many decades, but has refused to share it with the American people. That is wrong, and additionally it breeds mistrust.
00:00:34
Speaker
their The controller told us that these objects had been observed for over two weeks coming down from over 80,000 feet, rapidly descending to 20,000 feet, hanging out for hours and then going straight back up for those who don't realize above 80,000 feet of space. What is true, and I'm i'm actually being serious here, is is that there's footage and records of objects in the skies that we don't know exactly what they are. We can't explain how they move, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern. And so you know I think that people still take seriously trying to investigate and figure out what that is.
The 'Immaculate Constellation' Story
00:01:21
Speaker
Hello, everyone, and welcome back to UFO Focus, a special breaking news edition.
00:01:28
Speaker
It's October 8th, nighttime, and earlier today a story dropped, as the kids say, that has at least the online UFO community buzzing. Now these things happen not infrequently, and I should probably just get it out of the way now to say I don't intend to make so-called breaking news a priority.
00:01:49
Speaker
But today I figured, what the heck, this is a new podcast, it can't hurt to be timely, I'm having a good time doing it, and I'm excited to see more folks finding the show. So, without further ado, let's get into this breaking news about an alleged secret UFO, or UAP, p program called Immaculate Constellation. That's right, Immaculate Constellation. I feel like I should have had a sound effect there.
Allegations Against U.S. Government Entities
00:02:19
Speaker
uh... the story in question was published today by michael shellenberger and independent journalist with the sub-stack publication public that's the name it's at public dot news and i'm going to try to give sort of the very short version of this as best i can um i think that shellenberger excuse my page rustling here i think that shellenberger is basically alleging three things here. The first, and I'll be reading from um his story, the first is this, quote, and now existing and former U.S. government officials have told members of Congress that Arrow, that's the all domain anomaly resolution office, um that is the government's UFO office,
00:03:13
Speaker
that Arrow and the Pentagon have broken the law by not revealing a significant body of information about UAPs, including military intelligence databases, that have evidence of their existence as physical craft." end quote Okay, so that's part one. Existing and former U.S. government officials have told Congress that Arrow and the Pentagon broke the law.
00:03:38
Speaker
by not revealing this secret database and other stuff. Okay, second thing. One of these, into sorry, I'm reading again.
Whistleblower Claims on DoD's UAP Management
00:03:47
Speaker
Quote, one of these individuals is a current or former US government official acting as a UAP whistleblower. This person has written a report that says, quote, the executive branch has been Excuse me. The executive branch has been managing UAP slash NHI, that's non-human intelligence, issues without congressional knowledge, oversight, or authorization for some time, quite possibly decades. Okay, that's part two. So there's an individual whistleblower who's written a report
00:04:27
Speaker
alleging that the Department of Defense has been overseeing UFO stuff without congressional oversight. Here's part three.
Secretive DOD UAP Program of 2017
00:04:37
Speaker
Quote, Furthermore, these individuals have revealed the name of an active and highly secretive DOD Unacknowledged Special Access Program, or USAP. The source of the document told Public that the USAP is a, quote, strategic intelligence program that is part of the US military's family of long-standing, highly sensitive programs dealing with various aspects of the UAP problem. Public is revealing its name here for the first time, Immaculate Constellation.
00:05:15
Speaker
OK, so you with me? That's part three, is that there is a secret program called Immaculate Constellation that's been monitoring UFOs.
00:05:28
Speaker
um One more thing I should add to this is that he says um shortly lower in the article that the whistleblower alleges that the DOD created this program.
00:05:40
Speaker
in 2017, after the New York Times published an article describing an informal Pentagon UAP program called Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, or ATIP. Okay, so the you the whistleblower says the DOD created this program after the New York Times ran its notorious story about um the government studying UFOs.
Credibility of Sources and Evidence
00:06:08
Speaker
So in terms of analysis, I really have very little to offer. I mean, what we have is we have a journalist, um an independent journalist that's not a knock on him, but I think it's worth considering. um We're not necessarily dealing with the kinds of standards for news production that
00:06:28
Speaker
ah an establishment like the New York Times or the Washington Post or any number of ah great news outlets have in place.
00:06:39
Speaker
um We have a journalist asserting that he has anonymous sources making startling allegations. And we have essentially no evidence accompanying those allegations other than the journalist's account of his anonymous secret sources.
00:07:01
Speaker
That doesn't mean the story is wrong. It doesn't mean the story is bad necessarily. But it probably does mean that we, the public, should not put too much stock into it until more evidence is produced. and You could ask the question, why consider this at all? And ah my answer would be, well, if he's right.
00:07:24
Speaker
if the if If the allegations are true, it's, you know, a humongous, ginormous, mind-blowing story, potentially. um Potentially. I guess I can state the obvious and say there are echoes here of David Grash, the whistleblower who came out, gosh, was that two years ago now? No, my God, that was that was just over one year ago. Incredible.
00:07:53
Speaker
um But again, the obvious difference here is that David Grush came out in public as himself with his name and his career history and everything, you know, there for the public to view. Right now, we are dealing with um anonymous sources, according to Mr. Schellenberger.
