End of School Year and Summer Plans
00:00:04
Speaker
Well, hello and welcome to the latest episode of the Purple Door Podcast, a friend's rewatch pod. I'm one of your hosts, Alistair, alongside my good friend, Deanne. Deanne, how are you today? I'm doing great, Al, doing great.
00:00:20
Speaker
End of the school year, summer is here. i'm a It's just it's exciting, good stuff. I'm ready to swim. Absolutely. Yeah, we're about to enter the summer season.
00:00:32
Speaker
The heat will be ridiculous and we all hate it, but it does mean we can swim in the pool and yeah and that kind of thing. But ah yeah, we've got the last, I've got a week left of the school year.
00:00:45
Speaker
um I'll be doing some teaching and some other things in the summer. DM, what's your sort of end of the school year looking like? Yeah, I won't be done till late.
00:00:56
Speaker
Our kids will be done. But right after the royal day. But then I've got a couple more weeks. Right. And then I've got a couple of weeks of this stuff here at the house. And then me and my dad are going to Italy. And that's going to be so cool. I forgot about that. That's right. What an exciting trip. When do you guys go?
00:01:18
Speaker
I am pumped. ah Right after the 4th of July. and then we'll go for 10 days. yeah and he made sure this week um we got our final itinerary and the vatican was not on there and that was one of the big things you know let's see the sistine chapel and all of the things right and so um he made sure that that was on our itineraries and now We've got our final itinerary. It's very exciting.
00:01:50
Speaker
That's great. I love
Introduction to 'The Ick Factor' Episode
00:01:52
Speaker
it. Yeah, I'd forgotten about that, that you were going. Very excited for both of you. We'll need to send you with some Purple Door Podcast stickers. just to yeah yeah Just to stick or hold up in front of somewhere cool. hallum That's right. what ah That's right.
00:02:10
Speaker
I love it. Well today we um are going to get stuck into the one with the ick factor. I said on last week's episode I'd forgotten what this one was until I looked at a couple of pictures and it all came screaming back um in a very icky way.
00:02:29
Speaker
So we're looking forward get stuck into that but not before our famous game of bamboozled of course. So let's get into that.
00:02:39
Speaker
um think I've got decent amount of questions. only have seven questions. All right, so I've got nine. So let me think. it is it bird If I go first, ah but then I might get rid of some of your questions.
00:02:54
Speaker
Because if I say questions. I'm not scared. You're not scared. I like it. yeah You are like Monica. Monica, in last week's episode, you're just going for it. I'm inspired. I'm inspired. You're just going to go for it. I love it.
00:03:08
Speaker
All right. But I'm not going to steal anybody's credit cards, so don't worry. Good to know. We appreciate it. In this episode, we find out how old Monica is. How old is she? She is 25 and 13 months. She is indeed. 26.
00:03:25
Speaker
Which is 26. So, i'm it's obviously, ah I'm a teacher. We've discussed that. But, you know, the old math slash maths, depending where you're listening from, is not always my strong suit.
00:03:37
Speaker
So I was trying to work out if there was any way she wasn't 26. Like, if she just turned 25...
00:03:44
Speaker
Or if she was turning 26 in a couple of days and she said 25 in 13 months. I don't think there is. I was overthinking this. No.
00:03:55
Speaker
Right. She's definitely just 26 and there's no way of her being anything else. Yes. And I think she even said it that way because she didn't just have her birthday. Right. That's kind of my assumption.
00:04:07
Speaker
That's why she said it the way she said it. Right. Yeah. Sometimes... Sounds so much older than 25 because, you know, it's over that hump. Right. Like, you know, 41 sounds older than 40 and all that. Right.
00:04:21
Speaker
I mean, because technically it is, but still. there some Some ages do sound worse than other ones. ah You got it. Yes. And people who are rude and say late 40s, and that's just rude.
00:04:35
Speaker
ah Yeah, we don't need any of that. Right. Who needs that negativity? Not me. I don't. All right. So, Al. Yes. What is, oh.
00:04:48
Speaker
didn Okay. Did you just change camera angles or something? What just happened? I leaned over for a minute and then came back if that was it. Never mind. mean, it's always possible. It's always possible. I'm looking at my book and that was the corner of my eye and I was like, what's just happening? You're so fancy over there with your setup.
00:05:08
Speaker
That's right. All right. So what's on the coffee table in the coffee house? There's one piece of ah ah things on there that stood out to me, but I've got a list of three.
00:05:22
Speaker
But just if you get any of it, well, no, you got to get at least two. But there's one thing on there that I was like, that's different than what you would see in a coffee house today.
00:05:36
Speaker
All right. Well, I don't think I caught any of them, to be honest. So I'm trying to play off that hint you gave that you wouldn't see in a coffee yesterday.
00:05:46
Speaker
An ashtray. That's correct. Okay. What else might you not see? No, everything else you would see. Okay. astray was The was the one thing that kind of stood out. The other two are just like, yeah, that's...
00:06:02
Speaker
ab You know, I don't know. I don't know. Poppy mug and magazines. All right. All right. Yeah. Yesterday, I think we've talked about that. When did we talk about that? I think like when it became illegal in New York to smoke indoors. Oh, yeah. We did. We had a whole thing.
00:06:21
Speaker
Which, I mean, still, I mean, we've talked about this too. I certainly enjoy my 90s sitcoms and it's so weird to still see to see people smoking inside the Such a strange, strange thing. All right, my question for you, this might be a bit unfair, but I ran these questions by Kate before we recorded and She got it.
00:06:43
Speaker
So when Phoebe is in Chandler's office
Age Differences in Relationships
00:06:46
Speaker
um and when she answers the phone, we can see Chandler's screensaver. What is it? i That's my number two question. Oh, yeah there you go. It's fish swimming.
00:06:57
Speaker
It is fish swimming. I thought that was going to be unfair, but both you and cook Kate. I thought it was unfair too. That's fantastic. All right.
00:07:08
Speaker
So what two things does Phoebe play with in that scene?
00:07:17
Speaker
Does she play with a magic eight ball? Yes. Okay. The only other thing I remember is she takes an earring off, but that doesn't count. I'm trying to think.
00:07:30
Speaker
i'm just going to guess a pen. yeah It's a staple remover. And she's like going. Yes. yeah One of those. I don't care for those staple removers. I like the ones where you just. ah slight hundred percent The The clippy ones like a crocodile. I always rip paper.
00:07:48
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, the sliding under one is the way forward. That's the way. 100%. Yeah. The best one I ever got was from Daku. This is my favorite one.
