Introduction and Summer Setting
00:00:04
Speaker
Well, hello and welcome to the latest episode of the Purple Door Podcast, a friend's rewatch pod. I am one of your hosts, Alistair, alongside my good friend, Deanne. Deanne, how are you on this wonderful Sunday afternoon?
00:00:18
Speaker
I'm great, but I'm sweaty because I've been outside and it is so hot and humid and nasty. But it's great because that means summer's here.
00:00:30
Speaker
And that's great. I like, yeah, summer is great except the heat. I could do without it. I was outside cutting the grass and doing that sort of thing this morning, and it is just horrifically hot.
Season Two Launch and Fan Appreciation
00:00:42
Speaker
But thankful for air conditioning on days like today. yes Yes, yes. I went to a farmer's market this morning, which was delightful. I got some cute little cherry tomatoes for my lunches this week, but there weren't any melons.
00:00:58
Speaker
And my mom was saying that maybe it's because it's still too early in the season. But I was kind of disappointed in that. Yeah, that is a little sad. That's one of the staples of the farmer's market. Right? Some excellent, excellent melons.
00:01:12
Speaker
But no, not today. Next time. Next time. Next time. Next time, we'll but you'll have to head back. Well, today we are back. It is season two, episode one.
00:01:24
Speaker
Very excited. We have made it all the way to season two. So thank you to everybody who has stuck with us through season one. um We've had an absolutely great time. We've made new friends. We've had a couple of you know events where we've recorded the live episode and painting with a twist and As we said, made you connections and friends through our Facebook group and Instagram. So it's been a really, really fun time doing this podcast. And I can't wait to get stuck into season two.
00:01:55
Speaker
Yes, and all of the fun things that will come up this season as well.
Ross's New Girlfriend: Dynamics and Humor
00:02:00
Speaker
and It'll be great. Yes, yes. Well, we're starting off season two, episode one, with something new, and that is because the episode is all about Ross's new girlfriend. But before we get stuck into before we get stuck into that and our feelings about Julie and Rachel and Ross and all of that, it's time for the opening bamboozled for season two.
00:02:23
Speaker
So I'm excited to get stuck into these questions. I believe you have one more question than i so you should definitely, you should definitely start off. Okay. This question has two parts. Okay.
00:02:37
Speaker
So two parts. It does. It does. So the first part is what does Chandler call Joey when he returns from the Taylor? And whenever Chandler like walks in from the trailer.
00:02:51
Speaker
And then extra points, if you can tell me what that word means. All right. i If I Googled this successfully, big because it's one of those things, again, we're looking through a new lens, the Purple Door Podcast lens.
00:03:06
Speaker
I love the delivery, but I've never known what the warrant was. Yes. so looked up So I believe it's something like paizon, which means, and the thing I saw had several definitions, but it's yeah is like a brother or something in Italian. Friend, brother, compadre. Contra- Yeah, I wrote down, Italian countrymen. Like a python.
00:03:30
Speaker
Yeah, I wasn't sure if it was, it sounded it sounds to me like it could have been a character in a musical or something. Right? I had no idea. Which is why I went down that, because I was, why did he call him that? Like, you know, is is this a story of something else? Because we have learned throughout season one that all these references, there's random things.
00:03:54
Speaker
that pop up. But then I was like, that's actually really funny. Yeah, I've always giggled at it just because of the delivery without having any of what it actually meant. yeah I love that. All right. Well, my first question for you is, according to Phoebe, what is Vidal Sassoon's catchphrase?
00:04:15
Speaker
Oh, if you don't look good, we don't look good. I love that voice. It is indeed, yes.
00:04:24
Speaker
i love it all right question two where did julia and ross originally meet they originally met i believe in grad school that is correct yes all right my next one for you is what is phoebe doing when monica originally asks her for a haircut
00:04:52
Speaker
she's sitting at the table she is She is. She is doing something at the table.
00:05:03
Speaker
What is she doing? What is she doing? Yeah. ah What is she doing? She is playing cards. Oh, she sure is.
00:05:13
Speaker
She's playing it. Looks like solitaire. looks like I was trying to look at what game it looks like solitaire, but was not sure. Yeah. Wow. Good one. Wow. There we go. All right. Your third question.
00:05:26
Speaker
Where did Rachel find Paulo? She found him but in his apartment. and so I mean, if you're going Weird.
00:05:36
Speaker
So weird. Yeah. What are the odds?
00:05:41
Speaker
I like it. All right. My third one for you. According to Ross, what is ironic about sumo wrestling? These are the guys that were... Picked last at and Jim.
00:05:53
Speaker
Indeed they were. Yes. Yes, that's so funny. It's a great line. Okay, and I think I actually sent you a video this week that had this in there. But how long does Chandler went to his cuffs on his pants?
00:06:13
Speaker
How long is it? At least as long as he has the pants. Something like that. Yes. Yes. And I sent you that video, didn't I? I think so. With all the finish the lines.
00:06:25
Speaker
Yes. Yes. That was. Yes. That's actually. Yeah. It's a good one. It's a good one. Such a clever response. and was Speaking of. It takes him a minute to like get it. Because he's like like silent. And then he goes, oh.
00:06:42
Speaker
I just got that. have Well, sneaky speaking of that guy, what what is the tailor's name?
00:06:52
Speaker
is it... oh it's just Just the first name. Is it Tony? No, but it sounds a little similar. It ends with the same same sound. Ah...
00:07:09
Speaker
I'll give you an easy clue. There's a very famous scene later on. ah Ross wears a t-shirt that's too small for him and it says the same thing. Frankie. Frankie it is. Yes.
00:07:20
Speaker
Yes. Yes. All right. You are up.
00:07:26
Speaker
Okay. and What's the silver lining? Oh. um ah Okay. No. What's the silver lining Chandler tells Rachel with the julie with the whole Julie situation?
00:07:42
Speaker
aye, aye. All right, I remember him saying that, but I do not remember. I don't remember what it is. And it says...
00:07:56
Speaker
That he came up with the idea to date Julie all by himself, without help from anybody. All by himself. All by himself. It's just like, how's that silver lining? Well, you have to look really hard.
00:08:09
Speaker
That's right. Another great line. Yes. um This is a tricky one. This is a tricky one. What is the name of this tailor's store?
00:08:23
Speaker
We see an outside shot of it before the end. Oh, Al. I know. i know. Kate would be upset with me. Is the tailor shop? The Italian tailor?
