And what a direct it was. Did you watch it live, Shark? yeah the direct was i mean because the switch is coming to the end of its life cycle yeah man they uh nintendo doesn't hold punches they never disappoint yeah no absolutely this is for ah for what we thought was probably gonna be it was probably gonna be like a lot a couple of ports remasters maybe one or two things that are new

Uh, we were way off of those predictions because Nintendo came out swinging and starting off with the Nintendo Direct, they revealed the brand new entry into the Mario and Luigi franchise, Brothership, which releases November 7th. ah Their first the transition of the 2d RPG games that started on the game boy transitioned into 3d animated Beautifully if I may add looks absolutely amazing and I definitely might pick this up

I think Nintendo continues to show that you don't really have to make a AAA top of the line production game in order to make very good games. Yeah, no, absolutely. A lot of people are saying that this was also like a big surprise because the original studio that did the Mario and Luigi franchise is shut down.

Oh nice. I never had the Nintendo World Championship one. But I will say this, Nintendo, hear me out. Bring back Dr. Hunter, please. Oh, I want a new Dr. Hunter. Honestly, I'm surprised that they I'm surprised they may be like having like but like because you absolutely could with the the switch. I could have done it with the wheat, too. I don't know if they had it with easily, but they could easily do that. And that would be well I mean, it would.

It's getting the sequel where it's gonna cover the Alvarez Empire arc. And all I gotta say is what? Why? I'm not saying Fairy Tail's bad enough to like not get a sequel game. I'm just saying... I'm genuinely surprised that it's getting a sequel game. And the fact that it's just Alvarez Empire, that was kind of... Okay. Because Alvarez Empire arc, it's good, but it's not great. it's They should have done certain things in the final arc to make it better.

That's all I'm gonna say. The game comes out winter 2024, no exact release date as of yet. ah Then we got one of two games that was announced that is getting out of Apple Arcade Hell, and that is Fantasian Neodimension, which comes out holiday 2024. This was the game created by the series creator of Final Fantasy and music done by the legend himself, Nobuo Uematsu. And I didn't know that this was an Apple Arcade exclusive before. ah It was. So it's coming out on everything. It's going to be time ah timed console exclusive on the Switch this holiday, 2024, and then out on other things after that.

The best part of sports, which was bowling, golf is subjective of whether you liked the golfer golf or not in the original or resort. um But it took bowling golf and it modified tennis into table tennis. um It left out baseball and boxing, but then it added sword fighting, jet ski racing, plane flying. Uh, it added so many fucking just cool sports and it was just, it it is like one of my all time favorite games on the Wii. It is absolute. It's just, oh, so good. So good. But there are basketball, which is, which, what which was originally in Wii Sports Resort as well. Um, so basketball coming back, uh, sometime this summer.

um Then we got probably the the the game with the most mystery around it, Mio Memories in Orbit, which looks like a Metroidvania type game with a really um like cool art style with like very cool pencil designs, like penciled in designs. um And all we know is it's coming out next year, but it looks really cool everyone that that I've watched the React to the directions like oh this looks this looks pretty this is like giving like a little Hollow Knight vibes It's and yeah, so can't wait to see more on whatever that is ah So that yeah, that's cool Can't wait to see more. Coming out of time clock time, coming out of Apple Arcade exclusivity next year. Look forward to it. And then we were shown probably the worst, one of the worst looking games, but again, it's on the Switch, so not everything's not gonna look as great. Looney Tunes, Wacky World of Sports, which is four arcade sport type games, all with the Looney Tunes paint on it, um coming out Fall 2024. I believe it showed soccer, basketball basketball, tennis, and we don't know what the fourth one was. I don't think they showed the fourth one. um But that comes out fall 2024. You could play as all the Looney Tunes. If you let us play as Michael Jordan as well, then I'm in.

Then Among Us, which ah was kind of what leaked the date of what the Nintendo Direct would be because a trailer released when it shouldn't and then they took it down. but ah So Among Us released three new roles, which are all out now. The Phantom Impostor, which lets you turn invisible. The Noise Maker, which whenever you die, it alerts everybody to your position. And the Tracker, which lets you track other players. So that's out now. And then we got a trailer to a game that was shown off at the Marvelous Games Showcase, Farmagia, which has now a release date of November 1st, and they showed us a bit of gameplay. Take Pikmin of like controlling ah like monsters to do things for you in battle, and make it a farming sim where you grow all your creatures in a farm.