00:08:00
Speaker
I got one from my mentor teacher back in the day. And so that's been, it's it's very old, but I actually taped it back together recently because it started to fall apart.
00:08:13
Speaker
And I was like, no, this one has served me well. So I wrapped some tape around it and it's still going strong. Nice. Good job. okay All right. What did Monica make for Ethan for dinner?
00:08:28
Speaker
Lasagna. Lasagna. lasagna that's it yeah whatever she's messing around and the fish nope because i made lasagna yep yep that was it all right now you did mention about monica's age yes so here this one's a little complicated I like it. i have my pen and paper at the red. All right, perfect.
00:08:54
Speaker
Okay, so what was Monica and young Ethan's actual age difference? And what did each of them think it was?
00:09:10
Speaker
So we know Monica's 26. Now, I know Ethan declares or you know admits that he's a ah senior in high school, which puts him at 17 18.
00:09:23
Speaker
Now, I don't remember him saying specifically, but Monica... He does. He does? Okay. So I think because Monica panics about being a felon in 48 states, and he must be 17.
00:09:35
Speaker
who Okay. Nice. Very good. So now, so that's a difference of nine years. But what did you, what what was the exact question? The second question was, is what did each of them think the age difference was?
00:09:54
Speaker
Okay, so and I feel like I'm piecing this together. Monica told him something. She's 22. ah her She thought, oh, and she thought he was a senior in college, which would put him at ah roughly the same age.
00:10:08
Speaker
Mm-hmm. So, oh, but she does say, she oh, no, she says, she sitting I think the age difference, if they're both lying, there is no age difference. That's what i'm going with. but what did they think?
00:10:20
Speaker
Because, like, you're talking, well, anyway, I think it's too complicated. No, no, I see what you're saying, because he knew he was 17. He knows he's 17. So five years.
00:10:31
Speaker
Right, yes. Five years, okay. And then the fact that she's got wine there, and they're drinking wine, she's assuming he's 21. So she's thinking it's a five-year age gap as well.
00:10:47
Speaker
This is a next level question. This is why you're on the this is I love that that. That's a great question. Because that took some time. So they were both okay with a five-year difference, but nine, absolutely not.
00:11:02
Speaker
Nine crosses the line. The line's hovering between seven and eight, I guess. Interesting. All right. I love that question. Might be my favorite one of this season so far.
Trivia and Jokes from 'The Ick Factor'
00:11:13
Speaker
Hey, and we're getting close to the end, so I feel good. Right, you and I will discuss off the air at some point. We have two episodes left before the end of the season. Very excited about that.
00:11:25
Speaker
ah Monica has a huge picture of what above her bed? it's Wow. Yeah, it's it's one that I don't think is there for long.
00:11:40
Speaker
Is it a flower? You got it correct. Oh! It is sunflowers. And it says yeah it says sunflowers across the bottom and then there's big sunflower or sunflowers and then like ah a tractor or a lawnmower or something else in there.
00:11:57
Speaker
But sunflowers is the answer we were looking for. Nice. Well done. Thank you. Thank you. All right. What brand outfit is Monica wearing when she's talking to the group about Ethan and they're talking about Power Rangers?
00:12:17
Speaker
You know, my next question is that scene, but I did not notice. So I'm going to go with Abercrombie and is it Fitch? Finch? Fitch?
00:12:28
Speaker
That it is actually Nike. Ah, didn't say it. They've got the big old Nike swoosh right across their chest. Nice. Didn't notice it. But in that scene, I am 99% sure I've got this answer correct, but I may have one word wrong.
00:12:43
Speaker
So... What does Joey want Monica? Oh no, it might be different scene. What does Joey want Monica to ask Ethan next time he stops by? Who's the most powerful Power Ranger?
00:12:56
Speaker
Okay. I've written down who's the best Power Ranger, but powerful with it is. Oh, it might not be powerful. I, I, that's just what I have in my brain.
00:13:07
Speaker
get the point. Yeah. Okay. Thanks. Thanks. All right. Um, All right, so why does everybody at work hate Chandler?
00:13:19
Speaker
Because he's the boss, the boss man, the boss bang, bing. Boss man, bing. Whoever it is. Yes. Yeah, they liked him before. um
00:13:31
Speaker
What new item is allegedly in the bathrooms at Central Park? Hand dryers. Hand dryers it is. Yes. I love it.
00:13:43
Speaker
Just so you know, I've got three more. Okay, and I have one.
00:13:51
Speaker
ah But i do I want all of yours, so it's ask another one, and then I'll ask one, and then you can ask. Okay. this one This one, I will thank Kate for the answer. She caught this.
00:14:04
Speaker
What show does Rachel fall asleep to when she has a dream about Ross? You just hear it for a couple of seconds. If you know what it is, it's quite distinctive.
00:14:15
Speaker
No, I don't. i um I think if you just use like a context clue of what Rachel is doing and and the time of day, you might get this.
00:14:26
Speaker
It's a very, you know, it's not a complicated answer in the sense it's a popular show. Is it the news? It's not the news. I'm just going to give you one more shot, a little more specific.
00:14:37
Speaker
You know, she's falling asleep at nighttime.
00:14:43
Speaker
Saturday Night Live? Oh, no, but that's it was The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Dang. Okay. Wow. There you go, Kate.
00:14:54
Speaker
Kate Carson. She knows that. I wouldn't have known that, but she was like, if you know it, you know, you'll know it. Wow. All right. question. Okay.
00:15:04
Speaker
So. What's everybody doing that's slowing down getting gone for the hospital at the end of the episode? Like everybody is doing something, which I feel like is a flashboard to just whenever everybody's getting ready or where nobody is ready.
00:15:26
Speaker
That episode. Yes. ah Because it's like and Ross is ready to go everybody's got other things. A little, a little ah just going to put this out there, that that episode, the one where nobody's ready, we will have so at least one, probably a couple of extra co-hosts.
00:15:46
Speaker
That is a very popular episode and people have reached out to about that one. um So this is the difference between you and i and i I love this because my next question is what does Joey bring to the hospital in the final scene?
00:16:01
Speaker
I played it too easy and I love what you've done here. So Joey is this massive sandwich. Yeah. For the taxi ride. Yeah. I mean, y you could get hungry and that thing is a beast. That thing is, is, yeah so let me, I'm going to write all of this down. So let's see, Joey Chandler.
00:16:23
Speaker
Monica, Rachel, you know, Ross is obviously there and then Phoebe. All right. I've got to try and replay this in my head.