00:08:36
Speaker
It is Celestino's custom tailor. Wow. Yeah, that's rude. It is it's very rude. See, but that's the mix that I was talking about. This is the mix. Like, you got go one in. No, I will say it is a real Taylor's that's still open to this day. They have Yelp reviews.
00:08:55
Speaker
It is. They just did a random you know shot of a New York street. And um yeah, it's a real place. it exists. Wow. Do they have questionable tailors that measure pants in questionable ways?
00:09:09
Speaker
You know what? I don't know, but I'd love to go in and see if there's any... You didn't bring all Yelp reviews? I did not. I should have written reviews. Oh, Al. yeah it cupping or not cupping okay um so how does rachel get chandler to talk to ross about julie because she kind of manipulates the situation so if i'm if i remember this correctly
00:09:42
Speaker
Ross orders a coffee, sits down, Rachel comes over with a lemonade and tells him he has to return it. Well, that's how she gets Ross to go away so she can find out what they talked about.
00:09:54
Speaker
But she does something before that so Chandler will talk to Ross. And then she manipulates that situation to get Ross to go away so she can find out what they talked about. Oh.
00:10:07
Speaker
You're going to have to tell me. Okay, so she tells Chandler he's not getting any coffee until he's talked to Ra. That's right. Because he's, you know, can I get a coffee? Have you talked to Ra?
00:10:18
Speaker
No. Okay, well then, no. Well then, no. That's right. yeah That's a good one. All right. I was going to ask you, let me make sure I haven't written this down. No, I've not.
00:10:33
Speaker
no i've not I was going to ask you who Monica wanted her haircut like, but I thought that's a bit easy. Who does Julie want her haircut like in the final? Andy McDowell.
00:10:45
Speaker
Yes. Well done. Yes. Joseph and I had a whole big, long conversation about Dudley Moore, Demi Moore, right Andy McDowell, and Rodney McDowell.
00:10:57
Speaker
Interesting. Yes. So that's fresh on my mind right there. um Okay. Okay. So who was the voice inside of Ross's head whenever he was in China?
00:11:12
Speaker
And who was it not?
00:11:16
Speaker
Oh, that's another great question. I do not know the answer. I remember the conversation, but don't remember who he says. It was not God.
00:11:29
Speaker
It was the Chandler. That's it. Yes.
00:11:35
Speaker
Okay. I've got my final question for you. ka What time does Ross say it is in Beijing when he's in the girl's apartment with Julie? The sixth tomorrow night.
00:11:47
Speaker
Correct. Which is impossible and factually incorrect, by the way. Because i think oh I Googled this this morning because i knew it had to be wrong.
00:11:59
Speaker
I think there's a 13-hour time difference between New York and Beijing. Um, so in order for it to be 6 PM, it'd have to be 5 AM m in New York. And obviously he's saying tomorrow night.
00:12:13
Speaker
So, Oh yeah. Yeah. So they're almost saying it's close to 24 hours, um, which it cannot be. Huh? Huh? Yeah.
00:12:25
Speaker
All right. um So after Ross and Julie meet the gang, where are they going?
Airport Reunion and Rachel's Dilemma
00:12:35
Speaker
where are they going are they going to the same place yes well i would assume yes because she kind of seems to be traveling along with wherever yeah i would i would assume they're going to one of their apartments no no i don't know they're going to see the babies that's right that's right i was off to a strong start and then i think i got three in a row wrong at the end now good i wasn't even keeping track out now there was i i tell shit was and just fun we're not keeping score no
00:13:19
Speaker
Now, I am out of questions. Do you have any more? Okay. Nope. That was it. That's that's what I thought. Excellent. All right. Well, let's get stuck into the one. Is it the one with the new girlfriend? it's the one with Ross's new girlfriend. That's the actual title. Yes.
00:13:34
Speaker
Because I had that whole second guessing in my head. Is it R-O-S-S apostrophe S? R-O-S-S. Just apostrophe. But then have to say it is with the S. Yep. Yeah, it's apostrophe S.
00:13:46
Speaker
Yes, because there's only one Ross. thats Just S apostrophe. kate Kate is disagreeing with us. No, she's wrong because there's only one Ross. There's only one Ross, so you have apostrophe S, even if it ends with an S. The only time that you just have the apostrophe by itself.
00:14:05
Speaker
It's not apostrophe That apostrophe shows possession. All right, we're going to have to look into this because both of you are very... ah very sure it has to be it has to be a plural it has to be a plural i can hear her can she hear me she cannot hear you because you're plugged into my headphones you tell her it has to be a plural with an s to not have the apostrophe it's ross's apostrophe all right wilson says it has to be apostrophe s because there's a plural but we're gonna know because ross is a singular because ross is a singular
00:14:43
Speaker
People's names that end in S, singular or plural, do not always take an apostrophe with S in possessive. Sorry, this has turned into a wonderful podcast segment. Let's see. Because i been gays white every Every day is a school day, Wilson.
00:14:56
Speaker
good All right. Ross' apostrophe and Ross' is a ross apostrop and ross's apostrophe s are... Correct in the singular possessive. Okay. But only Roth apostrophe is correct in the plural possessive. Okay, so you're back correct. Everyone's correct. She was more correct than I was, though.
00:15:17
Speaker
oh You cannot see this, but Willison's jaw just hit the table. It's true. It's true. So Kate, who you may know, my wonderful wife, is not she cannot hear me but cannot hear Willison because she is working on the other side of our office.
00:15:30
Speaker
um Yes. Okay. Well, this is beaming from ear to ear as if she has a coat hanger stuck in her mouth because she is correct. um But kind of both correct. I think both, I mean.
00:15:43
Speaker
Grammar rules. That's right. Get it? Grammar rules. Grammar rules. Oh, my God. Hello, educational dorkiness. Hi, I'm here. You would never guess that we're all in different capacities in the world of education, would you? Never. You would Well, we do start this episode where we left off at the end of season one. We are in the airport.
00:16:09
Speaker
Ross is waiting and Ross exits. Okay. Wait. Yes. Wait. Rewind. But the whole little recap with Phoebe is so precious. Yes, there is a recap. Yes. i I love it because Phoebe is so cute. And I just love that it was her that did it.
00:16:28
Speaker
But she was, actually, it was Monica who did the last recap. Whenever, between the ones, one with part one and the one with part two.
00:16:40
Speaker
right That's right. So now I'm curious if because i know i can think of one one where joey does a recap the beach house yeah uh-huh uh-huh so i'm super curious to see if everybody gets the opportunity to do a recap but i just i loved it because at the end she's like so enough about us how have you been and i thought that's so cute Yeah, I can't think when the others do. Like you, I can think of the Joey one because I feel it's one of the only times they're he's looking directly at the camera and talking.