Compare now add that with the art style of fairy tale creator hero Mashima you get for magia You see I was like, oh this game looks interesting when it was the marvelous showcase Get marvelous game showcase and now that I've seen a little bit more of this. I'm like, oh, maybe I'm not gonna play this This is not my style of game. So yeah, ah that was for magia then the first ah the remake The first remake that they showed, Donkey Kong Country she Returns HD. HD version of the Wii's Donkey Kong Country Returns. is Yeah, you know what? It's Donkey Kong, I'm excited. Yeah, you know what? Actually, I played return Donkey Kong Country Returns. It was my first actual Donkey Kong game that I ever played. um So, you know, it's nice to see it coming to the Switch. It's coming to the Switch January 16th, 2025 with all the 3DS levels as well.

Uh, so yeah, that's it's it's cool. not Not like groundbreaking cool, but it's cool if you like Donkey Kong. Uh, but then we got to something really cool. We finally have a release date of the Dragon Quest 3 HD 2D remake and it's November 14th and oh, it looks so good. It looks incredible. ah I've never played the earlier Dragon Quest games and i'm definitely I'm definitely getting that because it looks so good. Oh yeah, same. I've i've played Dragon Quest XI. I think it is like one of the best our top three RPGs I have played all time. ah And I definitely do want to play Dragon Quest III with this on November 14th. And then they're like, oh, hey, we're not done yet.

We're also making an HD 2D remake of Dragon Quest 1 and 2 coming out next year. ah And then the creator of the series came out and said, yeah, actually, three if you didn't know, 3 is a prequel to 1 and 2. And I'm like, oh, I did not know that. yeah Yeah. He's a prequel. That's why they're doing it as they're doing it. That makes sense. Which is super cool. So a great way to play the first three. And it gives us hope that they'll maybe do the same with I don't know what like Dragon Quest transitioned into 3d so 4 and 5 I would assume are still 2d as well Maybe 6 as well I don't know but hey it gives me hope for the Dragon Quest series ah for them to give us modern versions of all the games Mm-hmm Then we got into our next batch of headlines starting with ah actually I take it back This was the worst looking game. It looked bad. Now granted, it's running on the Switch, so of course it's gonna look bad, but still, this looked bad. And this was also our first look at gameplay for the game too, ever since we've but known about Funko Fusion from all the other showcases. Oof! Why would you go with Nintendo to be the one to showcase your gameplay? Not gonna lie, Funko. Like, get bad decision on your part. Uh, cause it's kinda just gonna deter people from buying your game to think that it's like, oh, all versions are gonna look like this. No, it's probably just a switch. Then we got a smorgasbord of games. ah Again, that's what the announcer said. Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, which is out now. That was kind of just a reminder of like, hey, it's here. ah The new Dempamen. ah Which, if you don't know the Dempament, I vaguely knew of the Dempament because ah I don't remember what they were on originally. It was either like the 3DS or Wii U that I vaguely remember the Dempament. It's got a bit of like find me vibes as well from the 3DS. It's gonna be free to play coming July 22nd. This was apparently also a mobile game. From what I understood of certain people reacting to this, this was a mobile game and now they're porting it to the Switch.

Uh metal slug attack reloaded with zen show. This is the metal slug card card dour defense game but look ah It's out. It's out now And uh, we also got a trailer for darkest dungeon 2 which comes out july 15th Then we go into the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass and what they announced. Two things for the Game Boy and two things for the Nintendo 64 17 plus category, which was just added. ah For the Game Boy Advance, A Link to the Past plus Four Swords is ah is out there now. You can play A Link to the Past Game Boy version and Four Swords with Online Multiplayer.

And on the N64 side, Turok was added and Perfect Dark was added, which is very fitting considering we just got the new trailer for the Perfect Dark remake that they added the original Perfect Dark to the N64, which I think is that's perfect. Mm hmm. I agree. um Then we got a trailer for Phantom Brave, The Lost Hero, which comes out 2025. It didn't look super interesting, not gonna lie. um So I'm just gonna leave it there. The Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection Arcade Classics, which comes out later this year, which no one expected. This is a pack of seven games, which includes Marvel vs. Capcom, but Marvel vs. Capcom 2, X-Men Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, and The Punisher. Seven arcade classics all in one bundle and the big thing at Marvel vs Capcom 2 that's what people are the most excited about ah to have Netcode rollback with that game and it to be accessible everywhere um As it will be ah not everywhere. It's not coming on Xbox um But it'll be on switch PlayStation and PC, but not Xbox which was surprising hmm

ah Then we got our next big Nintendo game Super Mario Party Jamboree, which comes out October to 17th Which is um, they're calling it the biggest Mario Party game they've ever made It's gonna have five brand new original boards to returning boards ah One from Mario Party 1 and what I can't remember the name of and Westworld Western world from Mario Party 2 ah a whole bunch of brand new mini games, 20 player online multiplayer mode and a whole bunch of other modes. It looks super fun. It's looking like even though it's the super Mario Party name, it looks like they've gone back to their roots. The roots of like modern Mario Party didn't do what Super Mario Party did, which with which was not good. yeah But it looks like Mario Party was not. Yeah, it was not that good. Yeah. Superstars was great because it kept the classic Mario Party formula and it looks like this kind of follows the classic formula.