00:16:35
Speaker
this This is a great question. All right.
00:16:41
Speaker
Man, what were they doing? Because I know Monica goes for a run, which I've got a question about, but I don't think, I think she's... Nope, she's already back and not. You're done with that? Yeah.
00:16:54
Speaker
Oh, Rachel's putting on makeup or something, because there might be cute doctors, right? Yeah, that's right. She's putting on her lipstick and yeah. All right, so we've got Joey. We have Rachel.
00:17:06
Speaker
What was Chandler doing? What was Monica doing? And he was the first one that was... That was Monica. Was she was she was was she crying?
00:17:19
Speaker
Yeah. did that tell you have okay I heard the funniest thing yesterday. Haley called it a minty bee, like a mental breakdown, a minty bee. A minty bee. I like it.
00:17:32
Speaker
Yeah. We're going to use that one. Minty bee. Yes. So, yeah. What is Phoebe? I think Phoebe and Chandler are going to stump me. I think those are the two can't, I can't remember.
00:17:46
Speaker
What do we have for those two? Well, yeah geez.
00:17:52
Speaker
Hopefully. Because yes Chandler comes out and he's just dancing around. He's just dancing. He's just dancing? Yeah. Yes.
00:18:06
Speaker
And then last one would be Phoebe. I don't think was Phoebe who's in there. i didn't write down anything for Phoebe. Okay. I don't think she was there. okay Remember, he comes out and he starts making a joke and he's dancing around chairs like, oh, and Ross is like, oh, my God, can we just leave?
00:18:22
Speaker
That's right. yes soll cut mouth She's putting on her lipstick and he's like, no, let's go. and then Joey comes out with a sandwich and then Monica comes out and she's crying and then they all go to leave.
00:18:36
Speaker
And then Ross just stopped. And I love that that yeah little clip right there. Because it could have finished with them walking down the stairs we wouldn't have thought anything of it. But you're right. it was It was a great decision to have that ah last little bit in there.
00:18:52
Speaker
Yeah. i've got No, Phoebe wasn't even there. Sorry. She wasn't there. Okay, good. That's good. I've got one final question and this may be very unfair.
00:19:02
Speaker
It just occurred to me after I watched this.
Foreshadowing in Friends
00:19:06
Speaker
How could this episode be a slight foreshadowing for Courtney Cox's career?
00:19:23
Speaker
There's something in Courtney Cox's career post friends that could hark back to this.
00:19:33
Speaker
And this is a kind of surface level question. There might be somebody who is, who who knows more about this than me.
00:19:42
Speaker
Is it have to do with the age difference with the younger guys? Yes. Yes, it does. How old David Arquette? Is David Arquette much younger than her? That I don't know, but um think more about, fix you know, it's fictional.
00:19:55
Speaker
Oh, was she in something? She is. She starred in a show called Cougar Town. that's right. There you go. Wow. Okay. Yes, I remember that.
00:20:09
Speaker
and yeah i don't know if i've I don't think I've ever seen it. But maybe the title kind of explains itself, I think. um no so that's it do you have but I'm out of questions. Do you have any more for me?
00:20:22
Speaker
No, no, no. All right. Well, let's crack on with this. Let's see. We start in with the one with the ick factor. We're in Central Park and Rachel's had a dream about her and Chandler getting up to no good on the Central Park table.
00:20:37
Speaker
And Ross, Ross is perturbed. He's put out. He is not a happy camper at this point. But it made me laugh whenever he's just like, how could you?
00:20:48
Speaker
and right and was like well i was very drunk and in somebody else's that's right yeah so funny he handles ross very well i think yes yes and then chandler sitting on the coffee table whenever we cut to the next scene yes kind of provocatively lying across it and that ashtray has been moved over The gigantic ashtray. I will need to have a look at that without a doubt because I yeah didn't catch that. um But Phoebe comes in. She's looking at short it's a self-imposed need for short-term work.
00:21:27
Speaker
um She taught all of her clients how to massage themselves at home and it's kind of backfired. and So Joey immediately suggests that she she goes to work for Chandler and Chandler immediately says,
00:21:40
Speaker
No, that's not a good idea. But can't say anything. He's certainly not thrilled with it. um But let's see, Ross got a beeper. Did you ever have a beeper? No, that was just for drug dealers. ah was kidding i'm just I'm just kidding. That was the, like, you know, I i don't know. That's what my mom's impression of them was. Yeah.
00:22:06
Speaker
You know, that's just drug dealers had those. But so not the truth, of course. No offense to anybody who is not a drug dealer that had a beeper.
00:22:17
Speaker
Right. Or if you were a drug dealer that had a beeper. I don't know. ah don't know like I don't know. Was that not like ah a so a stereotype or anything?
00:22:30
Speaker
now No, no. not No, no, it wasn't. The little town I grew up in. I don't know. It might be. Yeah, I think, I didn't write this down. I think I remember Googling this a while ago. ago ago I can't remember why.
00:22:44
Speaker
But pagers are still alive and well, but it's in the medical profession. And it's something to do with the signal in hospitals. but there's a yeah you can you know That's why doctors and stuff still carry them to this day.
00:22:57
Speaker
Because it's easier to get a message through to them to rather than a cell phone. um something like that. I need to Google it more. I think I just looked up to pagers still exist and very much so in hospitals with doctors and nurses and things.
Phoebe's Office Antics
00:23:14
Speaker
So a complete sidetrack, a complete sidetrack. But kind of drug dealers. No, yeah we're so just legal, legal prescribed.
00:23:28
Speaker
That's it, but Ross got one so Carol can reach him anywhere. Do you remember do you remember his pager number? A 55 Jimbo. That's right. 55 Jimbo, which is funny because it's a 555 number.
00:23:46
Speaker
You know, ah I wrote down 55 Jimbo and I was just trying to do it in my head if the J corresponded with the five. Yes, and that's so funny because you know on TV and everything, they always used to use 555 because it wasn't a real number.
00:24:04
Speaker
Yeah, i think I assume they still do that. haven't really paid attention, of course, but um if they still use that as the default, just 555 number. I'm curious too. Yeah, I assume they do. Because now everybody has the area codes in front.
00:24:22
Speaker
instead of just having that's right the seven, I don't know. Yeah. The first three of the seven were always five, five, five, but yeah, now I Google that when we're, when we're finished recording, um, in Chandler's office, Phoebe is up there.