00:17:18
Speaker
Yeah. ah We'll need to keep an eye on that, though. Uh-huh. Yeah, I think so. That's right. forgot about that. Good recap. But yeah back in the airport, different people in the airport in the background. I went back and had a little look.
00:17:34
Speaker
um There's different extras, things like that. yeah I didn't see if they were all different or not, but just noticed some of them are not the same people. But she's ready. She's with the the brooch thing that Ross got or whatever it was, pinned on her shirt. She's got her flowers.
00:17:54
Speaker
and ready yes god and then okay yes how awkward and what a terrible like uh i can in that scene she does such a good job where it's just like oh god i gotta get away gotta get away You know, and I have felt like that so many times in my little life that she just does it so beautifully and awkwardly. And could this moment get any worse? Yes, it can.
00:18:28
Speaker
can indeed. Because of all the scenarios that you could imagine, that's really very unlikely that that is one that simplyly that she thought would happen.
00:18:39
Speaker
Yes, and then it would have been so easy just to turn around and slip out and nobody ever see you. Right. I could totally have been on board with that, and she tries to, and she can't get by. did She climbs over because it's like, okay, there's her shot. like She climbs over that, she can get around that guy, and she's out of here.
00:19:01
Speaker
and And that's not what happened at all. No, no. yeah you had to She had to, yeah, she ends up cutting her forehead. Yes. It just falls apart.
00:19:13
Speaker
Well, and it everybody looks. Like, have you ever been in a situation like that where you're like, oh, God, if I could just, like the Homer Simpson meme where he goes back into the hedges. Into the hedge. you You know, you try so hard, but then it's like she managed to make such a big scene.
00:19:31
Speaker
that everybody was looking. and so there was no way that Ross wasn't going to see her. yeah That was terrible. I'm trying to think there must have been a scenario where that has happened to me, but it's not coming to the top of my head. yeah God, just, I feel like everybody, right. At some point, like you could so identify with that.
00:19:52
Speaker
And she did such a great job of, of just the acting in that piece. And, Like Rachel, i don't know. We'll talk a lot about her later, but I just, I love her.
00:20:03
Speaker
Love her. Yeah. She, um, I mean, I think given this scenario and given what happened and all that, I think she handles it fairly well. Um, you know it's obviously awkward and difficult and she's not on her best game, but she's been thrown into a very difficult situation.
00:20:22
Speaker
Um, But we do, speaking of Rachel, we get back to the girls' apartment and everyone's waiting for Rachel and Ross to show up, hopefully arm in arm. But then Rachel burst through the door, out of breath, having gone up those stairs two or three at a time, I imagine, um to to try and tell them about Julie.
00:20:44
Speaker
um But yeah, poor old Rachel, poor old Rachel. Yeah. let see um I'm trying to think, it as did she need to run ahead?
00:20:56
Speaker
you know She could have just come in the door with them and then it would have been very obvious that they're not together. and But she's panicked and now she has a head injury.
00:21:07
Speaker
That's true, she's wounded. Because wounded almost unhinged. Like whenever he's like, and so it' turn you know they turn around, they start talking and then she's like,
00:21:18
Speaker
She's got the flowers and she's like, but these for you. are for you. Welcome to our country. And Julie's like, oh that's you know, just unhinged.
00:21:29
Speaker
So I think she's, I mean, because this has changed what her entire plan was. Yes. i think Everything. and i suppose She's just unhinged and spiraling. She's having a Chandler moment.
00:21:45
Speaker
And I think it's been mentioned already, maybe it's later, maybe it's another season altogether, that she's not used to being rejected. Not that she got rejected in this, but...
00:21:57
Speaker
She sort of inadvertently did. She sort of did, in a sense. and Right. I think she has, somewhere it comes up where she she says that she's never asked somebody out and they've said no or something.
00:22:11
Speaker
So this might be a new and new thing for her. But before Rachel comes in, I forgot, Joey and Chandler are sporting their new haircuts. The B-plot of this episode is Phoebe suddenly becoming a hairdresser.
Phoebe's Hairdressing Adventure
00:22:24
Speaker
um which, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think we see this, you know, her skills with the scissors at any other point. No, I don't think so. This is a a one and done B-plot.
00:22:38
Speaker
um Yeah, Chandler Joe's hair looks pretty good for somebody who's not a not a hairdresser, I think. I think Chandler's to me looks, I think it's just different. um But good on Phoebe for giving it a shot.
00:22:52
Speaker
Um... But yeah, Rachel enters in a panic, hasn't helped Julie or Ross with the luggage. um And I think, yeah, Ross and Julie are trying to explain this story, but Rachel keeps just jumping in. Again, I think she's unhinged. Now, I wanted to ask you about something. This seems to be, it's one of the...
00:23:11
Speaker
more more famous lines from this episode, certainly, and perhaps the whole season, where Rachel says, isn't that just kick you in the crotch, spit on your neck, fantastic? What what does that mean? Where does it come from? i haven't Googled it. Is that real thing?
00:23:28
Speaker
Yeah, I've got no, what like, what does it, is this just completely made up? i I always thought that it was just completely made up.
00:23:39
Speaker
Because Monica's like, oh, it's an expression. And so I was like, though it's not. She was just trying to cover for her because she can see what a dumpster fire and how unhinged Rachel yeah has become. Because I could see the the the kick in the crotch. You know, there's variants of that that can get used to describe something that was bad.
00:24:02
Speaker
you know that was that was Yeah, but the spit on your neck thing. was like, what? you know You know, people will say, oh, that was a kick in the fill in the blank here. but Oh, yeah.
00:24:13
Speaker
But the spit on your neck thing, that just seems kind of disgusting and kind of weird. and Now, spit on your face. Yeah. Like, that's rude.
00:24:24
Speaker
Yeah. But I don't know that that's really like a... Yeah, because people say it's a kick in the pants. Yeah. You know? Huh! I don't know. I haven't looked it up. but It's just I've always thought about that one. That seems yeah seemed an odd one to me.
00:24:41
Speaker
But Ross and Julie do explain how they met, as you brought up in Bamboozled. It was at grad school, but then Julie was in charge of the dig. um also Which is odd if she lives in New York, then how she in charge of the dig in China?