And also, thank you, Nintendo, for this next game, but The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, a brand new Zelda game in the art style of Link's Awakening on the Switch um with the little like clay-mation kind of look, toy look. Finally finally, yeah ah It's uh, you you're given an item called the try raw try rod and you go collect echoes of items to progress through the world and It it looks great it looks fun And it comes out September 26 along with the Nintendo switch light Hyrule edition

More like them with their um date releases, because I remember back in the day when E3 was still a thing when they teased Elder Scrolls 6. Now it was about seven years ago and they showed literally nothing and Nintendo, they'll show you a game.

Here's my opinion on why the Elder Ray DLC was too hard.

Just I'm just saying see ah In Jackbox news, Jackbox Games announced the Jackbox Mega Picker for Steam. This is a free product to sort and filter the various Jackbox games. It's gonna launch sometime in July and they're gonna hold an anime on Reddit ah around the launch with more details on how it's gonna work. um So that way you don't have to open and close ah various Jackbox party packs, I believe is the thing. Which I think is pretty neat.

It's your boy Mist here with your update into all things Apex Legends related. It has been a month, let me tell you. ALGS balance changes new modes. The state of Apex has not been like this since 2021 and not in a good way. This month's average player count is at its lowest since December of 2021. Yet a new solos mode, a new quads mode, and balance changes are not fixing the issue. Is Apex set to come crashing down? Even with a potential bright horizon for the new season coming, many are asking if anyone will even care anymore when that time comes. In ALGS news, at this time, 7 out of 9 matchdays have been played in NA and EMEA, placing Team Falcon's first overall NA by a long shot and the newly signed phase roster barely holding onto first for EMEA. APAC North and APAC South have played all 9 matchdays and will play regional finals, July 6th. Currently, Fnatic is in first for APAC North and Legends Gaming in first for APAC South.

In other ALGS news, there have been many roster change-ups. Here's a snapshot from oldest to newest. Native Gaming has rebuilt their roster, picking up SnipeDown and Muffins. Abe Gang has been signed by Empire Esports. TylerFPS has left Na'Vi Esports for Ethereal Esports. It's Timmy has left Disguised, after finishing last place overall in this most recent split, to go to Moist Esports. Timmy is replaced empty who retired from Apex only to put his name out there to play less than a week later. Fan favourite Team 07 led by Naski has been signed by NIP Esports. Tripods were signed to Kansas City Pioneers. Skidmark were signed by Bleed Esports. Now these are not all the changes that have occurred.

but just a snapshot of the biggest and most noteworthy changes in these last few weeks. Outside of ALGS, Apex has had very little happening. A solo's limited time mode was added for six weeks, but it replaced the duo's mode. And in the most recent update, they introduced a quad's limited time mode that yet again replaced the duo's mode. Along with this patch, on June 25th, they nerfed Bloodhound to the point that not a single team will even touch him anymore. They have also reworked Bangalore, making her smokes worse, but yet her pickery is still 90%. They attempted to nerf the Havoc Assault Rifle by reducing the magazine size, but the gun is still unmatched across the board with its crazy DPS and damage per made. The matchmaking has also been terrible for all levels of play.

So between all these lazy limited time modes, removing the chrome game mode of duos for six weeks, and weak balance updates, it's a no brainer as to why nobody's excited to play the game right now. And when they do, they often get cheated on within a few games. This game is amazing and has lots of potential. But the lackluster performance right now is due to so many items not performing the way they should be. This next season has a lot of promises and a lot of hopes. But if they do not deliver, This could very well be the end of Apex Legends as we know it today, but we will just have to wait and see. Until then, stay legendary.

Hmm. I'm going to go with. old game. And honestly, I was disappointed that they didn't reveal it yet for the Nintendo Direct thing. But Twilight Princess. That's a good choice. Everybody should play Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess because. Although we are the GameCube. The Wii Wii U one, because that one's the HD one. OK, the HD one. All right. Yeah, because. man. for some reason they have decided not to port that or ah the the windwaker one so yeah you know somehow if you can play twilight princess play it please because it's It's actually like it keeps on growing on me. And I think it's one of the best elders ever made and one of the best stories easily. Yeah, for example but absolutely. Well, with that shark is done. We made it through.