00:24:38
Speaker
Um, you know, practices with the phone. the Oh, what have I missed? Like the whole thing. Like whenever we first find out about young Ethan,
00:24:50
Speaker
Whenever Monica's going to see young Ethan. That's right. That's right. yeah yes you smart He's mature. He's grown up. And he's like, oh yeah, he's a, oh, what did he say? He's a big boy.
00:25:07
Speaker
Right. I want, I need to go back and check. I wonder if a bit of that was cut. Oh, could be. I'll check. And then whenever she's like, um,
00:25:18
Speaker
you know, he's a senior in college and then she's like, and what does he think about your age? And she's like, he, he knows your age when you were, but that was in there. Yes.
00:25:31
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. But that, that was funny. Cause we kind of get introduced to the fact that They're teasing her because she is dating a younger guy.
00:25:43
Speaker
I was going to ask you this later on but do we do we find out how Monica and Ethan met? Is it addressed anywhere? Mm-mm. Because I want, like, I don't know. How does that happen?
00:25:57
Speaker
I assume it was just like a so on the subway. or You know, they weren't at the same destination together because where would they both be? hanging out, you know, they wouldn't both be at a concert, a bar, a coffee shop, things necessarily.
00:26:12
Speaker
Right. Yeah, I didn't think it was a dress, but wanted to check with you in case I had missed that. Yeah, no, I have no idea. Right. Well, um yeah, we bounce over to Chandler's office.
00:26:24
Speaker
I saw like a meme about Chandler's office a few weeks ago and it stuck with me. um You know, how successful really is he to be 26 and have an office like that in Manhattan?
00:26:36
Speaker
Like he must be doing really well. Yeah. You that's a lot of square footage um for one guy to have. So I thought that it just kind of occurred to me when I saw this scene, I remember seeing something about that.
00:26:52
Speaker
um yeah she puts She puts on a fake voice and when she answers the phone. It's very, very funny. off her earring. Yes. yeah um It ends up just being Ross, of course, but very, very well done by Phoebe. even I like the way she's sitting on the desk and all of that. She's kind of owning the space a bit, which I think is really, really good. Yes.
00:27:16
Speaker
And her outfit is so interesting. Right. With her lacy collar and the long sleeves. It's a very receptionist, stereotypical receptionist, but not like anything that we've actually seen them really wearing. so Right. So I just, I love it. She was playing a part.
00:27:39
Speaker
Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. Like she got dressed up. What's the receptionist look like? Yeah. Yes. Yeah, absolutely. Well, we go back to the girl's apartment. Monica's very nervous. She just wants to change her belt. It's too tight. She thinks she's made salmon when it was a fish and then is actually made lasagna.
00:27:59
Speaker
um Yeah. Very, very nervous. And then Rachel kind clocks that the reason she must be nervous is Monica might be wanting to take the relationship to the next level. um She's even shaved her legs.
00:28:14
Speaker
I mean, this is, she's out of control at this point is Monica. But yeah, i mean, it's kind of cute to see Monica like that, but we haven't seen that side of her. I don't know that really nervousness about date.
00:28:28
Speaker
and She must really like this guy. um It's just a shame. It's kind of got the foundation of both of them lying, which really doesn' doesn't help the situation.
00:28:40
Speaker
Correct. But let's see. Yeah, so we back at Central Park and Ross's beeper goes off. And I think I remember rightly kind of jumps out of his chair. But this was, think, was it the third person who is called 55 Jumbo?
00:28:57
Speaker
Yeah, trying to get a hold of Andre. That's right. And is this the scene? i love the line where he goes, judging by his number, I'd be a huge disappointment or something. I just like that line. I think that's very, very funny.
00:29:12
Speaker
um Well, I see Phoebe and Chandler come in. Phoebe's had a fantastic first day. um She's really enjoyed it. But then I think this is the point where she breaks the news to Chandler that nobody likes him.
Chandler's New Role Challenges
00:29:25
Speaker
Yeah. And she's like, except for that, no, no, it's nobody. That's right. It's nobody. Nobody at all. his was yes He's the boss, the boss man, the boss man, Bing, I think she says. I love the way that's delivered.
00:29:40
Speaker
It's so good. She is fitting right in. then they just all start picking on poor Chandler. Yeah.
00:29:51
Speaker
Because he's really done nothing wrong. He's just got a promotion. Like, that's it. um But they kind of, yeah, suddenly he's the boss, man. And people are not going to be as friendly with him, which is a shame. And they're picking.
00:30:06
Speaker
And that's that's the thing, man, is they're picking on things. about him that are actually the things that make him enjoyable to be around.
00:30:18
Speaker
Yes. You know? Absolutely. And then they his friends just jump right in and start teasing him about it, you know? Yeah. Could these reports be any later?
00:30:31
Speaker
That's right. Whenever he's like, the hills are alive with the sound of music. That's right. And all of that. They're cracking me up. Yeah, and Chandler going, this is so not true.
00:30:44
Speaker
Yeah, I feel so, I felt bad for Chandler there, though, because it's tough whenever people don't like you. Yeah, he got his feelings hurt, you know, and they don't like him for no real reason.
00:30:58
Speaker
So, yeah, i um I've got a lot of sympathy for Chandler in much of this episode, which we'll certainly get to. um But let's see. um We end up back at the girls' apartment and Ethan and Monica are on the couch.
00:31:14
Speaker
And I kind of like this story about gunpoint. Me too. Yeah, it's like it's kind of like naive and sweet and yet kind of understandable. And it feels like something any of us could have done at kit with you know when we were kids.
00:31:29
Speaker
Yes, you know absolutely. It makes logical sense. It does. and it The gunpoint, why would anybody ever go there? And it's like, okay, well, not like, but frontage road.
00:31:46
Speaker
Whenever you're driving down the highway yeah and you see the exit for, you know, whatever number, frontage road. I always thought that it was so weird that there were so many frontage roads all over the country like they were everywhere like Main Street you know let's say and and I found out that frontage roads was actually a thing yes a noun in itself not a proper noun that's again now that you explain it like that that's completely understandable and like ah yeah I'm sure lots of people have done that
00:32:27
Speaker
Yes, with gunpoint being an actual place. like yeah Yeah. Yeah, I kind of love it. um And they they do appear at this point like quite a sweet couple. like the kinds you know They're smitten and um but they kiss and then she in invites him to to stay over to spend the night and he reveals that you know he's a virgin this would be the first time that he would be doing that well and I thought it was funny whenever he was like well the you know you I need to share something with you she's like is this something like you have an early class in the morning you're secretly married to a goat and he's like somewhere in between in between them that's right
00:33:11
Speaker
Yeah. That made me laugh. Yeah, the next scene is it's quite funny. Like Ethan, I forget the actor's name. He's ah he's passed away, unfortunately.