00:24:56
Speaker
But maybe it's, I mean, who knows? Who knows what the situation is there? Yeah. Yeah, we go over to Central Park and this is the bit where Rachel has manipulated or is about to manipulate the situation you talked about.
00:25:09
Speaker
Chandler and Ross walking in. but i think Again, I've written it down in my notes, but I do feel that this would be cheating if I looked through all my notes and but in Bamboozled. Rachel won't give Chandler coffee until he talks to Ross about what has happened. There you get I mean, if i if I write it down but don't remember it, I don't deserve to get the question right anyway.
00:25:30
Speaker
Yeah, Ross explains that Chandler's, oh, here's another one. Yeah, Ross explains that Chandler's voice was in him saying it might never happen. um And Chandler explains to Rachel with all of that.
00:25:42
Speaker
Yes. Because he's like, yeah, there was a little voice in my head. And do you know who it was? God. No, it was you. It was you. yeah Now, I was trying to see, I don't know if you could see, um there's a slight correlation with Rachel here, possibly, and Chandler a wee bit later on in the episode.
00:26:05
Speaker
Does Rachel's shirt have a little name tag that says Jessie on it? It says something like that. Okay, it does say something. I couldn't figure it out, but I thought it's a cute shirt.
00:26:18
Speaker
Yeah. It's a very shirt. I couldn't really make it out either. I thought jesse Jesse was the closest I could kind of see, but didn't know who that would be if it was just, you know, a fashion statement rather than an actual um and actual person.
00:26:35
Speaker
um But yeah, I was curious about that. Again, I might look that up once we have recorded. But we end up back in the girl's apartment. I see Ross, Joey and Rachel are sitting watching the sumo wrestling of all things.
00:26:53
Speaker
Monica asks Phoebe for the haircut, but she's Phoebe is quite adamant in the beginning that she's not going to do it because she says that she's too controlling. um You know, it's very, very clever.
00:27:05
Speaker
Oh, yeah. She's like, no, you're not. I know, but you are. Trying to spare your feelings or something. Yeah. And then, it's fun I do like this this episode because we do have the Julie story, the haircut story, and then the Taylor story.
00:27:21
Speaker
You know, three quite strong... story once because Chandler enters and he asked the group for a good Taylor recommendation and this is where Joey says that he should go and see Frankie I can't remember how long oh that's right it's his family's been seeing them for years and then it's such a silly line but I do love the since I was 15 no 16 no excuse me 15 when he goes back like it matters like anybody cares but right very very well uh done very very well indeed yes yes yes and like whatever think
00:28:04
Speaker
fifteen or sixteen and in nineteen ninety you would have been and of twenty thissh but at the same time it's like what right what are you talking about it's great writing just you you know that fits his character very very good yes love it and then ross ross is being just rude here when he's on the phone with rachel on the phone with julie and rachel is about three inches from his face um you know you hang up you hang up
00:28:38
Speaker
I mean, just what's what's Ross thinking here? And good on Rachel for just hanging up the phone, in my opinion.
00:28:46
Speaker
Yeah. What are your thoughts on that? um ah Very juvenile. Like, how silly? How silly?
00:28:57
Speaker
But then you're on somebody else's phone. Like, they were Rachel was already irritated that she had her phone number. Yeah. yeah That made me laugh whenever they're like, who gave it to her?
00:29:11
Speaker
Was it the masseuse? The actor? Or the guy that's dating her? That scene is not in the stream. Oh, really?
00:29:22
Speaker
it is not. Oh, okay. Well, there you go. See, my website's down. Or the episode, I tried to pull it up, you know, that has ah highlighted blue cards.
00:29:33
Speaker
And that one, it's like not there for that episode. Interesting. yeah So I have no idea. oh yeah. So whenever the phone calls.
00:29:45
Speaker
Oh, because it's Monica and i think Monica answers the phone and she gives the phone to raw And then the girls are in the kitchen.
00:29:57
Speaker
and um And Rachel's like, how did she get this number? Who gave it to her? And so, and ah Phoebe's like, was it the actor? Was it the cook?
00:30:08
Speaker
Was it the, or the guy that was dating her? And Joey's sitting on the couch and he turns around he's like, ooh, ooh, the guy that was dating her, the guy that was dating her.
00:30:19
Speaker
And it was so funny. that's Again, we have to watch this. Oh, quick side note, bouncing ball. I had all the intentions of the world of watching A League of Their Own yesterday.
00:30:31
Speaker
Oh, It's not on any of the streaming services we have unless I'm willing to pay too much for it. so You know why You know why? Because they're coming out with a new, like they're making a series based on it.
00:30:46
Speaker
So now they figure that they can, it's it's much like um something else that, like Dogma, you can't ever find it anywhere. Well, it's because they're planning on releasing it in theaters again. Okay, it is on the television this week, so i'm going to record.
00:31:05
Speaker
Ooh, I don't remember when and where, but I saw it was coming on, so. Oh, good, okay. It did have good intentions. It didn't quite materialize. Yeah, I'm scared now that I've hyped it up so much that you are not going to enjoy it. This happens to me a lot. I hype up movies I love and people generally don't like them.
00:31:26
Speaker
And that's okay. I'm going to live with it. Well, I'm going to give you a little piece of knowledge from it. There's this one scene where one of the girls, she gets hurt pretty bad and they're like icing her her big giant bruise and everything.
00:31:41
Speaker
And it's real actual boo-boo. that she got playing because these girls were really playing like during the, filming and all of that. Really? Okay. That's good to know. That's a fun yeah piece of information.
00:31:53
Speaker
Yes. And then all the World War II stuff that's in there. It's so cool. Well, I'm looking forward to it. Well, let's see. Ross and Julie, they don't hang up. Ross ends up calling her back and Rachel's just done.
00:32:06
Speaker
She says, you know, she just has to leave. um She has to get out of the apartment, basically. no Oh, is there something else? Well, oh, I don't know. i don't know. But whenever she was like two weeks ago, a week ago even, i was fine.
00:32:24
Speaker
But now where he was just raw. And now he's raw. That's right. A guy I can't have. And so my wonder is if this would hit her.
00:32:37
Speaker
So you brought up the fact that she had never really been rejected. rejected you know like she's never and i remember this ah and i i yeah i think maybe we haven't gotten there yet right but where she's asked a guy out and she's never been told no and all of that but i wonder if part of it isn't that you know not to hate on you know ross and rachel being a great couple or whatever and but
00:33:11
Speaker
if part of the continued allure of Ross is the fact that he now has somebody else. Yeah, you want what you can't have kind of thing.