00:08:17
Speaker
So that's about all I have for analysis.
Verification of Whistleblower Credibility
00:08:20
Speaker
um For those who want to dig into the story a little bit more, what I did was um Mr. Schellenberger was interviewed by the journalist, Ross Colthart, who's well-known in UFO, UAP circles. He's a journalist I respect. He's the author of a book a couple of years ago, I think, that ah titled In Plain Sight that I enjoyed reading. um Very sharp guy.
00:08:48
Speaker
ah does work for a news organization called News Nation. So anyway, Ronce Colthart interviewed Mr. Schellenberger, and I'm going to go through just a few clips from that interview. You can find the full interview in the show notes. So here's the first clip. This is toward the very beginning of the interview. This is Mr. Schellenberger basically laying out his story.
00:09:14
Speaker
Hey, great to be with you Ross. Yeah, this is an incredible story. So a new whistleblower has come forward with a written report that this person has shared with some members of Congress, and with me, and the report is quite extraordinary, it says that there is an unacknowledged special access program called Immaculate Constellation, which is the parent program, is the language used for exactly what you said, UAP, crash retrieval, reverse engineering,
00:09:51
Speaker
and apparently a very large database of high-quality photographs, videos, infrared videos, apparently much more sophisticated documentation of many more UAP encounters than have been released. And so without the article is really about the allegation that this program exists and that it has been withheld from Congress illegally.
00:10:20
Speaker
OK, this next clip is it's a little bit esoteric, but I did think it was interesting. um Basically, it begins with Schellenberger referring to the fairly recent historical report by Arrow, the government's UFO office. Arrow did this historical report. It was widely panned as being terrible in various ways. ah Go listen to episode one with Micah Hanks, if you're interested in learning more about that report and why it was so flawed.
00:10:50
Speaker
Anyway, Schellenberg references that report and he references a sort of allegation contained in that report that without getting too deep into this, that basically suggested that the reason a whole bunch of very high ranking people in government and formerly in government, et cetera, sure seem to think that there's something very weird going on with UFOs or UAP um is due to circular reporting is I believe the phrase they used and it's this idea that has been promulgated by some skeptics out there that that basically if you ask the question like why are you know senior members of the senate and house and well senior members of the senate certainly and a bunch of members of the house you know why do they think that there's
00:11:47
Speaker
ah something here, why are they promoting and even passing legislation around UFOs? Well, there's a skeptic answer to this that it's all, circ you know quote unquote, circular reporting, this idea that it's a small group of individuals who are just talking to each other. um So that's what he's addressing in this comment, but he also um says a little bit about this alleged whistleblower that he's brought forward without a name.
00:12:14
Speaker
I think that there is the potential for a significant amount of circular reporting. As a journalist, you're always worried about that. This new whistleblower is not part of that circular reporting. I'm confident of that. ah They also, these this person does not know, did not know the other individuals who verified the name of this program.
00:12:39
Speaker
So I do believe this and I have checked the credentials of this whistleblower. They are who they say they are. And so it is not part of ah that. ah It does not ah fit the theory of social contagion.
00:12:55
Speaker
Okay, and for the last clip, ah I thought this was interesting. ah Here's Schellenberger talking about the whistleblower's plural that he's been talking to, that that he has as sources, he says.
Whistleblower Fears and Call to Go Public
00:13:11
Speaker
These whistleblowers are absolutely are terrified. there They're really, really scared. things They they've ah have reason to be scared. I think they are psychologically healthy individuals.
00:13:26
Speaker
ah don't think they have that there's nothing i could i i've you know my In my past work, I've dealt with mental illness. I interview homeless people on the street who are psychotic, including having UFO and alien psychosis. I recognize that that could be psychosis. that's These people are not in psychotic states. these These people are mentally healthy. They've passed all sorts of tests to be where they are. I have another whistleblower. I can't say a single thing about this person other than they're totally terrified and I've been encouraging them
00:14:04
Speaker
to go to Congress, to go public, that they'll be safer that way. But it's very hard to fake that kind of fear. you know Most people are not very good actors. I mean, most actors are not very good actors. um It's very hard to fake that level of fear, especially when you're dealing with people, you know who they are and where they sit in various agencies or contractors.
00:14:27
Speaker
and And they're in a position to know. and and this And this person, I will say, I have met them in person. The whole way in which we met showed deep alarm and concern about their safety.
00:14:43
Speaker
Okay, and I think I'm gonna end it here. So that was Michael Schellenberger describing the story that he broke on October 8th, 2024 about an alleged secret UFO program called Immaculate Constellation. I hope you enjoyed this episode of UFO Focus, this special breaking news episode. ah Please subscribe, please spread the word, share it. ah I've always kind of wanted to say this. If you could give it a good review on iTunes or Spotify or wherever you're listening, that would be great. Thanks for listening. I hope to keep this thing going. I'm Isaiah, your host. ah The intro music was a track called UF Orb by The Orb. And the outro music is the song Starman by the Brazilian band ODC.
00:15:38
Speaker
Thanks for tuning in, see you next time.