00:33:22
Speaker
Oh, I didn't even know that. Yeah, he was, um oh yeah, passed away a couple of years ago. But i think he does it I think he does a great job acting, all in all. But I think this scene, that to me, is one of his shining points where he's like, you know, just man, oh man. He's kind of rolling around in the bed and kind of freaking out with excitement.
00:33:41
Speaker
Yeah. um but that's when they decide to reveal, i think at this point, isn't it, their true ages to each other. Well, yeah, but which was what wild to me because like he shares that with her and then she waits till after and she's like, you know, you shared something with me, so I'll share something with you.
00:34:03
Speaker
Right. Which I'm like, I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. And then he was like, okay, well now you've shared something else, so I'll share with you.
00:34:16
Speaker
yeah And then line about shiny guys named Chas. Right, right. That's a great line. There you There's your, your um what, ah preview or whatever so Cougar Town.
00:34:34
Speaker
Yeah. Right, see, that's it. This is, again, not watched Cougar Town. I just, I'm assuming that that's what it's all about. But, you know, find it, no, of course, it's it's just Icky is a very well-named episode.
00:34:50
Speaker
I found it a little funny that she kind of goes, that she'd be a felon in 48 states. Like, how does she know that? And how does she know there's two that she wouldn't be? But I'm just nitpicking at a TV show at that point. Like, where did she get the number 48 from?
00:35:04
Speaker
Yeah. yeah Yeah. Why not all 50? That's my question. Why not all 50? Yeah. I do love the bit about going, oh my God, I'm Joan Collins. Yes. And then he says, who? Who?
00:35:18
Speaker
And then whenever she's like, you wasn't you weren't even alive during the bicentennial. Right. Fred came my 17-year-old son came in. my my seventeen year old son came in and During that scene, whenever she's like, and he's like a bicentennial. And I'm like, yeah, exactly. like Right, right. Exactly, baby.
00:35:39
Speaker
Baby. then That was such a big deal. You know, that that's funny. Yeah, it's just, I think they both, both actors in this scene play it really well.
00:35:53
Speaker
um And they make it very funny. yeah ah Hang on a sec. yeah Do you know what the bicentennial is? Do you know what that was? Wouldn't that be 1976? No. years from 1776 was my guess.
00:36:17
Speaker
Hang on. Because I know i was alive. Because i remember because there was a like a covered wagon that went across and we drove to go see it. Right. Because it was a big deal and we got a quarter for it and everything else. So now I'm feeling dumb.
00:36:33
Speaker
Well, don't feel dumb, I'm sure. Because, yeah. It's got to be years. 1776, which would have made 1996. But he was alive. So. It'd be which would have made it ninety ninety six but he was alive so how will be it' be nineteen seventy six oh nineteen seventy six Yeah, 1776 to 1976 would be the bicentennial.
00:37:00
Speaker
Well, then wait, then what am I thinking of? Because I was not alive in 1976. Right. So what am I thinking about?
00:37:11
Speaker
I just double checked. i was typing away here. Texas is Texas's bicentennial has not happened yet. um Okay.
00:37:22
Speaker
You're going to have to call your dad or something. and Yeah, I'm going to have to call and find out what was that covered wagon and why do i remember the quarter coming out and all of that.
00:37:34
Speaker
Right. Okay. To you to be funny yeah too you to be revisited later about the Bicentennial, what am I confused with? What am I confused about?
00:37:53
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. It just, so that scene full of really, really funny moments. and We end up in the girl's apartment still, but we're not in Monica's bedroom. Ross is kind of giving up saying that he isn't Andre and he's just like taking bookings, making arrangements.
00:38:09
Speaker
um Okay. And then one of the lines that I just saw that was cut out, but he's like, I'll be there in 45 minutes. And he goes, yes, the kimonos are extra.
00:38:21
Speaker
What are you talking and What is he doing?
Monica's Workout Fashion
00:38:24
Speaker
Yes. Yeah, that's that's kind of nuts. um I wanted to ask you, so Monica comes in for a run, and the thing that stood out for me, um and again, this is a bit of nostalgia, is she has a massive Walkman um on her. And her Nike outfit. And and another Nike outfit. All right, as we discussed last episode. I'm going to keep an eye out for that.
00:38:48
Speaker
But I had two thoughts. One was... You know she's wearing, I can't, what the name of the materials, spandex or lycra, whoever is, they kind of stretch yourself. If you're running with a Walkman just on the waist of that, that seems like it wouldn't stay on to me.
00:39:03
Speaker
No, it would. It would? Okay. I've never done it. Well, because the clip, the clip that it would clip on, yeah like it'll, it's tight.
00:39:15
Speaker
And so because it's tight up against her skin, it's not going to go. It might, And it wasn't a Discman, so it's not going to be skipping or anything. She is good.
00:39:25
Speaker
Okay. Well, on the Discman note, I wanted to ask you, just take me on a very brief journey through your musical playing apparatus.
00:39:37
Speaker
Like, from the very beginning, like, did you have, like, a record player in the house? Did you ever have a Walkman, a Discman, an MP3 player? Like, anything that stands out to you in that genre? john okay Yes. So...
00:39:50
Speaker
Um, we had record player we in in our house, in the front room, and we had a huge collection of records that I was not allowed to touch until I was like, I don't know, nine or 10. Right.
00:40:08
Speaker
right You don't touch because you can scratch and yeah oh man. And then whenever I was like 13, I got a stereo in my room and it was so fancy because it had the record player.
00:40:20
Speaker
And the double um tape players. So you could record, you know, off of the radio or could record off of and each other. so you could like play the tape and then cut out the commercials and things like that.
00:40:38
Speaker
So that was awesome. You were living large. Living large. That was without my birthday present one year. And like, yeah, I was so pumped. And, um,
00:40:51
Speaker
And then, yeah, I had I'm sure I had a Walkman with the tape. And then in my car, I was so fancy because I had ah car Discman where you put the tape into the tape player and then it would play your CD through the tape, through the radio.
00:41:15
Speaker
That was so fancy, but it skips all the time. And so that was annoying. Yeah, it was great in theory. It clearly said anti-skip on the actual CD player, but it still skipped out. A bunch of charlatans, liars. Yeah, they it skipped.