00:33:23
Speaker
Yeah, there's definitely something. Again, this is new for her. So, you know it's certainly got some sympathy as she's going through this difficult situation for This is just, it's all new. Yeah.
00:33:36
Speaker
And she's got to figure out how to react to it, I suppose. But she can react to it by leaving. she She just needs to get out at this point. um And of course, we end up back in the girls' apartment the next morning where... She's done a stupid would they Now, I am no fan of Paolo.
00:33:57
Speaker
at all. I do love the way he busts through that door and says something like, bonjour no tutti.
Paolo's Return and Chandler's Mystery Shirt
00:34:03
Speaker
The way he says that is an excellent delivery. He thinks they will all be thrilled to see him.
00:34:10
Speaker
Right. They're all friends, you know?
00:34:17
Speaker
Yeah, he's an idiot. Yeah. He truly is. It's just brilliant acting, that scene. I forget his name. is and His name is something like Cosmo, in which I think it might actually be Cosmo.
00:34:31
Speaker
A bit like Kramer and Seinfeld. I think they have the same first name. But yeah, I just love that acting. um He just looks so joyous to be there. Yeah.
00:34:42
Speaker
Yeah. And then hitting on Phoebe mean, what on earth? Not even just hitting on her, but let's just say touching her inappropriately, according to what she did.
00:34:54
Speaker
Right. Yes. I don't know if you could see him touching her, but she certainly says, you know you've got to keep your hands off me, basically. I mean, yeah please. His hand's definitely behind there, behind the counter. And it's like, what on earth?
00:35:09
Speaker
Right. Yeah. But it cracked me up. Yeah, what a horrible human being Paolo is. um Ross and Julie show up for breakfast at this point. I mean, they are not letting each other out of each other's sight, basically. They are lot heavy from the beginning.
00:35:27
Speaker
um But this is what I was going to ask you. So Chandler shows up saying that he's going to go to the tailor. Now, before we get to great line, but Chandler's a chart with a name on it and it says Spike.
00:35:41
Speaker
So I didn't know if that and it says something else on the back. You can clearly see it, but i forgot to write it down. But again, I just thought it was odd that both Rachel and Chandler are wearing fairly plain shirts with somebody else's name.
00:35:54
Speaker
um it in a name tag, like Rachel's shirt? Well, it's not named a sort of like embroidered in. okay. Sort of where I imagine the name tag would go.
00:36:07
Speaker
How weird. Yeah, but Rachel's, I think, says Jessie, and then Chandler's definitely said, I'm sure it says Spike. But it does say on the back of Chandler's shirt, like, what it is, or, you know, where the shirt's from, but forgotten what it is.
00:36:21
Speaker
um But, yeah, Joey, tell him that Joey Tribbiani says hello. That means. Are you sure he's going to crack the code? Yeah.
00:36:33
Speaker
Okay, but okay oh so what are the best lines that I thought was, well, in spite of the yummy bagels and palpable tension, gut pants that need to be altered, that cracked me up.
00:36:46
Speaker
thank you Like, let's just call it what it is. This sucks. ah Absolutely. Yeah, but Joey is going going to the Taylors, Joey Chandler going to the Taylors far happier than he is going to leave as we will find out.
00:37:07
Speaker
um But before we get to that, we do go into Monica's room where Phoebe's cut her hair like Dudley Moore, not who she thought. This is how he wears it.
00:37:25
Speaker
Not a he. It's a she. case I guess i you know you've got to cast your mind back to where I suppose a mistake could happen because you can't just Google it.
00:37:39
Speaker
But right surely, surely that this, it's so funny. And I did wonder when i watched when I saw this scene, I was going to ask you about if if you have a an experience that you would classify as your worst haircut experience ever. Oh my God.
00:37:55
Speaker
Yes, I do. Of course I do. I feel like everybody ever always, right? i certainly do. And I feel like everybody has one story about haircut. Okay, so I go through these stages where I forget I have a round face and I want to have short hair.
00:38:12
Speaker
And then I realized that that is not the way that I should wear my hair. And i also go through these stages where I hate my bangs. So I grow my bangs out.
00:38:23
Speaker
Then I realized I actually miss my bangs and I want bangs. And so this was one summer. where i had grown my bangs out and i had decided i wanted a shorter haircut and i wanted i wanted back oh my god i went to this place with my friend and it was a fancy salon where it was like 50 bucks for a haircut and i just know mean and and maybe no offense to anybody who typically spends this kind of money on haircuts but um i am in education
00:39:00
Speaker
And these are not things that I like to spend a whole lot of money on. um But so I told the lady, you know, i would like bangs and then just a little bit shorter. But I got to keep it to my shoulders because if I go shorter than that, my head looks like a basketball.
00:39:21
Speaker
And so this woman, she gave me the thickest bangs I have ever had in my entire life. Like they started back here. in the middle of my head and then came forward. they were so thick and then the hair was short and then i left and I cried because was like, I don't even know what to do with this.
00:39:44
Speaker
And let's not pretend my cousin, Amanda, who listens, she will ah verify this and my brother will too. i have had the same haircut. I always go back to the same haircut that I've had since I was in kindergarten with just bangs and then it's straight. And sometimes there are layers and sometimes there are not, but it works.
00:40:07
Speaker
It worked for you. And that's terrible. Trying new things. Trying new things. I'm always upset. And so that was the time I tried something new and it was terrible and awful.
00:40:19
Speaker
And as much money as I spent, I feel like that lady should have known better. Absolutely. Because then you have to tip too. so course. So that's crazy. But yeah, these bangs were so thick.
00:40:32
Speaker
They were so thick. and it And I have a cowlick. So it just, it was terrible. It was so sad. Well, just in case there's any transatlantic listeners to this episode, one of, i will try, so bangs in in the UK and other places known as a fringe, the same thing. Oh! Just in case.
00:40:52
Speaker
oh sister sally ellie other people are listening yeah that's your fringe okay french okay but they were super sick like they started a mid my mid scalp like halfway and then just forward and it was so much i can't imagine that would look look good uh anybody yes and i don't like hats And I don't look good in hats and the hats give me headaches, but I wore a lot of hats that summer.
00:41:20
Speaker
Right. I bet. A lot of hats. Yes. I love it. Well, I'll yeah tell you, I've kind of got the opposite story, I suppose, because I don't spend a lot. of god I mean, just I'm just, I'm a guy without a ton of hair.
00:41:36
Speaker
My haircuts are simple and easy. And like you, I've had the same haircut for a long time. um But I have, on occasion, I've got a ah regular, a barber that I go to and I see Anthony Proa, if he's listening, he' the he's the guy, he's my guy.
