i think I think both could work. Ben Chilwell, I'm kind of pleased the chat is of a lone move rather than, you kind of want Palace to get a chance to assess his fitness a bit.

bet him in a bit before they actually shout out any um real coin on the man. He's played less than half of Chelsea's games for each of the last three seasons, I think. It's been a long time since he's been properly fit. um But what we do know about him is He can be brilliant in a and a back three, in that left-wing back row. He was brilliant there for Tuchel when they won the Champions League and that little run at the start of the subsequent season where everyone had Trent, Rhys, James, Chul and their fantasy teams. And he scored like three and seven and he thought, wow, wow, he's class and they got injured for the whole year.

um I also think it's kind of football he has played last year or two has been probably fairly encouraging actually. He did quite well I thought when he played for Pochettino last season even though he was playing in a flat back four his attacking numbers and output were pretty good so he's still posing a threat there.

This is a great confusion, about isn't it? because That is the reason you think it could happen. um The idea of Palace selling their only left wingback who they've been running into the ground. I have a desperation to have a left wingback with three days left in the window or less um seems seems crazy and I guess the only reason they would is if a decent offer comes in.

and he's only got six months left on his deal. I kind of think even then it's one of those where don I don't know if they could get that much if there's any team that willing to pay that much over the odds for him because I don't think he's United's long-term solution. I think he'd be their sort of second choice option almost maybe for compared to Patrick Dorgue who looks like he's getting closer and closer to actually signing for the United City. You know he's not a specialist left wing back because we've seen he's doing really well he's got lots of experience there this season but when you can sign anyone and it's such an important position to Amorim's dogmatic system

Well, that home now one little home win against Stockport really got my poles racing. also In reality, my best moment in January, probably the moment that got me most excited was Mateta's equaliser against Chelsea, first game of the new year.

the whole game felt like ah one of those sort of, even though Palace has actually finished 2024 really strongly, symbolically, it felt like a ah page turned, a new slate. um Chelsea, at that point, we were thinking of as one of the best teams in the league, one of the ones, and maybe in any kind of tyre race there was, they've really dropped off since then. But it started really well, and pal team that have been so kind of easily rocked and unconfident at the start of the season, found a story for their heads to drop, just really calmly played their way back into the game and

Just been an absolute like ticker of of a player in midfield, just keeping it mulling over, winning the ball back. All the midfielders around have have been dropping flights and going into the injury injury room. And he's just been there like absolutely solid. um

it's It's probably the news, I think, coming out today that Chedi Ríad's out for the rest of the season, and ah probably out for the rest of the season. I think just because it leaves Palace in a position where you probably look around the team now and and bar perhaps the front three or up front, you kind of think, probably could do with strengthening.