00:41:32
Speaker
Yes. And then I had a little iPod mini. That was fun. It was green. It was so cute.
00:41:42
Speaker
Yep. And then... Yeah. We loaded up with iPhones and all of our music's on there. and And music is everywhere now and it's totally accessible.
00:41:54
Speaker
And, um, and then of course, you know, burning the CD is from the illegal download. Uh, I of course would never. would never. no But Napster was really, really cool.
00:42:07
Speaker
Napster was awesome. I'm so glad that we both lived in the in the time when Napster was a thing. yeah leaving that Leaving that to like download an album overnight and that kind of stuff.
00:42:19
Speaker
Oh yeah. And oh, there was a concert that came through and it was I went with my cousin Christopher and it was so cool. It was like Cypress Hill and, Limp Bizkit. And I can't remember who else, but like we waited in line outside forever to get in, but it was like the Napster, like, and it was all free and it was awesome.
00:42:46
Speaker
That's fantastic. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. so let's see, we, um, So I've sort of lost track of my notes. Yeah, so Monica comes in and she announces that she's broken up with Ethan, I think, at that point.
00:43:01
Speaker
um But then Phoebe comes in. No, Phoebe announces she's going to the work party. i Excuse me. um With work people. But Chandler's invited. Is that right? But but but but wait.
00:43:16
Speaker
Before that, you brought it up in Bamboozled and we've got to talk about it. Okay. did you Were you a fan of Power Rangers? Did you know anything about Power Rangers?
00:43:26
Speaker
They were a thing, I was never ah fan of them. I don't know it was just not quite the right time of my life for them to be, excuse me, like marketed to me.
00:43:37
Speaker
ah don't quite recall, but I knew who they were. So actually the mighty Morphin Power Rangers, right? Yes, you got it. And now that I'm thinking about, because are you you the youngest?
00:43:53
Speaker
Yes, I've got two older sisters. Okay. See, and I'm the oldest. And so I had my little brother and then my little cousin and, you know, all of that.
00:44:04
Speaker
And they were super into Power Rangers. And so I knew all about it, but it was probably because of them, right? Right.
00:44:15
Speaker
yeah Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The movie came out. It was a big deal around our family. so So I've got the hiccups all of a sudden. This will make for a good podcast. oh I remember. being pussy I think I just remember that being on the TV, but couldn't told you anything about it. Yeah. Yeah.
00:44:39
Speaker
Excuse me, I don't think. um Okay. Let's see. Yeah, going to have to think this one through. um Because it yeah all just rings about, I can hear the the theme song.
00:44:50
Speaker
So, I don't know, maybe I did watch it I've just forgotten. it um But let's see. Yeah, Phoebe and Chandler, they debrief about the, no, Phoebe's going to go to the party. That's right, with these work people. The Chandler's just not invited.
00:45:07
Speaker
which I wonder how long Phoebe's really been there at this point um to get invited to the party. me I suppose you might invite somebody straight away. but Especially if it's Phoebe.
00:45:20
Speaker
Yeah, she's a people person. Yeah, she's a people person and she's bored. So she has been, hi Kate!
00:45:32
Speaker
Deanne says hi. We're recording. Hello. um but It says hi. ah Good. um But yeah, she is ah she's bored. you know So she, I guarantee, has has networked in a fast time.
00:45:52
Speaker
Right. Sorry, I got slightly distracted there. Kate's getting a glass of water for me so people don't have to listen to me hiccuping for the rest of this episode because it's like stuck in there.
00:46:04
Speaker
Ah, goodness me. Sorry. Sorry, guys. She's being super helpful. And I'm all over the place. I'm discombobulated. I just lost my sheets. I've got them back now my little notes.
00:46:17
Speaker
Yep. So we immediately go from Chandler not being invited to them debriefing in Chandler's office. Um, I can't remember what he did, he did something that made him think it went, went well.
00:46:31
Speaker
Um, he's sick Ebony and Ivory that. That's it. that's it And then right before, and I think it might've been cut out of yours, but like that scene opens with him throwing a football and telling somebody go long. And then he throws the football to one of the other employees.
00:46:52
Speaker
And then he shuts the door and then they start talking about the... the I'm going to be hiccuping for the rest of the episode. That's it.
00:47:05
Speaker
Yeah, that that that bit is definitely cut out. We don't see him throwing a football out the door.
00:47:12
Speaker
um Let's see. um But yeah, they just don't like him. There's nothing Chandler could do. He's the he's the boss. There's nothing that he can do about that. so I think he just has to um accept and then embrace all of this, which he kind of does at the end.
Chandler's Embrace of Quirkiness
00:47:32
Speaker
Ross, we go back over to Central Punk. Ross has come up with a new system for Carol calling him. um yes The 911. The 911. Was that a done thing?
00:47:42
Speaker
like No, that was the code you put in if you needed somebody to call you right then. And then like I had friends that would send like 143 for I love you.
00:47:59
Speaker
and then and like different people had different codes for different things. Oh, there's a whole like paging acronym. And then we've gone back to text messages with that kind of thing. Yeah. it's laser principle of That's kind of fun.
00:48:16
Speaker
um But yeah, so Nathan, let's see. Ross, and I do quite like this line. Ross thinks that his cousin Nathan called for jumbo. And what does he say? Like, you know, I think I find out more than I need to know or something like that.
00:48:29
Speaker
yes. Yeah, I wish I'd written down, but I like that i really like Ross's delivery of that line. um So Ethan shows up and he tries to convince Monica, you know, for them to stay together.
00:48:42
Speaker
ah Is this the right scene where he kind of goes, you know, I'm your congressman. I'm married with kids or something. Yes, yes, I'm 30. Yeah, that's right. Yes. um I think he plays this character really really well and then the only thing that really bugs me and I think perhaps I'm a little overly sensitive to this and just don't like it but when Monica she's going to say something like she could see herself falling in love with him he like grabs her face you know and I guess it's for like comedy effect because then it kind of squeezes her cheeks together and she kind of but that's exactly what she did to him
00:49:21
Speaker
whenever he said it to her. he squeezes Oh, she squeezes his cheeks, is it? because Yeah, she is she squeezed his cheeks like whenever they were back in her apartment and he was talking and he had just showed and she was freaking out.
00:49:40
Speaker
She squeezed his cheeks. So then that was a throwback to that. different scenes. Where she's saying the same thing. Yeah. Yes, yes. Sorry, Kate's sitting over here and she is working away and she was talking about the scene you were talking about.