00:41:53
Speaker
but before i know But before I met him, i would go to other places, just kind of go wherever. And they made the mistake of going to a a chain of hairdressers. And they did nothing wrong, and I must stress that.
00:42:05
Speaker
But it was very cheap. And they cut cut my hair. My hair was actually fine. But... The lady who cut my hair clearly had made life choices that she regretted and did not want to be there.
00:42:17
Speaker
She was not a personable person. She was just, you could just tell. And the chain that I went to offers you, offers ah us gentlemen, I can't remember what it's called, like a hot towel treatment.
00:42:32
Speaker
Like they'll wrap a towel around your face for free. But you there's like a script that this lady had to read. And it went something along the lines of, well, now you've had your hair cut.
00:42:45
Speaker
You're the real MVP here. I think you deserve the MVP treatment. Would you like a face massage? and it was the most uncomfortable and awkward thing ever and i was like really don't but i'm sure that she's you know she has to ask and they want you to have it done i'm like uh yeah fine and it was the most awkward thing she's basically just mashing hot towel in your face and i'm sitting there going i i've got like i don't have like i'm good i'm good
00:43:18
Speaker
Yeah, and I don't have like weird personal space issues. issues I'm a normal human being, but she's just pushing it there. And it's like, she doesn't want to be here. and I don't want to be here, but we have to sit here and do this little dance.
00:43:32
Speaker
And she just clearly hated every second of it. So I've never been back. No. And I pay a little more for my haircuts than than that place, but I'm quite happy to to never be offered um the MVP treatment.
00:43:49
Speaker
The MVP treatment? And she said she said it in a Ross Stadsack voice. You know, that was the thing. It was traumatizing. ah Never again.
00:44:08
Speaker
You're the real MVP. You're the MVP. Would you like the MVP treatment? A hot towel on the face and I'll just push it. Never again. Never again.
00:44:21
Speaker
Whenever Ross does the wooden spoons in the car. Yes, it's exactly like that. That's it.
00:44:31
Speaker
It's just, just terrifying. But you know what's more terrifying is going to a tailor and having some fucking situation where we are now.
00:44:43
Speaker
Um, Yeah, Chandler comes back and, as you talked about, slams door and goes, yo, Paisan. um yeah what Well, before that, that's right. That's at the girls' apartment. He's at the Taylors now where he gives that brilliant line about ah you know how long do you want the cuffs or whatever it is he brought up.
00:45:02
Speaker
Now, I've written down something here and I can't remember why I've written it down. I thought there was a connection with this episode. Maybe it's another Friends episode.
00:45:13
Speaker
But I looked up the guy. i was like, all right, who's this tailor here? And um his name, he's passed away, unfortunately, 10 years ago. But Buck Cartillion. Cartillion.
00:45:24
Speaker
um was a kind of low stakes actor. This is one of his most famous roles. But he also played a character called Julius in Planet of the Apes. and that oh Okay, so I remember thinking, I remember at the time the time, like it was weeks ago, about five hours ago, when I wrote my notes and thinking, oh, there's a Planet of the Apes connection.
00:45:46
Speaker
But I don't remember what it was. It might be in another episode. it may There might not be one. No, there is. Hang on. Because, and it was during season one, because we had a whole conversation about Planet of the Apes, because, ah was it last summer? Sometime.
00:46:05
Speaker
Joseph has gone through and watched all of them. So I've sat in on a whole lot of but Planet of the Apes movies. And I know that you and I have discussed that.
00:46:16
Speaker
Yeah. And I don't know why else that would have come but Right. and but There must have been, there must, there there is, there's a connection. there Yes, yes. Hang on.
00:46:28
Speaker
Oh God. What is it? Cause there was a was it the actress? Because now I'm thinking about the puzzle that I worked and then that was on there and that was the girl from planet of the ape.
00:46:41
Speaker
There's something that he was in the one in 1968, which maybe is the original one. Yeah. That's the original. okay So I wonder if, oh, do they make a, there's some other, okay, but maybe we don't need to focus.
00:47:00
Speaker
But yeah, and and also I've started a Google Doc titled Things That We Say We're Going to Go Back and Talk About. Kate would be thrilled hear that.
00:47:13
Speaker
ah thrilled. She's smiling, but I'm not going tell her what you said until I finish recording. Yes, because we need that in our lives greatly. We do, because there's so many things.
00:47:25
Speaker
Yes. All right But let's see. So this is where Chandler gets cupped, which I think is a is a perfect expression for, like, they're keeping it light. They're keeping it comical, you know, in in so especially in the 90s. I mean, this is the right, this is what was done.
00:47:44
Speaker
um But just there's something that make that's funny about cupping um with Chandler. He bursts into the girl's apartment. And, yeah, what does Yo, paisan.
00:47:56
Speaker
I can't talk to you for a sec. Yeah. Oh, but before that, before that, I do love the way that Phoebe in particular, but all of them, they're kind of treating Monica as if she's undergone some sort of serious medical surgery.
00:48:14
Speaker
It's quite funny, the comments back and forth. Oh, yes. Put a clip in it and the curling seems to have stopped. Can you see her now? yeah Yes. and No, no. Your hair looks too good.
00:48:28
Speaker
Ross, come on. Right. I thought that was a funny little dig. And also, he's the only one who hasn't had the haircut. Like the other two boys have had a haircut by him. that's a That's a great point. I was thinking...
00:48:46
Speaker
And it could be all ah none or all of the above. And I don't know if this is true. Ross's hair becomes the butt of jokes here and there throughout the entire series.
00:48:57
Speaker
Is this the first one? ah Could be. Could be. It might not be. They pick on him a lot, though. like which is we do which is and i you can i don't really see anything like he deserves it more i don't really see anything wrong with this hair it's kind of shiny i get why they do it but i don't see anything wrong with it in particular um it's uh but yeah they do all that that's when chandler storms in very upset about what the tailor did um What does he say? yeah he He's a very bad man. and he took advantage he took advantage of me. of me. Yes.
00:49:35
Speaker
He's like, what? Who's Frankie? Frankie, that's right. That's how they do pants. Yes. Yes, they do. In prison. Yeah. That's my favorite. That little interaction between the three of them is the the pinnacle of this episode for me.
00:49:54
Speaker
um absolutely love it. um And even, we're still in the girl's apartment sort of in the next scene. And you can see that Joey, he's just sitting on the couch and he's's he's reliving his entire life, I think. Traumatized. Yeah, he's questioning everything at this point.
00:50:11
Speaker
Yeah. But let's see, I think it's Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, I think are in the kitchen. And Monica's rightly upset about her hair. um Yeah. um I can picture Dudley Moore and I think it's a pretty accurate picture.
00:50:27
Speaker
yeah way The way I think of him. That's, I mean, she did a good job in the sense that that's what you were going for, then nailed it. um Let's see.
00:50:38
Speaker
I've written that. No, go ahead. made me laugh or whatever. He's like, I think it's a 10. That's right. That's right. The reference of that. Yeah. That they had made earlier in this in the episode, whatever she said, you know,
00:50:53
Speaker
The Dudley Moore that was in 10 and I can't remember the other one now. I forgot the other one. Yeah. But no. Joey's still upset on the couch asking Chandler about the hernia test.
00:51:09
Speaker
Yeah. Which is interesting because I suppose he has a hernia much later on um in the series and doesn't seem like I can't remember to see maybe not really know what it is.
00:51:23
Speaker
Whenever he actually gets the hernia. Yes, he's lying on the floor. the Yes, yes. Sticking out of his stomach. That's right. It's very, very funny. It's such a good scene.
00:51:36
Speaker
But you have ross ah Rachel S. Ross to meet her on the balcony. um You know, she she lets him know that Paolo, that was a whole mistake. They're not back together. um And I think she's on the verge, right? She's on the verge of bringing up her feelings. But then he says, you know, you need to find somebody like I found Julie or something like that.
00:51:57
Speaker
Yep. Kind of shuts her down inadvertently. So she can't do it. She can't tell how she really feels. And then, yeah, I've just written down Joey on phone with dad. and I don't remember, but I'm sure he's asking about something else that happened.
00:52:12
Speaker
know. That's whatever he calls his dad. He's like, swear, dad, that's not how they measure pants. That's right. ah Yeah, because he is traumatized. Like, this is legit making him question all kinds of things.
00:52:29
Speaker
It did remind me, i was trying to think of a lighthearted situation um where there was something that I thought was just a certain way, way into adulthood,
00:52:43
Speaker
And then I found out that it wasn't. And I'm sure I have a situation like this. There's got to be something in my life. But yeah Kate has told a story about our sister-in-law who, and I'm going to get the details wrong, where she thought she was super special.
00:53:01
Speaker
big Kate's now giggling on the other side the room. She thought she was had a unique skill, I believe, to twist her arm 180 degrees or something.
00:53:12
Speaker
And she was very much a grown lady, perhaps a mother. I don't know. it theres Yes, she was. When she realized that she could twist her arm the same as everybody else.
00:53:23
Speaker
Oh. she didn't She thought it was a unique or certainly not everybody could twist it. Oh, her mom told her it was a special skill, assume, when she was a kid.
00:53:36
Speaker
And she believed it well into adulthood. So, Jennifer, if you're listening, I'm sorry for airing your dirty laundry out on the podcast. But that's
Beliefs Challenged in Adulthood
00:53:47
Speaker
okay. It's okay. Because, yeah, we've all got things like that that we thought, you know.
00:53:54
Speaker
And actually, and I bet I can tell you exactly what it was, and it was how her elbow looked whenever she was doing it I bet that's what it was because um there was something like if you put, oh, I can't remember, but there was something is different about different arms and twisting and stuff like that. And I bet you that's what it was. And it's funny because in my teaching career, I've had one or two kids who have gone, oh, Mr. Green, Mr. Green, I'm double jointed.
00:54:25
Speaker
And they're not. but they show me their double jointedness. And of course, you just have to nod and agree. You're not going to burst that bubble. No way. And like I said, I know ah something in my life, this ah this can go on the list as well.
00:54:39
Speaker
um You know, there'll be something that I didn't realize wasn't a certain way well into adulthood, but I'll need to think about it. um Well, it's like those, I was today's today years old whenever I realized You know, like the thing underneath the drawer under the oven isn't actually for storing your pans.
00:55:02
Speaker
Yeah, the warming. Different things like that. um Yeah, i there are so many. And every time I watch them, I'm always like, wow, really?
00:55:13
Speaker
Yeah, it's definitely happened to me. I just can't think of an example. yeah um But we end this episode back at Central Park where Phoebe's going to talk about cutting a Julie's hair with Andy McDowell.
00:55:27
Speaker
And then Rachel kind tricks her into is wrote Roddy McDowell. Rodney. Yeah. mcdowell That's it. Uh, which I guess thinking to next week, she doesn't get a haircut. I can't picture Rodney McDowell, but I assume it wouldn't be flattering.
00:55:46
Speaker
Uh, no. Although now think about it. Does Julie end up with shorter hair at some point? Kind of like a shoulder length haircut. I don't think so. you know she's always i'm I'm not sure either. She's always got, maybe she always has long hair. I don't know.
00:56:02
Speaker
Um, But we'll we'll find out. We'll find out. um Yeah, but we can end on that note. We've gotten to know Julie a bit.
00:56:13
Speaker
um ah Hey, you know who Roddy McDowell is? I don't think so. He was also in Planet of the Apes.
00:56:25
Speaker
ah Does Rachel say that at the very end? Like, does she say, oh that's the one that's in the Planet of the Apes. Maybe that's- Yeah, maybe Maybe that's it. We'll go back and check. ah Now that you say that, I think maybe she says,
00:56:40
Speaker
Well, oh Andy McDowell knows she was in Planet of the Apes. Rodney or whatever it is, McDowell. Yes, the guy from Planet of the Apes. That's it. That's Okay. That's the connection.
00:56:51
Speaker
So, again, coincidence maybe, but I like trying to find these. No, but I still think that there's something about it because I remember having a conversation with you about how, yeah like, Joseph has watched all them because there's a bunch.
00:57:11
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. There's these interesting little conversations. Um, yeah, but yeah we can end the episode there. um yeah, so that's it. We do find that Julie's made her entrance. We've gone to know a little bit, but we'll get to know her more over the next coming
Rachel's Growth and Maturity
00:57:29
Speaker
Um, but yeah, tell me who do you think would be your Gunther Central Park? My Gunther Central Park of the week is Rachel.
00:57:41
Speaker
Because because hi i think I love unhinged Rachel at the beginning. so Like that, track me up and using the flowers to stop her bleeding.
00:57:53
Speaker
Like that was hilarious. am ah You know, i enjoyed a little bit of the no, no coffee if you haven't talked to Rachel or Ross yet. And then send it over the lemonade and send them Ross away and all of that.