00:49:56
Speaker
So it's nice. Yeah, we're all right. Yeah, I just, I don't know. To me, that always just seems like, ah, don't do that to somebody else. um Right, you know like right. Absolutely. That's such a personal space thing. Yeah, that's exactly. what In what situation could you and I, for example, be sitting talking in a public place or anywhere else?
00:50:15
Speaker
And would that kind of behavior be acceptable between it? Like, it just... Yeah, I just find that yeah yeah you're exactly right. That's what it is. It's a personal space issue, I think. ah Yeah, i bring your hands all over somebody's face.
00:50:30
Speaker
um So we we um wander back up to the hallway of Chandler's office. The people are kind of the co-workers. I was going to write down their names and forgot, but they're kind of making fun of him at the water cooler.
00:50:44
Speaker
Did you note down their names? Because I think Chandler says all three of their names. One was odd one was ah One stuck out to me as a very odd one. Gersten, Santos, and then the guy with the mustache.
00:50:58
Speaker
Right. Okay. It was Gersten and Santos. Santos. That's right. See, three odd names. I imagine those are all last names, right? oh That's true. that's Santos especially.
00:51:08
Speaker
yeah That gives us the clue. They're last names. Yeah. But um I kind of like the fact that he's just embracing who he is. He's not changing himself. If they don't like him just because he's the boss, so be it.
00:51:22
Speaker
So be it. Yes, some people are going to be working together. this This weekend. Exactly. It's really well done. um So we can we go back over to the girls' apartment and this is where Rachel's asleep on the couch um where Kate shrewdly spotted that it was ah the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson as we've discussed in Bamboozled.
00:51:45
Speaker
She is. She's very smart. She is. um And Ross kind of puts the blankets on her and she starts to have uh the dream about ross okay can we just discuss yes that blanket and how completely pointless and stupid that blanket is that did not help her be warm that did not help anything it's not the same blanket i can't picture it it's not the same one is it from when chandler walks in and sees with the boobies yes no okay it's not the same one okay
00:52:21
Speaker
No, it's, but it's this, it's like an even lighter material. Like that one, you know, it, it was like knitted. It had big, thick, uh, material to it, just holes all over it because it was knitted or the way it was crocheted or whatever.
00:52:39
Speaker
But no, this one was like, uh, like a lacy, holy thing. Like it what's the point it was the only purpose of doing that was just so he could feel like he was doing something.
00:52:56
Speaker
Right. yeah You know what I mean? Like placebo blanket a fine gesture, but like, what was the point? I, write other than make him feel like he was doing something.
00:53:10
Speaker
Yeah. That's just me being a hater. i'm sorry. Yeah. It's a blanket that doesn't really function as a blanket. It's not actually going to do anything. No, that's just to look pretty on the back of the couch.
00:53:24
Speaker
Right. It's a decorative one. Yeah. yeah Yeah. Okay. Sorry. Ross is dancing on the table. I do enjoy that kind of celebration he pops up there. yeah It was a very Chandler-like thing to do. That's what I thought. It's a very similar sort of behavior.
00:53:45
Speaker
um yeah Yeah. But then, of course, he falls off. And he is quite good with the sort of slapstick comedy, that fall like the physical comedy, rather. I think he falls off very well.
00:53:56
Speaker
um and then yeah him and Rachel they start to have a moment where obviously she's very confused and yes what's quite going on and this could be a will they won't they moment but his pager goes off and suddenly his life is about to change um yeah So he, yeah, suddenly it goes off. It's Carol. She's in labor.
00:54:23
Speaker
And everyone is about to get ready, as we discussed in Bamboozle, to get out in the hallway very, very slowly. um Yes. Which I didn't think about that being kind of like a precursor to the one where nobody's ready.
00:54:39
Speaker
So I like that. Yeah, maybe they thought that scene was good, so decided to make a whole episode out of it. I don't know. That was good.
00:54:49
Speaker
But yeah, we kind of end up in the hallway with that really funny scene of everyone being the opposite of of in a rush. You know, they're all taking their time. They're distracted by other things. um but As you pointed out, I do love that they all go down the stairs and that could have ended show.
00:55:06
Speaker
Be fine. But they take that minute just to look at Ross, who's internally absolutely panicking, I'm sure. Yes. yeah he um Yeah, he's about to become a father. So all very exciting stuff. And that's how this episode ends.
00:55:25
Speaker
um I do have some brand new information for you. um Given that a lot of this is about ages, I thought I'd look up some information about the ages.
00:55:37
Speaker
um So the actor played, e oh what do you have? What do you have? No, sorry. i I've been texting my parents. and So now I know what I was talking about, but go ahead and I'll i'll share it then.
00:55:50
Speaker
You know, I would love to hear it now, but let's save it for the end of the episode. We'll leave everyone on a the cliff edge here. All right. So the actor who played young Ethan, it was a guy called Stan Kirsch, who again, unfortunately is no longer with us.
00:56:03
Speaker
He was 27 at the time that this episode aired. Thank goodness. Right. He is actually a year older than Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry.
00:56:15
Speaker
They were both born in 1969. I'm assuming he was born then in 68. But I thought that was really interesting. He's actually older. um And Courtney Cox was 31 at time this episode aired, which makes... um So she is five years... No, sorry, let's see.
00:56:38
Speaker
Courtney Cox, yes, was 31. Monica was 26. Yeah.
00:56:43
Speaker
That's right. I kind of scribbled all these notes down. um And then we kind of find out when Monica's birthday might be given, um you know, when this aired.
00:56:56
Speaker
But really, i just thought it was interesting. He was almost 27 and actually older than two of the stars on the show. um Because I don't know I can't decide if he looks really young or it's just we know him as young Ethan and and that's that.
00:57:12
Speaker
Yeah, but okay. What I feel 100% confident in saying is he does not look 17. His hairline is not that of a 17-year-old. Well, yes. And I was looking at my 17-year-old son and, you know, I'm like, that man is obviously older than him. And whenever you put my son with other 17-year-olds,
00:57:37
Speaker
Like he, he does not, it's so sad. he doesn't have his little baby face anymore. That makes him look so young. Oh, no. But, but, um, yeah, like he, he, it was a stretch for him to be 17. That's kind of what I was thinking too.
00:57:58
Speaker
Um, and even just the way he carries himself and talks. like There's just no way guys in high school. Yeah. But um yeah, I thought it'd be interesting just to look up kind of their real ages.