00:58:09
Speaker
But then at the end, whenever her Ross are out on the balcony, her thinking about him and doing what's best for Ross in that moment, I appreciated that. Because she very easily could have taken Joey's advice. He's liked 10 years, and been dating two weeks.
00:58:32
Speaker
hes liked you for ten years and he's been dating her for two weeks right She very easily could have taken that advice and sent Julie down the river and it that would have been it.
00:58:46
Speaker
But i appreciated that piece. And so, you know, she had a moment where she wasn't being selfish yeah and she was hilarious and awkward and it was great.
00:58:58
Speaker
Yeah, she is putting Ross's... their friendship and Ross's feelings ahead of her own. And I think that is admirable. No, I think that's a great choice. And if it wasn't for this one little storyline, I think I probably would have gone with Rachel too, but I love Chandler's reaction to the Taylor situation.
00:59:19
Speaker
And I love the scenes leading up to it. I love the scene after it, or the, know, it's not even the whole scene, but those interactions so much. And combine that with that, you know, a couple of the really funny lines he has, I have to go with Chandler.
00:59:34
Speaker
Yes. Hey, Piedon. yeah Got a sec? And he just way slams the door, like all of that stuff. um I have to go with Chandler.
00:59:46
Speaker
All right. All right. But yeah, we're back getting out and we're back at Central Park. We're getting our cups of coffee brewed. How many are we brewing for you for this episode? Okay, so i'm I'm starting off pretty high there.
01:00:01
Speaker
I enjoyed this episode a whole lot, so I'm going nine mugs. oh Wow, we are so strong. All the plots were good, like all three of the storylines, they were good, they were funny, and like I said, I love some unhinged stuff.
01:00:18
Speaker
Whenever everybody's getting worked up about things, but then whenever there's something sweet in there too and lots of laugh moments, I'm here for it. Yep. I am also going with a strong start.
01:00:32
Speaker
Now, I'm going with eight eight and a half. Okay. So a very similar vein to you. Cause again, there's three funny, well, tip three strong storylines. The haircut's funny.
01:00:45
Speaker
Um, the, the Taylor is funny and the, the, um, Julie one plays out well, like it's not funny per se, but it plays out well. We see the other side of Rachel. So I think they've managed to squeeze in three good storylines into one episode.

Um, so for that, again, eight, eight and a half, um, for me, ah a very strong start to season two. um So next week we will be talking about the one with the breast milk, which I'm looking forward to because I can picture just one or two little scenes, but I don't quite remember the rest of the story. i So I'm looking forward to re-watching that.
01:01:24
Speaker
um But before we sign off today, any final thoughts before we end this app this episode? Um, no, I'm just excited for season two.
01:01:34
Speaker
I'm excited. Ooh, did we have any listener mail that we need to talk about? You know what? I do. We've got, don't think I'll be able to find it to be, you commented on it. We have a lovely email or message on Facebook from a listener in the Netherlands, um, who we talked and tell if you, I feel like you're looking, so I'll kind of tell the backstory. Maybe you'll find it because you commented on it.
01:01:58
Speaker
Um, We talked about Nina Bookbinder, who Chandler flirts with and then, you know, is meant to fire her, but ends up trying to date her, give her a promotion. The details are a little fuzzy now.
01:02:12
Speaker
And I just remember thinking, or you might be new to, that Bookbinder was an interesting choice of ah last name or surname for, um you know, a character who barely has anything um anything going on she's very much just a bit part ah in that episode and then we had a lovely message from a listener who said that the name in Dutch is not uncommon I don't think and it's very similar something like bookbinder or I don't quite remember what it is I've just insulted all of the Netherlands I'm sure with that but we love y'all
01:02:49
Speaker
Yeah, we do indeed. um Kate and I were there. That's somewhere for the second time and we couldn't, we can't wait to get back there. And she mentioned, um she also mentioned just how there's a whole lot of nods to the Netherlands throughout the entire series.
01:03:07
Speaker
Yeah, I mean, we've had... um the sort of the the fake Monica um who speaks Dutch because she lived in Amsterdam. We know that there's and and in the one with the Super Bowl part one, I think, which is in season two, think it's that episode.
01:03:26
Speaker
Certainly Super Bowl related episode. um There's a Dutch lady because Joey thinks her name is Dutch, which is great. Yeah. You're right. there's There's several references throughout to Dutch people, to the Netherlands.
01:03:41
Speaker
um Fake Monica lived in Amsterdam. um But she wrote a lovely message um to us. If we can't find it, we'll maybe bring it up on the next episode.
01:03:53
Speaker
But just talk talking about that last name, and it's not uncommon, the Dutch version of it is not uncommon. um So again, maybe that is a nod. um Did you have any luck finding it? Oh, no, i got distracted looking at What were you looking at?
01:04:08
Speaker
I'm sorry. It's close, all right. Oh, gosh, yes, because I sure did comment on it, and then I was like, I wonder if I was looking at that on Instagram, so I just pulled up Instagram.
01:04:22

01:04:55
Speaker
She's posted on there. Oh, I found it. It's... a Either Anna or Anna Valster. um And she said that she discovered our podcast and is catching up.
01:05:08
Speaker
ah Bamboozled is her favorite part so far. And she really loves trivia, which all of us, yes. She's from the Netherlands and Bookbinder is a Dutch word.
01:05:22
Speaker
Boek, B-O-E-K-B-I-N-D-E-N. And the man who does it for a living is a bookbinder. um It's an old profession from 1600 or so. And maybe that Nina's ancestors came from the Netherlands.
01:05:39
Speaker
And then she mentioned, you know, that the Netherlands comes up a whole bunch of different times. And so I'm excited because she'll continue to share whenever things pop up That's right. She can do Netherlands watch for us. Yes.
01:05:57
Speaker
Anna. and Thank you. yeah Thank you so much. And then, Shelley, thank you for reaching out on Instagram. She'd mentioned that she's binging through as well because she just found a podcast a couple of weeks ago.
01:06:10
Speaker
And she was looking at a few other Friends ah re reward ah rewatch pods, which there are. There's a few others out there. I've got nothing bad to say about any of them. I've listened to a couple. If you're talking about Friends and promoting the the Friends universe, you're fine by me.
01:06:26
Speaker
But she's listened to ours is staying with it. She says, love you guys and look forward to hearing more episodes. So super, super exciting. very Really, really sweet message. So thank you, Shelley, for that.