00:58:09
Speaker
um Talk to me about your Gunther Central Park. Who did you like? all right My Gunther Central Park for this episode is Phoebe. No, I'd love to hear why. Why Phoebe?
00:58:23
Speaker
Well, ah you know what? Because she was, she was there. She caught, she was, just, she was the good friend in this episode for me, for a Chandler and the way that she helped support Chandler through this, because it's a change, right?
00:58:40
Speaker
Going from, you know, a coworker to the boss and she was kind about it and everything else, but she was very honest and, and kind of pushed him accept the fact that it's different now.
00:58:58
Speaker
And your relationships are different now. In her wonderful Phoebe yeah tough love kind of way. Absolutely. yeah I'm going to stick with my original choice, but you make a very good argument for Phoebe.
00:59:13
Speaker
Got to be said. But for sort of similar reasons, I'm going with Chandler because I thought he handled the situation pretty well. As as we we know on this podcast, I do love a good unhinged Chandler.
00:59:25
Speaker
He didn't go there. He didn't go down that road. He held it together. He realized it's really not his fault. he's It's not him personally. He didn't actually do anything.
00:59:36
Speaker
And so he held it together, showed a lot growth. ah So for for that reason, similar to to Phoebe, um yeah, definitely Chandler for me.
00:59:47
Speaker
Now, it's notes not Sunday morning anymore, Sunday afternoon, but we're imagining we're going to the coffee shop.
Episode Ratings and 'Ick' Factor Discussion
00:59:54

How many cups of coffee are we going to have for this episode? Seven, and then the first low shot.
01:00:02
Speaker
ah set All right, all right. that's seven an and a half. Seven and a half. were We're differing on this one for me. I'm i'm not that thirsty. We're going down to six.
01:00:12
Speaker
I was going to say you couldn't get past the ick. I couldn't get past the ick, and I always, in my head, what i'm just I'm learning about myself as we watch Friends. There's always, of course, the main storyline, then there's like a B plot, and sometimes even a third one.
01:00:28
Speaker
And for me, I preferred... the chandler and phoebe kind of story arc with the the office more than the main icky one and even that wasn't that great there was nice moments but there was nothing really to it so i figured it's not like a horrible episode by any means but it's it's not going to get any more than a six from me because i could have done wow sticking with sticking with the six Okay.
01:00:58
Speaker
Yes. There you go. Very good. So that's it. Okay. So can I tell you my mistake? We are at that point of the show. I would love to hear it. All right.
01:01:10
Speaker
So it was not the bicentennial. There was a bicentennial quarter that I remember whenever that was came out. Right. And I remember trying to collect them.
01:01:22
Speaker
But the, the covered wagon and all of that, that I remember that it went all around Texas for Texas's sesquintennial celebration.
01:01:36
Speaker
which 150 years, which was in 1986. 86. I have that license plate up in my garage. have a plate from 1980. Well, there you go.
01:01:47
Speaker
That's what it's in general. Yeah. I hope I'm saying that correctly. I feel like I am. think so. I'm certainly not going correct you. Oh, I didn't tell you on friends related notes.
01:01:58
Speaker
You remember a few weeks ago, we recorded an episode and we were talking about, I've forgotten the name again, the little small vegetable appetizers that have a French name.
01:02:11
Speaker
Yes. Do you remember the French name? No, but I can flip back. Kate gave me such a hard time, and rightly so, because I ah anglicized it tremendously and pronounced it absolutely wrong.
01:02:25
Speaker
And then so did my sister, ah Sally, yeah who will hope to in this. Oh, Yeah, because, of course, she was completely right and I was completely wrong. But... um And now the name is the one. so Was it no cruty the one who's the high guy?
01:02:42
Speaker
or Yes. It's not Crudité, is it? That's something else. um The Crudité? Crudité. That's not what it is. That's not what it is. But is that what that what you were thinking of?
01:02:56
Speaker
Yeah, that must be it. Okay, hang on. you know its it was ah It was very funny. i took to think I don't think I'm going to live this down. no.
01:03:08
Speaker
Yes. It was not the moose-bouche. Suddenly it's disappeared. oh it wasn't that? It wasn't the moose-bouche. No, it was, oh, you know, it' was the one with the poker.
01:03:19
Speaker
um Because Joey says, you know, you can only have snacks with, like, one syllable. Oh, yeah, chips. Or yeah, chips, dips, and pretz. Pretz, that's right. it was whatever she tried to sound.
01:03:32
Speaker
um It's suddenly going on my head. Listeners are probably screaming. dang. What it? Oh, no. You know, we will find out for next week. But my sister rightly gave me a hard time about that. So Sally, thank you for righting my wrongs and putting us back on the right track. That's what big sisters are for. Way to go, Sally. Sally is on it.
01:03:54
Speaker
Sally is the best. Okay, give me just one sec. All right, we have to know. Yes. um We do have to know. Yes. what While you're looking that up, I'll kind of float out that we have just two episodes left this season.
01:04:10
Speaker
um Next will be the one with the birth, which we're very excited about. And after we've recorded these two, we will be doing some kind of live season one trivia Zoom.
01:04:24
Speaker

group club um on Facebook because you can talk to us directly there. Let us know you're interested and we'll share the link with you when it comes to that time. But it'll be probably two or three weeks and we'll do that. But we're just going to have some fun.
01:05:03
Speaker
Like I said, do some trivia, talk about our favorite episodes. I have deliberately not added up who my favorite Gunther Central Parks are for the season. I haven't even looked to see where my rankings are, like what my favorite episode is, what my worst is.
01:05:19
Speaker
i haven't done any of that. and I'm going to wait until we're ready for the show to do that. And we'd love to have you guys on the Zoom to get your feedback, see what you love, what you don't love. um But we'll do that in a few weeks.
01:05:31
Speaker
Wilson, do we have any luck finding out what that warrant is? Yes, we do. So she served... salmon roulette and assorted CRUDITES.
01:05:45
Speaker
Crudite. Is it crudite? Because I think think that's- Because we would have called it crudites because that's how it's spelled. And that sounds like some kind of semi-precious gemstone, doesn't it? Right.
01:06:00
Speaker
Yeah. You're right. It's a crudity. Crudity. That's what it is. um So again, thank you to not only Kate, but to my dear sister Sally for righting my wrongs and steering me in the right direction in life in all sorts of ways.
01:06:18
Speaker
So, Deanne, do you have any final thoughts about this episode before we wrap this up? Just one word. Ick. And on that note, what a perfect way to end the podcast. Thank you guys all for listening to the Purple Door Podcast.
